★ when assigned an extremely harsh mission, you find an orphaned child barely a year old within all the rumble. you soon found out her family was recently killed in the destruction. unsure of what would happen to her after this, you decided to take her as your own.

★ scared of any judgment, you didn’t tell anyone about her so only a few higher-ups were aware. luckily you were allowed to live off campus so you two could have more space and privacy.

★ however the physical effects of raising a kid all on your own at such a young age were certainly showing. you came to school visibly worn down, often falling asleep in the middle of class and taking more absences than usual.

★ the first people to notice, of course, were gojo and geto. as nosy as they were, they tried not to push it, knowing you had just come back from a really taxing mission. though they did get more and more suspicious whenever you didn’t let them visit your new place.

★ however one day, they did spot you out in public wearing a baby carrier with, of course, a baby they’d never seen before resting right inside. they immediately came up to you and bombarded you with multiple questions before you got them to chill out and explained everything.

★ wanting you to take some time off (and win you over), they offer to take care of her regularly. who were you to refuse? after all, it is free babysitting and you were already using up so much money hiring actual babysitters.

★ during their first babysitting job, you thanked them profusely before going back into your room and instantly falling asleep the moment your body hit your bed, taking a very well-deserved nap.

★ you see, gojo was already pretty hesitant about you having a kid around. this was before he took in megumi so he found basically any child gross and annoying. (though he’s somehow even more attracted to you now that you’re a dad.)

★ coughs dilf lover gojo i mean what?

★ so when gojo picked up your baby for the first time, she immediately cried when they made eye contact and he got so so personally offended that he started rethinking this whole babysitting thing.

★ the first thirty minutes or so of taking care of your kid went pretty okay. that was until she started crying again and neither of them knew why.

★ you see, these idiots have no idea how to care for a child.

★ they frantically tried to calm her down and figure out what was wrong without needing to wake you. they checked if she was hurt in any way, she definitely wasn’t hungry since they already fed her, nor did she need to be changed. gojo even called shoko to see if she could do anything.

★ when they eventually saw her crawling towards your room and sobbing right outside your door, hesitantly let her in to see her climb onto your bed and lay down with you, realizing she just missed you the whole time. that entire experience made them so exhausted that they almost climbed into bed with you. but when they saw the gratitude on your face after you woke up, it made it all worth it.

★ luckily the next few times they watched over her, babysitting got more and more easy as she grew used to them.

★ they start coming over so often to look after her that your place basically becomes their second home.

★ geto is in charge of doing her hair since the last time gojo attempted it, it was just a big mess of hair ties and ribbons. geto’s definitely not complaining since he loves to get her ready. in fact, geto does a lot of the responsible stuff when taking care of her since gojo, hmm what’s a nice way to put it, lacks a lot of the necessary skills.

★ oh yeah, remember what i said about gojo hating younger children? yeah, that completely changes as he spends more time with your daughter. he’s almost always playing with her or showing up with a brand new toy or stuffed animal just for her. he ends up loving her so so much and wants to be her cool fun dad.

★ unfortunately both of them are way too nice when it comes to disciplining her. they let her get away with so much. late bedtimes, too much tv, grabbing any treats she wants off the grocery store shelves. how can they not spoil such an adorable little girl like her!?

★ what’s also unfortunate is how they try to drag you into it.

“come on, y/n. let loose a little. cake for dinner does sound pretty appetizing right now.”

“come on. just let her watch ten more minutes before bed.” gojo lazed on the couch with her on his lap. “besides this cartoon is starting to get good.”

“come onnn… just let her buy it.” geto held up a sparkly pink dress you already told him she doesn’t need with his own sparkles in his eyes. “she’ll look so cute in it. i promise i’ll pay you back.”

★ their hearts explode whenever you’re affectionate with her. they love the way you gently rock her in your arms while humming a sweet lullaby, slowly lulling her to sleep. the way they see you kiss her forehead after placing her into the crib before quickly turning around and acting like they weren’t staring the whole time. they fall head over heels for you for probably the twentieth time by now since they met you but those times were definitely the hardest.

★ they’ve been in her life for a good while so when she begins talking more frequently, she starts calling them her papas as she does with you. gojo aka former “ugh kids are so gross and icky” feels his heart combusting whenever she calls him that and he owns that title proudly. meanwhile geto feels so endeared and honored that she sees him that way.

★ “we’re not the stepdads. we’re the dads that stepped up!” looking asses.💀

★ the secret of you having a kid doesn’t last for long since these two can’t keep quiet about it. they’re just way too happy and want to show her off. especially gojo who scrolls through 100s of photos of her while gushing about her to basically anyone who’ll listen. shoko and nanami are the most common targets whenever this happens.

★ he even ends up showing photos of you and your daughter napping together (that you had no idea he took), making you snatch his phone away in embarrassment.

★ whenever you guys go out on family dates to go to the beach or picnicking, geto always takes the time to dress her up with pretty hairstyles and cute little outfits. he absolutely loves doting on her.

