When #practicingviolin repeated #downbow #chords it’s helpful to think of the bow stroke and return quickly to the frog as a single motion, like throwing a ball on the ground and catching it when it rebounds. You need to catch the ball before throwing it again so the down-up motion can be thought of as a single cycle. Similarly, each chord will begin and end at the frog (down-up). Here’s a demonstration of the chords at the end of #violinconcerto in #aminor by J. B. Accolay. Three videos: 1) Throwing a ball against the ground and catching it to experience the motion/cycle of repeated down bow chords. ~swipe left~ 2) Repeat each chord a few times, making sure the bow returns or rebounds quickly back to the string (hair touches the string at the beginning and end of each chord). ~swipe left~ 3) Performance version. Chords are clear and easy. There is no crashing or swatting of the string since I’ve practiced the return as part of each chord. Practicing chords in this way will prepare students for the extensive rapid down bow chords in #praeludiumandallegro by #fritzkreisler which is a piece most of my advanced #violinstudents learn. #physicsandmusic #kinestheticlearning #kinestheticlearner #kinestheticlearners #violinteacher #practiceroom #violintechnique #violinpedagogy #violateacher #stringpedagogy #stringplayer #stringsattached #violinguy #violintips #loveviolin #practiceviolin #lingling40hours @paoyi_2005 (at Washington D.C.) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRjKkt1gwyQ/?utm_medium=tumblr

Lead Sheet for the song Frosty the Snow Man
This is my transcription for the song Frosty the Snowman on vocals and guitar. The melodic line on the Stave is the vocal melody, with the words below the Stave. The chords for guitar are written above the Stave, I chose these to harmonize with the melody line.
Notice how there are no sharps or flats. This would indicate the key signature of the song is either in Cmajor, or it's relative minor, Aminor.
This song is however in Cmajor. The first chord is Cmajor, and the melody line starts on G, the perfect fifth of the Cmajor scale.
This is the transcription for the main body of the song, including the bridge.

This is the transcription I made for the outro of the song.

Practice Routine - 4/10/18
1.
This week I practiced an ascending chromatic exercise on my guitar to help build finger dexterity, finger speed and hand coordination. I did semi occluded to help me have better control over my voice. I did Goo’s and Foo’s to help improve my head voice. I also practices playing 4 chords along to a metronome starting at a slow bpm to a faster bpm to keep in time.
2.
This week I practiced “When You Love Someone” by James TW. This shows of my fingerpicking skills as i pick the whole song. I Have become more confident with this piece during my practice because when I first started I was uncomfortable with this much fingerpicking throughout the whole song and this has proven as a challenge. I can still improve on this by solidifying my confidence in the song and play it near perfect every time.
3.
Firstly, I start with by stretching and warming up so I don’t damage anything. Secondly, I do my vocal exercises to warm up my voice. After that i start doing my ascending chromatic exercises then go on to practice my solo song.
4.
A reoccurring challenge I came across with the chromatic exercise is that i struggled the hand coordination between left and right and picking the strings with my right hand while still moving my left hand. I have overcome this by practicing everyday and I have improved my technique. I also came across a timing issue with my solo piece due to it being a challenge for me but i’ve practiced and the timing has improved due to me using a metronome to stay in time.
5.
I am on track as I wanted to improve my finger technique and hand coordination also I practiced minor shape chords. To do this I practiced minor chords for example: Fminor, Bminor, Aminor.
6.
So far I have developed my timing well when playing chords but could still use some improvement. My biggest improvement is my hand coordination and my fingerpicking as I have worked on that the most during my practice routine.
7.
I think the biggest thing I could improve on is my head voice as my voice is quite low and I would like to be able to sing songs at a higher frequency. I will achieve this by doing more Goo’s and Foo’s to help the bridge between chest and head voice.
8.
The band song I have to work on is “I Miss You” by Clean Bandit ft. Julia Michaels, I sing and play keyboard in this piece which is out of my comfort zone as I am not a keyboard player but I am able to be versatile and will change positions if needed making me an all round better musician. I worked on the singing part making sure it was in key and on time as the band slowed down the tempo. I couldn’t work on the keyboard part as I don’t have keyboard access at home for now but I will soon so I have to practice it at college.
9.
This week we improved on our new song “I Miss You”. As a band we found this was challenging because we slowed it down because it’s a higher frequency song than our singers frequency range. We mainly struggled with timing in the piece a lot so in our rehearsal sessions we primarily focus on that because the structure of the piece is the starting base. As a band we discuss ideas and contribute to others instruments/voices and give constructive criticism as something can always be improved and we accept the feedback. Sometimes we get off track and play a different song which is bad for us as we are not done but it’s something as a band we can improve on and work towards focusing more.
10.
For next week I aim to find and practice my third song ready for a performance.

