The Titan saying goodbye hurts because they really did know Luz for a while. Watched her, talked to her, as she talked to him; Answering every spell Luz wanted or needed, saving her life and those of her friends countless times. He’s been here since at least The Intruder, probably sooner given he was watching, so it feels like goodbye to an old friend, and it must’ve been for Luz, given the glyphs were the Titan, unique to him, and how she’s lived with him for so long. Even knowingly spoken to him at the knee, when she asked the Titan to show her magic, and when he did, Luz happily accepted and embraced it, recognizing it as a gift, even if she didn’t yet know it was for being so kind to his son.
Tumblr media
Luz must’ve grieved, not just the loss of her original glyphs and her brother’s dad, but also a companion she realized was with her since the beginning, the wonderful home she found in the demon realm. Someone she didn't even appreciate until it was too late. And he gave Luz one final gift, even as he was dying; The rest of his life, so Belos could not claim it as he did the glyphs and the Titan’s name and body, and most importantly to give Luz another chance at life.
Tumblr media
When Luz fought Belos one last time, it was with Eda, King, and the Titan present, during joyous synchronization; As it was when she stared Philip down as he was stomped to death by the Titan’s son, avenging his father. The Titan was the friend that gave Luz the magic she needed to become a Good Witch, it’s as much because of him as it is Eda and the rest... The Titan was her mentor too. He may as well have been a dad to Luz as well, and there is the possible metaphor of Belos corrupting the Titan being akin to Manny dying of cancer.

Professor Caduceia and Snakely
Checked out the storyboard for the deleted s1 episode "Homesick"
You can read it here : https://t.co/WpZJFWbR48
I just loved these cut villains, one whose design def seemed like it was given to raine when they got cut. (I wonder if the color palette was similar, but we don't have a reference to that so idk)
Thoughts on the cut episode below:
An episode where king and owlbert of all characters bond is kinda neat, especially since it provides owlbert himself a bit more character here.
The opening is def far different from any of the final ones we ever see in the series, in fact it feels like it should be taking place during the episode but it can't be given we see hooty from being sick to not being sick in pretty chronological order?
A focus on the healing coven was nice to see, especially since we never got that in the show itself, and get some idea of their powerset and what they do magic wise.
So Manny was an ambulance driver, and Camila was a nurse in this. People originally assumed camila was a nurse when the show started, and it makes me wonder if that was changed between seasons at some point cause clearly the crew decided to change her profession and it's unclear why.
you can use your palisman as a communicator? and an umbrella? I do think it's so weird that even at the very end of the show, they establish brand new rules for palisman. Like them being able to shapeshift into objects is straight up not explained and just sorta....happens in the show, like i feel like hunter would have no issue hiding flap if this is a thing. (It also kinda makes stringbean's ability slightly less unique) Like this is displayed in these boards, but they kept it even in the show itself, and i think palisman might need a proper rulebook.
On that same note, owlbert uses magic in this board, like we kinda knew palisman could do some magic without a witch, but this is the only time we've seen one use it to fight another witch that wasn't the batqueen. Like owlbert tries to full on blast people in this. I don't know if removing this episode makes this ability less canon in the world itself since they still can do magic in the show, it's just worth noting that palisman, according to this board, CAN fight back, even if they're not incredibly strong it seems. Certainly the kinda thing that makes you think on other episodes tbh.
This episode also brings up the idea that eda actually CAN and DOES bring human food to the BI, which never happens in the show, in fact luz implies she gets to eat very little options there, so this idea seems no longer canon?
The demon hunters at one point don't even seem to recognize owlbert as a palisman, which does not entirely make sense given they seem to be mostly common to the townsfolk, so I'm kinda glad for that plot hole being gone.
Caduceia makes it out like the emperor's coven forced her to teach? and she thought handing over a house demon to belos would get her out of teaching as if it were some kinda punishment or job she was made to do? I have questions
side note, house demons are called rare in this, like they're not common, not sure if this still applies in the final show, but yeah.
there's some very sweet moments in this with luz and eda especially, but also some funny moments, and some jokes that land a little less....i don't think we needed Caduceia to be kissing her snake like that from that angle, even if it was meant to be a little uncomfortable.
one reason i think this episode did get cut? we got a glyph in this
Tumblr media
a healing glyph, which has some ties to water based on it's symbol
i'm guessing since they kept the main glyphs element based, a healing glyph would of stuck out and been a bit weird. Like it just heals people, it doesn't produce water despite looking close to the alchemy symbol for water, and well....we already got ice so this would be redundent.
so yeah, this episode introduced a new glyph that saved them in the end so it would of come back in future episodes, but to keep it simple that would mean cutting the entire episode as a whole just to keep the four.
Since they enjoyed Caduceia's design so much, they must've repurposed it for raine somewhere down the line.
very fun insight into a scrapped episode.

Since we could always use more Clone stuffs, how bout I go through some clone names and we can all find (or have a nice review) of who got what name and what it means.
COMMANDER CODY The first named clone trooper, and the first unique clone onscreen as of Revenge of the Sith. So its only fitting we start with him. The name "Cody" originated as O'Cuidightheach, a gaelic name, and effectively, it means "Helpful" or "Helpful Person" Cody, out of universe, got his name based on old movies of Commando Cody--of which, Lucas was a fan of. In the extended Star Wars universe, Cody is a Republicized variant of the Mando'a word "Kote", which means Glory.
CAPTAIN REX Rex's name means "King" in latin. It can also refer to the Dinosaur, the Tyrannosaurus Rex. And it is also a common name for pet Dogs. Take that as you will.
LIEUTENANT JESSE Another shockingly ordinary name, and a Hebrew derived name. Coming from Ancient Greek of "Iessei", and then from Hebrew itself "Yishai". It means "Gift of God" or "God Exists" But more than likely, given that such historic-terminology does not exist in Star Wars. LT Jesse's name is more likely derived from the idiom "Give someone a Jesse"... Which means to give them a scolding or a beating.
KIX I've discussed Kix before, but I might as well do it again for posterity. Kix, is derived from Kex, the archaic english term for the plant "Hemlock". TBB fans, go wild.
HARDCASE You might assume this means that this someone who is hard-nosed and a hard nut to crack, but that isn't the case for our Hardcase. Hardcase is derived from New Zealand Slang, as An "amusing, funny, witty, or possibly strange person."
DENAL There is no specific case that I can make for Rex's early command squadmate, save that Denal is probably meant to be Denial.
BOIL While we can make jokes about the skin abrasion, it probably refers to his temper. A Boiling point, as it were.
WAXER It could be referring to someone who waxes... But, it could also refer to the term "Waxing", as it the growth of something. Given his "Glass half full" personality, perhaps its "Glass half waxing".
COMMANDER BLY The Commander of Aayla Secura's legion, and whom fired upon her during Revenge of the Sith. The term bly, a dialetcic english term, means "Likeness" or "resemblance". Means Bly literally got his name for resembling another person (Wow, no Shit). Whoever named him, basically called him the clone variant of Manny, beacuse He Man.
COMMANDER GREE Introduced in Revenge fo the Sith, as being decapitated by Yoda. While in the extended universe, he's named after animals... The term "Gree", English Obsolete, refers to either "One of a flight of steps" or "one of a stage of ranks". Dude literally got the name "Rank".
COMMANDER BACARA Introduced in Revenge of the Sith, for firing upon Kit-Mun-Di. Bacara is Romanian for Baccara, which in turn refers to Baccarat, a card game. Absolutely nobody knows where the word came from originally.
COMMANDER PONDS Retroactively intorduced in Attack of the Clones, as the Clone Commander who greets General Windu. It... It just means Pond, but pural. It probably refers to the fact that Kamino is an Ocean, and the earth's oceans are sometimes refered to as ponds in slang.
COMMANDER NEYO Revenge of the Sith. It probably is meant to mean "Neo", which means New or Young, in Ancient Greek.