★ they love her with all their hearts and would do absolutely anything for her. she’s so lucky to have three weird dads take care of her and raise her. a very odd and… unconventional family dynamic but an amazing one nonetheless. this family only grows bigger and bigger once gojo takes in megumi and geto practically adopts mimiko and nanako.

and like another post i saw this morning was about luna/barty having an interesting dynamic and the comments were like “oh its becuz he was besties with her uncle evan rosier” and i get thats the fanon but when somebody replies and asks if this is true in the books pls dont say “oh yes lunas mum was a rosier who loved barty jr and thats why he cared for luna”

(and i didnt read atyd at first when it got big becuz of how they made remus be in an orphanage when i loved the idea of him having super loving but guilty parents esp cos his dad was an anti-wolf activist but him growing to love wolves but feeling ashamed for how his bigotry resulted in his son’s issue would be SO interesting….. and then it goes even more canon-divergent with the personality lobotomy of remus and then i gave up on both it AND the fandom becuz then everything kinda replicated it with the changing characterisation of the marauders 😭😭)

ALSO ALSO like the whole hatred of dumbledore goes way too far sometimes and it lowkey just takes me back to how pissed the aot, fmab and mha fandom would make characters like grisha jaeger, hohenheim and all might…. like they do have their issues but they aren’t some abusive assholes and i get making ooc fanfics cos do whatever but the sheer amount of fics making them that would kill me. and like grindeldore angst and the tragicness of dumbledores plot is so interesting to me

ok i think i almost went insane trying to answer this question but i was also hoping that someone would ask bc i could yap about this forever!!

my list (also w specific fic recs) in no particular order:

@tinytennisskirt 's fics are some of the first i read in this fandom, and omg they're all just too good. i got into their fics back when i was an art girlie (and before i even started actually posting on here) and omg cottage culture changed my brain chemistry. and also same with kiss me. and then for patrick fics those three words is also just so so good.

@egcdeath i originally knew from reading their fics on ao3 before i even started this account (i'm new to being in tumbler fandoms but a very longtime ao3 user). she isn't active anymore but it would feel wrong to not mention them in this post. their fic off the beaten path. i read it on ao3 so long ago but i must admit that somehow it still lives in my mind rent free... like genuinely there are specific scenes that i still replay in my head at night when im trying to fall asleep.

@fruitjoos also needed to be on this list!! their fic serving up suds is one of my favs, it's so cute and so fun and also just so well written. also her fic homesick is new, but i've already found myself revisiting it multiple times for comfort. im always on the edge of my seat to see what she's gonna post next, because i already know that it's gonna be so good.

@grimsonandclover is an amazing mutual of mine now, but i also knew originally from ao3, and read their fics long before i ever talked to them (i don't think i've ever told them that though oops). they wrote the fic you & i as a gift for me and the kindness of them doing that still sticks with me, and also that fic is just amazing.

@diyasgarden 's prose in her writing is genuinely unmatched. she has a way of understanding characters so deeply. and this is very clear in her writing - she is able to write these characters in such an honest way that it's heart-shattering and beautiful, with language that's so so gorgeous. this isn't even a full fic, but her work about patrick tht was based off of anything by adrianne lenker actually made me sit for a second and process bc it was just so good. i have to mention she also has amazing taste in literature (which makes a lot of sense based on her writing), i will forever treasure our 2-person oomf book club.

@amymbona was also one of the first people who i followed on here, before i even started posting, and her stories are so good. both her AUs and blurbs are so good, and going through her masterlist is like discovering a box of treasures. i still revisit the list, finding new things to read and scenarios to imagine, and my sadness and boredom is instantly cured.

OKKKKKKK that's the list!! sorry that this list is so long and specific, but im a yapper at heart and i needed to speak!! i basically ended up writing this instead of my history essay that i was going to write... but writing this was just too necessary. also if any of these writers read this, sorry if this is weird 😭😭

Just came up with a stobotnik au idea.

Somehow, while still in hideing, stone and robotnik accidently have kids, and now have to learn how to be responsible parents, while hiding and being on the run from the government. Trying to give their kids as much as a normal life as they can (well, normal by their standards which isnt very normal at all,) to varrying degrees of sucsess.

It would be fun to seeing how the kids grow up in a situation like this and discovering that this is infact, not normal. Because i dont think ivo, nor stone would tell them that their parents are wanted criminals.

Like, how would they make freinds? Would they be able to make freinds? And if so, how would robotnik and stone react to them makeing freinds? How would their schooling be handled? How would they feel about moveing all the time? Would they be confused why everyone their age lives in a house, while they live in a giant crab robot? Would they even be allowed to meet new people? And if not, would stone and robotnik eventually cave and let them socialize a bit? Would either of them grow to resent the two?

It also gets more fun when you concider stone and robotniks reaction in realizing: "oh fuck, we're dads now." How would they parent? Would it be good or bad? Would either one grow to resent their kids and pretend they dont exist, or would they try their best for them? How would they house two children in the crab? How would they feed them? How would they clothe them? In trying to steal stiff for them, would they almost get caught by the government? How many close calls have they had trying to care for them? Would they concidering abandoning them? Would they try to abandon them? Or would they accept their new position?

