@queryxecho asked: you weren't using your lap for anything anyway, right? too bad. It's occupied by a pouty blonde now. "Eddie, we're bored. Are you done planning yet?" (umprompted)
Edward stews and plans in his seat. The workshop is silent save for the whirring hum of the computer towers and the dripping of a far-off pipe, his finger tapping periodically against the armrest of his chair. A riddle, a puzzle, a death trap or three—
Diedere drops unceremoniously into his lap and Edward straightens up. He makes a sound, windy.
"It isn't just Harvey who comes in twos," he says, fingers forming an irreverent V. Nygma points out to the only other person here, Nina perched over the couch, and half-smiles. "You don't need me to play with each other."
Diedere pouts. He knows the act—innocent but devilish. Sweet and not. The kind of look that makes other people stupid—and hums a laugh, perching jaw to knuckle. "Besides," Edward shimmers, chin tilting down. He turns mischievous. "Doesn't trouble... come in threes?"
And that's what the girls want, don't they?

I made a few new wax seal stamps out of clay (like the ones I did for my worldbuilding stuff forever ago), this time just of random symbols that I thought might look good done in the style of painting over the raised part of the wax or etc. :0c Some of them aren't carved deep enough to really show up that well, but overall they worked okay for being clay lol
#wax seal#crafts#wax stamp#stationery#Window one is kind of stinky.. I was imagining like a swirly night sky sort of looking thing so it would be a surreal contrast of a night#sky with a window in the middle that shows a daytime sky - but the silver and purple wax kind of mixed too much together#with the black and it just looks very plain black and not all that starry or anything hjbhj.. Of course the eye is probably my favorite#since all I ever do is draw eyes and still like eye imagery for some reason. The four leaf clover is very lumpy and skrunkty but also it wa#the smallest in size out of all of them so was easier to do multiple stamps of just to try it out.#The heart with eyes wax is actually more swirly in person. I wanted it to be a mix of light pink and red and white. and the wax#did kind of all blend together but in person you can definitely see MORE of the intentional swirlyness. in this it just looks plain pink.#I was going to do one eye in the heart but it looked weird. but now two seems too plain. i could have done 3?? in a pattern.. hmm#alas. I wish I could make actual metal ones. With the clay i have to paint them in a thin layer of olive oil before stamping because#otherwise the wax just kind of gets stuck in the grooves of the clay and then you can't pull it up. Very wacky ''unprofessional'' looking#set up where I'm hot gluing circles of sculpey clay to short stumps of a wooden dowel that I sawed apart with a serrated bread knife#and then using an old paintbrush to put olive oil on them whilst holding a spoon over a yankee candle flame hjbjh#ANYWAY.. I think if I were middle class/rich/etc. this would be one of the main things in my crafting room is like.. SO many colors#of wax. and all different custom made stamps designed by me. which could be much more elaborate in actual metal.. muahaha.... >:)c#RHGghhh... I actually don't want to talk much about it since (this is probably just my Obsessed With My Own World Artist Delusions) I#think I have a really cool idea for a game that could genuinely be successful if i ever get to make it and I don't want to give#everything away and spoil the whole plot/concept in hopes that one day I can actually do it - BUT - a game that I'd like to make after the#visual novel I'm making now has partially to do with the main character working as a sort of writer/scribe/artist assistant in an elven#city (set in my world/with my worldbuilding species and versions of elves and etc) and I was thinking of maybe incorporating#somehow being able to collect little writing type items like these like.. you can get different wax seal patterns or pens or etc. when I do#stuff like this in Real Life it always makes me think of that like.. ouh... this is good research.. what it shall be like to be a littol#elf collecting wax seals and such.. indeed... GRR i need to be finished with my current game NOWWW... i MUST work on other#thingss... aughh... ANYWAY.. yay. accomplishment to do One Single Thing other than Sit In The Summer Heat And Rot#though also hilarious as this was the first cool-ish day that was below 80F in a while hgvh#waking up like 'wow.. i actually feel okay today?? like I could do things?? how mysterious.. I wonder why..?? :0'' Its The Weather You Fool#Tis Always The Weather

