“I can’t believe this.” You said to yourself, setting down your phone to no longer read the comments.

Leaning forward until your arms rested on your knees as you sat on the couch.

You had completed one full interview with Jason. His management wanted to film it. A new press strategy to help their racers gain more popularity outside the track.

You had agreed.

Broadcast journalism had been an area of interest because of the age of the internet and how fast news can spread through social media.

Now they wanted you and Jason to interact.

Jason’s social media team had pitched that you two sit down, you ask him questions and Jason would be the charismatic man he was.

It was simple, something you had done with many athletes, but it was Jason. A man you had multiple meals with, volunteered with, and almost…nevermind.

You thought you masked it well, set personal away from professionalism, but you were clearly wrong from the comments on the video.

You had watched it on your phone, curiosity scratching at you when you cooked lunch. Then when you couldn’t take it, you pressed the play button.

You were in denial. Ever since you came back from your volunteer work on Jason’s motorcycle, you had tried to play everything off with as much nonchalance as possible.

You didn’t mention how close your faces were that day. He dropped you off after the work in Crime Alley. You waved goodnight.

You didn’t see him until you got the call from your company. The interview filmed, quickly edited, released and you continued to deny.

But how were you supposed to deny what you saw on the tiny phone screen. It was out in the open, the public knew, you knew.

Did Jason know?

Did he see what you denied to yourself?

Or maybe he was just too good at looking good with anyone?

His fan base even made a running joke to pretend he has chemistry with anyone he interacts with in public.

You were just the next contestant.

That had to be it.

You threw your phone back onto the couch cushion, reading anymore comments was not helping.

After calming down and a movie break, you checked Jason’s social media and Red Bull’s racing account. There were the usual clips, Roy and Jason being the most popular duo.

Multiple edits and clips of them doing miscellaneous things. It wasn’t that bad, maybe you weren’t his focus right now.

But you were conflicted, it was good if the video of the two of you went well. It was better than being popular from negativity.

You could live with this.

A notification popped up on the top of your screen, perfect font displaying “Mr. Todd has sent a message.”

Speak of the devil.

Mr. Todd: want anything?

You clicked on an image of a menu.

He always knew how to get you. A late night meal wouldn’t hurt.

You: Miss me already?

You: Combo, medium, sprite

Mr. Todd: kay

Mr. Todd: my place or yours

Oh no.

You had just come to terms with thinking you meant nothing to this man.

You watched three dots float at the bottom of the messages, anticipation eating at you.

Mr. Todd: couldn’t get enough of you after the interview

You needed to check yourself into the hospital at this rate.

Fuck read receipts, now you needed to respond.

You: bro I don’t know where u live

Mr. Todd: bro I can just tell u

You: bro my place

You’re an idiot.

Mr. Todd: Brok

You: brok?

Mr. Todd: bro + ok

You: return my food

Mr. Todd: too late I already left and the kind lady gave me a free drink

You saw a picture appear in the messages. He was holding the cup of sprite over a familiar ledge. The ledge of your apartment building floor.

You grabbed your keys, pulled on some quick sneakers, haphazardly put on, laces loose. You raced out of your apartment, quickly locking the door and running down the hall.

You ran to see Jason near the open ledge, night air surrounding him. Seeing his face turn to you, a smile spreading on his face.

You ran to save your sprite from his evil hands.

“Aw, so excited to see me that you didn’t put on your shoes properly.” Jason quipped, letting you take the hostage from his hands.

After securing your drink, your turned around. Eyeing Jason from your side.

He waited, a soft look on his face.

“Well, are you coming?” You walked forward, small smile perfectly hidden from Jason’s view.

You had sat down in front of your TV, putting your drink on the coffee table. You grabbed the remote trying to browse through several movies.

Jason had followed you in through the front door, taking off his shoes as soon was he walked in. He slowly walked toward you, taking a good look around your apartment.

You tried not to look at him, choosing to focus on your TV screen as he surveyed your one-bedroom apartment.

As he slowly stepped, you decided to chance one look at him.

Your eyes shifted toward his tall figure, he was oddly focused on your window, set near the small dining table.

It was a last-minute decision after you realized the format of your living room and kitchen. You liked watching the outside as you ate.

“Welcome to my home. Sorry for the mess, I didn’t get the chance to clean up after you took my sprite hostage.” You leaned your head on your hand, resting yourself on the coffee table as you watched Jason.

“Don’t worry about it, also you should lock your window.” Jason spoke.

You glanced toward the object in question, the latch was undone when you opened it earlier that day. You must’ve forgotten. It was a similar bad habit as never locking your balcony door.

Who would climb through that? Well, besides Batman, you don’t expect any visitors.

“Oh, sometimes I forget. But let’s eat first.” You shrugged.

Jason set the food down next to you, you felt the warmth radiating from the bag.

“I got it, your food should be the one on top.” Jason eyed the window, walking to it, snapping the lock into place.

You gasped.

“You ordered the other meal I wanted to try!” You smiled in excitement.

Jason turned back to sit down next to you. Lazily leaning against the foot of the couch.

He raised an eyebrow at the sparkle in your eyes, a silent question obvious on your face.

“Wanna try a piece?” Jason asked, giving in to the longing look.

“Aw, thanks Mr. Todd.” You dug into the two meals in front of you.

Jason moved to sit closer to you. Your excitement over the food distracting you, delaying your nervousness and your earlier debate with yourself.

As you took a bite, happy with the combination, you clicked on a movie. Letting it play as you and Jason ate.

“I thought you were kidding when you asked me if I liked the movie Cars.” Jason said in disbelief as he watched.

“It was for the interview…and I was genuinely curious.” You kept your eyes on the screen.

“Sweetheart, I don’t race in NASCAR. You know that.” Jason looked at you, astonished.

“I know, I think it’s hilarious.” You flatly said, focused on the movie in front of you. “You give off Lightning McQueen vibes.”

Jason nearly choked on his food.

“I feel like I should be offended.” Jason, stunned, looked at you.

You ignored him, letting him fret about your words as you finished your meal.

After Jason gave in and continued to watch the movie with you, you had cleaned up and the two of you moved onto the actual couch.

