See, the nice thing about trying to learn a song on guitar means you learn to appreciate it in a whole new way, you get that sense of accomplishment like, hey, I can do that too now! The bad thing is that you wind up wanting to rip your ears off if you have to hear that fucking riff one more time

my top FOB basslines ranking goes like Sunshine Riptide > I'm Like A Lawyer = 27 > So Good Right Now > 16 Candles = Tiffany Blews > Hum Hallelujah but also that's just off the top of my head and based halfway on technical aspects and halfway on emotional attachment so it may be subject to change 🤷‍♀️

i haven't played guitar or sung in a while. it's hard to sing when i'm in the fog. been trying the last few days.
these are not very good, but for the sake potentially not hating them when i listen to them a few months later, or even realizing that i'm doing better (mentally, musically)... here's some (really) bad covers. :'D
all unedited (and with loads of mistakes and off notes) because i couldn't be fucked. (just me, some mulled wine, badly strumming the guitar and bathroom acoustics). (please trust me when i say these really are not good. you've. uh. been warned).
(also please be warned that all of them have very depressing, teenage-angst lyrics lmao. these are just fun/easy to sing/play).
can never get the end/climax of this song right. beware of very.. questionable lyrics (that i messed up btw) lmao
one of my favourite songs to play because i love the simple chord progression and it's easy/comfortable for me to sing, even if i don't sound particularly good singing it. this take is way too fast and i fucked up the end. yikes.
gives me cramps in the hands (got a cramp at the end).
i forgot half of the lyrics and how to sing the latter parts ahahahaha. but otherwise i thought it was okay. i struggle with the high parts. (i did add reverb to this one). "everyone i love is gonna die" is prime edge.
yeah i know i don't sing this the way it's supposed to be sung. big whoop.

also idk enough about music and how this works to explain it but there's a very specific way Pete Wentz plays bass and it's so fun to single out in a song and listen to it
