Sonia and Komaeda getting along well enough to room together is so good honestly. Even if its mostly bc she takes no shit, Komaeda was still like the only person to stand up for her when Teruteru was trying to get frisky about her naiveté in the prologue/ch1.

I kind of suspect she was acting more unknowing than she really was then, to suit her role as a princess, but he had no way of knowing that then. Plus, if she was aware then, it might be easier for her to recognize the side of him that isn't all hope n murder? Since outside of the killing game he's pretty polite (if self effacing) and generally not down for creepy behavior.

If you've got any more thoughts on these two's interactions postgame, I'd love to hear.

I dont think it's perfect by any means (nothing on the ship is!) but its proooobably the best quick-solution scenario?

Obi wan suddenly, dramatically throws his robe down and yells into the skies: WHY IS EVERYONE IN THIS FREAKING GALAXY A KRIFFIN LUNATICK EVEN THE FORCE?! *sinking his shoulders sadly* why am i the only normal reasonable adult here? *sniff*

His robe then is picked up by a pair of gloved hands. Cody, picks it up and hands it to him then calmly crosses his arms behind his back.

Cody: Here you dropped this sir :) My name is marshall commander cody, i am assigned to you as your commander :)

Obi wan:

Obi *whisper*: a normal reasonable adult?!

Cody: oh thank the maker i didn't want to be so forward at our first meeting but yes oh finally A NORMAL PERSON. *leans in and whispers behind held out hand* these lunaticks here all all out of their minds aren't they?

Obi with teary eyes: YESSSS!

I will never make this because it would be for an audience of one (me) but ever since reading "If we Were Villains" (story about serious drama kids in college who perform shakespeare and deal with a murder) I have been entertaining the thought of a crack fic crossover with High School Musical The Musical The Series where the staff decides they will no longer put on shakespeare after the tragic accident that happened at Thanksgiving, because Shakespeare plays would only increase the tension and drama. So they hire Ms. Jen who decides their spring play will actually be High School Musical (which exists in the 90s in this universe) and it ruins the vibe so much that everyone gives up on being dark and mysterious because they're universally pissed at Ms Jen for making them learn choreoraphed basketball dancing.

#if we were villains is actually genuinely good and has actual literary worth and pulls from shakespeare in an intelligent meaningful way #but unfortunately all i can do is comedy so this is the only fan content i have to offer :(#THE THING IS iwwv is just hsmtmts if it hsmtmts was good and also they committed crimes #they utilize the same parallel of casting choices with real life drama which I love #umm so casting: Meredith would be Sharpay Obvi. I think it would be really funny if James was cast as Ryan bc they hate eachother and would #have to pretend to be siblings working together. And I think ashley tisdale and Lucas Gabreel actually didn't get along when filming #also i love the thought of Ms Jen looking at James and going “i know what you are”#HOWEVER it would be more interesting if james was Chad to Oliver's Troy (which is really just reversing their Romeo and Juliet moment)#bc chad is like nooo don't do theater... stick with me and do basketball... but it would be Coded Subtextually #Unfortunately Wren would be typecast as Gabriella and I don't think that would cause drama bc I don't believe James actually liked her!#I think it was comp het bc she was very sweet and nonthreatening as opposed to Meredith's big flirting energy so she would be a “safe” crus #lets lean into that actually. this gives Wren a chance to have a personality (bc I enjoy this book but it is not good at fleshing out women #So oliver and Wren spend more time together and kind of talk about James a little and Wren is like yeah James is very sweet #and I like him but it feels so hard to get him to feel comfortable with me... i guess he's just closed off and doesn't talk much #we also get to see more of her personality and interests maybe she's like I relate to gabriella because I also like to Read :) feminism #and oliver is like Hmm That Is Not My Experience With Him perhaps our bond is deeper and James does like me Hm #And then Meredith can flirt with him as Sharpay and James gets pissed and in character gets very intense about how Troy can't join THEATER #that's why he's upset and sad bc sharpay represents theater and only that reason and nothing else and he isn't in love with oliver At All #Alexander can be Ryan now since James is Chad (and he's also Gay) and Filippa can be Kenzie bc they're both queer coded #Anyway at rehearsal one day Meredith and James and Oliver are having their fighting over troy moment and then Meredith stops and is like #wait guys. This musical is so freaking stupid. why are we even doing this #and their mutual frustration at their art being turned into a farce is enough to bond them together and they're like #we need to focus on our REAL enemy: ms Jen #and then they hatch a scheme and it's probably like. They dump a bucket of fake blood on her at opening night a la carrie #and then put on their own rebellious production... it still has to be a musical because i like musicals #families with children are in the audience and they're like OK FOLKS! The concept of queerbaiting annoys me. I was told that it refers to a work of fiction pretending to cater to a queer audience but then pulling back from it to avoid alienating homophobes, which is an incredibly specific thing. But a lot of people seem to think that it instead means "any time there's any gay subtex, metaphor, or ambiguity" or "whenever something from 1995-2012 was being a normal amount of homophobic for the era."

