His bad luck is back again.

As Bennett was in the branch of a large tree, avoiding the rocks that 3 Hilichurls are throwning at him, he can't stop thinking back some months ago, where his life was the best he have ever dream.

Back in the day the Almigthy Creator woke up from their sleep and took the Traveler as their first vassel, he was daydreaming of ever meeting them, since he haves memory, he can remember his dads telling him bedtime storys and legends of the Almigthy Creator, of how they made this word, bless it and mold all with care and love for all of them was something they did often when he was more little, never he could imagine that the literally Creator of all would woke up in Mondstatd, something that just elders pray about to see with their eyes, something that young ones hope that their generation would have the pride to tell about, it finally happend.

You can even imagine his exciment when he notice how other vision holders began to be grap in the wram embrace of the Guide of the elements, not only from Mondstatd, but also Liyue and even some from Inazuma and Sumeru and Fontaine! You could heard the loud "GASP" he let out when non other that Razor was chosen as a vassel from miles away, how his eyes sparkle as he saw the vassels walk by, showing the artifacts and wepons their Grace gift to them with pride ( Even tho that at the begining they were just random and din't really fit them... ).

Slowly but surely, people around Teyvat began to randomly be chosen as a vassel, and he could only wish to be one of them, he tried his hardest to cach their goddly sigth for just a second, fithing enemies that other adventures fear ( Even tho he end up in Mondtastd church to be heal by Barbara ), getting inside a ancient ruin to get a legendary artifact ( Wich was just a rumor and it din't exist such thing ), heck, he even began to pray harder before going to sleep to the point of almost dessesperation, as his dads peeked thro his door staring at him, kneling infront of his bed almost screaming.

As just time pass, he began to get a bit anxius, more and more people he know were chossed as vassels, but not him... Razor, Barbara, Kaeya, Lisa, Amber, The Traveler, Noelle, all discribe from a different perspective how it was the felling of becoming a vassel, something that he really wanted, but knowing his luck... the only thing he could had is hope.

One late nigth, when his constellecion was shining for all to see in the dark of Mondstatd, his bad luck hit again, making him running around to cach a owl that steald his sword, he presenciate something that fit the tittle of Miracle, a meteor shower start, as he know from the tales...

As the sky began to shine, he have see it before, normally theres a purple glow on it, and people have said that if they chose you, that beuthiful purple glow start would approuch you.

Aneixiety began to grow in his stomach, going up to his throt. He cross his fingers and murmur under his breath.

He felt a blush on his checks as he heard the voice of non other that the Gods of Gods, prise him, and call him cute names that only his fathers call him, the nickname they use more to call him was "My child" ( Tho he notice that they call "My child" almost everyone around his age or below, but still he was the first to be call that. ), they spend a good amount of time farming artifacts meant for him, swords? Now he have a good hand to pick of, as the the Almigthy above is always getting new wepons and they always see if theres one that cold fit him, he knows is a support, he have heard it from the Creator one or two times, but it still make him feel so especial to know that the Almigthy Creator has favorites and he is one of them... wich sooner or later, make him actually see the Almigthy Creator as a parental figure.

Along side them, his bad luck dessapeard, chest were not affected by his bad luck, weather? Nope, teamates? Never, now that they have make him stronger he was not only able to protect himself, but now his others... Countless adventures, powerfull enemies, lovely escenarys, all that he dream of when he was back in his normal life have came real... Or so he thogth.

Because dreams are that, dreams, and one way or another, you would wake up.

Maybe it was his fault for becoming so dependient of them.

Maybe it was his fault for letting his guard down.

Maybe he could have do something to prevent them for dissapear.

Six months back, some time after that Fontaine was saved from the profesy, he wake up and make his day, everything was normal, all people were doing their own things, but... he some how feel... out of place, like something its wrong, one of his first mistakes was think that it was his imagintaion or after the Creator appeard like usual and take control over him he would feel better, but they din't show up.

Its not so out of place that they din't appear for time to time, but this time it feel... different, he can't put his finger on it, but it feel weird.

