- butch x femme!!!!

- sky is a lesbian in my eyes, she was more coming to terms with it during PI. Ella is a girl kisser too. At first she was just supportive but once she came to terms that Dave wasn’t interested in her and started noticing sky… she internally panicked. jkwheksk

- Ella calls sky her Prince Charming as a cute pet name :^) knight in shining armor is another cute one. Sky calls her princess or sleeping beauty and other cute things like that. Lots of fluffy pet names between the two

- Ella’s favorite way to be kissed is every time they get home from a date night she dramatically flops onto the couch in some extra pose and has sky bend down to kiss her. Think of sleeping beauty

- they ride those double seated bikes and sing together. Butterflies and birds follow them everywhere they go

- once sky becomes a successful Olympian she gets rich and her and Ella can now go to Disneyland all the time if they want

- I always have to envision my ships as parents in the future… they’re such cool moms. They adopt a daughter and Ella is a great stay at home mom, they do arts and crafts. Their kid is set for life too because of sky’s career.

- they don’t have pets they just have birds and animals that follow them around everywhere they go. Also did I mention that skys car is a convertible and ella has a pink Lamborghini. Something very very pink.

- ella owns lots of stuffed animals so she has the comfiest bed imaginable. Their sleepovers are super fun

- sky wears the suit on their wedding. Ouhhh their wedding is so cute too. It’s all fairytale themed and when they kiss sky dips her and it’s adorable 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I LOVE THEM.

- every Halloween they go as princess and knight

- Ella likes to dress up sky and normally sky prefers a more masculine look but seeing how happy Ella is to dress her up as Cinderella is completely worth it. Envision them as that imagine of that girl sitting on top of another girl and doing her makeup. That’s them

- Ella has a nice garden that she tends to. Her and sky plant stuff together

- since sky knows the cree language, she teaches Ella some. Every time they see each other they whisper “I love you” in cree

on vishal in prison it was kind of permanently stuck in this ambiguous place of grief for Someone it didnt fully get to know , mixed with its resentment that had been building up for Years and was kind of bursting into the most utter Despise for benito. he was always permanently Uncomfortable with who he was and in his own body and his comfort came from the few interests he held (which were already becoming Less and less present since he was permanently overworked and stressed out before blen's death in the first place) so now he didnt even have that anymore ! It also falls into the desperation of oh my god Why the fuck didnt i do anything which feeds into why didnt i do anything years ago either and the cycle of suffering is unending!! inaction (both in that it didnt Do something (get it?) when it could have to save blen and that it didnt kill them in the first place) was the worst possible choice. it doesnt know if it deserves this or if it was going to happen sooner or later or what all it knows is it's life is ruined and it hates. benito ituarte. to everyone around him he's a Mix of a scared trembling animal and the fact that he is a 20 year old convicted murderer so i dont Think hes having much of an okay time at all just in general. he got out after 2 years due to good conduct (his being driven to insanity with pain was pretty much just eating him alive internally and he was always okay with helping out and also look at that guy). vishal :<

as you know every time i see a very high priced MLP collection go up on goodwillshopping i need to check it out

and today there were a few at high prices!

The first one is easy enough to suss out. It has mimic:

From what I can tell, she's in good condition, too, no visible scratches or stains. I'm guessing the people purchasing this lot are just buying it because mimic is valuable (as far as people can tell mimic is valuable but common, so there are tons of listings for her and she sells for very high prices), but it has some other cool stuff too:

This appears to be a full set of sparkle ponies- all 6 are in there. Star Hopper has a cool UFO and is the priciest of them, and it also looks like she's the mail order version.

There are a lot of ponies with clothes on, which is sweet because I understand that sometimes they got lost, but especially in the case of these two: Lavender Satin n Lace and Lucky the Stallion. Lavender is a wedding themed pony and Lucky is the ringbearer. No sign of her hubby though! sad.

Other fun lots (these next few aren't $$$ lots they're currently at like $20 in bidding):

this one has some so soft ponies, which collectors don't generally like, but i love them and i particularly am a fan of Twilight (top left), plus it has two Bubbles (sitting pose)

this lot has a bunch of random ponies including tossles (left, pink and blue pony) who I love, and one of the Fairy Tails, which is like a spinoff line of MLP. I hope a collector who cares about the Fairy Tails snags that one because it looks to be in really good quality with its original stand. It would look SO cute next to a Mimic.

this one lot has a bunch of random ponies and steamer, one of the Big Brother Ponies, which is awesome <3

This one doesnt have any bids but is an eclectic collection with Bride Pony (very top), Hula Hula (colorful tropical ponies), a couple baby sparkle ponies and some others. They're all in rough shape but it is sweet. In my heart Bride Pony and Hula Hula are a femme/butch couple.

at first I thought this lot had g2 ponies, but no, the skinny ponies are the Sweetheart Sisters pose. Includes Wigwam, the famously problematic Big Brother pony (he has a tepee as his mark)

This lot is just the Petite Ponies, which you may know I love, including some with the nylon hair tails AND some with translucent bodies. I'm always charmed to know someone is going to want these teeny ponies.

This is from a small lot of like 5 ponies and I just thought it was funny how bad her hair is. But then I was looking it up and I'm not sure who this pony is- my best guess is this is Braided Beauty, but the pink in her hair has completely faded out.

This one was recently posted and has few bids at the time I'm looking at it but its got some cute gems: Party Time and Locket are both really pretty twinkle eyed ponies, Bubblefish who has a 3D fishbowl on her side, and a lot of baby sparkle ponies as well as the somewhat creepy "beddy bye eye" ponies who have inset, open-and-close eyes. There's even a Fairy Tail bird in there!

Most of the ponies in the above collection are in ok condition but it looks like someone lit one of the Sweetheart Sisters on FIRE:

And lest you think I only care about the 1980s ponies (which is mostly true), it is kind of fun to look at what else there is, for example:

this batch was mysteriously labeled Equestria girls, but is mostly made up of Fakie My Little Ponies and one on-brand Pinkie Pie. Idr what this line of fakies is called but they're some of the highest quality, cutest (imo) and most common fakies on the market.

