Didn’t Gwyn describe Catrin as the moon? With her pale skin, and dark hair, and as moody as the ocean? Whose tides coincide with the phases of the moon? And we all know moonlight is the reflection of sunlight, so Gwyn and her literal other half would shine as moonlight together.

But she’s lost Catrin, and hasn’t fully dealt with that trauma (as she doesn’t wear the invoking stone), and what a coinkidink that Azriel happened to rescue her afterwards. It probably was personal for Humphrey but personal in the sense of Humphrey's loyalty to the dead Henry V than his feelings about Charles personally. Which isn't to say that it was nice or moral, only that it wasn't like a personal grudge or hateboner at play. Any grudge was probably more related to the figures we know Humphrey had serious beef with - Cardinal Beaufort, Suffolk - and who were key figures agitating for Charles's release.
