𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗴𝘄𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀

This was soooo fun, but also really difficult! All the characters at some point, display attributes from all the houses. Everyone has moments of immense bravery, they’re all loyal to someone(s), they all have their own creative or intellectual abilities, and they display ambition or determination in what they do.

The trick was for me to decide which traits I thought defined them the MOST. And who knows, maybe I’ll change my mind one day, but rn, I think I’m happy with these decisions.

- ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴇ: ɢʀʏꜰꜰɪɴᴅᴏʀ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ʜᴜꜰꜰʟᴇᴘᴜꜰꜰ)

I think the biggest thing that pushes him into Gryffindor is his reckless chivalry. He doesn’t think about the consequences before doing something and is unable to acknowledge the affect of those decisions long-term (his vigilantism, for example). He’s constantly making choices that are completely reactionary and not ever really thought-out, sometimes to his own detriment. But it’s almost always for the right reason, at least in his eyes. His loyalty to the people he loves is a strong motivator, but so is his need to do the right thing. His moral compass is incredibly strong and not only dictates the decisions he makes (which can be misguided for sure… GRUNDY) but also the friends he keeps and people he associates with. He is very passionate about everything he does, especially music/poetry and football, which can fully encompass his entire being when he’s locked into them. There is a big piece of Hufflepuff in him, with his strong determination, loyalty to his friends, and hard-working mindset, mainly thanks to his father Fred. But I do think his recklessly brave, honest, and trusting personality just leans more heavily towards Gryffindor.

- ᴠᴇʀᴏɴɪᴄᴀ: ꜱʟʏᴛʜᴇʀɪɴ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ʀᴀᴠᴇɴᴄʟᴀᴡ)

Veronica is VERY ambitious and cunning, confident and self-reliant in almost everything she does. When she cares for people she cares for them HARD! But not everyone is deserving of that loyalty from her. Her resourcefulness and cleverness, which go hand in hand, is unmatched, even without her parents money. She’s always scheming and thinking on her feet (thus the Ravenclaw aspects: wise, analytical, and idealistic) especially when dealing with her father, which happens soooo much. BUT, her schemes are almost always motivated by a desire to do the right thing by those she loves. She’s ruthless (tho not in the same hard, flippant way Cheryl can be) because she is DRIVEN to always succeed at everything she sets her mind to, it’s how she was raised for better or for worse. Her tendency for success is greatly aided by her resilience, charm, and clever nature. She’s a Slytherin for sure, but more open-minded, accepting, and meticulous than stereotypes about Slytherin’s might say.

- ʙᴇᴛᴛʏ: ʜᴜꜰꜰʟᴇᴘᴜꜰꜰ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴠᴇʀʏ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ꜱʟʏᴛʜᴇʀɪɴ)

Betty was kinda tough for me. She feels so different throughout every season. When it comes down to it though, I think her most defining attributes are how hard working she is, how fiercely she loves (even to a dangerous degree), and determined she is. She has a hunger for justice and finding the truth, TENACIOUS. She’s passionate about everything she sets her mind on doing and will see things through to the end. She’s smart like a Ravenclaw & sometimes reckless like a Gryffindor, but those don’t feel like defining characteristics for me. She could, however also be strongly considered for Slytherin as that hunger for justice can be seen as driven and determined, sometimes leading her to make ruthless decisions that hurt other people for her own gain or for the gain of her mission. Depending on the season, she does have a tendency to be very judgemental and deceptively manipulative or cruel. In the end tho, I think she is really just a workaholic, someone who just wants to do the right thing and see that people get what the deserve, an eye-for-an-eye sort of thing. She will do anything for the people she loves, ANYTHING. Fairness. Justice. Determination.