I *mostly* dont care for the g4 pony toys but i have a big Twilight Sparkle I found at Goodwill and I'd be happy to have matching Luna and Celestia toys for her. (most of the g4 toys were very small, these are like the bigger versions)

I've been really into some of my own OCs lately, so here's some Willas and a Sam! I've been using them as subjects while experimenting with some more complex marker rendering, and it's really rather fun to have some more proper drawings of these guys.

Willa, I've talked about a few times before - she's a character who originated as a mashup of two of my favourite soldier characters (Generals Ironwood and Armstrong, from RWBY and FMA respectively), and has since grown into very much her own person who I'm very fond of. She's the classic exhausted leader type who exists to be a side character in someone else's story but, as a middle-aged butch aroace woman in a society that doesn't value any of those traits very highly, she's sick fed up of being side-lined and Not Going To Take It Anymore. I love her, she's exhausted and cranky and stuck leading the fight in a war for survival that she's pretty sure can't be won by someone like her, but she's going to burn herself to the ground trying anyway.

The two drawings I did of her were mainly to figure out her face properly, and I ended up with one dramatic pose and one that's supposed to have the vibe of an official portrait. I always have far too much fun drawing wrinkles on faces, and I've recently discovered how fun it is to include details like freckles and red patches on skin with coloured pencil. I also experimented with inking some of the lines in colours other than black, and it's a subtle effect but I rather like it.

The fellow with the ginger hair is Sam, otherwise known as Dr Hargrave, and he's a supporting character in Willa's story as the chief medical officer at the wall fort she commands in the frozen north of their country (which is very loosely science-fantasy!Scotland), and also the closest thing she has to a best friend. If you've followed me for a while, he might look a bit familiar, and that's because Sam actually originated as Sammarion Harnendil, my half-elf life cleric DnD character, who I've drawn a bunch of times before. This version of Sam is slightly different (he's fully human, for one, although he still has big ears), but on a personality level he's exactly the same, which makes him cheerful, friendly, dad-joke-making and deeply devoted to being a doctor and helping people. Translating Sam's DnD stuff over into a different setting was actually what helped me pin down the nature of the magitech in this setting, and that magitech is the reason that Sam looks like he does despite being practically the same age as Willa. He's got some complicated accidental immortality going on, it's fun.

That drawing of him came about because of a screencap that I rather liked of one of the characters he's based on (Dr Harry Cunningham from Silent Witness), and I had a lot of fun drawing the folds and creases in his jumper. Sam's also the reason I've ended up so fond of adding pencil details to faces, ever since I decided he ought to have freckles when I was first designing him. I'm really pleased with how he turned out, especially since that's the first full colour drawing I've done of this version of the guy, and my first time drawing his face from that angle.

OBVIOUSLY, the Tinkaton line is forever become one of my favorites. It's a gremlin fairy that makes hammers and like, my first reaction to seeing Tinkatuff (because my friend, Ali, was on a Pokedex filling spree and often evolved her Pokemon first before mine and showed it off to me, which helped me avoid spoilers) was "OH MY GOD SHE"S SO BUTCH I LOVE HER"

like the softest of butches with a love for pink and hammers, I LOVE HER SO MUCH. ahhhh

Flamigo is like...I love Flamingos so much. They are WEIRD birds. I love birds, but Flamigo is also your amigo who kicks the shit out of things. It's nice to give Hawlucha another fighty bird friend, alongside Blaziken, Hisuian Decidueye, and Quaquaval.

SPEAKING OF QUAQUAVAL, I love this bird line so much. My reaction to Quaxwell was "OH MY GOD, IT LOOKS SO DOOFY I LOVE HER" and the fact that she does ballet poses???? I kept resetting for a female Quaxly so I could name her Ahiru from Princess Tutu (was saving Hololive's duck, Subaru, for a different run). So finding out the Quaxly line turned into Dancer was a NICE surprise!!!

Quaxwell might've been peak puberty stage (some middle stages are so OBVIOUSLY like the biggest puberty stages for some mons), but then info came out on Crocalor, and the little guy actually SCREAMS whenever they use their fire, because it['s close to their vocal cords. And their voice can be destructive, not that beautiful and soothing as it later becomes Skeledirge. (side note, I love the Dia de los Muertos/Mariachi combo going on with the Fuecoco line - my indigenous mexican ass is proud of this mariachi croc with its fire birdy friend)

Quaquaval is like my samba friend, I love them so much. The way it always dances, and just poses. Hypes you up sometimes lmao. :D

I love the Wattrel line, but also Kilowattrel is SO FUCKING HUGE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.

During my Nuzlocke, I caught a nearby Maschiff, ignoring my dupes clause because I didn't want to go through the effort of leveling up the one in the box since she was level 10, so I decided "alright, I need someone for Tulip - named Tuli in Spanish - SO COME HERE CHUNGI"

this was shortly after Larry killed my Kilowattrel (by the by, these birds are SO fragile), and I wasn't expecting to get so DAMN attached, like "I will literally die for Chungi" and he made it with me to the final battle.

Had all the fang moves, and had Guard Dog as an ability. So it was like Chungi just wanted to protecc. (he was also like one of my tankiest mons because I gave him the assault vest)

Also the Smoliv line - like I love them all so much, my little boy, Manzanilla (fun fact - there is a Spanish olive called manzanilla) was the one who didn't get used as often as my Tinkaton, but whenever he came out, he would always end up saving my ass. I got into a position come the POkemon League, where I was like "oh fuck, I don't have any moves for you and I can't be assed to collect materials to craft more TMs...have this Reflect on me"

literally have been saved by my Arboliva so much. I have such a soft spot for this little doll-like olive line. It's really nice. (hilariously enough, I keep running into male Smoliv when I was shiny hunting, despite the 50/50 on gender, this is the opposite for Flittle and Espathra, I run into less male than female, despite it being 50/50)

I love Koraidon a lot too, I love how doofy it is when it runs and swims. But the way it climbs, LIKE I CAN SEE ITS PADS ON ITS FEET.