#melodious #doublestops #violinpractice I let my #violinstudents know composers include double stops to create the illusion of #singingharmony and not just to challenge the #violinist with something difficult! Here is a passage from #violinconcerto no 1 in #aminor by J.B. Accolay mm. 28-32 I practice and present such double stop passages to my #youngviolinists as follows: Four videos: 1) Practice each line separately. Use the performance fingering. If the student is struggling with intonation, practice using the simplest fingering possible, then proceed to the performance fingering. ~swipe left~ 2) Practice each line separately while fingering both lines. This is where I spend the majority of my practice time with double stops. This stage helps me find where the fingers may be getting tangled up or tripping over each other. In this passage I have particular difficulty placing the high A (second note) without the second finger rolling into the E string. It is only by practicing in this manner that I can correct this flaw. ~swipe left~ 3) Performance version, double stops only, excluding chords. I want to reinforce the expectation of horizontal, singing feeling where I am pulling the strings sideways so I omit the chord for now. ~swipe left~ 4) Full performance version with chord. When adding the #chord or quadruple stop, in this case, I use only an inch or two of bow on the lower notes. This enables me to change to the higher strings at the frog, where the string crossing is minimized and leaves plenty of bow to sing the upper #melody notes. Note: Depending on the level of experience/comfort with double stops, students can spend anywhere from several minutes to several weeks on each step. A teacher should supervise and assign each step as appropriate. #classicalviolinist #violinlesson #violinlessonsforkids #soloviolinist #soloviolin #violinpedagogy #violintips #practiceroom #creativemusicians #stringsattached #stringteacher #violinclass #violinmasterclass #suzukiteacher #suzukiviolinteacher @paoyi_2005 (at Washington D.C.) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQoRnivg3rB/?utm_medium=tumblr

You are very blessed to review this because I am above to reveal you an item from program as mentioned over that has actually been actually launched lately along with full capability to make your personal dancing popular music along with your personal computer at home. For example, you can play this tune passably making use of only 5 quick and easy chords (Em, Dsus2, G, D, Aminor) yet adding in the (likewise simple) E minor 7 to the progress, rather than adhering to Em, gives a beautiful difference when playing this track.
Birthed with an ideal sound inherited off her family members of musicians (Uncles Niño as well as Kiko, Aunt Leonor and her mommy Judith have actually understood the banduria, piano, cello or even violin as well as are previous winners from the National Music Competitors for Young Artists), Oliva has developed to adore her stringed tool. Due to the fact that they will most very likely identify and appreciate the songs along with that, one from the objectives from the found study was actually to target 7th and 8th quality little ones. This was determined from previous researches that a favorite hobby for youngsters as well as teens is paying attention to music (Nippold, Duthie & Larsen, 2005; Steinberg, 1996; Buckton, 1998; McFerran & Quest, 2008). The music phone sector is actually a fairly specialized arena and also competition coming from other producers is actually thin, there is the Sony Ericsson Aino and W995 models which both deliver a somewhat more advanced cam to the Nokia X6's 5.0 ultra pixel lens however each of these styles rely upon slide out keypads rather than the remarkable contact monitor of the Nokia phone. If this sounds like you, then you will definitely possess no trouble using Popular music Maker 16. Those along with a lot less music potential will definitely still manage to use the program, and also generate some excellent audios, however they will possibly certainly not take advantage of as most of the additional synthesizers and also blenders that advanced users would certainly. It wasn't up until I moved to Los Angeles that I acknowledged to on my own that visite site I was heading to carry out pop music although I in the beginning started with jazz and timeless piano, which is a remarkable experience however I regularly intended to make an effort something a little bit even more like checking out the stand out area. To check out basic musical notation the novice should know a little popular music theory as well as discover exactly what all the notation signs indicate yet along with guitar buttons, instead of keep in minds you have varieties that merely inform you where to put your hands.

As 16 escalas jazz
6. Aeolian or Natural Minor 1-2-b3-4-5-b6-b7-8 (Amin7)
7,5 Locrian # 2 1-2-b3-4-b5-b6-b7-8 (Bmin7b5)
# 8 e # 9 As Escalas Diminuidas8. Half-Whole Diminished or Dominante Diminuiu 1-b2-b3-3- # 4-5-6-b7-8 (C13b9)
16. Mixopiani Bebop 8-7-b7-6-5-4-3-2-1 (G7)

Practical Problem
Yesterday I went to the Lewisham Campus of LS College to meet the singer I am working. Before we could even start rehearsing I had encountered a practical problem. I played the first chord which is a G#Minor, it sounded like what I played was a semitone lower. I quickly figured it out and the first chord changed to a AMinor chord which made it easier for me to work out the rest of the song. After I had worked out the whole chord sequence we ran through a few times