- ᴊᴜɢʜᴇᴀᴅ: ʀᴀᴠᴇɴᴄʟᴀᴡ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ꜱʟʏᴛʜᴇʀɪɴ)

Jughead is ECCENTRIC. He’s weird, he’s a weirdo. He doesn’t fit in, and he doesn’t want to fit in. He’s very much an introspective wall-flower, who is not only quite intelligent, but also wildly creative. He’s a writer, tortured soul, he’s cynical. An inquisitive mind if there ever was one! This can sometimes lead him down a dangerous and condescending path where he holds himself and others to too high of standards, and gets upset when they fall short. He can be vain and maybe a little pretentious sometimes because he’s passionate about what he does. He seeks justice through truth and observation, often for the greater good. Like a Slytherin tho, he uses his intelligence to achieve his goals and is VERY determined, to the point where he can sometimes lose himself in the mystery and let relationships fall to the wayside. He’s incredibly ambitious and self-reliant, but that is by far overshadowed by his curious and creative nature that often makes him the driving force for the shows’ entire narrative.

- ᴄʜᴇʀʏʟ: ꜱʟʏᴛʜᴇʀɪɴ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ɢʀʏꜰꜰɪɴᴅᴏʀ)

This one feels like kind of a no-brainer, because it’s what everyone says, but I actually think she’s more complicated than JUST being a Slytherin. Cheryl is confident! She’s ambitious and resilient, calculating, and can be very manipulative. Like Veronica, she’s a schemer. But her loyalty is INCREDIBLY selective. She trusts very few people in her life, but those she does, she gives her ALL to (see Toni & Jason) and she desperately wants to take care of them and be loved by them. She follows her own path, constantly trying to break out of her families’ dark, dark shadow. She is big on self-preservation and that can lead her to make selfish decisions that hurt others. BUT, I also think she has a major creative bone in her body that shines in the later seasons (she’s literally an artist). And I think a very strong case can be made for Gryffindor. She’s rebellious (especially against her family!), is stubborn as hell, proud to a fault, and can be quite boastful and arrogant. She IS red, it’s her aesthetic! In S6 & S7, she’s more reserved and kinder too, willing to give her life for the town. But in the end, her ambition, confidence, and ruthlessness to achieve her goals make her a Slytherin imo.

- ᴛᴏɴɪ: ʜᴜꜰꜰʟᴇᴘᴜꜰꜰ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ɢʀʏꜰꜰɪɴᴅᴏʀ)

This girl is LOYAL. Damn, is she loyal and patient and dependable. Toni is basically the textbook definition of a Hufflepuff. She has a crazy strong work ethic that stems from a prideful and practical personality. She may be one of the most responsible people on the show (forgetting about S6 and how they made her a bad mom). She’s giving and compassionate. She’s HONEST, not just to others, but with herself. She knows who she is and she’s doesn’t let anyone tell her otherwise. Her loyalty and kindness can sometimes get her into trouble tho, because she often lets people dictate or make decisions FOR her because she thinks it’s what they need (Cheryl & Anthony!). But I also think the Gryffindor in her is VERY overwhelming too. She’s rebellious, has a strong moral compass, is incredibly chivalrous, and very passionate about her hobbies and the people she loves. As a serpent, she is PROUD, overwhelmingly so. She takes pride in who she is and what she and the serpents stand for. I just believe her undying loyalty, patience, and dependability are what really makes her who she is.

- ʀᴇɢɢɪᴇ: ɢʀʏꜰꜰɪɴᴅᴏʀ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ꜱʟʏᴛʜᴇʀɪɴ)

Reggie is extremely proud, reckless and is not one to think before he acts. Emphasis on RECKLESS. He’s loud and boisterous, every bit the stereotypical jock, especially in the beginning. Like Cheryl, he’s part of a family legacy and grew up conceited, with all the wealth and power at his disposal. It made him cocky and made him THINK he could do whatever he wants (arrogance). He’s playful and likes to crack jokes and keep things light, sometimes not even on purpose. Like typical Slytherin’s, he’s confident and charming, finding ways to achieve his goals at any cost. However, unlike a Slytherin, I don’t think he is often shown to be very cunning or self-reliant. He’s not particularly clever or calculating, and is usually more of a follower than a leader. BUT, I think he’s very protective of those he loves, chivalrous, one might say. He’s stubborn and refuses to back down from the choices he and his friends make, even if it puts him in physical harm.