#I've secondhand seen the way Sherlock...was.#And yeah that's very pointedly cruel to the audience.#But not everything is that aware of its following to point by point mock them for half an hour.#And I think people forget that for a period there was a unique combination of awareness of gay people and homophobia bad #and a severe need to avoid being perceived as gay (and sometimes homophobic) at the same time #while it was ALSO very acceptable to treat the existence of gay people and homophobia or discomfort with both as a joke #so that whole wink wink nudge nudge dance was a huge thing in some of the 90s and earlier 2000s #and sometimes by doing that people accidentally made it seem even more fucking gay.#Or on purpose. People also forget that yeah gay people could exist as a joke but they couldn't be casual protags or w/e.#It wasn't really done like that.#I think what it's really proof of is that the 90s/early 2000s is long enough ago that people have become illiterate to the cultural cues.#When comedians complain 'you cant make jokes anymore' sometimes this is the exact thing they're referring to.#Gay people being on TV or in books isn't some funny joke you make anymore. Just being gay or seen as gay isn't the punchline it used to be.#People are shitty about it still but it's in a different way now. Being gay isn't as much the big embarrassment it used to be.#Gay tv shows and books are a whole market now. And stuff like Sherlock or supernatural were made right in the middle of that shift.#It's the only way you could position a strategy like this. I don't know if that cultural moment really exists anymore.#Audience backlash is also more massive and in real time.#Now instead of mockery at the idea of idk Dr house md being gay conservatives would see it as a 'culture war' thing.#And non conservatives are more vocal and more liable to criticize. TV shows are seen as keepers of culture in ways they weren't before.#I don't know how to describe it exactly. I'm not an expert and I know I'm missing some pieces or things I wanted to point out.#But yeah I just think people kind of. Forgot how people treated gayness as some kind of cootie disease you had to say #You didn't have really hard all the time. People are still sort of like that but idk the language changed.#A lot of talk about homophobia and queerness is very pseudo-academic now. The distancing happens with different signifiers.#But. Yeah.#☠️#I also think queerbaiting requires a specific kind of intent as a marketing strategy.#Instead of the more likely 'well we have an unintended gay following now so I guess we can throw in some fanservice #the network would literally never allow us to do anything with it even if we wanted to though.'