The soft cushions letting you sink in, sinking toward Jason who also dipped the couch. Letting a blanket droop over your legs.

He had taken his hoodie off, throwing it over a dining chair. Jason was clearly comfy for the night, in sweatpants and a t-shirt that hugged him nicely.

You were content letting your body relax. Watching animated cars as Jason, the fastest formula 1 driver, sat near you in your apartment.

With a full stomach and in pajamas.

Crazy how things worked out.

You smiled at your realization.

Your eyes felt heavy, the couch warm next to Jason.

Jason mindlessly watched the movie, pouting a little that he couldn’t believe that you thought of him like the red car.

Then he felt your weight on his shoulder.

He glanced to his side, seeing the top of your head. His heart raced. You had fallen asleep, a nice weight to his shoulder.

He saw your eyelashes, beautifully laid flat onto your cheeks as you gave into your sleepiness.

Call him a bad man, but he leaned his head on top of yours. Nuzzling into you.

You were probably going to wake up flustered, but he enjoyed making you nervous.

Seeing your ears going perfectly red.

Jason didn’t know what color he liked, he ended up with many things, falling into the rhythm of going with the flow. His racing career, his instincts to ask his manager to set up an interview with the talkative reporter, continuing to get lunch with you.

Now he was here, feeding you, sitting on your couch.

Getting more infatuated with the lil’ reporter he’s growing close to.

He learned something new today.

He realized his favorite color was the shade of your flustered ears.

You were stirring awake, your eyes slowly blinking into the faint light from the floor lamp. Majority of the darkness still around you.

You must have fallen asleep.

But how could you resist? It was warm around you.

As your consciousness entered your mind, you realized a weight around you. Fitted loosely around your waist, a soft fabric touching your face, slow even breaths slightly moving the hairs on your head.

Your eyes widened.

Jason was curled around you. At some point in between your nap, you and Jason had laid on the couch. Fully extending your bodies, falling into each other to fit perfectly into the soft cushions.

Oh no. You stiffened.

Jason started to stir awake, instinctually feeling the heightened panic from you next to him.

He slightly stretched his body, taking a deep inhale before releasing it, then slowly opening his eyes to look down at you. Your big eyes meeting his.

He sleepily smiled, pulling his arm around you closer to him. Somehow managing to get you even closer to him.

You felt his heartbeat through his shirt.

A lovely feeling.

“Jason.” You spoke into his t-shirt.

“Hm?” Jason grumbled, trying to wake up, but refusing.

“I think you accidentally fell asleep.” You moved your head, so your words weren’t mumbled into his body.

“I was going to leave.” Jason yawned. “You fell asleep and I laid you down on the couch, but you grabbed my shirt.” He smirked, eyes closed.

You moved your head, raising your chin toward Jason’s head above yours.

Your faces more parallel.

“What do you mean?” You quietly asked him, clearly surprised by the current situation, but still mindful of the sleepy man.

“You wouldn’t let go of me, so I tried sitting on the edge of the couch, but your grip never loosened. Then you kept tugging, so I finally laid down.” Jason continued to explain with his eyes closed, trying to keep his fatigue. “You have a deadly drip by the way.”

“I’m sorry.” You sighed.

“Why do you always do that?” He asked confused.

“Do what?”

“You always back away every time I get closer.” Jason’s eyebrows lowered, slight frustration in his tone. He was very expressive despite his eyes still closed.

“I don’t do that.”

“You were about to.” Jason pouted.

“I’m still laying next to you, I’m not backing away.” You retorted.

“You know that’s not what I meant. I can feel your negativity surrounding you.”

“Come on…I just,” You hesitated. “I just don’t want to bother you, to possibly cause a misunderstanding.”

Jason’s eyes opened, full seriousness in his gaze.

“What if I want you to bother me.” He directly told you, eyes never leaving yours.

Your faces nearly touching, the tips of your ears reddening. Curse your blood flow.

“I don’t understand.” You stammered, scared to peak into the direction this was going.

“I want to bother your life and I want you to bother mine. You make me feel alive because I want to talk to you, even when you don’t want to talk, I still want your time.” Jason directly told you.

You didn’t know what to say. Your heart racing as he continued to hold you, your faces close to one another, legs intertwined. His voice admitting what you’ve been scared to say.

It was out in the open. Clear as day.

Maybe it was meant to be this simple.

You were just too anxious and stubborn to call it what it was.

You kept Jason’s stare, his determination never faltering.

You pulled your hand from in between your bodies, releasing it from the depths of the blanket. You caressed his face, smoothing out the lines in between his eyebrows, softening his expression.

You smiled at your ability to control this man.

Maybe to the public he was rowdy, uncontrollable. But when you faced him, he was ready to come running when you held out a hand, waiting to rest his face in it.

He waited for your touch, your words, your quick glances.

You were the same. Ready to touch him, sing his name, memorize his smile.

You could barely contain yourself.

You leaned forward, kissing the man you longed for.

Your very first initiation towards him. No longer backing away.

You gently pressed into him. Both of your eyes closed, focusing on blurred touches of skin.

You want to touch him. You want more.

You rubbed where the back of his head met his neck, feeling the prick of his hair on your fingers. Your thumb rubbing behind his ear.

Jason matched you, letting feeling take over him.

He gripped your jaw, stretching your neck, adding another layer of desperation to your kiss.

Jason selfishly took your shared breaths.

When he wasn’t satisfied with that he moved to lean himself over you, but you put a hand to his chest.

Stopping him.

In his confusion, eyes glossed over, he only looked at you, his mind trying to catch up.

You ended up rolling him over, your body laid on top of his, Jason laid flat on his back. He reached up to cup his hands to your face.

You leaned down, deepening the kiss.

You had no reason to hold back. If it was this simple to be with Jason, you wanted to waste no more time on what ifs.

You were comfortable, letting your body fall onto Jason’s solid body. You wanted to feel more of him.

You readjusted yourself, straddling his waist near the waist band of his sweatpants. Jason panting, his breaths haggard.

You sat up fully, taking in the full image of him. It was beautiful.

“You’re gorgeous.” Jason breathed, in awe.

He gripped the sides of your waist, rubbing through your shirt.

Despite never removing any clothes, you were just as worked up.

