Hihi!! I just read your Sevika HCs and I absolutely love them!! I wanted to know if you could (please) write HCs for Sevika and Vi after an argument with their partner? :) Whether it’s an argument the reader started or they started can be completely up to you! Or you could even do both scenarios if you prefer! 💕
Thank you and I hope you have a nice day/evening 💖
🖤Sevika and Vi after an Argument🖤
men dni men dni men dni men dni men dni men dni men dni
🤎Sevika🤎
I don’t think arguments would be common in a relationship with Sevika.
When she locks into a serious relationship, she means serious. She covers all the important bases for a healthy relationship; communication, loyalty, respect, trust, and so much more.
Covering these bases, especially communication, helps to avoid frequent arguments.
It won’t completely cut out the occasional argument though.
When you two do argue, it’s almost always about bigger things. For example, her working so much and not taking much time for herself, or maybe her drinking and smoking.
Post-argument time usually has as “how can we avoid this in the future” moment where you guys have a heart to heart about whatever started the argument.
If you start an argument:
Be prepared to apologize first. And only apologize if you’re really sorry.
You should always finish what you start, after all.
Your apology may be met with an affectionate an eye roll and a huff.
She never stays mad at you for long.
Once you apologize she usually makes space for you wherever she’s sitting and wraps her arm around just to let you know it’s really okay.
If you’re just apologizing because you feel like you need to, don’t. She can see right through you if you’re bullshitting her.
If you’re stubborn like her, sometimes apologizing can genuinely be difficult. She gets that. Which is why her patience with you is a blessing.
Again, when you’re ready to apologize , she’s affectionate and accepts it.
If she starts an argument:
This woman is stubborn. For her to apologize, it just doesn’t feel right.
She’s only ever been truly sorry a few times in her life. In the Undercity, living a life like hers, she never had time to be sorry.
Being sorry gets you hurt. It gets you killed.
But…
It’s obviously different when it’s you. You aren’t a big bad wolf waiting around the corner. You’re her partner, her ride-or-die.
In the heat of the moment, what she said felt right. It felt like something you needed to hear.
The thought of you feeling hurt by something she said just eats her alive.
She comes to you first.
It isn’t anything crazy, usually just a simple, gruff “I’m sorry.”
She’s awkward and stiff about it, but completely genuine.
Asks what she can do to make it up to you, if anything.
❤️Vi❤️
Violet runs hot. She isn’t a loose cannon but someday’s it can be hard trying to keep all of her emotions under wraps.
This has definitely lead to arguments over petty things like dishes in the sink or eating the last of her favorite snack.
It’s also lead to arguments about very serious things. Her pit fighting, drinking, and her occasional impulsivity.
Arguments always hit her hard, even the petty ones. No matter how old she gets, arguments always make her feel like a little kid, just waiting for the ball to drop. The ball being losing you.
That feeling of dread, like this argument could be the last, if that makes sense.
Physical touch is usually present in the make up process after an argument. It helps ground her.
The good news is, the two of you always make up very quickly.
If you start an argument:
If the argument is a petty spat about dishes or snacks, she still apologizes first, albeit rather begrudgingly.
This links back to her feeling like this argument could be the last. What if she never hears “You promised you’d take out the trash this week” ever again?
You, however, shut that down. “It’s my fault, I should be the one apologizing.” You tell her.
These arguments are extremely easy to come back from because you two are always on the same level. Two halves to make a whole, equals
There isn’t a point in staying hung up on petty nonsense for long.
If you start a big argument, you apologize first.
She distances herself and you have to go to her.
You’ll usually find her someplace where she shouldn’t be, like a bar. Or, you might find her someplace safe, like with Loris or another friend she feels comfortable around.
Not only should you apologize, but it would also be a good chance to thoroughly explain why you’re upset or might think something is a bad idea.
Once you do that, she’ll open her arms up to you and usually things can be resolved somewhat easily after that.
If she starts an argument:
Again, she apologizes first.
If she starts an argument, big or small, the dread of possibly losing you over this hits her like bricks.
For smaller arguments, she approaches you casually. If you let her, she’ll wrap her arms around you. An apology hug, if you will.
Says, “I’m sorry, baby,” in the softest voice she can muster.
These smaller arguments are always easier to come back from just because she’s so sweet. How can you ever stay upset when she’s such a sweetie?
Big arguments are something else though.
After she’s said whatever it is that she’s said, the weight of it all is suffocating.
If she said something really stupid and hurtful in the heat of the moment, she might need some space for a bit. Things like that take her back to that day.
But she’ll come to you when she’s ready.
May or may not have a little gift for you for extra measure. Usually it’s something simple like your favorite candy bar.
She tells you she’s sorry and explains why she got so worked up. Usually this leads to a steady and warm embrace and you let her know it’s okay.
hello!!! thank you for the request ♥️ please let me know if you enjoyed it or not. i had so much fun writing these. i kind of got carried away with vi’s headcanons 🙈. . i was purposefully vague about what started the argument so you can sort of imagine your own scenario for why the argument started!🎠

lord please save her for me
paige bueckers x fem oc
hello! welcome to my new fic, i hope u like it! please let me know what y’all think, i have each chapter planned out but i’m not sure when i’ll update again. probably soon lmao 💋👩❤️💋👩🪽🌟
chapter one:
leni knew the first time she saw paige again it would feel like a kick in the stomach but to say she felt winded was an understatement. the sight in front of her had her breath stuck in her throat, heart beating out of her chest and her head spinning, she had to rest on the wall to balance herself. it wasn’t out of character for paige to be here. it was frat party at the beginning of the semester. paige was almost guaranteed to be here. but leni would have betted her life that the blonde would’ve come with her friends not the red head, wearing barely any clothes that was latched onto her arm currently.
“you good babe?” leni’s girlfriend, riley asks from beside her. she reached out a hand to rest on lenis back but the curly haired girl shrugged her off, “im fine. just feeling hot. can you get me some water?” leni asks in hopes to have a moment alone with her thoughts to process what she just saw. paige with a girl that wasn’t her. her paige with a girl that looked nothing like her.
despite having a girlfriend herself, leni was far from a hypocrite. a year ago leni was bearing her heart, all but begging paige to turn thier friends with benefits deal into something more serious. they already spent evenings laid together in bed. weekends walking around target or studying together. off days lounging around each others apartments. they were only fucking each other too. what would a title change? apparently a lot to paige.
leni tried for days but paige could not be swayed, shaking her head and furrowing her brow each time leni brought up the idea of them being girlfriends.
“i just don’t do that kind of thing len.”
“what we have right now is good. why change it?”
“i’m focused on basketball, i don’t need distractions.”
leni reached her breaking point, telling paige it was either they make it official or they never see each other again. she couldn’t continue in ‘will they, won’t they’ cycle. leni had caught feelings for paige. feelings so deep she wanted to shout it from the rooftops and it felt like her entire world crashed down when paige said it was best if they didn’t see each other again.
leni cried for days on end. buried under her duvet, waiting and wishing for paige to call or text and say she was wrong. to say she cared for leni they way leni cared for her. but no call or text came and eventually leni had to pick herself up and dust herself off. life doesn’t end when a blue eyed girl breaks your heart.
paige saw leni as soon as she walked in. of course she did. paige would spot leni in a sea of a thousand people. her bouncy curls, longer than the last time paige saw them, her brown skin, still showing the remnants of summer, her dark brown eyes, deep as ever as they flitted around the room. paige also saw the blonde girl next to leni, the way her hand touched her back, the way her lips pressed to lenis temple. paige wanted to punch that girl right in the face.
“where are you going?” camilla, paiges girlfriend asks as paige begins to walk away from her, “just to find a toilet. i won’t be long.” paige lies and she hurries off before camilla can say anything in response. paige wasn’t going to find a toilet. paige was going to find leni and she knew exactly where she would be.
“let me guess. you needed some fresh air.” hearing paiges voice made lenis hairs stand on end. she hadn’t heard that raspy drawl in so long she had forgotten what it sounded like. “you never did like parties.” paige says standing next to leni on the front porch. leni refused to look at paige, staring straight ahead, she focused on a street lamp in the distance that flickered. “i still don’t.” she says and in her head, her voice was strong and brave but her lips betrayed her and her words came out shaky and low.
“why are you here then?” paige asks, ever the curious girl. “i came with my g- a fri-” leni couldn’t bring herself to say the word girlfriend to paige. it was stuck in her throat threatening to choke her. “your girlfriend. you can say it len. you came with your girlfriend.”
“yeah. i did. i came with my girlfriend. looks like you did too. never knew red heads were your thing.” leni all but spits at paige, finally building the courage to look at her. and when she does, the past twelve months of healing and moving on completely unravel and leni feels as though she about to faint.
paige looks the same but simultaneously so different. her hair is still blonde but it’s shorter and a lot brighter, like she’s just had highlights. her skin looks smoother, in fact she’s glowing. leni was sure she’d grown a few inches too, paige was always taller than her but not this much taller. and as bad as leni was trying not to look, it was clear paige had been in the gym. the crop top she wore exposed her toned stomach and muscular arms and leni’s heart rate quickened as memories of those very arms being wrapped around her not so long ago flashed in her mind.
“are blondes your thing or just girls that look like me?” paige retorts and leni scoffs, “get your head out of your ass paige. girls that don’t treat me like i’m nothing is my thing.” paige feels limp as leni says that, did she really make leni think she was nothing?
paige had a difficult time with relationships. she branded herself as ‘not a relationship girl’, blaming her focus on basketball as the reason but paige knew that was bullshit. paige wanted nothing more than to have a girl in the stands cheering for her, to come home after practice and her bedroom not be empty but growing up all paige knew was turbulent relationships and broken homes and she vowed to never hurt someone the way she watched her parents hurt each other. and the only way she knew how to do that was to avoid relationships altogether.
“you weren’t nothing to me, len.” paige defends herself but it feels pointless, lenis feelings were written on her face, she always found it hard to mask her emotions and nothing had changed.
“i’m sorry. what i did wasn’t fair. i was stupid, so fucking stupid. letting you go-” leni couldn’t hear this. not here, not now. not ever actually. leni had gone through hell and back trying to get over paige, just ask her friends who had hugged her while she sobbed, forced her eat when she refused, literally picked her up off the floor multiple nights in a row after she drank enough wine to make her forget paige ever existed.
“paige, stop. this conversation is futile and one year too late.” leni holds her hand up to stop paige from saying anymore. to stop her from saying the words she was begging to hear last year.
“i’ve changed len. i promise. i tried so hard, i worked so hard to change for you. i want to show you that.”
“have you lost your fucking mind? i have a girlfriend paige and so do you. i’m happy. someone loves me, cares for me and it’s not a secret. it’s not behind closed doors. i’m someone’s girlfriend and they’re proud of that. and it’s fucked up of you to say all this stuff now, all this time later. i wasn’t enough for you and that ripped my fucking heart to pieces!”
“you were enough. you are enough. i was just blind and scared.”
leni was fighting the tears that threatened to spill, she didn’t want to cry in front of paige, give her the satisfaction of knowing she still affected leni.
paige couldn’t bare to see leni cry, the way her eyes glossed over and nose turned red, the way her lip quivered made paiges heart pang with guilt because after all, she was the reason leni was crying. “please don’t cry. i meant what i said. i really am sorry. and i know it’s complicated but i couldn’t not tell you this. i couldn’t not at least try it would feel like i’m robbing us of a chance.”
leni has averted her gaze again, there was something about holding eye contact with paige that felt like two hands around her neck squeezing every last breath out of her. it was suffocating and all consuming. when she was around paige, leni didn’t feel like she was in the same realm as everyone else, she felt transported to somewhere far away but she had to bring herself back down to earth before she did or said something she regretted.
“a year ago you looked me in my eyes and said it would be for the best if we never saw each other again and you were right paige. i shouldn’t have come to this stupid party and you shouldn’t have followed me out here. from now on, we go back to how it was before. you don’t know me. i don’t know you.”
“but i do know you len and you know me. so well.” paige does what she’s been dying to do since stepping outside with leni and she reaches out and touches her cheek. wiping a stray tear but her hand lingers and lenis eyes flutter closed at the feeling of paige. a feeling she’s craved for so long now, a feeling she’s dreamt about experiencing again.
paige has always felt a magnetic pull towards leni. the first time she met her, she was intrigued. she wanted to know more about the dark, curly haired girl. they sat for hours the first time they spoke then they ended up in paiges bed and paige got her wish of knowing more about leni. she knew leni so well it was as if she’d studied her. she knew what made her tick, how push her buttons, how to make her feel good. paige could read leni like a book, answering her questions before leni even asked them. that’s not what scared paige though. she knew she could control her feelings. what scared paige was the fact leni knew her in the same way. if paige bueckers was a book, leni had every word committed to memory.
leni placed her hand over paiges, still cupping her face, “paige, i can’t-” she begins to speak but paige cuts her off. “tell me you love her more than me. tell me what you have feels realer than what we had. tell me that and i’ll leave you alone.”
leni couldn’t say that. she couldn’t say any of it because it wasn’t true. she’s never loved anyone the way she loves paige and she doubts she ever will. but leni needed to protect herself. paige hurt her and leni couldn’t cope with that again and she had no reason to believe paige when she said she’d changed.
“don’t do that.” leni says looking at paige, her eyes as blue as ever, round and soft, pulling leni in. “don’t make this my decision. you walked away from me.”
“and it was the biggest mistake of my life.” paige says, eyes flicking down to lenis lips. she wanted to kiss her so bad. push her up against the wall, press her body into hers, one hand on her hip, the other in her hair. she wanted their lips to be on each other’s, she wanted to taste lenis cherry lip balm, tongues moving in sync as they meshed into one being.
“a mistake you’ll have to live with. i care about myself too much to risk being destroyed by the whirlwind that comes along with you paige.” lenis voice breaks as she turns away from paige as much as she believed paige was the reason they never worked out, she couldn’t help but feel like she walking away from what she’s always wanted.
“leni please-” paiges voice also faltered as she tried to pull leni back but the girl was strong and determined, “goodbye, paige.”
leni had no time to ruminate over the conversation and just about managed to wipe her tear stained cheeks before riley appeared in front of her.
“there you are! i got your water. who were you talking to out there?”
“no one. no one at all. let’s go dance.” leni says, plastering the fakest of smiles on her face. she didn’t worry that riley would notice because riley rarely noticed anything.
leni spent the rest of the night knocking back drinks and willing herself to stop glancing at paige but it was near impossible. the six foot, one hundred and sixty pound girl was alluring to say the least and with her also staring back, leni was beginning to lose composure.
“kiss me.” leni asserts, grabbing on to rileys shirt collar, pulling her down. riley looks confused but she would never deny kissing her beautiful girlfriend so she presses their lips together, leni deepens the kiss, her tongue slipping into rileys mouth but it’s not right. it doesn’t feel right. it’s not paige. and that makes leni feel sick. she’ll never kiss paige again and she’ll search for her in every girl but it’ll be pointless because no one could compare. no one could even come close.
now breathless from a phoney, drunken make out session that left nothing but the sour taste of beer in her mouth, leni pulls away from riley but her eyes immediately go to where paige was stood just minutes ago. but the athlete is gone. the only sign of her once being there was her girlfriend, now left holding two drinks. “i’m going to the bathroom.” leni mumbles and she slips away from riley, leaving her too, with a drink in each hand.
the multiple drinks leni had consumed in quick succession were catching up to her and her body swayed as she walked around the frat house looking for paige. she swung open random doors, bursting in on one too many explicit activities that she wish she never saw. “sorry, my bad.” she muttered quickly closing another door. she continued her search and by the time she reached the end of the hall, with no sign of paige, she actually needed to pee.
the bathroom was occupied but leni couldn’t wait, she knocked on the door over and over, “if you’re in there fucking, get out! i’m about to piss my pants!” she shouted over the music and she heard the lock click before the door slowly opened, “you never were very patient.” paige emerged from the bathroom and leni felt like this was fate. “i was looking for you.” she slurred, glancing up at paige. “you were?” leni nods, her eyes are glassy from intoxication, “i hate you for hurting me.” leni mutters but her actions do not resemble hate, they are needy and frantic as she pushes paige backwards into the bathroom, knocking the door closed with her foot.
“you hate me?” paige asks, hearing those words hurt but feeling lenis touch on her chest as she shoved her against the wall overrode any of that. “uh huh.” leni nods again, her hand now travelling down paiges chest and gripping her waist. “how much do you hate me?” paige tucks a piece of lenis hair behind her ear and leni leans into the touch, “so fucking much.” lenis breathing is ragged now as she pushes herself against paige, the craving she had for this woman was carnal and she doesn’t know how she managed to stay away from her for an entire year.
“you know im sorry. im different now len. hurting you is my biggest regret.” paige caresses lenis cheek, rubbing her thumb in small circles, she missed the feeling of her soft skin under her fingertips, “and this might just be mine.” leni says as she stands on her tiptoes to reach paige, crashing their lips together for the first time in over three hundred and sixty five days.
the kiss is sloppy and heated and influenced by the copious amounts of alcohol both girls had in their systems. paiges hands found lenis waist and she moaned into her mouth as her fingers explored every dip and curve on her body. leni felt like she was drowning and paige was air, she needed as much as she could get, nipping at paiges bottom lip before slipping her tongue into her mouth, saliva mixing to create the concoction that both girls missed so much.
“leni, are you in there?” there was a knock at the door and the voice of riley made leni jump away from paige, “it’s riley.” she whispered, eyes wide, “just be quiet.” paige whispered back. “leni?” rileys voice called out again and leni was violently brought back down to earth.
what the hell was she doing? in a frat house bathroom with her ex friend with benefits, kissing her when she had a girlfriend. when they both had girlfriends. this wasn’t leni. it wasn’t who she was and she wouldn’t hurt someone. she wouldn’t allow herself to.
“no. this was a mistake. we’re drunk.” leni fixed her appearance in the mirror, smoothing down her tossled curls that paige had messed up, wiping the smudged lip liner from her cupids bow and re-adjusting her shirt that had been pulled down exposing the lace of her bra.
paige watched her silently, blue eyes several shades darker as they glared into the mirror at lenis reflection. leni caught her gaze and for a split second she considered listening to paige and staying silent but riley called out her name again, “im coming!” leni responded and without so much as a glance at paige she unlocked the bathroom door and closed it tight behind her. leaving paige alone and confused, wondering what the fuck just happened.

Declan O'Hara imagine - I'm not doing this.
A/N: I thought about this one shot weeks ago... finally writing it. Probably been done already by someone else but who isn't obsessed with rivals atm. I also haven't written in years.
Summary: Declan is fighting against himself and everything he believes in when you come into the picture.
Warnings: Age Gap, fem!reader, NSFW content 18+, strong language, bit of a slow burn.
"Taggie, honestly, I don't know why you'd ever willingly add Brussel sprouts to anything." You chuckled as you both crept through the door to the kitchen.