Its almost as they didn't exist, like it was before their awakening, the vision holders that were filled with their warm often, now feel more cold that they would have before, and the more terrefing thing was, the things they got for them slowly losse their holy aura.

The artifacts? Began lo lose the color they had.

The wepons? Began to be normal ones that were capable of getting broke.

The visions? They don't shine as they used to.

And slowly, his bad luck was back again.

The wind took his map out of his reach, he got loss, it began to rain, a bunch of Hilichurls hunt him down, and last but not least, the sword they took a bunch of materials to level up for him, broke in two when he was figthing the Hilichurls back...

I think the chemistry part is obvious, as an alchemist he would find this kind of thing fascinating. Obviously he would enjoy the rigor and fast paced layout of the class. CB requires 16 labs to be done throughout the year in ap chem and he would adore this as well. Definitely thinking he’s pulling an A in this class, actually an A+

Albedo’s an artist and a curious individual. I imagine he would find himself interested in the history of art and the different pieces. As a chemist he is always chasing after whys and hows; it only makes sense for him to look for this in art as well. He would also pull a high A I feel in this class due to his commitment to his studies

human geography

Amber isn’t much of an academic, but she appreciates geography I imagine. As an outrider who is exploring and navigating, she would find the history of places and maps fascinating. Amber also, or at least I seem to think, would have a hard time taking an intense ap class. This one is one of the easiest out of the ones CB offers. I think Amber would get an A in this class and I am firm believer that she unfortunately is the one who reminds the teacher when homework is due :/

macroeconomics, microeconomics, and statistics

Macroeconomics covers the economic of wider areas like regions and nations. Diluc being someone who has a business that is known worldwide would I feel find value in knowing about the economics of not only his country but others as well.

Microeconomics is more focused on the economics of an individual thing like companies. This is a class that would give the insight on the business side of economics.

Business requires a lot of data. Most of the time when analyzing data statistics is involved. Diluc would use statistics I feel to see what kinds of wine tend to sell on what regions and what happens when prices increase and decrease.

Diluc I see passing all of these classes, I think the economic ones with an A and stats with a high B.

comparative government and politics and psychology

Government and politics I feel is self explanatory because of how Jean pretty much runs Mondstadt. She has to contact diplomats from all nations and make negotiations. I think she would also find it kind of interesting about different types of government and how things are ran.

Jean would have to on some level be a people person. To some degree she would have to know how people think and feel. She would find the makeup of the human brain fascinating I think.

Obviously she would take chem with Albedo. I think it would take her a bit longer to grasp some of the concepts and Albedo might have to help her out some but she does overall well in the class, I say an A-

She flies through biology without a problem due to her interest in life forms. Is definitely earning an A+

OKAY HEAR ME OUT! So Sucrose wants to study how to manipulate life to make it better and brighter. I think she would be all over the idea of being a bioengineer. Thus, she would learn how to code.

Sucrose would do well in the comp sci a course I believe. I could see her being a really good problem solver and understanding Java well (the programming language you learn in comp sci a)

music theory

Don’t come for my throat, I love Venti I swear. However, I do not think he would preform well in this class. Music theory isn’t really so much about composing music as it is about the rules of composing music. I think Venti would do wonderfully with dictation (where you hear notes/chords and have to identify and write them). As well as sight singing (where you are given a sheet of music and have a certain amount of time to practice and sing it).

We all know Venti is great at composing music…but he doesn’t really like playing by the rules (aka all the figured bass line shit), so I don’t think he’d do so good. Venti can read sheet music sure but he didn’t take the time to memorize all the special symbols when he just knows music.

I’m going to be generous and give him a C considering he can do the dictation and sight singing. Anything where he’s having to analyze and determine cadences or other conceptual stuff he’s kind of screwed

The first time you got sick he didn't know what to do and was really panicked. With him also never getting sick he tries his best to help you

Rolls you up into a blanket while ignoring your protests. Carefully makes you hot soup to help with your sore throat. Will also force you to lie in bed the entire time while you are sick.