COMMANDER APPO Revenge of the Sith; Marched on the Temple. Does not, in fact, outrank Rex despite himself. Appo is an obsolete english Prepostion, referring to an object as "Before", "After", "Behind" or "nearby". It derives from Latin, "Apud", which means "in the presence of" or "among" (AMOGUS?)
COMMANDER THORN Named after Thor, from Marvel. There's even an old english letter called Thorn.
COMMANDO GREGOR The name Gregor, means "Watchful" or "alert". Which, given his character, is quite ironic.
CAPTAIN HOWZER I am unable to find that name specifically, but I theorize its based off of "Howitzer", which is a firearm cannon There is a lot more clones, and I can't make a post of every one of them. But lemme know if you want me to find anyone else.

˜”°•.˜”°• headcanons about you and abby's wedding - modern au •°”˜.•°”˜
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
wc: 1.1k
warnings: wedding w modern au(obvs), crying, tooth rotting fluff, allusions to sex, no use of y/n
a/n: lmk what you guys think of this one and whether you'd like more of reader and Abby in this universe! don't hesitate to send any requests<33
this is sort of on theme with a previous fic where abby proposes to you, this one can be read as a standalone though:))
Tumblr media
❦ after the proposal, you guys hurrying too much to get the wedding off the road and on the rails- you're still extremely proud and giddy to call each other your fianceé, and you've sent about 100 pictures of your wedding ring to everyone.
❦ it isn't until one night where you're having dinner over at jerry's that he brings up the wedding preparations and you're like oh shit, you two kinda need to haul ass and start sending invites.
❦ you decided on a small affair, only your immediate families and close friends over. I imagine that in the insistence of your future brother in law Lev you sent out RSVP invitations that were ocean themed with cute little sharkies on the front that say in a vast ocean of people we found each other(💀). A lot of people found them pretty funny though, and Lev was pretty excited about them.
❦ on par with the beach theme of your engagement, you decided to have the wedding on a beautiful beach resort in the beginning of June-not too hot, not too cold;)-with the ceremony and the reception on the shore.
❦ of course, you couldn't leave out the bachelorette party! You and Abby travel to Vegas with your respective friend groups for a weekend of clubbing and partying in general. And lets be fr, someone from either of two groups ends up getting lost and you have to recover him Hangover style. Thank God you didn't arrange for it the day before the wedding.
❦ the days before the upcoming event are mostly a blur, both of you making last minute arrangements about the food, the flowers, the music. Your gown with the final adjustments is delivered and you have to hide it in a fridge box in the basement so Abby won't take a peek.
❦ "But baaabe, I just wanna see what it looks like! You know this stuff about bad luck isn't actually legit." "I know, but it will be more exciting to see the final look at the wedding. I promise you."
❦ finally the big day is here! And let me just say, as a very emotionally constipated person, you'd probably be a little teary eyed all day long. When you put on your gown and look at yourself in the mirror and realise that holy shit, I'm about to marry the love of my life, my Abigail, she wants to spend the rest of her life with me. And this just hits you all at once and a few tears run down your chin.
❦ if you have any wedding traditions from your culture that you'd like to honour, Abby would be 100% down for it. It makes her feel closer to you, and part of the new family she's going to be in. She also really likes listening to its origins and what it's supposed to represent. In my country, we do this thing where the wedding squad writes all their names down in the couples' shoes and by the end of the night whoever's name is the most smudged is the one who's going to get married first. Let's be real, if they did this, it'd probably Manny whose name had almost disappeared and he'd freak the fuck out.
❦ once you're ready to walk down the aisle, and you glance at Abby you let out a small ᵍᵃˢᵖ at the sight, with Abby dressed to the nines and a glowing expression on her beautiful face. Her mouth also formed a little O at the sight of you, ready to become her wife, looking so so happy and a slightly teary eyed.
❦ during the actual ceremony, you two keep stealing glances at each other, smiling kinda goofily like :]. You two are goobers fr.
❦ for the vows, I think the game establishes that Abby is a big bookworm, so she chooses something perhaps from Emily Bronte or Jane Austen. Of course this isn't the entirety of what she wrote, she just finds it more accurate to express her love for you through someone's else perfectly adept words.
❦ once the reception kicks in, you're carefully wiping tears from your eyes so you don't smudge your makeup, and take some photos with the wedding party on the beach. You're accepting everyone's congratulations for your newlywed status, and settling down to prepare for your first dance.
❦ you had decided on dancing to Por Una Gabeza, and had actually rehearsed the slow tango a couple times so your movements are synchronised. By the end of the dance, you're in each other's arms, cheek to cheek simply enjoying the moment.
❦ by the time you've finished you meal, the party is in full swing, and you join in for a few dances until you decide on a cake break and allow Yara to be Abby's dancing partner. By the way, your wedding cake? Exquisite, chocolate ice cream with strawberry.
❦ I also imagine you guys doing the whole tossing the bouquet thing and -surprise surprise!-it ends up on Manny's lap on accident. He almost leaves.
❦ by the night, you're both clinging to each other, ready to resume your lives as Mrs and Mrs, and also ready to break into the bridal bed. Seriously, you can feel Abby's fingers feeling up your thigh and she's been whispering the things she wants to do to you all night. By 2 in the morning you're home, very much exhausted by the preparations and the emotional high, but also very ready to let Abby peak what's under your bridal gown.
❦ for wedding gifts to each other? She hands you two tickets for some exotic island you guys always talked about going, and make it your honeymoon. You get her an antique vinyl record player, because she had always been going about getting something to listen music to while cooking. Needless to say you both love each other's gifts:D
❦ a week or so after the ceremony you receive the photographs, and Abby makes it her duty to hand them on every corner of the house. Seriously, at some point, you could see a photo of you two in your field of vision pretty much about everywhere.
❦ her favourite one remains in her desk, one where you two are about to leave, sweaty and drunk, the camera capturing your musky faces as you sit on her lap clinging for dear life. It's so sweet and endearing, and it reminds her why she married you in the first place.

Hello! Yet another headcanon ask, cause I've been loving the headcanons around Danny and Sam and what Danny consciously or unconsciously seeks out of a relationship and I crave m o r e.
What are your headcanons around what Manny wants or needs out a relationship? Also also, what would you say drew Manny to Danny the most and vise versa?
The tl;dr is that Manny fell first but Danny fell harder lol
I think that what Manny looks for in a relationship is someone that can keep up with him, someone that won't judge him for the decisions he makes, and someone that will stick by his side no matter what. That's why he 'dated' Frida for a whole year when they were high schoolers because their friendship technically fit the bill; it was just missing the romantic attraction part.
Growing up, Manny got a lot of love from the people around him. His mother, father, and grandpapi all showered him in it. Even when emotions run high and they fought with each other, things were usually resolved quickly and ended up with both sides explaining themselves. This also makes me believe that Manny developed a strong belief that it's healthy to get into arguments with the people you love because it shows you care enough to be open about your feelings with them.
However, on the flip side of that, I also headcanon that Manny will realize near the end of high school that his plan for the future doesn't necessarily match the vision his family has for him. It starts innocent enough, with Rodolfo making his usual comment about Manny being a full-time superhero in the future and Grandpapi auguring that Manny should be a full-time supervillain instead. This is nothing new, they have this argument all the time. But then something new gets added to the mix; Rodolfo throws a new hypothetical at Grandpapi, saying that once Manny gets married and has children, being a supervillain would just put his hypothetical family in danger. Grandpapi shoots back and says that villainy would pay much better, after all, "How do you think I was able to afford to build this entire house on top of an apartment complex???"
Manny just continues eating breakfast as usual, but this time the fight nags at the back of his mind. They both expect him to chose one side or the other eventually, but in all honesty, he doesn't want to. He doesn't feel torn up about it, like the original El Tigre did. In fact, he's extremely happy where he is, being able to indulge in whichever side of the hero/villain coin when he wants. But as time goes on and the argument between his dad and grandpapi repeats, he starts to feel more and more pressure to live up to their expectations. (Plus at this point in time I believe he's nearly graduated high school and already dated and broken up with Zoe/Black Cuervo and come to the realization that he's bisexual).