"They're good for you!" Taggie tried to defend her culinary choices for her Sunday lunch.
"If they're good for you then I always want to be bad."
"Who's being bad?" A thick Irish accent filled the room as Taggie's dad sauntered in, a mug of coffee in one hand with his other burrowed deeply into his trouser pocket.
"Dad, this is (Y/N). (Y/N) was just objecting to my sprouts."
"Oh yeah, I agree, terrible things. Even the dog won't eat 'em" Declan brought his mug to his lips, smirking through the thick moustache that hid his upper lip.
You felt your insides alight at his dark, playful expression as he teased Taggie.
That was the first time you knew you were a bad friend. A bad friend who wanted your new friend's father to lift you onto the kitchen table and bury his head between your thighs.
The thought made your cheeks burn red as you laughed at Declan's remark and Taggie's complaints against him.
The man left the kitchen when his eyes flitted back to you, sending you a nod and a 'lovely to meet you, (Y/N). '
You couldn't help but replay the way he said your name in your head over and over and over again until you were desperate for his voice to sing it again.
The next time you saw Declan O'Hara was at the O'Hara New Years Eve party.
"You better not spend the whole time in here. I'd actually like you to put a dress on and come out to dance at some point tonight." You pleaded with Taggie as she clasped your necklace for you.
"I'll try but I can't make any promises. Anyway, you're out there to be my eyes and ears. You need to tell me if anyone complains about the food, okay?"
"Yes, Taggie. But no one will because you are amazing and your food is amazing and you are so right for not letting me help you cook or serve after I burnt the soup last time." You faced her as she continued to prep the ingredients she would need for the feast she had planned.
"You are a great friend but you are a terrible cook." Taggie agreed. You felt a lump in your throat at the words. Were you a great friend for literally fantasising over her father after almost every time you had an interaction with him? "Now please go next door and make sure that all the tables have the right cutlery for me?"
"Anything for you, Agatha!" You headed to do as you were told. Looking down to smooth out your dress when you felt yourself collide with something solid.
"I'm so sorry!" You looked up to see Declan turning, laughing softly at your clumsiness.
"It's okay, love." Declan's own eyes fell down your body, his lips parting slightly as he took in the sight of you all dressed up. He knew you were an attractive girl but you were Taggie's age and one of her only friends in the surrounding neighbours beside Lizzie. "You look beautiful."
The sincerity in his voice caused a chill to roll up your spine.
"Thanks. You look very handsome too, Mr. O'Hara." You didn't know why you felt so shy around him. You were so used to owning your space and holding your confidence when you fancied someone.
"That's very kind, (Y/N). And it's Declan. I don't want to tell you again." Declan send you a wink as he started to pass you. "Hey, and no snogging my son at midnight. You're way too good for him."
Your heart squeezed at the taunt. Patrick was a gorgeous boy and he had tried to flirt with you when he met you but you were far too interested in Declan for Patrick to make any dent in your crush.
"He's not my type anyway." You managed to find your tongue to quip back an answer.
"Good girl."
Good Girl.
You had to bite the inside of your cheek to stop yourself replying something entirely inappropriate in response.
As the night went on, you felt your heart drop more and more. Declan was obsessed with his wife. His wife was obsessed with anyone else.
You were desperate to try and make more conversation with the man but almost everyone was grabbing his attention to discuss some work matter or other.
As the countdown began, you gut wrenchingly watched as Maud and Declan kiss. You put on a smile and exchanged celebrations with those around you. Giving Lizzie a kiss on the cheek as her husband blanked her as he usually did.
"Happy New Year, chicken." Lizzie pressed on a faux smile as you did.
"Happy New Year, Lizzie."
"A little advice for your new years resolution if I may?" Lizzie whispered as she drew you closer.
"You may want to get better at hiding your admiration for Taggie's father. I know nothing hurts more than something you can't have." Lizzie's words took you back, you felt your cheeks burning red and your smile drop.
"Oh, Lizzie, I'm mortified! Please don't tell Taggie." You begged.
"Not a peep." Lizzie motioned locking her lips with a key before grabbing your hands to singing sway along with the room.
The night went on and Lizzie tried to encourage you to join in festivities. You drank more and more, being forced away whenever you tried to help Taggie wash up, and you soon found yourself needing some quiet time.
You let yourself into Declan's office, leaning against the desk, fingers gripping the underside to give you some stability when the room started to ever so slightly spin.
You closed your eyes. Inhaling a shaky breath when you heard the door creek open.
"I thought someone unwanted had decided to sneak through my things." Declan's melodic accent forced your eyes open.
"I'm wanted, am I?" You smirked slightly, through the sickness as your eyelids closed again.
Declan didn't respond. Instead he just studied you from across the room. His hands in his pockets, his stance leaning back just ever so slightly.
"You struggling there?" Declan was amused at your state.
You tried to push yourself off the desk but instead felt yourself stumble forward.
Declan's amusement quickly turned into concern as he stepped forward to catch you.
"Steady on." Declan had managed to stop you from hitting the floor, your face pressed against his chest, his strong arms engulfing you as he pulled you up towards him.
"I'm so sorry..." You mumbled as you leant away to look up at him.
His features were so strong up close. You could smell the whisky on his breath as your eyes lingered on his lips.
"Maybe we should get you some water and put you to bed."
Declan's words drew your eyes to his own. His chest seemed to go tight as he starred down into your glassy (Y/E/C) eyes.
"You can take me to bed any time you want, Mr O'Hara." Your words slurred together with your weak attempt of drunkenly flirting.
"It's Declan."
"Okay, Declan..."
That was the first time Declan had heard you say his name. Something inside him knew he wanted to hear you say it again but he fought against the thought, pulling away from you as you gained your stance.
"Let's hope you don't remember this in the morning, ay?" Declan tried to make light, convincing himself the electric feeling he had was nothing.
"Why? I finally got my chance in your arms. My dream come true."
"Yeah, you really won't want to remember this in the morning. Come on..." Declan opened the door, waiting for you to follow suite. The noise of the party echoed around you; you had almost forgot it was still going on outside.
"Have you ever thought about me?" You had no idea where this liquid confidence had stirred from.
There was a pause before he answered.
"No." He was lying. He knew he was lying. He watched the disappoint subtly encase your eyes as you pursed your lips into a thin smile.
"If I was dreaming, you would've said yes. Goodnight, Mr O'Hara."
"Goodnight, (Y/n)."
-------------------------------------------------------
As the weeks went on, rivals became friends. Friends became rivals. You grew closer to the O'Hara family and the moment from NYE had simply been forgotten. Or so you thought...
The dread that had filled your gut that New Years Day after you remembered the incident brewed inside of you for weeks. You had successfully avoided Declan, only seeing him in group scenarios and meetings for Venturer.
"(Y/N), I left some of my flyers on the table in the living room if you want to use them." Taggie climbed into her car, shouting over at you as she rushed off. You both had been going door to door for Venturer in different areas to cover more ground but you had run out of flyers to hand out.
"Thanks, Tag!" You rushed inside, running through the house that still held a cool air inside despite the early summer warmth outside.
"Careful!" You heard a voice proclaim as your bodies hit.
Within the blink of an eye, you had hit the floor with a body on top of you.
"Are you alright?" Declan groaned as you winced underneath his weight. The hard floor sent a wave of pain through your back but you had managed to not hit your head.
"Ow." You grumbled, squeezing your eyes shut.
"Did you hit your head?" Declan propped himself up on his arms, examining your face with a furrowed brow of worry.
"No." Was all you managed to say.
"I thought we had left bumping into each other for last year." Declan recalled on when you knocked into him last New Years Eve before the party had started.
"Clearly I'm not very good at keeping to New Year's resolutions."
Declan chuckled, pushing himself up before offering his hand.
You felt the warmth of his body leave you and the coldness of the floor pierce your bones.
You took his hand; hauling yourself to your feet.
"You sure you're okay?" Declan insisted. His hand reached out to take grip of your waist, his thumb and finger burning against your skin that had been revealed by the edge of your venturer top riding up. His other finger waved past your eyes, checking for concussion.
"I'm fine. No more running in the house with blind corners." You took a step back from the man, straightening your shirt to try and control the lingering feeling of the mans hand on you.
"Now... are we okay?" Declan rephrased,
"What do you mean?"
"(Y/N), don't play stupid. You've avoided me for almost half a year now. You won't even walk around the house without Caitlin or Taggie next to you."
You didn't think that Declan would've noticed with how busy he was with work and his life. Why would he have cared where you were or what you were doing in the house?
"I'm still living down my behaviour at New Years." You reluctantly admitted.
"What, that? Everyone says stuff they shouldn't when they've had a few too many. Doesn't mean you have to never look me in the eye again."
"What I said was completely inappropriate."
"Yes, it was. You're the same age as my daughter and I'm a married man but I'll have to admit I'm a little flattered." Declan tried his best to ease your anxiety. "I don't exactly see myself a teenage heart throb."
"I'm not a teenager." You bit back, the harshness your voice surprising you both.
"There's not much difference. You're practically a child and should be going for someone your own age." Declan quit the joking tone he had been using, taken back by your defence.
"Don't call me a child. I'm not the same age as Caitlin. I am older than Taggie and I've been with men before so I'm not playing silly little girl games over here. This isn't some school girl crush on a handsome teacher. You're right my feelings for you are inappropriate because you're a married man and I'm friends with your daughter but not because of my age. I know who I am and what I feel." A fire lit up your chest as you finally had broken out of the timidness you hated.
"You have no idea what you're talking about." Declan took a step closer to you, his stare burning into you as he lowered his voice.
"You're the one who reads people. Tell me what you see in me." You matched him, standing so close to him you could feel his breath on your face as you gritted your teeth.
The air was thick. The silence of the house engulfing you both, your breath audible and quick. You thought you could almost hear your heart thudding against your chest.
Declan was the one to break away. Storming to his office with a hard slam of the door.
How did your conversation turn so heated?
That night Declan tossed and turned, his head filled with moments of you. He rolled over and gently woke up his wife with soft strokes on her shoulder blades.
"What?" Maud hummed, rolling her head over her shoulder to Declan.
"I'm awake." Declan pressed himself against his wife.
"I can feel that." Maud looked at him through a sleepy gaze.
"Let me touch you." His fingers glided over her skin until he reached the space between her legs. Maud moaned quietly as Declan began to part her folds with his finger.
"Declan..." Maud sighed as she pressed her backside into him, feeling his member hard against her.
Declan wasted no time in entering her. He closed his eyes as his dick pressed inside his wife. And all he could see through the darkness was your eyes looking up at his. The first time he had seen you in the kitchen. The bump in the hall, the incident in his study, every time he had caught you intensely listening to one of his speeches to the group, the crash against the floor. You underneath him. The tiny bit of skin his hand had managed to caress from the bottom of your shirt.
He had never thought of you before. Not with Maud, not with his own hand and imagination and he couldn't make sense of why that night he finished almost as fast as his inexperienced teenage self had once before.
-----------------------------------------------------------
It had been Declan's turn to avoid you from that day. He couldn't be too close to you without feeling his throat go dry, a sickening guilt and twisting conflict rising with it.
It was the evening you'd find out whether Venturer was a real contender against Corrinium.
The O'Hara house was filled with people eagerly waiting except one who had decided to leave the house for good.
The house erupted in cheers and celebrations as the phone call confirmed it for you all.
You watched through the window as Maud drove off, leaving Declan and Taggie behind.
"We did it!" Taggie squeezed you tightly before embracing her father and to your surprise, Declan had also pulled you into a tight hug. You had hoped no one picked up on the slight awkwardness that left the embrace when Declan moved onto join the others. You couldn't help but feel it.
The party went on and you tried to keep an eye on Declan without making it too obvious (like Rupert and Taggie had failed to).
When Rupert left Declan's side for another whiskey, (Taggie swiftly disappearing just after), Declan slipped away to his study. You followed.
"I'm sorry about Maud." You made your presence known as you watched him place his glass down on the desk, his back to you when he replied.
"Don't."
"Fine." You clenched your jaw, unsure of what to say next at the warning in his tone.
"What do you want from me?" Declan's voice had a hint of desperation. He turned to face you. You had seen this look before.
"I don't––"
"––No 'cause you followed me in here. You are everywhere I look. I can't even get a wink of sleep most nights without dreaming of two things. You or beating Tony fucking Baddingham. And I can't think of you because you're young enough to be my daughter and I'm a fucking hypocrite for telling Rupert to stay away from Taggie when I look at you in that dress and wonder what you would look like with it on this floor right now. I'm not doing it. I can't do this."
Declan's outburst kept your feet frozen in place. Had he really just admitted to wanting you as badly as you wanted him.
You felt your hand roll the zipper of your dress down your side, your body moved without force as you slipped the straps over your shoulders and let it fall to the floor.
"Fuck..." Declan barely breathed out the word. His stare devouring every inch of your skin.
"I'm not doing this." Declan uttered again barely even audible as if only to himself before striding towards you. His fingers found your hips as he thrust you against the door.
His lips were on yours before your back found the solid wood behind you.
You reached up and wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling yourself up towards him, trying to bring your body as close to his own as possible. You needed every gap between you gone. You wanted to feel the heat of him even on this sticky summer evening.
"What am I doing?" Declan broke away and dropped to his knees, placing a firm hand on the middle of your stomach to hold you flush against the door.
There was a deep hunger in his eyes as he lifted one of your thighs up onto his shoulder, never breaking his gaze from your face to almost check if what he was doing was allowed.
You threw your head up, trying to find the air he had stolen from you, one hand finding a grip within his dark curls as your welcome reply.
"Please." You whispered.
Declan moved your panties to the side, a finger running over your folds, sending fire against your skin before he closed his mouth around you.
You let your eyes roll back as his tongue darted across your clit. Electricity filled your body with every moment of contact.
You felt his fingers circle lightly around your entrance. Your hand jumped from his thick curls to tightly grip the back of his own that pushed against your stomach. His grip on you felt as if it were all that was holding you up.
"You want me this badly?" Declan asked with a mixture of teasing and shock. The wetness of your heat coated the tip of his fingers and glistened on the dark hairs of his moustache.
"I've imagined this so many times." You admit honestly.
"I best live up to your expectations then." Declan inserted a finger inside of you, causing a sharp gasp to escape your lips, which made Declan's cock twitch inside his boxer shorts. "Shhhh"
You placed your free hand over your mouth to which Declan smiled a toothy grin at you.
"Good girl" he purred.
Declan rose to his feet as he placed another finger inside of you, thrusting them in and out of you in a painfully slow motion that only made you ache for more.
Declan turned the lock on his door with his other hand before pulling himself away from you completely.
You pouted at the lack of contact to which he tutted.
"So impatient." He uttered as he undid his belt, pulling it from its loops and then kicking his trousers down.
Your eyes fell on the large member pressed against his underwear. The tip seeping precum through the material in a dark stain.
"Go to my desk." Declan ordered.
You almost ran over, Declan caught you by the waist and lifted you up onto it. Spreading your legs with his knee.
"Are you sure you want this?" Declan stripped himself of his shirt, revealing his chest covered with dark thick hair that you reached out to touch. This didn't feel real.
"More than anything." The words were so quiet but Declan seemed to hear them as he freed himself from his underwear.
You reached behind and unclasped your bra.
"Jesus..." He took a handful of your breast, squeezing you firmly as he stroked his member.
"Declan, please." You couldn't wait any longer. The ache pained you.
Declan didn't need to be told twice.
He tore your underwear down your legs and pressed his tip slowly into you.
You bit down on your lip hard to stop yourself from making any noise.
"Holy fuck..." Declan failed at being quiet. You were so tight against him he felt he could've finished inside of you within minutes.
You reached forward and hooked a grip behind his neck, encouraging him deeper inside of you.
"Fuck me please." you pleaded, trying to move your own hips to create some friction.
Declan took the hint and began thrusting into you quickly. His fingers almost bruising your skin as he held you steady on the desk.
The rattle of the belongings on the desk seemed to echo around the room alongside the slapping of skin.
Declan lifted you up, still inside of you and gently placed you down on the floor.
He hovered above you, just like he had once before, watching your face twist in pleasure as he fucked you.
You squeezed his shoulders, your nails leaving an impression whilst he brought you closer to your climax. You pressed your hips up into his creating hot friction against your clitoris, making you throb inside.
"Declan..." You tried to let him know; still trying to whisper to stay quiet.
"Cum for me, princess." Declan smirked, his stare never faltering as he rode you through to your end. He could feel you tighten around him only encouraging him to fuck you harder and deeper.
You bit down on your hand as your climax convulsed through you. Your body shaking in between Declan and the floor.
Declan moved you both effortlessly, lying on his back with you sat on top of him.
You leant ever so slightly forward, steadying yourself with your hand stretched out against his chest.
You smiled wickedly at him as you rolled your hips.
You felt exhausted by your own finish but knew you wanted to see the older man in the same state.
"That's a good girl." Declan held onto your hips, helping you pick up your pace.
His lips parted as he watched you ride him, sweat dripping down your skin mixing with his own as his dick twitched inside of you.
"Fuck (Y/n)." Declan cursed.
You shifted your hand to his neck, Declan almost laughed, flipping you again so that he was behind you. Both of you on your knees as he held you against his chest, his hand wrapped firmly around your neck with his opposite arm securely around your middle.
The sensation was almost unbearable as his thick member pumped in and out of you at such speed.
"You think you want to be a bad girl?" Declan hissed in your ear.
You could only shake your head.
"Bad girls get punished." Declan bit hard down on your shoulder and you fought to not cry out in a mixture of pleasure and pain.
"You're mine now." Declan's own proclamation brought himself to his own climax. He pulled out, spilling his seed over his own thighs to avoid finishing inside of you much to your own disappointment.
"I know you wanted that inside of you like the dirty girl you are." Declan teased you as he gave your throat one final soft squeeze.
You fell against him, both trying to catch your breath.
"Declan?" A voice and a knock came at the door.
"Shit..." The realisation of what had just happened and where it just happened hit Declan like a cricket bat to the face.
"I'll be out in a mo." Declan scrambled for his underwear and you did the same.
"Hurry up! I know that's where you're hiding the good stuff!" Bas' voice was more evident now and whilst he was definitely talking about the whiskey. The both of you couldn't help but laugh.

Hiiiii, I really love your Yan! Sentinel x Prime!Reader, also your SentinelxReaderxStarscream are the best as well! I am a huge fan of both works and both characters, your writings are so *chef kiss* Can I request a somewhat mix of both please? Maybe the Prime!Reader are close with Starscream and it makes Sentinel angry/jealous? Obviously you don't have to, but if you do write for it please take your time :3
Prime!Reader/Starscream/Sentinel
tw: jealousy, rivalry (between Starscream&Sentinel), gender neutral reader. word count: ~1270 a/n: good to know you enjoyed my other fics~ sorry for making you wait too long! the last weeks are exhausting ~_~
Being one of the 13 Primes is no simple task when you have to stand between two fires.
