long list of funny things abt my experience doing emote commissions for mike

first of all I wasn't expecting to get commissioned at all (my commissions weren't even open, I just made an exception for mike) let alone by MIKETHELINK of all fucking people, so I had nothing prepared. I had no portfolio, commission sheet, nothing. I had never made any twitch emotes, so I had no examples to show either. meaning that when barbmine showed up in my dms asking if I took emote commissions, first I lost my fucking shit, then I panicked and rushed to find the most recent emote-like illustrations I had, including animation, and the most recent animation I had on hand happened to be a viewtiful joe one lmao. the animation in question 👇

I have some experience taking commissions but they'd always been for friends of mine, this was my first time getting commissioned by a real "client" and the client was fucking mikethelink tazercraft of all fucking people . I know he "found" me through Mine, she sent me a dm first asking for commission info, saying she would show it to mike later. the thing is that when she said that she also implied that she was in touch with other artists too, so I was like "oh ok I'll send my stuff but I probably won't get chosen lol" and then a few hours later I got two twitter notifs, one saying that mr. thelink tazercraft was now following me and another was his DM. to say I almost had a heart attack would be an understatement

later I found out Mine had made a tweet asking for artists to reach out/people to rec artists for mike's twitch emotes. that post had around 40 comments. many people had been recommended more than once. I wasn't mentioned by anyone once, and in fact, I had no fucking idea that post even EXISTED until way after the fact. I have no idea how I ended up getting this job

mike happened to contact me on a day where I was severely sleep deprived. our entire business conversation took place while I was half-panicking, half-almost-passing-out. I don't know how I survived

at many points during our conversation I gave a lot of leeway for mike to give up on commissioning me, implying multiple times that he would be better off commissioning a different artist. and it's not because I lacked confidence (though a bit of that too, of course), but because of my lack of experience. I was very open about that to him, so many times I expected him to second guess his decision to commission me. unexpectedly, he was really insistent. I think partially he didn't want to go through the trouble of finding and contacting a different artist, but also I guess he just liked my art that much (??!?)

I definitely undercharged him lol. it's not that I don't value my work, it's just that I was absolutely not prepared for any of this shit to happen and didn't have enough time to think

I use adobe after effects for animating mike's emotes. I already knew how to animate (though I had never animated anything big), but I had never used after effects before. I even told mike this before accepting the commission, but he just said it was easy and I could totally do it, and I was just like "fucking hell. fine". and look, I know my limits, I knew I'd be able to learn after effects with relative ease. if I thought it'be too much for me to handle, I wouldn't have accepted the commission. it just that to this day I'm still shocked that mike commissioned an artist who HAD NEVER USED THE TOOL NECESSARY FOR THE COMMISSION HE WANTED.

due to the point above I was pretty apprehensive about animating the emotes, but now I'm glad I got this opportunity bc it reignited my passion for animation that had been dwindling for a long time and I've been learning a lot while working. also with every new emote I figure out how to use a different feature of after effects and it makes the job a little bit easier

before giving my payment information I came out to him to avoid confusion with my legal name being different from the name on my socials. he was very chill about it and always used the right name and pronouns for me whenever he mentions me on stream

fun fact: I was reached out to by another big (brazilian, not in qsmp) youtuber for a commission but I had to refuse because I had too much on my plate already (still do..)

AITA for “yes and”ing sexual harassment?

I (19 ?) am very visibly queer. I’ve been perceived as pretty much every gender under the sun, and I like to be as confusing as physically possible. even if I’m dressed down I don’t ever “pass” as anything. I really like this for the most part but it also means I get a lot of weird looks no matter what bathroom I use. usually I just use the women’s because it’s what I’ve used my entire life and also it’s cleaner. no matter which one I’m in people usually only react to me with weird looks. occasionally they’ll go “sorry!” and turn to walk out of the bathroom directly to the other one (this has happened in both the men’s and women’s) and I’ll have to frantically apologize before they can, but that’s the worst it gets normally

anyway, a couple months ago I was in this mostly empty women’s room (me, these two ladies, and the woman who’s about to sexually harass me). I was dressed up for an event so I probably looked pretty strange to most people. this woman (30s?40s? F) approaches me and tells me I’ve got the wrong bathroom. I take it as an honest mistake and say something like “thanks, but it’s ok, I meant to use this one.” I notice this sort of simmering rage on her face after I say this and that’s when it clicks that she: 1. thinks I’m a trans woman (she’s not totally wrong but it’s complicated), and 2. thinks that means I’m posing a Direct Threat To The Sanctity Of The Women’s Restroom. she compels me to leave Again. I give a firmer no, and turn to get in a stall

