-Would make all sorts of alarming potions and elixirs to prevent you from feeling drowsy- for the most part they don’t work because he doesn't really know how to make things without lethal side effects (and does not want you to DIE)

he is very conflicted with his feeling about this, he can't lie, the more he hangs around you, gets used to your personality, he doesn't know exactly what to do, he hasn't really felt any romantic attraction towards anyone since he came in from the real world, but something about you caught his attention, the others point out how weird he acts when they mention you, or better yet, when you're around, he's less... well, himself! after some time he kind of treats you a bit different from everyone else, he doesn't realize it but everyone spots it big time! he isn't as rude with you as he is towards everyone else, he might even give you a cheesy little nickname depending on what you are or what you look like (if you're shorter than him he might just call you shorty or tiny, if you're taller he'll probably call you skyscraper or giant.)

courage of stars, ch1 | writer’s commentary

Hello and welcome to the writer's commentary for courage of stars, chapter 1! I'm so excited to talk about this fic and share some background information with you, and I hope you will enjoy this journey as well!

Just a bit of housekeeping, the chapter-by-chapter commentary will go less into the symbolism/motif/narrative commentary (saving that for the end of the fic!). It's more here to get into some of the history and/or cultural tidbits, since both lend itself in both the form of Easter eggs to being pretty integral to the plot. I love getting to write Link Click fic because I get to tap into parts of me that I don't always get to do in other fandoms, so I am really excited to get into this!

As a note: I am neither a historian nor native-born Chinese. I have had the privilege of being raised in the culture and the anecdotes of modern Chinese history, but I feel it necessary to comment that this is not going to boast as 100% historically or culturally accurate, and so I encourage you that if something about the story piques your curiosity about real life events or culture or history, go ahead and read up on it! That being said, my depictions of history are based a lot of anecdotes or personal history, and I typically am not exaggerating.

In this universe, I've made both Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang at least half Cantonese (because I write fic for ME). Cantonese is a different dialect than what they typically speak in the show, which is Mandarin. Only Ouyang Bubei is seen speaking Cantonese in Link Click. Cantonese is not mutually intelligible with Mandarin--that is, a native Mandarin speaker is not going to understand someone speaking Cantonese unless they already know and are familiar with the language. The fact that Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang made no mention of having difficulty understanding Ouyang Bubei when he spoke exclusively in Cantonese made me jump onto the headcanon that they both grew up with the language.

Cantonese is considered an older language than Mandarin, or at least it is closer to what classic Chinese sounded like than Mandarin, which may have Mongol/Manchurian roots. It also is said to be more difficult to learn for a non-native speaker. Mandarin has 4 tones, while Cantonese has 9. So for Cheng Xiaoshi, who hasn't been speaking it for a while, he has to mess around with 5 extra tones while trying to impersonate this native speaker. Good luck to him!

"We may have another Chinese Nobel Prize winner for physics, right here in this apartment!” said another. “Your name will go down in history like Yang Chenning–you will make China move forward, maybe even surpass our neighbors. During the CR, education more or less came to a standstill. Depending on when and where you were born within China, your high school education would have been very much delayed, and there were certain subjects where you would have severely been lacking. After the CR was put to an end, the country realised that they were very much lagging behind in STEM compared to their competitor countries, particularly in physics, chemistry, and mathematics. So there was a period right after the CR where those subjects were emphasized and highly encouraged--the shu li hua (数理化) priority that Lu Guang mentions later. It means Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, which China at that time considered the most important subjects for their academics to learn in order to propel China forward into progress and advancement, to catch up (and hopefully surpass) their neighboring countries.

Yang Chenning and Tsung-Dao Lee are two physicists of Chinese descent who had won Nobel Prizes for their contributions to physics in 1957. They eventually became lauded as role models for Chinese students of physics, when the sciences were more emphasized in studies. Yang had even come to China to help build science programs in the country after it had been more or less torn down during the CR.

Sun Yihan stood respectfully as Professor Lu passed him. Professor Lu gave him a small bow of the head, his eyes soft with sadness like a bruised fruit.

“Sun zi,” he said. “So the rumors are true. You really have returned to Peidi."

Sun Yihan smiled primly.

“I hope that isn’t too disappointing,” he said.

“Disappointing isn’t the word I would use,” said Professor Lu. “I am glad, but selfishly so.”

To study shu li hua was considered the best way to propel China forward, but there are some caveats to it. Studying physics alone, or studying mathematics alone, is a lot about calculations and theories. In order to use them for practicality, you need to apply things like engineering to it, which wasn't always offered (but one could pick it up along the way). Studying shu li hua was considered a way to more easily leave China and study elsewhere, for those who were ambitious and hoped for better opportunities.

Also, you will notice throughout the story that Sun Yihan (孙遗憾) will be called all sorts of names in this fic (Also, his 'Yihan' is differently written from the name of that one actor from the Link Click musical, or at least I assume so else I will feel bad for him lol). Professor Lu is calling him Sun zi, or 孙仔. The zi (仔) is like a little moniker that you call someone young, or like your kid/nephew/etc. Or even like your little pet. There's an affection to it, generally, and an indication that they are younger or smaller than you.

“And he used to dig clay to make bricks like the rest of us,” Sun Yihan said. “It seems that all those months spent in the countryside taught him quite little.”

So while one didn't have conventional school during the CR, there was still some kind of 'school' for the young people. That usually entailed sending them to the countryside to work one or several months with the farmers, the laborers, etc. For some people, that meant making clay bricks. You would live out in the countryside with these rural families to learn and appreciate their work, since the rural laborers were most uplifted during this time.

I'll leave the first section alone, for now.

The third section is a reference to the freedom swimmers. When the Party took over China, those who wanted to escape to Hong Kong for freedom or to escape persecution would have had an extremely difficult time going to Hong Kong. For many of them, they would attempt to swim across the sea to reach Hong Kong, which was at the time a British colony and therefore not affected by the new regime. Many of those swimmers did not make it--drowned, or in some cases attacked by sharks--but there were some who miraculously swam and swam and made it to Hong Kong to a new life. I want to say this wave happened in the 60s or 70s.

I try to be as accurate as possible with height looking at height comparisons, screenshots and work done by others he's 10 feet <305 cm> so around ToTK Ganondorf but because of him being a demon I'll say his endowments are bigger. Feel free to superimpose your own views onto his cock but I know people will ask specifics as they did for Ganondorf. Even though I technically didn't give them exact specifics only general since I want people to be able to project their preferences onto it.

Demise can be 25.4-30.48cm <10-12 inches> or even bigger as a treat. Causal reminder that the human anus has a 7-7.5 inch stretch compacity (for girth) and Demise definitely leans on the bigger size.