You panted.

You internally thanked your unconscious self for keeping a death grip on this man.

You leaned down, nipping at Jason’s neck.

A sweet melody filled with Jason’s voice gasping. You felt every breath and vibration as you focused on his neck.

Letting yourself mark him just above his collarbone.

You looked down, hazily rating your work.

Jason reached up and rubbed your cheek. His soft touch contrasting your desperation.

The rising sun, letting in a soft glow through the large window near your dining table.

What a great way to start your morning.

You didn’t wake up this early, but to do this with Jason, you might have to start changing your routine.

Jason laid you back down to lean on top of him, He breathed into your neck as he held you close to him.

His large hands holding the back of your head, rubbing small circles.

“I told you I’m not backing away.” You smiled into Jason’s hair.

“I believe you now.” Jason chuckled, content in the comforting weight of you.

After another quick nap, you and Jason woke up, both of your hairs in a mess.

You were groggy, trying to help yourself to a cup of anything this morning, tea or coffee.

You watched Jason from your kitchen counter, he was learning where everything was. Memorizing the cabinets and drawers.

His broad back, a great view in your kitchen.

Your poor dining table window falling to second place.

You were in a daze watching his shoulders flex through the fabric of his shirt. It was like a switch flipped in you.

You shook your head, focusing back on the contents of your cup.

Jason made a cup of coffee, finally facing you. Leaning on the opposite counter.

Your eyes lowered to his stretched-out t-shirt around his neck.

You found what you were looking for, a purple blemish on his collarbone.

What a great morning.

Jason caught wind of your stare. Setting his cup down, caving you in-between his arms as he leaned on your counter.

It’s like you were made to be in his arms.

You giggled, trying to continue sipping on your cup. Letting Jason kiss around any opening of your face that wasn’t on the cup.

He was enjoying the moment, taking his time until you wanted to let him break.

When you had enough of the tickling sensation, you lifted your chin, letting Jason fully take your mouth.

The taste of coffee flooding you.

After your morning shenanigans in the kitchen, you spent the rest of the morning lounging, stealing kisses, possibly adding another blemish to match the other one.

heres a clip of the performace on third, its lg focused. another angle this one is more general wide shot with occasional zoom. another one this one is more zoomed in so you can really see actors expressions but its not character focused. eh have another angle.

not sure if they failed to clap or if jxk dodged on purpose, hes been doing that. lg does take his hand after unlike the 1st. they play rps as they roll out, cxs gladly slaps lg but runs away when its his turn to get slapped.

they fuck up the first heart again.

for once sofa song starts with entire trio on the sofa, lg makes cxs massage him as well. and ql is massaging cxs. is this too many photos i promise im normal.

during the next bit cxs has to drag lg over to sing, sometimes he comes over on his own sometimes ql calls him and them he goes. but this version is my fave.

lg wins all three rounds of rps, he looks so happy lol, he lost all rounds recently so this must feel great. also he slaps cxs very gently, but cxs still acted like it hurt

during rps song cxs has a very special prop... i knew that was around somewhere but i havent seen it used so thank you jxk. the rest of the cast all falling over lmao.

lg jukes(is that the correct word?) cxs during the handshake, this happens often. i think it happened on all 3 days here why is he so suprised.

then during the bow, im not sure what theyre doing like arm wrestling in air? lg calls him childish before the next song begins. during which jxk makes ghx cup his mic, this happened before but this time there is no excuse. they cup mics while singing so it sounds better ig, but not everyone does it. or maybe they do i havent been watching chronologically until now. also i like that theyre making group effort during introductions at the end usually its lg actor introducing everyone and well, i get it forgetting names.

jsk jukes the highfive at the start, but offers his hand a bit later, ghx rightfully slaps it away. i like when the trio holds hands as they roll out for the end of that song. also they fucked the heart up, or so it seems but ghx was looking and did that on purpose, why, that i cant say.

during sofa song cxs retaliates by pinching lg back, im glad, they always bully him in that bit, cxs actors should fight back more often. cxs has to drag lg to sing with ql, and ql pushes cxs and he falls of the table. very animated fall i was rooting for him.

lg does not win one round of rps, and goes to sulk, while cxs happily dances. this time it is lg who jukes cxs during the clap.

idk what theyre doing during the bow, but i hear pain noises and audiance laughing. when the lights turn on they arent in their spots, lg maybe accidentally jumpscares cxs, i really cannot figure out what was happening.

performace of the 2nd. wide shot. cxs is using a hair straightner? as a mic. no high five again, but cxs jukes lg twice this time and gives thumbs up. lg plays it off cool though.

i think they are allergic to doing the heart properly. very normal sofa bit nothing to note. during rps cxs wins twice then lg and then cxs again. cxs was slapping kinda serious but after lg slapped him gently he did too. im normal about them how could you tell.

ql does a heart with her hands when they stomp on the table. again weird activites during the bow. when lights turn on lg is massaging cxs, and cxs says something but i sadly cant understand. one day. lg walks away and cxs sticks his pinky finger out, other actors seem confused, me too, lg laughs though.

basic idea tho is that Ford picked up and adopted a fellow dimension traveler who happens to be a unicorn durning his 30 years on the other side of the portal. Thier name is Linked Hopps, also know as just Link or Hopper

spiderman meme, Hopper definitely picked up some habits and more from ford. she looks up to him and mimics his style

speaking of style heres a full outfit! fully equipped with a saddle bag full of goodies, a pair of glasses that probably have a shit ton of useful features. (she doesnt actually need them to see after all) straps on her back legs that are full of weapons and useful items. the uh necklace isn't supposed to be a necklace but rather part of a hood with a little clip to the corner bit.

oooo color yay, so a bit of backstory. Link here had a cracked horn. happened when she was about 5 or 6ish?(age isnt really set in stone but it happened before discovering her talent) and it makes doing painful and veryyy difficult. with the help of ford the two mange to make some enchanted rings that focuses her magic and aids the pain of doing so. its not a full fix what so ever but she can at least levitate stuff if needed. if she uses it too much the pain will get unbearable and she may pass-out. in emergencies Link has full on yoinked Ford out of danger. in fact its probably by doing exactly this that the two of them were able to get to through the portal at the same time(i will elaborate more on that with another post later)

now, let's talk about those scars, huh? link here had the joy of landing right into the perfect spot within the fallout universe to wind up suckered into new vegas' old world blues DLC. why? bc i love that series and can do whatever i want. Link's portals tend to lead her to completely random places and worlds. after getting a better handle on how her poition portals work, Link is able to somewhat reliable hop back to previous places shes been to. Oh nearly forgot, the way those special poitions work is a combination of her haywire magic, a mixture of ingredients(major changing factor on where she ends up), and a dash of her own blood.

this i would place as not long after the two first meeting and deciding to travel together. Ford took her on as an "apprentice" and taught her everything he could. Hopper was at max 10 or 11 years old when they discovered/got lost in the multiverse and for Funzies ill place the time of meeting at around 12 or 13. parallels and all that.