The incoming attack from the Quintessons didn't give you a single cycle of peace either. Over and over again, you've had to brainstorm a new plan with your brothers and sisters on how to push the enemy away from Cybertron. It's exhausting.
At times, you long to lock yourself away in your own chambers, switch off your audio receptors to finally get a break from it all. But luck never seems to be on your side. Every new day started with a new problem, and for some reason, you only had to hear about it from two bots you knew.
Starscream and Sentinel.
Your day could start with an early call from Starscream, where your subordinate, though not literally, hinted at having him accompany you at all times. His presence is absolutely required!
Well that's just Prime.
But when you hear a knock on your door, you don't have to guess twice to find out who it could be. When you finally open the door, standing before you is none other than your faithful servant, Sentinel.
“You look as beautiful as ever,” Sentinel smiles as he looks in your optics. “And your armour is so wonderfully polished, as I can see.”
Starting your afternoon meeting with compliments was something he was used to, even if his attempts to charm you with his speeches never worked. You are many cycles older than him, Sentinel's behaviour only amuses you at best.
“Zeta Prime would like to discuss something with you, let me escort you to him,” he holds his servos behind his back, taking a couple of steps back from the doorway.
“Zeta wants to see me?” you have a momentary thought. In the current time, that means another long meeting, hours of planning and working out...You nod.
“After you,” he humbly motions for you to go through first, his bright blue optics just drilling your own.
As you walk through the long corridors of the tower, the loud clacking of heels comes from somewhere behind you.
“There you are! I've been waiting for you for like practically half an hour now! Where were you all the time...’ Starscream says in annoyance, his wings twitching faintly as the high guard notices...him.
For a moment, a spark of competition runs between your two subjects. Fortunately, or not for them, it never caught your attention, though perhaps you simply preferred to turn a blind eye to it. You have too many responsibilities right now to waste time on those two.
Sentinel still holds that casual pose, helmet tilted slightly, as if the mere sight of the enraged flyer gives him some kind of enjoyment. It doesn't even help that he's standing behind you, you can't even see that nasty grin on Sentinel's face! Oh, how that slimy, hypocritical glitch is annoying-.
“Not now, Starscream. I'll deal with this later. Wait for me here,’ you calmly respond, then turn around and disappear behind the doors of the hall, where the rest of the Primes are already waiting.
The door slams shut, leaving the high guard and the advisor alone. Starscream frowns, his red optics aimed at Sentinel, who looks equally displeased.
Even though Sentinel was lucky enough to see you first today, the advisor had to come up with all sorts of excuses for you to pay the slightest bit of attention to him. He's occasionally lucky because you prefer Starscream's company to his own! Or so he thinks at first. As one of the Primes, you spend a lot of time on the battlefield, which makes you more often accompanied by Starscream.
Sentinel hates that. Most of the Primes, even Zeta himself calls on him far more often than you do! He's YOUR advisor, how can you care more about some guard?
Knowing Sentinel, if you were even with him for almost all of your time, any side glance would make him extremely jealous.
“You're doing this on purpose. Wasting their time on something that isn't helpful in the war,” Starscream crosses his arms over his chassis, not even hiding his displeasure.
“Me? I would never ,” the Sentinel makes an indignant look that is painfully unserious. “I'm just a mere asvisor to them, helping out with a word here and there. Are you afraid of getting screwed, perhaps?’
“To whom, you? Don't be ridiculous,” Starscream rolls his optics, then steps closer to the Sentinel. “They hardly notice you.”
“You want to bet, Screamer?”
“Bet.”
You don't know how long it's been since you left them alone, but by the time you arrive, Starscream and Sentinel are there, waiting for you. Not a hint of hostility between them, which is surprising. Whatever had happened there during your absence, they had found another target.
After that day, you completely forgot about such a concept as “peacefulness”. Every day, personal space was violated by one of them. If Starscream insisted on accompanying your every move, Sentinel would surely find another reason to distract and then steal you away from poor jet.
It went on like this time after time until you decided to end this madness once and for all.
When Sentinel unexpectedly received your message, he was hardly strong enough not to give the slightest sign of how extremely pleased he was. You, waiting for HIM, in your chambers? Oh, how much that could mean....
How surprised he was to see none other than Starscream at the door- Oh, lovely. Just when he's fantasising about nice things, you find a chance to ruin his dreams.
Had you left them alone for a split second, another fight would surely have broken out, but luckily neither of them have time to utter a word before you suddenly open the door.
“Come in.”
Starscream and Sentinel throw each other a quick fleeting glance, but not another word and they enter your room. It's large, rich, in your style. They've rarely had the chance to be here, even for a moment.
You stand beside your desk, seated in the centre of the room. You can recall many nights spent at it, searching for solutions to Cybertron's problems. Your gaze is neutral, though inside you are far from calm.
“May I ask the reason why you decided to call me and...’’ Sentinel pauses briefly before looking at his colleague again. Starscream gives him the same look, as if daring him to make yet another annoying comment.
“Your behaviour,” you begin first again, closing your optics for a moment, trying to remain calm.
“It's all Sentinel's fault,” Starscream blurts out sharply, pointing at the blue-and-gold fur.
“Of course— stop. What?!” Sentinel exclaims, now it's his turn to be outraged.
“Incompetent, arrogant toady, he should have been removed from his position a long time ago, ” Starscream continues to recount, which can't help but cause Sentinel's optic to twitch.
“I'm talking about the both of you.”
Well, that certainly got their attention. And thankfully, so did shutting up.
No matter how tempting the idea of removing the two of them from their positions and sending them away, you can't raise your hand and dismiss them. How lucky you are that one of your brothers, while drinking high grade energon, blabbed to you about everything and gave you some wonderful idea.
“Whoever completes as many of my errands as possible during the week will receive a special reward from me.”
You pause again for a moment, watching their reactions. Both of your best subordinates look startled, but, extremely interested. For that reason, you continue.
“I expect excellent results. Don't disappoint.”

iv. ekko x gn!black!reader hcs
a/n: they got me yall.
sorry for whoever followed me for tlou content we'll be having a brief intermission i'll come back to them in a minute js let me get this out my system 😭🙏🏾
warnings/tags: no use of y/n, no mention of reader's features (except for being black, but it's only in a few points 🤷🏾♀️ so it can be read otherwise), arcane s2 spoilers (minor), sfw and nsfw hcs, (oral sex, kinks, riding), in some au where everyone is happy and nothing bad ever happened 😊, never proofread we ball 🔥
______________________________________________
sfw:
- i feel like ekko is a bit shy (awkward shy though, not shy-shy...does that make sense) when you first get into a relationship with him, and it's just because he's shocked that he's managed to get with you. at first he's stumbling over words, playing off your compliments, desperately trying to keep eye contact with you but if he does he just keeps smiling because you look so good.
-one time, while riding past you on his hoverboard, you waved at him. he waved back, but even as you walked away his eyes kept following you. if it wasn't for scar warning him at the last second, he would've crashed straight into a wall.
- his cockiness comes later into your relationship, every successful action he does followed by a grin that you roll your eyes at.
-and did y'all see the way he looked at powder in ep. 7? his puppy dog eyes are LETHAL.
-he doesn't even know it either. every time he wants something, he just looks at you with those eyes and murmurs "please, ☆?" you fold so quick.
-(you've tried to learn to resist his eyes as they are what caused you to sprain your ankle in a hoverboarding accident since he begged you to race him. he just wanted to show off, too. he didn't stop apologizing for weeks.)
-he usually doesn't really like people touching his hair. he's fine with the kids doing it from time to time, but in general it's not his favorite thing in the world.
-you, however
-you get a pass because you get it. you know how it feels for your hair to just be like a petting zoo from time to time. you know exactly how to help him care for his hair, so much so that he's stopped doing his own retwists. (not like they stay in for very long, you immediately help him sweat it out 😊)
-he's made a lot of random little things for you, like a small chain necklace with an empty locket. he kind of sucks at wrapping gifts though, so he just handed it to you with a stupid smile while you two were perched at the top of the firelight tree.
-"ekko, this is so cute," you mutter, your bottom lip jutted out in adoration as you inspect the delicately crafted chain. small mistakes here and there, but you loved it.
-he also learned how to sew just so he could make you a bonnet/durag. he even sewed a crude little "e" in the corner of it, and made himself one with your initial in it as well.
-will randomly shadow box you out of no where. it's some form of cuteness aggression or something, because you'll be talking about your day while absent-mindedly twiddling with the hem of your shirt, and suddenly there are fists flying towards you that he knows to never let connect.
-"...ekko, the fuck are you doing?"
-he makes small noises that sound like "shoo" every time his fist flies, watching you stare at him with an unimpressed look.
-saw someone else say this but yeah ekko can't hoop. sorry
-he CANNOT hide his facial expressions. he may tell you one thing, but his face will never lie. if you're out eating and you feed him a bite of your food, you can watch his face contort into one of disgust, so much so that he almost looks offended. upon realizing that he doesn't want to yuck your yum, he'll fix his face into the fakest smile you've ever seen and nod.
-"...ekko, go spit it out."
-you've never seen him reach for a napkin any quicker.
-idk who the arcane universe's michael jackson is but, when he was younger he absolutely learned all the dances.
-probably the biggest softie the world has ever seen. he's very tough in public, but once he closes the door behind you two and climbs into bed with you, he's clinging onto you like a sloth.
-if you like painting your nails, he'll (hesitantly) allow you to paint his nails to match yours.
-(these next few ones are sliiightly for me 🤭)
-loves when you draw on his arms.
-until he can't get whatever marker you used off of his skin in the shower, so now he's walking around looking like a coloring book with little flowers, hearts, and signatures on his arms.
-he hangs up all the drawings you make of him up along his work space. sometimes he forgets one and leaves it on his desk, so it's a pleasant surprise to find a drawing of himself among scattered and disorganized papers while he was cleaning up.
-has gotten used to you randomly biting him. you'll come up behind him while he's working, and he already knows it's coming when you rest your chin on his exposed shoulder. 2 seconds later, your teeth are sinking into his skin. he just chuckles, but he does ask once.
-"why do you do that?"
-"oh, i dunno. i just like doing it. 's how you know i like you."
nsfw (very brief i'm sorry):
-praise kink. you couldn't tell me otherwise
-loves giving praise, loves receiving praise.
-when he's giving you head, he almost does it for his own pleasure. feeling your hand rub against his undercut while you whine and mutter "fuuuck, ekko, you're so good. don't stop please" is all he needs
-and i'm glad we've all agreed he's a thigh guy too 🙌🏾
-and IK we say this about every fictional man but HE WHIMPERS.
-he starts off with groans and grunts, but the closer he gets, the more his voice starts to shake and his words start to become whines.
-he looooves when you ride him holy shit
-looking up at you while your face contorts in pleasure is absolutely on his top 10.
-and if you stare into his eyes while you do it? his soul has left thanks!
-in general he loves eye contact. when you look up at him with his length between your lips, you can see his brain start to short-circuit.
-he's definitely the type to make sure you finish first before he even gets to think about his own pleasure.
-he's usually super sleepy afterwards too, but he refuses to lay down for a second until he makes sure you're all cleaned up and comfortable before he's out cold on your chest.

you can call me boyfriend for the weekend
I posted this earlier as a link to ao3 but I know some people like to read things straight on tumblr so this is for you people lol As noted, this was supposed to be a short little ficlet inspired by unfortunate "Black Out Wednesday"/hook up with someone in your hometown pre-Thanksgiving ritual and then Steve got a backstory and Eddie wanted a POV and it spiraled out of control like most of my work lol Also I wrote this all in twelve hours and it's not beta read at all lol but enjoy! And please ignore the wonky timeline. It's canon-divergent/no Upside Down. But basically in my head, all the normal things that happened to Steve/Eddie still happened in this universe and they got close during the Autumn months of 1986. I think that's all you need to know! wc: 8.8k | rated: M Read on ao3
The Hideout is unusually packed.
In hindsight, Steve should have figured as much. It’s not like he’s the only former resident in town who needs a shot or two (okay, maybe three, but who’s really counting other than the barkeep logging everyone’s tabs) of liquid courage before heading home to spend a few days with family. The overflowing parking lot and illegally double and triple-parked cars on the street are still a sight to see when he steps out of the Yellow Taxi.
Maybe he should have taken the cute stewardess up on the alcohol offer on the plane. Would have saved him a couple of bucks that’s for damn sure. Still, every time he was about to, Robin’s nagging voice would pop into his head, spewing one of her nonsense rambles about the importance of being fully coherent on an airplane, lest they have to land the plane as if he’d have the skills to land a plane in the first place. And yet, he remained stone-cold sober on the couple-hour flight into Indianapolis from Boston just in case.
Sure, there’s liquor at his parent's house — at least, he hopes they haven’t packed up the dry bar if they did, he’s really fucked this weekend — but he needs something now to keep the anxiety bubbling in his chest at bay. And last time he checked The Hideout is the only place within a twenty-mile radius that can serve up a quick, cheap drink. Plus, there’s the fact that the Yellow Taxi he took here from the airport has already disappeared into the night, and he’s not about to go inside to call another cab without buying something; that would be rude.
In yet another surprising twist, that shouldn’t be surprising given the parking situation; there’s a small line of people waiting to get in. In the nineteen and a half years he spent in Hawkins, Steve’s never seen a line in front of The Hideaway. He knows for a fact that the place never had a bouncer, much less one who meticulously cards everyone who walks in.
Well, everyone but him it seems.
Steve doesn’t even get his wallet open, much less out of his pocket, before the man is wrapping a bright orange ’21 and over’ wristband on his wrist. Which, like, ouch. He knows he just got off a flight after working a half-day shift at the stupid office, but he can’t look that much like an adult. Can he?
Thankfully, there’s no time to dwell on his fleeting youth as he’s pushed into the crowded bar with the rest of the customers who patiently waited their turn in the frigid Indiana November evening.
The familiar scent hits him the second he’s more than three steps through the opened doors — stale beer, nicotine, the undeniable musk bodies emit when they’re dancing and, well, horny. But there’s also something new going on, too. Crisp leather, a piney scene that can only be associated with floor cleaner, and something minty, peppermint, he thinks, maybe for the upcoming holidays. Gone is the stench of piss that no amount of power washing the concrete floors could ever scrub up. Steve notices the concrete floor is gone, too, apparently, as his shoes squeak against the shiny black laminate.
There are a few new booths from the looks of things, and the stage has gotten a major upgrade since the last time he was here to see… He shakes the thought from his head and keeps walking until he finds an open spot in the corner of the bar.
A bartender materializes the second his ass makes contact with the new vinyl seat. She looks vaguely familiar, too young to be in his class, but maybe someone from Henderson’s year. He figures he’ll be downing glasses of expensive wine when he finally musters up the courage to go home, so he orders a shot of tequila and a rum and coke in the meantime. She pours the shot right there, excusing herself to grab the rum bottle from one of the other bartenders working tonight.
He grimaces as he shoots it back, tequila burning his throat as it goes down before he sucks the sliver of lime between his lips. It’s impossible for the effects to kick in this fast, but he already feels the tension easing from his shoulders. He uses the reprieve from his anxiety to really take everything in. The Hideout may have gotten some major upgrades, but he can’t say the same about its patrons.
It’s a real who’s who of Hawkins High has-beens. Andy and a couple of younger guys he remembers playing ball with his junior year of high school, all wearing their Greek letter crewnecks, downing beers and slapping each other on the back. Jason’s in the center with his arm around a stereotypical-looking blonde who is clearly not from around here. Heather Holloway is unmistakable, pressed into a booth arguing with some guy Steve thinks was on their swim team while their three kids jump around unchecked. And is that Chrissy Cunningham with… Gareth? That nerd from Dustin’s D&D group? Steve makes a mental note to bring it up with Dustin when the little shit calls him next because holy shit.
It takes him a minute to spot Tommy and Carol, but once he does, he doesn’t know how he didn’t see them sooner. They’re pressed up against each other, practically dry-humping in the middle of the makeshift dance floor. Tommy’s got his tongue shoved down Carol’s throat, and her hand is fisted into his buttoned shirt that’s definitely a size too small.
Somethings never change, he thinks, rolling his eyes as the pair stumble their way towards the bathrooms at the opposite end of the bar.
Steve’s about to turn back around and disappear into the shadowy corner he’s found himself in when the static feedback of the seemingly brand-new speakers goes off, sending every patron in the bar covering their ears.
“Sorry! Sorry!” A man calls from the makeshift sound booth a few yards away from Steve. “Give it another go for me?”
“Check one, check one, two. Sounds great, Frank. We’re all set up here if you are,” a woman says from the stage. Steve figures she gets a non-verbal cue from Dave because then she’s talking again, her voice bright and way louder than it needs to be. The giggle that comes next is even worse. “Hi everyone! Lots of familiar faces in the crowd tonight.”
It takes his eyes a minute to adjust to the bright spotlight illuminating the stage, but when it does, he nearly falls out of his seat. Is that?
“Anyways, I’m Tammy, and these are the Townies, and we’re Tammy and the Townies!”
Holy shit! It’s Tammy Thompson. The Tammy Thompson. Robin is going to be so pissed when he calls and tells her about this tomorrow morning. She’ll probably say that he was just seeing things, blame it on the single shot of tequila he’s had since he’s still waiting for his drink, but he knows the truth. Especially when Tammy launches into the opening lines of “Santa Baby,” trying her best to be sultry but still sounding like a rejected Muppet.
Someone chuckles behind Steve, before an all too familiar voice says, “I haven’t heard that one before.”
His first thought is: Shit, did he say that out loud?
And then comes something even worse: Wait, I know that voice.
All the anxiety the shot of tequila chased off comes surging back to Steve, swirling in his gut, threatening to creep up his throat and out his mouth. No. He’s not going to throw up in The Hideout after one shot, not with the entirety of his high school class in attendance. And definitely not in front of Eddie Munson.
There’s no doubt in Steve’s mind that it's anyone but Eddie Munson standing behind him and the bar. He would know that voice and chuckle anywhere, could pick it out in a line-up if he had to after the fall of 1985 when they— nope, not going there.
The way he sees it, he has two options. One, get the hell out of here without turning around. It’s dark in the corner, so there’s a chance Eddie hasn’t realized who he’s talking to yet; in fact, Steve’s pretty sure if Eddie knew who he just spoke to, he never would have opened his mouth to begin with. So, yeah, he could get the hell out of here, maybe leave a couple of bucks at the opposite end of the bar on the way out so he’s not drinking and ditching, and then hail a cab and head to his childhood house.
Or, he could woman the fuck up, as Robin would say, turn around and meet the gaze of a man he hasn’t seen since he was nineteen, confused and desperate to make something out of himself.
He weighs the cons: spend a few extra hours with his parents or face Eddie Munson, the only person other than Robin to ever see him. The real him.
The answer is easy.
“Well, well, well,” Eddie says, sizing Steve up with those big doe eyes of his the second Steve turns in his chair. “If it isn’t Steve Harrington in the flesh. What the hell are you doing around these parts? Thought you left to go make daddy dearest proud?”