at this point she goes off the deep end and starts calling me a creep, accusing me of being a man, etc (ftr I’m intersex, was assigned female at birth. but obviously this wouldn’t matter to her and even if it did it wouldn’t excuse the shit she’s saying about trans women). I stay quiet. then she starts loudly speculating about the penis that I apparently have now (keep in mind we are NOT the only two in this restroom either, there’s at least two other women who look very uncomfortable with this whole situation). I kind of snap and say something along the lines of “if you’re really so worried about what parts I have, you can come watch me pee.” she looks totally horrified at this idea and shuts up. I pee alone, thank god

the way I see it, this didn’t cross any line she hadn’t already crossed — she was openly harassing me about my genitals in a public space, I answered in the best way I could think of in the moment that would call her bluff instead of insulting her and making it into a shouting match, which would just be even shitter for everyone involved. “ask stupid questions get stupid answers” and all that (it did occur to me the moment I left that bathroom that she could’ve attacked me. I got really lucky she didn’t call the cops or something)

I still don’t feel bad at all for how I responded, and I wouldn’t even be asking this if we were the only two there, but I’m on AITA because there were two other women in the bathroom I feel like ass for even tangentially involving. they both seemed really uncomfortable with what this lady was saying about trans people, and I know she probably still would’ve harassed me no matter what I did, but I wonder if I could’ve somehow prevented the situation altogether by not responding to her at all or even just straight up leaving the bathroom like she asked. it’s kind of useless to speculate about now, I guess, but since this is apparently a thing that happens to me now I should think about how I might respond better to harassment like that in the future

Hi Lunan, I was wondering about the player stats if you have time. I keep getting reckless as a go to response for things despite trying to play a more shy and timid MC and it made me curious. How do you determine what choices actions constitute which stat? I understand that the game is still in development and it may not be set in stone or other aspects of the game might be more of a priority, but I was mostly interested in picking your brain, in a general sense, if that's OK. I'm sure you're very busy so there's no rush to answer this ask, or answer it at all.

Let's see, player stats are definitely something that will get fine-tuned as we go. And, funny that you ask, I have literally been dwelling specifically on the reckless stat this weekend.

I'll just explain how I have worked this out below. I apologize that I went a little long...I genuinely enjoy chatting about this stuff, and I gotta bit...lost in the sauce here, lol. ^_^

For the MC's personality and actions/reactions and some of their speech patterns, I have 4 main stats. These are on a scale with their opposing characteristics, so 8 total. There's a 5th stat that tracks how your MC flirts.

Reserved vs Outgoing

Gentle vs Assertive

Serious vs Playful

Reckless vs Cautious

Bold Flirting vs Shy Flirting

The MC starts with scores directly in the middle for all of these (50 on a scale of 100); however, I decided not to code for much in the way of "middle ground" behavior. This saves me tons of coding and tons of agonizing about what a middle-of-the-road response would be. So, if your MC's score is above "49" they default to the characteristic listed first, but lower than that, they default to the one listed second.

The only score that is treated differently is the one for flirting. To default to bold, the score needs to be below 40, so the character must show a fairly direct preference for boldness in this area. I did this since shyness is a fairly "safe" bet for this type of characteristic.

Number 4 does not come into play very often - yet. As things heat up, some actions that the player does not get to choose will be determined by their score in this stat. Currently, there are only a few options to choose what influences this score. It is possible to barely have any score for this stat one way or another. I'm going to be increasing the influence of this and probably adding some new ways to get points for this as I do some editing.

As for how I determine if something raises or lowers a stat in general, I try to use my best judgment to determine motivation when I design the choices that influence stats. To me, being reckless or cautious could be either intentional or not. I think the first time this stat comes into play is in Chapter 1 when MC decides if they are going to try to steal the honeycakes at the beginning. Trying to snatch one gives an increase to recklessness since it could be a naughty or impulsive decision.

I also wanted 1, 4, and 5 to be independent of one another since someone could be more outgoing but very timid when they flirt and cautious when they act. Outgoing/Reserved is another that needs some adjusting as well and will be tweaked in the future.

The others are more straightforward. If an action or speech choice is more kind/soft/mild/considerate, I label it "gentle." If it is more direct or even a bit aggressive, I label it "assertive." I kinda just have to use my own interpretation as best I can, and I know that to other people some of my options will feel flipped (occupational hazard, lol).