I am so totally normally about this-holy shit it’s actually happening!!!!! I had heard about the new anime years back from a friend, new as in it’s the second anime for DMC as the first came out in 2007 and I thought this one was in development hell and IT’S ACTUALLY A THING!!!!!

Ok so initial thoughts, try to get myself in order XD

I’M SO HYPED FOR THIS!!!!!

This is probably a look into either his past as Tony Redgrave when he was a mercenary OR it’s from 3 when he was first starting the proper demon hunting business after all that happened. That’s all I can tell from this short clip. But the style is so COOL! It’s like it’s from a manga or comic book. Side note they had a comic book series in few volumes but it’s more like watercolor art than traditional look and the novels illustrations look closer to this style which I LOVE.

Im so so so excited for this!!!! I’ve seen some people complaining, not a lot but some and though valid I’m just give a few facts that might ease worries on some things ok? Ok.

1. Castlevani’s director Adi Shankar, is working on this and that show was brutal but also really good! I don’t think I’ve seen much bad about it even if I know there’s people who didn’t like it because it was only part of the Castlevania lore not the entirety

2. Hideaki Itsuno the official director for the DMC series, and the rest of the team from Capcom Japan and America, is gonna be working with Shankar and the rest of the team he has for this. If that doesn’t relieve worries I don’t know what will.

3. It’s confirmed that there’s eight episodes to this first season and there’s FIVE PLANNED and I want that so bad like please please please let them do five for Pete’s sake please please please please-

4. Vergil and Lady are both set to appear!!!! So that leans this more for taking place in or around 3 which means we’re figuring it in somewhere around then

5. If all else fails and you don’t wanna consider this in your canon of events regardless of how it turns out due to personal preference that’s ok! You don’t have to like it and your opinions valid just as much as mine but at the same time please don’t try to ruin it for everyone that is excited and wants to like it ok?

it was really early in the morning when we went to han river and ate ramen there (CAN FINALLY CROSS IT OUT MY LIST IM HAPPY CRYING AGAIN) so there weren't that many people yet except for those alr walking their pets (SO CUTE BOTH THE PETS AND OWNERS R TOO NICE :(( ) and then bicycling. our initial plan was to have a lil picnic at night but decided to just do it in the morning so it wouldn't be too cold (SIKE) and about the couples -- OMG YES THEY ARE EVERY. WHERE. ANY TIME OF DAYYYY. it's really different to see it yourself. esp at parks!! we couldn't stop giggling because we don't know if we should proceed taking pics w the flowers and all or just look for another area because they're all there doing couple stuff (cute pics and all) it's so fun n hilarious.

that's alright though, at least you could save up more and maybe do other things first so you'd be ready-ready once you're all decided to go :> going with friends really IS FUN :(( coming from a really introverted person (ME)

I’m watching Uprising right now and…it’s certainly a movie. It was filmed. It exists. But. BUT! Every scene with Newt so far has made me want to bite through my own femur. Like I’ve read all the spoilers. I’ve read all the fics. But seeing it happen, and knowing what’s really going on with the precursors, it makes the viewing experience so much better. I can get through the slog of the rest of the movie just for that.

Also, I hate how quick the jager’s in this movie movie??? Like bruh you’re several tons of metal, please act like it.

Hello!!!! welcome back!!!! i'm gonna be honest with you, reading this message put a grin on my face very early this morning when i first read it, which absolutely isn't an easy thing to do that early in the day. So, thank you for this ask and for making my day brighter right off the bat :]

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! I want you to know how enamored i am with the phrase "its like im looking into a foggy mirror shaped like charlie day" because i absolutely adore it. and, i ABSOLUTELY understand that, even if its not the exact same degree! i definitely see some of myself in newt, but probably relate to hermann a lot more (mostly with the weird vernacular, eccentric propensity for math, tendency to talk in an "all at once" manner, etc etc). i have a friend who jokingly calls me a combination of the two, which i think sums it up pretty well (i'm also a weird, rambly, punk [aspiring] biologist so it evens out). though, i'm really glad you could find a character to see yourself in like that— imo it's always really neat when that happens. congrats on your blorboning ^_^

As for uprising... YEAH. YEAH. it truly is 'a movie.' i honestly haven't been able to stomach watching it in its entirely, so all my information comes from friends, my girlfriend, analysis on tumblr, clips, and summaries (and criticism through fic-it fics, of course, though i recognize that thats far from a reliable source for canon fgdfklg)

[here's that summary of so far i promised !!

ok so: grian and impulse got stuck in the infinity room that grian made for impulse as his season 9 secret fools prank. we interacted with them for a bit, they tested a bunch of different things before they marked their starting spot with an x with the red dye grian had and started moving. (he also has blue dye and a stack of bread. impulse has nothing.) we see the first glimpse of a mysterious endermite person touching the red x after that.

they travel for a while before discovering that mumbo is here and we can /msg interact with him. the area around his text (no face icon, mc chat text) was glitchy and sometimes there was galactic around them, which we later found out were his thoughts.

a few other things we learned: if mumbo is displeased, angry or any other negative emotions he gets glitchier. he doesn't like being asked about the grian that came with him here. also mumbo mentioned "she" a couple of times. don't think we know who that is yet ?