Honestly, it could go a lot of ways. Though if i were to write a fic about it, i'd probobly hone in on robotniks perspective a bit more than stones, since it be neat to see him react to this. I mean he's a terrible person yeah, and i dont think he'd do the best job in raising them, but he's also an orphan. Family has always been a soft spot from his lack of one, and now he's suddenly been thrust into a role he never expected nor wanted to be in.: being a father goes completly against the image he has of himself.

And thats not even mentioning his past trauma with being abandoned, and neglected. I think its quite possible, that in the heat of the moment, (while they're still babies,) he decides he just cant and tries to get rid of them. Chooseing to just hand them off to an orphanage and just be done with it... but, when he really thinks about it, mulls the plan over, he just... he just cant. He's been in an orphanage before, he's been left by his supposed to be caretakers before, and he just... cant bring himself to do it. Thinking about all the hurt he went through in the orphanage, by his supposed "guardians," he just cant subject them to that. Maybe the final nail in the coffin that gets him to turn around and walk home, is them wakeing up. Wakeing up to giggle at him, make grabby hands twards him, to be delighted by his presence. A reaction that nobody but stone has twards him.

Im thinking that stone eventually finds him while he's on his way back (because lets be honest, he would not think to tell stone he's giving them away, he's very bad at communication,) of course the agents freaked out by them suddenly going missing, but calms down a bit once he see's they're safe.

Robotnik would NOT tell stone about the moment he had. he hates talking about his feelings, and talking about what he just tried to do would deffinetly prompt that. So, instead, he makes up some excuse that seems to satisfy stone.

stone would find out later down the line, when the kids have grown up a lot more. Giving some juicy family angst when they seemed to have more firmly settled in their roles. (Also because i like the twist of: "hey! Remember this thing you never thought was going to come back? Well its back!" And to also give robotnik some consequences to his actions.)

Im also thinking that how the kids find out that their parents are criminals, (they never found out because the government covered everything up,) is that when their adults, one of the kids brings home a signifigent other who also happens to be a G.U.N agent! Which robotnik and stone promptly flips out over to varying degrees.

Btw, little side note that i probobly should have brought up earlier, is that the kids are twins. Just for funsies.

Hi! Do not apologize!! Every fic writer hopes and dreams that ppl will get excited about their fic 😭 and I completely agree - we need more charlos dads. They are literally so married and charles wants a kid so badly...

Anyway yes! You can have a snippet of the Giver AU - i've shared a bit of it before, but essentially, the premise is that society requires everyone to take suppressants to dull their emotions, eliminating pain/conflict/anger/fear etc., but also eliminating passion/love/joy in the process...

I'm thinking of doing a major rewrite of this actually...so honestly what you read here might look very different by the time I post it but 🤷🏻‍♀️

“Hola, teammate.” It’s accompanied by a grin and a nudge to his arm. Charles raises an eyebrow.

“Hello, again.”

They’d seen each other not forty-five minutes ago, but Carlos seems to insist on greeting everyone like it’s the first time that day no matter how long ago they parted ways. He also keeps calling Charles, ‘teammate,’ like he thinks anyone needs to be reminded of this. 

“What are we doing now?” Carlos asks, rubbing his hands together like he’s impatient to get started. 

Charles doesn’t know why he would be - they’ve been doing promotional obligations all day, and his head is starting to hurt from all the bright lights. It’s all videos and photoshoots for their sponsors and social media accounts. Tomorrow will be the more important agenda - seat and race suit fittings are the first things on the schedule.

“A video for the fans, I think,” Charles says, in answer. “Where we ask each other questions.”

“Ah, so I can discover all of your secrets.” Carlos lifts his brows up and down in a way that Charles isn’t sure he’s ever seen someone do. 

He knows it’s a joke - one of Carlos’ strange ones, where he doesn’t really mean what he says. But Charles still finds himself wanting to protest the remark.

“I don’t have secrets.” Why would he? He has nothing to hide. Carlos rolls his eyes.

“Okay,” is all he says.

Charles has the sense he’s disappointed him somehow. Not that it really matters, but he’s still trying to figure out his new teammate. He wants them to get along, since they’ll be seeing a lot of one another. So far, he feels like Carlos is perpetually amused by him for reasons that Charles can’t determine.

“The questions are prepared,” Charles adds. “They wouldn’t have us ask whatever we wanted.” This seems obvious to him, but maybe Carlos isn’t yet accustomed to how structured things are at Ferrari. 

Practically their every movement is planned by some coordinator on the team - the only time it can’t be is in the car, when the drivers themselves hold the steering wheel. And even then, the team tries to control everything with strategy and radio communications during the race.

Carlos gives him a searching look, which Charles attempts not to shy away from. He isn’t shy, anyway. Poor choice of words.

“Do you ever... Mm- how do you say it?” Carlos takes a second to himself, mulling over whatever it is that he’s trying to ask. “Do you ever go against the script?”