And then there's the Nacli line, who I kept calling Minecraft, despite giving mine a name (I had to go catch another after I lost my first one, and like, she didn't get used as much as her predecessor, but I still appreciated her presence). I love them. Salty boys that made me go "oh this is perfect for me" since i plan on going back to finish my chemistry degree and HAVE worked as a lab technician. :V

i love these guys so much....Paldea is fun, and I also absolutely LOVE Gholdengo. Fun fact: it turns out I am less than a hundred coins away from getting one, which is funny cuz I was like, around my friends, "how many coins do I have? lol not e fucking nough"

and then I check and was all "bruh."

Idk HOW, but god damn, I am SO CLOSE. Scarnoa is definitely getting a Gholdengo (as well as a Smoliv and Tinkatink).

She's got birds (THERE ARE SO MANY BIRDS HERE), and then she has her non birds. She loves them all. :V

my sister bought me my time at sandrock for hanukah on switch bc she's a sweetheart (as my disabilities have worsened it's become very hard for me to game on pc)

as someone who started playing portia very early on (i want to say late 2017-early 2018, since it was around the time i started seeing my current therapist? pretty early. i'm one of the people who campaigned to have the menu option to turn off weather effects!) it's nice to have all the qol features right off the bat instead of needing to claw through early access. still definitely got them pathea rough edges, esp on switch, but at least the characters look a LOT nicer haha. and the quicksave feature is a lifesaver. and cosmetic outfit options!! instead of needing to unlock a damn sewing machine!!!

it is also so funny how they've clearly tried to make the bachelors more conventionally attractive and appealing. as always farming sims need more butches/diversity in their bachelorettes but at least it's more balanced this time. overall everyone looks a lot less bobbleheaded too which is nice. no idea who i'm gonna marry yet i'm only on like week two. also it starts on the first of SUMMER?? the conventions! the conventions!!

the mines really feel fixed up and much more like...probably what portia's were intended to be. a lot of clear listening to criticism, some of the redrawn icons are especially funny to me, the worms are no longer weird, no more piles of poop lying around in the fields, etc. translation is better even if "telesis" is still said way too much. i did turn off the voice acting again though. i like how they're trying to give sandrock its own identity as a desert region instead of just being reskinned portia, the town feels kind of clunky rn but i think i'll get used to it (and tbf switch graphics are a factor in this, not much to do about that) (the minister keeps t posing her way around town which if she turns out to be evil is gonna be REALLY funny)

my one significant complaint aside from the general bugginess (pathea) is that the chest/organizational system seems lacking compared to portia's, i'm not sure why you can't just sort all items in your pockets into your chests automatically? that was a fantastic feature and it appears to be missing for some reason

but yeah it's been really fun and nostalgic, i loved portia but btwn life and health i really couldn't follow early access sandrock and i'm having fun. as someone who loves farming sims but actually isn't suuuper big on the farming itself (i'm so weird) portia/sandrock is such a fun fit. especially if you like automating production and stuff like that. for me stardew is king but portia is really up there and we'll see if sandrock can dethrone it!

Butch is very meticulously laid out by Resonance. Even his hat is found and returned somewhere nearby. His limp form is posed, showcasing his injuries even further. He is placed on a dais of stone, with runes aglow on the outer, raised edge.

An adjustment is made to the runes, with a claw, along the whole of the glowing line. Resonance hums something low as he works. When he finishes, a satisfied chuff leaves him. His form seems to lose shape at the edges, dissipating into blurred and formless shape. Fog settles on the floor of the room, thick and green and curling.

Silence reigns, until a shaking beam of light breaks through the dim lit room. Boots scrape on stone, and the mist seems to quiver with each step. Artair descends into the chamber, a familiar sickness in his chest, and the edges of himself crawling and cold. The fog twists into shape behind him, and Resonances form, human-sized, leans against him almost affectionately. "There you are, puppet. I thought you'd never show." A hand brushes at his cheek and he knows which one it is. He shudders as it touches his shoulder, the one plated by the metal of his prosthetic. "Did you miss me?"

Artair's elbow found Resonance's neck. "No. Where's Butch."

The blow sets Resonance back a pace or two, and he glowers, before returning to his clinging drape, this time on the other shoulder. "Such a liar Artair. But that's what you do. I know we've had some fun together. How's Elias, these days?" The look he was leveled was poison. "Oh--- touchy."

"Where. Is. Butch." Artair growled, and his teeth bared.

"Hm? Oh, over there." He gestures with a lazy hand. "But I wouldn't worry. He's not going to be here long at this point. Took your time, didn't you, Puppet. I thought you cared or something."

Artair ignores him-- or as much as he can ignore the funhouse snake version of himself as he follows behind him. He rushes in the direction until he feels Butch for himself, and navigates the stalagmites of the chamber. The second he sees Butch, he stops in his tracks, eyes wide.

He rushes forward, only to stop short of Butch, as he crashes into something solid. The runes light brighter, shimmering in a wall that prevents his entry.

Resonance seems to resurface from the floor, looming over Artair from behind. "oooh-- so close, and yet so far.... It's really too bad. He's got minutes in him, if that." A hand grabs the back of his head and shoves Artair's face into the wall. He jerks, hissing at the pressure building to pain. "And it looks like you can't get through! What. A. Shame. Guess you got here just in time to watch him die." Resonance almost speaks in sing-song.

Artair felt a sickening thud. Resonance's hand retracts, and his gaze turns on the magic spell around Butch. "The runes--- I can--."

"You have minutes, not hours, puppet." Resonance lays on his back, seeming to float in the air like a hammock, with a slow moving twister of condensed fog forming his tail. "My wards are far too thick for the sledgehammer method. You won't get inside in time."

Artair wrenched his gaze towards Resonance. "Then what do you want?"

"You know what I want~."