mumbo proceeds to ring a bell to get impulse and grian to get to him, and although they are suspicious at first, upon finding out that this mumbo is from season 6, they immediately go. on the way we learn that grian and impulse have started to glitch slightly, though (thankfully) very rarely (for now). we also get our first old echo file, which contains different audio clips from hermits with some endermite noises mixed in. (there's another one with the same format, though they contain very different messages. i suggest listening👍👍 couldn't link them though sorry)

right after they reach mumbos little hut, we see the mysterious endermite person again, who is revealed to be tango. he speaks either partially in galactic or fully so and doesn't like noise (the asks). more about him soon.

we see mumbo !! he's glitchy and kinda crumbling/falling apart. he looks like a pathetic wet cat (not in a bad way). he's not okay. but we get more revelations !! the void corrupts over time, but having less items speeds up the process. grian gives half a stack of bread to impulse to hopefully help. mumbo also doesn't like noise. (glitches more) he glitches way less when experiencing positive emotions :D

then we cut back to tango, who really isn't happy about all the noise (asks) and after listening to an echo traveling through the room, he sends us to another grian. this grian is the season 9 grian who was making the prank room for impulse and then got stuck. we dropped some real bombs on him, and thats where we're at now.

uh. sorry that got so long, i got carried away... it has the big plot points with some info mixed in :) hope it proves atleast some use :DD

I’ve seen a lot about your thoughts on Elisabeth and Tanz der Vampire, and they’ve been really helpful getting into those musicals! But you have a huge list of other musicals that people can get into…

So I was wondering if you had any musicals you hadn’t mentioned in a while that you really like or would like to talk about??? (preferably something from your lists that has a blue heart please?)

Oh if only you knew how long the list of European musicals really is... I however have only seen 9 (if I counted right) and I have a lot more that I still need to watch. Oh also, I only put the blue hearts on any musicals that I was providing multiple links for so people could see which version I reccoment the most highly. If a musical only had one link and didn't have a blue heart it doesn't mean I didn't like it.

I've watched: Mozart das Musical, Elisabeth das Musical, Tanz der Vampire, 3 Musketiers, Mozart L'Opéra Rock, Dracula (the Graz production), Rebecca das Musical, Roméo et Juliette and Schikaneder.

If you enjoyed those two you're likely to enjoy Rebecca! It's written by the same composer/lyricist team as Elisabeth and Mozart (and same lyricist as Tanz der Vampire - though if you're listening to any German musical, original or translated, 90% of the time the lyrics will have been done by Michael Kunze that man is everywhere). The Stuttgart production has my favourite set design of any musical! Well... Actually probably. There are so many big set pieces it's insane, way more than I've seen in some Broadway and West End musicals. You can tell so much work went into it and the visual effects that I won't spoil if you don't know the plot but if you know the plot you know what I mean by the effects at the end are so good and I didn't expect them at all and I freaked out so much the first time I watched it. Jan Ammann as Maxim in the Stuttgart production is the best Maxim. No I won't take any argument. Other actors feel a bit one-dimensional to me, but the way Maxim acts at times comes from trauma and some actors and productions seem to forget that, but Jan really goes for it and his Maxim is a lot more sympathetic and I just want to give him a hug. Pia Douwes as Mrs Danvers, if you've seen her in Elisabeth what more do I need to say, she's amazing. A musical goddess. Her Danny is a bit more wild than some, but she kills it. My favourite video, which I put the blue heart next to, has understudy Christina Patten as Ich/I, but I adore her she's my favourite. She adds some spunk to Ich in act 2 and her voice is so pretty and aaaa. I just love these three actors together in these roles.

Roméo et Juliette is another favourite of mine! It's hard to choose which one to recommend, but it has to be the original 2000/2001 production because of the sweetness and chemistry and voices of Damien Sargue and Cecilia Cara as Romeo and Juliet. They're so pretty and work together so well. The only reason I say it's hard to pick is Mercutio. I adore him, but in the original production they cut out a song they had planned for him and he doesn't really do much at all? In the 2010 revival they gave him two more songs and you care about him so much more and John Eyzen plays such a good Mercutio. So I'd recommend the original but if you want to like Mercutio more, which you should he's amazing, I'd recommend watching at least clips of John's. It's an interesting musical because all productions are non-replica and also change around the order of songs, add or take away characters, all sorts. The Hungarian production is also very popular and I'm sure it's great, I just haven't' gotten around to watching it yet.

Mozart das Musical was the first non-English language musicals I watched so I have a fondness for it, but it's not my favourite. However, I do realise I have forgotten most of the songs and the few I've gone back and listened to are better than I remember.

Dracula isn't super popular and I understand why, I don't love the plot of the Dracula/Mina romance in it, however. I do love this musical because despite how I find the plot lacking, the songs are so good! At least, I love them. And the actors are all doing a great job. And it's one of the few Dracula adaptions to keep Quincy Morris so they get bonus points for that.

Mozart L'Opéra Rock and modern French musicals... This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they're often more like pop-rock operas now. So if you're not into musicals with that style of music it might not be for you, but I still enjoyed it even though I didn't think I would because of the style of music. Mozart and Salieri's chemistry is very good, Salieri's bisexual crisis song is iconic, actually all of Salieri's songs are iconic.

Schikaneder... eh. I didn't like it that much and I didn't really like any of the songs. There's no English subtitles, but someone sent me the entire English synopsis and I watched it with a German friend so I had double the help of understanding it. Doesn't mean others might not like it, just none of the songs stood out to me and I had no desire to listen to any of them again. It's by Steven Scharwz of Wicked fame and I love Wicked, but I didn't love this.

3 Musketiers!! God it's so underrated and not spoken about within the European musical fandom that I even forget about it and literally forgot to write about it earlier in this post. It's a Dutch musical (though did also have a German production) and it's really good!? Faces you might know are Pia Douwes as Milady de Winter, Stanley Burlseon as Cardinal Richeliu (Netherlands Der Tod in Elisabeth), Henk Poort as Athos (Netherlands Phantom and Jean Valjean). The dialgoue is funny, the songs are good, some of the set pieces have no right to exist in this tiny musical?? They made this giant boat and pelt the actors with rain just for one 5 minute song and then we never see the boat again? And while I recommend the Dutch one because Dutch musicals deserve more love and it has official English subtitles!! Official ones, not fanmade! I have the DVD and it comes with English subtitles (and Dutch and German subtitles) which is so nice. The German version is also good, good cast, Pia came back and Uwe Kroger as Richeliu and omg they rearranged the songs and the German arrangement of Nicht Aus Stein is insane and amazing and frankly iconic.