“The script?” Charles frowns.

“The rules. The path. The plan.” Carlos studies him, as he processes the words, like Charles is a bug in a jar. It’s not a sensation he particularly...enjoys, though he can’t pinpoint why. 

“I’m not...” He swallows, unsure of himself. “I don’t-”

“Boys!” someone is saying from across the room, gesturing them over. 

There’s a beat of silence between them, and then Carlos is saying, “Never mind, mate,” patting Charles on the shoulder. 

He walks away then, and Charles is left with a strange hollowness in his chest, like he’s failed at something - like when he’s driven badly or made a mistake on track. But he hadn’t done anything like that. He’d just been talking to his teammate...

He takes a deep breath, then moves to join Carlos across the room.

Two months had passed since Jisung and Hyunjin's lives had changed drastically. At first, things were good for both of them but some part where still a bit complicated thats why, they decided to avoid each other. It hadn't been an easy decision, but it was their choice and there was a reason for it. Jisung had found pleasure in spending time in this new body and making friends, while Hyunjin had enjoyed the rest and finally not having so much responsibility on his shoulders. Jisung and Hyunjin at first they were spending more time together, until they eventually drifted apart too busy enjoying the adrenalin of this new life they had been given. What they hadn't noticed was that, as time went by, things had really changed around them and their lives were becoming each other's in every detail. Jisung had started to take on Hyunjin's responsibilities from his parents: to do well in school, to work, to make a good impression in public, to look perfect and to be perfect no matter what. While Hyunjin, for his part, had become increasingly withdrawn and felt better at home, he had also begun to suffer the teasing of other people, but since Hyunjin was enjoying Jisung life very much it was not his problem and he decided to keep living as he wants. And he even makes friends at uni, people who really understood him and didn't judge him on his looks, and just appreciated him for who he was. Yet neither of them really wanted to go back to their old lives, and that was the source of all their problems, because they were afraid that if they hung out together, their old lives would come back, so they started avoiding each other. Hyunjin had also discovered the pleasure of eating to his heart's content, and of no longer having to restrain himself, so his body had recently put on even more weight. In fact, Hyunjin's belly was much bigger than what Jisung used to be, his cheeks much chubbier, and everyone could see that he didn'tcare about what the other say about his body; on the contrary, he even seemed to enjoy eating over and over again and feeling happy. And when Jisung was seeing Hyunjin’s new body, all he could think was that going back to his old life was really not what he wants, and that he'd even do better to forget what his past had been.

That morning, Jisung had finished getting ready and was eating breakfast when he heard noises in Changbin's room. His life had changed, and it seemed to be the same for those around him, starting with Changbin. See, his former obese and solitary roommate had become a muscle men in a relationship with the cutest boy he'd ever met in his life. Jisung was somehow happy for Changbin, but he knew that Hyunjin's best friend had to have Changbin's life and wondered if it was all worth it, and especially why it had started in the first place. From his point of view, everyone seemed happier, or rather more accustomed to this new reality. He was brought out of his thoughts by the sound of someone knocking on his door. He frowned and walked over to this one, and when he opened the door he suddenly see Minho standing in front of him, he didn’t understand why he was here and tried to close the door, but Minho held him back.

"What the hell is happening ? I need answer ! » then say Minho looking very angry.

"What dare you doing here, whats your problem ? »

"Where's Hyunjin?" suddenly asked Minho which surprised Jisung, why would Minho go looking for Hyunjin?

"I don't know, go away ! »

"It's not normal what's happening...I don't understand..." said Minho, putting his hands to his face in panic. Jisung felt his heartbeat quicken and his stress rise, what was happening? At the same moment, he saw Hyunjin running towards the apartment, or rather trying to run because of his weight. There was definitely a problem, Jisung thought.

"Jisung, we've got a problem!" said Hyunjin.

Without really wanting to, Jisung then let them go inside to talk privately. Jisung then crossed his arms and looked at the two men in front of him.

« You need to explain me whats happening ? » he asked.

"I didn't come here to make small talk, I just want to understand what the hell's going on!" said Minho.

"What are you doing here in the first place?" asked Hyunjin.

« You should be answering my questions, how could you gain so much weight so fast and Jisung loosing so much ? And why do I remember going out with you when I could never stand you!" Hyunjin then frowned and looked at Jisung, who also looked panicked. « There is so much things in my head right now ! Why do I remember everything about dating Hyunjin and at the same time you ? »

"I...don't understand..." said Jisung, trying not to panic.

"Strange things are happening Jisung…This morning I woke up and Chan...he was back to his old self..."

"What ? How's that possible?" asked Jisung, stepping towards Hyunjin.

"What are you talking about?" asked Minho.

At that moment Changbin came out of his room, rubbing his eyes. He was wearing a t-shirt that was far too small for him, and his belly was sticking out from underneath it, his thighs were rubbing together and, in addition to his morning face, you could clearly see that his cheeks were puffy and his neck was covered with a double chin. This time, Jisung really started to panic. Were things going back to the way they used to be? Jisung then approached Changbin.