I haven’t done one of these in a while! Even if you haven’t read the fic this is for, there’s a free headcanon for you in this post!

I’ve had this headcanon for a long time. Like, before I even started publishing Splatoon fics. The idea is that in the Splatlands, people are given names by different groups instead of having a single name that they introduce themselves by. The name can be many different things depending on the group. For example, your family would give you a more name-sounding name, while your school might give you a name based on what you’re studying. The closest thing they have to “standard” names are names based on notable skills or physical features.

This style of naming is very common in the Splatland deserts, but pretty uncommon in the city of Splatsville (though common enough that government forms and such try to have more concrete ways of determining identity.) It’s not a big deal to reveal your other names to a unit, but it’s weird and a bit invasive to use those other names for someone. In the desert, only wealthy and important people are given names at birth* that are used throughout their lives, regardless of unit. These are known as “common names,” as mentioned in the fic. Neo, in this fic, is pretty ignorant of city culture, and he assumes everyone uses the naming conventions he’s familiar with.

*In that one line, when Neo says he doesn’t have a common name, I really wanted to make a minor change, but decided it would mess up the flow a bit too much. I wanted to say “as soon as they hatch” instead of “as soon as they’re born,” but I couldn’t. Since the fic is already about cultural differences, I wanted the familiar parts to stay familiar. It’s less accurate, but saying “born” is more natural and familiar to the (presumably) human readers.

I tried some different characterization for Captain and Neo here. The most obvious part is that Captain is mute. I actually wanted to do that with my consistent series of fics, but I didn’t for some reason, and it would be quite the retcon to change it now. There was no reason to mention it in the fic, but they became mute after the events of Octo Expansion, which is why they haven’t learned much sign language yet. I gave them a sillier personality than I usually would, partly to be the opposite of Neo’s personality. Speaking of, I made Neo blunt and borderline rude, but kind of in the way you’d expect a fourteen year old to be (no offense to any fourteen year olds reading this—it’s a rough age to be.) He tries his best to be polite, but he happens to spend most of the fic being pissed off, so we get more of his rudeness showing.

Going back to Captain, I treated their lack of speaking the same way I treat dialogue. My personal writing style is to keep dialogue tags and actions to a maximum of one sentence per line of dialogue, and with no period at the end, unless it’s leading to more dialogue. That may sound confusing written down. Just re-read the first two lines of dialogue, then Neo’s first line in the fic and it should hopefully be clear. Anyways, since Captain didn’t have words in their dialogue, I only used dialogue tags. This was very intentional; just because there are no words doesn’t mean it isn’t dialogue in some way. I typically don’t do that for silent communication—at least not on purpose—but it seemed appropriate for a mute character.

This is one of my favorite and most well-developed Splatoon headcanons. Unfortunately, I don’t tend to add in-depth headcanons like this to my fics. It’s difficult to seamlessly explain a headcanon without it becoming the focus of the fic for at least a few lines. However, I did consider it when thinking of a non-agent name for Neo in my consistent series (which I haven’t revealed yet!)

I'm searching a few ideas to characterize a Dutchman who migrated to the United States in 1933 and accidentally found a job in Hollywood (the current year being 1941 - this man just had his breakout role). He has a story pretty similar to Lorre's and his persona is largely inspired by his role in "The Mask of Dimitrios". Do you have, by chance, any interesting suggestion?

Sorry I made you wait! Ooh this is a tough one. So you're talking about a professor van Leyden type?

It really depends on what exactly you're looking for or what you want to tell. If you're looking for a reason a Dutch person may find themselves in the US, it might be for a number of reasons - from the more familiar (star-struck, wanting to make it big in pictures) to the mundane (set up a farm in Iowa, immigrating to avoid tax collection and/or debts) to the spicy (political dissident - anticolonialist fighting against Dutch occupation of Indonesia).

If you're looking for a 'typical' background of a Dutch person similar to Lorre's character for Van Leyden, there's a lot you can do. Cornelis*/Cornelius may live in Amsterdam, but wouldn't come from there originally, as many Dutch people tend to move from the countryside to the city (literally, from the East of the country to the West of the country, which is where the more urban areas are) to develop themselves, look for more intellectual pursuits and/or opportunities, etc. My personal headcanon for van Leyden has always been that he was born somewhere near Amersfoort from German-Jewish immigrant parents and he moved to the slightly more tolerant city of Amsterdam to escape the oppressive black stocking-wearing Calvinist communities back home.

If you want to know the broad strokes of what defines a Dutch person and makes them different from an Englishman or a German person, a rough stereotype you could use to build off on or contrast your character to: We're a tiny country not just in how much physical square meters we have (three hours travel is long for a Dutch person!) but also in attitudes. I say this as a Dutchman myself: there's a very provincial/country bumpkin way of being that gives a lot of Dutch people a weird naiveté and bluntness compared to their European counterparts. There's the classic 'you don't get to be the boss of me!' that you find a lot with Dutch people - it's not that we're so anti-authoritarian (we do still have a monarchy, for example) but there's a huge distaste for formal and external displays of status in favour for more subtle displays. Also Dutch people are like German people in the sense that we're very protocol driven and we want to do everything 'by the book' - there's a strong sense of 'we all agreed to do it this way, so there's no use in doing it differently' and a lot of Dutch people I know can genuinely get very upset when other people don't do it in the specific way they think is 'correct'.

A person like Cornelius van Leyden probably would be a bit of an odd duck in Dutch society. Which is why he's living in Amsterdam! That city used to be (and still is, in my opinion, but way too expensive now) one of the few cities where there was a more lax way of being in comparison to the rest of the country. A lot of Dutch stereotypes non-Dutch people have come from there! In comparison to Amsterdam the rest of the country is much more strict and less open (with the exception of The Hague, but I come from there so I'm biased). We have a sort of division of the country where there's the 'randstad' (Edge City - Amsterdam, Leiden, The Hague, Rotterdam, and Utrecht - a very urbanised area where most of the wealth and finances used to be historically, and where more open attitudes used to flourish) and everywhere else (generally referred to as 'The East', 'the provinces', or 'the countryside' - all of which aren't very accurate names, but most Dutch people will know that you're referring to anyone who isn't from the Randstad)

for characters, i dont really mind writing for anyone, it's just that i cant gaurantee they'll be entirely accurate since they might not be a character i often think about or they might a character im not interested. So, uh, I'll write any character from the fandom list i've mentioned but your mileage may vary since i might not be really familiar with said character.

On Subjects/Topics/Themes of requests, hmmm i'm accepting of most things but not the super problematic ones like non-con or incest. if someone requested me to write BDSM though i'd like for them to specify what kind since i dont really engage in that kinda stuff. I find it...meh, no offense to BDSM enjoyers of course, it's just not my cup of tea beyond tying or light spanking, BDSM is just a thing im not really that interested in. I dont find it disgusting or harmful, just not for me is all im trying to say.

