OMG OMG COLD NIGHT OR STEALING WORDS OF THE MOON WITH ROSARIA AAH (i love the genshin music im so excited for this)

On some nights, should they listen hard enough, one can hear the moon whisper. 

It tells tales of betrayal, of heartbreak, of knives driven into each other’s backs; all of the little cherished, dark secrets people don’t dare let into the light. Cock your ear one way, and in the rustle of grass you hear the sound promises make as they shatter. 

Slipping through velvet shadows under the cover of night, Rosaria knows all it says. She has known, for a long time. She knows which murmur of crickets is loud enough to hide a man’s last breath; she knows what should and should not be done when the moon is full or a sliver in the sky. She knows the words threaded through the darkness, and she uses them, so that when she’s gone nobody knows who left that knife in that neck or drew that fine line of red across that throat.

Sometimes, at least, this is how she uses what the moon tells her. 

But other times, when the words are comforting ones and the sky so silver that she can see it like day, when she can be sure she is alone, Rosaria doesn’t steal those moments in which a blade can be dragged across skin without witness. Instead, she looks up to the moon, at all its dark brightness and whispers which aren’t there, and listens. Without hate, without fear, without the cold and the thorns. 

In moments like these, Rosaria remembers why she became a child of moonlight, not the sun, even after it was offered to her, and she finds herself grateful. Whether anybody exists to answer her thanks is a matter which doesn’t concern her: there is the moon, and that is all she needs.

the rules are as follows:

choose one genshin ost and send me its title (ideally, the more interpretable, the better.) here’s a good playlist if you need to find the title of a soundtrack.

i’ll write a short drabble based on the title, as well as trying to capture the mood of the soundtrack itself.

you can either specify which character you’d like it written for — this being a choice of xiao, heizou, or albedo if you want a chance of it being x reader, or any other characters (ideally lore-heavier ones) which will be more character-focused* — or you can give me the creative freedom to interpret the character from the track as i please.

the nation the soundtrack is from doesn’t have to correspond with the character.

*do note that depending on how i’m inspired by the soundtrack and title, i might not make the drabble specifically x reader, and potentially just about the character themselves—and this applies to the three character specified above, too (but if i do write any x reader, it’ll be with them).

Travelers who have reached Adventure Rank 10 or above can participate in this event.

*The data for the "Dream of Roving Stars" event will be collected up to September 25, 2023 00:00 (UTC+8) (there may be a margin of error of about 30 minutes) and is valid only for Travelers who have reached Adventure Rank 10 or above before the cut-off time.

〓Event Description〓

During the event, click to enter different data sections and view your travel memories. Finish viewing them to obtain Primogems and other in-game rewards.

You can also share the event and collect different blessings to obtain in-game rewards.

〓Share Memories〓

After viewing all data sections, you can enter the Annual Report to customize and edit your own travel memories. After editing, you can generate your own travel memory card.

You can share your own travel memories with others via a link/image. You can also invite your friends to share data by sharing the link with them. Upon the first successful share, you will receive Primogems and other in-game rewards.

〓Sharing and Collecting Blessings〓

After viewing all data sections, you will be able to click the "Share Blessings" button in the top-right corner of the event homepage to enter the Blessing Collection page.

You can share blessings with your friends via a link. You can also collect different blessings and obtain rewards by clicking on links from friends.

*Blessings from each shared link can be claimed up to 20 times.

Travelers can claim corresponding rewards by viewing different data sections in full. You can obtain a total of Primogems ×180 and Hero's Wit ×12.

-REWARDS FOR COLLECTING BLESSINGS-

Collect all 5 different types of blessings to obtain corresponding blessing rewards as well as a reward for collecting all the blessings.

You can obtain a total of Mora ×70,000, Mystic Enhancement Ore ×4, as well as various materials and dishes from Teyvat.

-SHARING REWARDS-

You can claim corresponding rewards by sharing your customized data, as well as by sharing data with other Travelers. You can obtain a total of Mora ×40,000.

*The in-game rewards will be distributed via in-game mail. The mail will expire after 30 days, so don't forget to claim the rewards in time.