I have liked this system for the most part. It took a lot of working out when I got started. I was just learning so it was easily a solid week of me just hammering out what I understood and what worked. I have learned so much since then. I knew I wanted to keep things paired down to ease my own burden. Lots of stats can be so much fun in a game, but I just do not want to get too lost in it, so I keep my focus narrow.

WHB chapter 3 spoilers below (and chapter 2)

Also CW for angelic fuckedupfest and a.k.a. top reasons why Belial is the bestest boy. So, we have already witnessed 'angelification' (circa 2-97) with Ppyong's cousin Ppung, and now we find out that it happened to Belial's legion.

From what I get is that he led 80 legions, 40 fell during the battle, and then after that the remaining 40 fell victim to the angelification seeds (?), which is enormous loss not only in terms of strictly human (devil?) resources, but for Belial personally. Especially considering survivor guilt settling down.

It's almost baffling how literally every other captain/duke/prince/etc in Gehenna got off easy. Ok, Leraye got his arm pierced with a spear (but that part is on you, buddy), and then Belial is living through Hell in Hell.

Satan hesitated for how long putting Ppung down, and Belial had to put down his 40 comrades on the spot. And it wasn't the painful death either. The way Belial can remember in perfect detail every his action, before it all bluring in his mind- And it was stressed several times the sheer importance of comradery between demons, and the way they treat each other as equals, or the way demons aren't forced to join legion of certain captain or ruler, but simply choose to 'cause they vibe with the dude.

And if Belial thinks he betrayed himself -- I totally get it. I wonder if he would change his attitude comparing to his pre-engelification character and we get to find what he used to be through through Satan's or Sitri's or Ppyong's, or any other demon's stories, knowing full well that we'll never meet that devil again. Solomon spill the beans Probably not, but that would be hella cool.

Anyway. Literally how can this man walk and talk straight (ok, Jiyu is doing the most part, but you get my point). With these mental capabilities Belial might as well just change his class from marksman to tank. How can you not love him??? Minor rant, but I love his interactions with Jiyu, and I can fully ignore the fact that we had like... 3 lines of dialogue. Sure, Jiyu is suck-up to all his superiors including Belial, but he so genuinly cares about him, being also his second pair of eyes on the battlefield (which is kind of ironic honestly). And all of Hell knows how much Belial cares about Jiyu.

I wonder if Jiyu is overwhelmed by all the thoughts and regrets going through Belial's head, or maybe they can psychically and/or mentally distance each other somehow. They are besties, you legally cannot tell me otherwise. Do you think Belial just silently gossips with Jiyu about,,, stuff?

The car had a lingering scent of fresh eucalyptus, most likely from the cooling gel he used on his limbs; not that you minded. You closed the door and smiled at the man beside you.

He was dressed in gray sweats, a white shirt, and a forest green zip up; his hair seemed to be a little more kept than usual and you could smell hints of cologne.

“Hi,” you said as you buckled your seat belt. 

“Hey” he responded, looking back over your seat to pull away from the curb.

His right arm sported a hook-like mechanism that fit onto a steering knob in the center console. He rotated the peg to steer the car as his other hand controlled the speed and brakes. You were quite astonished as to how the car functioned, it was remarkable that technology allowed for him to drive, a few years back it would have been impossible. 

“Take a picture, it’ll last longer” he said, eyes not moving from the road. 

“Huh? Oh. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean..”

“Relax, I’m just being an ass,” he said lightly, shooting you a teasing glance. 

You smiled and looked out the window at the darkening city.

You arrived at this italian restaurant downtown that was pretty well known for having the best spaghetti in town, not too fancy though. That's good. Keep things neutral.

Anakin drove up the row looking for a spot, there was one available one at the front of the establishment, it was a handicapped one; but he continued to go for the spot.

He could park there, how did you forget? 

He headed towards it when another car quickly cut him off and claimed the space. He cursed as he slammed on the breaks. 

“Fuckin idiot doesn’t know how to drive” he huffed, swiveling the steering knob away from the spot. You watched intently as an arrogant looking guy got out of the parked car, he didn’t even have a handicapped sticker or tag.

What an ass.

The only other spot left was at the end of the lot, farthest away from the restaurant, you knew Anakin could walk there, but you still felt bad that you had to park so far; though you decided to keep your mouth shut, he already seemed embarrassed enough that he was robbed of a spot (a handicapped spot, no less) and you were still figuring out how to navigate his ill temper. 