As for character limits? Ah, i have none currently but uh if the characters are more than 5 then yeah, definitely less headcanons. Also depends on the character's personality/complexity and the nature of the request, like if it's NSFW or SFW or Fluff or has specific stuff attached to it (like let's say an asker wanted a Saber x Male Reader who's also mute. idk how to write that properly uwaa). Alpheratz finds it a little overwhelming sometimes how quickly you are able to change your mind. You have such strong opinions but you can change them so easily when you are proven wrong, he considers this your superpower. He loves watching you follow your hobbies and losing yourself in the activity, but he may not try it himself. When you ask him for his opinion about one of your ideas/works, he will be constructive though and it may hurt. But this is not his intention! He will try his best to point out what he liked the most from then on, and only briefly mention: "I think X could have been more in the background."

Arcturus: If anyone has the power to make the world a more moral place, it is the two of you. You are the definition of idealistic peace. Both of you have a strong need to help and please others, and you compliment each other's attempts. While he often lacks a proper plan, you are able to make one. And he prevents you from overworking yourself on the changes you bring. You inspire strangers who manage to only catch a glimpse of you, because that id what you two radiate.

Pollux: This man will call you a less strict version of Spica. He never gets tired of your opinions and listening, and your speeches will infect him to help you out. Not always, because it does depend on your ideas, but most of the time. If the environment is something you work to protect, he takes it to heart and will use waste-free products as much as possible. No more plastic packaging in hid snacks. If you are passionate about helping unfortunate people, he will help you volunteer at shelters sometimes. He has been banned from animal shelters for trying to adopt all of the animals and crying when it was not allowed, but he will bring you there and pick you up if you ask!

Sirius: Both of you are picky when it comes to trusting people, or letting them be involved in your life. This will make you develope extremely slowly, where neither of you are sure what it is between you. He has trouble remaining sincere, which may be upsetting to your honest nature. It can be a rocky road, but he tries to hold you close. Even if not physical, he offers enriching conversations to keep your mind filled.

Spica: This man enjoys offering support in countless ways. Usually through planning and organizing. Since you are an advocate, your opinions matter a lot to him, but if they seem unrealistic, he is not afraid of saying so. It is easy to find a compromise between your opinion and reality though, if you two keep talking about it. What becomes dangerous for you two is the fact that you tend to overwork yourselves and you need to find a plan on avoiding this. Ironically, you two remind each other of taking a break more than you remind yourself.

Vega: Romance with him can be hard as an advocate, as he is quick to state his opinion without filters. This may sound harmful sometimes, and he attempts to be as kind with his words as possible. It takes him too long to realize how painful it can be on you. Both of you want the world to become a better place, but in different ways, which makes it hard to talk about. Yet, your positive way of thinking helps him warm up and his pessimistic view helps you determine a better reality.

PSA: Whitewashing In Fandom

As we all know, Rainbow and Winx Club have an extensive history of whitewashing characters, especially Aisha and Flora. While the fandom is good at calling out Rainbow's racism, we've noticed that within fandom spaces it doesn't get as much attention as it should.

This post will have a collection of character's skin tones and hair textures to help creators. We'll also be sharing a couple of tips to help combat whitewashing and racism from fans. Please remember that racism is a very serious issue and this post is only an attempt to limit the amount that comes from the fandom. This is not a call out post or something to stir drama. However, if you do feel offended by this post, examine that and don't direct your energy toward us.

Skin

The following graph depicts the Winx Club's usual skin tones in varying media. When creating content such as art, edits, etc we recommend sticking to the tones in the first row (aka S1-S3) as those are the most accurate. They are slightly lightened in S5 onward so I would avoid those. The comics will have varying tones depending on artist and quality of the scan so while they can be good references, you can't always rely on them. World of Winx, season 8, and the movies should be avoided at all costs as they are the worst offenders of whitewashing.

Hair

Whitewashing comes in all kinds of forms, not just lightening skin tone. One common way to whitewash characters of color, is to give them hair types typically associated with white people, especially when their natural hair isn't like that. This becomes more common the curlier the hair. To understand how to not do this, first you need to know what type of hair the Winx Club members have.

Type 1 ranges from 1A (bone straight) to 1C (straight with a slight wave). Type 2 hair ranges from a beachy wave to loose curls, and tends to hold a curl longer than type 1 hair. Type 3 hair brings us fully into the land of the curl, ranging from looser to tighter ringlets. Type 4 hair ranges from a tight ringlet to a kinky, coily texture. I would highly recommend looking up real life examples of each hair type to fully understand them!

In canon, the Winx Club have less diverse hair types and most of them are around the same. Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, and Tecna are all depicted with mostly straight, yet occasionally wavy hair. For them, anything within the Type 1 to Type 2A range (depending on the character) could work. Likely, the only difference between them will be the thickness of their hair. (Again this is in canon! Obviously, headcanons and redesigns will be different.)

Aisha's hair type is a little harder to pin because it changes so often, however there are a couple of clues to help us out. Aisha is usually drawn with very big, loose curls, so you could make the case that she has something like 2C hair. However, because of how voluminous her hair is, how well it holds shape, and the occasional updos she has, I suspect it's within the Type 3 to Type 4 range. When it comes to creating content with Aisha, try to at least not give her extremely straight hair, as this is a form of whitewashing. Regardless of which hair type you go for, keep it out of Type 1 to Type 2 as that wouldn't be representative of her natural hair type.

Tips

Here are some tips for the road!

-If you see whitewashing, call it out! You can always try to be nice about it, but don't ignore it. In fact, always be on the lookout for whitewashing as it happens all the time.

-For artists, editors, and other visual content creators, do not use an excuse for why your content is whitewashed if it is. No one cares what filters/psds you used or what reference you picked from. If what you created is whitewashed, take responsibility for it (and try to rectify the mistake).

-Please remember, there are other forms of racism within the fandom! You may not always recognize it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Listen to fans of color, do not speak over us, and do not try to excuse anyone who could be doing something wrong. Educate yourself as much as you can. We're not asking you to be political advocates, just decent human beings.

-When coloring Aisha and other black characters, please do not make their skin red. When coloring Indigenous characters, please do not make their skin red. When coloring Musa and other Asian characters, please do not make their skin yellow.

This is not a comprehensive list. There are things we left out. The main takeaway here is that fandom racism is insidious and often times fans don't notice it. We do a good job at calling out Rainbow, but we need to do a better job at calling out fans. Again, this isn't a witch hunt post, just a very general reminder that fans are capable of doing the exact same things that Rainbow does and more. And anyone who creates content or is active in the fandom should try to do their part in avoiding it and calling it out when applicable.