Any time that Manny tries to bring up the 'I don't want to chose.' argument with his dad and grandpapi, they would both wave off Manny's choice, saying that one day he'll have to pick like they did and being outright dismissive (not intentionally though, because the concept of it just still so foreign to them they can't wrap their heads around being both a hero and a villain) . This starts to reasonably frustrate Manny, since no matter how many times he explains himself, they won't see his side of the argument. It also starts to make Manny's anxiety simmer (which he inherited from his mother), because they're his family. They've always been by his side and even when they didn't agree, it never took long for them to talk things out. Why was it taking so long this time for them to understand him?
It would be around this time, that the OG Nicktoons Unite Gang would drop by Miracle City for the first time. Cross-Dimensional Villain of the week would be wreaking havoc in the city, so Manny and the Unite gang team up to take care of them. During the team up, I believe that Manny would instantly be drawn to Danny. Not in a romantic sense, but kinda in the "Holy shit he's so fucking cool, I have to be his friend at ALL COSTS." sense.
It's mostly in part because Danny reminds Manny so much of himself, yet seems so confident. They don't get much time to talk, but Manny's able to pick up that Danny's in a very similar situation; stuck between being a part of two conflicting worlds and constantly struggling to find balance between them. They actually click pretty much instantly with their banter during the brief team-up. So much so that it feels like they've known each other for years (Danny's sassy wit matches Manny's bravado and confidence in a playful way). That's why when the villain is subdued and everyone leaves, Manny doesn't feel the same sort of satisfaction he does when he takes down El Oso or The Mustache Mafia. In fact, he just let four super cool guys walk through a portal without any sort of hope or grantee he'd ever see them again.
There aren't a whole lot of superhero kids in Miracle City. The few that are around, Manny wouldn't really count as anything more than an acquaintance because there's always a disconnect between them (look at the Rising Son, who instantly turns on Manny the second that it's revealed Manny does a little bit of villainy). He's got a better rapport with the villains his age. Heck he even secretly hangs out with Django and a few others on occasion as civilians. However the villains give him even more flack than his grandpapi whenever he he starts leaning towards heroism, so he usually leaves their hangouts not feeling socially satisfied. Thankfully tho there seems to be a semi-regular occurrence of dimensional hopping supervillains - about once every two months - so Manny gets to see the Unite gang a handful of more times (the second time he sees them he instantly latches onto Timmy's arm and begs to get his contact information; he's much more suave about it by the time he gets around to asking everyone else, he just panicked upon noticing the pink hat and assumed they'd all leave as soon as the villain was caught.)
Near graduation when his anxiety is at it's peak, Manny will get a message from Jimmy, asking if Manny would be interested in joining the team more permanently. he instantly jumps at the opportunity (and then from there it's basically the plot of Desde el Principio lol).
Like I mentioned, I imagine that Manny didn't see Danny as anything more than a friend at first. Even though he personally acknowledged that Danny was handsome, Manny ignored that because he REALLY wanted to be friends with Danny. He constantly was engaging Danny in conversation (both irl and texting, once Manny officially joined the team). But since Manny doesn't really read social cues like everyone else, he didn't pick up that Danny was uncomfortable about discussing personal ghost stuff, so of course Manny continued to ask questions about it. It was all innocent of course (How does your green lazer thing work? How long can you stay invisible? Have you met any cool dead people?), and while the rest of the gang kinda tensed up when Manny started asking these questions (Danny included) it was surprisingly therapeutic for Danny to talk about this stuff.
Manny accepted all of Danny's answers at face value. If Danny lied about something and said, "I don't know." Manny would offer up his own suggestion (usually wrong) about how Danny's powers might work. Seeing how nonchalant Manny was about this stuff (Danny originally though that Manny might be weirded or freaked out) actually would make Danny lower his guard and start to be truthful about his halfa life. It's part of the reason why he fell for Manny in the first place, just because it became so easy to be around him. If he needed someone to talk to, something to be a nonsense-filter for the thoughts in his head, he knew Manny would never judge him for anything he might say. If he was having a really bad day and said he just wanted to sit around silently, Manny would hold him quietly until he felt better (or fell asleep).

Before I get started I should specify what the Piper James series is. It was first intended to be a satirical (not critical, necessarily) look at the hero and villain genre, that slowly delved into the deeper themes and effects of the plot on the characters and a look into the characters themselves. If I were to sum up the genre I'd say it's a "satire superhero (dark) comedy"? I don't know.
With that out of the way...
Piper James Episodes (And Episode Revisions) Part 1 - Season 1
The season that started it all. Lots of the episodes have either unclear or weird things about them, so a lot of them have been revised. Enjoy!
Episode One (Pilot) (Case: Shady-Spa/Case: Perfect-Picnic): "During a surprise break, Piper visits the spa Sandra picked up a job at, only for them both to realize it’s a trap by CHAOS/Piper wants a peaceful picnic “date” with Sandra, while an angry T20 tries to sabotage their plan using a giant...robot...ant."
Significance: This was the debut of Piper James. Otherwise, pretty boring.
Episode Two (Case: T20-is-Good?*/Case: Brooke-is-Broke-(Again)): T20 gets hit by a big book and begins acting like a regular person/Later, Brooke, the porcelain girl, gets hit by someone’s car, shatters, and needs help.
Revision: T20 was never a kind person, so acting like a regular person was more fitting.
Significance: This version foreshadows the change in T20’s personality.
Episode Three (Case: Carnival-Jester/Case: Mascot): Piper and the gang, while at an amusement park, encounter a crazy jester woman who was sent by CHAOS, but despises Piper for different reasons/Piper notices kids are turning into puppets after encountering the park’s mascot, Manny the Bug.
Significance: The first of the backstory drops comes from Satire the Jester.
Episode 4 (Case: Jones/Case: T20’s-Story): Piper discovers a journal belonging to Jones, the last member of the secret organization, and is inspired to start his own/Piper talks to T20 after finding him upset, and listening to his story about how he became a villain.
Significance: This is where the series takes a shift from the wackiness of the first few episodes.
Episode 5 (Case:-Shut/Case: Musical-Retelling): After Piper discovers something about him, T20 tries to shoot him with one of his inventions, but it backfires/Piper wakes up one day and sees everyone is singing, which soon pushes him to solve the problem.
Significance: It introduces T20’s habit of falling in love with tough women. Trixie is, however, older than him, so it isn’t really right. Maybe I could hint at his crush on Sandra instead? I'd have to change the ending, though.
Also, this is the last time the “Case: Episode/Episode” format is used.
Episode 6 (The Chaotic T20, Trixie, and Bea Episode): In the special, Piper finds an old photograph of someone who looks like T20. T20, upset that he found this, works on a device to separate him from his past, on the day Trixie’s best friend Bea plans to visit. To try and cheer T20 up, she disguises herself as Bea but finds there are multiple T20s in his room. Bea comes over to find Trixie dressed as her...chaos ensues.
Significance: Not only does it secretly reveal a new character, but it’s also the episode T20 realizes something is off about being a villain. Bonus, it’s the last time Trixie disguises.
Episode Seven (The Musical?): Piper James’ unfinished comic as a musical. Self explanatory.
Significance: I’m unsure about this one, as it was never finished. But it did point out inconsistencies in the original story. I don’t think it’s important to the main story, though.
Episode Eight (Villainz): Piper decides to join T20 and Trixie’s antics, so Sandra and Doug look for someone to fill his place. While Piper, T20, and Trixie make chaos (literally), the others meet Harold, who seems to know everything about everything...including CHAOS.
Significance: Seemingly starts T20’s development.