Instead, once the two of you were out of the car, you gently wrapped one of your arms around his left, garnering a surprised look from the older man. 

“Something wrong?” he asked, almost worriedly.

You smiled up at him, “no”.

He pursed his lips slightly and nodded his head before returning a small smile to you. If he had given you that look when you first met him, you wouldn’t have been able to notice he was even smiling at all.

The two of you shared a nice meal in the dimly lit restaurant talking about random topics that came to mind. Most of the time a wide smile was plastered on your face and the rest of the time was you just observing the man in front of you; he was sweet- caring even, you never would have imagined the guy you met at the bar could have as much heart as the man in front of you. 

“Well, I guess that's what I get for being a smart ass,” he laughed, finishing an intriguing story from the other day.

You smiled and placed a gentle hand on his gloved one that was lying palm down on the table; as he saw where your destination was, he looked up to meet your gaze.

“Well I like your smart-assery” you giggled at your made up word.

‘’Smart-assery’?” he questioned with a playful grin.

Rolling your eyes you nodded, “Mhm, the quality of being a smart ass”.

His starry blue eyes trained on your glowing face as he grabbed his wine with his free hand; he lifted the glass and announced “well. Cheers to a new phrase, coined by no other than our own y/n” he teased. 

You felt your cheeks heating up, but you joined him in his comedic toast.

Soon after he paid for the meal and the two of you set off; he offered for you to go to his place or back to the dorms and obviously you went with the handsome man who you had taken a particular interest in.

Before you knew it, you were practically lying in his lap, you divert your attention from the tv up to him. So I hopped into a free trial of NSO cause I wanted to check out Nintendo Music. I was already under no illusion this would be worth anyone's time as anything but an extra bonus for paying for a service you likely already pay for to play smash and splatoon, but wow this is truly pathetic. Here is the selection:

This is a PITIFUL list. TWO ZELDAS??? TWO KIRBYS???? IN A **MUSIC** APP?????? That's not getting into the other omissions, but this is a pretty glaring one. The only noteworthy thing about this selection is that I guess we officially call the first NA Fire Emblem with its subtitle now. Neat I guess. Also, these are Nintendo soundtracks, so really short musical stings (think Samus or Link getting Power up) bloat these OSTs, which for me is an L. No 3DS games at all by the way, nor any of the few remaining Wii U exclusives.

So what about its two vaunted features, easy music extension and spoilers? Easy Music Extension is mediocre. You can extend some songs to 15, 30, and 60 min. No longer or shorter. No reason not to have more options but whatever. I say some songs though cause the choices seem arbitrary. Obviously the short music stings can't be extended. I thought it was based on if the music would loop in game, but so far three of the OOT dungeons loop. They're all just stupid 40 second tracks that just.... Can't loop. Neither can Sheik's theme???

Spoiler prevention allows you to nix a whole game from rotation on any playlist. Not useful for what it sets out to do, but if you HAPPEN to want to use a premade mixed game playlist (you won't but we'll get to it) and there are games you just straight up don't like ANYTHING from, itll keep them out. I like Metroid music but I really hate the NES sound font at this point so were I to use this app indefinitely I'd certainly throw those out. Can't be used selectively though, so if you do like ONE song from a game, then you gotta keep it open to them all.

Lets talk about the playlists because these are insane. First off, no community playlists. I get that there's no way they could stop profanity if they added those, but thats a massive L already. Ok so fine, no community playlists, whats poppin in premade town. Well its got some staples: top tracks on the app, franchise wide selections (most franchises on here are 2 games tops though right now), each game has a playlist of just the songs that can be extended. Then there's the weird ones. Each game has playlists that vaguely categorizes some of the music into certain modes of play? Take Nintendogs for example

Ok. These make sense for Splatoon at least cause they separate them by in-game artists and game mode. Then there's the mood playlists, all with cringy names like Powering Up or whatever. And then there's my favorite, the character centric playlists! These are hilarious. They are just songs that are related to the characters. And the selection of characters? Well....

Yeah dude, thats sick. I def want to listen to BOO music or Wiggler music. It appears that as I was writing this they also added ones for the ScarVi professors, legendaries, and the DLC legendaries. Swell. The wiggler playlist is five songs, with six minutes total of music. Really gettin into that Wiggler mindset. Wiggler Wednesday everyone.