He might seem a little over protective but he just wants to make sure you will experience no harm

Never really cares about getting sick and plays down all her symptoms when she is but lord if you are sick her whole world breaks down

Will not leave you alone for a minute and cancels all her plans to make sure you're okay

You end up having to lay on her in bed so she can't get up to get more stuff to take care of you

Whenever your temperature rises slightly she gets worried sick and puts a cool rag on your head

The whole time while you are sick Jean has to constantly make sure she isn't overworking herself

She really just wants to make sure you're completely okay

Probably one of the calmest out of all

Will pick you up bridal style whenever you have to go somewhere

Always makes sure you have something to drink beside you and whatever you request it shall be yours. Tea? Of course. Warm milk? On the way. Him holding you? Definitely

Surprisingly good cook. Will make you a hot soup with noodles and chicken.

Whenever you feel to warm he will make sure to have a cold rag close by for you and if you feel to cold he will warm you up.

Also makes sure to get medicine from sucrose

At first when she sees your weak state immediately asks who did this to you and who she has to murder

When you tell her you're just ill she is a bit more relieved but still is angry that she can't fight bacteria and viruses.

Her body temperature is naturally cold so if your fever is ever to strong she will hold you.

If anyone even dares to try disturbing you while you are resting it's on sight

Really tries her best allthough she has really no clue what to do

She makes surprisingly good tea though and has lots of different teas

If you were honest with yourself, you were running out of good reasons to be constantly visiting the bar, and you were also running out of excuses. But the Angel's Share was someplace where you felt comfortable and at home, despite not being anywhere near home.

And also, Diluc was another reason.

Diluc had given you the impression of being a cold, stony man, but as you spent more time in his bar, you got to know him a little better. He was warm, kind in his own ways, and while he was serious and solemn, he had his moments of quiet joys.

But the thought of him possibly having a lover stung just a bit. Of course, you had no claim to him, you were just a friend. But a part of you would like a little more.

You shook the thoughts out of your mind as you pushed open the door to the bar, catching the eyes of Charles.

"You're early, he hasn't come in yet," the man offered as he wiped out a glass.

"Oh, I know. I just thought I would come in first and give him a little gift, is all."

Charles nodded and returned his focus to his task. You picked a table in the meantime, and set down the covered basket you'd been carrying through the city with you. You'd spent a few days collecting items to put into this gift, because with this gift came some unfortunate news.

News that you didn't have time to dweel on, as Diluc came in the backdoor, putting his hair up in the high ponytail you liked so much. He caught sight of you, hairtie in his teeth, and waved with a barely free hand and a small smile.

You watched as he quickly took over for Charles, and manned the bar with ease. You went up to the counter to order a small glass of juice, then returned to your seat as business picked up.

Finally, the flow of traffic settled, and Diluc slipped put from behind the counter to make his way towards you. You gently pushed the basket towards him, and he picked it up gently.

"What's this?"

You fidgeted with your top. "A goodbye gift. I have to go back to the Akademiya in a few days, as my classes start again soon." You sighed, and smiled up at Diluc sadly. "I really enjoyed my time here, and meeting you was a wonderful thing. I really enjoy your company."

"Oh." Diluc sounded.... far more upset than you had been expecting. He gently set the basket down, then tapped your hand gently, a shiver quickly running through you at the touch. "Will you... follow me outside, please?"

You nodded, and let him guide you out of the tavern, through the back door. You expected him to drop your hand there, but he surprised you by taking both your hands gently in his own.

"I know I cannot stop you from leaving. But please. Keep yourself safe. For me." Something else lingered on the edge of his voice. An emotion you couldn't name, but that your soul recognized. Something sweet, melancholy, and tinted by the sound of "goodbye".

Something clicked in your head and you pulled his hands closer to you. "Of course. Protect yourself, as well? For me?"

Diluc nodded. "As you wish." He then embraced you, and after a moment, you returned the embrace. The two of you stood there for a few minutes, just like that.

Sometimes "I love you" hides unspoken in different words, or in small actions. Especially when danger hangs around. But you both knew what the other meant.

Klee and Jean story quests complete on the alt. 

(I’m on a quest to finally reach AR50, which is why I’m going through the more inoffensive story quests.) 