Ouch.
Steve should have expected Eddie not to mince words, even if he is a paying customer and all. He doesn’t allow himself to get a good look at Eddie, meeting him with his own mean-spirited retort instead.
“Guess I should have known you’d still be around, Munson,” Steve snarks. Eddie wants to play? Steve’ll gladly participate. “Still flunking out of high school?”
“Now that one I have heard before.”
Eddie doesn’t stick around for a response. He slams Steve’s rum and coke on the bar counter and gives it a rough shove. The glass slides across the sleek countertop before crashing into Steve’s awaiting hand. The drink sloshes in the cup, a few droplets spilling out, but Steve doesn’t have the energy to wave Eddie down and demand a replacement, so he shuts up and brings the now half-empty glass to his lips. He takes a much-needed gulp and then another, alcohol going down better than the shot from earlier, dulling the regret from his mean-spirited retort with it. He sulks for a moment before letting his eyes drift behind the bar. Searching.
If The Hideout is crowded, the bar is just as congested. At least four bartenders shimmy around each other. Hands reaching for various bottles, glasses clinking as ice falls in. It’s the most people Steve’s ever seen behind the small bar top, and he’s willing to bet it’s more than they’re legally allowed.
Fire code and all that.
Not that he knows much about that.
Not yet, at least.
He will once he starts his Fire Academy classes in the new year.
That is, assuming his dad doesn’t kill him the minute he finds out about his career change.
That’s a problem for tomorrow, Steve thinks, shaking the thought away and chasing it further by draining the rest of his drink.
“Can I getcha’ another round?” The young bartender asks, reappearing like a damn bar fairy.
Steve’s not sure he’s fully thought his order out, too preoccupied stealing glances at Eddie, but his lips start moving anyway, words escaping before he has a chance to stop them, “Actually, can I get a Vodka Party Punch with pickle juice instead of pineapple.”
“Pickle juice? Are you sure?”
Shit.
No.
Yes.
Steve quietly contemplates changing his unusual order, tilting his empty rum and coke glass to his lips, desperate for another teaspoon of liquid courage. He’s met with the cool sensation of ice hitting his teeth instead. Another not-so-subtle sneak at Eddie, and Steve doubles down. “Yeah. Eddie should know how to make it.”
“Oh, uh, ” the bartender says, nervously glancing to her right.
Steve follows her line of vision, giving himself permission to do more than glance this time, and finds Eddie on the opposite end tossing around bottles and the shaker like he’s fucking Tom Cruise in Cocktails and not a super-senior who half the town was convinced was a Satanist.
“Let me see what I can do for you.”
Steve gives her his best customer service smile and a quick nod before watching her shuffle through the other bartenders on her quest to get to Eddie.
He lets his eyes linger as Eddie finally doles out the drink he’s been working on. Five years and some change has been good on him. His hair is still as unruly as ever, twisted back in a low bun at the base of his neck. Tending to the bar has clearly served his arms well judging by the tone biceps peaking out from under his black shirt. It’s done wonders for his entire body, if Steve’s honest, sizing up the way he finally fills out his jeans.
Eddie turns just so, new piercings catching in the reflection of the spotlight from the stage. Steve catalogs them, a few new ones to his ears, a hoop in his left nostril. There’s new ink, too, decorating his strong forearms and peeking out from the collar of his shirt.
Steve’s attraction to Eddie isn’t a surprise, especially after the Fall of ‘86. But it’s like a match has just ignited a new flame in the depths of his body. He looks good, is all. Really, really good.
Steve’s pulled from his not-so-subtle ogling when the young bartender finally gets Eddie’s attention. He can’t hear the conversation, but he spent enough time around Eddie to know what the man is saying without even looking at his lips. Her back is to him, but Steve knows the minute he brings up the drink because Eddie’s body goes stiff, his head jolting toward Steve, eyes growing wide as he glares at him from the opposite end of the bar.
For a moment, Steve thinks he’s truly fucked up. Well, more than he did five and a half years ago when he let his dad convince him to set him up with a job in Boston that forced him to leave without saying goodbye to anyone, least of all Eddie. But then he sees the moment Eddie’s stubbornness sets in, clouding his eyes and forcing his chunky boots to stomp through the hoard of sweaty bartenders.
“Did you come all the way home to fuck with me?” Eddie barks, still a foot and a half away from him.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Cut the bullshit, Harrington,” Eddie snaps, hands smacking onto the countertop.
When Steve doesn’t say anything, Eddie rages on. If it wasn’t for Tammy Thompson’s wailing in the background, Steve’s pretty sure they’d have everyone’s attention right now. Thank God for Tammy Thompson.
“Seriously? Pickle juice!”
Steve’s hit with the familiar woodsy, nicotine smell he spent months chasing around town as Eddie drops to his elbows, leaning in closer to Steve. For a second, he thinks Eddie is going to deck him, at the very least fist his hand into his shirt and yank him forward, but he doesn’t.
“I know damn well you’re not ordering Vodka Party Punch with fucking pickle juice at the fancy bars wherever you ended up. What makes you think you can order one here now?”
“You’re right, I don’t order them in Boston,” Steve says, answering the question Eddie really didn’t ask. “But I’m ordering it now because you’re the creator of the drink, and I know you’ll make it taste right.”
Steve watches Eddie’s jaw drop. The bar is dimly lit but it doesn’t take florescent lights to catch the red tinting the tips of Eddie’s ears, fully exposed with his hair pulled back in a bun. It’s been a minute since Steve attempted this game with anyone, but Eddie’s always been a fun participant — especially when he’s pretending he doesn’t like it.
“I’m charging you double,” Eddie concedes, twirling the giant skull ring still perched on his finger.
“Better make it worth my dime, Munson.”
“You know I always do, Harrington,” Eddie taunts, clearly finding his footing in this flirtatious sparing match they’ve started.
* * *
By the time Eddie returns with his drink, Tammy and the Townsies have wrapped up their set for the night — thank god — and The Hideout slowly starts to empty out. With a few less bodies occupying the actual bar, Eddie has no problem sticking around, tossing his dish rag over his shoulder as he slides the Vodka Party Punch with pickle juice over to Steve, much gentler this time.
The drink smells exactly like he remembers, but the presentation has improved since their days of mixing them in the Munson’s crowded kitchen. A mini pickle is skewered through a toothpick as garnish, and the glass is tall and clean, a rarity in the mug-infested kitchen of that autumn.
Steve makes a show of his first sip, slowly raising the glass to his mouth without breaking eye contact with Eddie as he licks his lips in anticipation. Eddie’s eyes dilate the second Steve’s tongue makes an appearance, and it takes everything in Steve not to jump across the bar and shove it down Eddie’s throat a la Carol and Tommy style. He knows the Eddie from five autumns ago wouldn’t mind, but this Eddie might.
He does the next best thing instead, taking a slow sip of the drink, exaggerating when he swallows before punctuating the first taste with a low moan of approval. Judging by the smattering of pink moving to Eddie’s cheeks, it works.
“Delicious, just like I remembered.”
It’s the wrong thing to say. He knows it the minute the words leave his lips, and the flush on Eddie’s cheeks drains to a ghostly white , eyes turning to fire.
“You’re a real piece of work, you know that,” Eddie scoffs, snapping his dish towel off his shoulder to wipe the counter.
“I just, I—“ Steve groans, scrubbing a hand down his face. Leave it to him to be back in Hawkins for less than three hours and already fuck things up. “Thank you,” he finally says, eyes trained on his drink. “You didn’t have to make it, and you did, so thanks.”
“Whatever customers want, they get here at The Hideout.”
Steve can’t help but snort, “S’that a new motto?”
“It’s a work in progress.”
When Steve glances up, Eddie’s smiling at him. Not his toothy grin Steve loved to coax out of him, but his lips are definitely quirked into a grin which he’ll take as a win. Small victories and all that.
“That what they pay you the big bucks for? Slinging drinks like Tom Cruise and coming up with new slogans?”
“Something like that.” Eddie finishes wiping down the counter in front of Steve and moves half a step to his right, working on the next area that’s vacated.
Steve thinks that’s it. The beginning and end of their civil conversation, but then Eddie looks across the bar, no doubt taking in the empty state of things, before turning back to look at Steve. Really, look at him.
If it weren’t for the liquor coursing through Steve’s veins, he doesn’t think he’d be able to sit there under Eddie’s gaze. But he does have alcohol on his side, so he stays glued to his seat, his own cheeks heating up as Eddie’s brown eyes roam over his body, taking him in the same way he did with Eddie a while ago.
When he’s done, Eddie cocks his head to the side and tuts. “You’ve seen better days, Harrington. I think your eye bags have eye bags.”“Corporate life’ll do that to you,” Steve grumbles, taking another sour sip from his drink. When Eddie doesn’t throw a dig he knows is on the tip of his tongue, Steve breaks the silence. “You look good behind a bar.” Jesus, maybe he should have kept his mouth shut. “I mean, uh, how long have you been working here.”
Eddie snorts, coming back over until he’s right in front of Steve. He drops to his elbows again, pillowing his chin in his hands as he makes direct eye contact. “About five-ish years ago. Right after I graduated.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah, oh.”
“I, uh, thought the plan was to get the hell out of here?”
Eddie hums. “It was. Took the job to save money so I could do just that.”
“And you ended up loving it?”
“Hated it at first, actually, but you know we’re not all lucky enough to be able to get the hell out of Hawkins just because people tell us we should,” Eddie says, eyes boring judgment into Steve’s own. “Figured if I have to stick around I might as well try and make it better for those of us still here.”
“That’s what you’re doing, then?” Steve asks, generally curious. He always knew Eddie had a savior complex, saw it firsthand when Dustin and the rest of the kids started high school, and immediately got swept up in Eddie’s inner circle of outcasts. “Making Hawkins better?”
“Trying to,” Eddie says, and Steve can feel the walls around him shrinking, only for them to harden in an instant. “Turns out it’s a lot easier when the assholes flee.”
Steve winces and downs the rest of his drink. When it’s drained, he sets it down and fumbles through his pockets for his wallet. He gets no more than three measly bucks out before Eddie is shooing him away.
“It’s on the house tonight.”
Steve shakes his head, digging back into his wallet “Don’t think your boss’ll be happy about that.
“Good thing m’the boss then.”
Steve gawks. He’s pretty sure his jaw is fully open, but it's worth it to see the pleased look on Eddie’s face. “Shit, seriously?”
“What, you think old Dave was the one to plan the renovation of this place? That cheapskate was slinging water tinted brown with food coloring to the regulars once they got drunk enough not to tell.”
Steve laughs, but doesn’t get distracted with the anecdote like he knows Eddie hopes he will. Eddie Munson might have his heart in his sleep, but if there’s one thing Steve knows about him, it’s that he hates being emotionally vulnerable. Steve can’t say he blames him, but still, he presses on.
“Eddie Munson, CEO of the Hideout. Who would have thought?”
“I don’t know about CEO,” Eddie says, fingers struggling with the elastic holding his hair back. It takes a second for him to get the strands untangled, and when it does, his hair cascades over his shoulder in those same unruly curls Steve tried to tame once or twice. Eddie’s hand immediately finds a strand, twirling it around his fingers and pulling it towards his lips. “Owner as of the first of the year, though.”
“Eds, that’s really fucking cool. Holy shit! Congrats! I feel like we should toast or something.”
If Eddie catches the nickname slip up, he doesn’t mention it. Maybe Robin’s patenting ramble so they can’t comprehend every embarrassing thing you’ve said method actually works.
Instead, he waves him off. “Sounds to me like you’re just trying to get another round of free liquor in you before heading home to the parents.”
“Damn,” Steve says, happy to play along. “Am I that obvious?”
Eddie rolls his eyes but ducks behind the counter for a moment, popping back up with two clean cups. He blindly reaches for a top-shelf whiskey and pours just a bit too much to be considered a shot, but not a full serving either. They clink the glasses together in a silent toast before throwing back the over-poured shot like they’re nineteen and twenty again.
“You know,” Eddie says, closing the distance between them as he leans against the countertop again. “We’re looking for some silent investor, partner types to help out with financing. If you, uh, know anyone who might be interested.”
“Oh,” Steve says, liquor making his brain slower than usual.
Eddie pushes off the bar, shaking his head. “Don’t look too excited, Steve. I was just joking.”
“No, shit, I mean, yeah, I would invest. Love to even,” Steve rambles, desperate to keep Eddie from joining the rest of the bartenders in tallying up their tips. “It’s just, uh, I’m actually getting out of the investment world.”
“You don’t have to lie, Harrington. A simple no will do.”
“I’m serious. Today was actually my last day. I’m enrolled in the Fire Academy come January.”
“Holy shit,” Eddie says, that toothy grin finally making an appearance. “Way to bury the lede, Stevie! We should be toasting to you! Finally getting out from under your dad’s thumb!”
Unlike Eddie, the nickname isn’t lost on Steve, but he doesn’t have time to dwell on it. Not if he wants to keep Eddie smiling, and dammit he does. It’s the only thing he’s ever really wanted.
“I mean, I still have to break the news to my dad. But yeah, assuming he doesn’t kill me, it’s happening.
“Hey, Munson,” a bartender he realizes is Jeff calls from the opposite end of the bar. “Get your ass over here and close out so we can go home. Some of us actually want to see our families.”
Eddie flips Jeff off but doesn’t budge from his spot in front of Steve.
“I should probably head out, too,” Steve says, slowly rising from the stool. His legs are full of pins and needles, asleep from sitting so long, but he manages to stay upright.
“Wait,” Eddie says, shouting even though all Steve’s done is duck behind the counter to grab his duffle from the floor. “Did you drive here?”
Steve shakes his head. “Took a cab from the airport, gonna use the payphone out back to call another.”
“Don’t do that,” Eddie says in a rush. “I mean, I can’t let you waste your money on a cab when you’re unemployed now.”
“I’m not unemployed, I’m going to—“
“Fire school, yeah, yeah, I got that,” Eddie says, waving him off. “Just give me two minutes, and I’ll drive you home, okay?”
“Yeah, alright.”
Steve makes a show of sounding inconvenienced, which earns a dramatic eye roll from Eddie and a victory for himself. His streak of pretending not to care actually working lives on another day.
* * *
Seven minutes later, thanks to a mathematical error and a hushed conversation between Jeff and Eddie, Steve finds himself in the passenger seat of Eddie’s van. “I can’t believe you still have this thing.”
“How is it any different from you still driving the Beamer?”
“How do you know I still drive the Beamer?”
“Please, the only thing you love more than that car is Buckley. Speaking of, where is your platonic other half?”
“Still in Boston. She got asked to write an article for her grad department’s journal.”
“Ah, so she sent you to the lion’s den all on your own,” Eddie teases, slowing to a stop despite the light still being yellow.
“Figured this was one Harrington vs Harrington battle she didn’t need to bear witness to.”
Eddie gasps, clutching a hand over his heart. “My, my, it seems like us lowly mortals are in the presence of the Great Sir Stevebert tonight.”
Steve can’t help but snort. He’s missed this. The easy teasing, the openness. Eddie and his silly voices and even sillier words. He can’t believe he’s gone almost six years without him.
“So,” Eddie says, drawing out the vowel. “Isn’t Dick going to be extra pissed off that you’re showing up on his doorstep at three in the morning?”
Steve shrugs. “Probably.”
“What time were they expecting you?”
“When are they ever really expecting me?” Steve laughs dryly. “I didn’t really give them a set date. Figured if I told my dad I was flying out today, he’d figure out the whole work thing so I told them I’d try to catch a late flight after I finished for the day and be there by Thanksgiving dinner at the latest.”
“So they don’t know you’re in town.”
Steve shakes his head. “Not unless someone at the unofficial Hawkins High reunion tonight ratted me out.”
“Jesus H. Christ you caught that too?” Eddie shouts, smacking his left hand against the dashboard. “I’ve worked plenty of Wednesdays before Thanksgiving, but none of them have pulled that many of our former classmates out. I don’t know why everyone is back in town this year.”
“Back in town or never left?”
“Hey,” Eddie scolds. “Watch it. Your life is in the hands of a Hawkins townie right now.”
Steve holds his hands up in surrender and is glad to see Eddie grinning at him when he musters the courage to steal a glance. He wishes he could offer a careless smile back, but the closer they get to Loch Nora, the more he feels the anxiety creeping in again. Eddie must sense it, too, because he slows to well below the speed limit.
“I wouldn’t mind having a roommate for the night,” he says nonchalantly. Like Eddie’s talking about the weather and not offering to spend the night in Steve’s presence. Steve, the guy who disappeared on him one day after months of fucking around — literally and figuratively. The same Steve who hasn’t been back to Hawkins because he’s been avoiding this exact situation like the chickenshit he is.
“Wayne probably will, though,” Steve says, trying his best to turn Eddie down without actually turning him down. It’s not that he doesn’t want to spend the night with him. Hell, he’d sell his left arm for the chance. The problem is it’ll just be one night, and Steve doesn’t think he has that in him. Not when he wants all the nights.
“Good thing he’s not home.”
“Wait,” Steve says, turning in the passenger seat to look at Eddie. “He left you on Thanksgiving? Isn’t that against your Munson Family Code or whatever?”
Eddie snorts, mumbling something that sounds an awful lot like ‘I can’t believe he remembered that under his breath. “I told him it was okay. He’s up in Chicago spending the holiday with Scott Clarke’s family.”
“Scott Clarke? The middle school science teacher?”
Eddie nods.
“I didn’t know they were friends.”
Eddie breaks in the middle of the street, leveling Steve with a look he finds himself receiving from Robin all the time. She says people like them are supposed to know when other people are like them, but so far, Steve has yet to inherit that superpower.
“Oh, shit,” he says, finally. “I didn’t know your uncle was into guys.”
“Neither did I,” Eddie laughs. “It was a real memorable day in the Munson’s house when I found out.”
A comfortable silence falls between them as Eddie eases the van back on the rode. They stay like that for a light or two before Eddie rolls to a stop at a familiar intersection.
“Great Sir Stevebert,” he says, switching into his deep, DM voice. “It seems you have a choice to make. Shall you continue on your travels, taking the golden brick road to the lone castle on the hill, or shall you take the road less traveled and embark on the twisting journey to the Moors?”
Once again, the decision is easy.
“If you really don’t mind,” Steve says instead of a definitive answer.
Eddie whoops and makes the sharp right turn that’ll take them to Forest Hills. “Onward, Sir Stevebert, to the Moors, we go!”
_ _ _
Eddie has no idea what he’s doing. One minute he’s fighting with himself, desperate to keep his attention on the out-of-town in-laws of some Hawkins High alumni in need of a blissful night out before the family shit starts and not on the sulking figure of Steve fucking Harrington on the opposite end of the bar. And the next second, he’s ushering that same Steve up the steps of the Munson trailer like he did so many times before.
Jesus H. Christ.