Its just sad. If you play games online on Switch and the music you want to listen to is on here, it isnt gonna kill you. You're already paying for it. But right now the selection is TERRIBLE, some of the tracks you would expect to be extendable aren't, and some of these loops are under a minute (every oot dungeon except forest, water, and shadow I can't stress enough). And for what? The composers aren't making money off this, they don't even get CREDITS on the songs (the spot where artist would be on Spotify is the game title). Even if they WERE, the service costs less than Spotify, so they wouldn't be making much anyway.

This is basically for no one. Real nintendo music diehards who would lap this up are missing a LOT of big names, and anyone who ISN'T probably doesn't care enough to download the app in the first place. To say nothing of people like me, who would want music from non-Nintendo games mixed in. Also its weirdly hard to find??? I tried searching Nintendo Music on the Play Store and couldn't find it, I had to access a link on Google. So there's your deep dive if you cared. What a waste of time and energy. Just put it on Spotify and Apple Music and be done.

Magma event details!

A few words about Magma for newcomers:

Magma is a free browser based art program where participants can collaborate and draw on the same canvas at the same time! Magma works on both PC and mobile devices! Magma has most useful art program tools! But some are a little difficult to find, like layer opacity lock. You can export the images as PNGs and PSDs so you can save and keep all your layers etc.!

Hosting a session is easy! Set up a new canvas and share the link and that's it, you can start drawing. You can do public sessions like mine, or private sessions just with your close group. Update!! Previously you were able to use Magma anonymously without making an account, but this option does not exist anymore.

Have fun! These events are meant to get you inspired, get to know other artists and create awesome art and ideas together!

Everyone is welcome to join my sessions! Doesn't matter where or when you join. You don't need to draw anything there, you can also just come and chat with us and watch others do their magic! Lurking is totally fine too!

Avoid drawing too big! Make sure to leave enough space for other people's drawings! Mind that there are 40-80 people partaking in these weekend events! (Max. 1/6th of the canvas per drawing is ideal!) We recommend to zoom in at 100-150% before you start drawing to avoid this. However! If you have an idea that others can contribute to, I'd be excited to hear it!! Those are highly appreciated!

Avoid drawing over the canvas frames!This is for possible future use in i.e. collages & personal aesthetics. They are there for a reason.

Keep it PG!

You are allowed to paste reference images in the session to use as a base etc.! Please remove them when you don't need them anymore and make sure not to cover areas where others are currently drawing!

When you are finished with your piece, please flatten your layers! The Magma total layer limit is 60 layers per canvas and it gets full rather fast. We have set a 8 layer limit per user/canvas. (If you have used layer effects in your piece, start flattening from bottom to top so they get preserved correctly!)

If you want to post/share Magma art that features other artists' works, you must ask for their permission first! This is very important!! Simple blur/solid color to hide them is ok, otherwise editing other people's art is not!

If you need more time to finish your piece, please let me know as soon as possible! If you know you aren't going to finish yours, please release the space for others to use!

Don't hesitate to ask anything! We are very happy to help out make the most of your session! Our regulars are all friendly and helpful, and my co-admin and mods are able to assist with i.e. getting your layers back!

Other tips!

Some users have experienced disasters losing layers for good by pressing CTRL + X, we recommend avoiding that for now!

Save regularly! Magma is a server based program so it's not as stable as your usual art programs, and also when the program refreshes you might lose some of your progress. Better saved than sorry! You can export the whole canvas as PNG, JPG & PSD!

You can have up to two Magma sessions open in your browser at once!

If you log out of the session you might lose rights to your layers. Please ask either the admin or approved users to give your layers back to you!

If Magma is going slow for you, it may be fixed by turning off the graphics accelerator. Go to Edit > Settings > Turn off Graphics Accelerator.

Merge layers with layer effects starting from bottom to top! For some reason Magma messes them up easily otherwise and the results will not look like you want.

Magma has a text chat we love to hang out in, it's of course optional but we would be happy to have you there!

You can send private messages to others by being on the same canvas with the receiver and clicking their icon!

Magma also has a voice call option. We prefer not to use it, but it's easy to misclick the button! Don't be alarmed!

We're continually figuring out new features and bugs in each session, I want to note down all of them to make the sessions as smooth and fun for you as possible! Let us know if you have any issues!

Also something notable: it's always well appreciated if you draw official Pokémon characters! Most of my followers are into submas or Pokémon in general so as the host I'd like to offer content most would enjoy! Some events welcome OCs but the free doodle session will always stay open for your characters!

the Charge potency mechanic is back, and is present in all 3 items of this release; This ID gains charge on Skills 1 and 3, and spends it on skills 1 and 2, which diverges from the standard which W/R corp id's had given us in the past

Passive:

Her passive is able to give increased damage up to 15% more damage while at 5 charge potency, While under 50% HP, gain an up to 25% additional increase to damage; Calculation is (3 x Charge Potency), and a bonus (5 x Charge Potency) under the threshold.