- ᴋᴇᴠɪɴ: ʜᴜꜰꜰʟᴇᴘᴜꜰꜰ (ᴡɪᴛʜ ꜱᴛʀᴏɴɢ ʜɪɴᴛꜱ ᴏꜰ ʀᴀᴠᴇɴᴄʟᴀᴡ)

Another tough one for me. I think his open-mindedness and kindness are what defines who he is and how he interacts with the people around him. His tolerance is motivated by his own life, by the way he’s grown up knowing he was gay and wanting to ensure nobody felt uncomfortable in who they are. Similar to Toni, he KNOWS who he is and is not ashamed to be that person. He’s often the moral support for his friends and just loves being around the people he cares about. He is proud, but not in a cocky way, like a Gryffindor would’ve. He has a full-fledged confidence in himself and the choices he makes, which can lend itself to being a Ravenclaw, as does his blindly accepting and loquacious nature. But his loyalty and unprejudiced outlook on life make him a definite Hufflepuff to me!

Food is one of Zoey’s love languages. She doesn’t cook as much as she used to being in Merrock, as she did back in California, but with the her kitchen being pretty nice, she has been excited to get back into it. Handwritten recipe cards fill a few binders that she’s put together, and nothing makes Zoey feel more at home than her family’s handwriting. As much as she’s been trying to get back into cooking, she’s not the best at it. There’s a reason Bryan’s the chef in the family.

Despite not being a good cook, being in the kitchen and baking has been sort of a therapy for her. She loves trying new recipes and baking at random hours, especially at night. She likes to pretend she’s on Nailed It! or any other baking show.

From a young age Zoey's hobby has been art. From drawing on the walls in crayon to making sculptures with mud from the backyard, she was always looking for ways to fuel her creativity. Always is drinking coffee, whether it’s a fresh brew or an iced coffee, she’s always got a tumbler around. She has to have at least one cup or she can’t function for the day ahead. Her go to order is an iced vanilla caramel latte with oat milk.

She is a vegan. She went meatless when she was thirteen after a bad experience at a farm during a field trip. And she stopped eating dairy when she developed an intolerance to lactose.

She’s at her happiest when she gets to be in the garden and grow things. She has lectured all of her siblings at least once about not recycling properly.

She’s kind of fake deep. She’s very much a “this is a sign” person and will ask you about your star sign. She is obsessed with horoscopes and will literally not sleep with a person because “the stars are not aligned”.

Can play acoustic guitar really well, a little bit of piano but would like to learn the drums at some point. She has tried before and lacks the coordination needed to play, so it’s always a sight to see when she attempts to play.

She believes she’s the master of birthdays. She’s always planning them in advance to make sure they’re absolutely perfect and enjoyable for everyone in attendance.

She’s not the mom friend, but she’s definitely a mom friend. She makes sure she’s always got snacks in her bag and in her apartment, probably carries those mini bottles of water in her bag.

She tries to go to the gym every other week and just kind of stands there watching people, sometimes she hits a punching bag around or hops onto a treadmill, but it's mostly just the staring people thing. She finds it relaxing, for some reason. Everyone else probably finds it weird, though.

Only sports she really follows is college basketball and she loves the Big Ten conference (unless it’s Purdue or Ohio State). Doesn’t mind baseball if it’s the Red Sox or the Cubs.

She loves people, but she is not always the best with them. She sometimes lacks the ability to pick up on social cues, and she is often way too blunt and crass for 'civilized society'. She curses like a sailor, and is prone to giving out way too much information about pretty much every aspect of her life.

She does not have any immediate plans to leave Merrock. Especially now that two of her siblings have returned, and Zoey is happy to stay near her family.