Artair grimaces. Resonance continues, head tilted at an angle that couldn't be pleasant. "I'll let you save him! Won't stop you at all. And in exchange....." His fingers flex on that fucking arm. "....you know what to do, puppet. I'll even let him go! So long as he's not stupid enough to stick around, your precious little cowboy will live."

Artair wanted to think about it. But he couldn't. Not with Butch bleeding out right in front of him. What was the point of pushing back if he wasted time? Saving Butch-- it was all that really mattered. "....Fine. Just-- just let me in. Let me save him, and let him leave."

"Good boy. It's a deal." Resonance's claws came down, severing the wards in one fell swoop, the smile on his face particularly smug. Leave it to Artair to be so easy to manipulate. The cowboy might not listen, but his favorite always did.

Artair didn't bother with a response. The lights faded around the ring, and he rushes those last few feet to Butch's side. He almost slides the last foot on his knees, and cups Butch's bloodied face between his own hands. "Oh.....Butch. I'm so sorry. It'll be okay-- I-- I have you--- fuck.... I'm so sorry. It's my fault I--- I'm so sorry...." His eyes are burning. He carefully gathers him up.

The whispers are so fragile. Under Resonance's unblinking eyes, Artair cradles Butch close to him, and begins to speak what magic he knows beneath his breath and into the air, mouth pressed against Butch's temple and eyes screwed shut.

Butch moves like his life depends on it, which it does, not wasting any time in yanking that rope as tightly as he can at an attempt to cut off the others airflow, wanting to inebriate him. Unfortunately for the cowboy, his attempts prove to be seemingly futile when the others head spins around like a fucking owls—as horrific and unexpected as it is, it admittedly catches him off guard which makes it all the easier for Resonance to exact his own revenge. The snake like beast strikes quickly, far too fast for Butch to be able to avoid, even if he were just an average snake… he hears himself scream out in pain as those long pointed fangs pierce into his leg before he even has a moment to prepare himself. His leg quickly begins to tingle and before his balance gives, Butch can feel the force of the yank on the rope which flings him to the ground and onto his face with a sickening SMACK!

Shaky arms make an attempt to pry himself off of the ground moments later, desperate to keep moving only for his form to be forcefully met with the stone cold solid cavern floor again. His form aches, his face a little more so where his now busted nose gushes blood. He doesn’t bother trying to get up this time; so long as Resonance had a hold on him, he was essentially a toy and that rings true when he’s picked back up and slammed into the ground again and again until…! Something gives.

He hears the crack himself but is unable to place the source as his entire being ACHED. His afflictions throbbed like a heart beat and he felt hot all over, and sick to his stomach. Butch pathetically rolls onto his side once Resonance’s fit of anger is over, face battered and bloodied now to the point where it was almost difficult to breath. He chokes for a second before spitting out a couple of teeth at once and he just… lays there in a pained heap, seemingly having nothing left to say. No energy left to expend. His vision is blurry, the area around him spins making him all the more nauseous, and weary. Everytime he blinks, opening his eyes gets a little bit more difficult until… darkness envelops him and he slips out of consciousness without a word.

Butch hadn’t trusted a single word out of the creatures mouth, another reason why he continued to fight. Maybe part of him thought he actually had a chance, maybe he thought events would turn in his favor—it was hard to know for sure what his train of thought might have been, if there was any rhyme or reason to his actions.

Resonance scrapes him off of the cold ground and his form is limp, blood seeping from nearly every crevice in his face as he’s finally moved over to the spot the beast had mentioned before.

Time for a fun class activity!!

After we were taught about the 12 principles of animation, we were told to identify them each separately in a cartoon clip. I selected a clip from Tom and Jerry.

Principle 01- Squash and stretch

This principle is found in almost every shot, but in some shots this quality really stands out. For instance in the beginning of the clip when Tom falls down the stairs he is squashed like a ball. Even when Butch hits Tom's tail accidently using the axe, Tom's face becomes all stretchy.

Principle 02- Anticipation.

Anticipation is used to prepare the viewer for an action, and to make the movement to appear more powerful. When tom grabs the phone, there is a slight delay to show anticipation in the shot. Before Butch hits Tom with the Axe, there is a delay to prepare the audience for what's about to happen.

Principle 03- Staging

In this scene, the composition or in other words staging is used brilliantly to highlight Tom and Butch and their actions. First the highlight of the scene is Tom as he opens the door. Then we see Butch entering the scene. The Centre of attraction is him. And then once again the highlight switches to Tom.

Principle 04- Straight-ahead action and pose-to-pose

These two methods of drawing are different from one another. Straight ahead scenes that happen immediately are animated frame by frame from start to finish, whereas "pose to pose" scenes are created by first drawing the key frames and then filling in the gaps later{In betweens).

Principle 05- Follow-through and overlapping action

This refers to the loosely tied parts of a character's body continuing to move after they have stopped. The tails of Tom, Jerry and Butch in these scenes are examples for this principle.

Principle 06- Slow in and slow out

Real-world objects, like the human body, move slowly at first and then pick up speed. In order to achieve more realistic movements, more images are drawn at the start and end of an action, creating a slow in and slow out effect. In this clip, when Jerry is dragged to the magnet, We see a Slow-in and then the movement becomes fast as he nears the magnet.

Principle 07- Arc

The best thing to do when creating animation is to adhere to the laws of physics. Your animations should reflect the arc that most moving objects take when they move. In Tom and Jerry this arc is presented in many shots. For example When Tom is hitting Jerry with the shovel, this arc is shown.

Principle 08- Secondary Action

A scene comes to life and can support the main action by including secondary actions. For instance, in the following scene Butch washing his hand is the main action. Water dripping down and splashing is the secondary action. In the next example, the wall pieces falling down is the secondary action.

Principle 09- Timing

Timing refers to how many drawings or frames there are for a specific action, which gives an idea about how quickly the action moves on screen. You can direct the mood and the behavior of your characters and objects by using the right timing.