As all 3 charge potency passives, gain 1 charge potency for every 10 charge count spent.

Skill 1:

rolls 11 with no charge, gains 3 charge count on hit. can spend 5 Charge count for coin power, making it roll up to 15.

Skill 2:

Rolls for 16 without charge being spent. spends 10 charge to gain coin power, rolling for 22 Max. If at 5~9 Charge count, spend HP to gain necessary charge for conditional. (between 10 and 2% hp)

If in an envy resonance chain of 3+, which it should be because this is your primary source of damage, consume all charge count on self and deal (Charge potency + 4)% increased damage for every charge count this skill spent, including for the coin power conditional, to a maximum of 180% increase.

When accounting for passive, this is a 220% increase to damage from Kit alone.

Skill 3:

This Skill rolls for 16 base, theoretically at least. as this skill gives you charge, and gains coin power based on charge potency, which will be 1 by default, it's actual lowest-max roll is 19.

If used while you already have charge, this skill can roll for 20, 24, 28, and 32 at 1,2,3, and 4 charge potency respectively.

This skill on its own is able to give between 9 and 16 charge count based on potency which allows you to turn 2 your Skill 2 whilst gaining bonus damage due to the envy fragility which this skill applies.

While at 2+ Charge potency, inflict an additional Envy Fragility. While at 3+ charge potency, deal 8% increased damage on coin 4, max of 40% at 5 Potency.

This ID strikes a balance between gaining and spending charge count; The mechanic of charge potency works well with the skills 1 and 2 spending charge, rather than the skill 3 like previous ID's.

I do find that there is sometimes a difficulty in fights to gain your charge count efficiently due to your s2 being your most consistent skill, your skill 1 being slightly negative on charge, and only having 1 S3 in your deck.

Defence Skill:

Dimension Shredder Outis:

Shockingly this EGO is not multi coined, depsite how long the animation is. Im starting to think that this is simply a thing with Charge related EGO and ID's because i predicted for the new ID's that they would reuse coins, the W corp Outis ID that it would reuse coins, and that this EGO would be multi coined.

This EGO rolls a 30, with an offence level of +5.

if at less than 10 Charge count, take 10% non lethal HP damage to gain +10 Charge count.

Consume all charge count on use, deal 1% increased damage for every charge count spent. (Max 30%) (technically consumes up to 40 Charge count, but the highest possible count outside of MD is 30, and there is no benefit higher than 30%)

Attack Weight 4, gains attack weight based on highest resonance, up to 6 attack weight total.

My main problem with this EGO is that it cant properly function without the use of W corp Outis, not only because it wants charge to function, but also because it wants Charge POTENCY, so even if she had another charge ID it wouldnt work to full efficiency.

[On hit] Inflicts Dimensional rift, max of 2 at 3 Charge Potency.

[On Hit] Gain 1 Haste and Load (something something outis gaining a load) for each charge potency. Note that you do in fact need charge potency to gain any, as this skill will consume ALL charge count, meaning that without a potency passive your Potency will be Zero. only 3 of either can be gained per use of the skill, which means that as long as you have W corp Outis passive, and 2 avaliable targets you gain max value from this.

heres the other case of Needing charge potency to make use of this: skills which consume charge deal 2% increased damage for (Charge Potency - one), meaning that 6 is needed to gain the cap of 10%, and 2 is needed to activate this at a minimum.

This skill inflicts up to 4 defence level down, and 2 HP healing down, which makes its return from like 5 events ago in Hells Chicken.

A new effect, named photoelectricity, which gives the attacker charge count equal to count on hit (or count +3 if they are below 5 count), similar to Spark discharge but without the rupture count

Skill 3:

rolls for 13 base. Gains charge count based on potency, anywhere between 10 and 19 charge count.

at 2 and 4 charge potency rolls for 17 and 21 respectively.

inflicts the photoelectricity effect on hit. inflicts same turn Blunt fragility on hit, however as he gains haste from his passive, its not as bad as some others, however it means that he cant inflict both blunt fragility and defence level down in the same turn without using multiple slots.