Zoey is drawn to people. Her expertise is talking to people. It’s what her job really entails, anyway. She is one of those people who knows how to make the right first impression. One of her biggest strengths is her loyalty and if she calls you a friend, you'll have her in your corner for a long time to come. actually the friendliest of friendly people. She’s only been in town for three years, but she isn't entirely new. She has spent summers here and there since her adoptive grandmother did live in town. So there will be old friends as well as new, but they will be plentiful. I’d like her to have some neighbors, because they’re the people she sees on an almost daily basis, and probably has a close relationship with. It’s not a hard job to befriend Zoey. She’s outgoing and friendly, and as long as you’re a decent human being, she’ll respect you. Things you can be prepared for as Zoey’s friend; showing up out of the blue with a gallon of homemade orange juice, being slightly mothered, life advice, and a smack upside the head if you say something especially stupid. Sure, she’s a little bit impulsive, but you can count on this girl to tell you what’s right.

It’s usually really hard to make Zoey mad but if you manage it, she can hold a grudge for the rest of her life, sometimes even if it wasn’t necessarily your fault. She has a hard time admitting when she’s wrong. She hates confrontation. She hates violence. So she will very rarely, if ever, physically fight someone. However, she's very sarcastic and sly so she will run her mouth until hell freezes over, but if she goes too far and someone wants to kick her ass, then she runs to get one of her brothers.

She has passion in spades. Zoey loves intensely, recklessly and wholeheartedly - which is why it has only happened a few times in her life. As of right now, romance is almost entirely out of the question for the brunette, as she hates the idea of growing to love someone in a romantic sense and then losing them. After having her heart broken twice, the idea of relationships causes her to cringe, and she will almost immediately reject any form of flattery or flirtation that is not simply a shallow gesture. She likes one night stands, short term relationships, and has a problem with sleeping with her friends? So long as both parties are aware that it's just sex, she views it as an extension of friendship. She's adventurous, in every sense of the word. Since she used to visit when she was younger, it might be fun for her to have had a summer fling? I’m not fussed about the gender, considering that Zoey's accepted that she was bisexual as soon as she learned the meaning of the word.

WANTED CONNECTIONS

HELP! I NEED SOMEBODY! - Zoey was upset when she discovered that her cat had gotten out of her apartment somehow. She searched locally without any success so she posted up flyers. A few days later, she got a call from this character and met up with them to pick up her cat. Not only did Zoey get her cat back but she picked up a new friend in the process.

PARTNER IN CRIME -  The Ann to her Leslie. These two are physically and emotionally inseparable. Basically her best friend in Merrock (outside of her siblings). They know everything about her past and don’t mince their words around her.

ONLINE PEN PALS - These two are best friends but don’t know who the other is.  It all started with a random text to the wrong number, and somehow  blossomed into a really strong friendship. They know a lot about each other, but they agreed from the beginning not to use real names or send pictures of themselves for mystery sake. They know that they live in the same town but that just makes it more fun, the fact that they could see each other everyday and not know.

NEIGHBORS TURNED FRIENDS - Zoey and this character are neighbors, they didn’t know much about each other before Zoey needed their help. But one night Zoey knocked at their door at an ungodly hour wondering if this character could kill a giant spider in her apartment for her. 

UH OH - Zoey and this character hooked up when she first arrived in Merrock three years ago, and it was pretty awkward afterwards for whatever reason. - NARI

THIS IS WHY WE CAN‘T HAVE NICE THINGS - Zoey and this character used to be so close that people knew that  when they invited one, they invited both. That was until the two got into a fight over something (we can plot that out!). Now, when they get into the same room, it’s almost  instantaneous back and forth. They are both set on taking the other down  gloriously and for good.  

TO THE MOON AND BACK - With her adopted grandmother living in Merrock, the Lawrence kids spent countless summers in town. Perhaps Zoey had a childhood best friend in town. Maybe they’re still friends or maybe they’re not.

BIG ENEMIES - Not that Zoey has too many enemies in town, there’s just that one person that they can’t stand no matter what. Maybe it was based off of a bad first impression or maybe their personalities clash.

