To be so fucking real, rewatching Gravity Falls as an adult can be so infuriating. I'm sorry Ford and Dipper, but Stan REBUILT THAT PORTAL ALONE, STOP CALLING HIM STUPID EVERY FIVE SECONDS. It urks me so incredibly much in Dungeons, Dungeons and More Dungeons that they both gang up on this man who cares so much and loves his family so much that he worked on a problem for 30 years.

Ford is smart, yes, but he didn't even get back on his own in that time. Stan had remnants of the original plan, no way to find out who "F" was, and no one to talk to about this thing. He got the supplies and some of the info probably in his own conman ways, but that isn't an illegitimate way when the end result is still what he wanted. Ford had someone who was objectively more intelligent than he was to help him build the thing in the first place.

Stan has his flaws, of course. He's stubborn, he's a liar, he's a fool, but he is not foolish! He did not fall for Bill's shit. Ford has all the smarts in the world and is still a total dumbass the moment someone strokes his ego. He betrays McGucket, he falls for Bill's tricks, he puts Dipper and the rest of his family in harm's way, and he betrays STANLEY who was there for him since the beginning because he made a mistake.

i made a joke earlier where i was like "lol kristen is so doomed" but god. kristen applebees was so doomed. from the very beginning. chosen by a frat boy god and expected to be this perfect, sinless being of light. raised in a cult with limited knowledge of what life is like for other people, treated very unfairly and praised as The Chosen One all the while expected to keep up this act forever, without question, and without any error. and even then despite all of that, BECAUSE she was the perfect chosen one, she is chosen as an attempted hellmouth for the apocalypse by the community that had raised her and loved her as helio's child. in both seasons she gets hurt over faith, DIES because of her faith, and from the get go she was always fated to be in some kind of turmoil due to belief

cassie sandsmark star jorts from issue #23 of yj98 you have always been famous to me

I made these jorts in 22 hours over the course of 3 days! pure willpower via my love for cassie sandsmark because I am a total novice in sewing and i am still not very good at it. (i really just combined various tutorials and improvised on measurements and then regretted improvising measurements later on).

I thrifted these jeans last year for cassie vibes (even though I had already made her star-spangled red bellbottoms at that point) and wasn't a fan of how they fit + I couldn't figure out how to style them. I enjoyed sewing in the panels to flare them out and then everything else (cargo pockets and sewing in stars) was hell <3

the pockets are not placed well (nor are they particularly well-made), the hem is uneven, the stars are quite janky (and I think I stitched on too many), I probably stabbed my fingers a million times, and I am so in love with them