Hopefully, this post helps people when creating content for the main Winx Club characters. We hope that by providing these reminders and tools, the fandom will be more mindful and careful of what they're creating and reblogging. There is no good excuse for whitewashing and we hope this post can help diminish what we see on a daily basis.

Also, I don’t necessary thing it’s not worth giving it a go. You never know when one idea might really resonate with people. It truly depends I think, but for me personally, my most popular fic (not F1, but in a book fandom) is one that undoubtedly creates an intense emotional reaction, because it’s heavy on the angst side, even though it does have a happy ending. Whereas more fluffy or cutesy fics, no matter how much I may love them myself, tend to not have a similar reaction, although it highly depends on other tropes or AUs used as well. If it’s more niche, well the reaction will be smaller.

I personally really love you writing style, your prose is beautiful and it really showcases your literature studies background. I would 100% read something like this if you do decide to do it, and I do think it has potential to be a popular fic.

I have been writing fanfiction since 2004, I think 🤔 My current AO3 account is my fifth fanfiction author account. The other ones are currently irrelevant as I lost my interest in the fandoms i used to write for under them. But to this day, I haven't figured out what makes some fics highly popular in its fandom and what makes some others disappear on the sidelines even though they are way better in a lot of ways. I am mostly writing angst, too. But my ship has lost its popularity and thus nobody knows my works other than my friends and a few dedicated and persistent people.

That aside, my interpretations of these drivers' personalities mostly do not align with the popular "headcanons" i am seeing in other people's works. That's why I think it would be a waste of time on my part to try to undertake a big writing project again.

☕️Ciel isn't the best nor is he the worst to have with his darling having ADHD. He doesn't hate you for it, he knows you can't do anything against it since it's not your fault. You were just born with it and there's nothing you could have done. So he does try to be as understanding and patient with you as possible. But keep in mind that Ciel can get rather easily annoyed if his buttons are pushed the right way. So I feel like if he realizes that he's near his limit, he would somewhat push you away and let Sebastian or the other servants deal with you. This might hurt your feelings, but Ciel is actually frightened that he'll say something hurtful to you and for that leaves you. Would later on apologize and try to make it up to you. He himself isn't very familiar with ADHD, but is a smart boy and has his demon butler with him.

☕If you should tend to lose motivation and focus quickly, lose your things and don't seem to listen too someone when being talked to then you actually don't have to worry too much. Because Sebastian and the servants will do anything for you, meaning you don't have to worry about being forced to do cores. You losing things can of course annoy Ciel, especially if they were expensive or he needed them himself. Luckily his butler finds them always quickly. He would grow definitely a lot more controlling over his s/o because they keep forgetting things, leading him to scheduling out their whole day from the moment they wake up to the moment they go back to bed. Ciel also tries to not make you focus on something too long since you lose quickly interest. It's agitating in a way for him since he hates it when he gets the feeling that you don't pay attention to him, but he reminds himself that you can't do anything against it.

☕If you should be the more hyperactive one, Ciel will definitely have to leave you very often alone. Ciel isn't good with very energetic and loud people since he's constantly surrounded by such persons. He really does extend his string of patience a lot with you, but he feels kind of insulted whenever you suddenly blurt in when he's talking. Also nearly goes crazy whenever you can't sit still for a minute somewhere, tapping your feet and playing with your fingers. Your hyperactivity exhausts him and the only reason he puts up with it without lashing out on you is because you can't do anything against it and because he loves you. Hates leaving you alone because he's afraid that you'll climb up somewhere or touch some weapons or things which might hurt you. So whilst it makes him tick off, he will have you stick near him very often and if he needs to calm down, he'll order Sebastian to watch over you since that guy's the most capable of handling you.

☕Reputation is important for Ciel and as arrogant this may sound, feel like he wouldn't tell many people about you since he doesn't want to be judged for being in love with someone many nobles would describe as 'unsuitable'. He can gladly pass on the whole 'You-could-have-chosen-better' talk. A less selfish reason is that he is due to the way you are incredibly overprotective of you. Next to being a bit embarassed, he understands that you would probably not want to hear others talking trash about you. He lives in a very difficult time where people were more judging than they might be today. This openmindness wasn't as present as today and behavior was especially under people from higher society very important. Ciel knows that and it leads him to shielding you from the outside world.

☕I feel like the people in the manor are all really open-minded and would accept you open-heartedly which will lift a bit weight from Ciel's shoulders. Sebastian has infinite patience and Bardroy, Tanaka, Mey-Rin and Finny just really like his darling. It gives Ciel the feeling that he can trust and rely on them and whilst he definitely keeps a sharp eye on the human servants since they tend to be more clumsy which might end in an accident. After Sebastian Tanaka might be the most trusted, that is if he is in his real form. This gives Ciel a sense of ease because when he hurt you unintended, he knows he can count on them to be there for you and comfort you. Mey-Rin, Finny, Bardroy and Tanaka will over time grow just as their master overprotective over you.

Shaiapouf

🎻Here we have to keep in mind that Shaiapouf changed his type and behavior for his darling. I think during the first time when he was a stricter Yandere, he had a harder time dealing with this. Because back then it was all about perfection for Shaiapouf and this was somewhat of a flaw his darling had. After reading a whole day books about it, he did get that his s/o didn't choose to be this way, but it led him to being a bit harsh on them neverthless. When he reached the point of total adoration and devotion, that changed of course and all of a sudden, his view on all of this changed. It wasn't any longer a flaw, it was a unique trait his royalty had and Shaiapouf swore to himself to treat them like a loyal servant should.

🎻During the first stage he definitely tended to be very controlling, probably even forcing you into doing things even when you lost focus and/or motivation. At that time Shaiapouf just had very high expectations for you and you just happened to go against his perfect and ideal picture he had in mind. He forced you to educate yourself better, he forced you into learning the violin or another instrument, all because this perfect image of you was stuck in his head. And he scolded you every time he noticed that you stopped doing it once again. It was definitely not an easy time. So when he entered his worshipper mode it is most likely a huge relief for his darling. Because now he doesn't care about all of this anymore, the only thing he is focused on is protecting his king/queen and keep them happy. Now he doesn't lash out when you lose your things or seem to not listen to him. He's past total devotion and infatuation and due to his never-ending amount of patience with you a lot easier to be with. You don't have to move a finger anymore because he insists on doing anything for you now.