"Binnie where's Felix?" he asked then and Changbin frowned as he sat down on the chair in the kitchen to eat his breakfast.

"Who's Felix?" Jisung sighed and put his hand to his face. Hyuniin, for his part, was also afraid of what was going on, especially with Minho at his side, who seemed to be holding back his anger, which could explode at any moment.

"I don't understand your problem ! Why anyone is explaining what's going on?"

"Minho, this isn't really the good moment… » said Hyuniin shyly, and Minho moved closer to him before tackling him against the wall.

"You've got to be kidding me, right?" Minho asked angrily and Jisung arrived to separate them.

"What the hell is going on ? And why are you here in the first place ? Everything was just so perfect ! Why do you have to ruin everything?" he said, turning to Hyunjin with tears in his eyes. Hyunjin was surprised and look at Jisung confused.

"w..what?" said Hyunjin by Jisung's sudden anger towards him.

"Why did you have to come ? Why should I get my shitty life back ? Why does everything always work out for you and not for me ? And why does Minho remember, huh ? We said we wouldn't see each other again, and look what you've done by coming here !" said Jisung in anger.

"Calm down first! I don't understand your problem but..." Minho then frowned and stopped himself. Why did he feel sorry for Hyunjin ? Why did he feel he'd loved him when he'd hated him all his life...hadn't he?

"Jisung I'm sorry, I don't understand either and that's why I came I wanted to find a solution."

Changbin then got up and took Jisung in his arms to comfort him, he seemed really at the same time angry and lost and confused. This morning was supposed to be a good morning like everyday since they switched places. But now he was just here and tears were streaming down his face. Changbin then took him to sit on one of the chairs in the living room, and the others followed, with Hyunjin and Minho taking their places on the sofa. Minho, still searching for answers, turned to Hyunjin, asking him to explain everything. Changbin stayed by Jisung's side, but listened attentively as Hyunjin told him everything. Their body change, their deal, then their decision not to see each other anymore. Minho also seemed angry, but preferred to listen to the whole story to understand everything. Jisung had his hands over his face and didn't feel like being there; he wanted to go to class, spend time with his friends, and get away from this situation, and from Hyunjin.

"So you mean you were my...boyfriend?" asked Minho, pointing at Hyunjin in disgust.

"Yes..."

"You should at least apologize to them Minho!" then said Changbin aware of everything he'd put Jisung through before.

"I hated him because he clearly had a crush on Hyunjin, and then...that's why I wanted to keep you close to me..." he said, looking at Hyunjin.

"We still have a problem..." said Jisung, raising his head.

"Jisung...we'll find a solution..." said Changbin.

"But I don't want to find a solution ! I'm happier this way, do you think I want my life back ? Changbin seriously, what was so good about it ? Being harassed by this asshole ? And seeing Hyunjin every day just hanging out with him ? And then not having any friends, being afraid of people ? Not being able to do anything ?"

"Oh come on, just because you're 50kg heavier or lighter doesn't mean you're not talented !" said Minho as he stood up. "I don't really understand your story, but there's definitely something not right...I'm not trying to make up for it because I honestly don't care…but I won't say anything so...don't worry...and Jisung I didn't hate you because of your looks, just because of your feelings for Hyunjin...now the question I'm asking you is Hyunjin do you want your life back ?" Jisung then raised his head to look at Hyunjin more seriously.

"I...I don't think so...I feel good in this body and I manage to blossom...I have time to paint, I have friends who are much more...sincere with me and I don't feel alone…its quite the opposite actually. »

"Listen...I just need to think about all this… » said Jisung.

"We'll leave you to think then..."

Minho then grabbed Hyunjin by the arm and the two of them left the apartment, leaving Changbin and Jisung alone and giving Jisung time to better understand how he felt. Jisung didn't hate his body, it was himself that had a problem and he knew it, but Hyunjin's body and his life had given him a new vision of life and he didn't want to see it disappear. He had never been very good at expressing himself, but he knows it was Hyunjin fault at all, it was nobody fault in fact…the he wonder why was he only focusing his anger on him ? As if Hyunjin could change things. Jisung then went to his room and lay down on his bed, closing his eyes and simply wishing that everything would stay as it was.

For his part, Minho had taken Hyunjin to a café so they could have a chat. Hyunjin had felt like refusing at first, but Minho seemed...different and perhaps deserving of a chance to be listened to. Minho returned with a plate containing two drinks and several pastries, which he placed in front of Hyunjin. Hyunjin frowned but said nothing, taking his drink in his hands, not daring to look Minho in the eye.

"I'm sorry...for everything..." then said Minho suddenly and Hyunjin raised his head.

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to..."

"I know, and I'll talk to Jisung too when he’ll better...but you deserve an apology too...our relationship...wasn't what I would have wanted and you suffered..."

"Why were you so...mean?"

"Well, I guess...I was jealous of Jisung, jealous of your relationship...and part of me only wanted you for me...it's stupid I know but...I'd never loved anyone before you and our relationship seemed so perfect that I was afraid of losing you and in the end... all that made me...mean and protective...too much...I loved you and even with all the love I had to give you I could see the way Jisung looked at you and I knew I could never love you that strongly..."