He should have listened to Jeff. He should have called Steve a cab and paid for it himself if it made him sleep better at night. Hell, he should have kicked Steve out the second he mouthed off to him. But he didn’t. And he couldn’t.
Despite all the bullshit, Steve put him through, despite five whole fucking years without so much as a call, Eddie still has a soft spot for the goddamn fallen King. Time heals many things, but the love he has for Steve isn’t one of them.
Love?
No. Strike that from the record.
Infatuation.
A crush, maybe.
Not love.
Not anymore.
Eddie shrugs his shoulders, shaking the thought from his entire body, and moves to unlock the door. He gestures for Steve to enter, and Eddie trails behind, bending down at the entrance to untie his work boots and free his sore feet. He wasn’t lying when he told Steve this is the busiest pre-Thanksgiving shift he’s ever worked. He’s pretty sure his blisters have blisters at this point.
His knees ache at the position, so he lets himself fall back, ass on the worn welcome mat as he finishes the task at hand. It feels nice to get off his feet, and he lets himself linger there for a moment. A hand massaging the ache from the arch of his foot while his eyes drift up, watching Steve asses the trailer much like he did the very first time he found himself in the humble abode.
As nice as it is to get off his feet, the last thing Eddie needs is for Steve to turn around and catch him staring at him from a spot on the floor. With a quiet groan, he hoists himself back into a standing position and dusts his hands off on his jeans.
“Wayne getting rid of his mug collection?” Steve asks, breaking the silence. Eddie follows his pointed finger to the top, empty rack shelf the patterned couch.
“No, just relocated ‘m. He spends most nights at Scott’s house now. I basically own the place. Wayne refuses to let me pay the full rent, though, since it’s his name on the lease.”
Steve lets out a low whistle that doesn’t do anything, Eddie, nothing at all, and turns to face him with a look of mischief in his hazel eyes. “Now, who’s the one with a silver spoon.”
He can’t help but laugh at how absurd that sounds. As if inheriting the trailer is some kind of privilege, but in some ways it is, right?
“It’s no rent-free apartment in a big city, but it’ll do,” he says, trying his best to throw a dig back at Steve, but it doesn’t sting the way he wants it to. If anything, it makes Steve’s lips dip into a frown instead of stroking that familiar petty flame he knows stays lit in his gut.
“Come on,” Steve says, rolling his eyes. “You think Dick Harrington pays for my place in Boston? The asshole got me a shit job and told me to figure the rest out. I was lucky Robin was already there when I showed up. Her RA wasn’t too pleased, but we made it work that first year.”
Great, now he’s the asshole.
It’s such a different picture than the one he’s spent the last five years painting in his head. That good ol’ Dick Harrington shipped his only son off, far enough away that the town freak couldn’t continue sinking his teeth (and dick) into him without him knowing about it. Set him up with a good job and a nice place to sleep at night that left Steve no choice but to stay even though he knew that’s not what Steve wanted. Never was.
But that’s not the story, is it?
The real story is that Dick Harrington is an even bigger prick than he thought, and Steve is a coward. Eddie can understand Steve staying away if his dad made his new life nice for him and kept him comfortable and just shy of miserable, but he didn’t. And yet, Steve stayed in a job he hated, in a dorm he had no business crashing in because Daddy Dearest told him to do it.
A part of Eddie wants to ask why. Wants to dig his grimy finger into the still-fresh wound in Steve’s chest, judging by the grimace on his face, and get to the bottom of what the hell his dad has over him to keep in line. But what good would it do, really?
Eddie opts for a different strategy instead.
“Why now?”
Steve cocks his head, brows knitting together in that cute confused face Eddie used to love coaxing out of him with a single nerdy phrase back in the day. “Why now what?”
Eddie sighs and scrubs a hand down his face. He could change the subject, shrug off his question, and steer the conversation into calmer waters to get them through the night. But that wouldn’t be fair to him or Steve. Not in the long run.
“It’s been five years since you’ve been in town, Steve,” Eddie says blankly. “Why now?”
“My parents are selling the place,” he answers, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet. “Said they wanted one last family Thanksgiving in the place before it’s not ours anymore. It’s bullshit if you ask me. I can’t remember the last time we spent the holiday together, even when I lived here, but here I am.”
“Here you are.”
“I don’t know what I’m doing,” Steve groans, collapsing on the couch behind him. “I don’t know what it is about my parents that has me running to them every time they ask, even though they don’t give a damn about me 99% of the time.”
Eddie follows Steve's lead, settling on the couch but leaving the middle cushion open. An unofficial barrier between them. “I’m no psychologist, but it sounds like textbook daddy issues to me.”
Steve shoves at Eddie’s shoulder, but he doesn’t move, too stunned by the sudden contact to do anything else. Steve’s hand leaves his shoulder as fast as it finds it, but the effects are already in motion. Eddie’s entire body vibrates under the ghost of Steve’s touch, skin alive and hot in a way it hasn’t been in years.
Eddie turns, expecting to find Steve staring off in the distance, but instead, he’s staring at him with those open, honest hazel eyes. All it takes is one look, one single slip of his eyes to Steve’s lip and back again, and Steve’s surging forward, closing the distance between them.
Steve tastes like cheap liquor and pickle juice, and all it takes is one swipe of Steve’s tongue, and Eddie’s transported back to the Fall of 1986. Of experimenting with whatever ingredients they had on hand in the kitchen and throwing back drinks to nurse their respective education wounds — Eddie not graduating again, Steve failing to get into college. Memories of playful shoves turning into wrestling matches turning hot and heavy until lips met lips and skin, so much skin.
Five years may have passed, but it feels like no time at all as Eddie sinks further into Steve’s embrace, fingers tangling in the wisps of hair on Steve’s neck, and Steve’s own hands find themselves tangled in his curls.
It’s only when Steve moves to straddle Eddie’s hip that the reality of the situation hits him. Eddie jolts away; hands braced on Steve’s shoulders to keep a respectable amount of distance between them. He hates himself the moment he looks into Steve’s cloudy hazel eyes, but he’d hate himself more if he let this continue without checking in.
With Steve an arm's length away, Eddie studies him. Squinting as he stares into Steve’s eyes, checking for glassy, unfocused eyes, excessive sweating, and flushed face — all of which Steve has, but maybe not for the reasons Eddie is checking for.
“You’re drunk,” Eddie says plainly.
Steve shakes his head, words, not even the least bit slurred when he says, “No. Maybe a little buzzed, but that’s it. I promise.”
Something snaps inside of Eddie at those two words, releasing the anger his horniess has been holding at bay. In an instant, he feels the rage boiling inside of him, and he shoves at Steve hard enough to send him back to his end of the couch.
“With much offense, Steve,” Eddie says, venom dripping from his lips as he spits out Steve’s name. “Promises don’t mean shit coming from you.”
And just like that, they’re back where they started the evening off. Opposite sides of each other, scowling and hurt in their own ways.
Steve sighs and shifts on the couch, not-so-subtly adjusting himself in his pants. “Eds,” he whispers, pinching the bridge of his nose. “I fucked up, okay. I know I did, but what was I supposed to? My dad was threatening you just as much as he was threatening me, and it was just easier to leave.”
“Easier for you, maybe.”
“I—“
“What are we doing here, Steve?” Eddie asks, cutting off whatever lame excuse is coming next.
“I thought I was trying to apologize but clearly I was wrong.”
Eddie can’t help the dark chuckle that escapes him. “So you apologize, and then what? We fuck, you get one last blowjob by the former freak of Hawkins, and then poof, you’re gone again?” Eddie rises from the couch in an instant, sock-covered feet pacing the length of the living room. He steals one glance down at Steve and shakes his head. “I should have listened to Jeff. Should have listened to everyone and stayed the fuck away. This is nothing but a pre-holiday fuck, and I’m so fucking stupid for falling for it.”
“No!” Steve shouts, standing up now too. “I’m not, I mean, I didn’t even know you’d be at the Hideout. I just stopped there because I couldn’t stomach the thought of showing up to my parents' place sober.”
“You think that makes me feel better?” Eddie snaps. “Tell me this: if I wasn’t at the bar tonight, would you have come to find me?”
Steve says silent.
“Yeah, that’s what I thought.”
“I didn’t even know you were still in Hawkins until tonight!”
“Bullshit! I know for a fact Henderson has mentioned seeing me when he comes back for the holidays. Just stop lying!”
“You want me to stop lying?” Steve shouts, stalking over to where Eddie’s stopped pacing. He boxes him in against the new bookshelf he installed in the corner where Wayne’s roll-away mattress used to sit. With his shoes still on, Steve’s got half an inch on Eddie and it’s daunting staring up into those eyes when Steve’s jaw is set in a hardline. “I fucking love you, okay? I have for years! And yeah, I was a fucking coward for leaving, and I could have, should have called in the years since, but I was scared, okay? I was scared you figured out that I’m not worth it and found someone better, just almost everyone else in my stupid fucking life and—“
It’s Eddie’s lips that crash into Steve’s this time. The words die on Steve’s lip, and for a maddening moment, Eddie wonders if he’s broken him beyond repair. That maybe he sould have left him keep spiraling and hit rock button, but then Steve kisses him back and it’s perfect. Well, as close to perfect as they can get considering they’re both angry and exhausted and Jesus h. Christ when did Steve learn to do that with his tongue? It’s headier than the kiss on the couch, leagues better than their awkward teenage makeouts from that autumn. They’ve both grown up, practiced, and found what works, and god damn, does it work.
When they pull apart this time, it's only to catch their breaths before diving back in. Eddie gets his hands on Steve’s shirt, rucking it up and over his head in a tangle of limbs, his own shirt isn’t too far behind, flying through the air with reckless abandon. Steve’s lips find his throat and Eddie doesn’t know if he wants to scream or sink into him further so he does a mix of both, a wanton moan falling from his lips as he pulls Steve closer by his hips and ruts against him.
They’re really moving now, stumbling down the familiar hallway until they’re crashing into Eddie’s unmade bed. Eddie hovers over Steve, admiring his flushed torso and blissed-out face for all of two seconds before Steve pulls him close, whispering want you and need you, and who is Eddie to deny Steve anything, much less mutual pleasure?
They fumble with each other’s jeans, hands shoving and hips lifting and twisting until there’s nothing between them but the thick, musty air. Eddie’s hands trail up and down Steve’s body, his lips and teeth following leaving marks on his favorite moles. He licks a stripe from the dip of his waist to his belly button and back down, and Steve keens under him.
“Please,” Steve whines. “Stop teasing.”
“It’s call foreplay, sweetheart,” Eddie chirps, but ultimately gives in, taking all of Steve in his mouth in one go.
“Jesus Christ,” Steve swears, fisting a hand into the sheets.
Eddie pulls away, eyes wide and full of mischief. “First you say no teasing, then you get mad when I take you? What do you want from me, Stevie?” He cups Steve’s ball, rolling them with enough pleasure to coax another moan from Steve’s lips.
“Just play nice, Eds.”
Eddie hums, then dives back in, slower this time but still just as desperate. He’s missed this almost as much as he’s missed Steve in general. Maybe even more, if he’s honest. There are a lot of dicks in the sea, but none as beautiful and responsive as Steve’s.
Eddie laughs at the cheesy thought, and the vibrations do something to Steve to elicit the most beautiful sound Eddie’s ever heard. He almost laughs again just to hear it again, but before he has a chance, Steve’s shoving him off and flipping them over.
“Wh— what’s going on?”
“M’too close, and I don’t want cum without tasting you first.”
Despite his protests, Steve dives straight in with no preamble and Eddie feels the familiar coil of pressure building in an instant. He’s not going to last, not if Steve keeps doing that with his tongue and Jesus h. Christ he’s never going to live it down if he cums two seconds into getting Steve’s lips on him.
He tries to think of anything else. The disgusting bathrooms at the Hideout he’s going to have to clean tomorrow and the grocery list on the fridge he has to brave the last-minute holiday shoppers for, but nothing seems to work.
Eddie squirms, tries his best to get away from Steve but Steve hand settles on his hips, holding him to the mattress as he continues to move up and down. Eddie sees the stars building in his eyes without even closing his eyes and his hand moves on its own volution, finding Steve’s leaking cock and wrapping his hand around it.
If he’s going to cum embarrassingly fast, so is Steve.
He matches his strokes with Steve’s and they both fill the room with their moans and cries until finally they collapse on each other. Eddie’s hand and chest are sticky with Steve’s cum, and his own is spilling out Steve’s lips, but he doesn’t care. He pulls Steve closer, capturing his lips in a searing, sweaty kiss.
* * *
Another round and an hour-long make-out session later, they finally get up to clean themselves up. Eddie leaves Steve in his room and disappears into the bathroom. One look at His debauched self in the mirror and Eddie can’t help the smile that breaks out. If someone had told him this was how he’d be spending the early hours of his first Thanksgiving without Wayne, he would have laughed in their face.
When he returns to the room a few minutes later, Steve’s back on the bed, the thin sheet doing little to cover his lower half while his torso lays on full display, light by the warm light seeping through the cracks of Eddie’s blinds as the sun rises outside.
“Hi,” Eddie whispers, suddenly shy as he slips back into bed.
“Hi,” Steve whispers back, shuffling across the bed and making himself comfortable on Eddie’s chest.
Eddie doesn’t hesitate, wrapping an arm around Steve’s bare middle before bending the other behind his own head. He looks down at Steve, slowly drinking in the look of peace on his face and the way his eyelashes flutter against his cheeks as he starves off sleep they’re both desperate for.
“How long are you in town for?” Eddie asks and mentally curses himself. Fucking Munson, just enjoy the moment!
Steve shifts, chin digging into Eddie’s solar plexus as his sleepy eyes find Eddie’s. “The weekend, at least. Maybe a few extra days.”
“Yeah?”
“I could be persuaded,” he says, reaching up to wrap a lock Eddie’s hair around his finger. “I mean, I am unemployed until January, as you so kindly pointed out.”
A part of Eddie wants to laugh, maybe even apologize for the uninspired jab from hours ago, but there’s something more important he has to do. Even if it kills him. He tries to keep his smile intact when he opens his mouth next, whispering the words as close to Steve’s ear as he can so he can’t deny hearing them.
“I’m not asking you to stay. You have to make that choice on your own, Steve. Start living your life for you.”
Steve’s smile falters, lips twitching, threatening to turn into a pout, but they don’t. Instead, he nods, and Eddie feels the weight of his confession and the fear-strikes anticipation of Steve’s reaction evaporate from his own body.
Steve nods, turning to press a chaste kiss to the same demon that’s been etched there since before Steve became his all those years ago. “I know.”
Eddie hums noncommittally and drags his fingers through Steve’s damp hair, nails lightly stretching at his scalp in the way he knows Steve loves. “So then, what do you want?”
There’s a moment of silence and Eddie watches the seven stages of grief wash over Steve’s face before he opens his mouth again. “I can promise you the weekend to start.”
It’s not the answer Eddie wanted, but it’s the one he was bracing for. He knows better than to expect Steve to make a life-changing decision in their post-coital haze. Wouldn’t want him to even if he gave him the answer he wanted. All he really needs is the truth.
“Boyfriends for the weekend?” Eddie says. The word feels foreign on his tongue and yet just right. “Does that mean I get a front-row seat to watch you ruin your dad’s life when you tell him about the fire academy?”
Steve snorts, hot air tickling Eddie’s love-bite-ridden neck. “I mean, if you want. Might make things worse, though.”
Eddie hums in agreement. The last thing he wants is to make Steve’s day even harder than it’s going to be, no matter how much he’d love to get some face-to-face time with good ol’ Dick Harrington.
“How about this,” Eddie says, turning so they’re nose to nose in bed now. “I’ll be your getaway driver. Drive you over, and when you’re ready to leave, I’ll be waiting around the bend like old times sake. And then…” He trails off, nose bumping against Steve as he peppers his freckled face with kisses and nips. “I’ll bring you back here and we can make good use of this whole boyfriends for the weekend thing.”
“Yeah,” Steve says, breathy and more of a sigh than anything else but the sentiment is there. “That sounds perfect.”
Eddie hums and pulls Steve’s lips between his in a long, lingering kiss before separating. “The only condition is I get to be the one who leaves this time when you have to come back.”
“Not forever, though, right?”
“Well, that’s up to you, babe.”
Steve nods, swooping in to give Eddie his own version of a passionate kiss. “Okay, but then we’re even.”
“Yeah, we’ll be even.”
Eddie watches the smile slowly spread across Steve’s face before he hides in the crook of his neck. Eddie presses his own grin into the mop of sweaty hair on Steve’s head as they lay there, completely intertwined from their head to their toes.
“Boyfriends for the weekend,” Steve mumbles through a yawn before finally letting his eyes flutter shut.
“And then for life,” Eddie whispers, lips pressing into Steve’s forehead before his own eyes give in to the exhaustion coursing through his body.

Babyface was nodding like yeah what she said.
"Exactly."
He meant it though. He had not come to take her away. He'd gotten in the mind set before he stepped off the boat and he made up his mind when he gave Ellie his parting last words of just in case. He had no intentions of making Mazzie leave. He also had no intentions of making any decisions for Ellie. He was done thinking he knew what was best for anyone. That's what fucked things up.
Once both Ellie confirmed neither one of them were there to try and take her away Mazzie's body language started to relax. She still seemed at the ready, but after realizing zombies were on this island now that made sense to Babyface. He was just glad she started to talk to Ellie even if it wasn't to him right off.
"He's at the control center with the donkeys and our Papas."
Babyface's eyes bugged. "You mean the Coachman survived?"
"I didn't say that."
He glanced over at Ellie unsure what that meant.
"You mean? Honest John and Gideon? They're here?"
"Something like that. You'd be surprised who's here."
Mazzie was still focused on what Ellie said. How things went before. It made her stare at Babyface despite them saying they weren't going to try and make her leave.
"The Coachman's not happy with you. He was ready to give it all to you. He wants to know why we would trust you now?"
"I thought you said he didn't survive?"
"I didn't say that." Mazzie spoke stern and slow.
Babyface looked at Ellie more than once. He wasn't always the quickest on the uptake in these situations, but he understood something strange was going on.
A part of Babyface was hoping this conversation would play out a little differently. He was hoping for more wiggle room before he put all his cards on the table. He wasn't even completely sure he understood what was going on, but he decided he didn't care. He knew he made the decision before stepping foot off that boat. It had been in his head for months. If he ever had a do over, he knew what he would do. Here he was with a real do over.
"Look Mazzie, please. I don't know what the Beagle is going on here. I almost don't care. All I know is I wrecked it right up. I want to stay here with you like before. Just like we talked about. I don't want to be a donkey. I want to be like you. I'll stay. I'll take care of it with you."
He glanced back at Ellie with every other statement.
"You know I loved it here. That part doesn't have to change. What can I do to make it up to the island? I just want to stay with you."
That was the most disarming confrontation Mazzie could have been hit with. Several island boys started to pop up out of the candy woodworks as if the island itself understand the ramifications of the conversation.