BUDDY SYSTEM - With so many events and parties there are in the world and many of them offering alcohol, Zoey would want to have a buddy who stays sober during those events as well. Someone she can confide in and hang out with when everyone else is getting buzzed.- JOSH

SHE’S ALL I WANNA BE - Whether it was someone from her teen days or someone from town now, I would love to have Zoey be jealous of a character for whatever reason. 

BREAKFAST FOR DINNER - This is a self indulgent wanted connection because I would love to have a Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson type of friendship. They’re unlikely friends but get along and are there for each other. They always make it a tradition to go get breakfast for dinner at least one a month.

BOARD GAME BUDDIES - Someone she can play Scrabble or Catan with! She really loves playing games at house parties or when she’s hanging out with friends, so someone she can play a game or two with.

CANDLE CLIENTS - People who often buys the candles or wax melts that she makes, maybe even make a few requests for custom candles and wax melts.

BUSINESS MENTOR - Zoey has hopes of making her candle shop a physical store someday, a daydream she’s had ever since she started her small business.  However, she has no experience in what it takes to open an actual store with finding a space to rent or figuring out what it would take to make it a reality. independent . call it the result of having to become the man of the house at a young age due to having an abusive father who became divorced from his mother, but jonathan learned how to advocate for himself and the people he loves at a very young age. a peacemaker at heart, he tends to try to deal with things privately, spending so much time in his head that it unfortunately can morph into a force that can weigh down on him and reinforce his depression.

sensitive . if there's one person in st who i think absorbs the energy around them like a sponge, it'd be jonathan. he is hyper-cognizant of the emotions of the people around him, and if they're someone someone he cares about he goes the extra mile, checking on them & asking if they're okay. something else jonathan does is reassure others even when they just appear to be distressed/anxious/etc, even if they aren't talking. he just assumes that they need reassurance - 99% of the time they do - without verbal prompting. he reads people like they're goddamn novels and really learns to understand them and what they need from him.

private . call it a result of him being both aloof and independent, but jonathan is incredibly hesitant when it comes to actually sharing things with others. he regards his inner world and the workings of his mind something to be protected with every fiber of his being, and will only let that cage door open during moments of extreme emotional distress or where it's absolutely warranted to protect someone he cares about. it takes a lot of time, patience, and showing jonathan you're someone he can trust before he lets you into that inner world of his. he only has so much time to internally protect the people he already cares about, but if he's willing to put that energy in for you, you've found yourself a very close, very loyal friend with a bond that cannot be easily broken.

skeptical . it's pretty safe to say that jonathan is not an easy believer in things that can't be proven. he didn't believe his mom when she said that will was in the lights, and wasn't willing to extend the benefit of the doubt to nancy when she became curious about the potential connection to the upside down that billy and mrs. driscoll had. if you want to convince jonathan of something, you need to prove it to him, ideally with sensory information that he can directly and objectively experience and measure. in this sense, jonathan is extremely practical, grounded in real-world affairs and how things actually operate around him, instead of engaging in the comfortable imagination of theoretical matters. his skepticism is also very likely the byproduct of his fears of letting new people and new information into what often feels like an incredibly fragile existence, especially given everything he and his family had been through. as we've established, jonathan is extremely protective of his inner world, and he is not very kind to new information that can be a threat to that inner world, especially if that information hasn't directly been proven to him yet.

Persephone also loves Chocolate, Sci Fi movies, Ruffles, Sorbets and glitter nail polish. She also dislikes people who ask to many questions and who can’t take a hint. Persephone is a very forward thinking person which is why she thinks gender stereotypes are stupid and pathetic. She has a great talent for make up but she never uses the color purple because she thinks it looks sickening. hey guys! I thought i’d make a sun in the houses series, I'm not sure if I will make a sun in the signs series because I'm pretty sure everyone understands that already, however, if you guys want that i’d be happy to make one!

Batfamily sorted into Hogwarts houses?

