The Pirate King of the North

AU where Straw Hat Pirates meet old Sanji from a reality where Reiju didn't have emotions.

Young Zoro hates the fucker but those scars and piercings are doing a number to his soul.

Old Sanji's story goes like this:

He didn't experience compassion from anyone else aside from his mother, who--you know what happened.

Judge kept him locked away until he was 13. He had him released when he was deemed too broken to do anything, and he was apparently a waste of space. As far as the world was concerned, he was already dead. He gets left behind at some random pirate town in the North.

His swirly brows were recognized by the pirates who took him in--only for him to be enslaved because people would pay a lot to have their way with royalty.

He picked up some skills from the other slaves and became cunning af--because he had to be.

At 17 he started a revolt against the slaver pirates, effectively taking over as their new pirate captain.

He became the feared "Mr. Prince" and his words are as sharp as his bite.

He's underweight because he doesn't give two shits about good food.

"The All Blue? It's nothing but an old fishwive's tale," he says.

He used his cunning mind and new pirate crew to hunt down and kill his own father from the shadows.

He enslaved his own siblings and becomes the new ruler of Germa Kingdom. Over the years, he used them for warfare and expanded the territory of the North.

His heart is a bottomless pit for power and control.

He had a fling or two or several with is closely allied with Doflamingo because god damn they're both mad like that. The alliance eventually lead to direct connections with Celestial Dragons.

Sanji gains more power and becomes the notorious "Pirate King of the North"

Meanwhile at the other side of the world, Luffy didn't make it as far as he could have without a good cook.

Luffy would have recruited one from Baratie but the restaurant was absolutely destroyed before the smaller Straw Hat crew could make a difference. Some of the staff didn't make it.

Zoro left the crew when it fell apart at some point.

Due to Zoro's reputation and bounty that he had occurred during his limited time with Luffy, he was offered a position as a Warlord, ultimately taking over the late Jinbe's old role. He accepted and served for several years before he was assigned a job that he didn't know would be the most challenging one yet.

The Celestial Dragons didn't like the fact that Sanji had started to have more worldly control over their own, so Zoro was quietly assigned to hunt down the great Pirate King of the North. Zoro accepted because he felt that he needed more experience before he could take on Mihawk again.

Zoro quickly realised that this mission is not a walk in the park.

Sanji loves toying with the Demon Warlord so he insists on taking him on by himself.

It becomes an endless game of cat and mouse. Sometimes Sanji chases and sometimes he runs, sometimes he wins and sometimes he loses.

They're at each others' throats everywhere in the world. Any person, city or being of any kind that gets in the way usually gets torn apart in the chaos. The hunt goes on for a lifetime. They're currently in their 40's.

Zoro severs Sanji's left arm during one huge fight.

Because of this, Sanji relentlessly tries to get Zoro to marry him to use him in so many ways he can think of--both as an asset and under the sheets--oh the things that he wants the swordsman to do and beg for.

Sanji likes to refer to the tiniest scar on his lip as "Zoro's love bite"

He was about to get a nice fresh one on his chest when some fuckers teleported him away.

Hearing old Sanji's backstory was a bit much. It was young Zoro's turn to have a nosebleed that day.

My first comic full comic (that isn't a shit post lol)!! I'm excited! This was initially inspired by "My Oh My by Camila Cabello" and it has spurred an entire modern AU in my mind where Zoro is the last person that Luffy met - "Best For Last"

That was initially going to be a stand-alone comic, but since an entire universe is forming, I have at least five more floating around in my head, also inspired by other songs.

Random one piece modern/normal life Highschool au headcanons

Luffy: bro definitely steals other peoples food like I used to have this friend who would go through RANDOM PEOPLES lunch kits and just steal their food. He would 100% do this

Zoro: he’s that kid who sleeps in every class but still has good grades because of athletic

Nami: she’ll steal straight from your bag like if she sees a giant bag of holly ranchers in your bag she’ll take it even if you’re wearing that bag in that moment (true story same girl who stole out of peoples lunch kits took the jolly ranchers) and she re sells the jolly ranchers

Usopp: He’s the guy in your art class that’s insanely good and everyone thinks that he has no friends but he just locks in for that class. If you see him outside of the class then he’ll be hanging out with a group of friends. He also organizes the senior prank.