Bungou Stray Dogs: Dead Apple and how “ability users” (opposite to “normal people”) learning to accept themselves through the acceptance of their own abilities is a queer metaphor of acceptance of own's sexual orientation and gender: an essay by me
#bsd#bungou stray dogs#About: Dead Apple. Watched this a while ago with a friend and it was a lot of fun!!!#If you're reading this: thank you so much for hanging out with me I had such a good time (ㅅ´ ˘ )♡#Next to general considerations: wow they were right that Bungou Stray Dogs movie sure can Bungou Stray Dogs#It's always nice to see the detailed animation and elaborate backgrounds of movies. The animation quality compared to the manga is–#definitely noticeable and it's nice to see. That said... I still like the season 2 art style more? And I'm speaking strictly of art style.#The s2 one looks more soft and smooth while the da one is so much more rough.#The plot is... Very bsd-esque I don't think there's anything to add.#In my opinion Kyouka's arc is the one that turned out best tbh. I really like her narrative development and personal growth in this movie.#I like the complexity of her state of mind. how full of contradiction she is. I especially appreciate the recurring small changes of–#expression that indicate how she thinks differently from Atsushi even if she doesn't voice them. The fight between her cynicism and her–#kind nature. It's all very interesting.#Atsushi's development is interesting too. Although all the open questions about his ability we still have kind of leave me frustrated#I don't feel very strongly about Akutagawa in this movie? I mean‚ he's there. The ss/kk scenes are always great and in character and a joy–#to witness no matter what they do. He just doesn't shine particularly? Or at least personally I dont find the “proving my strength against–#myself” narrative arc to be particularly interesting. Imo it was a lot better flashed out in the da stage play! With the complexity that–#the dialogues with Chuuya added to the character. Dazai attacking him. And especially Aktgw understanding that Rashomon wasn't testing Aktg#but rather only expressing that unstoppable rage that is also Aktgw's own. About that I checked out the play and I really liked it!!#I only watched highlights (aka: ss/kk and chuu/aku scenes) but there's some stuff I really like. I like the conflict between Aktgw and–#Chuuya and how Chuuya messes up with Aktgw at first maliciously and then amiably. It's interesting how Atsushi himself observes that Kyouka#and Akutagawa get along. And especially the sskk almost-handholding and Atsushi saying Akutagawa has a nice profile were cute akjdhbsawhjb#Next. Da really is shipping paradise (╥﹏╥) Sorry but... It is. oda/zai. daz/atsu. ss/kk. s/kk. fuku/mori. chuu/aku. It really has everythin#and the moments are so good!!!! What else. Wish we'd see more of Tsujimura. And Christie. And women in general tbh.#Also‚‚‚‚‚ Atsushi's tiger form in this movie is ATROCIOUS. I've said it before but it's crazy how a franchises that relies so heavily on–#fanservice came up with something this hideous. Man the movie overall was pretty but Atsushi sure wasn't. Firmly stand by the belief–#that only Akutagawa would find that form attractive.#Oh last note. honestly if we're ready to accept a movie where an antidote has effect AFTER the person has effectively died then we really–#can't complain about any kind of insanity the manga brings up#random rambles

thinking about that theory that peekaboo is a sliver of the wight in the locker, and how maybe that means it maintains a sort of connection to the other part and would be able to see part of what it sees and FUCK. FUCK. I JUST REALIZED IT ONLY KNEW HOW TO SAY PEEKABOO WHEN THEY FIRST MET. OVER AND OVER. HIDING ITS FACE WITH LITTLE HANDS. ALMOST LIKE
IT WAS PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK
#I HAD THINGS I WANTED TO SAY. THE CLOWN FLOATING ABOVE THE HALL WHEN WE FIRST MET IT AND THE CLOWN PICTURE IN DAVYS HOUSE#THE VARIOUS SPIDERS AND TERMS LIKE MULTIPLE LEGS AND SPIDERS WEB BEING USED FOR THE WITCH#THE CURTAIN DECORATIONS AND THE WAY THE PTA IS SET UP. THAT BIG RED DEMONY SPIRIT AT THE MEETING AND THE DEVIL PLUSH#BUT NONE OF THAT MATTERS BC WHATEVERS IN THE LOCKER HAS BEEN WATCHING DAVY PLAY W CRYPTIDE FOR YEARS. ALWAYS WANTING TO BE INCLUDED#PARANATURAL#the entire time ive been like. hmmm. interesting. yeah ill subscribe to that theory sure. but WOW that hit me like a ton of bricks holy shi#right. one of the things id wanted to say but forgot was theres a good chance the horror theme it has going on is bc of davy and his life#not bc peekaboo is unwilling to grow past the childish phase. bc it would see that stuff all the time and think well if this is what he#likes then thats what ill keep to make ppl like me. clinging to whatever might make ppl like it and holding onto it tight.#'if i can be what i want... ill be anything you want!'