Ooohhhh a classic, I love it! Tbh I have no clue how controversial my opinions are here, like honestly each member fits several houses well. So I just went with what felt best to me, but I'd love to hear other's opinions!

First let's go over the main traits of each house, these are the traits I will be focusing on.

Gryffindor -> Bravery, daring, nerve, and confidence

Hufflepuff -> Hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play

Ravenclaw -> Intelligence, knowledge, curiosity, creativity, and wit

Slytherin -> Ambition, leadership, determination, cunning, and resourcefulness

Bruce

-> Hufflepuff: I feel like this one will be rather controversial and honestly it was pretty difficult to decide on. But I think his overall dedication to the mission is what sold it for me. Like that's one of his more consistent character traits, he values the mission above all else. And I don't think of that value or dedication as coming from a place of ambition, but rather a place of loyalty. Honestly Batman's relationship with Gotham really exemplifies both patience and dedication, at least it does in my mind. Hufflepuff is also sometimes thought of as the house that accepts all, so people who don't have a good designation can go there, which is pretty on point with Bruce adopting a shit ton of kids.

Dick

-> Gryffindor: This one might be a tad cliche, but I think that it fits. Because all of the batfam is daring and brave, but Dick takes so much joy from these traits. He’s known for defying gravity and having fun doing it. He’s also the typical confident older brother, like he definitely has insecurities but overall he’s a pretty confident guy. He’s a leader who paved the way for Robins and continues to protect the rights of young heroes. He’s known for being super protective of his family and is willing to make sacrifices for them. Also he brave enough to design a custom that had no pants and confident enough to run around in that costume.

Babs

-> Ravenclaw: Babs the oracle, she’s basically the definition of knowledge. She definitely exemplifies other houses as well but her dedication to knowledge and intelligence definitely put her in Ravenclaw for me. After being paralyzed a lot of people thought she would give up being a vigilante, but instead she turned information into a weapon and a shield. Instead of giving up she created a new and now invaluable position. She isn’t just smart, she’s clever and quick thinking, always ready for any situation.

Jason

-> Hufflepuff: Okay, so in a lot of ways Jason mirrors Bruce. He’s incredibly loyal to his home, has strict rules that he (mostly) stands by like don’t hurt kids and no abusers get no mercy (and yes I’m using the terms rules loosely here). But honestly what sold the whole ‘Jason is hufflepuff’ thing for me is how protective/kind his is of crime victims, specifically women and children. He was a crime lord who fought to for kids, who didn't tolerate abuse, and who protected prostitutes. And yeah that's all super brave and very Gryffindor-esque, but in my mind it all comes from a place of genuine kindness, and that's what makes him a Hufflepuff to me.

Cass

-> Hufflepuff: Cass is deadly, she could snap just about anyone like a twig, but she's also a complete cinnamon roll. She's a sweetheart who adores her family and, for the most part, likes people. Cass is kind and sweet and she literally booped Batman on the nose. Like if that isn't the most Hufflepuff thing, than I don't know what is. She's just the epitome of 'soft cute Hufflepuff,' but also never forget that she can easily kill you.

Tim

-> Ravenclaw: In my opinion (and I think also canonically but I'm not 100% on that) Tim is the smartest bat. Tim literally outsmarted Ra's Al Ghul and he figured out Batman's identity when he was just a child. And he's not just 'I know a lot of things' smart, he's cunning and knows how to plan for any outcome, how to out wit others, how to lie to Batman. Like in the Red Robin arc his Tim's side quest is outsmarting the league of assassins and pissing off Ras Al Ghul. That's such a Ravenclaw (and baller) move.

Steph

-> Gryffindor: Steph had the nerve to put on a purple suit, she was daring enough to hit Robin with a brick, and she was brave enough to become Batgirl even after her encounter with Black Mask. She's bold and shameless in all the best ways. Like Steph isn't the greatest fighter or most skilled bat, but she's bold and fearless and that's what makes her such a great hero.