#ted and beard ofc are reading each others minds #trent is shockingly good at it but only when he forgets to be self conscious #also see: he does both best and worst with ted (best when he's not being self conscious #worst when somehow the prompt gets too touchy or 'romantic' bc Crush Crush Crush Brain Panic)#(please the image of ted in character hugging him or something and trent just. red. brain crashed. no longer improving just frozen. barely #manages to recover and even then it was not subtle. unclear if ted is a) genuinely oblivious b) teasing him and thinks trent knows that #c) something else(??) )#roy is too stiff most of the time but if he gets really into it he gets REALLY into it.#best way to get this result is to involve phoebe or another child #higgins did community theater at some point and is the one teaching them all the games. beard also seems to have done intense research #but higgins is the one with EXPERIENCE #not that i think beard and ted couldn't have done an improv duo in college or something but in this scenario they did not #nate surprisingly is pretty good at it once he gets into it like it takes him a second but #then he's like. really getting into it and he's very quick on his feet #new way to go mad with power (affectionate): the rush you get when you make the perfect snap back comedic line/acting choice #also while trent is so good paired with so many of them i think he and nate would be a hilarious duo. they're SO funny.#they complement each other well and are both quick & clever #esp if it's about a mutual interest (although one of them taking the lead on something else like nate and music while the other plays off t #em is also good) but like #please i just had the iamge of them basically doing a bit where they're like. those mean old gay muppets in the theater?#like trent and nate improv duoing as some bitchy reviewers just going back and forth and it's so FAST and SO funny #beard records it and posts it somewhere and it goes viral.#god don't even get me started on the idea of some sort of official richmond social media/the gang posting random clips on social media #bc the ideas i have are so funny.#also largely trent centric but what do you want from me okay i'm just a little slut.

lays on the floor do you guys ever think about how in ResF Bulma falls for Vegeta's fake-out with Freeza and both she and Yamcha are worried about Vegeta's villain fake-out strategy in Champa and Beerus' mini tournament and how it's only been a couple of years since the Buu saga and how Vegeta straight up stopped using that strategy after that tournament

#i do #do you think he noticed it upset her twice in a row and was like 'oh I haven't earned the trust back yet i'll retire this strat'#'it's fun to scare people but i do not like my wife being scared we can put this one up on the shelf for emergencies only'#because like bulma can consciously trust him and I'm sure she does but one can still have The Fear if you've seen your spouse relapse befor #And he probably thinks it's very amusing but it is also almost certainly very not funny for her no matter how much she trusts him #and the next arc is Trunks and she's so worried about the way he left she ignored the PDA rules and squished him when she saw him alive #Because Geets determination can be self destructive when it comes to Bulma and Trunks and he killed himself to protect them once before #and knowing how connected they've been for so long some part of her probably Knew he would opt to stay behind and die like he was going to #And I love the idea that between those two events and all of the things Trunks tells him about Bulma during the GB arc Geets has to really #really be confronted with how loved he is -- and it's not that he wasn't aware before but knowing she even missed him at his worst #and loved him maybe even before she was pregnant -- means the cruel part of his mind can't make excuses for why she stayed with him #I also like to think that being confronted with the idea that Bulma is still scared for him getting his worst wires tripped #wouldn't be offensive to him. Knowing he's still got work to do if his wife is worried about those things happening to him again #is just proof that she loves him with his flaws and was still thinking about it and supporting his recovery when he didn't #even notice he was recovering -- which has always been true of her -- and now he has the chance to support her recovery in return #and being in a place where he can still put that work in to make her feel secure in his priorities is a privilege and a gift #and man I just really like how casually comfortably close they are in Super's manga I love them a lot they worked so hard #to make each other feel safe and secure for the past decade+ that it's Easy for them both now and they're SUCH a confident couple #and I am once again shaking the anime by the shoulders WHY didn't you give us that they are SO the team's Mom and Dad in the manga #until Goku riles Vegeta up -- then Piccolo is the team Dad. the fact that almost every character in ofmd is specifically a gay man is seriously so fucking special like usually a show will have 1 character from a minority group and then that character has to be every single thing - a person the straight/homophobic audience can accept and even like, someone that deals with their issues the way they "should" be dealt with, someone who's not too much of anything but simultaneously everything because every expected trait has to be displayed at some point or another.... versus this show with its massive cast of characters who are all able to embody specific (and extremely varying) ways to be a gay man where all of their journeys and personalities and approaches to their sexualities are so unique to them but so true to people that exist in real life........ i wish i could express this better coz it's such an incredible thing to see it genuinely makes my chest hurt with how much it means to me