Revision: T20’s dad never went “missing”. He wasn’t even a part of it. Instead, having Harold know about CHAOS (and T20’s mom) is more fitting.
Episode 9 (Therapist): Piper tries to seek therapy from the old T20...he is very not helpful.
Significance: Foreshadows Peter’s hatred of T20?
Episode 10 (Little Scouts)*: Piper James and co go to a campsite, where a southern girl (Killer Whale) and some nerd (Sharkfin) were bored to kidnap them (for money).
Significance: None. This episode is...not that important. It is fun though.
Revision: T20’s mom is more likely to kidnap her son than actually kill him.
Episode 11 (Lovey-Dovers)*: A Cupid that has been hired tries to destroy “evidence” that T20 is finding about himself. Piper tries to intervene, but instead gets hit by a love arrow. In fact, everyone has been hit by one...besides Sandra. So she, Piper, and T20 must find a way to get the evidence back, and turn everyone back.
Revision: Similar to in episode five, T20 having a crush on Trixie is not good. It would, however, it’d be funny if T20 fell in love with his hero adversary Sandra. And Trixie’s now out of town, I guess.
Significance: More information about T20 is learned. Also, the Chaos Crystal is some Chaos BS.
Episode 12 (Mairy Jaine (Mary Jane))*: After being hired by You-Know-Who, Mary attempts to bring Piper and co down, but recognizes T20 and joins them instead. She reveals that she and T20 were old friends, but drifted apart. She also reveals she now has a villainous side to her too, Mairy. But is this really true?
Revision: The original episode was incredibly painful to dissect, so I made it more fitting for the both of them. Also, I'm thinking maybe Mairy simply exists as a villain persona of Mary as to try and impress T20? It makes sense.
Significance: Marissa’s first appearance. And, T20’s name is actually Tyler!
Episode 13 (Video Gamer (I forgot the name)*): You-Know-Who hires a video game developer named Kai to trap Piper and co in a video game, but the game is surprisingly horrific for T20...
Revision: In this version, the video game better resembles what happened to T20. Also, Ray is Kai’s younger brother, and is actually the one to save Piper and friends.
Significance: Secretly shows what happened to Tyler for the first time.
Episode 14 (In-Depth Look (MAJOR REVISION)): The gang works with Marissa to study more about what happened to Tyler (T20), but T20 gets kidnapped in the midst of it. So Piper and friends decide to take a nice walk in the park, when they realize that something about the city is starting to feel...off.
Revision: The Chaos Crystal doesn’t make much sense in the modern series, so it’s been dropped entirely. Also, Tyler getting kidnapped better transitions into the finale.
Significance: Last episode before the finale!
Episode 15 (Season One Finale): In the season one finale, T20’s mom (who had been the Frenchman this whole time?!?!) is making sure he has luxury (as a villain), explaining the changes in the city, when T20 just wants a regular life. Piper James takes the initiative to save him.
Significance: The finale. Also, T20 has a really epic monologue and pushes his mother off a [short] cliff.
This marks the first change in Tyler’s personality.
Piper James gets a little bit of development too?
That's all for part 1! I will link part 2 here when I finish it... let me know what you think so far!!! :)
Edit: PART 2!!!
Edit: tagging @papercutzo and @frayedcircus since they may possibly be interested! :)

Hi, so you do not have to publish your respond or answer at all 😉 But beside Five x Lila and Brienne x Jaime what other pairings do you ship? Much love 💜
Hi! 👋🏻
I don’t mind answering- the main thing I use tumblr for is appreciating and talking about ships that I love so it’s not an issue to answer this by any means :)
I haven’t watched a ton of new shows lately, mostly rewatching older favorites or watching new-to-me-but-not-new-this-year foreign tv shows. But I will put a few below (I liked the main couple in the foreign shows) and some of my older ships after that! 😊
Foreign TV shows (I don’t often find a lot of fanfic/ fan art for foreign TV shows comparatively but I loved these series):
-Love Between Fairy and Devil (cdrama)
-The Manny (Mexican TV show)
-Hidden Love (cdrama)
-Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (kdrama)
-Ever Night (cdrama)
-Love, Now (Taiwan drama)
-Tale of the Nine-Tailed (kdrama)
-Happiness (kdrama)
-Mischievous Kiss (jdrama)
-Boys Over Flowers (kdrama, but I like Ji Hoo/ Jan Di instead of the main couple of Joon Pyo/ Jan Di)
And several others, but those are the ones I remember at the moment.
Main ships from American and/ or western shows and movies (though I probably like others from the same franchise too):
-Marvel: Steve/ Peggy and Clint/ Natasha are my main ships. I really enjoy Bucky/ Sam too, but I haven’t ventured to them quite as much.
-Barney/ Robin from How I Met Your Mother
-Penelope and Colin from Bridgerton. Really liked Kate/ Anthony too.
-Carol/Daryl from The Walking Dead followed by Rick/ Michonne (admittedly I slowly lost interest in the series after Glenn died, & I think I mainly stopped watching after Carl died. But I love the ship still)
-Tony/ Ziva from NCIS
-Deeks/ Kensi from NCIS LA
-Rollins/ Carisi from SVU followed by Benson/ Barbara. (All 3 of which, NCIS/ NCIS LA/ SVU, I didn’t finish or don’t really keep up with regularly)
-Harry/ Hermione from Harry Potter
-Penny/ Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory (I probably stopped watching regularly after season 5 though)
-Chloe/ Oliver from Smallville
-Enola/ Tewksbury from Enola Holmes TV show
-Uncas/ Alice from Last of the Mohicans movie
-Casey/ Kevin from Split & Glass (they’re one of my more problematic ships, TBH)
Cartoons/ Anime/ Comics:
-Starfire/ Robin from 2003 Teen Titans cartoon & the 1980s comics & live action tv show, also known as Dick/ Kory followed by Beast Boy/ Raven (or Garfield/ Rachel)
-Bruce/ Selina (pretty much any Batman universe I’ve seen)
-Naruto/ Hinata from Naruto. Shikamaru and Temari are a secondary fav for me.
-Ichigo/Orihime from Bleach. I also like Renji/ Rukia.
-Toph/ Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender, but I prefer them as a post-original series couple. She’s too young for me to want them together during the show. Katara/ Aang.
Pretty much any of the studio Ghibli main characters, though there are still a few films I need to see…
Honorable mention to Lily/ Sebastian in the Love, Lies, & Hocus Pocus book series I’m currently reading…
There’s probably a ton of other ones (certainly there are more shows/ movies I love that I don’t necessarily have a ship for or that I just didn’t have a ship I went to fanfic for) but these were the ships I most remember from growing up and/or from reading fanfic/ fan art in the last 10 years or so…
What about you? What are some of your ships? I don’t suppose we have any other overlapping ships or shows, do we?
And much love right back at you! 🩵

Titan Luz AU - Titan Luz’s Design
I drew Titan Luz’s appearance throughout my Titan Luz AU.
Tumblr media
First we have Luz’s appearance when she first enters the Isles. Her fur is the same shade of purple as canon Titan Luz’s hair, and I thought it would be cute if her feet were a lighter color; originally, her eyes were going to be the same color as King’s, but then I decided that purple eyes fit her better; Luz has a scar on her left foot from being caught in a snare trap set by Jacob Hopkins. As Luz doesn’t have external ears in her real form, she ties those cords on her horns that translate into earrings when her disguise is active. Titan Luz is the same height as Canon Luz, for now.
After the AU’s version of ‘Knock, Knock, Knockin’ On Hooty’s Door’, Luz goes through a growth spurt that result in some changes in her appearance. The most obvious thing is that Luz grew wings; her sclera is now black and her pupils are now slitted, resembling Papa Titan’s eyes. Her horns grew longer and now resemble the ones Canon Titan Luz had. Her hands went from three-fingered to five-fingered, either Luz grew two extra fingers, or the ones she had splitted - either way, it was painful. You can’t see it because of her clothing, but Luz now has the bony outer ribs Canon Titan Luz has. Luz is now the same height as Canon Titan Luz, and this new height results in a new outfit as her previous clothes no longer fit.