That's all of the ones I have watched. Next on my list to watch are Rudolf and Notre Dame de Paris, both of which I have listened to some songs from and already love (I've listened to way too much of Notre Dame de Paris and am so in love).

I want to start organising streams where I'll host the musical either by getting the video from Youtube or my own files and anyone who wants to join can come along and watch with us, chat with us if you want or just watch there's no pressure to chat. I thought about doing weekly streams? This would also make me finally watch some of the ones I've been meaning to for ages. But I keep wondering about time zones. I'm in the UK and would want to stream at about 11pm at the latest (11pm BST/GMT+1 as we’re in daylight savings at the moment, if the streams continue past the end of October which would be wild then I’ll make a note of the time change that would be to 11pm GMT), which I know can work for other UK and Europeans, but for any Americans would be in the afternoon. So, I wondered if doing it on a weekend would be better? Then it doesn't matter if it's in the afternoon? Maybe Saturday evenings then? It would either be Saturday evenings UK time or Friday evenings UK time. What do you guys think? If people are down then I'll make a separate post with a list of what we'll be watching each week and if anything happens to me that means I can't stream one week then everything will just get pushed back a week, but I don't see that as likely to happen. And I'll only be streaming those that have English subtitles, so don't worry about not being able to understand anything.

edit: am also open to 10pm bst if others want that, im just trying to think of what time works best for everyone so sorry if 11pm is a little late for europeans, i know 10pm could be a little early for americans. also in case it sounded like these are the only musicals i will be streaming, thats not so, ive got more than just the ones mentioned on this list!

hiii i love the gifs you make!!!! i was wondering if you could explain how you made them? links to tutorials work too!! :D

hey yes ofc!! i’ve included some general info & links first then there’s a step by step process with screenshots of how i make gifs! ~~ this is just a basic gif tutorial, i didn’t go into colouring or adding text etc because it was already so long but if you wanted to know any of that stuff just lmk!

general info:

for drag race gifs i’ll usually screen record from wowpresentsplus but this site is great if you want to actually download the eps (they have untucked, all stars etc too)

for youtube videos the 4k video downloader is my go to

i’d highly recommend downloading vlc media player! especially if you’re making gifs from downloaded videos

i use photoshop cc 2018, but if you don’t have photoshop yet here’s a masterlist (i tried so many before finding one that worked for my laptop so don’t worry if it doesn’t work first time ^.^)

gif making:

1. if you’ve only got a short video you can skip this step! but to start off with i’ll use vlc media player to cut the video into smaller clips (this makes it easier when you’re using photoshop later but its also helpful for planning gifsets!) - for this make sure you have advanced controls on: ‘view’ --> ‘advanced controls’ - open your video then find the scene you want, click the red record button to start recording and stop once you’ve got your clip (i recommend recording about 10 seconds before the clip you want starts as it takes a second to start recording sometimes)

photoshop time! i have a small laptop so my layout might look different to yours and if this is your first time using ps you’ll need to select all of these from ‘window’

2. click ‘file’ --> ‘import’ --> ‘video frames to layers’, open your video clip and you can either use the whole clip (select ‘from beginning to end’) or fine tune it more with the trim controls! (doesn’t have to be exact as you can delete frames later), once you’re ready click OK!

3. play the gif through then delete any frames you don’t want from the timeline. around this time i’ll also go to layers, select all the layers and group them together with the folder button. then i’ll select all the frames and adjust the speed (the little arrow at the bottom of the frames); i have 61 frames in this gif so i changed it to 0.06 

4. cropping and resizing! select the crop button from the tool bar on the left, then change the ratio at the top to whatever your heart desires (i want this gif to be wide so i didn’t crop it much!) once i’ve cropped i’ll play it through to double check im happy then select all the frames and click ‘convert to video timeline’. now go to the top bar and click ‘image’ --> ‘image size’ --> and make sure its set to ‘pixels’!!!! i changed the width to 540 as its only 1 gif but for a row of 2 gifs i tend to do 300 each and for 3 i do 178 

5. sharpening! make sure the group 1 folder is selected then go to ‘filter’ --> ‘convert for smart filters’, then back to filter --> ‘sharpen’ --> ‘smart sharpen’ . these are my usual settings but i’ll adjust the radius to 0.3 for some gifs if it looks too much. 

6. saving the gif! go to ‘file’ --> ‘export’ --> ‘save for web’. i keep it on ‘4up’ so i can easily compare the gif quality to other options. most of the time i’ll end up using ‘diffusion’ with dither at 100%, but sometimes i’ll swap to pattern.. its a gif by gif basis really! sometimes if the gif is close to 10mb i’ll save it with pattern as that tends to be lower then once ive done all the colouring i’ll save it with diffusion ^^ also make sure looping is set to forever! otherwise the gif will play once then stop :p

7. thats the basic gif done!! now i’d save it to my drafts to check the speed is alright before reopening it on photoshop and colouring it!

Do you have recommendations for the GameBoy? (GB/GBC/GBA are all fine)

tbh my rec list is mostly The Classics(tm) like the kirby games, pokemon mystery dungeon, mario & luigi superstar saga, and the first iteration of rhythm heaven which is in japanese but still fine to play i mean its rhythm heaven-- i mean rhythm tengoku. I wouldn't really recommend pokemon RSE or FRLG unless you're already a pokemon fan and haven't played them BUT its a good introduction to the series if you want to do that(so get emerald if u do). ALSO Mario Party Advance Is Fun, Actually. its not classic mario party and is mostly focused on a single player gameplay BUT it does well with that and its really fun(and its got some funny writing).

anyway play every kirby game but first and foremost amazing mirror pwease play amazing mirror i love it so so much i can even teach u how to read the map if u want since thats the biggest complain about it amazing mirror is one of the best kirby games and i will die on that hill

im not sure if mario vs donkey kong is well known but that game is worth it just with the cutscenes and mario's voice clips alone(let's-a-go little guys!!!!!!). best of charles martinet. its kind of a tough game tho so if you don't wanna play at least check out the cutscenes on yt but also listen to this track its rly funky

i do have 1(one) special little game that is much lesser known but. listen. hello kitty happy party pals. best shit ever. trust me. its good.

i play the gba version of super bust a move a lot but i wouldnt really recommend it bc 1- much better versions available for PS2/Gamecube 2- the bubbles have a WEIRD hitbox and 3- im a weird person who just really likes idly spending time on puzzle games. im only mentioning it so i can link the funky tune which tbh is also available on the other versions but I kinda like the gba version of that one more even if its a much shorter loop.

never. actually played any of the GBA zeldas because I used to be this heretic who doesn't actually like classic zelda gameplay but ravio came into my house and took all my money and now a link between worlds is in my top 3 for the series so yeah im planning to look back on that sometime. heard they're good.