Principle 10- Exaggeration

An animation can be ruined by too much realism by appearing static and monotonous. Instead, by giving our characters and objects a little exaggeration we can give them more life. In this clip, Butch's head bump is purely exaggerated to give a comedic view for the scene. In the other shot, Jerry is surprised and this surprise is shown using the principle of Exaggeration.

Principle 11- Solid drawing

This principle says that you should always understand the fundamentals of drawing. Understanding form and anatomy, lights and shadows, and drawing in 3D are all part of this. In Tom and Jerry solid drawings throughout the show and it is one of the major reasons for the success of the show. Following are the first character sheets used for Tom and Jerry.

Principle 12- Appeal

The characters, objects, and the setting in which they live should be appealing to the viewer. This includes having a design that is simple to read, solid drawings, and personality. It's crucial that the viewer viewer feels the character is real and interesting.

 When you go hunting with the boys no one believes that you’re their sister. They always think you’re Sam and Dean’s daughter, or wife, or girlfriend, or something completely wrong. The wife thing was far too common an occurrence for your liking. 

 So after a certain point you couldn’t help but get used to it. At times you even played into it, posing as Sam and Dean’s little girl who they just couldn’t leave at home. It was fun even, teasingly calling your older brothers Dad and Papa. And everyone you’ve ever worked with bought it from the beginning. And you were okay with that until Jack entered your life.

 The two of you just clinked from the start. Dean would jokingly call you childish all the time and though it hurts being around Jack made you feel normal. He is so new to the world and is still learning. You just can’t help it but want to join him along the way.

 “Like this?” Jack held up his work of crochet, a half finished jellyfish head. 

 “Yeah, you’re a natural at this,” you praised, looking over his handiwork. He really was talented. “Do you want to use another color?” you added, grinning as his cheerful nod.

 “What are you two doing?” Dean poked his head into your corner of the library that you and Jack turned into a pillow fort. There were string lights hung up and cushions thrown all around the place. Blankets and sheets were taken from your respective bedrooms and were used as well. 

 “Nothing.”

 “Making friends.”

 “Making friends?” You silently curse out the golden retriever that is your friend, hoping to convey all of that through a single glare. 

 “Well, not really but-”

 “Look what I made!” Jack held up his jellyfish head for Dean to see. The older man raised his eyebrows, pursing his lips, and looking like the confused older brother that he was. 

 “That just looked like a butch of yarn.” 

 There was also that time in the kitchen. The Bunker had just been attacked and everyone was just trying to calm down. Live in the few moments of peace that you were allowed and everything. So you decided to make everyone pancakes. Jack for whatever reason was also up at the ungodly hour and wanted to help. 

 Making pancakes is not as easy as it sounds.

 “What’s going on?!” Dean coughed, waving away the smoke as he stumbled into the kitchen.

 “We’re making pancakes,” Jack replied, waving his spatchal over the only salvageable pancake. It was a little too dark and burnt at the edges. But some people linked crispy pancakes, at least that's what you were telling yourself.

 “No, you’re starting a fire.” Dean pointed to the flame that had caught your apron. 

 “Argh!” you begin screaming, throwing the arpon off of yourself and onto the ground. Before the whole Bunker could be set on fire Dean puts out the flame with the fire extinguisher. 

 “You okay?” Dean asked, waving through the smoke. 

 “Y-yeah,” you stumbled, suddenly realizing where you were. Jack’s arms were around you putting his body in front of yours. You were the same height but it didn’t matter as you stared at his beautiful eyes. They were slightly teary from the smoke but they just looked stunning.

 “Are you going to make out or clean up?” 

 “What’s make out?”

 “C-clean up, of course,” you rushed, running to the storage closet to get the broom.

 And that wasn’t even taking into account of the rain day.

 “I think that piece goes there,” you motion towards the section of the puzzle with the same color and texture. 

 “Oh you’re right,” Jack smirks, putting the piece into place. You were staring at his charming smile and he just so happened to look up at the same time. Getting caught off guard was one thing but getting caught off guard by that face was game over. You were swooning before you even realized it.

 “Alright alright, six feet apart. I don’t want to deal with any grandkids,” came Dean’s gravelly voice.

 “Dean!” you shouted, embarrassed out of your mind and trying to hide your face within your arms. 

 “What does he mean-”

“I mean unless you plan on marrying my sister, stay away from her,” Dean explained threateningly.

 “Why?” Jack tilted his head like a puppy.

 “Because I want her attention too, and with you around I barely get the time of day from her. Can you imagine how much she would talk to me with a little kid running around? Actually don’t.” 

 “Little kid?”

 “Argh! Dean, go flirt with Cas or something,” you begin the dull process of shoving your brother out the door. “Leave us alone.”

Hey y'all so Christmas is coming up and we're bored so I thought I'd compile a list of all the LGBT stuff that I've seen! This list definitely doesn't include everything there is to see, just what I've seen. Hopefully you can look at this and find something you like!

Note: some of these movies/shows I really love, some... not so much. I put how many stars (in my opinion) they get at the end of each title. If you like a movie I don't, good for you. Vise versa. If you want me to go more into depth about a particular movie or show and my opinion on it or possible content warnings, please leave a comment or an ask. Love, Simon- we all know it I assume. A closeted teenage boy befriends another closeted kid at his school and he is threatened to be outed to the whole school. Gay protagonist. Three stars

The Way He Looks- a blind teenage boy dreams to study abroad to prove himself and he begins to catch feelings for the new kid at school. Queer male protagonist. Four stars.