Luz gains a small crack over her left eye during a confrontation with Belos. This crack echoes the scar Canon Luz received from Belos during their fight in the Season 2 finale.
Luz goes through another growth spurt during the timeskip and is now almost seven feet tall - she is taller than Eda; her shoulder are broader and she grew another pair of teeth in her skull; and she has a purple star sticker on her skull alluding to The Collector.
Luz’s growth slows down after her 18th birthday, so she won’t get any bigger for a long time.
Have you noticed than none of my Titan Luz designs wear pants that go all the way down to her feet? That design choice was because I felt it would be awkward to draw with the way Luz’s legs bend.
I used this concept art as a reference.
Here we have my designs for Luz’s own set of Glyphs:
Tumblr media
I headcanon that each Titan develops their Glyph language based on their personal experiences and the people in their lives. That is why King’s Light Glyph alludes to Luz’s Titan appearance, because he associated her with Light.
Light - Find something familiar about Luz’s Light Glyph? Well, this Glyph was, in fact, influenced by The Collector as they and Luz were playmates before Papa Titan imprisoned the Collector. That’s why the design of Luz’s Light Glyph include the sun and moon symbols that are on The Collector’s clothes.
Kind of ironic that The Collector influenced the design on a Titan’s Glyph when Titan Magic cancels The Collector’s magic.
Ice - Camilla influenced the design of Luz’s Ice Glyph. I just have this image in my mind of the Noceda family going ice skating and Camilla being very skilled at it while Manny can barely keep himself from slipping.
Plant - This Glyph was influenced by Manny giving Camilla and Luz flowers for their birthdays, and later Camilla and Luz’s tradition of giving each other flowers then visiting Manny’s grave.
Fire - Manny also influenced the design of Luz’s Fire Glyph as I headcanon that he was a firefighter.
Luz’s Glyphs share some similarities to the Canon Glyphs as they are also influenced by Papa Titan. Unlike King, Luz actually knew their father briefly, so her Glyphs reflect their connection.
Before sending her through Time and Space, Papa Titan gave Luz a medallion to protect her.
Tumblr media
This medallion was originally engraved with a sigil to hide Luz from the Celestials - the name I’m giving to The Collector/Archivists’ species. After The Collector was freed and their friendship with Luz rekindled, Luz changed the engraving to that of her Light Glyph.
Aside from hiding her from the Celestials, Luz’s medallion also serves as a more advanced version of a Concealment Stone, disguising Luz as a human.
I said it works as a more advanced Concealment Stone because the Illusion is solid, so the disguise doesn’t just look real, it feels real.
There is also some Dimensional Storage magic included to hide Luz’s horns and tail. Basically, Luz’s tail and horns (and later her wings) are ‘tucked’ into these ‘dimensional pockets’ whenever her disguise is activated. So, while the horns, tail and wings are still attached to Luz’s body, they don’t exist in the same ‘dimension’ as it (I hope that made sense).
Luz’s medallion creates her disguise by taking the features of the people that Luz views as parental figures. The disguise originally resembled Luz’s canon human appearance, but it later began to include features taken from Eda and Raine as Luz subconsciously considered them second parents.
Tumblr media
(I forgot to add the medallion, so just imagine it’s tucked into Luz’s shirt).
The changes were slow and gradual so no one really noticed them until the AU’s version of ‘Yesterday’s Lie’ when Luz first saw Vee-disguised-as-Luz and found her appearance unfamiliar.

What's the deal with these BNFs like JoLa and such lmao? Sorry I wasn't chronically online during GOT so I had no idea this was a thing until recently LOL.
Oh man, nonny, you are really taking me back. BNFs or “Big Name Fans” are one of the worst aspects of ASOIAF/GOT fandom in my humble opinion. I think the fact that there has been such large gaps in between books, a lot of fans are really desperate for content and thus BNFs are created to fill that need for new ASOIAF content, their word only being surpassed by George. Most BNFs have one or two good takes/theories that got them big and then are uniformally idiots in everything else they say, but the fandom takes them as gospel because they’ve been around so long or were right about one really important thing. A lot of the biggest of the BNFs originated on the westeros.org forums and actually interacted occasionally with George back when he still did stuff like that, and now are considered authorities on the series. The most successful BNFs are probably Elio and Linda who now actually work with George and co-wrote AWOIAF with him (and they’ve had their own very stupid drama that I cannot be bothered to remember. @starkmaiden probably remembers it though. She’s my go to fandom drama lorist)
A lot of the worst but most widely accepted theories can be traced back to a BNF, and since the books have been so slow in coming, these theories ended up just becoming part of the fabric of the fandom. It also doesn’t help that most BNFs are absolute divas that hate it when they end up being wrong or having pushback. I remember rolling my eyes at BryndenBFish who had particularly influential (but often very dumb) theories who I believe left the fandom in a huff and deleted all his stuff. The worst BNF fans in my opinions are the ones who made super long videos or podcasts about the most inane details (I’m taking specifically about Lucifermeanslightbringer here since I ended up listing to like ten hours of the Bloodstone Compendium trying desperately to understand why he was so popular)
On tumblr during GoT, most of the BNFs here were part of the asoiafuniversity account, (including the lovely JoLa) which branded itself as neutral but was decidedly not lol, and had particular drama with people who asserted the Dark Dany theory, which ended up being true, lol. I think they even straight up banned contributions that supported “Mad Dany” at one point. Most BNFs tend to be pro-jonerys, pro-Tyrion, pro-Dany, intensely into Targaryen history (and weirdly a lot of them were really into Stannis before he bit it. The Stannis the Mannis faction was crazy but also kinda fun lol) I’ve always been pro-Bran, pro-Catelyn, and pro-Sansa, so I never really got too into the BNFs, but I did accept that Tyrion, Jon, and Dany were the three heads of the dragons before I read ADWD because everyone else seemed to think that was the case.
And that to me is the biggest problem with BNFs, that a lot of them still espose theories and takes that they came up with before AFFC/ADWD were published and they refuse to budge even though there’s clearly been a shift. (This was before the show ended, which changed a lot of the fandom landscape)
(I also think that a lot of them couldn’t analyze their way out of a paper bag, but that seems to just be me lol. The POV trap is very real for most of these people.)
I’ve also noticed that a lot of BNFs are also Wheel of Time fans, and sometimes use that series to theorize about the end of ASOIAF, which is uh, a strategy I guess. (I know George likes it and all but I think the series have very different vibes, and George has listed series he was drawing on and I don’t think WoT was on that list. Somebody somewhere compiled it, and I think LoTR and The Dragonbone Chair were on it.)
The greatest hits of the BNFs in my opinion are that Tyrion, Jon and Dany are the three heads of the dragon and are going to save the world, which was widely accepted as the ending to the series, by pretty much everyone who was anyone. Season 8 killed that stone dead though, big lol from me. Some people still believe it though for some reason. Some three heads of the dragon propenents also believed it in conjunction with the “Tyrion is secretly a Targaryen” theory which has like one piece of actual evidence, that Aerys had a thing for Joanna, and the weight of Tyrion is Tywin’s son thematic narrative against it.
My favorite offshoot of the three heads of the dragon theory is the curtain of light one, which is simply *chef’s kiss* Basically the curtain of light that Bran sees at the edge of the world is entirely literally and in no way a metaphor, and Bran will have nothing to do with it. Instead, Jon and Dany are going to fuck in the curtain of light to save the world while Tyrion awkwardly watches, and the baby they conceive will be the messiah. AMAZING stuff right there. And because this brilliant take was thought up by a BNF, it actually gained a fair amount of traction.