"You'd stay?"
The half a dozen or so boys began to line up behind Mazzie. She waved a hand downward to stave them off. The island listened to Mazzie.
"Yes." He looked at Ellie again knowing this time around the boys were some extensions of the magic that was the Coachman's wife embodied in this cursed place. It was knowledge they didn't have the first time.
She looked passed Babyface to Ellie. "Is that why you're here too? You want to stay too?"
Babyface hadn't meant to put Ellie on the spot, but to him this was the only way. It was his only regret in his entire life. He didn't regret pulling the trigger, but he sure did regret fleeing the scene. He was so scared of becoming a donkey he left his crew behind.
Every Beagle for himself. Get out alive. That's all he could think at the time. Hindsight after juvie and seeing his mother made him realize there was another role a Beagle could take that was just admiral to the family. It was why he was in juvie. He took the fall. He was ready to take the fall now.
“It was probably some douchebag boy who was sent here,” Ellie said, resolutely. That, she could believe. There were so many here that were ripe for the taking. The boys that would probably come up with a game like ‘Poke the zombie’. Ten points if you get it’s stomach. Twenty points if you get it’s head.
She had her hand on Babyface’s back, the two of them using one another to steady themselves as they looked up at Maz. The hair was definitely a big change and Ellie thought back to the slumber parties that they had - how fun it would be to do something like that again and be girly and cute and braid each other’s hair now that hers was long enough. But that felt like a part of a Oogie-induced lifetime dream now. Making her yearn, making her nostalgic for something that probably would never happen.
All things considering - Mazzie’s reaction seemed fair from her point of view. They had tried to talk to her and Jax until they were blue in the face about how wrong the situation with the Magic Man was. But no words had been able to convince her. That’s why Babyface had did what he did. It seemed kind of foolish now to expect that just because their lives had changed - they had become street kids in other towns, misplaced, an orphan, losing a whole family - that her mind might have.
“We’re not here to take you away,” Ellie affirmed, with a nod of her head, her blue eyes trying to meet Mazzie’s darker ones. “We’ve just - we’ve been thinking about you. And how things went the last time around. And then there’s been this whole zombie epidemic and we had to leave New Orleans and -” She shrugged with a sigh. “It’s been this whole big thing.”
She looked up at the candy-canes again, that Mazzie had been climbing, and then asked one of the many questions that had a hold on her heart right now.
“Where is Jax?"

But I’ll be writing along the way since this story is in my drafts on Wattpad right now so yuh. 💁🏽♀️
7.
YASMINE It was Crown Jewel day, and I was nervous to say the least about tonight's main event, which involved me going against Liv Morgan for her title. I couldn't believe that I'd be having my first PPV tonight; thinking about it gave me butterflies in my stomach.
I was in my hotel room watching TV while eating some food that I had ordered from the menu that they had in the room. I haven't heard from Jey since we last saw each other, and I started to miss him because he normally doesn't go days without texting or calling me.
That's when I felt my phone buzzing as I grabbed it from the dresser, seeing that Trinity had texted me.
Trin🤭🫶🏽 sent a message.
IMESSAGE 💬 Trin🤭🫶🏽: Hey, girly I was checking up on you to see how you were doing? Minnie🧃: I'm doing fine just nervous about today Trin🤭🫶🏽: girl, you're going to be fine just bring that title home for us Minnie🧃: Trin, you know I got'chu if you want a title shot Trin🤭🫶🏽: fasho girl I know Minnie🧃: also have you heard from Jey? Trin🤭🫶🏽: last time I check him and Jon were heading to the gym together then hangout with some friends before the show Minnie🧃: oh okay Trin🤭🫶🏽: did something happen? Minnie🧃: nah I just wanted to see if you have heard from him since he hasn't text me or called me at least Trin🤭🫶🏽: hm, that's not like him I'll see what's going on but I'll see you later girl byeee love you Minnie🧃: love you too
After texting Trinity, I decided to munch on my food while continuing to watch my show on Netflix. Jey and I have been doing this friends-with-benefits thing ever since we met.
I knew he was my person, my peacemaker, especially whenever I'm feeling down or about to panic. He's always right there to fix it, no matter what, but for some odd reason, I started to feel more for him than I should.
Maybe it was the dick that was making me feel this way about him, not knowing how he felt entirely, but it was odd not hearing from him all day today.
I'll probably see him at work or something, then we could talk about it, hopefully.
✧˚° I finally made it to work, seeing everyone that I was cool with backstage. Meanwhile, I was looking for Jey, hoping that I'd see him and greet him with hugs and kisses like I normally do.
As I was walking down toward Montez's locker room, I caught something. It was Jey speaking to Liv, for whatever reason, so I went behind the corner and watched them.
His energy seemed a bit flirty, and the way he felt up on her like he did with me almost shattered me. I sighed deeply, getting out of the corner and continuing to walk towards my brother's locker room.
Walking past them as Jey made eye contact with me before I rolled my eyes at him going towards Montez's locker room. Maybe he didn't feel the same way like I did.
As I walked in my brother's locker room I saw Bianca sitting on the couch gazing up at me with a smile as I did the same to her.
I sat down on the couch, looking up at the screen and seeing the commutators speaking about the matches for tonight. Bianca could sense my energy seemed a bit off as she nudged my shoulder.
"You okay Minks?" Bianca asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine just nervous about my match for the main event," I said while having flashbacks of seeing Jey with Liv being all up on her.
"Are you sure? You seemed pretty uncomfortable about something," I said, shaking my head and telling her that I was fine and just needed a moment by myself.
That's when I felt my phone vibrating, seeing a text from an unknown number that seemed like they had sent me a picture.
When I opened the message, it felt like my whole world had stopped spinning. It was a picture of Jey and Liv, with him having her in a back-shot position and the message saying, 'Hey, girl.' I didn't want to express those feelings toward Bianca, so I went out to the locker room for a moment, trying to calm myself down before I had a mental breakdown.
How could he? Why would he do this? I went inside the bathroom, went inside the stall, and began bawling my eyes out in silence so that nobody would hear me.
I put my trust into a nigga that would just do me dirty now everyone is going to be looking at me all weirdly.
After I was bawling my eyes out, I opened the stall and looked inside the mirror, touching up my makeup, praying that I wouldn't see him again or anymore. Ion even wanna tell Montez about it. Hell, he probably knows.
I walked out of the bathroom and toward Ms. Kim to check on my gear and make sure everything was okay. When I went that way, I saw Carmelo talking to somebody, but I didn't pay attention to him.
He saw me walking past him and tried to grab my arm, but I quickly snatched it away.
"Are you good, Yasmine? " he asked. I just rolled my eyes at him, wondering why he cared if I was okay.
I just nodded my head and walked away because I didn't want to engage in the conversation anymore. I honestly didn't want to talk to anybody.
Ms. Kim saw me walking toward her, and she smiled at me.
"Hey, Yasmine, I see that you're here for your attire?" She said.
"Yeah, I just wanted to come pick it up so that I could have it before my match," I said as she nodded her head and gave me my attire.
My eyes sparkled with excitement. I love the detail of the gear; it just suited me so well. I thanked Ms. Kim before heading back toward Montez's locker room.
✧˚° I sat in my brother's locker room, lost in thought about what I'd seen while watching the matches on his TV.
I'm still puzzled. What did I do wrong? Did he not see me as good enough? I guess it shouldn't bother me since we're friends with benefits, right?
As I watched TV, a knock on the door signaled someone to come in, but I didn't look at them until they were right in front of me.
When I looked up, I saw that it was him—the person I didn't even want to see at the moment.
My eyebrows furrowed a bit, and I sighed deeply. " What? Why are you in my face for?" I remarked, giving him an attitude.
"Let me explain, Minks," Jey begged as I rolled my eyes at him.
"There's nothing for you to explain, Josh. I thought I could trust you, and I gave my BODY to you. Is this what you do? I understand that we are friends with benefits but damn," I wanted to lash out on him so bad but it just wasn't in me I didn't need this when I have a match coming up.
I got up from the couch, not wanting to speak to him anymore when he grabbed me by the waist and looked deeply into my brown eyes.
Those same eyes that captured me hypnotized me.
"C'mon, don't do this. She doesn't mean anything to me, mama." I wanted to give in so badly, but he didn't deserve it. He can be with her instead of me.
"Let me go, Ion' have time for this. We are only friends with benefits, right? It shouldn't matter anyway; I have a match to go to." I pulled away from his grasp before going towards the gorilla, trying to pump myself up until I saw her walking past me with a smirk.
She was mouthing, "he's mine now," I wanted to knock the brains outta her so bad but I kept it professional smiling at her as her music began playing.
I had to keep my emotions together putting them to the side for right now not wanting to mess up my opportunity to take away that damn belt from her.
My music began to play as the cameraman was next me while I mouthed, "it's show time yall," while walking out the gorilla hearing the people cheering for me.
Just reminded me when I was in NXT going against Roxanne for her title, I blew kisses to everyone while skipping towards the ring.
"And her opponent from Brooklyn, New York weighing in at 148 pounds YASMINE!!!!"
I smiled at waved at everyone giving them a high five before flipping my hair in the process I know that this was getting underneath her skin.
I got on top of the ropes sitting on them while I flipped over them landing a spilt on the ground before getting back up.
"Yasmine is honestly a very talented athlete Cole,"
"I agree with you hundred percent Graves she's going to be the next face of the company,"
I took off my jacket and cap throwing it outside of the ring. I hyped myself as the referee held up the title before ringing the bell.
"1!" "2!" "3!"
"Oh my god! She did it! Yasmine is your new women's world champion!"
"She honestly deserves it,"
I was absolutely stunned when I defeated Liv Morgan. Although Dom and Jey provided some interference, I still managed to emerge victorious in a fair manner. The look of despair in Liv's eyes was evident. Perhaps this was Karma's way of teaching her a lesson, but let's not dwell on that. The referee presented me with the title, and as I held my hand, I couldn't help but feel a pang of pain in my stomach.
Hearing the crowd screaming that I deserved it made my heart warm. I blew them kisses before rolling out of the room and heading towards the gorilla.
I saw Bianca, Trinity, Montez and Jon standing there waiting on me as I walked inside they all came up to me hugging me tightly.
I cried happy tears while embracing them together; I looked up for a second, seeing Jey standing there with his arms crossed around his chest.
He seemed proud of me for what I had accomplished.
"We are honestly so proud of you, baby girl!" Trinity said.
"Girl, ion' know you be doing them moves when you're so little bro," I shrugged my shoulders at her telling her that it's just a skill and learning mechanism for me.
After they congratulated me, I saw Jey walking up towards me, and I rolled my eyes at him. "Can we talk alone?" I sighed softly, nodding my head as I followed him toward his and Jonathan's locker room, which they shared together.
We both made it to their locker room as he opened the door for me to come in first before him while shutting the door behind him. I sat down on the couch, placing my championship next to me.
It was nothing but silence. I don't think I have the energy to deal with this, especially after tonight's match.
"You wanted to talk so speak up," I retorted while folding my arms.
I knew that he liked my sassy attitude, but I was honestly dead-ass serious about this one, hearing a light, dark chuckle escape his lips.
"You wanna fix that tone of yours, little mama?" He questioned me.
"No, I will not fix my fucking tone nigga. I have every right to have this funky ass attitude with yo' ass playing in my fucking face," I was lashing out at him badly, knowing that what he did really did shatter me and now made me more closed off.
"Like, why me? What did I do so wrong to deserve that? When I saw you as my peacemaker, someone I could go to without feeling guilty..." Jey listened attentively, hearing me lash out at him.
"It was a mistake, Minks. I swear it wasn't supposed to go that far." I shook my head, knowing that he was lying just to get out of it.
"It was a fucking choice not a damn mistake, you know my fucking brother trusted you? And now you have broken that trust for some whore," I vented while wiping the tears away from my cheeks.
I got up from the couch, holding my championship on my shoulder and staring down at him deeply, "Maybe I was a fool to fall in love with you, maybe it was dick that was making me feel this way or something, but I hope you and her both have a wonderful life together I'm gone Josh," before I could head out the door I felt him scooping me up by the thighs causing me to yelp as he took us over to his couch keeping me place on his lap.
His arms snaked around my waist, and I placed my championship next to him, wrapping my arms around his neck for support.
"Don't go please minks, You know I love you," Jey said placing soft kisses on my neck.
"If you loved me, you wouldn't be with Liv Morgan now, would ya?" I tried to resist his wet kisses trailing down my neck because I didn't want to give in; that's how it'll make me look dumb.
"She doesn't mean anything to me like you do," I said, turning away from him, not wanting to listen to anything else he had to say.
He continued to give me wet soft kisses on my neck while placing his hands on my ass cheeks squeezing them both.
I didn't know if this was his way of saying sorry it's definitely working because I am starting to give in to this man as my anger started to go away.
My body didn't operate properly whenever he touched me, Jey gazed up at me seeing me trembling under his touch.
"C'mon you know you love this shit," this was manipulation at this point but he wasn't wrong about that. I managed to push him away while getting up from his lap grabbing my title in the process.
"T-this doesn't feel right at all Josh, after you fucked her now you wanna get into my panties? Nah I'm not doing this with you anymore I'm out," I said as I left his locker room leaving him dumbfounded.
✧˚° OMNISCIENT Yasmine been getting a bunch of miss calls from Jey ever since she left the arena, she was in her hotel room with the blankets over her body watching a movie that's when she heard her door knocking.
She groaned deeply feeling annoyed as she got up from the bed while going towards the door looking through the peephole to see who it was.
It was Trinity standing there along with Bianca she opened the door seeing them look at her. She let them in as she went towards her bed sitting on it.
"Girl, what's is going on with you and Jey?" Trinity questioned her.
'What the fuck did he tell them?'
'Ion' even wanna bring his ass up after what he did,'
"I'm not speaking to him anymore after what he did," She said folding her arms in the process.
They both looked at each other then back at her with a confused expression on their faces. "What do you mean?"
That's when she explained to them that Jey had been fucking around with Liv while showing them the picture that she had gotten from Liv's phone number.
They were shocked to say the least even Trinity knowing that Jey was a loyal man but this was something surprising to her.
"Did you at least hear him out?" Yasmine shook her head.
"No, I refused to listen to him whatsoever because he didn't seem trustful," Yasmine replied as she heard the girls sigh.
Yasmine eyebrows furrowed slightly as she looked at them with a perplexed expression before saying something. "What y'all?"
They both looked at each other and then back at Yasmine.
"We feel like y'all should talk things out—" That's when she lost it.
"IM SORRY? I AM NOT GOING OUT MY WAY JUST FOR HIM TO FUCK ME AND THEN BE WITH THAT WHORE LIV. TALK THINGS OUT TUH." She lashed out at them, running her fingers through her hair, feeling frustrated.
"We understand that, but at least hear him out. Minks for us, please," Bianca begged, seeing Yasmine in disbelief.
She couldn't believe what she was hearing right now, her best friends telling her to listen to a man who fucked another girl and played in her face.
The only way she could listen to what he had to say was if he was going through something or feeling bad about it.
"No, no, I'm not going to do that respectfully. I love you guys, but if you're going to take his side, then all can leave." With that, Yasmine got up from her bed and went towards the bathroom, shutting the door behind her as she slid down on it.
Covering herself in between her legs along with muffled cries and tears coming down her cheeks, she didn't want to speak to him.
She didn't want to deal with him any further, but her heart said something different. She knew that he meant well and didn't want it to happen, but it did.
Yasmine knew that she loved him, that he was her peacemaker, especially when dealing with complicated things like this.
She sat there for a while in the bathroom before hopping in the shower, trying to clear her thoughts.
After taking a shower, she put on some comfy clothes while picking up her phone, debating whether to text him or go see him in his hotel room.
Biting her fingernails she looked at the time, all she could think 'damn he's probably sleep right now,' But she decided to say fuck it and go see him to hear what he has to say.
She put on her slippers and Hoodie while going towards the elevator since his room was on the second floor. Yasmine waited patiently for the elevator to go up to the second floor remembering his room number.
The elevator doors opened as she walked out, heading towards his hotel room. When she approached his room, she knocked on the door, waiting for him to come open it.
Yasmine had her arms folded around her chest as she heard footsteps from behind the door. When the door swung open, he was standing there towering over her 5'2 "figure.
He was shirtless, with his Cuban gold chain around his neck. He was also wearing some sweats and his slides.
"What'chu doing here this late, little mama?" He asked, looking around the hallway.
"I came to see you...I wanna hear what you have to say Josh..." Yasmine said gazing up at the fine Samoan specimen.
He nodded his head while stepping aside for her to come into his room as he shut the door behind them. She sat down on his bed, which smelt like him. His scent put her in a trance.
"You want something to drink, little lady?" She nodded her head as he gave her a cold water bottle.
Once he was settled in, he sat down next to her, admiring her features while he placed his hands on her thigh, rubbing it and letting out a sigh. "Look, what I did was wrong, and I didn't mean for it to happen but she kept pushing me and pushing me until I couldn't anymore without even thinking that it would hurt you minks,"
Yasmine was listening to him attentively, gazing into his brown, pretty eyes.
"I was planning on coming to see you, too, but she came in the way, and I didn't know about the picture she took either. Like I said before, you mean way more to me than her," Jey said, intertwining his hands with her small ones.
"I'm sorry, mama, like for real." She looked into his eyes to see if there was any sincerity behind his words, and there was.
She turned around to face him while sighing deeply, "You know how much that hurt me, Josh? Seeing you in that position with her? It felt like a bullet shot me dead in the heart after seeing that," Yasmine heard her voice crack a little bit.
"You're my peacemaker, and I felt like I lost my person," his eyebrows began to furrow a bit when she said that.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
Yasmine was very hesitant to express her feelings to him because she wasn't sure if he felt the same way as she did, so she just left it alone. She opened her mouth, beginning to say something, but nothing came out, so she closed it while avoiding eye contact with him.
That's when he grabbed her by the chin, placing his soft lips onto hers. This caught her off guard, but she managed to catch on as their lips moved in sync.
Wrapping her arms around his neck as he placed her onto his lap, causing her to grind on him while he gave her ass a smack.
"Fuck, I love you so much, Minks, you don't even know," He confessed as her facial expressions became perplexed.
"Y-you what?" She questioned him.
"You heard me, little girl. I said I love you like you're in love with me, right?" His statement shocked her.
Was this true? That he actually loves her?
"You playing right?" Jey shook his head, gazing up at her.
"No, I'm not. I'm serious, mamas; I'm serious about us," that made her heart flutter as she smiled at him, knowing how he loved it whenever she smiled.
For the rest of the night, they made love, embracing each other's scent.

I Can See You
and we kept everything professional, but something’s changed, it’s something i, i like…
SUMMARY: Y/N has had a crush on her bandmate, Harry, since 2010. But she would never tell him because he did not feel the same. No way. She was convinced that if she ever told him, he would reject her and things would get very awkward between the two. What happens when the band goes to a party, she gets drunk, and finally makes a move?