🎻The stricter version of him also wouldn't tolerate it if you should be too energetic, keep interrupting him or can't sit still without somehow move your limps or even do indecent things. He always tries to keep in mind that it's somewhat of a sickness, but for him it was then all about manners and good behavior and so he did try to forcefully change your way of being, always scolding you and trying to teach you how to act properly. For a worshipper Shaiapouf this is a no-go and even thinking back on how he even dared to think that he had the authority to try to change his already and always perfect majesty has him devastatedly sobbing. HOW DARE HE?! Now he honestly doesn't care anymore when you interrupt him, constantly act energetic or even scream at him in excitement. He's obsessive and due to that tends to focus really intensely on your behavior, he's beyond relieved that he didn't damage you with his previous way of acting. His majesty shouldn't change because of him. The only thing that makes him badly paranoid is when you act a bit too reckless which might end with you getting hurt. This makes Shaiapouf always fly panicked to you, preventing you from doing whatever you were about to do and try to coax you into doing something where he knows you won't get hurt.

🎻He used to somewhat degrade you and make you feel bad about yourself before too, inveighing constantly that you should and could do better if you would just try a bit harder. It has him going on a crying rampage later on because even thinking about how he used to say those words at you and not caring when you looked hurt at him inflicts an unbelievable amount of pain onto him. If he should ever even think that you still resent him for it, you have him kneeling in front of you whilst sobbing and begging for forgiveness even though he knows he doesn't deserve it. That's the exact reason he is even more anxious of ever letting you under humans again. He's frightened that they will not only kill you, but also talk down to you because of your ADHD. It gives him nasty heart attacks all the time and if he should ever find out that there was someone in your old hometown that bullied you because of this, he will remove named disgrace shortly after because it makes him absolutely furious when he hears that someone didn't respects and worships you the way he does. Blames also himself for not making you feel worthy enough if you yourself should think lowly of yourself.

🎻You all can probably guess it, but after becoming a worshipper, it will become a lot more easier for the s/o to endure life a bit better with Shaiapouf because now he doesn't see their ADHD as a flaw anymore, but as a special trait that has to be adored and protected. He will do now about anything and everything for you. Shaiapouf is in this case even more dependent on your approval because he's horrified of how unworthy he used to treat you and misreads things constantly, instantly blaming it on how he used to be. It can be as much as you reacting a bit too late to him because you weren't focused and then you already have him crying. He's still a lot to deal with, but it's better for your mental health to not be discriminated for your ADHD anymore and being told that you could do better.

Meruem

👑Just like Pouf, he had a change in his overall behavior which needs to be looked over. Let's just say that at first he was totally terrifying with dealing and accepting it. Different from Pouf he's the type to blame you for this even if you really couldn't do anything about it. It's a dangerous gamble in here because he used to expect total obedience and behavior from you and annoying him or going against his wishes ended with him hurting and scaring you on a daily base. After he had his transformation to a slightly better Yandere, he became totally fascinated with this, suddenly being interested a lot more about ADHD and informing himself properly.

👑It won't go well if you don't stay focused whilst he is doing something with you or he gets the impression that you don't listen when he's talking to you. It ends with him talking terribly down to you, pocking cruel fun at you for being so stubborn, dumb and weak and can even end with him hurting you physically when he's had enough. Later on he would be still somewhat grumpy and annoyed whenever you forget things or lose focus and don't listen to him. But now he came to the terms of accepting that this isn't your fault to start with and for that won't lash out on you anymore. He just checks on you and makes sure that you don't forget to look after your own health.

👑Being loud and interrupting others because you can't wait for your turn might be even worse than being unfocused and forgetful in here. Meruem is a king, you have to treat him like one and obey him. And being all impatient, not letting him finish his sentences and even yelling at him is such a huge sign of disrespect that Meruem used to think that you are either out of your mind or have a death wish. It ended so often with you crying afterwards, either because he had terrorized you or really hurt you. That changed of course later on, he still was somewhat annoyed by all of this, but now he just tends to clamp a hand over your mouth when he realizes that you're about to suddenly start speaking again. He doesn't like being interrupted. He proves to have more tolerance with you constantly being hyped up and even expects his royal guards, execept Pouf, to be ready to troll around with you when you seem too energetic. 👑He honestly used to be the worst when it came to talking bad to you and about you. He called you weak, pathetic, useless and many other things. He just thought that you should be grateful for him to even keep you since you were a sore for his eyes to see. But he also saw himself at that time as the only one who was allowed to talk like this, ending in him killing everyone who did the same. He owned you and only he had the right to do this to you. That changed after he softened up. Now he kills everyone who talks bad about you because he cares and I believe Shaiapouf might just really get himself killed because he simply does not see you as a worthy partner for his king.

👑Neferpitou and Youpi adore you and whilst Meruem is on alert whenever they are near you, it's nothing compared to hen Pouf is with you in the room. Meruem will never, NEVER, trust this guy when he's near you. The only person he really trusts you around is Komugi, since he cares about her as well and since Komugi never judges you to begin with. He feels sorry if he should have left any sort of trauma on you because he used to try to really break you so you would finally behave. That makes him really careful when he's now acting around you because he's somewhat worried he'll break you if he isn't gentle enough with you.

Hanji/Hange Zoë

🔬Hanji is someone who doesn't care about this at all. They're incredibly open-minded with everything and tend to be very special and peculiar in their own sense. Similar to their fascination with Titans, they will suddenly become to an unhealthy extent curious about ADHD, staying up nights to read books and maybe even ask people who know someone who has this disorder. It adds oddly up to their obsession they have with you and whenever you do something that is connected to this, they get scarily interested about it. Their interest about ADHD would go because of their darling from zero to thousand in only a short amount of time.

🔬Hange doesn't mind it that much if you don't really pay attention to things even though it can be a bit embarassing from time to time since they tend to start rambling exitedly about things only to realize a lot more later that you stopped listening ages ago. But Hange isn't someone who gets discouraged very easily and won't blame you for it. They are very lenient when it comes to you forgetting things, since they are a bit like you in that matter, even though they only forget things which aren't important for them. Also shows a lot of tolerance when you keep forgetting to do your cores or just lose motivation in it. They are also on the messier and forgetful side when it comes to taking care of themself. But what counts for them, doesn't count for you so the moment they thing you start lacking to look after your own health or the conditions you live in because of your laziness become too extreme, they will step in and help you with cleaning up. Whilst trying to keep you as motivated for as long as possible, they won't be angry or disappointed if they have to do it alone because you lost motivation.

🔬If you should show symptoms of hyperactivity and too much enthusiasm and excitement, you're a match made in heaven for Hanji, even though Levi tends to call you two a match made in hell because now he has to endure two of you. But honestly, Hanji shows a lot of similarities in this case. They can be really thrilled and driven by an invisible motor as well, not to mention that if they're too excited about something, they tend to cut people off before they finished speaking as well. But they do know when to stay quiet or become more serious whilst you don't, but it isn't like Hanji gets ever annoyed or angry with you. They find it even quite endearing since you remind them so much of themself. For the most part they will let you be, even though definitely stopping you when realizing that you're about to get too reckless. I can see them as even being the type of person who will be all excited with you together and do stupid things together. Not only because they just really enjoy being silly together, but also to look after you.