I’ve been getting really into magical stuff recently and also DC so I’m just gonna drop this here:
Fae Dick Grayson
F A E
okay so fae stories are special to me because I grew up on hearing pagan folklore and fairytales about fae and fae adjacent creatures as good night stories so hooo boy yes I adore that trope! (I mean, I made Dick a Banshee in my fic Shuck so… hehe)
Anyway, Fae Dick Grayson! There’s just so many things you can do with it ✨
Robin appears from one day to the next, following in Batman’s shadow like a mischievous sprite, so honestly rumors have been going wild about him since day one. Robin actually being something non-human doesn’t really come as a surprise!
The fae folk are known for being awfully good at blending in with regular humans when they put their mind to it, the only thing that puts them apart (in most stories) is their otherworldly beauty, and Dick Grayson? Well, he’s definitely got that in abundance.
Just sometimes, when the light reflects off a surface in just the right way, when someone pours a glass of water and you happen to look right through the spray, or when you think you catch a glimpse of something out of the corner of your eye and you spin around— but there’s only Dick Grayson, even if a second ago you could have sworn you saw eyes where there weren’t supposed to be any; colors that aren’t supposed to exist; feathers where only skin has any right to be.
And, gods, all the talking. Dick is terrifyingly good at talking to people without actually saying anything, to the point where you walk away from the conversation feeling utterly drained after spilling your entire life story but when you think back on it— you can’t remember him ever telling you anything about himself. You know there were the usual pleasantries of “hi” and “nice to meet you” and “how are you doing?” but anything beyond that just kinda… seemed to spill out of you? It’s very strange. It’s very unnerving. By the end of the evening you other convince yourself you’re overreacting or you simply push the incident out of your mind altogether.
And there’s another thing about Dick. His name.
He only ever introduces himself as Dick Grayson/Robin. Never Richard. Never. Especially not Richard John. Names are sacred for the fae folk, names have power, so while Richard John Grayson may not be Dick’s true name, he treats it as such to honor his parents. None are allowed to use it. None except Bruce or Alfred on special occasion.
Of course, Dick’s “true” name isn’t exactly a secret so when someone does happen to use it… well, Dick may be… other… but he’s still intrinsically good in a way many of his kind don’t have the patience to be. Dick judges on a case by case basis, just like his parents and Bruce taught him. And usually people do not mean it maliciously when they use his name so he kindly corrects them and that’s that. But oh man, if they still insist on calling him “Richard”? Well..
“Oh no, it seems your credit card is being declined, sir!”
“Sheesh, you tripped over a root? In Gotham?!”
“What do you mean ten birds flew into your window last night? You live on floor level!”
“Dude I’m telling you that rash doesn’t look normal.”
“I… don’t think crows are supposed to follow you like that.”
It’s little things (most of the time, unless you really pissed Dick off) but they keep piling up, slowly driving you insane. You feel like you’re being watched, but it’s just a bird sitting on the window sill again. You feel like someone moved all your furniture just slightly to the right even tho you checked all the cameras.
The fae are kind, but they are also vindictive when crossed.