Sanji: he’s the guy who people bring to their hear me out cakes. He’s semi popular because he’s friends luffy. He’ll protest the dress code for both because of feminism and because he’s a pervert.

Chopper: the child prodigy who it’s lowkey embarrassing to ask answers from but you still do it anyway because he has a good grade in that class. He won’t give you the answers but he’ll help you study if you’re nice.

Robin: She’s extremely smart all A’s but she won’t give you answers or help you study unless you’re her friend. Also a theatre kid gets the lead because she’s the teachers favorite

Franky: football player very popular but not one of the mean ones. If he sees someone asking out a girl as a joke or for a bet he’ll probably warn the girl or tell the guy to stop. Dating robin and everyone expects him to be like the tough one in the relationship but it’s robin.

Let's go back a touch to when old Sanji reunited with his Zoro after the arm incident.

Sanji

I'm back Marimo-kun~! Sorry I was gone for so long!

Zoro

What the–? How the fuck did you get into my house?!

Sanji

Turns out I got this genetically-modified body so my limbs are practically replaceable! This isn't normal, right?

Commander 1

My Liege, we still need to attach the rest of the flesh.

Sanji

Oh, shush it now. I know it's just for padding at this point.

Anyway! This means we can keep fighting! Isn't that wonderful? I know your dad doesn't fight with that red-head anymore because of it.

Zoro

Dad? What are you…? Forget it. You're a freak. Get out. Now.

Sanji

Is…is it the hair? I thought I'd try something new…. I spent so long fixing it up for you. Do you not like it?

Zoro

Wait, what is that?

Sanji

Oh! This thing on my hand? It's a get-well-soon gift from my dear Doffy! He said I should at least try and make the fight fair for us so you won't get bored of me. What do you think?

Zoro

Fair? What do you mean fair?! And who the fuck is Doffy–?

Sanji

So many questions! Marimo-kun, I'm actually just here to propose. Let's go and get married!

Zoro

This…this must be some kind of a sick joke.

Sanji

I'm plenty serious actually. Come now, it'll be fun! If you marry me I'll give you all the sake you want~!

Zoro

You're barking mad if you think I'd agree to that.

Sanji

I need to know if someone's still alive…. It's only a rumour but it would kill me I'd I don't find out for sure. And only he might know it.

Zoro

A friend of yours?

Law

You can say that.

Zoro

What's the name?

Law

It's…the Marines call him Corazon.

Notes: I'm still exploring how to do dialogue the way my brain lays it out in my head. I've written scripts for storyboarding purposes before but Tumblr layout won't let me do what I need so bullet points it is. Oh well! Depending on feedback I might change it up.

i was thinking about a zosan au where they're fighting some villain on a random island (idk work with me) and sanji gets attacked by one of the henchmen and backed into a corner. something something he gets bit and turned into a vampire and hes like oh FUCK. but he doesn't realize until they're back on the ship and days later he cant touch garlic anymore or be in the sun without being sick. no one seems to notice too much except zoro who tries to bug sanji and gets nothing but a weak reply back. sanji needs blood right? without being able to get it hes feeling light headed and weak.

so maybe zoro confronts him late at night when hes on watch like wtf is wrong with you. sanjis like i dont know fuck off. they start fighting and i feel like it could get very angsty here, maybe sanji says something to zoro that like crosses a line. so zoro goes to leave but sanjis like wait please dont go and grabs his wrist, and zoros like why are you so cold?? so he gets shown the bite mark and he’s like 😨 yOURE A VAMPIRE and sanjis like NO IM NOT SHUT UP

all of this is to say that zoro dons a very serious face and grabs sanjis shoulders, looks him dead in the eyes and says, "Take my blood. I will be your sucking bag." Sanji is horrified and red and pushes him away and hes like GOD- NO I'D NEVER DRINK YOUR FILTHY MOSS BLOOD. but he ends up doing it anyway and i think it could lead to romance~

they probably end up stealing an iv bag and some medical stuff from chopper because sanjis too pussy to actually bite him, although zoro seems disappointed (gay boy)

So I have lately been thinking about SanNami future kids non-stop all night, and just wanted to share what I thought of so far. Forewarning, this is gonna be somewhat long 😅

Okay, first off, I picture Sanji and Nami having 5 kids (I love big families, sue me). Sanji teaches all of his kids the basics of Black Leg Style, but ultimately lets them decide what fighting style they want to learn. All 5 of their kids adore Luffy. Also, most of these are the basic, bare bone of ideas. So with that in mind lets get started.