🔬They're not surprisingly very much angered whenever someone makes a wrong comment about their darling's way of acting around. Hange knows that people tend to get annoyed with heir darling and even see them as a nuisance. And that makes them mad. They really have no tolerance for such people who think they can judge someone without even knowing how they feel. And it's their darling we're talking about after all which makes them even more furious. Even Levi has to be a bit more careful. Hange definitely shows a lot more patience with him, Erwin and people they're close too, but even here they can become eerily quiet the moment someone says something too extreme or they notice that you're hurt. Whilst not caring what other people, except their darling, think about them, they care very much when it comes to whether people think bad about their s/o or not. Especially if you should feel insecure they would be a lot more on alert.

🔬Hanji's acceptance is a good thing to have since they don't judge you or get annoyed with you being like you are. They want you to be yourself after all. They don't baby you like many others, but it does lead to them becoming a bit more clingy, especially if you're the hyperactive type. If you don't live together with them, they always pop up very often to check if they have to help you a bit or not. Also has this odd quirk of making notes about your behavior because at this point it's safe to say that they reached the point of unhealthy obsessiveness, everything you do is being absobered by them. It's a bit unhinging to witness, but it makes it easier for Hanji to deal with your behavior even better since they know at some point what to expect and how to counter if it might endanger you. One thing, you're not going to be scout under any means because Hanji totally fears that either you'll lose focus or get too overxcited, and not in a good way.

Levi Ackerman

⚔️At the beginning it might be a bit more hard for Levi to adjust to all of this. Given the fact that he's obsessive and collects rapidly informations about you, he'll find out about this very early on, talking to neighbours, your friends and other people you're familiar with. And of course he'll start informing himself about all of this, but he has just a short string of patience and is easy to annoy. He knows he really can't let his ire out on you since you can't do anything about it, but sometimes your behavior just really tugs on his nerves since he isn't the best with people who are either unfocused or too active for their own good. So similar to Ciel at the beginning he might distance himself out of fear to say something too harsh to you. He doesn't want to scare you.

⚔️Levi would step in a lot into your private life if you should keep forgetting to clean up a lot and lose daily things. Neglecting hygiene, tidiness and maybe even your own health is such a huge red cross for him. He would be definitely a lot more controlling than usual and come over everyday to check on you and the condition your house is in. And if he thinks it isn't cleaned up? Guess who's staying for a bit longer to wash and scrub, doing your laundry and organizing your things? He might even try due to that to speed things up to get you to move in with him quicker so he can really make sure that you will never forget about such important things again. I can funnily see him as someone who won't be as mad as some people might think he would be. He's of course pissed that you either forget to look after the house and you or just lack motivation, but it gets attenuated due to him knowing that you don't do it because you're really lazy or because you aren't interested in it. He will still try to push you into at least helping a bit, but he can and will play the role of the housewife. Prefers it maybe even that way since he gets things done like he wants too.

⚔️With a more pumped up darling he will have troubles at first. It isn't like he isn't used to such people, he knows quite a few of those. But with his s/o this is just a bit of a different story since he really tries to avoid being harsh or mean to them which he would have been normally with those kind of persons. He might seek some advice from Hange since he knows that he is not the best when it comes to being patient. He might even let you spend time with them when he gets a bit overwhelmed with your energy since despite being annoyed with them most of the time, Levi trusts them. He would be gone for a bit to collect his thoughts before coming back with his emotions having calmed down. Will with time however learn how to deal with you being all bubbly and hyped. But he also will definitely watch over you more carefully since due to your too active personality you tend to do things that might be dangerous. It's one of the reasons he often gets mad at Hanji when he has to leave you alone. They are willing to do such things with you which triggers his overprotective side a lot.

⚔️Disrespectful brats aren't tolerated from him in all scenarios. But when it comes to disrespecting his darling, his reaction is definitely the most intense one. Whilst Levi admits that he himself struggles sometimes and finds himself annoyed by this, he would never insult you on purpose and if he does he apologizes later on. There's of course a difference between just pointing something out or really being mean with the intention to be. Levi can tell which is which and will act accordingly. He doesn't say anything if someone just points something out with the intention of wanting to be friendly since he's like this as well. But if someone insults you or pokes fun at you that's a different story in which Levi will shove someone's face into the dirt with demanding an apology. Would be a bit nagging when you seem to get discouraged very easily, complaining that you're too sensitive, but would still be in the end always comfort you when you're down.

⚔️Will literally not let you do anything dangerous since he's worried you'll lose focus and hurt yourself because you aren't careful enough. If you should even mention that you want to be a scout or anything like this, you'll have him instantly being over you and ordering you to stop thinking such a ridiculous thing. Levi tends to overthink everything a bit due to you having ADHD. Hange is probably the person he's the most calm around when with you since he knows that they are the last person who would judge you and from all persons he knows, he just has the most trust in them even though he tends to give them a rather long and harsh lecture whenever they tried something stupid with you.

The most determined will either be Azul or Malleus. Why? Because they had nothing.

Azul was alone, striving for perfection on his own, using what he had to take more and more, and still more because it was never enough and then you came along with genuine praise despite seeing him as his worst, how could you even think he wouldn’t come after you? He’ll take everyone’s magic if it means having you again. It doesn’t really matter if you hate him, he’ll become your perfect partner so you’ll have to give in eventually. Especially if he manages to use your own mind against you.

As for Malleus, well, considering how you are his first dear friend outside of his caretaker and guards, how could he not treasure you? He covets you. You are truly one of a kind for treating him like... like... like just another person. Not one of the strongest mages in Twisted Wonderland nor a crown prince, he’s just Malleus to you. With all the power at his fingertips, surely there is nothing that can stand in his way to reach you again.

While Azul and Malleus are probably tied for first, extremely close seconds are Riddle, Vil, and Kalim. They are very much a group with the ideology that if there’s a will, there’s a way. They just don’t have the same... desperation that Azul and Malleus have.

Well, actually, in Kalim’s case, you could say he’s a little ahead of the others in the second place pack. He’s not used to being denied anything. The fact that you’re in another world isn’t going to really stop him. It’s not exactly right of him, but if he throws enough money at a problem, then he’ll surely get his way eventually.

While the rules dictate every part of Riddle's life, he's learned that sometimes, a little flexibility helps. And well, if worlds aren't meant to be traveled, then surely the mirror wouldn't be showing you still. Clearly, it's an indication that the rules need to be updated here.