(Thanks to Bruce, however, I think Dick’s bouts of “vengeance” rarely go much farther than that though.)
Dang ok that ended up being an entire rant… wow. Anyway, yeah. Fae.
#look growing up in the middle of the woods just does something to you#my entire family told us tales about the creatures in the woods#looking back on it now a lot of them were fairly creepy#but my cousin and I always went looking for the one who ‘swayed the trees’#there’s not a good translation for it but it sounds pretty cool in my language#and also slightly gruesome#double meaning and all that#then again our idea of fun was traipsing into the moors and finding ways through it without getting stuck so idk#wow ok that reads like a bit of a horror story but I swear it was great#anyway#ghost talks#fae dick Grayson#dick grayson#nightwing#Robin

Realized that a lot of people didn't watch Metzen's panel and everyone's really missing out on how he's both "I love Warcraft and I'm so happy to be back I love you guys 😊" and "Oh god they ruined it. They ruined everything. They ruined my baby and I have to fucking fix it because I'm the only one who fucking cares about it" during it.
#“we are trying to establish a THUNDERING heartbeat for this franchise” things you only say when your franchise is currently on life support#honestly watch his full panel. its like 15 mins. he really inspires hope for the future while being self aware of the weight on him.#metzens always done really well at hyping shit up and everyone there is thrilled to have him back; as we all are i think#its a really good energy and makes me excited to play wow for the first time in... well since they said metzen came back in dec.#but since like. 9.0#and really 8.3 was more exciting imo.#warcraft

me watching the good omens fandom have fun over their trailer and genuine hype and excitement for their new season that they're Actually Looking Forward To and genuinely saying "I'm so excited! I can't WAIT! it looks so good!" about instead of "aghhhh [insert costume/hair thing or whatever] is so bad" and "shame this is my last season I'm watching :/" and more dread than actual excitement and when there's a bit where a character has a bad/weird haircut everyone laughs and makes lightheaded jokes and art in good fun instead of screaming and crying to the point where almost the entire character's tag is people acting like it's the worst thing to ever grace a screen
#'but hannah you like good omens why are you sad' bc i have no place in the good omens fandom#nowhere near like the one ive had here#and even if im also watching the show its more like. wow theyre a fandom community actually having fun for their show#while the fandom community ive been in here for three years is for the most part *dreading* so much of what's coming up#mine#the witcher#good omens#man. grass is always greener huh

do you have any particular thoughts regarding marcille being a half-elf? its interesting to me considering the fact that she seems self-conscious about being a half-elf, but denies it when its brought up
i remember marcille looking visibly uncomfortable over laios simply asking her how old she is, which i think the only reason she might feel nervous about this is because it might reveal her as a half-elf to him.
she's never corrected anybody whose called her an elf either.
never mind the circumstances of the reveal, in which thistle goes on about how half-elves are inferior and accusing her of wanting to become full blooded elf, she seemed particularly upset like he struck a nerve-
i wish the half-elf thing was built upon more. also, underrated marcille line:
okay so i revisited this sequence just to make sure I could back myself up and it's just... man. there's a lot going on.
the first reaction we get from Marcille is this huge panel that takes up half of the page
she is viscerally affected. flushing to the tips of her ears with the intensity of it. and we see it again, a few pages later
so it might seem like she's embarrassed about it and lying to herself, but... I really think it's just that Thistle is accidentally hitting sore spots. If you really look at what he says to get these reactions
"you'll live out your entire life [...] and die that way too"
"a hundred years from now, nobody will be there"
Hear me out. I think, if he stuck to harping on about her inferiority without bringing up how terrifyingly long-lived she is, she wouldn't have been as bothered. But right now, Thistle is accidentally hitting all the marks on Marcille's deepest fears-- and this is after the Winged Lion promised her that her dreams could come true in an extremely vulnerable moment, so it also hits her slightly guilty conscience as well.
I do truly believe that Marcille isn't bothered about being a half-elf the way that people assume she'd be bothered by it. To her, the biggest problem with being a half-elf is that it's isolating.