Boy Erased- a memoir telling the story of the time a gay teen spent at conversion therapy. CW: this movie is very dark and definitely do not watch it if you are triggered by sexual assault, suicide, and aggressive homophobia. Gay protagonist. Three stars

The Miseducation of Cameron Post- a lesbian is sent to a conversion camp where she befriends two outcasts who rebel against the Christian ideologies of the camp. CW: this movie does make fun of conversion therapy and has many lighter moments, but it still has dark content like aggressive homophobia and self harm. Lesbian protagonist, background queer and trans characters. Three stars

Hidden Kisses- a new kid faces bullying when a picture of him kissing another guy gets posted online at a party. CW: this movie doesn't seem to be for LGBT people at all. It's a lot of oppression porn. That's the movie. Gay protagonist. One star

GBF- a gay kid gets outed and becomes the "GBF" of the popular girls at school. Gay protagonist. One star

Musicals

Falsettos- a man name Marvin goes through a terrible divorce after being discovered as gay, but he tries to keep his ex, child, and boyfriend all in one family. Gay protagonist, background lesbian characters. Five stars

Fun Home- a musical based on Alison Bechdel's coming out memoir following her life as a college student coming out and her relationship with her secretly gay father. CW: while this musical is very fun and lighthearted, there is suicide, implied pedophilia, and verbal abuse. Lesbian protagonist. Five stars

Spies are Forever- an American spy in the 50-60s struggles to work again after the death of his lover. Gay protagonist. Four stars

Trinkets- a girl at a new school forms an unlikely friendship with two other girls at a shoplifters anonymous meeting. The main character is a lesbian and forms a relationship with another girl. Lesbian protagonist. Two stars

Special- a man with cerebral palsy lies about his condition to his new coworkers, saying he was in a car accident. Gay protagonist. One star

She-Ra- we know this one mate. A girl from an evil group discovers a sword that can turn her into a powerful princess. There's a large amount of LGBT characters so you won't be disappointed. Five stars

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts- a girl named Kipo finds herself on the surface surrounded by strange creatures called mutes. One of the characters is a gay black boy and he actually has a coming out scene where he says the word gay. All the main (human) characters are black or mixed as well. Five stars

Pose- a woman named Blanca takes in a homeless gay boy, a trans sex worker, and a former drug dealer to form a family and walk in balls. This show has great representation of trans women of color as well as queer men of color. Five stars

Twelve Forever- a young girl travels to the fictional land known as Endless to escape her fears of growing up. She is shown having crushes on girls and you can possibly also hc her as trans. Four stars

Steven Universe- we also know this one y'all. A half- human half-gem boy named Steven defends his town and the universe with the help of the crystal gems. Many LGBT characters, primarily wlw. Four stars

Never Have I Ever- a teenage girl tries to fix her reputation after the death of her father by becoming more aquatinted with the most popular guy in school. One of her friends has a coming out arc where she realizes she's a lesbian. It also has a very diverse cast and age appropriate actors. Five stars

One Day at a Time- a sitcom about a single Cuban mother and former veteran trying to juggle her family, job, and love life. Her daughter Elena has a coming out arc in the first season and dates a nonbinary character later in the show. Five stars

Queer Eye- a reality TV show about five gay men helping people get their shit together. We know this one. Five stars

TALKING OF 8, they adopted her. Like they follow them on their tour, Marina stop calling her agent and her taking the name eight. She is helping on the tour, she find a life. It’s not a date, ok?!

The Hamburger day was the most anticipated day of the month and used to fill the Vault 101 cafeteria. The older and  post - G.O.A.T teens attended at lunchtime, the younger ones after school in the late afternoon. But there was a window of time where it was possible to eat in peace ... Fifteen thirty.

This month, they said there would be some changes to the event. The Overseer had announced a sale: when buying two hamburgers, the big fries were half the price! That was a bargain! Anna was excited for the day, she loved fries and would be a good opportunity to go out with a friend and share snacks! But her enthusiasm was soon drained when she saw that no one was as excited as she was and they would not accompany her... Her father and Jonas started a new project in the reactor, Amata had started a new diet by cutting all kinds of snacks, Freddie Gomez had already gone with some of the Tunnels Snakes in the morning and Beatrice, well, as much as Anna liked her, today she wasn’t very patient to put up with the crazy stories.

Then, when the clock struck fifteen, Anna closed the small clinic she took care of in the afternoon and headed alone to the cafeteria. Her feet carried her automatically, since her mind was distracted by fiddling with her pip boy and thinking that she would probably save the extra hamburger for Jonas. At the entrance to the cafeteria, she already noticed said changes: Instead of asking Andy directly for the hamburger now she had to place an order with Tom Holden, who was outside of the cafeteria writing on a form and then just handed it over to Mister Handy. Good thing she had been thinking about the order all afternoon!

Anna: “Hello Tom, good afternoon! Can I order now? I want two cheeseburgers, a large fries and a Nuka-Cherry. Ple…

As Tom took the order, Anna felt an arm go over her shoulders and shed her weight, while modifying the order she had just placed.

Butch: “Change the order Holden. Okay, there will still be two cheeseburgers but one will be without salad and the other with salad. You already have the big fries, right? Then put on a Nuka-Dark and Cherry. Do you want anything else, Crybaby? ”

Just as Tom looked confused at Anna, she casted the same look at the last being in the vault that she would think of sharing a hamburger with.

Anna: "Deloria, wh ... What are you doing?" - freeing herself from the boy's arms-

Butch: “Me? Well, first, girls shouldn't eat that much. Second: You don't want to end up like Amata do you? Third: Coming to eat hamburgers alone is a loser thing ... So, I came to save you and do my good deed today. ” -For him it seemed very obvious, besides the factor of being able to get a free snack-

Anna scowled, hated how Butch managed to get her off the ground. And there was not a single day in her life when she had peace, since Butch was in almost each one of them.

Anna: ”Who do you think you are Butch, to speak of Amata like that ?! She is not fat, it’s just an eating disorder! She's already getting treated! ”

Butch: “blah, blah blah ... Don't give me your silly terms, Little nurse. I don't care. In the end, you two will end up fat and nobody will want you. Isn't it Holden ?! - Asked with disgust without waiting to receive the answer from the attendant-

Anna: “I AM A DOCTOR! I don't care what you think! And for your information, Brian invited me to the movie night on Friday night. ” -The girl replied with all the disdain that she managed to gather while she got the form and went inside the cafeteria-

Ok ... This information came quickly and the boy did not expect it. he didn't care it was another fight with her, but what about that invitation? This ended up leaving him a little shaken, he looked at the girl's back, blinking those bright blue eyes processing the situation. What do you mean that idiot would have a date with the most boring guy in the vault? And even on movie night. Everyone knows that movie night is for couples and ... Well, she couldn't do well with this discussion. As far as he remembered, Anna always went with Amata or at most with that idiot Freddie and he knew that nothing happened, right ?! But now it was different.