The Oldest- Mika

Mika is a girl who is a spitting image of her mother, Nami, with the orange/red hair and brown eyes. The only physical trait she got from Sanji is the curly eyebrows.

Her birthday is March 6th.

One of her hobbies is cross-stitching and studying all of Nami's maps.

Mika likes to sunbathe with Nami.

She is extroverted. And an incorrigible flirt.

Mika's favorite Strawhat (besides SanNami and Luffy) is Zoro.

Whe she was 4, she told Zoro that when she grows up, she was going to marry him. XD

Zoro forever rubs that in Sanji's face, and Sanji doesn't know where he went wrong. Nami finds it hilarious.

She has a scar over the curly part of her right eyebrow, making it look like she has only one curly eyebrow. She got it runnng with a knife.

She thinks it looks awesome because know she looks just like Uncle Zoro.

Mika is training under Zoro in swordsmanship, although she prefers dual swords.

Mika's favorite spot on the Sunny is in the mast, traing with Zoro.

The 2nd Oldest- Sora

Sora is a boy who has blonde hair and green eyes. He has a beauty mark on the corner of his left eye. He also has curly eyebrows.

Sanji and Nami were confused on the where the green eyes came from at first, but then Nami realized that it must have been something Sora got from one of Nami's biological parents.

His birthday is November 28th.

One of his hobbies is baking.

He is introverted. Shy.

Sora's favorite Strawhat (besides SanNami and Luffy) is Chopper.

Sora likes having Chopper taste test his desserts he bakes with Sanji.

Sora is training under Chopper to become a doctor.

Because of that, Sora uses Black Leg fighting style and upholds Sanji's ideal of never using his hands in a fight, because Sora's hands are meant for healing.

Out of all the siblings, Sora is the best at Black Leg Style.

Sora's favorite spot on the Sunny is Nami's office. He studies his medical books their while Nami works on her maps.

The Twins- Genzo and Zeff

Genzo and Zeff are identical twins with orange/red hair and blue eyes. The only way to tell them apart is their curly eyebrows, they curl in opposite directions (Genzo curls like Reiju's and Zeff's curl like Sanji's).

Their birthday is July 26th.

They are both extroverted.

They are quite the ladies men.

Genzo's favorite Strawhat (besides SanNami and Luffy) is Franky, and Zeff's is Usopp.

One of Genzo's hobbies is building stuff with Franky and Usopp, and Zeff's is playing the guitar. They both like to cook.

One of Genzo's flaw is that he will do any and all dares.

It how he got his devil fruit power, an ability to freezes objects and people with a stare (not like actual ice freeze, more like whem you play freeze tag frozen... if that makes sense 😅)

Zeff dared him to eat the "rotten fruit" they found while exploring a new island.

Zeff is a bit manipulative like Nami.

Genzo fighting style is also Black Leg Style, but with weapons, curtesy of Franky. He has some weaponized greaves as well as rocket boots for that extra pow in his kicks.

He likes to freeze enemies just seconds before he kicks them in the face.

Zeff learned how to fight with a Bo staff like Nami. He also very good at strategic planning.

They never get tired of Brook's skull jokes.

They like taking naps under Nami's mikan trees. It's their favorits spot on the Sunny.

The Youngest- Belle-mère

Belle-mère is the youngest girl. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She strongly resembles Sanji's mother. She is the only SanNami kid to not have curly eyebrows.

Her birthday is September 23rd.

Some of her hobbies are playing chess and helping Sanji in the kitchen.

She is an introvert, but not nearly as much as Sora.

Belle-mère's favorite Strawhat (besides SanNami and Luffy) is Robin.

Bell-mère loves having teaparties with Robin, Brook, and Jinbei.

Jimbei is training Belle-mère in Fishman Karate.

Her favorite spot on the Sunny is in the kitchen with Sanji.

Alot of this wasn't really thought through, for the majority of them I just wrote down the first thing that popped into my head. If I ever decide to expand more on this, I will definitely put more thought and care into each of SanNami Eggplants, so things are bound to change a bit from what I have here, but for now I'm happy with it and I hope you guys enjoyed it as well. :)