On one hand, it's not hard to imagine why she'd distance herself from elves in the west. A lot of them can clock her as a half-elf on sight, unlike other races, and therefore she's always branded with this weird stigma of being Othered -- I would even say that she considers herself lucky for being born outside of elven culture instead of having to grow up in it. I mean, just... look at the way elves talk about her.
Skipping past the uncomfortable implication of what 'not tolerating the existence' of half-elves would actually entail, this is incredibly fucking annoying. You can see why she wouldn't want to be around elves much. You see a lot of Marcille reacting badly here, but honestly, almost all of it can be attributed to her freaking out that her bluff completely failed. She's honestly more paying attention to Izutsumi's footsteps and trying to coordinate an opportunity to escape.
And in the end, you see her built-up frustration at being asked if she wants to be a full-blooded elf like 2-3 times in a row.
Yeah, yeah, "the lady doth protest too much," and all. But we know Marcille. We know that she's a lot more embarrassed and horrendously unconvincing when she's being prodded about something she's actually self-conscious about.
Moving onto the flipside of things, it might seem weird that she "pretends" to be a full elf around other races, but it's not really that strange if you think about it. Again, people are weird about her being infertile or whatever, and a lots of them don't even know much about what sets half-elves apart from everyone else. I mean, look at how uncomfortable Laios is just asking her about it
and look at how exasperated and resigned she looks
And like... she's right. Where would that come up in normal conversation? Why would she go out of her way to tell them? She's functionally a normal elf to other races anyway -- got the ears, the abnormally long "childhood", and the huge mana capacity. Unless it's directly relevant or important for people to know, I don't think it's all that strange or indicative of insecurity that she prefers not to bother with it.
(This combined with her sense of being an "outsider" to elf culture also explains why she thinks elf superiority is embarrassing. She sees the way elves treat short-lived races from the "outsider" perspective nonetheless, and thinks it's obnoxious; especially more so because she usually has to play the elf around short-lived races and deal with the reputation of arrogance that elves have built up.)
The sad thing is, this all means that... she doesn't actually fit in anywhere. She doesn't like going out West much because of how elves treat her. But she's also an outsider in the continents she was born in, treated like this exotic long-lived alien choosing to live among short-lived races for some reason. She is always an outsider, the Other, no matter where she goes. Add in the fact that she'll live longer than literally anyone she knows, and it's honestly kind of heartbreaking.
And I think that's the crux of it. Marcille really doesn't act like she's at all self-conscious about being a half-elf because of any feelings of inferiority or being half-made or whatever. She considers herself a perfectly legitimate being and might even, in some ways, consider herself superior to normal elves because she's not blind with elf supremacy or whatever. (And whatever "elven biases" she displays, all of them are born more out of the fact that she's kind of bad at conceptualizing how other races age and mature compared to herself, not that she actually considers herself better or more mature simply for being an elf.)
I think that whatever self-consciousness Marcille has about being a half-elf is, instead, related to terror and loneliness. The reminder that it ensures she'll never truly belong anywhere for the rest of her very long life. The reminder that, in truth, even she's not actually sure how old she is by other races' standards (hence the discomfort when asked how old she is). She doesn't want to not be a half elf, or be a full elf or full tall-man-- in her ideal world, she's still a half-elf. She just gets to live out her life at the same pace with the people she loves and doesn't have to say goodbye again and again and again until she dies.
and one last very important panel, right after Mithrun tells her that all her desires would be devoured
In her ideal world, she's still a half-elf and reality magically starts marching at her pace. But failing that, the second best thing is that she's still a half-elf-- but one who is able to accept reality and let go of her fear.
(But the rest of the story pans out the way it does because, to Marcille, taking reality apart and reshaping it was less scary than simply and fully reconciling with it.)