To Vil, hard work is all he needs and it's not like he has to find you. He just has to remove whatever's blocking his path to you and that is much more manageable than changing people's view of him as a villain. It's something he can track the progress of easily. Maybe it'll take him years, but slow and steady will produce results eventually.

It's not that this last group loves you less or desire you any less than the others, but Leona, Lilia, and Professor Crewel are more accepting of the fact that they might not be able to reach you. That doesn't mean they won't try. But they've also accepted the possibility that they might not get you.

Leona's gotten used to not getting what he wants. But there is a possibility that he could get you back in his arms. Or he could go to your world. He's not too picky. All he has to do is destroy a pesky blockage.

Compared to Malleus who he's probably helping, Lilia is quite calm. Finding the entire situation more entertaining than anything else as he takes care of Malleus while he finds a way to get you back. Or make a way. Lilia knows he doesn't need to do anything with Malleus so desperate to hold you again.

It's not like Professor Crewel doesn't want to see his favorite puppy again. But as an adult, he's had people come in and out of his life so he's accepting of the fact that you've left. That doesn't mean he won't make a few attempts to reach you.

The thing with Idia is... he doesn't have much faith in your desire to be around him again. After all, you went home. He would hate to force you to leave it. But he does miss you. He'll try because everyone else is, but he honestly might sabotage them all instead.

What I'm getting at is that he wouldn't care in the slightest if the present he got from his s/o was ugly. He'll notice the ugliness of course but there won't be a single trace of disgust on his face, only tenderness. He'll wear it if it's clothes, use it if it's something that's supposed to be used, keep it if it's some kind of souvenir (he would prefer more or less useful things though). If someone says something rude about the present and/or his significant other, the punishment might range from mild tongue lashing to a violent beating depending on the tone of voice used and the things said.

Ben Park

The king ang god of all simps. No-one simps quite as hard as Big Ben. Wdym the present is ugly??? Where ugly??? He can't see it, cuz it's just so cute!!! Wears/uses it proudly. People can laugh at him, but he's just so proud of his s/o and that they got him a present he has no care for the fools. Everyone is getting used to it fast, and the next time you give him something ugly-cute no-one reacts. But he's gonna get you similar presents, y'know? They are going to ride the edge between the cute and the ugly, and he's gonna be very embarrassing about the whole thing.

Alex would love to be more like Ben but... he can't. He knows how most people view him - someone weak, dependent, little more than Ben's minion. Doesn't matter that it's not the truth, it's how he's viewed, how people treat him, and it's bound to affect how they treat his s/o. So when the s/o gives him the present, he simultaneously feels happy, sad, insecure, guilty. He knows it's important to them, so he'll use it - just not all that often. Will quietly blame himself for being a coward. But once he gets more confident (mostly in his fighting skills but overall too)? He's never gonna part with this present.

Gerard doesn't care. Period. I mean, man sleeps on school desks and in the bushes. He cares very little for random people's opinions. And people who are not random won't be assholes to him about the thing. So, if it's usable he'll use it, and if it's wearable he'll wear it. Won't be as over the top about the whole thing as Ben or as aggressive to commentators as some other people. Very chill.

You can see him cringe. Won't find it in himself to reject you outright seeing the hopeful expression on your face but as soon as he's out of your sight he'll stash it in some hard to reach place and hope you'll forget. Please be merciful and forget! But if you ask him why he doesn't use it and act disheartened... He'll brace himself and start using the thing. His cheeks are red for days. He's very sensitive to laughs and comments, so everyone who does that and some people who don't but he thinks they do are going down. His friend group may be partly exempt from the punishment - but more because they're too strong than because they're his friends.

Uses it trying not to show how embarrassed he is. 'It's popular af in Australia dude. I tell you, Korea just haven't caught up yet, but it'll be a huge thing in a year or so'. Manages to convince half Eunjangs to use/wear the same thing. Everyone else thinks it's just weird Eunjang shit, cuz Eunjang is such a shithole.

A single raised eyebrow. Depending on the particular type of ugliness he can either be rather amused or not amused at all. Not a chance he's going to wear/use it in public, he cares too much about his image. Can be persuaded to keep in his office desk though... But if someone, except for Kingsley, somehow saw him with the thing, he'd act totally unbothered and start to actually use it as often as he can. It's the new cool now. Every Union member and even people outside the Union get themselves similar things and Donald can and will lord over them the fact that his thing is a gift from his s/o and thus immensely more valuable, but most Union guys are probably incapable of getting themselves a significant other.

Jake Ji

Jake knows the present is ugly and lowkey doesn't want it because he's got taste. Depending on the type of ugly will either keep it at home and use it there or actually make it a part of his style. Not embarrassed exactly but... He's got an aesthetic going, y'know? Gotta keep up!

Wolf doesn't care about the cuteness nor the the ugliness. What the present actually has to conform to is his particular style or maybe his senses. He'll actually be glad when someone laughs at him or makes a stupid comment giving him a reason to beat them up. Might just thank his s/o.

I'm writing them as a poly now cuz Jimmy alone manages to annoy tf out of me and I bet my ass he'd affect his s/o or even Jack's more or less the same... Neither of them are thrilled. Tf if this thing? Are you kidding them? Jimmy can actually say that, Jack will be a little more considerate (or maybe just colder). Laughs super loudly. 'Fuck, it's so fucking ugly!' You may be anxious or disheartened for a moment, but he doesn't mean anything bad by this. He'll wear/use the thing, and every time someone says 'dude, tf is that ugly thing?' he'll be like 'Ikr? So fucking ugly! Love that shit!' He's thrilled. Will love it if you give him something else like this.

Now that's a bad idea. Grape is rather vain, so distasteful things are really not up his alley. Will look at the present with disgust and refuse to use it. If you're super sad about it or continue to pester him, he might give in... for a moment. To be completely honest, he was slightly thrown off when he met you. He never met someone with Tourettes, and wasn’t insanely familiar with it- especially coprolalia.

After you explained what it was, he’d nod, unsure what to say. “That’s… something I’ve never heard of.” He told you honestly, resting his head on his hand. Yet, he didn’t think any less of you than he thought of anyone else.

Once the two of you got closer, he thought it was cool to learn more about Tourettes. After a while, he likes to think that he has a pretty decent grasp on it, and feels rather proud of himself.

When the two of you become closer, he occasionally will openly laugh at some of your tics. He doesn’t mean anything rude by it, and will tell you he wasn’t laughing at you. If you brush it off, telling him that it was okay, he’d be a bit more comfortable when you said something particularly funny.

At some point, if he hears you tell someone to fuck off, he’ll snort every time. He’ll look over at you, a hand by his mouth as he says, “You tell them, (Y/N).” Tell him to fuck off, and he pretends to be offended- of course, he isn’t actually hurt, he’s just obliged to act that way. All in his personality, y’know-

On a bad tic day, Mitsuba definitely doesn’t laugh. He genuinely feels bad for you, because, even if you say some admittedly funny things, he knows it isn’t easy. No matter how you tell him it’s fine, and that it’s basically a part of you by now, he knows that doesn’t make it any more ideal.