Butch: YOU'RE NOT FUCKING GOING OUT WITH THAT JERK, Nosebleed. ” - The boy shot through the cafeteria, his luck was that it was relatively empty. He tried to find a plausible answer, but it was difficult and for a few seconds he thought he was stupid for not being able to form a complete sentence - “I swear… Aren't you always going with Amata? because now with… What if… ”

Anna looked over her shoulder with a little smile as she saw an embarrassed Butch trying to prevent that encounter. Since he was a child, Butch proved to be very skilled in getting around some situations without losing his pose. He was great with lies and intimidation, in addition to looking like  he knew things when something interested him, but over time the girl began to notice the small signs that he showed when something got out of his control, such as when someone came into contact with delicate subjects: radroachs, anything about his mother Ellen and Anna's supposed romantic interests (Paul still has a part of his tooth broken because he gave her a valentine card), were treated with some kind of aggression. Over time she learned to deal with Butch's huge ego and in some situations, like today, she was able to have fun with all that. She liked to see him lose his badass pose. It made her feel a little nostalgia for when they were children and were really true to each other. While lost in his thoughts and pretending to hear what Butch said, Andy placed the dishes on the counter and thanked ...

Anna: “And what are you going to do, Butch ?! C'mon, stop talking and get the drinks. ” - Commanded the girl taking the plates and pushing him with her shoulders slightly followed by a little smile-

Butch still hasn't managed to say anything, but he did as he was told and joined the girl at the counter that faced the hall window. The two began to eat in silence and just watched people passing in the hall, casting curious looks, others of disapproval, but nothing more than what they were already used to.

Anna's hamburger was delicious, especially with the taste of the little victory over Butch ... And to improve Brian went down the hall and waved to Anna, who returned, making his table partner roll his eyes.

Butch: “Tell me Nosebleed. Are you really going out with that clown? ” -Asked in a calm tone, almost docile-

Anna: “Probably. I didn't get any better invitations for Friday anyway. ” Shrugging her shoulders while finishing wiping her mouth-

Butch just sniffed in response and pretended to be interested in his Nuka-dark. Anna looked at him out of the corner of her eye and while stealing a potato from the boy's plate, she continued the matter.

Anna: “But you know what? I think I will receive another invitation.” - Cleaning her fingers and taking a sip of the soda-

Butch took another sip of his soda and even though he didn't look at her, the girl noticed the blue eyes dancing while his mind was working to get the best responses of indifference to her. she continued smiling, nowadays it is so easy to decipher that boy.

Butch: “ You are too confident Nosebleed! Besides, if there is someone stupid enough to invite you, it is certainly a person who is not worth it ”

Anna: “Oh yeah ?! Because I think there is someone who is worth it and is super stupid enough for that. ” - She replied smiling, but this time facing him-

Their eyes met and Anna could see Butch's ear turn red. And just as he tried to maintain his pose, Anna tried to relieve the heat that her cheeks were emanating. Perhaps they both felt a hook pulling their belly buttons , perhaps those butterflies? What was it like to deal with them? Maybe it was better to  just be silent, because it happened again, just being broken by another little sniff from the boy followed by a shy and awkward smile.

Butch: "You are too confident..." - He repeated as he focused on sharing his part of the potatoes with her. Doing everything not to face her-

Anna: "Sure, sure... Popcorn is on me!" - replied the girl laughing, pushing a Butch again in embarrassment while serving herself the fries-

Did the message reach him? Or did she look very desperate? Will he take it seriously? It probably didn't matter so much at the moment ... They were too young for any of that kind of concern, moreover it was just a movie session on Friday and today was only the hamburger day...

I hope you all enjoy the only Halloween fic I did this year lol. I wanted to write more but I’ve been kinda of in the writing dumbs and haven’t been feeling too good about my writing. But none the less, some Blossutch

Halloween was a night of frights and to be going to parties with your friends dressed as any character you want, not to be sitting alone at a bar in a dress a little too tight for Blossoms comfort and two shots down her throat.

She was a fool to think that some dude from her chem class was actually going to show for the party, of course she was ditched. Blossom Utonium was known for many things, but parrying? People acted like she had never heard the word.

All she wanted was to have this night be fun and maybe wake up with a small hangover, what? She was a college student and wanted at least one “reckless” experience. Her sisters had beat her to that already and it wasn’t embarrassing that she wanted to feel that way too.

She felt a person slither into the seat next to her. Eyes already rolling as he ordered a drink and she knew he was getting ready to turn and say some horrific pick up line.

“Well if it isn’t Miss Everything Nice?”

Her head turned to see Butch smirking like the Chershire Cat as he took the drink and smacked it back.

“Butch.” She said with a small smile. She felt slightly more relaxed and was thankful someone she knew was by her. She also had no problem blasting him to the sky if he tried anything. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”

He shrugged. “Oh yeah know, tired of parties and thought I’d give a bar a try. This place kinda blows, barely anyone here.”

“Mmm too bad.” She didn’t mind that there wasn’t any screaming people or girls throwing up in the corner. It was better this way.

“So what are you suppose to be?” She asked with a slight laugh.

He was wearing a black vest with no shirt underneath and black pants to match...and a tail?

“Sexy play boy bunny!” He said proudly and held up his headband that had two floppy black ears. “What about you?”

“Oh.” She brushed her hands in her lap. “I’m Jessica Rabbit. Thought it was easy, yeah know, redhead and all that.” Why did she feel embarrassed all of a sudden? 

He didn’t even try to hide the fact that he looked her up and down. “You look good Pink.” He smiled and she felt slightly better. 

“Thank you.” She needed another drink, maybe. 

Butch looked around then back to her with a confused expression. “So wheres the bunny?” 

“Bunny?” She questioned. 

“Yeah. The rabbit she married.” 

“Oh. Roger rabbit. He uh...ditched, found another rabbit hole I guess. Its alright, he wasn’t that great to begin with.” She shrugged and didn’t realize he had bought her a drink. 

She glanced at it then to him and noticed that he was staring at her. “What?” She asked and started to twist a lock of hair nervously.

“Nothing. I just don’t understand how someone could ever ditch you.”

Blossom was slightly taken back by his words. “It’s happened, I’m used to it.” She answered honestly.

“Well stop getting used to it.” Butch said and grabbed her hand.

“W-what-“ She let out a gasp as she collided with his chest.

She opened her eyes and looked at him to see a bright smirk. One arm came around her waist as the other held her hand in his. Her chest was pressed against his and he swayed them to the music ignoring the other people on the dance floor.

Her own smile came forward as she relaxed and let him take the lead.

“There it is.” He winked and she blushed slightly. “I’ve always liked your smile a lot.”

“How charming.” She rolled her eyes playfully.

He spun her and brought her back. “I’m not joking Blossom.”

She blew up on her bangs. “Butch you don’t need to say things out of pity, really it fine.”

His lips twitched to a frown as he guided her through the bar and outside.

“Hey where are we-“ but she was cut off as he held her close and flew them up to the roof where they were alone. The music was still heard slightly and she could feel the vibration of the club below.

“That’s much better, hate being in cramped places. Anyways, I am not saying shit out of pity. Blossom, I’ve liked you since...fuck I don’t even know. You’re the most intelligent and beautiful girl I have ever met and it makes me mad that some nobody would ever treat you like that. I just wish you could see how incredible you are.” He brought her hand to his lips and kissed her wrist.

Blush dusted her cheek as she stared at him. She had received endless compliments before but never had they effected her like this. She wondered if he ever knew about her crush on him. In the battles they had as children, her eyes would always wonder over to him and she was in awe at the power he had.

They had never had the same friend group aside from their silblings and even in high school, she would see him in the hallways and wondered what it would be like to be next to him.

Boy after boy. They were all the same. She was too intimidating or the spotlight was too much for them all but Butch, he was just like her, an equal. Someone she had thought to be just a friend but she never knew how big of a crush she had on him until they got older.

She took a step forward, reaching to his belt to pull the headband out and placed it on his head. The black ears flopped forehead as he grinned and she ruffled a piece of hair falling on his face.

“There, now you’re Roger Rabbit.” She whisper and planted her red lips on his cheek. “A dark emo Roger Rabbit.”

He let out a laugh. “Seriously though, I like you a lot Bloss.”

“I like you too.”

His eyes widened slightly like a kids on Christmas. “R-really?” He asked as if he doubted her. “I don’t believe you.” He teased.

An idea popped into her head as she cupped his cheek. “Will this change your mind?”

“What-“ He was cut off with her hands pulling the collar of his vest and the pressing of her lips to his.

Butch grabbed her waist to pull her closer and tilted his head to deepen the kiss. He was not about to tell her that he had been dreaming of this moment since middle school.

She pulled away with a smile.

“I’ve been dreaming of this since middle school.” SHIT.

She giggled. “Me too. How about we get out of her and go watch a movie or something?”

He cocked an eyebrow. “Or something? Miss Rabbit you are bad.” He chuckled.

Blossom giggled before striking an over the top pose, her leg peaking through the high slit in the dress. “I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way.” She winked.

@ all women: i’ve been thinking about orientation vs own perceived attractiveness and i’m interested in a conversation about it (like is this legit or am i being biased toward my own experience, or like little of column A little of column B)

i think a benefit of being gay is it takes the guesswork out of trying to be attractive and makes me more comfortable in my own skin. like i feel hot because i can look at all the things about me and know that i personally am attracted to those features, you know? this includes like body shape and stuff i guess, but moreso things like how i dress and my hair and makeup and even how i pose in photos, the more fluid day-to-day decisions.

makeup is a big one - i frequently see the debate about the ‘minimum’ amount of makeup women can get away with, the makeup-to-look-like-you’re-not-wearing-makeup thing, women saying that they’re taken less seriously in professional settings and get asked if they’re sick or tired if they dare show up bare faced, etc. i 100% think that’s unacceptable and makeup shouldn’t be a factor in how ‘put together’ we look, but also for me personally i feel like that’s already true. since i don’t typically wear any it isn’t a break from routine, it’s how i always look and no one mentions it. me dressed my most professional does not need to include makeup. i do wear it for fun sometimes, but more like it’s a thing to add if i’m dressing up in not-just-normal clothes, like a drag show or a concert. i feel like my naked face looks complete and people treat me as such. i could for sure see this being tied to butchness, but i’m pretty femme so that isn’t requisite. this isn’t a massive sample but absolutely none of my straight friends say the same, they all experience that negativity when they go without.

and this isn’t to say that same-sex attraction is necessary to feel attractive, for sure straight women can be like feelin’ themselves, but it does seem maybe less consistent? and there’s different uhh versions - like the ‘idgaf what everyone thinks but i like this outfit’ vs like, thirst trap mode (this is not a negative term, i love thirst trap mode, i just mean it’s for an audience). and i think the second one carries a bit of a ‘ok, what are men into..’ where when i do it it’s just ‘hell ya i look hot’ with no real consideration. is this true? also bi women, do you feel maybe some of each? like ‘well i’m certainly into this but idk if he will be’?

last point for now, my attraction to other women also helped me get over specific insecurities about my own body. it was like an epiphany where i went ‘hang on, a lot of the women i think are hot have stretchmarks and the belly pouch shape and acne and hairy legs and squishy arms, and that doesn’t detract from my attraction to them… the same must apply to me???’ which maybe has some overlap in some areas with m/f attraction, like acne or general chubbiness, but there’s also the whole thing about different standards and idk, i don’t know if it would feel as potent and convincing. thoughts?