“everything’s fine” scene-

starting off with an emotional scene! when i first watched this scene, i cried SO much. just seeing jake say that with that weak smile, knowing that yes he feels more comforted talking to amy but he still doesn’t know when he’ll actually get to properly see and talk to her :( this broke me and even now if i were to rewatch the scene, i will cry i definitely will.

jake and amy talking about their experience babysitting terry’s kids-

this is basically the first time we hear them talk about kids tgt, so ofc a memorable moment. but something i love about this scene is not just how u can tell they love kids, but jake’s smile while amy talks about kids. he definitely was thinking about the future in which he has kids with her! literally that’s the smile of a man who wants to have kids with her! and amy’s enthusiasm was the absolute cutest my bb 🥺🥺 anyways yea such a cute scene and now they have their own kiddo 🥺

i mean we can all agree that we were all mad about this scene, cuz we didn’t get to see the kiss. but sometime i love about this scene is how they just look at each other and decide “hey i wanna kiss you rn”. all those mfs gotta do is look into each other’s eyes they really can have a whole convo by just looking at each other. (also amy’s so cute in this 🥰) they had no reason to kiss but they did cuz they just love kissing each other god. (i also understand they most probably kissed cus dan goor wanted to play around with us but im not considering that)

hi cutie 💕💕💕 of course i will help!!!! im not sure if you're looking for some general tips or an actual giffing tutorial, so imma try making this as detailed as i can and hope it helps!!! this got a bit long so im gonna put everything under the cut <3 if you have any questions be sure to ask <333 and thank you so much for the compliment that really means a lot 🥺💕🥺💕

first of all you need to get your apps to make gifs! you will need a video downloader (i use 4k video downloader for youtube videos and a bunch of online converters for other websites and kpop24hrs.com for stage ts files, you will also find ts files uploaders on twitter though!! for specific groups dont be afraid to ask ccs where they get their files from, for atz i can recomend twitter users @/tamsaahj and @/bomhae0323), photoshop of course, you can find a bunch of ps files online if you google, especially linked in tumblr posts, and (optional) vapoursynth / avisynth preprocessor for stages!! i use vapoursynth and im super happy with it, you can get the files for it here <3

there was a great video that explained how to set vapoursynth up but i guess it got taken down or something?? so imma quickly explain it to you (assuming you have windows), if you don't wanna use vapoursynth you can skip this whole paragraph - download the portable zip file and unzip it wherever you want it and make a shortcut of the "drop video file on me" bat file on your desktop (for easy access). once you do that you can drop a video on it and a cmd window will open where you can put your timestamp and a resizer will open in your browser, as well as a vapoursynth editor window, which should be empty the first time it opens. you will have to navigate through file → open script → and open the script.vpy file in the gifs folder of your vs folder!! after that it's pretty straightforward, you work in the browser resizer to crop and resize your clip, you can use the klnm feature for denoising and the finesharp feature for sharpening and then you copy paste the top right script into your vapoursynth editor and go to script → encode video → set preset to MOV and you can press start!! your clip will be in the vapoursynth output folder <3

after that you can open the clip in photoshop and that's where the magic happens!! in photoshop you have to go to file → import → video frames to layers and find and choose your clip, either the preprocessed VS clip or your video if you skipped the vs part (note that photoshop cannot open some video formats, the most reliable ones are mp4 and mov!) and import the part you wanna gif. you dont have to be very precise as you can delete frames after you import the file too! <3

when you import your clip, you can either work in animation mode, or timeline mode. i prefer timeline mode bc i find it easier to navigate, timeline mode also allows you to use sharpening / denoising and other filters, which you cant do in animation mode.

if you're working with animation mode, you can start coloring straight away, playing with the adjustment layers and see what works for you! if you wanna work in timeline mode to use the filters, you will have to do the following:

1. select all frames

2. select all layers (select → all layers)

3. click on this menu icon (bottom left) under the first frame

4. go to filter and convert to smart filters

this will turn your clip into a smart object and now you can use any smart filter photoshop offers and / or proceed with coloring!!!

like i said, there are many possible ways of coloring your clips, you can play with every layer to see which one works for you best, i usually use curves, vibrance, selective color, hue / saturation, levels and exposure adjustment layers, but there are plenty of others that you might end up liking yourself <3

once you're happy with the clip, you will have to go to file → export → save for web and then you can save your first gif!!

these are my export settings if you wanna compare!

and then you just press save and you're done <3

last note: if you work in timeline mode, you will have to re-import your gif to change the speed of your gif as timeline mode only exports at 0.03 or 0.07 speed from what i noticed, simply click and drag your gif into photoshop (the tab section) and then select all frames and change the speed of your gif! for reference, for 60fps videos (stages) i go for 0.03 (so no need to reimport) and for other videos i go for 0.05 <3

Xiao Yuliang Interview [Eng Trans]

so remember this post? yeah well i wound up doing a mostly full translation of the entire 6 minute interview on twitter. some parts are paraphrased and a few details were skipped bc he sometimes repeated himself and there were one or two details i wasn’t 100% sure of, but other than that an eng transcript of the full interview is below the cut:

1. Introduce your role in "Ultimate Note"?

XYL: In Ultimate Note I play Zhang Qiling, Xiaoge.