"I'd be lying if I said I didn't have my share of responsibility in that...I just think we...we just loved our the fact about being a perfect couple more than each other...what I don't understand is why...apologize now?"

"When my memories came back...I went over everything I'd done and it seemed obvious that my behavior had had consequences in your story...so I said to myself that, in the end, it would be better to help you than to continue hurting people I actually like..."

"Will you apologize to Jisung?"

"I promise, I don't want to be the bad guy in your story anymore...I want to help you"

"Thank you Minho..." said Hyunjin, bowing his head.

He understood better the problem Minho had had and in the end a part of him was reassured by it. Minho had changed, and if he was willing to help them, then Hyunjin wouldn't refuse any more help. He didn't mind having Jisung's life; on the contrary, he liked it and that's probably why the changes had taken place. For too long, Hyunjin had been the type to let others do what they wanted, but now that everything had changed, he was making his own decisions, and no matter what happened, he was grateful for that. In the past, Minho had been a kind and thoughtful person, who cared for him and whom he had loved. Afterwards, he'd behaved like an asshole and an idiot, but today, finding himself in this situation, Minho had confessed his mistakes, questioned himself, apologized and would continue to do so. Hyunjin knew he'd forgiven him, he didn't want to hold it against him again and again, on the contrary, if things were to work out then he might as well be on good terms with Minho, and maybe even he and Jisung would get on better. The only thing he didn't understand was Jisung's fear; Hyunjin's life wasn't as ideal as it seemed and yet Jisung wouldn't let it go. Hyunjin was lost in thought when he saw Minho smile gently.

"What's the matter?" asked Hyunjin.

"Nothing I'm just realizing that if I'd been less of a jerk things could have gone a lot better..." he then said as he lowered his head.

"Let's try to move on...and we'll see how things turn out." said Hyunjin, smiling gently.

"Yeah, you're right...you can eat, you know, don't hold back because I'm here." said Minho, looking at the food in front of Hyunjin.

Hyunjin then smiled gently and began to eat slowly. He'd be lying if he said he hadn't been hungry all morning after breakfast. Since he'd started living with this new body, he'd been hungry a lot more often, and he'd wanted to fill that hunger without having to hold back or count his proportions. He liked seeing his body change, eating more and getting fatter. He wasn't sure why he found it appealing, but there was something liberating about this new way of living. And after all, eating made him happy, so why hold back? Hyunjin finished the pastries in front of him and put his hand on his belly, looking at Minho.

"Thanks for saying all that Minho!" he said, smiling gently.

"And thank you for listening to me." Hyunjin then smiled and laughed lightly. "I never thought I'd say this, but...I've never found you as radiant as this, Jinnie." Hyunjin blushed and nodded.

"Maybe it was my destiny to end up like this. I have no regrets on my side."

Jisung was sitting in the classroom thinking about what he would do when he got his life back. Would he become as closed as before ? Would the words Minho had said to him when he'd come to apologize after his visit with Hyunjin disappear ? Did he hate his life that much ? Or maybe he'd always idealized Hyunjin...Jisung couldn't take any more of his questioning, the simple truth was that he was afraid, and the only thing that could reassure him he didn't dare go near. Hyuniin was the only thing that could help him, and yet it was the thing that frightened him most. On leaving class, Jisung decided to go and lie down in the garden he liked, where he knew he could be alone. When he arrived, he saw that no one was there, and one part of him was relieved, while the other hoped that Hyunjin would be there. He lay down on the grass and sighed. For two months, he'd had an almost perfect life, and now it could all come to an end overnight, and fear scared him more than anything. It was as if he no longer felt capable of moving forward. Yet Changbin had reassured him, Minho had apologized and Hyunjin had sent him messages to say that when he will be ready, he’ll come.

He closed his eyes and remembered his conversation with Minho. Minho had come home later that day after leaving Hyunjin after coffee, and hadn't hesitated to go and see Jisung. They sat down in Jisung's living room, ready to revisit their past.

"I'm not asking you to forgive me Jisung, in fact I'm not even asking you to answer me, but know that I'm truly sorry for all the things I've put you up to.

"Why you...why now?"

"I finally understood...everything, everything I'd done to you and all the mistakes I don't want to make again."

"Was it really just because of Hyunjin?"

"You loved him so much...well you love him so much...that I saw you as a rival and not something else. So I behaved like a jerk towards you..."

"Like a rival? Seriously, the choice would have been easy..."

"I don't know why you put yourself down so much."

"Maybe because of some asshole who made me lose my self-confidence!"

"I admit my faults and I'm sorry but Jisung you've always been a handsome guy, you're talented and funny! You must know what I mean!"

"Not really...that doesn't excuse you!"

"I know it doesn't excuse me but if you don't see your own worth it's not my fault!"

"I...I do..."

"If you could see it, you'd understand that having Hyunjin's life doesn't solve everything..."