Duke

-> Slytherin: This one took me forever to decide on, but I realized that Duke has all the smarts of a Ravenclaw and all the bravery of a Gryffindor. Traits that both fit perfectly into Slytherin. He's cunning and smart and an amazing leader and so determined. Duke lead the 'We Are Robin' movement and made his life goal to out riddle the Riddler. Honestly he's the perfect mix of smart and brave and really exemplefies the best of the Slytherin traits.

Damian

-> Slytherin: This one is a bit lack luster and a bit typical, but I do think it's fitting. He's cunning and ambitious and really values his heritage. Damian knows his life goals, he knows where his heritage can take him, and he will do anything to reach his full potential. And I do think that he has some Hufflepuff undertones, undertones that come out even more around animals and Jon, but overall he is a Slytherin.

And wowie, I'm done. This took waaayyyyyy longer than expected, so sorry for that. Honestly when I saw this ask I was like 'oh, cool, easy!' then I tried to answer and holy shit. ENTP 3s always make me first think of corvids! the ENTP is clever and innovative, driven by external intuition to absorb the world around them and construct their own internal framework. they excel at finding patterns and connections — often seemingly with leaps of logic, seizing new ideas while the ability to put their inspiration into practicality comes limping behind. the enneagram 3 is such a natural pair to the ENTP and honestly i've yet to meet one who doesn't at least have it in their tritype. of course these inventive individuals are also motivated by a desire to succeed and be recognized for their ideas. however i think the crux of your form finding lies in relating more to the 3w4 (my fear of failure is internally nurtured, i cling to my creativity and individuality and know i deserve recognition for them) than the 3w2 (my fear of failure is externally nurtured, i cling to my image and importance in my social group and i know i deserve recognition for them).

corvids strike a really great chord for these traits. jays are, in my opinion, the ENTP 3, typically with a splash of 7 or 8 that drives this individual to be adventure-seeking and courageous. if you're someone who's more bold, consider looking at the blue jay or magpie-jay to start; they're both vocal, clever, and proud. if you're more private, focused, introverted, etc, the eurasian jay might be up you're alley. this individual is going to be more socially flexible and adaptable, clever and capable of being manipulative, willing to be both playful and assertive, and quite inventive and problem-solving. the steller's jay is another good option if you're wanting a more loyal flavor of the eurasian jay.

outside of jays, check out the rook or thick-billed raven as alternative corvid options. the rook is sociable and devoted, diligent and focused, proud and opinionated; the thick-billed raven is more reserved but loosely loyal, inventive and curious, proud and opinionated.

ducks can also be strikingly ENTP 3, particularly the well-known mallard which tends to be proud and image-oriented, similar to corvids but absolutely more spontaneous and driven by an undercurrent of seeking stability through status. this leads them to be rather obsessive and driven, quintessential "looking calm on the surface but legs paddling like crazy underneath" sorts of people. they're proud and enduring, but often prefer to focus on breadth rather than depth, adapting between situations and finding new priorities.

if you're looking for something a little less conventional but still avian, check out frigatebirds. they don't have the clever, problem-solving reputation of corvids, but they're highly persevering and unique birds. they're certainly inventive and opportunists, using circumstance to nab prey or robbing other birds of it. they tend to be very dedicated to their sense of self and their way of doing things -- they're productive, proud, and dedicated, focused on their goals and competitive when something gets in their way.

outside of birds, check out some confident frog species like the bullfrog or horned frog. they tend to be socially tolerant but exceptionally determined, competitive, and ambitious, though the nature of a species like a frog vs an aggregating one like a bird would imply someone who's more reserved and self-focused rather than interested in social dynamics.

Ever see those girls who won't shut up on social media that they are Slytherin (usually self-identifying, not actually having been officially sorted into the house)? It seems like over 60% of their posts are dark, angsty, sometimes morbid displays of house pride. This is a major red flag.

Now, I will be the first one to defend that Slytherin does get a really bad rap from the movies, though I am not in Slytherin, myself. Descriptions of house values and characteristics are actually rather positive:
