It wasn't often that Blade strayed outside the mission.

Just as the sword he wielded, Blade cut through his missions with precise cuts, following Elio's script like law. While Kafka and Silver Wolf would take liberties with their scripts, going off to shop or to fight, Blade stayed at his designated spot, staring blankly at the clock until he was called upon once more. He never did more, never did less.

So to see him gazing off into the distance, a hint of a smile on his face, was definitely out of the ordinary.

"What's on your mind, Bladie?" Kafka asked, her pupil-less eyes peering at her partner from behind her drink. "It's rare to see you so... restless. Has the mara been bothering you?"

Blade shook his head, a disgruntled sigh escaping him. His gaze reached past Kafka, focusing on the silhouette of your person as you chatted away with Dan Heng.

Kafka hummed, tilting her head as she played with her straw, mindlessly stirring her beverage. "Hm... Then is it them?"

Blade's fingers stilled. Kafka smiled, knowing she had hit the spot.

"So it is," she mused, stifling a giggle as Blade shot her an annoyed look.

"They're talking to him," Blade muttered, laying his hand flat against the table. Surprisingly, the mara did not strike, nor did Blade become irritated. His voice was gentle, soft like the breeze.

Her teasing wasn't lost on the man, but he didn't bother with a reply.

"No," Blade murmured, resting his head in the palm of his hand. The artificial sunlight of the Xianzhou bathed you in a heavenly glow, your carefree laughter a sweet symphony. "I wouldn't dare disturb such beauty."

And yet, it seemed as though fate had glanced his way, just as you had. Your eyes met with his, and you smiled, waving at him. Blade's heart thudded in his chest, and for a moment, life returned to him.

im pretty sure its canon neil picks up photography on his last year at psu, so here are some of my hcs about it

nikon guy. dont ask why, but i know better than i know myself that he is a nikon guy

hates mirrorless cameras. reflex all the way

he would get to the most dangerous/risky/absurd spots to take the perfect shot

his favourite angle is the dutch angle. like, 95% of his photos are taken from a dutch angle

the 5% that it isnt are simmetrical pictures

okay, just picture out this one for me. neil taking a picture of andrew from the backseat (especifically the middle seat, a little to the right/shotgun side), dutch angle like 15° up to the left (or down to the right), andrew on the driver's seat with usual bored expression but with an eyebrow up driving but taking a moment to look at neil/the camera

if we are getting period accurate (like 2010/2011 when he starts) and following the nikon guy hc, i think he would have a D3100 (released in 2010 august, 500gr, 12×9×7 cm, more info here)

he cares about his camera the same way andrew cares about his car

gets really attached to his first camera (who doesnt?), he only replaces it when it broke after years of use

+when he has away games and the team is not going back inmediatly to homecity, he dissapears for an hour or two to walk around the new city taking pictures

he uses having a camera to avoid social interaction. majority of people when they see you with a camera in public/in an event will leave you alone bc they think you are busy, and he definitely uses that on his favour. on the other side, there is a section of people who will see you with a camera and start bothering a lot about it. when that happens, he just lifts the camera a little bit and goes "sorry, kinda busy right now"

TPOH CHARLIE CHAPLIN THEORY

I don't know where I first heard the "RGB's dreams are based of silent film action stunts" theory, but I do know it's very popular in the fandom. Yet, I haven't found a complete list of what dreams are references to what stunts so I decided to do that myself! Plus a bit of theorising over what they represent!

A majority of these references are from Charlie Chaplin films, but a few are Buster Keaton and other actors. Apologies in advance if I get them mixed up at some point, since I don't know a lot about silent films and this was all first-time research.

Its no doubt that Charlie and RGB look very similar, sporting the same suit, hat and bamboo cane. The parallels between these two may suggest that RGB was an actor around a similar time frame. Charlie and Buster were known for doing most of their own stunts, some of which were quite dangerous. Not only are RGB's dreams references to these stunts, but they also portray what would happen if they went wrong.

Dreams

Diegesis page 74 is a reference to the 'falling house' stunt from Buster Keatons 'Steamboat Bill, Jr' (1928) In this stunt, the front of a house fell behind Buster but he was able to avoid getting hurt by standing right where the window fell. In RGB's dream, there are voices exclaiming to him that he is 'off his mark', meaning he isnt standing where the window will land. The house falls and presumably kills him, then RGB notes this isn't how he died.