Klee’s is very short and simple, without too much to it. The only things I’ll note are 1) playing hers after Razor and Albedo is a bit cute because you finally see this mentioned child, 2) she has dialogue mentioning Kaeya, Razor and “Albedo-niichan” which is also cute, 3) we still haven’t gotten Ludi Harpastum!! and 4) it’s a bit creepy that she literally kills someone. Yes, it’s an abyss mage, but this is an actual thing that could have happened to a human being, and besides that, that’s still a living being. Alice’s childrearing, man...

Jean’s is not that much longer, but it’s interesting a few ways. 

It has a lot of presence from other playable characters. Generally, we get maybe one other playable character participating in someone else’s story quest, if that, but here we have Venti, Amber, Kaeya and Lisa appearing multiple times in the game world, as well as Barbara and Diluc. It’s quite cute. 

There’s also a really weird style of camera usage here that I don’t recall seeing anywhere else. There’s several scenes where the camera focuses on one angle and then pans in a very specific way... I wonder what happened there. 

That aside, they reuse the map from Klee’s quest with only very minor changes (Klee had lasers that were just high enough that she could under them, Jean has flamethrowers). I don’t have any particular feelings about that, it’s just noticeable if you do them back to back on the same day lol 

In regard to the story, I remember some discussion about Jean’s working habits, which are indeed bad, but it’s worth noting that Sara wanting to ask her to dispatch someone to deal with hilichurls blocking deliveries isn’t odd and Charles explains that she’s involved in their tax reports because the Dawn Winery is so important to the economy. It’s just Margaret who is unreasonable, and that might be more about Margaret than Jean. Ultimately, we don’t know if Jean would have really personally gone looking for a cat (unlikely, imo). 

Jean also mentions that she is more “Dandelion Knight” than “Lionfang Knight,” which is fine normally, but given Genshin’s pattern of refusing to engage in any potential conflict with characters, it’s a disappointing hint that we might never see Jean step up and be the cool Grand Master boss she could be.

Diluc

Despite growing up in an all male household, I'm pretty sure Adeline and the other maids force fed him all he needed to know about how to treat a lady right on her period.

Not to be stereotypical, but he knows better than to be a spoiled brat around his childhood nannies when they were on their red weeks. That would've earned him an ear pinch and Crepus would've sided with the maids as well.

At least their efforts paid in full. Now they have the perfect gentleman and ideal bachelor for a master, except that he's a little antisocial...

Luckily, he somehow got you! Now he's in the early stages of your relationship and you're experiencing a particularly terrible period day.

We all know he's a walking heater. Just grab his big hand and place it over your abdomen! Voila! A heating pad.

It would be cute if you do it randomly too, like out in the day or in the tavern when your cramps hit and you just need a hot compress. He'll get a little flustered and confused until he realizes 'oh. i should activate my pyro.'

"Can I... take my hand back now? I have a bartending shift..."

"No."

Overall, man is happy to be a pyro allogene if it proves to be useful for you. Pyro can be so destructive, but for you to seek its comfort is so <3

On the occasion that he is clueless, though, he'd rush to Adeline for some advice, only to be crowded around by maids bombarding him with information on how to treat you.

Just imagine Diluc sitting in the kitchen surrounded by young maids and he's trying to mentally list everything but archons, they're lowkey intimidating him like a kid cornered by bullies — what are pad sizes and how is he supposed to know whether you need cold food or hot food?

Couldn't decide on a chocolate you like so he buys off two of every flavor.

Same goes with every other craving you have. If you so look at something, he buys it to appease you.

Kaeya

Like Diluc, he grew up being taught by the maids but as an adult, he has a more hands-on experience with people on their red days.

Most of his acquaintances in the knights order are women after all; Jean, Lisa, Amber, Eula... He's learned to help them through their bad days, even filling in their roles when the cramps get too much!

Despite that, I think his most reliable rule when dealing with periods would be to let you rest. Maybe because it's what he tells the knights under him whenever they ask to be excused.

"Oh? Dysmenorrhea? Head to the infirmary for some rest, you're excused for the day."

He'll buy you take out after a long day though! It'll be your favorite too.