WARNINGS: drinking, i think that’s it
WORD COUNT: 1.7k
A/N: this is my first time writing on tumblr, and my first time writing anything in a while. any feedback is greatly appreciated. thank you <3
also, I was falling asleep while writing this, so it’s not proofread. if you notice any spelling/grammar mistakes please let me know so I can fix them! thank you!
“Are you almost done?” Harry asked the same question he’s asked at least three times in the last twenty minutes as he laid on the bed.
Y/N and him were both in her hotel room as she got ready for a party the band was invited to. He originally went to her room to check if she was ready to go, but he ended up staying when she told him that she was “almost ready”, thinking that meant maybe five minutes, and there was no point of leaving just to come back to get her right after.
“Almost.” Y/N said from the bathroom. She had the same answer every time he asked, but she was actually almost done this time.
Harry groaned dramatically, getting up from the hotel bed, “I’m just gonna go, okay? Text me when you’re ready and I’ll come get you.”
“No, Harry, I’m ready! I’m ready.” She panicked, quickly opening the door to the bathroom as she put her silver hoop earrings in, before grabbing her purse and leaving the bathroom. “Let’s go.”
Harry’s breath got caught in his throat when he saw her. She looked… wow. She looked perfect. She was perfect.
She seemed to have noticed his staring, and immediately asked if she looked alright.
“Yes. You look… amazing, Y/N.” Harry’s eyes came back up to meet her own.
Her cheeks flushed a light shade of pink as she looked away, closing the bathroom door behind her. “Thank you…”
The boy nodded and opened the door to the hotel room, allowing her to exit first, before following behind.
They walked up to the elevators and as they waited on one, Harry spoke, “The boys are waiting in the car already.”
“Okay.” Y/N murmured, looking down at her feet as she impatiently waited on the elevator, which seemed to be taking a long time.
As the band entered the place the party was being held, they were immediately greeted with the strong scent of alcohol, the blaring of music, and the insanely loud sound of the crowd talking. Y/N already regretted agreeing to come.
One bandmate of hers, Niall, seemed to notice her disinterest in being here, so he grabbed her arm and gently pulled her to the bar. “C’mon, you’ve gotta loosen up a bit.”
Y/N let Niall drag her to the bar, not complaining because she knows he’ll end up getting his way no matter what she says.
As soon as they get to the bar, the blond gets the bartenders attention, and orders a few shots of vodka.
The bartender quickly gets the shots for them, setting the glasses in front of the two. Niall picked one shot up and held it up to his lips, tilting his head back as he drank it in one sip, then watched Y/N do the same. “There you go.” He smirked, grabbing another shot glass, and gestured for her to follow his actions.
She did, and after a couple more shots from the both of them, the rest of the boys walked up to the bar, ordering the same thing.
Harry sat down next to Y/N, noticing that she was already a bit tipsy from the shots Niall had made her take. He looked at her closely, taking in her appearance. She looked stunning. He couldn't take his eyes off of her.
"Having a good time?" He asked, leaning closer so she could hear him over the music.
Y/N could feel Harry’s breath on her ear as he spoke, sending a shiver down her spine. She looked over at him, feeling her cheeks heat up from seeing his intense gaze fixated on her.
“Yeah, I am.” She smiled faintly, her eyes flickering to his lips for a moment before meeting his gaze again. “The shots Niall gave me are starting to get to me.”
Harry chuckled, noticing when her eyes flickered to his lips and back up into his eyes. It was subtle, but hard for him to miss. “I can tell,” he teased, “your cheeks are a little red.” He reached out to touch her face, his fingers gently tracing the line of her blush. Their faces were dangerously close right now.
She felt a shiver go down her spine at the feeling of his touch against her skin, it was so gentle, and it took all of her self-control not to lean into him.
"I'm not that drunk," she retorted weakly, still trying to maintain her composure. She wasn't so sure herself though, because she could feel the alcohol coursing through her body, making her dizzy and making it hard to think straight.
Harry raised his eyebrows skeptically, laughing a bit to himself as he removed his hands from her face. "Sure you're not." He spoke sarcastically.
"Oh shut up," she rolled her eyes, but there was a hint of a smile on her lips. Even though she tried to play it cool, the alcohol was starting to take its effect, and the closeness between the two was making her heart race.
As much as he tried to play it off, Harry couldn't deny the effect that Y/N was having on him. The sight of her, slightly tipsy with her cheeks flushed and a small smile on her lips, was almost too much for him to handle.
"Y’know, y’look really beautiful," he said quietly, his eyes never leaving her face.
Y/N blushed even more at his words, her heart skipping a beat. "Thank you..." she said quietly, her voice almost a whisper. She could tell he meant it, she could see the sincerity in his eyes as he looked at her. The alcohol was making her feel bolder, and she couldn't hold back her next words.
"You don't look so bad yourself," she said, her eyes trailing down his body.
Harry's lips curved into a smirk at her compliment, feeling a surge of confidence. He already had a bit to drink ever since he first sat down, and the alcohol was making him feel more courageous than usual.
"You checking me out?" He teased, raising an eyebrow at her.
"Maybe a little." She replied with a coy smile, feeling her cheeks heat up a bit more, which she couldn’t tell if it was from the alcohol or not.
Harry chuckled lowly, enjoying the effect he was having on her. He leaned in a bit closer, making the already small distance between them even shorter.
"You know, you're not very subtle." He said.
Her breath caught in her throat as he leaned closer, feeling his breath on her skin. “I’m not trying to be subtle.” She admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Harry seemed pleased with her admission, his smirk growing wider as he brought a hand up to gently cup her chin, and tilted her head up to look at him, “Good,”
Before he could say anything else, she kissed him.
As her lips met his, Harry froze in shock for a brief moment before he quickly melted into the kiss, wrapping an arm around her waist to pull her closer to him. He groaned softly when her fingers tangled into his hair, his fingers gripping her hips as he deepened the kiss.
They were so lost in the moment, surrounded by the loud music and chatter of the party, but it all faded away as their mouths moved against each other. The taste of alcohol on their lips only fueled the intensity of the kiss, each seeking more of the other.
As the kiss continued on, Harry pulled Y/N even closer to him, molding their bodies together. He could feel her warm breath on his skin, and the way her fingers were tugging on his hair was driving him crazy.
His hands began to roam over her body, desperate to explore every inch of her. The taste of her sweet, drunken lips was like a drug.
Y/N and Harry reluctantly pulled away from each other at the sound of a wolf whistle, their lips parting with a soft gasp. They both turned their heads to see the source of the noise, noticing Niall and the rest of the lads sitting at a different table with five girls nearby, watching them with lazy grins.
A wave of realisation hit them both, and their faces flushed in embarrassment, realising that they had lost themselves in each other completely, oblivious to their surroundings.
They turned back to face eachother, and Y/N suddenly spoke up, "I- I've been wan-"
Y/N's words died in her throat as Harry abruptly stood up, his eyes avoiding hers. She watched as he pointed at the front door, a confused expression spreading across her face.
"I- I need..." He mumbled before quickly exiting the bar, leaving Y/N confused and upset. She could hardly process what had just happened.
She sat there frozen in shock, her mind going a million miles a minute. She couldn't believe what just happened. One minute they were lost in each other, and the next, Harry was gone. The alcohol still coursing through her veins didn't help her think clearly.
She still had the taste of his lips on hers, the feeling of his hands on her skin, and his hair between her fingers. In her tipsy state, she could feel the emotions start to overwhelm her. Tears stung her eyes as she looked around the bar, hoping nobody was paying attention. Her chest tightened with a mixture of confusion and hurt.
Y/N sat there for a few more moments, staring blankly at the spot where Harry had just been, tears welling up in her eyes. The buzz from the alcohol faded away, leaving her feeling empty and confused.
Her mind raced with questions. Why did he leave? What did she do wrong? Had she misread the situation?
She slowly got up from the barstool, her hands shaking as she grabbed her purse. She needed to get out of there, away from the music and the people who were still oblivious to her turmoil.
Y/N stumbled out of the bar, the cool night air hitting her face and causing her to shiver. She hailed a taxi, her mind still racing with unanswered questions. As the taxi drove away from the party, she sat in the back, silently staring out the window, her heart feeling heavier than it had in a long while.

baby, we're the new romantics | benedict bridgerton
summary: engaged!reader learns that she is enraptured by both men and women at a late-night gathering
word count: 4.3k
warnings: nfsw 18+, threesome ffm
a/n: this one is for the gays!!!!! pretty tame for smut, too much plot but that's just what i prefer
Summer was fast approaching, and you and your fiancé, Charles Beckworth, shared a comfortable silence, taking a turn around the garden. While you checked on your flowers, he enjoyed the first warm sunlight of the year. After deciding that a tulip patch was growing nicely, you turned to your betrothed.
“Tell me where you run off to in the night,” you whispered to him. “You have been suspiciously leaving events early this season. Where are you going?”
Charlie looked at you, and a whisper of shock crossed his face. But his expression was quickly schooled.
“Home?” he said plainly.
“I know you are not retiring to your bachelor lodgings,” you pressed. “It’s eating me alive, so tell me. I am your most trusted confidant, yes?”
Your free hand squeezed his arm that was looped with yours, urging him to remember all that you have been through.
You’d met last season. Needing some fresh air during another stiff ball, you stole away to the garden and found a kindred soul in the gazebo. Charlie also despised the social season. Initially, you thought him a rake and not ready to settle down. But he was just like you, simply mourning the youth that you hadn’t realized was over until its sudden death. The two of you concocted a plan: until one of you was ready for marriage, the two of you would pretend to court.
It wasn’t until you found him and another man half undressed, hidden from a gallery viewing, that you realized he would never be ready for marriage. He expected you to cast him out and was surprised when you proposed the next day. After a season of finding the company of men underwhelming, you supposed there were worse fates than marrying your best friend.
“Fine.” Leaning in, he continued, “You know I find pleasure with the same sex.”
You nodded slowly.
“I go to parties that allow me to show my affection to them,” he confessed. “But it’s no place for you. The ladies there are not-”
“Ladies are welcome?” you interrupted. “Parties where they talk of social reform? Humanism? Free love? Ladies are present at these?”
“I’m surprised you even know of such events,” Charlie teased.
You shrugged. “My parents complain about your sort endlessly. Radicals will ruin this country!”
“This country could stand to be ruined,” Charlie said. “And yes, those are the kind of parties I attend. You wouldn’t like-”
“Then I must come with you.”
“No,” Charlie said in a stern voice he had never used with you before.
“Yes,” you insisted.
“Hearing the things they speak of and seeing the things they partake in would make you faint instantly.” You laughed before realizing he was serious.
“Please take me with you,” you pleaded. “You know that I can keep a secret.”
Charlie pursed his lips. “Maybe one day, darling.”
It took weeks of bargaining and reasoning and flattery, but Charlie eventually yielded. Suffice it to say, your first party did not end well. The next morning, you still felt as if your stomach had more to wretch up, and you swore off alcohol for the rest of your life. But after a few more late nights, you could hold your spirits.
The arrangement required more lying than you were comfortable with, feigning illnesses or a small injury. Charlie, ever the gentleman, would escort you back home with his mother as a chaperone. But his mother, ever the romantic, would allow the coachmen to drop her off home first, so the two of you could steal some extra time together. To her knowledge, you made it home safely, and Charlie retired to his bachelor lodgings.
Having a secret was fun, especially since you kept it with your best friend. Although you and Charlie went your separate ways at parties, you still stole furtive, snickering glances at each other. Watching the other shine. Him with that week’s paramour, you with the university students, who were home for summer and whom you hounded with questions.
Tonight, Charlie was whispering to one of his favorite lovers by the staircase. As you watched in the living room, you observed what Charlie did best. Seducing. Alluring. Convincing the other man to follow him upstairs for some fun. You’d never had that sort of fun. You were a bit jealous of him as you gulped down the rest of your drink. Before Charlie disappeared upstairs, he flashed you a wink. You teasingly rolled your eyes in return.
Although gatherings like these were filled with debauchery, foreign drugs, and gallons of whiskey, intellectual conversations could be found if one sought them out. Tonight, the topic was Byron’s “She Walks in Beauty.” A pipe was placed in your hands, cutting off your flow of thought, as a lady sat down, joining you on the loveseat.
“Oh,” you gasped, holding the unfamiliar pipe between your thumb and index finger. “I don’t smoke.”
The lady chuckled, her sly smile contagious. “You do now. Open up.”
She leaned into you, bringing the pipe up to your mouth with one hand. The other came up to rest on your shoulder. Your lips wrapped around the wooden tip, and you looked up at her curiously, waiting for additional instruction.
“Breathe in,” she giggled.
You did as told. Closing your eyes, you took a deep breath in, the smoke setting your lungs ablaze. Soon, you were hunched over your knees and coughing.
“Oh, maybe you don’t smoke,” said the lady, taking the pipe from you. “It’s okay, it never feels right at first.”
“That was just tobacco, yes?” you asked, coughing once more into your hand.
“Just tobacco,” she nodded, taking a puff from the pipe. “My name is Victoria Leybourne. We’ve not yet been introduced, but I see you plenty. You’re Charlie’s wife aren’t you?”
“Fiancé,” you corrected. “We are to be married the day before Christmas.”
“It’s lovely what you’re doing for him,” Victoria said. “Though I suppose that he is doing a lovely thing for you in return.”
You hummed, a little confused with her wording. “He is my best friend, I would do anything for him. And it is an added bonus that I would be granted lots of freedom I otherwise wouldn’t have with another man.”
“You wouldn’t consider spinsterhood?” Victoria asked.
“No, why would I?”
Victoria paused, staring into your eyes in deep thought. “So you’re not… You are enraptured by the male species?”
You almost coughed. “Erm… yes. I suppose am.”
“And what of the female of the species?”
Her hand came up to brush a piece of hair away from your face, but she continued to stroke something small and invisible at your temple. Her eyes were sharp yet alluringly gentle. You never suspected you were like Charlie, but what could possibly explain the ache you felt between your legs?
“I have never once… considered it,” you told her truthfully, “but am simultaneously not opposed to the idea at all.”
“How fascinating.” She took another drag from the pipe but held the smoke in her mouth.
As she inched closer to you, you realized what she intended to do. Hesitantly, you let your jaw fall and craned your neck towards her. Victoria’s hands slid their way up your neck to cradle the sides of your face, ticking your skin.
The touch of a woman was so familiar. Your mother was constantly adjusting your hair just so, and lady’s maids dressed you each morning. But this was different. This made your heart drop and your mouth dry. It was scary how out of touch you felt with your body, but you knew that you didn’t want her to stop.
Victoria’s lips barely grazed your own, and she slowly exhaled. Following her pace, you breathed in her smoke. It stung, but this time you knew you could bear it. Breathing it back out, it enveloped Victoria’s round face.
“Can I kiss you?” she asked.
“Maybe not here,” you said, looking around the room.
No one was paying attention, too absorbed in talks on the state of the country and what the future had in store. But your eyes caught one man in the corner, drinking alone. He was watching the two of you intently. His fingers tugged his cravat from his neck, bringing it down to cover his manhood. But it was too late, both you and Victoria had seen the large bulge in his pants. Your cheeks reddened, realizing that he had been watching.
“Looks like our host seems to be enjoying the view,” Victoria sang. “We should extend an invitation. Would that be okay? From previous experience, I can assure you that you won’t regret it.”
“I…” You were at a loss for words. “Maybe he could watch?”
You couldn’t believe what you had just said. Just the same with lying with a woman, it had never before crossed your mind of intimacy between more than two people. But, you couldn’t help but relate to the man’s voyeurism. When couples hurriedly left the dance floor at balls, you couldn’t stop yourself from following to see what happened next—what truly happened when one loved another.
Victoria let out a delighted squeal and took your hand. As she led you across the room to the man, his gaze never left yours.
“Benedict Bridgerton,” she smiled, finally reaching him.
So this was Benedict Bridgerton. Being an unmarried woman in London, of course, you had heard the name. But the man himself was elusive. He rarely attended events of the ton; his mother always claimed nothing could pull him away from his art studio. You would have never guessed he had instead been hosting parties of his own all this time.
“Victoria,” he grinned. “Who do we have here?”
“Charlie’s girl,” she said, giving your hand a squeeze. “She’s a bit shy, so I’m afraid you can’t join us in the ways that matter. But she says you’re permitted to watch.”
His eyebrow quirked at that. “Fascinating.”
His gaze was glued to Victoria, making you fidget. You felt like a fly on the wall at that moment; it was a feeling you knew all too well from the various balls of the season. One debutant of nearly a hundred. Back then, you didn’t mind going unnoticed, but now, you realized that you wanted his attention. You wanted to be seen.
“I think the same of her, yes,” Victoria nodded. “Well, come now. Perhaps you can lend some advice. And of course, lead us to the best room.”
Benedict rose, finally acknowledging you again, scanning your body from head to foot. He greeted you by name which surprised you. You’d never been formally introduced. “It’s lovely to meet you.”
“A pleasure, my lord,” you said instinctively.
“Oh, it will be indeed,” Victoria chuckled, pulling you closer.
The two of you followed Benedict through his bachelor lodgings, weaving between arguments and intertwined bodies alike. His confident stride led you up the stairs to a large bedroom at the end of the hallway.
“Your personal chambers,” Victoria hummed, still holding your hand. “We are certainly receiving special treatment tonight.”
She finally let go of your hand to close the door, locking it with a quick click.
“This doesn’t happen often,” he admits, pulling a chair up to the foot of his bed, taking a seat, and kicking off his shoes. “But I’m certainly ready for a show.”
Victoria preened next to you, and a shiver ran down your spine.
“Now, get on the bed,” he ordered.
Victoria left your side and crawled up on the bed, standing on her knees. Never in a million years would you have imagined doing this. Taking pleasure in another woman—in front of a man no less. But something inside you stirred in excitement, and you wanted to do a good job. For Victoria and for Benedict. You just weren’t sure that you could.
Benedict’s head lolled to face you. “You can change your mind, dear. We won’t mind.”
“No,” you croaked out. “No, I’m just nervous is all.”
This was your first… well, everything to be quite honest. Since joining Charlie on his late nights, men have approached you, remarked on your beauty, led you to a private corner. And you let them. You were curious. There’d been modest kisses and less than thrilling groping, but none of that counted to you. It hadn’t mattered a great deal to you, but this does.
Rising, Benedict crossed the room to you, taking your hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze. “No need for nerves. And we can stop whenever you like, just say the word.”
He led you to the bed, helping you up before returning to his seat. Victoria smiled, taking the same hand Benedict held seconds ago.
“You’re stunning,” she sighed.
“You’re radiant,” you said quickly. But it was true. Her dark hair and eyes drew you in like a magnet.
You were mere inches from her face and could feel her warm breath as she breathed heavily in anticipation. But somehow air was caught in your own lungs, and your muscles were too tense to give any release. Downstairs, you and Vicotria were hidden in plain sight, but now, there was nothing to hide your want for another woman. Now, you were positioned in front of Benedict as if on a stage.