The first panel of Hoofers page 248 depicts Harlod Lloyd's 'Safety Last' clock scene. In this scene, Harold is climbing a building and grabs onto a clock. The panel shows RGB losing his grip on the clock a plummeting to the ground below.

The second panel shows a pair of roller skates. This is a reference to Charlie Chaplin's 'Modern Times' where Charlie is seen roller skating dangerously close to a drop. This may just be a coincidence, but I should note that Charlie is blindfolded in this scene, and Human RGB is usually seen with something covering his eyes. May be another parallel??

The second panel in Flood page 505 shows a stunt from Buster Keaton's 'The Three Ages' where he trys to jump from building to building using a wooden plank.

The third panel is a reference to Charlie Chaplin's 'Modern Times' in which Charlie is swallowed by a factory machine.

I THINK that's all of them, but let me know if I missed any. As for what these mean, it's shown in RGB's dialogue in his dreams that he is willingly playing out these scenarios to try and figure out how he died. Despite Negative being based off silent film actors, and RGB being an actor before he died, I don't think these references actually have much to do with the lore. As in, I don't think RGB was ACTUALLY swallowed by a factory machine. Most of the time, something else out of RGB's control happens in the dream with lore in it (example: the iron, the train, the doctor)

That was until I found these three reblogs from ModMad on the TPOH wiki! They were of more silent actor photos, and the captions implied they would be used in the future of TPOH.

But since they were reblogged all the way back in 2013, I asked Mod to confirm if there was still plans to use them. And they (in their usual Mod cryptid-ness) said yes.

So onto speculation!!!

On thing I find particularly interesting about these photos is that, to my knowledge, they are not stunts. They don't depict particularly dangerous situations and it's a bit of a stretch to say a HUMAN would die from these conditions. Because of this, I don't think these will show up when RGB is acting out scenarios on how he may have died. Instead, I think these will be used in a more lore-filled dream, since the events in the photos have more relation to RGB's character.

The first photos are of Charlie and Buster posed in bathtubs, with those omnious reblogs. My guess is that these photos will be referenced in a dream where RGB ends up in a bathtub and yeah I won't beat around the bush here these are most likely about Negative!

BATHTUB = WATER

WATER = NEGATIVE

And since RGB knows about Negative now, it makes sense he'll have a creepy dream about him at some point!

The next is a clip of Charlie lost in a mirror maze. I'm not great at understanding tone through text, so I'm slightly confused as what Mod means in this reblog. Do they mean 'it's going to be hell' as in it'll be hard to draw/write? Or do they mean it'll be sad?? Or hell for the characters??

Anyway, I still have a good guess as to what will happen in this dream mirror maze. RGB will look into his reflection and see Negative and/or Human RGB. We all know RGB has major identity issues, so putting a horror spin on a mirror maze will be a great way to drop lore about him! The classic comedy scenario of 'not knowing which reflection is real' could be symbolism on how he doesn't really know who the real him is.

Though, lately I've been noticing a running theme of me thinking of a theory but never saying it and then it ends up to be true sooooo just in case I do have one note to make about the mirror maze. Even though I HIGHLY doubt it, it is possible this scene won't take place in a dream at all, but in The House of Lead.

The House of Lead is also black and white, has lore relations to RGB, can create rooms and change its shape at will. Overall, it's very similar in aesthetic to RGB's dreams. It's not outlandish to suggest that RGB could get separated from Hero in the house and end up in this room. This was the place where Hero told RGB about Negative

Plus, this staircase was already styled to look like Negatives eye! This could just be a neat visual gag, but it's worth mentioning.

But the reason I'm so hesitant to say it'll happen in The House of Lead is because it feels much too SOON. Mod made these posts 10 YEARS ago, so it's clear their playing the long game. I really have no way to predict when these references will pop up, but either way, I'm super excited!

Overall, it was actually really fun watching all these silent films and now a keep imagining RGB doing a bunch of other, more silly, stunts. Please comment if i missed anything though!

bob was likely born sometime in april (both of his birthday episodes were released in late april which isnt STRICT evidence but its a big coincidence) and considering the kids weren't in school in either episodes he would probably be born during spring break. it probably changes every year depending on what days are weekends but for the purpose of having a definitive date im gonna say

bob was born april 22nd

gene is canonically a sagittarius (november 22nd to december 21st) and this checks out bcuz we see him as a newborn baby in their family christmas card. however he definitely isn't a NEWBORN newborn so he was likely born in late november and obviously we can't know an exact date (for any of them) but

(fun fact this also means gene was probably conceived on valentines day!!! yayy)

linda was pregnant with louise during their christmas card photo and she looked about seven or eight months pregnant. definitely on her third trimester meaning louise was born in january or early february. obviously we don't get much mention of louise's birthday in the show so im going to go ahead and say

WE KNOW tina was born during the school year bcuz in her birthday episode she gives out invitations to all her classmates at school and that couldn't have been more than a week before her party so that means she couldn't have been born anywhere near spring break, winter break or summer vacation (sorry summer baby tina truthers) we also have another reference to her birthday in the season 12 finale when linda is worried about what to get tina for her birthday and we also see tina is going to school during this episode. we don't have too much in those episodes that points to a specific season other than it NOT being winter (bcuz tina is wearing her warm weather clothes) but considering both her siblings are winter babies i like to think that tina was born in late spring :) maybe sometime in may but before school is over for summer vacation (and we know it cant be too close to school getting out for summer vacation bcuz thats referenced very heavily in the movie)

Hi, I hope this is okay to ask. Is there a form of prompting is less intrusive than hand over hand prompting but that still counts as MSN? I've read your blog and some other blogs and can't figure it out (I also struggle with understanding things, so I'm sorry if I'm just missing something). Please let me know if you need me to rephrase this. Thank you in advance.

I'm guessing you read my longer post on support needs based on mentioning prompting in relation to "counting" as MSN because in there I said something like, I personally wouldn't consider someone MSN if they only need reminders not prompting. It's been a little bit since I wrote that so I do actually have a few additional thoughts on that first.

So basically I do think if you need regular prompting for bADLs it counts as MSN regardless of what type of prompt you do need. But there is some nuance there because every generalized statement is not gonna be accurate in 100% of the cases. For example I know people who rely on visual prompting for some bADLs but can live alone & considers themselves LSN, because theres no other person needed for that. Or someone who does not need prompting for bADLs but needs supervision to keep them safe, who I would not consider LSN. So yeah, Nuance.

Also, this is very nitpicky, but I think a standard reminder does theoretically count as "prompting". Because all prompting is usually defined as is "an action to help someone complete a task they are (currently) unable to do without this help". So a verbal reminder theoretically counts as a verbal prompt, and a written reminder as a visual prompt. The thing is, I seperated reminders from prompting because it generally isnt how prompting is talked about in regards to tasks that require multiple steps (aside from the fact that it also usually is a completely different amount of effort & time needed to complete compared to other prompting). Verbal & visual prompting, in all situations I've seen where it is about multi step processes, these are broken down into all (or most of) the little steps. Like, you could call a reminder a non broken down prompt and theoretically have it be accurate, but that's not how we really use the word prompt & the word reminder already exists for this specific action so. Yeah.

Anyways to save you some googling heres what I think commonly is the different types of prompting:

- proximity control: getting close(r) to someone to remind them of the task they're supposed to be doing. Obviously only works if it's already established what they're supposed to be doing (& I'm assuming staying by their side so they keep doing it, in some cases)

- verbal: saying the step they're supposed to do out loud. So like, "grab the toothbrush" then "put on the toothpaste" etcetc (contrasted to a "reminder" style thatd simply be "brush your teeth" without the additional steps. Verbal prompting pretty much exclusively refers to the multi step system) - also sometimes used to get people to speak verbally / use specific words by prompting stuff like "say: [specific thing]"

- visual: a (series of) drawing / photo / text. Basically the same as verbal but not necessarily reliant on another person to be there (the whole time.

- gestural: pointing at things for the task / direction of the task. Probably also in more intense ways "miming" the task, such as acting like you're brushing your hair with an invisible hair brush so they copy the behavior. Closely related to the next

- model: actually doing the same task as them in front of them. In that case you'd use an actually hairbrush and brush your hair, making them follow along with their own.

- physical: this is where hand over hand comes in, but it's not the only way. Less invasive (?) options include moving the elbow / wrist / ... , as well as not doing the full movement this way & only "nudging" them for the start of the action, stuff like that.

These can also all be sort of mixed and matched. Someone might pair gestural with visual. Pointing at the different pictures of the steps of a task. Or physical with verbal. Etc. Whatever seems to work best.

Also not necessarily the point of this ask but I cant stop myself from including this bit: prompting isnt the only way people with autism are cared for. I mean, some things are really hard to prompt for especially (some) iADLs, like how do you prompt someone to control their finances?? You need to understand abstract concepts for that. You can prompt parts of it like "take out x amount of money" then "give it to the cashier", "how much did you spend on x this week" etc but in the end none of these prompts generate an understanding of the abstract concepts. so sometimes it doesnt make sense to use in the greater scheme of things of learning specific things. Or they just dont seem to help in the long term (I have complicated feelings on whether they should be stopped in that case, but like. It is a thing that happens). Or also, sometimes people would need physical prompting, but they react (really) badly to being touched like that, so the thing getting done for them instead of as a physical promt might be more helpful. since it often requires less touch. (For example someone brushing your teeth for you, them holding the toothbrush on their own, touches you a lot less, compared to someone holding your own hand down with theirs on the toothbrush, or holding onto your wrist.)

😅😅 this makes me feel like a bad writer but i feel like most of my headcanons will just be in the story ? i do have a lot of ideas that build the main couple up but maybe I should have some ideas that are separate..

headcanons (READ AT YOUR OWN RISK bc most of these will be in the story later):

-nayeon has penis envy. she tried to use the bathroom designated for alphas as a kid and got in trouble. shes comfortable and doesnt have dysphoria but she does really want one. she has an absurd collection of straps in every length and thickness to please the omegas she hooks up with -jeongyeon's first gf was significantly older than her and it was an *interesting* dynamic -momo is an omega who has only ever dated omegas. shes been in love with mina since they met -sana is capable but was not ambitious in school so she worked low stakes jobs after college before taking a sales (phone operator) job at jeongyeon's company. she worked on a different floor before she was promoted to a contract hire (her current role) and happened to spot jeongyeon 1.5 years before the start of NYNFGF. she had a huge crush on her and immediately tried to meet her but was unsuccessful. thats why shes so casual about offering to help jeongyeon and hooking up with her, she never forgot about jeongyeon (but she isnt obsessed) -jihyo isnt closeted but is pissed at having to perpetually come out as an alpha who is into alphas. she likes really masculine types who are never into her -mina had some internalized homophobia before she dated momo and tried to date alphas. all the relationships ended badly (she also had bad taste in alphas) and she is kind of an omega version of a misandrist

SMC will show up at some point but have very small roles so i'll save their details for the story

style wise she wears suits (black or gray with a white collared shirt and simple tie) to work but doesnt wear the jacket when shes at her desk. i dont have any jeongyeon references here bc all the suits she has worn have been too fitted or too baggy. i imagine this jeongyeon to have less of a feminine body/less curves so the suit does fit her more like a man (loose, isnt tight on her hips or bust). her height is supposed to be the same IRL but if ppl want to imagine her a little taller thats fine too

Sana i imagined her close to how she is now, but maybe less supermodel looking? less thin, with a fuller face, but with brown hair. i like this IGY pic bc its recent but she doesnt look intimidating hot like she does in her Prada ads..

style wise she dresses very in line with japanese fashions, except her clothes are kind of simple and structured. she doesnt wear clothing with a lot of ruffles or overly feminine patterns but always looks very feminine in contrast to how simple her clothes are if that makes sense?

a simple search even within tumblr tells you people already know about this. the account, the story and the cat. you aint fooling anymore

if unsure kids, ask a friend and google things 👍 reverse image search, for example, is your best friend!! also googling the latter half of the given paypal name reveals immediately that this is a scam. plastered all over the first search page lmao

also kids, in case youre asking "well what bad could a one little me reblogging a post even if its a scam do if i dont donate :/" 1. im sorry what and 2. it makes them look legitimate which they are not. the more notes the more trusted the source cause tumblr is full of idiots (sorry not sorry ive been here for over 11 years i know what people are like) plus you put your friends, mutuals and followers in a risk of participating in a scam. and have your name associated with it as well. do i need to go on?