I don't want to be shitty to younger people on tumblr and in social justice spaces (teens and early 20s) and their absolutism and black and white thinking because I totally was like that too. I absolutely loved that thing where someone said something bad about a tumblr user and then you could act like everything they said was suspect forever. It was so convenient, to put things neatly into boxes. Social justice on here was very different back then, this would have been the early 2010s and a lot of it was about cultural appropriation vs appreciation. I think that is a very important conversation but this too was very black and white. I noticed that the only person injecting any nuance was an activist in her 40s I used to follow. Through her I learned also that some topics are really loaded for certain people but others might not feel the same because of different life experiences, even if they were the same ethnic group encountering the same type of potential appropriation. She got me primed for nuance I would later need, when my brain flat out stopped letting me deal with black and white thinking after my breakdown in 2015 and the fallout going up till 2017 and beyond. It's only now that I am really getting better. With occassional lapses. (Like when people on here were lauding protest suicide, that messed with my brain so much. Activists like the one I used to follow who don't like that kind of thinking, or the bloodthirstiness of a lot of the 'activism' shit on here, leave tumblr. They do, because it is shit here. You can get attacked for opposing the violence and self flaggelation in the rhetoric on here. By people you broadly agree with!!)

I think the reason youth tends to come with this kind of thinking is because they haven't seen it happen many times before and not lead to revolution. I can only assume that there really are people using social media to make young people interested in activism think that accelerationism is the only pure policy- by not doing things that might make things slightly better, society will be forced to fall and revolutionise into something much better. That means you don't become impure in the eyes of some internet strangers who don't give a fuck about you as a person, which is important to most people especially younger ones who haven't found their 'people' yet- everyone wants to be accepted. So you wait, years and years, the revolution doesn't happen. Things get worse in many ways, but it's never worse enough for society to fall. Because it won't. Or I guess probability means statistically, it could. But the older you get, the less likely it seems. What will you do?

I think the only thing that helped me out of this headspace was meeting people in real life who believed the same things as me, but who I disagreed with slightly. I found out oh wait, I do not have to do as the internet says and cast these people out. I can slightly disagree on how ideally an issue should be handled and that is ok. Now, many years later, I'm reclaiming my right to think the way I do, and to not trick myself into thinking I am a way I am not. The way my brain works may not be how my friend's brain works, but I can trust she won't reject me because I find JK Rowling's opinions offensive but don't find content dunking on her interesting in any way. Because she's my friend, and at the end of the day we share the same values.

To someone not online I don't think this stuff would make sense at all. Sadly I'm too weak to not be online, and I have this long background of being in that space which influences all the pushback with myself I've had to do. Its hard to get rid of that history, and hard to ignore the posting on here that seems to validate things that people living with OCD cannot put stock in (e.g. your feelings and thoughts are objectively real and also show what kind of person you really are- absolutely not something we can accept and still live with ourselves.) But I have to do it. I have to keep living. I have to believe that would be a net good. If I can't stay offline, maybe by writing this stuff it will help me and others who think like me.

My top tips for when you realise society isn't falling and won't just reset and come back better:

Join IRL activists, support their actions, plan actions with them. Get used to the variety of shapes activism takes. Talk with them about the things you disagree with. Your ability to ally with people you slightly disagree with but agree on most issues is the number 1 way you become set apart from internet-based activism.

Be suspicious of anyone promoting inaction as activism. (Yes that's about the not voting people.) You don't become impure if you vote for the candidate who is the least shit, or has the most chance of getting in and making things less shit. That's OCD thinking that for some reason has become mainstream on tumblr among non-sufferers and sufferers alike.

Posting on tumblr doesn't matter. I have seen people who convinced themselves it did go down conspiracy rabbit holes very easily. (You know- 'they are trying to silence us because of the importance of our posting!' and then it spirals from there)

People trying to guilt and shame you into doing certain things, such as rejecting your long-term mental health, or tell you that if you feel like shit all the time it's a good thing somehow- stay away from that thinking like its infectious. The most effective activism comes from people who are in an ok place mentally so they can plan and work together, not people who feel like them feeling ok is bad or offensive somehow and are making snap decisions based on this. You feeling bad doesn't help anyone.

hey ling, hope ur doing well and was wondering if i could ask some advice - totally ok if no but. im currently trying to screen record a cdrama right now so i can rewatch it later w/o paying, but i only recorded one episode and it's taken up all my icould and google drive storage 😭 i was wondering if u knew anything i could do, since i feel like r educated in the ways of 🏴‍☠️ 😭

screenrecording is the least efficient way of doing it i think :( ive never tried to do it for more than maybe a few minutes-long clips (most are around 30-40 seconds!), and doing it bloats your memory while also being worse quality. now the last thing may not be a huge deal (i personally dont mind if sth is 4k or 480/720p, esp since older films and dramas simply are harder to find in full hd), but storage efficiency is what you're here for so!!