Other highlights include screeching about the “Main Five” in which they only grudgingly include Bran in order to exclude Sansa from having any relevance to the big endgame, that Catelyn is an absolute bitch responsible for all evils in the world, that Tywin is the biggest mastermind in Westeros, that f!Aegon is definitely fake with no room to debate, Val will be plot relevant to Jon somehow (as his future Queen for those who aren’t super into Jon and Dany endgame), Stannis will take WF, Jaime is going to be redeemed, and Azhor Ahai is some eleborate metaphor for the nature of the universe.
Say what you will, but BNFs really did fill some of the content void while we all wait for TWOW but a lot of them were absolutely batshit and their insane takes were taken extremely seriously by most of the fandom. Some of them even did rounds at conventions I believe. There are some BNFs still around and kicking but a lot of them left permanently after the show ended, which fair enough. The meltdowns during s8 were spectacular and many. Almost makes up for how shitty the show’s writing was lol.
My pet BNF was JoLa, and I even had some civil interactions with her about non Jonsa metas, related to her one good contribution to the fandom, the Dead Ladies Club. She had some of the wildest takes about Dany despite her constantly claiming she wasn’t that invested in non-Lannister theories and ships.
The BNFs were a fascinating phenomenon that you really had to experience in real time to get the full breadth of insanity. The most crazy takes being taken as basically canon really made me feel like I was losing it, or straight up reading different books.

Tumblr media
A little bit of both, it is.
The thing younger Luz was digging for was a snake skin. Ah, sorry, I meant snake pajama. The other kids at the playground are kinda freaked out, and honestly? Same.
The kids’ parents watching are also grossed out, and honestly? I hate to say it, but same. But my opinion doesn't really matter, the important part is this: When the other parents talk ill of Luz, Camila immediately jumps in to defend her (and the parenting skills of wolves). We don’t see the reaction of the other parents.
Next, we see Luz’ during the Romeo & Juliet tryouts (which we saw in the very first episode of season one ((except the other kids’ faces are blurred this time))) but from the perspective of the audience. Camila finds Luz’ trick with the sausages funny and comments that her dad taught her that. But again, two other parents speaks ill of Luz’ antics. Camila turns around to, once again, defend her daughter. bUt just like before, we don’t see the results before we’re transported to the next scene.
We next find ourselves in the office of this imposing figure.
Hm… I’m gonna keep watching a little longer before I speak more, but I will say this:
Upon rewatching A Lying Witch and a Warden, it seems pretty clear to me that Camila was always very hesitant about sending Luz to camp. And I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy here is largely responsible for convincing her that camp was the right decision, regardless of what any rational thought or gut feeling might’ve told her.
Tumblr media
Alright, there’s some stuff to talk about here, but first… notice there, lower left corner? Garlic powder is crossed over. My garlic allergy headcanon is not completely dead yet.
So I was kinda right in that Big Red Guy was the one who at least gave Camila the idea of sending Luz to Reality Check Camp.
His voice sounded somewhat familiar. I don’t know the voice actor, so I could be way off, but he sounded a lot like Warden Wrath. Aside from both being framed as these large imposing figures, these two share another similarity. Recall what Warden Wrath was doing back in A Lying Witch and a Warden? Imprisoning people in the Conformitorium for being weird.
And what does Big Red Guy here do? He wants to send Luz to Reality Check Camp (once described as prison) to learn how to conform to an arbitrary standard of normal because she is weird.
Like I said, not sure if this is an intentional parallel, I could be wrong, but I thought it was interesting.
As far as the actual scene goes… Big Red Guy claims Luz’ antics are her way of acting out for attention caused by the grief of losing her father. Camila concurs that losing Manny was difficult for both of them, but that Luz has always done things differently, she’s always been an original. It might be of note that her defense of Luz is meeker here than in the two previous scenes, perhaps due to a perceived power imbalance: Camila was on the same levels as the other parents, but Big Red Guy here looms over her.
Regardless, Big Red Guy points out that Camila herself was bullied in high school and basically tells her that Luz is going to end up going through that same struggle as Camila did if something doesn’t change. And sadly, this was enough to convince Camila that what needed to change was Luz.
I feel like this was really scatterbrained. Not my best work. I know I said I wanted to see this, but that doesn’t mean I find it easy to talk about.
(sidenote: Big Red Guy’s comment about Luz bringing a snake to school means this likely takes place right before the meeting in the principal’s office we saw at the beginning of A Lying Witch and a Warden)
Tumblr media
On a brighter note, look at those cute photos! We got the classic one of Camila & Luz, which first appeared all the way back in A Lying Witch and a Warden, we got a new addition in the from of Camila & Vee. Also, a giraffe.
We also see Camila has a little spot dedicated to Manny, as well as more books on parenting, in particular on how to support LGBTQ+ kids. Because Camila is determined not to mess up (again).
Tumblr media
We also have what looks like the snake skin pajama Luz found as a kid. So that’s… nice? I do wonder how Vee would react to seeing that.
Anyways, what was that about a heartwarming moment between mother and daughter just now? I kinda zoned out for a moment.
Tumblr media
D’awww… this is sweeter than caramel.
It’s good that Luz got to hear that Camila is not mad and doesn’t hate her, she really needed to hear that. Now she just gotta hear it from her friends too and also accept it and we should be golden.
That will have to wait though, because this is where I’ll end thing off for today. It sure is nice to end this session off on a nice, wholesome, cosy note. I definitely did not watch a few seconds further and saw something super creepy. That’s something for Future Lampman to worry about.
Before I go, I’ll quickly go over some numbers. We are currently, roughly at 16:30 in this episode. I have taken 50 screenshots thus far and written a little under 7 400 words. You can see why this took… wait, how long did it take, lemme check when I started watching… THREE WEEKS AGO!?!? Bloody hell’s bells!
Whew. Let’s hope it doesn’t take five weeks to get through the rest of the episode, eh? We’ll see, we’ll see.
Until next time… take care of the planet Earth and remember that anything can happen in space!

Can you believe I'm sending you a Degrassi ask? I mean, I only send you like 12 a day, so try to contain your shock ;) 1. Choose 3-5 ships that weren't endgame but which you'd make endgame if you could (does Sellie make the cut?!) 2. Choose 3-5 ships that WERE endgame or at least implied endgame that you like the least 3. Pick three characters who you genuinely multiship, ie love two or more of their ships more or less equally (so, for example, I'd probably choose Maya as one of mine because the more I rewatch scenes the more I love zaya and camaya almost equally, just in different ways!) 4. Rank these female protags from your favorite to least favorite: Caitlin, Emma, Clare, Maya and Frankie (poor Frankie--I always forget about her!) 5. Pick just one favorite and LEAST favorite ship for each of these characters: Ashley, Paige, Emma (what is wrong with me that I ended up not liking any of her canon romances much?!), Jimmy, Spinner, Craig and Manny. Enjoy!