While he isn’t exactly sure what to do during those days, especially should you have a tic attack, he stays with you throughout it. If anything had upset you, he does his best to comfort you- overall, he sits there with you, not judging you, and making sure that you don’t end up hurting yourself.

Mitsuba is surprisingly patient with you- if you’re struggling to get a sentence out, he sits there, head on his hand, his usual less-than-impressed expression. Despite that, he doesn’t mean any harm, and you’re aware of it.

Genuinely snorts sometimes- especially if you’ve developed a new tic, and he doesn’t quite expect it. Honestly, as I’ve said, he doesn’t mean any harm- and he’ll control himself if he hurts your feelings. It simply catches him off guard sometimes.

BUT, if someone (an ignorant someone, as we are all painfully aware that people can be extremely dense, to say the least) makes a negative or insensitive comment, he’s ready to go off on them, should they be aware that you have Tourettes, and be aware of what it is. So, he will go off- scolding them, calling them rude words, explaining that you can’t help it.

If it’s one of those “stop cussing” comments, especially coming from someone who you’ve already established with that you have Tourettes, he’s the one saying fuck off, right to their face. He’s not going to put up with people like that, and he sincerely hopes you won’t either.

Though he knows that you have Tourettes, he won’t treat you differently because of it. He’ll brush off your obscene outburst, usually with a snicker, continuing the conversation at your own pace. He didn’t befriend you because of it- and he wouldn’t stop being your friend because of it. Overall, Tourettes or not, you’re his friend (Y/N). And that's how he's bound to treat you.

Kou Minamoto <3

I’m sorry, he’s honestly really clueless-

He tries, he tries his absolute best. He supports you, and he listens to you explain what it is, but he’s just a bit thrown off by your tics. He won’t be rude, of course! He just does his best to understand, and doesn’t judge you in the least. He may be clueless, but he’s still a sweetheart <3

When he hears you suddenly blurting curse words out, he sort of assumes it's a normal part of Tourettes. Once you explain that it’s not as common as portrayed- actually, that only about 10% of those with Tourettes have Coprolalia- he’ll raise his eyebrows, his eyes filled with interest.

“Ah, you’re special then! Wait-”

While Mitsuba laughed in the last set of headcanons, it was your turn to laugh- Kou… he tries his best. He never means any harm, and would never do anything he thought would cause harm. That involved some… interesting words of encouragement. Sometimes unnecessary, oftentimes much appreciated.

If you need help on a particularly bad tic day, he’s there for you immediately! Struggling to type? Hand over your phone! Struggling to write? Don’t worry, you can take his notes! He’s your #1 supporter, as he would be for any of his friends- he’d feel rude if he didn’t try to help you when you were struggling.

Feel free to refuse his help, of course! His feelings won’t get hurt, and he’ll just be happy that he offered to help!

Change your mind, and he’ll immediately help you, no worries about refusing it previously- he’s got ya, he’s got ya.

Like Mitsuba, he’s also very patient. Sitting there, his eyes holding the same interest in your words as they would if you were continuing on flawlessly. He’s rather good at ignoring your tics, focusing solely on your intended words.

If someone makes a rude comment, he’ll get defensive- but, he’ll calmly, though a bit cooler than his usual tone, explain to them that you have Tourettes. If they continue to be rude after having him explain that, he’ll be less kind. Kou doesn’t put up with rude people, especially towards his best friend. He’s gonna defend you all day long, if that’s what it takes.

Don’t bother with an “I can defend myself, Kou-” because he’s well aware. He’ll say that he knows you can, but he’s going to defend you no matter what. You’re his friend, and it’s his job to protect you- or in his eyes, it is.

He treats you just the same when you’re having a tic attack. He isn’t exactly sure what to do, so he figures doing the same will work. He may ask if you’re alright, but he typically leaves it at that. Actually- he isn’t entirely sure what a tic attack is until you explain it. Once you explain it, he’ll ask you what he should do when it happens, and he will follow your instructions exactly- whatever they may be.

Overall, he’s Kou Minamoto! (Y/N)’s best friend and #1 supporter and #1 defense!!

Yashiro Nene <3

She had a slight grasp on Tourettes before meeting you, and definitely takes your words, along with some research she does at home, to understand what it is completely! She even looks into Coprolalia once you tell her you have it.

Like the other two, she’ll do her best to treat you normally. She’s well aware that you’re just as human as anyone else in the class, therefore you don’t deserve to be looked at as anything other than. Who cares if you’ve got any sort of disorder? You’re a person, not a circus act, and that’s final.

If you want others to ask questions, or are comfortable with jokes being made about it, that’s 100% your business. Yashiro isn’t going to get defensive if she knows it’s alright with you. In fact, if someone makes an offhand comment, she gives you a certain look, basically asking “is that alright?”

Depending on your response, her reaction is different. If you don’t mind, she ignores them. If you do mind, she’ll glare at them. Yashiro isn’t the best at harsh words, but she still stands up for you, giving them a piece of her mind.

Yashiro is probably the most casual about it? She’s not quite as protective as Kou, but she isn’t quite as casual as Mitsuba. She’s just… an average, loving friend. Defending you when you need it, and holding the patience and care that you’d expect from, you know, a friend.

She’s a professional at brushing off Hanako’s teasing by this point, so brushing off your outbursts is no effort! Just as she pretends Hanako isn’t there, she’ll pretend your tics aren’t there. She’s patient with you, as the other two are, letting you take your time. She won’t get offended if you interrupt her with a tic, instead letting it happen, then continuing like nothing happened.

Yashiro definitely makes sure to establish that there is no need for you to apologize!! She’ll touch your arm, looking you in the eyes and telling you that you can’t help it, therefore it’s not something you should apologize for! You didn’t mean any harm, and she’s aware that suppressing the tics is either hard, not good for you, or nearly impossible. Especially around her, she doesn’t want you to feel obliged to suppress your tics.

“You’re my friend, (Y/N)! Don’t worry about it, really. It’s not your fault, so don’t apologize.”

Should you have a tic attack, she’ll try to comfort you, making sure that nothing caused it to happen. If something spurred it on, she’ll get you away from whatever it is, while also getting you away from anything you could hit yourself on, should you have tics that involve moving your body. Once it’s over, she’ll make sure you’re alright, doing her best to continue to comfort you. Overall, Yashiro really is a sweetheart. She’s your friend, and glad to be just that- and, as your friend, she’s going to stick up for you, and treat you like any other person should. We love her <33