delete things (files, programs, games, etc) you don't use (anymore), as that probably already opens up a ton of space. there are programs that can help you with looking up which files and shit you use/open the least.

when pirating, ofc use a trusted site and client but also check which files are the smallest and just get that one (unless youre a gifmaker or a real stickler for hd, 720p will suffice imo). tv series in my experience run about 20-30gb if theyre 1080, so even smaller if it's not as hd! google drive only gives 15gb but i think if you compress it into a zip file it miiiiiight fit? if not you can just split it between gdrive and your icloud :)!

an alternatuve option would be to find a streaming wrbsite that had the series but not paywalled, it's less work but the downside is that you can't access this offline (the main reason i like owning (digital) copies)

last but not least, and unfortunately this is the best way to have enough storage: invest in an external hard disk. if you're planning on having more tv series (and perhaps movies) on ur pc/laptop, the best and easiest way to make sure you (almost) never run out of storage is to just... buy more! i splurged on a 5tb external hard disk with bday-christmas money but obviously even having a 256gb/512gb one will be enough if you're not obsessed with putting entire filmographies on there like me djfngmv even getting a bunch of 32/64/128gb usb sticks will prob help out, and while it absolutely is an investment, if you're already paying for a subscription this is a surefire way to make sure you get your money's worth in case they take it off the platform or whatever (looking at how guardian got the boot from literally every streaming platform including yt 😭😭😭)

Will has a negative opinion of psychogy and affini from before the events of s1 hannibal. He failed the psych eval to be an agent, expressed distaste at the criminal minds museum and his answer to crawford he has at least a base knowledge of what autism/asperges is and the totally not concerning phrase "you won't like me psychoanalyzed" reads to me as someone has tried before (most likely just "you won't like me if you know me"). He seems to dislike on principle mental illness labels given lightly even to criminals he does not care about, contesting them immediately in favor of a more nuanced description. He isn't scared or dislikes social interaction (he seeks out pp he likes and is able to get a wife, be a prof, no prior accidents) he looks... Intimately aware he's different wich is what makes him unique and useful but also lonely. He is a different species. Has no interest to blend in more than he has. He does not find other people that interesting, not only H. Never meting someone who just gets you sounds terrible to me. He works fine under jack because Jack doesn't really treat him like person. He is an object to use that he believes with the appropriate measures(H) can be fixed and overclocked as necessary. Will is fine with this because the alternative is being some weird freak you gotta be careful with even if you don't like him and he'd rather be crawfords can of WD-40 for stuck cases. He is attached to the job be he sees it as his biggest redeeming social  value: to use his otherness for good. Without it he's feel personally bad and would loose his best asset to be accepted by the others. He doesn't recognize in any label and getting tagged with one he wod see as a hindrance and upset him more than hes willing to admit (he only ever complains of the inaccuracy of the attempts to do so but I know him personally OK?) This is something he's unwilling to compromise on for the comfort of others. He knows how badly some want to "know what he is, unmask him" and no one seems interested in trying to understand instead. Alana first rejects him as patient (good) but never takes a step forwards he desperately wants, she  is going to help but does not want him in her bubble. More than loving Alana I think will liked Alana, wich is already huge for him. Alana might be the first time he's ever wanted to try inviting another person in his space and is quite taken by the rejection. I know will is not the solitary type by the 7 dogs he wants to be part of social structures everyone just sucks to him. He is not getting his socialization needs met at all and he does not want to think about it he is doing the (very simplified) equation: his needs are the hannibal type = he is bad. Maybe if he wasnt so repressed about this he would have not gone so off the rails at the first taste of blood, less inner turmoil, more shooting hannibal. Re:mental illness. When in prison he wants hannibal dead, he gets wrong the part where he's fine with someone else doing it for him. He wants him dead n2 for ruining his life/rep/etc and n1 for the mental invasion. Stopping the chesapeake ripper is tertiary. What hannibal did to him is the most violating thing he could have done, and we're not talking about the tube and ear down his throat. He crossed boundaries in Wills mind Will himself did not venture to(wich leaves them unguarded) and it makes him so so so mad. Chilton is the insult to the injury bc now there's a cretin who thinks he can do that too.