LMAO I love you
5 ships that I wanted to be endgame:
1.) Joey/Caitlin (I'm in the minority of fans who actually enjoyed the adult story lines during the early years. Even before I watched the original series. But it's so irritating that the two of them were needlessly broken up for Kevin Smith)
2.) Sean/Ellie (We've talked about this. Their relationship was so sweet and healthy and good for both of them. They deserved a happy ending)
3.) JT/Liberty (Again, they deserved a happy ending. The pregnancy ruined everything. Both JT and Liberty mishandled things and weren't getting proper guidance at the time. But they never fell out of love, and I 100% believe they would have ended up together had JT not died)
4.) Zoe/Grace (This just makes me angry. I'll always be bitter than the writers wouldn't just let them date. I never felt their eventual endgames were ever as genuine as what they shared with each other. I also struggle to buy that Grace liked men, but it is what it is)
5.) Craig/Ashley (Call it wishful thinking because Craig was such a mess, but I think he was always at his best with Ashley and that she was the only love interest he truly loved. I like to imagine that once Ashley finds her own independence and individual success and Craig gets copious amounts of therapy, they'll find each other again. If they haven't already TBH)
5 endgame couples (implied or otherwise) that I don't like:
1.) Eli/Clare (I won't subject you to another rant about them, so I'll just say I disagreed completely with giving those two a happy ending)
2.) Jake/Katie (I'm going to be completely honest. I didn't care about Katie's happiness, and I really liked Jake. It was that simple)
3.) Jonah/Grace (It felt forced to me, and I didn't like how Frankie was painted as being irrational and insecure for no reason only for Jonah to eventually admit he DID emotionally cheat on Frankie with Grace)
4.) Winston/Goldi (They were just kind of there. I don't have any feelings about them one way or another. It just felt tacked on. I feel like Winston needed the relationship more than Goldi did because the Next Class writers gave him so little to do)
5.) Jimmy/Trina (Again, they were just kind of there. We barely got to know her character, and it's odd that they randomly got engaged so quickly)
Three characters that I multiship almost equally:
1.) Drew Torres - Drew/Bianca & Drew/Clare (I wouldn't say exactly equally because I think Bianca complemented Drew better than anyone, but I also loved what Clare brought out in him. I'll always be sad they weren't given the chance to have something more)
2.) Spinner Mason - Spinner/Paige & Spinner/Darcy (I prefer Spinner with Paige, but I'm always torn every time I watch High Fidelity. Both dynamics are good for different reasons. Even though I ultimately think Spinner loved Paige more considering he was on the verge of picking her over Darcy, Darcy also accepted and loved him when he needed it most. She inspired better in him than Paige did. So basically, I'm torn over these two ships that were nowhere close to endgame)
3.) Sean Cameron - Sean/Ellie & Sean/Emma (Again, I have a preference. Sellie or bust. But if we're talking about seasons 1-4, it's closer. Had that triangle had the chance to play out with Sean never moving away, Semma could have been written better and it would have been a closer match for me)
Rank female protagonists in order:
1.) Maya Matlin (Obviously)
2.) Emma Nelson (It's actually super close and based on how I'm feeling today. It could be Clare tomorrow. Or even Caitlin. I just feel like even though I didn't love a lot of Emma's questionable writing in the middle years, she had so much variety in story lines. It's also the early TNG bias. I can't help it)
3.) Clare Edwards (Clare may have been a divisive character, but it's hard to deny she carried seasons 10-14. She was literally around for the entire era of 40+ episodes. She wasn't my personal favorite, but I still really liked her and what she brought to the show. She'd probably be higher if her love life didn't hold her back from experiencing more growth)
4.) Caitlin Ryan (Again, still close. She was great, and had a decent variety of story lines. But some of the TNG years stuff could be hit or miss. Kevin Smith? Jesse? The writers had it out for her for some reason)
5.) Frankie Hollingsworth (Her character was all over the place and mostly overshadowed by more interesting characters. To be honest, I think Frankie was pushed as the main girl because she was white. Not because she suited the role best or was the most interesting. The Hollingsworths got old towards the end)
Fave/least fave romances:
Ashley:
Favorite: Craig/Ashley
Least favorite: Can I choose Ashley/Alistair? If not, Jimmy/Ashley. They were never compatible, and their season 5 reunion wasn't believable or needed.
Paige:
Favorite: Spinner/Paige
Least favorite: Matt/Paige, because fuck her grooming, predatory teacher
Emma:
Favorite: Sean/Emma
Least favorite: Peter/Emma
Jimmy:
Favorite: Jimmy/Hazel, but I also liked his potential with Ellie
Least favorite: Jimmy/Ashley
Spinner:
Favorite: Spinner/Paige
Least favorite: Spinner/Manny
Craig:
Favorite: Craig/Ashley
Least favorite: Craig/Ellie. I don't care if they weren't technically canon. They were the worst.
Manny:
Favorite: Jay/Manny
Least favorite: Mick/Manny, honestly. But other than the two guys no one actually remembers, Spinner/Manny.

Some “Bleeding Rose” Universe Headcanon that for some reason I wanna voice right now….
Character headcanon and tidbits for my story:
Serial Designation - J
As I’ve mentioned before, she fell in love with V back in the manor when it was just the two
After N came around and caught V’s attention, J’s resentment of him developed, this being the reason she’s so hard on him most of the time
Awhile ago, Tessa asked her if she wanted to be recalled for Mentoring other Disassembly Rookies, but because of her lack of patience even in “parental mode”, that idea was thrown out
A little idea that may or may not be kept: J might not have been switched out of parental mode…
J was one of Tessa’s first to be saved, the scenario was she accidentally disrespected Tessa’s father and toddler Tessa visited her while chained up outside, beginning their bond
I do boat with the headcanon that J likes plushies
J is an absolute mess when V flirts with her, while trying to assert her authority, she just kinda stands there😂
Being that J’s the oldest, she was made squad leader, and later the Flock Alpha (Doggyverse stuff) Only answering to Tessa as her higher up and is incredibly loyal to her, which may or may not cause some problems, hhhhhhmmmmmmm-
Serial Designation - V
During their time in the manor, she did in fact have…some feeling towards J, but after spending more and more time with N, when she learned she what love was, $hit hit the fan(Thanks Cyn😒)
Originally, she used her Boss’s “affection” for her own benefits, later actually falling for her
The two were always seen together as unlike poor N, they had each other to combat loneliness
V had also had experience with mentoring rookies, quickly being pulled from the program for her disobedience and violent tendencies
Being that she can be pretty reckless, she’s always a bit embarrassed when J fusses over her, that (for now) being J’s only leverage over V
V is very weary of Tessa and her intentions, doesn’t fully trust her but still respect and registers her authority
V is the menace of society, B being called her spawn😂😈
Serial Designation - N
N is pretty good at finding things and scavenging, that’s basically the girls only use for him, sending him off to gather supplies
He also likes drawing, as seen in canon, collecting shiny things, and he’ll go nuts over them (All DD’s have a thing for shiny stuff, just J and V repress it significantly better then N)
He’ll gift shiny objects and drawings to Uzi on a regular( A sign of affection)
He’s definitely a bit more weary with his family around Tessa, not as much as V but still
Is basically the Manny of the flock
Once the kids are around(hint hint nudge nudge), he normally doesn’t go psycho unless to protect them
Like the girls, at some point he was used as a mentor and switched into parental mode, was actively never switched out, explaining his feelings and behavior towards B
B also kinda reminds him of Cyn
Miscellaneous Stuff
Uzi is only ever called to babysit if N isn’t available, J doesn’t trust her as far as she could throw her, which we learn is pretty far)
B tends to remind Tessa of Cyn, so she scares her a bit, especially with her V’s inherent aggression and certain events that happen (again, hint hint nudge nudge 🤐)
Thad and Lizzy are slated to be married(marked for angst, you’ll see and so God help me if they are in fact canonical related, Please forgive me🤢)
Don't worry, Dizzy is in fact and will be made canon in this series, just not for a while in universe….
Doll can’t see herself as part of the colony anymore in the future, ends up self exiling and wanders around
Uzi could care less for “J’s brat” but still is willing to take care of her and keep her safe
Khan gets better as a parental unit, just never with Uzi
Tessa knows B and V have some trust issues with her, but being that she still deeply cares for them and they respect her (to her face) she lets it slide
Disassembly Drones are slated to “Migrate” for newer territories and to later let the land heal
Being that SD-B can’t fly, she’s a fast runner and high jumper, which later becomes her fighting style
And for now I think that’s everything, definitely will be updated after bleeding rose ends but for now, goodbye

Note
per this, ⭐
I could take the easy way out and just list all the references I've put into my fics, but I think I'll talk about a particular moment that I've come back to almost a year after writing it.
Putting this under a cut because it's a bit longer and heavier than I intended.
As I mentioned in the notes for Chapter 4 of Camila Versus, the original draft of the chapter (and the fic as a whole) did not have the Park family helping out Camila and Vee. So, they would have been homeless for a much greater portion of the story.
