No way Carol makes halloween art for once!! Turns out drawing characters dressed as other characters is very fun :]

I actually had the idea to draw Kizuna as Juliet ages back when i saw that Lolipop chainsaw was getting a remaster, but i decided to wait till halloween for that since it felt most appropriate. Then i thought it be fun to draw Haruhiko as Denji, mainly because i always read his lines with his voice in the english dub

And you know it's not me if i didn't made Ayame as well lmao, i did say ages back that she reminds me of Legosi from Beastars sooooooo

A bunch of sketches and pen/marker doodles! Had a lot of fun drawing the inkling and octoling Yukis, which made me decide to post some of these other ones too. I don't usually post scraps and what not but I figured, hey why not do a big ol post for fun.

I actually really liked the results in attempting splatoon faces this time. One of my favorite worlds, very iconic art and music. If you haven't heard Splatoon music before, you're missing out.

Another older one. DRA1 Yuki sure looks like he's up to no good. I no longer remember any context that might have existed when I drew it lol

On to some sketches and scraps!

Some httyd au sketches. In which Yuki raises a baby Deathsong. I can only imagine the others needed to be convinced on that one haha. Httyd species are kinda tricky to draw for me still, but dragons in general are a huge sp:in for me, have been pretty much forever, and httyd is close to my heart as well. If you are curious, in this AU, Kinjo has a razorwhip and mekaru's got a monstrous nightmare. Not sure about the rest, maybe someday I'll get into it more. I have considered writing/drawing for some of the other aus in my brain, because aus are very fun, but not until I wrap up some other things.

Speaking of aus, this one was after a Promare rewatch haha. I have a lot of little aus lying around in my brain I guess. If you're curious, Akane, Yuki, and Utsuro were all mad burnish members here, with them being in the same position as Lio, with Gueira and Meis. Meanwhile, Tsurugi's probably aligned with Freeze Force or Burning Rescue, but is actually also secretly a burnish too. Which I'm sure he handles in a very healthy and not self destructive way, ofc. /J

And finally, one last Yuki for the road. I wonder if I'll ever get tired of drawing DRA1 Yuki...? He's pretty much a sp:in now so hopefully not (and probably not). His hair used to be such a pain but at this point it's kinda relaxing, even if I sorta draw it 10 different ways lol.

Side note this is like the most non-pony art I've posted here in ages isn't it? I didn't expect for this to become a blog solely focused on my pony au but I won't lie I'm pretty invested in it at this point, art and story wise.

"You know, I don't actually come to Kichijoji that much," says Ann. "I didn't even know this place was here."

It's kind of a hole in the wall. In the floor. Ren glances back towards the narrow stairs like he's expecting someone. Muhen looks bored. He's flipping through a book at the counter.

"This is super good, though," Ann adds, holding up her mocktail. "Thanks for bringing me!"

"Sure," says Ren.

There's no singer today. She's not scheduled to come in for another couple of days. Maybe he'll bring Haru to see her then, since they're technically dating as of last Sunday.

Ann knows this, but didn't say anything about that when he asked her here tonight. She's too tactful for that. Besides, they're here as friends.

Ren's never brought a friend here. He's never brought anyone here. A handful of times, he was brought. The Jazz Jin feels comfortable and familiar enough to be an old haunt, but now that Ren really thinks about it, he hasn't even tried all the mocktails on the menu. What is it they say--that people come, and they go?

"Hey, so," Ann says softly.

It feels too weird to contemplate bringing Haru here. He really should. They're dating. He likes her. She likes him. He really does like her. It's just, the boy who'd brought him here that handful of times might have killed her father.

Some people may stay with you, though.

Ann's nails are painted an eggshell blue today. He isn't really sure why he called her--no, of course he is. It's always Ann he calls when he needs exactly what only she can give, something uniquely warm. Ren had been on the way to Kichijoji before he'd registered the tap of his train card, realised he couldn't stomach the music alone, and she'd said Hello? only a few shorts moments before he noticed he'd called her at all. Her company is like hot chocolate or a sticky toffee cake, warm and sweet, hard to feel empty with.

She folds her hands over his and says, "Hey, Ren, how are you feeling?"

Pretty alive, all things considered. So his cheek's a little tender, and maybe she had to help him down the stairs.

Ann squeezes his hand.

Someone changes the record. Ren likes this one. Someone else hadn't so much, but then, his opinion isn't of consequence anymore.

"I like the music here," Ann chirps. "Should I get a record player, do you think? You can give me recs, yeah?"

"Sure," says Ren again. He smiles back at her and doesn't look at the stairs again.

if i weren't occupied with other stuff i would've taken the time to go through the past chapters again one by one to collect all the scattered hints ;;;

though slowly but surely, all the clues about the clash and the current situation between houses are finally being connected and some theories and questions are now progressively being answered

i'm gonna try to participate in this ep's discussions as well o7

I think Haru and Akira would talk for hours about different coffee brands and what they work best with. I think they’d be the worst people to go to a cafe with because they’d ask eighteen questions about the house blend, all the different available options, and spend ten minutes discussing which dessert would pair best with which coffee. It’s like a game for them both to try and make the best pairing and they both choose different things to share and compare.

I bet Haru becomes like a food critic reviewer when it comes to the pairings (and is intelligence gathering for her own cafe) and Akira supports this, endorses it, and when he disagrees with her on a coffee blend + cake combo, it’s usually to encourage her to stand firm and prove why she thinks it’s a good combination. It’s just good fun for them both but it would be really cute I think.