#asks#dungeon meshi manga spoilers#marcille donato#manga panel analysis#this is probably riddled with typos sorry#readmore cut bc it got long lmao#i ended up babbling about it bc it's such an important character detail to me#bc like... wow. she's so normal about it. she's literally just chilling.#the only thing that really bothers her is the material reality of it and how people treat her#the stereotypes the stigma etc. etc.#otherwise it just..#literally doesn't factor into her criteria for self-worth at all#the basic truth is that marcille likes herself on a fundamental level#she's not plagued by a deep and festering self-loathing the way a lot of characters in her archetype are#she likes herself and is proud of her successes and accomplishments#its just that shes terrified of failure and can have *episodes* of self-loathing when she fucks up#but who doesn't yknow#i know its a very slight nuance that makes very little difference in how her 'overachiever' problems manifest but its there#the sword of abandonment issues that hangs over her head has nothing to do with her self-worth or self-esteem or meeting her own standards#it has to do with the fear of not living up to *other* people's expectations and not being useful enough to be worth keeping around#she's good enough for herself but she's always so so so scared that she's not good enough for other people#i wont say much about what ryoko kui is saying using this as an allegory for real world racial biases but#dungeon meshi's treatment of marcille's relationship with her being half-elf is so incredibly important to me because it gets it so right.#a trauma about inferiority or being a half-being isn't inherent to the experience of being 'of two worlds' at all#that's something that's unfairly drilled into people by their environment#the *inherent* anguish is the loneliness. the constant longing. the fact that you are always homesick no matter where you are#always just a little bit of an outsider and never fully at home#and dungeon meshi gets that.#edit: cleaned it up a little

I love that Nasuada's major flaw is the same as one of Galbatorix's greatest flaws, and that it gets worse and more ingrained throughout the series. And it's so compelling because it's incredibly in character for her and there's every reason for the circumstances to perpetuate and exacerbate it, but that doesn't make her flaw any less egregious. The scene where Galbatorix compares the two of them is so fascinating because his intention is very manipulative and malicious, yet the statement itself isn't entirely untrue.
Because Nasuada treats people like tools. She considers a person's utility more important than anything else, including their personhood.
And it's such an engrossing flaw because of course Nasuada treats people like tools! She is proud and powerful and stubborn and noble and utterly committed to achieving what she has set out to do, by whatever means necessary. She will use whatever she has at her disposal to reach her goal, and that includes using the people around her. Of course, this doesn't make Nasuada inherently immoral; she cares deeply about justice and protecting her people. But her views on the individuals around her are impersonal and self serving.
And the goal she's trying to achieve is to win the war. Nasuada would never be pushed out of her ways by the circumstances because they work, the way she treats people accomplishes exactly what she intends. By its nature, the bloody act of war rewards using people like tools. It demands that, even; to a certain extent, it's an ugly necessity in war, but the thing is that Nasuada doesn't see it that way. She never struggles with or grieves over the need to consider people's individuality as secondary to their function. It comes naturally to her, and it lasts through the end of the books, when the war is already over.
Because I think the most flagrant example of this is at the very end, when Birgit intercepts Roran as he's leaving, presumably intending to kill him, and Nasuada says, "He has proved himself a fine and valuable warrior on more than one occasion, and I would be most displeased to lose him." It's such a wonderful, pointed line that perfectly sums up this aspect of her character. Because what a disgusting thing to say. Especially for the queen of all Alagaesia, perfectly positioned and empowered to stop this confrontation and declare it unjust if she cared to. But her words make no attempt at all to defend Roran as a person, only his value to her.
The way she uses others I find most evident in her treatment of Roran, Murtagh, and Elva. The way she tells Eragon that she thinks of giving Katrina a dowry as a "purchase" of Roran's goodwill and loyalty. In Uru'baen, only at great length, she makes the conscious choice to ignore Murtagh's past and only judge who he is in the present, but disregards any care for what that might say about him as a person, solely focused on if he could be useful as an ally. And when Eragon offers to revert Elva's curse, the one that condemned an infant to feel every piece of pain and suffering surrounding her, Nasuada is so fixated on Elva's utility and value to Nasuada's goals that she goes so far as to ask Eragon to fake his effort to cure her. She sees people as tools to such an extent that she can't recognize that relieving an innocent baby of unimaginable, cursed agony should come before her own priorities.