What I didn't mention, since I don't usually like to talk about my personal troubles, was that around the time I started writing Camila Versus I suffered a loss in my family. To some degree, we had been expecting it, but I had been dealing with a lot of stuff in 2022 and it hit much harder than I thought it would.
I had been throwing myself into writing to distract myself for a while and that only made it worse.
The answer didn’t come right away, as Camila dove into her memories. She organized them, then reorganized them, then scattered them again. Finally, she thought she had them in a complete enough state to explain, without getting into the most stressful or traumatic parts.
I'll admit I haven't reread Camila Versus in a while, partly out of standard 'old shame disease', but also because I put so much of myself into it and I don't know if I'm able to fully face the things I was going through when I wrote it.
That said, I've come to realize that I had Camila fall into a pit of despair not unlike mine, but at the same time I also ended up giving her exactly the thing I needed.
“If… if we’re not a bother…” Camila said, her voice shaking. She helped Vee to her feet. “No worries, someone in need is never a bother. Please, come in.”
Following this chapter, the outline of the story was reworked to feature Willow more often, ending up with her driving a good portion of the story and letting her hang out with Vee a bunch. The outline for Chapter 16 and onward was mostly unaltered due to the change.
There were a few other moments that I may have put a lot of myself into, such as Hunter's breakdown in the ice cave and the Luz's last memory of Manny sequence.
...
Let's end this with something fun! Something NO ONE has noticed (to my knowledge). And since I doubt I'll get another chance to share this, let's go!
In Chapter 3, there are a pair of St. Epiderm students, one in bard red and another in healing blue, walking along the path to St. Epiderm during the cold open. Camila overhears them, leading to the events of that chapter.
Thirteen chapters later...
One particular couple, dressed in red and blue dresses with mutually complementing details, danced quietly, hand in hand in the corner of the gym.
It's a blink and you'll miss it cameo (hell, there's technically no direct evidence it's the same pair), but I really hoped someone would catch it. Like, I had been planning that since I wrote Ch3.

I'm curious, are you still into DuckTales? And were you also disappointed with the lack of character development with Gyro after 'Astro B.O.Y.D.' (including the lack of development of his relationship with Boyd and Fenton, as we barely know what their interactions look like)? What were you personally hoping for?
Hey there! Sorry I haven't been around much. Yes, I still love Ducktales! I've been a Disney Duck fan since I was a kid so that love isn't ever going away. I got the deluxe artbook just the other day, and I'm excited to eventually finish the Boyd and Gyro fic... it's just probably going to take awhile. It's a big story and I want to do a good job, telling it well :) But I did feel pretty let down by the end of the series, and the fandom has gotten pretty quiet… Not to mention I've gone through a lot of big life changes, so I haven't had as much time for writing fic or drawing fanart. Yeah I was disappointed by the lack of Boyd and Gyro after they had such a fantastic story in Astro Boyd, but I understand why we didn't get to see them any more - the crew was struggling to try and tie up all their loose ends with the short span of time they had left. But frankly I think they could have done a better job and used their time more wisely, and that some of the things they made episodes about were ideas that should have been in season 2 or 1.... But it is what it is. I think in a lot of ways they were phoning it in during season 3 and so there were some real stinker episodes as a result. I was really hoping to see Dr. Akita come back with FOWL, even if only as a silent cameo, but I knew deep in my heart that we wouldn't get that... Realistically Boyd's presence in the narrative should have been a game changer, he's a powerful ally for the McDuck family, and it would have been much more interesting to see FOWL develop a countermeasure for him, rather than just find the "funniest"way to nerf him in the finale lol. (The combat robot that destroyed a major world city has their head fall off in a plane crash but the flesh and blood children are all completely unharmed?) Hell, I would have accepted "Boyd was damaged in the fight during Tokyolk so we can't take him with us" or something like that, if they really wanted to write him out of the conflict. Or "Boyd jumps out of the plane to deal with the missiles and gets hurt in the process". If I had my way, I would have taken Launchpad's big hero moment and moved it to the Darkwing 2-parter episode, and I would have taken Manny's reveal and put it in the Halloween episode, and that would have improved both of those eps (which were also lacking IMO), and bam, now there's more time to allow Gyro, Fenton and Boyd to do things in the finale.
I know I would have liked to see Boyd helping Huey somehow... and it would have been nice to see Gyro asking Fenton for help and acknowledging his competence... Maybe instead of Launchpad wearing the Gizmosuit, Gyro getting to wear it (since it was originally for him), but then afterwards admitting that it's better if Fenton wears it... Stuff like that! Sorry if this got a bit long and rambly, but I hope it answers some of your questions!

So,
June is Filipino Heritage Month.
In Canada, where Filipinos have been among the most reliably numerous immigrants in the past few decades, the date was chosen to commemorate the country's Independence Day in 1898. That's when they freed themselves from hundreds of years of Spanish colonization.
If I'm being honest, I knew very little about the Philippines before I married my wife Kristina. When I was a teenager I sponsored a young Filipino boy named Nestor through an international charity, and when I was in the Yukon I wrote an article for the Whitehorse Star about the positive impact Filipino immigrants were having on the local economy. I also read a great novel by Alex Garland called The Tesseract that was set in Manila, but other than that I've been woefully ignorant about my family's origins.
Last year my father-in-law introduced me to Jo Koy, a Filipino stand up comic known for his racy, hyper-sexualized content. One of the most interesting things I learned from him is that there is a close kinship between Mexico and the Philippines, both in religious sensibilities (Catholic) and in basic culture. They're rebellious, hot-headed and considered "crazy" by their more conservative neighbours. He claimed this was due to them both being conquered by the Spanish, then rejecting some elements of their culture while embracing others. It makes for an interesting hodge-podge.
I was interested to learn, from a quick Google search, that the Philippines didn't truly become independent in 1898 — they spent another half century under American rule, only finally becoming free following the Second World War. When I teach Kris and Celista about the Philippines, it will be important for them to understand the devastatingly negative impact of colonization and why it's important to recognize the Indigenous culture that was suppressed and nearly wiped out, just like in Canada.
One of the most shocking elements of Filipino history was the introduction of "human zoos" which were open as recently as 1958 in places like New York City and London. It was there that racialized people from a variety of origins were kept in cages and gawked at by their western oppressors. In 1904, Americans displayed Filipino tribespeople in zoos like this during the Summer Olympics. Just another reminder that humans are sometimes disgusting to each other, and it really wasn't that long ago that deeply entrenched racism dictated the reality of many people's lives.
While my wife was growing up, she routinely experienced racism. Because she was half-Filipino and half-white, she didn't feel like she truly belonged in either category. A lot of attention was paid to her jet black hair, her sun-browned skin and ambiguous features. When people talk about white supremacy, this is what they mean: close attention to every difference, every physical detail of somebody's body, all scrutinized and held up against an Aryan ideal we haven't quite successfully shaken from our collective consciousness.
But there's also all the things I plan on teaching my kids about their heritage to give them pride in where they came from. They'll learn about the warrior Chief Lapu-Lapu, the Philippine Insurrection, and the villainous Rodrigo Duterte. They'll learn that the country is made up of seven thousand islands, with innumerable distinct cultures. And karaoke, I've learned, is extremely popular, just ask my mother-in-law! Also, once you start looking for them, there's plenty of Filipino celebrities who have achieved global success — including Vanessa Hudgens, Manny Pacquiao, Nicole Scherzinger and (my favourite) Bruno Mars.
One day Kristina and I will successfully take a trip to the Philippines, and I'm already stoked for the southeastern Asian sunshine. One of her relatives is a mayor (who was nearly assassinated!) and we have family scattered all throughout the islands, some of them in places without phone or Internet to connect them to the outside world. I can't wait to dive into the ocean, to see the tropical foliage and see firsthand the derelict weaponry abandoned there during World War Two.
I want the kids to walk those white sand beaches and know this country is part of their story, and always will be.