"If you've come to reproach me, you can go."

"I want to apologize, I hope we can be friends, and that I can help you in any way I can. I've understood my mistakes, and I wouldn't hurt you anymore. So...if you need help don't hesitate..."

He and Minho continued to talk after that, and finally decided to try and become friends, or at least talk more on a daily basis. Minho had put his finger on things and Jisung didn't want to think about it, but deep down he'd have to face reality one day. Thinking back on that conversation, Jisung sighed: if Minho had changed and was going to go on becoming a better person, why was he still focused on the past? When everything he'd always wanted was gradually coming true. He couldn't spend his life away from him, or watching him from afar, as he'd done for so long.

Jisung could feel his heart beating faster; for the past few days he'd been feeling more anxious and stressed than usual. Maybe his life was coming back to him as he went along, so he sat up and looked around. Why did he feel so blocked when the only thing he seemed to be worried about was himself ? Everyone was thriving despite the difficulties, and he was just dwelling on the past over and over again. He then took out his phone and searched for his conversation with Hyunjin, took a deep breath and closed his eyes before clicking on the call button. After a few seconds, he heard Hyunjin pick up the phone. Jisung hesitated for a moment, then decided that he couldn't continue to be separated from the one he had feelings for.

"I'm ready."

I wanted george to be soft and tiny and I wanted dream to be soft but playful with him, and somehow I created one of my favorite things ever by doing so. I think this is another fic that I didn't really brainrot the concept with anyone, I am actually 99.9% positive I blacked out and wrote this entire thing and then made cal read it for me before I posted it and cal helped me pick the title tooooooo

handsy hyperfixation was started december 26th, the morning after the dream team did their christmas stream, because I went completely insane over pictures of dreams hands (enjoy the blurry pictures <3)

I will be honest, this one was absolutely 100000% a self indulgent fic, purely for myself and I didnt really care if I posted it or not. cal actually told me to name it "mushie's self indulgent hand fic", which....absolutely not....but it's correct. whatever. sue me, Im obsessed with dreams hands ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

this is my favorite thing I've ever written, it's my baby, it's 7.2K words for me and me alone lmfao. I actually was terrified to post it bc I didn't think anyone would read it, and now it's over 100 notes. I actually could cry thinking about how proud I am of it (even though I messed up some things in it, I don't care, I poured so much into this fic)

the troubles with teleporting was the first time I ever wrote XD 🥺 this was a prompt that emma sent in, I can't find the actual prompt bc it was when my tumblr was a different name and the link is broken BUT

I remember just getting this idea to make the teleporting itself tk george at first instead of XD doing it right away, just bc I had the idea that it would kind of feel like when you go down a drop on a rollercoaster???? but a little more intense?

I also remember being super excited bc emma actually had the idea of the teleporting itself tkling instead of XD, but neither of us mentioned it to each other until after I wrote it that way! great minds think alike :D

again, it was my first time writing XD, and for those of you who don't know, XD is one of my all time favorite lers to read and write. I wanted to make sure I did XD justice, and I really love this silly lil fic, and how XD winds up just tkling the heck out of george at the end anyways (they even lifted george's arms up above his head while XD's bottom set got his ribs oh my goodness that was cruel huh 🫠)

2017: this year was fun bc i wanted to draw a mokouzart every moth and for the most part succeeded. my art was wonky and bad proportions but i was having fun and thats the most important thing imo

2018: my art was still bad proportions but i was starting to get more self conscious abt it. art school does that to a guy -weary emoji face- but dont be concerned there was still a lot of heart and i was getting more into storytelling in fics. hence the kasulaeg good stuff.

2019: this was def a weird time for me artwise- somehow i wasnt satisfied with how anything looked most of the time. i think just lifewise weird stuff happened too so it was really a time of change. also my art self esteem had been damaged pretty badly from art college and mobile game fans online (you know who you are). this one of rosa and kasumi is really goated tho, probably the last time ive been really happy for and actively cheering on the c y l winners. (tho i am happy for chrom/tiki/robin/corn tbh)

2020: this year was kinda me trying to get my groove back tbh. socially stuff had happened too (in 2019) but weirdly this was a big time for self discovery for me. during the job lockdown i was able to binge d q 11 and realized how fun games and fantasy anime genre has the potential to be. and i made a new friend! this treblesal is actually a redraw but i love their faces in this the best <3

2021: this year was where i felt like my groove was finally returned. minor setback of a computer crash in january aside, i started a series of an-allegroface-a-week and it was actually really fun and satisfying. in oct there was this platonic fave month which was so much fun. <3 sevil and kisumi are one of the awesome results of it! (not the brotp but the artwork)

2022: i feel like this was such a big year bc of n w h but thats just silly. but at the same time its kinda true lol. my creative kick for aime tachi was back, along with a need to go to d l and a sense of right and wrong which had been tested over the years. sure its gotten me nothing but trouble but im still a bit glad for it. i also decided to get creative w shading and pencils, and found that thin pens work a lot better for antonio's luscious locks. and that meant a very cool trebletonio drawing for his character day! <3

2023: 2023 had a lot of good content imo, it was hard to choose just one. but its gotta be the monty one man. i spent the whole year working on it no joke. more weird stuff happened last year but i do think i made steps to improving at art. that being said i have more unfinished artworks than schubert has unfinished symphonies (thats not saying much. he has one.)