“Take a breath, dear,” Benedict said gently. “No need to hold it in.”
You exhaled sharply. Almost a pant.
“Now, do what you could not downstairs,” he directed. “There’s no shame here.”
And in an instant, your hands found Victoria’s waist, and her lips were crashing into yours. Victoria’s lips were full and plush. Her mouth had a smokey taste from the pipe you shared, but despite this, they still tasted sweet. Her grip was stronger than expected as she took the sides of your face to pull you harder into her. Out of the corner of your eye, Benedict started to shed his coat and vest, making your heart race faster.
Although Victoria was the one to pursue you, she gave you most of the control. Underneath her soft curves, you felt strong muscles; she could’ve easily pinned you to the mattress, but instead, she followed your instincts. She was the one to fall to her back, letting you crawl over her, running your lips up the column of her neck. Her whines were music to your ears. You needed more. You needed a symphony.
Your hands kneaded at her breasts, her teeth pulling on your bottom lip, when Benedict appeared at your side. He leaned a hand on the bedpost but didn’t get any closer than that.
“Have you been intimate with a woman before?” he asked. No judgment, just curiosity.
“No,” you gasped, eyes still shut in pleasure.
“Would you like guidance?”
Your head shot up, eyes struggling to focus. At first, you thought to be insulted. What you lacked in experience, you at least thought you made up for in vigor.
“You’re doing well, don’t worry,” chuckled Benedict. “But I have some tricks that may increase your lady’s pleasure even more.”
“I thought you were just going to watch,” you said.
“I have more experience, dear.” He wasn’t smug, simply factual. “If you allow it, I wish to help.”
“Please, Benedict,” Victoria moaned underneath you. “If she allows it.”
He looked at you, unnervingly serious. “Do you allow it?”
You hesitated. “I allow it.”
Benedict immediately shifted onto the bed, urging you to sit up so you were straddling Victoria.
“You too, Victoria. We need to rid you of some layers,” he decided.
With your help, she rose from the bed. Her curly hair was wild and mussed. “Will you do the honors, my lord?”
Benedict’s gaze flicked to you, and you gave a quick nod. It was clear Benedict and Victoria had a trusting relationship. He certainly excited her as well. With expert precision, he stripped her gown, leaving her in a white chemise, and toyed with one of the lace straps.
“Follow my lead,” Benedict instructed.
Your left hand came up to Victoria’s other strap, and as if there were a mirror, your and Benedict’s hands moved in synch. The straps slunk down her arms like slow molasses, revealing the very top of Victoria’s corset that Benedict was already loosening.
“We’ll start small,” he said. “Well, not small, my dear.”
Victoria giggled as he shimmied the corset down her waist, revealing her well-endowed chest. Your hand reached out to gently massage her nipple that hardened underneath your touch.
“Mmm,” she moaned, leaning into you.
“A natural,” Benedict chuckled. “Yes, keep circling your fingers around her. Even give it a slight pinch if you wish.”
You obediently followed his instructions.
“I’ll ease the ache of her other breast,” he said, his hand already snaking from her shoulder, down her chest. “How does it feel, Victoria.”
“Heavenly,” she breathed, eyes shut in pleasure. “But you know what I prefer, Benedict.”
“Yes,” he purred, mouth pressed against her ear. Just the sight caused a rush to your center. “She much prefers being worked by tongue. Are you ready for that?”
That was all the invitation you needed to lean forward and latch onto her breast. You could hear her heartbeat, feel her breath hitch, taste her sweet skin. You looked up to find both of them staring down at you in awe.
“A sight to behold,” Benedict said. “Try suckling, my dear.”
Like a kitten lapping at a bowl of milk for the first time, your movement was awkward yet eager. Sensing your hesitation, Benedict shifted to Victoria’s side and brought his own lips to her other breast.
“Like this, love,” he said.
Still working Victoria, your gaze flicked to him, and you studied. Observed the way his cheeks hollowed out, his tongue momentarily escaping to circle the underside of her breast. From above, Victoria let out small cries of pleasure, latching a hand behind Benedict’s head to guide him better. You followed suit and soon felt Victoria’s other hand gathering the hair at the nape of your neck. A chorus of salacious suckling and heaving breathing filled the room. You were a trio of moans.
Suddenly, you felt a rough hand grasp your own. Together, your and Benedict’s fingers found Victoria’s center. Hot and slick and velvety, it felt like your own when you touched yourself when no one was near. But at the same time, it was entirely different. A whole new world to explore, one that you wanted to dive into and never leave. Quickly finding her pleasure area, you circled it in the opposite direction your tongue rounded her nipples. When Benedict used his own fingers to enter her, Victoria pulled hard. Hard enough that you and Benedict came up gasping for air.
“The two of you are going to be the death of me,” she sighed before pressing searing kisses to first your lips, then Benedict’s. With her hands still grasping your neck, she gently guided your faces to each other. “Is this okay?”
“Yes,” you said together.
And then his lips were on yours. It took everything in you not to continue pleasuring Victoria with the same victor, but your mind was hazy. His teeth were nipping your lips and his fingers were soon filling your mouth with Victoria’s sweetness. Sure, you had allowed men to kiss you and roam your body before. But that had simply been for experimentation, trying something new for the sake of it. Kissing Benedict was different. You wanted it. You wanted to express yourself and explore him. His fingers retreated back down, but instead of Victoria’s core, they found yours underneath your skirts. You gasped. No other person had ever pleasured you there.
“She looks like she’s found eternal life,” Victoria moaned.
“I think I have.” Involuntarily, your head lulled back, but Victoria supported the back of your neck. Soon, she was joining the kiss, and you couldn’t tell whose lips, tongue, teeth were whose.
At your center, Victoria’s hand began to roam along with Benedict’s. She teased your entrance until you shifted your hips and took her down to her knuckle. Whincing, you adjusted to the tightness. It stung but with pleasure. As Benedict stroked you, Victoria started pumping. Despite everything, you wanted more and rotated your hips against them both, chasing this new feeling.
“She wants it all,” Benedict chuckled, leaning back to watch Victoria litter your face with kisses. “An insatiable minx.”
“You’re doing beautifully,” she encouraged. “A naughty, naughty girl you are.”
Their praise only fueled you, and the small ache deep within started to grow and grow. Light tears prickled in your peripheral and small cries leaped out of your lips without you registering.
“I…” you gasped. “I… I don’t-”
“You’re about to finish, my dear,” Benedict growled. “We’ll get you there, don’t worry.”
“Yes,” Victoria purred. “Don’t stop, my love.”
Benedict shifted around you, and both latched onto your neck, urging the ache inside you to release. Nonsense words babbled out of you before you finally cried out one final time. They continued to stroke and suckle until you had ridden out the high and came back down, gasping for air.
“My word,” you breathed as each kissed your temples, caressed your breasts.
“Was that your first time climaxing?” Benedict asked.
“Yes, it was just about my first everything.”
Stroking your hair, Victoria smiled, “Thank you for sharing it with us.”
“We must do the same for the two of you.” You sat up straighter, waiting for instruction.
“No, no,” Benedict hushed. “Let’s just rest.”
Victoria hummed in agreement, pushing you softly to the mattress. They followed suit with Victoria taking the spot in the middle. You and Benedict curved around her, resting your heads on her breastbone—almost identical to your position earlier in the evening. A lazy smile crossed his lips before his eyes fluttered shut.
“This is heaven,” he whispered.
“Agreed,” Victoria said, stroking both of your heads.
You nuzzled closer to her neck, breathing in her scent, intertwining your legs with hers. Although you could feel your eyelids sinking and your breath slowing, you wanted to express your gratitude.
“Thank you,” you sighed. “I’ve never, ever been happier.”
You woke with a gasp. Had it all truly happened? Looking around, you were in the same room you remembered. And next to you was a body resembling Benedict Bridgerton, but he was on his stomach facing away from you. Your heart sank, realizing there was no sign of Victoria.
Climbing out of bed, you adjusted your dress back to its original state as best you could. By the time you slid your last shoe back on, Benedict stirred and woke.
“Abandoning me so soon?” he teased, rolling onto his side to better face you.
“I must get back before sunrise,” you said. “I suppose that’s why Victoria ran off so soon as well.”
“Yes.” Benedict rolled out of bed and began dressing. “She woke me when she left, but didn’t want to interrupt your rest.”
Once returned to order, he opened the door for you, and you both made your way to the exit. There were still a few stragglers, either sleeping or impossibly still conversing, but for the most part, the crowd had dispersed. Your shoulder brushed with his every other step as you descended the stairs.
“She asks if you will be back next week,” Benedict said.
You smiled. “How could I stay away?”
“Good,” he replied in a proud tone. “She also asks if you’re free during calling hours tomorrow.”
“She asks that?” you laughed. “She knows that I am engaged.”
‘Right,” he said, wincing. “To dear Charles. How could I… she forget.”
Arriving at the front door, you waited for him to open it, but he didn’t. Instead, he took a step closer.
“I know how deeply you care for him, so I will not suggest it again,” he said.
“Oh, you misunderstand. You must know that-”
“I do know,” he said.
“He’s quite popular at these gatherings, yes,” you chuckled.
“No, I know because I’ve… been with him.” Benedict's gaze bore into yours, almost as if asking something of you. “Do you remember? Last season?”
You parsed through all the memories of meeting Charlie for the first time, pretending to court one another, and becoming engaged once you learned his secret. But Benedict Bridgerton was hidden in none of these memories.
“You walked in on us,” he supplied. “At an art gallery. I saw you the moment you walked in, but you didn’t say anything. You just watched. And I liked being watched by you, so I didn’t say anything. Charlie only noticed when you tried to make your leave but tripped on your way out.”
“That was you?” In disbelief, you took a step closer to get a better look at him. “That was you, I suppose. I didn’t get a good look at you then.”
“Are you sure,” he chuckled. “Because you seemed quite enraptured in the moment.”
You slapped his arm playfully. “I won’t apologize for my… voyeur habits, for lack of better words.”
“I’d never ask you to,” he said. “But what I mean to say is I understand your arrangement. And I would never want to do anything that jeopardizes it, so I will keep my distance. In the social scene at least.”
“But behind closed doors?” you asked, looking up at him.
“I will never stray.” He bent down, capturing your lips and pulling you closer to him.
It took multiple attempts, but eventually, you managed to pull away and depart. The sun was just starting to rise as he waved goodbye, leaning sleepily against the door frame. In the carriage he had prepared, you slumped against the seat. You couldn’t call off your engagement. Charlie was your best friend, your mother would be so impossibly mad, and above all, you barely knew Benedict Bridgerton.
You quickly batted the thoughts away, reminding yourself that you could not cancel your wedding for a man you’d just met.

Giving Thanks
Now, I've seen my friends and their posts and replying. I wanted to make my own because I know that this one is going to be pretty long. At least, I have an idea that it's going to be pretty long. I won't be able to tag everyone, seeing as I don't know everyone's tumblrs and such like that. There's also going to be some not tags because I'd be too scared to actually tag these people.
I'm so very very thankful for everyone who's come into my life in the last year. I'm thankful to those who've been in my life for several years. My bestest sibs who won't likely see this for the many years that I've been with them, since first grade, middle school, beginning of high school and everyone in between. Those who I call family (not blood related), because you, and everyone I'm about to mention, have helped me in so many ways. As well as just because I'm so happy to have met you. Even if this is just for a season, long or short, I'm so glad to have made the friends and family that I've come across. Who've just been chill, or been there for us.
Thank you @imaginethat0327 for being an inspiration and being the person who helped me step out of my scared and anxious lil bubble I'd created around myself. You're such a lovely person, and I really look forward to our talks, no matter how long apart they are from the last one. Also big thanks to Livie because they've also been such a joy to have met and chat with. Always look forward to our chats <3 Through them I've also met @nyxcentury who's just as lovely. Though we've not talked too much, always love seeing you around. Same goes with Tipthewaitress (dunno their tumblr, so I hope that they see this), and the other lovelies of the Rescue Fire discord server.
@cat-in-the-desert .... I... There's so many things I'm thankful for from you. I'm so thankful that we got to meet, and that you've been such a wonderful friend to the point I consider you one of my closest friends. Genuinely. You're such a lovely person, always looking forward to our chats and hangouts <3
Really quickly, I'm so thankful to have come across @\nightdreamdraws art and animatics, and her AUs... They're so cool and I always look forward to any new art or ideas that they share. Cherrifire with seeing her creative take on the life series, and the amazing things they've done in this community. Magnifique! (Wish I could properly spell that word, apologies if it's wrong, or has no accents, I'm just trying to be wholesome here.... :)) There's so many others, their animatics, art, animations, edits, that I'm so thankful that I've gotten to see because everyone is amazing! I swear-!!! <3 <3 <3 <3
@ezzriin stares and blinks with an ever growing smile You're a lovely lil guy that I'm so grateful to have met. I wanna squish you /pos. I might have to DM you another paragraph I swear— So lovely, and a wonderful chaotic gremlin that I hold dear in my heart.
@foxhunter350 I would write a full paragraph if I could right now, but I'm trying to keep these short.... I'm thankful to have met you. Getting to write ideas and such with you has been such a blast, looking forward to more with you mate. So very grateful to have you in my life. /gen
@nine-of-diamonds, @1watermelontea, @crabbri stares blankly at you three You're all so amazing, I'm thankful that I came across Chasing The Horizon Line and got to meet you. The butterfly affect is something I think about constantly, and so thankful for in this situation. The chaos and fun that we've all had, I cherish it with my whole heart. Thank you for the amazing series to read and the fun times we've had and will have in the future. (please leave me out of this big ass polycule, not professing my love to you lot just yet, again.... /vsilly)
@writingwithaglassquill Quilly, Eilly, my beautiful darling of a muse? /silly /lh /p Lmao, sorry, that was a weird way to start this. I'm thankful to you, and I know I've told you this many times, but I'm forever grateful for coming across your story IHTH because it really gave me the urge to want to write again. You've done so much, you're a fabulous person, and I'm so glad to have met someone like you. A steady head to keep me from just completely sinking. I see you chatting with the others in CTHL and stuff, and it always brings a smile to our face. Grateful to have met you, even if we don't talk much right now, hoping to get to chat with you more in the future. <3 <3 <3 <3

There's still many more people I could write out thanks for, but for now, I think it's best that this be it for a bit. Again, thank you to everyone who we've gotten to meet, who's given us ideas, given us new life and fun things to look forward to. Lots of good times in the future. Here's to another year of fun and laughter and even in the not-so-good-times, love you all so much!

9 Fandom Peeps To Get To Know Better
Thank you for the tag @kellodrawsalot
3 ships I like: uuuuhhhh I don't really ship people? And sometimes I am Against my own characters becoming a couple and then they start dating anyway??? (Tyrian and Will)
IDK it's not that I don't ever it's just that it's not a major thing I do? (I'm not against it or anything)
First Ship: Oh gosh I don't know? See above. The first one I remember is Tai and Sora from Digimon. I drew them kissing one time is what I mean. (Do you see what I mean??)
Last Song: The Dungeon Meshi opening... Uh.. Walking Orchestra by Bump of Chicken?
Favourite Childhood Book: Northern Lights/The Golden Compass AND Dragonsbane/Dealing With Dragons (I cannot choose between the two) (The / is because UK title/US title)
Currently reading: Snuff. I am slowly rereading all of Discworld and am up the the Watch books.
Currently watching: Me and husbando are rewatching Gravity Falls.
Currently consuming: Just got home super hungry after work and had some pitta bread with camembert, a slice of tea loaf and some chocolate raisins
Chocolate raisins are so addictive argh
Also what the heck is with tea loaf. Let me tell you about my Quest For Tea Loaf.
There was this cake we used to be offered sometimes in school lunches. It was delicious and served with butter. Some kinda fruit cake. I never knew what kind. I never, ever found it outside of school. And we didn't have it in high school.
I looked for this cake for years, trying any likely looking fruit cake. Nothing. For decades. Then one Christmas my parents get a fruit cake as a present. And. It's the cake. Finally after twenty odd years, this was the cake! I ask my dad to get the recipe. I MUST have the recipe!
So he does not get the recipe.
But he does find out it is called tea loaf. Excellent. The internet will know.
I find an easy recipe. I make the recipe. It LOOKS right. But it tastes wrong. The taste is wrong, the texture is wrong. It's kinda gross, to be frank.
I look up a different recipe. Maybe that was just a sucky recipe (after all, I've had that problem with banana bread).
OTHER recipe says 'wrap it up and leave it for a few days'.
Huh.
I wrap it up and leave it for a few days.
And somehow, magically, it becomes soft and delicious.
This is it. This is the cake!! After twenty odd years of searching!
Seriously though what the heck kind of cake tastes gross until you leave it for a few days?? That is not how cake works! What the heck?! ...anyway that was last year, this is my second attempt at tea loaf. It is perfect. Argh.
Currently craving: Crisps!! I want some so bad and we don't have any! And it's too late to go buy some but I wouldn't anyway because I have only had just over five hours of sleep and just finished a very long day at work. So no crisps for me.
....I don't think this was how I was supposed to do the meme.
I am too tired rn to tag anyone specifically so please do this if you wanna~

I feel so disconnected all the time.
#what am I doing wrong#why do I feel like I am speaking to myself most of the time#I'm a nobody#I just want to feel like I belong#or at least that people like me#please talk to me#please tag me in things#please just make me feel like I'm not alone#I know that's a hard thing to do though#I feel like I was born alone#I wish I were a goddess but I know I'm just ghost#and I feel like such an ungrateful bitch#“you managed to cajole some of your friends into doing something just last week. Why can't that be enough?”#because it was for my fucking birthday and I didn't even tell them that#because I worked all day and felt completely drained physically and mentally after#and yet it was one of the best birthdays of my life#much better then all the ones I spent alone#I have no clue where this was going and normally it would get saved to my drafts for nobody to ever see#but I am feeling so confident that if I post this then nobody who cares would ever see it that I'm about to do something stupid#I guess the mask cracking is the first step in getting better but also it's gonna be real bad

All these posts about Ganondorf in totk but not one agreeing with me that the best possible thing would actually be if this is the Ganondorf from fsa and not oot, because it'd be the funniest way to remind people that there was actually more than one and also then he would be truly unprepared for this Link and Zelda combo
#please. i want him to squint at Link the first time he sees him and pause like he's waiting for three other links to show up too#then when it doesn't happen he relaxes#only for Zelda and new? Zelda to show up behind him#plus we know fsa Ganondorf was gerudo initially but we don't ever get to actually see him and this be a neat way to do it#also if everyone is pissed about the master sword being damaged and Ganondorf is just like 'look man idk anything about it I've never seen#that's sword before you had a different one last time' that would also be funny.#and like look. that Ganondorf got to show up in three games! the fsa one only got kinda one! let him have two ish