2. What kind of impression does this character leave in your heart?

XYL: Before, I thought he was a really strong, and then a very cool, and then a very cold/detached person. But later, I finished reading the novel and read the script, and I felt like he's someone who lets your heart ache for him. The feeling he gives me--because once I was reading the script in a car, and I almost wanted to cry for him, because he's always searching for the things he's lost. And he's very strong, but he wasn't born strong; he also went through a lot, and he made himself strong. He can bleed, and he can get hurt; it's just that he doesn't say anything, and he doesn't show that he's in pain.

3. Talk about the initial pressure of receiving this role?

XYL: When I got this role, the pressure was really really big, but I also thought I was pretty lucky, because I'd played Zhang Qiling before, and I get to play him again, and I think that's pretty lucky. But the pressure is too big, on set right now, the pressure is very big.

4. Netizens were pretty satisfied with your performance; have you seen these comments?

XYL: When Sha Hai was airing, I saw their comments. Some of them approved, and I was happy, but others--like, saying some suggestions or opinions--I also looked at them. I also looked at the performances of other actors who played Zhang Qiling and comments on their performances. I used them as a reference, and I learned from the experiences/evaluations of others.

5. What was the greatest challenge of playing Zhang Qiling?

XYL: The biggest challenge is that there are too few lines. It's really hard to act! [Xiaoge] has some expressions where it's just, you can't make them too obvious or too "unrestrained" because his actions are also very restrained, but if you're too restrained then everyone just thinks you don't have any reactions. And the editors are also very hardworking, because they'll have 4 pages, and I won't have a single line, just reactions. The others will talk for 10 minutes, and I'll just be reacting. [Xiaoge] is a person with few/no words, but with his whole heart, he wants to go care for others...it's very difficult; this "no lines" is very difficult. Another thing is fight scenes are very difficult, and the weather is too hot.

6. What are some scenes that left the deepest impression on you?

XYL: Like when it's 3am, and we're running through a wild river, the water is all up to our waists, and we don't know what's underground. I was just afraid there were snakes, you know? Nothing we can do, just run. And there's also, because the filming location is at Xishuangbanna, there really are snakes. We've seen snakes etc on set, so we were afraid accidents would happen. Thankfully they didn't. And there was also when we were rubbing mud on our faces during the hot day. Actually, what we were rubbing was chocolate paste. When the chocolate on our faces dried, we spread on more, and it feels like you've become a "chocolate person", not a "mud person". I also tasted it--the BTS side clips recorded it; the taste is okay. [t/n: here is a link to that clip]

7. How did it feel working with the other actors in the crew?

XYL: Liu Yuning-laoshi [t/n: Hei Xiazi] is really nice. He doesn't have a temper, and he's a very calm and tranquil person. I think he's really nice. Xiao Xi [t/n: lit. “Little Xi”, nickname for Zeng Shunxi aka Wu Xie] is a little mischievous. Xiao Xi likes to stir up trouble on set and play around. In any case he plays around with Pangzi and me, but Liu Yuning-laoshi is more tranquil, not quite the same as [his character] in the show.

8. Before you posted a vlog caring for your pet on Weibo, why don't you introduce your pet?

XYL: My dog's name is a character I played once; my mom named him. Because we'd just finished filming that show, and then my mom got a dog, so she just called him my name in the show. Tell me, isn't that annoying? [t/n: drama was called 反骗天下/Fan Pian Tian Xia and his role was called 米若/Mi Ruo; his dog is apparently called 米诺/Mi Nuo.]

9. You've been an actor for awhile now; can you discuss what being an actor feels like?

XYL: Initially, before I became an actor, I thought, "Oh, cool". Everyday you're just, wow, holding weapons, cool! But now I think it's so hard. Especially while shooting this show, I got a sty for a month, and it's still not better even now. [t/n: you can definitely see the swelling under his eye in ep1] I think this sty is from accepting this role, or because of work. In any case, it's still not better. But it's no problem; thankfully, my hair can cover it. You also have to be careful of safety on set; real blades can slice open your hands. Once, I wasn't careful and cut my wrist, but thankfully the doctor's stitching skills were pretty good. When he was still stitching, I even said, "Doctor, you have to stitch it well, okay, I'm an actor, I use this hand to perform", and he said "Okay". After the stitches were done, he asked me, "Are you satisfied with the stitches?" The results were pretty good; it didn't really leave a scar.

10. Finally, promote this show to our fans.

XYL: You all have to watch our "Ultimate Note", because filming was really tough, and we've diligently tried to accomplish these three roles [t/n: the iron triangle, I’m assuming] and later on some of the the details of many of the books. I hope you will see similarities to the novel in some of the show's scenes.

and we are done! so yeah, i think his take on xiaoge’s character was the most important part, but some of the other stuff (listening to him complain about some things lmao) was kinda funny too. im still laughing about the whole ‘im an actor i need this hand to perform’ bit bc dude you literally sliced yourself open w a knife badly enough to need stitches but that’s your first priority???? glad you’re dedicated to your job though i guess but LOL

1. What do you want to say to Zhang Qiling?

XYL: Xiaoge, you've worked hard.

2. Who from the show would you pick to go with you on an adventure?

XYL: I’ll choose...I'll choose Pangzi, because he'll definitely bring food. And he's fat, and he's pretty joyful, oh right, I can also bully him.

3. Describe the level of your cooking skills.

XYL: Cooking skills? The rank of instant noodles. Just boiling instant noodles, then adding the flavor packets, and then tomatoes, eggs...instant noodles.

4. If you're not restricted, what kind of role do you most want to play?

XYL: If I'm not restricted, then I want to play that guy who, in the morning, is just delivering takeout or is really well-behaved and wears glasses, that type, and then at night he pushes his hair back like this [xyl mimes pushing his hair back], and he starts to....different types...in any case, like split personalities, right, split personalities.

5. A sentence to describe your ideal life.

XYL: My family and I are healthy, and I have enough money to go live a normal life, eat/drink whatever I want, travel with my family, and just grow up slowly.

oh right additional note, in zsx's interview, when asked which character he'd take, he said xiaoge without hesitation. and the interviewer asked if he wanted to know who xiaoge picked and zsx was all "he didn't pick me did he...I'll be leaving now, thank you~" 😂