He also likes slipping in bed to cuddle, hands gentle massaging any sore muscles with a gentle cool temperature.

If you're experiencing mood swings, he's the type to go along with you.

Oh? You're crying because... the cake he brought you is too cute? Alright... Kaeya understands. He nods along and agrees with you.

Childe

To my knowledge, he's the middle child with two sisters so he definitely knows what he's doing. Although he isn't home as often, his mama taught him well!

Like Kaeya, he probably also has his fair share of agents excusing themselves over their period or cramps.

Unlike Kaeya though, he doesn't rely on "go and rest" as the ultimatum. Childe treats you more like a child on your period, coddling uou and making sure you can handle yourself.

You have to reassure him that you're not exactly a sick kid 🤨 like... you can feed yourself. it's fine.

Probably tries to entertain you, "You can play with this toy while waiting for dinner. Or would you like to read a book instead?"

"Childe... I'm on my period, not regressing."

Childe would be the type to cook a great meal from scratch, most of it being sick people food like chicken soup (again, treating you like a little sibling).

Just allow yourself to be coddled like a child, being a big brother figure is his expertise I guess.

Zhongli

Honestly one of the best in dealing with you on your period. From your mood swings to your cramps, he's got it all covered.

Uses his excellent memory to predict your next period better than you can. Sometimes, you get surprised he's showing up with chocolates or a hot meal not knowing it's almost your period already.

Knows all the best tea and can personally make dysmenorrhea medicine from scratch. He has this little herb garden for you too!

He's amazing but modern period practices are kind of lost on him. Please, Liyue has come so far when it comes to personal care, back then, people used clean rags.

There are pad sizes and weights now? Cottony soft? Wings? Dry pads? Disposables? He's a little worried and tries to choose the safest option to his best knowledge.

Probably asks the store clerk or a nearby lady just to be sure he's got the right one for you.

Period shopping isn't his forte, but once he's got the grasp of it, expect him to show up every start of your period with everything you need! (paid by someone else, of course)

He has the tendency to treat you like a sick child as well. Maybe because of how fragile and weak mortals seem to him.

Thoma

He's an amazing housekeeper and caretaker, but he probably doesn't have a lot of personal experience dealing with periods.

I can imagine him learning to deal with Ayaka's red days first. There are usually maids for that, but sometimes the responsibility falls on him as a dear friend!

Back then, Thoma wasn't as aware but when people started welcoming him more as a foreigner, I can definitely see the other houseworkers talking kitchen gossip with him about their periods. He's just so polite and understanding about the topic, their gossip turns to advice giving when he genuinely asks for tips!

Like Diluc, he's your portable hot compress. Just grab his hand on a particularly bad day to feel warmth!

Also like Diluc, he gets crowded by the housewives and young maids telling him everything he needs to know if he ever asks for help.

Rather than caring for you though, I think he just continues to act like a house maid.

Especially if he's in your house; he'll cook and clean for you even though you're reminding him that it's just a bad cramp day.

Thoma cooks for you. I think this one's obvious.

Amber’s heart flutters whenever you suddenly interlock your hands with her to drag her to the cafeteria, she doesn’t mind it, but when you do it so suddenly she might just die! Don’t you realize how red she gets when you do this to her? Yeah, that’s probably the exact reason you do it.

“Amber, why are you so red all of a sudden, do you have a fever?”— “What? Oh, this? Just, a bit warm, yeah. Just very warm in this place.”

Lisa can’t help but stare at your lips when both of you go study in your university’s library. You seem to pout whenever you don’t understand something, and whenever you are very into a story you also bite your lips in anticipation of the next chapter. Because of this she’s constantly thinking about your lips, and about what would feel like to kiss you.

It’s hard for Jean to concentrate on her thesis essay if you lean so close to her like that. Why was it suddenly hot? Did the librarian turn down the AC? Why were her cheeks starting to flush? Oh my god was she overworking again? Lucky—not so lucky—for Jean, there was nothing wrong with her, she was just, uh, distracted by a certain someone who seemed to innocently lean so close to her face to read what she was typing.