#guys i LOVE her#its SUCH a good character flaw im obsessed with it#eragon#inheritance cycle#nasuada#roran#elva#murtagh#pretending nasuada is entirely good natured is so boring i swear#she is passionate and heartfelt#but she is also Fucked Up sometimes#seriously tho those moments i mentioned always hit me like 'wow babe wtf is wrong with you???'#her nuance *chefs kiss*#she has the range#(also tbh. big reason why i think she and murtagh wouldnt work out together. this would cause A Lot of pain. too much.)

I kind of like that both Phoenix and Larry's reaction to their friendship deteriorating and splintering was just to hold on to Edgeworth really, really hard.
#for different reasons obviously but it was still what they both chose to do#meanwhile edgeworth's people skills are so bad that i bet he just thinks that none of their schedules line up for some mysterious reason#phoenix wright#miles edgeworth#larry butz#something about how you can end up hating someone (on phoenix's part. i think larry still loves phoenix dearly but he's aware it's not#returned) but they'll always be a part of you etc etc#this is both serious and funny to me. they both looked at the last childhood friend link they had and said 'eh. good enough.' like ah yes#this technical childhood friend of mine can 100% substitute for the friend i grew up with despite me not seeing him in 15 years#and edgeworth is just like wow. two friends.#anyway we could have genuinely had it all with the three of them. no one fucking understands or cares but I DO.#warning that i'll be larry posting (screenshots) soon#scribbles in the margins

geralt and per procura no, PERPRO MOUNTAIN
#(or 'perpro top') ?#either way this smacked me in the face. PERPRO GÓRA#aaaand i got no idea how to translate that. what's a two-syllable english word that ends -oora and would be funny#it's okay geralt. you not understanding any latin phrases is me reading the hussite trilogy </3#it's the fucking 'i know' which gets me#[doesn't know and is advised on how he doesn't know] 'YEAH I KNOW OK'#it's giving ciri to yennefer blood of elves chapter 7 'and i bet he saw many an analogy too...'#love that geralt finds nenneke after having not seen her since childhood. IMMEDIATELY starts complaining to her#geralt saying this and that to nenneke AUGH the fact that he's always been a whiner <3#that meme of the poor kid upset near the car captioned 'he thought school was only for one day oh he mad 😭😭'#'he thought witchering was only for one day oh he mad'#book: crossroads of ravens#excerpt#c: geralt#the witcher books#this is so funny to me because angouleme knew what per procura meant because she used it in a rude way#'he can kiss my ass per procura'#and angouleme was about 19 and geralt is about 18 here#so it's like in the good place when michael goes '... JASON GOT IT??? *JASON*???? ohhh this is a new low'#it's only endearing because we know he grows up to be also insufferable with the latin just as his creator is <3#the elbow-high diaries#this is the best prequel because it's like awwww he changed so much and wow. he did not change At All#nenneke: 'dont get in trouble' geralt: 'I DiDn'T dO AnYtHiNg'

just vividly imagined all the kids clamoring for a chance to arm wrestle sportacus, and he’s like uhh i don’t know, are you sureee?” and the kids are like “YES!!” so he wrestles them all one by one and goes just easy enough on them so that they ALMOST win except for like, ziggy, who he just lets win, so all the kids are completely blown away and sportacus just watches on proudly as ziggy soaks up his newfound fame. #sportadad
#he always wants to encourage the kids and give them a confidence boost so he wraps it up with a “wow ziggy#it must have been all that celery you ate earlier!” and acts all tired and genuinely astonished at ziggy’s incredible feat#btw slightly to the left of the topic but i hc ziggy to be the youngest with the others being in this order:#ziggy -> trixie -> stingy -> stephanie -> pixal#with ziggy being like 7 and pixal being like 11#so sportacus makes an effort to boost their confidence at Their level and take their maturity and age into account#stephanie for example would know instantly that sportacus was going easy on her. ziggy meanwhile would believe he ACTUALLY beat him#HOPEFULLY THAT MAKES ANY SENSE 👍 he is a good dad you guys#lazytown#sportacus