2024: this year is only halfway done and so far ive drawn some things(tm). but i had to give it to mokouzart, i love these little freaks so much. notably this year ive started drawing the shines in characters' eyes? i like drawing them w the quote unquote dead eyes but its nice trying this too.

i have so many thoughts about the way people talk and think about jimin these days but im so scared putting them on public posts will get me doxxed or some shit. people are very attached to the idea that jimin acts openly queer which is really like. well. yeah. i definitely think people reallyyyy need to remember it doesnt matter how much you believe someone famous is queer theyre just presenting in a way that makes them happy and you really do NOT need to decide whether that's queer or not lmao in fact i think it says way more about someone when they decide he's queer because he doesnt act like a "typical man". like yeah in his performances obviously he explores gender some times but like sometimes songwriters are also exploring themes and thoughts that are purely creative. sometimes its not about them (and sometimes it is!) but. yeah. you can PERCEIVE him as queer if it makes you happy but you gotta remember thats not fact thats just what YOU think. yknow. and i also think this translates kinda into the fic people consume and create.

like here's the thing. people dont need to ACT a certain way to be considered men like thats ridiculous if youre a man youre a man regardless of how you act or what u say or what bits you have. same for any gender. which is why i generally think critiquing the cringey wattpad fics is a slippery slope. however, do i also think a lot of them have a very distinct cishet girl fantasy..... yes. but its embarrassing to write Y/N fic. so theyve gotta vent their desires somehow which is like fine i dont give a shit what people write. (as much as it bothers me how uncritically people read it and get it popular) but sometimes in a/b/o especially....... its VERY clear when your biases come out. which is why its sooooooooo obvious when someone who has never met real life queer people writes it. for example grouping "women and omegas" like they fill the same role despite being different subgenders when u could specify like. omegas and female betas. if u wanted. implying that women are still women even if theyre alpha but omegas are not men anymore. you get me? the fact that u decided to include male/female gender essentialism in the fic genre specifically around Not doing that is so unbelievably on the nose. and yet i see it everywhere. (i also think this is a symptom of people never having read other fandoms tho. they dont even know about gock [girl cock]).

also fics where the major antagonists are a group of girls that harrass jimin r super mean bc god we cant have a MAN do that or he's a predator. you get me? and the alpha jk who is quiet and broody and doesnt even HAVE to fight bc he's soooooooo strong the other alphas are just scared of his vibes. like you know the type of fic im describing. in general whenever the major antagonist of the fic is a bunch of women who also want to fuck jk (which like. if we're supposed to believe jk is soooo hot... like. they should?) and the author calls them a "gaggle" of women and emphasises how they "giggle" and their high pitched unpleasant voices..... brother we have some serious internalised misogyny to unpack with that one.

Seungmin finally looks up from the blinding light of his laptop and stretches his limbs for the first time since the sun said its goodbyes. His room was dark—the only source of lighting being the laptop’s screen, which only reminds Seungmin that he should probably lower the brightness setting before working in an environment like this. He already had a sinking feeling that he’d be needing a trip to the eye doctor soon. 

And ending up with glasses would be such a hassle.

It’s not that Seungmin hated wearing them per se, but having to use the tool for reading things would hinder the efficiency of his job somehow. Of course, not to the point of a drastic difference, but he liked being able to work on his craft right away whenever and wherever.

You see, Seungmin is a writer. 

Well, calling it his job is sort of a reach. His "actual" job was as a journalist for a news-based company—still in the same field, just different specializations. Seungmin considers himself quite good at both, though.

He loved creating stories. It was his way of destressing from all the chaos that was his list of news topics to cover. Who said journalism was easy? It was enjoyable, yes, but it physically hurts him sometimes when he’s being told to cover devastating topics. Maybe he was just too soft for the line of work. After all, his colleagues seem to be doing just fine with similar coverage.

Seungmin originally wanted to be a book author anyway. It has been a long time dream of his to watch his story and characters come to life in the minds of those who read it. 

His passion for creative writing was something he discovered back when he was still a child. Books were always of interest to him; the concept of experiencing the characters’ lives through words and bringing life to the reader’s imagination was greatly thrilling. And that’s why one day, he simply found himself wanting to try it out.

Years after that event, Seungmin was now a fairly well-known writer on a platform where anyone could post their work. Along the way, he realized that being a professional author was so much harder than it seemed—but this chance was already enough for him. His stories were seen by more people than he had originally imagined, and that itself was a big achievement.

Like a normal person in society, though, he still had to find a job. Posting for free wasn’t going to support his daily life, which is why he ended up working as a journalist. The pay was decent enough to not make him live off of cup ramen like in his broke college days. Despite this, he initially struggled to keep a place to live.

Real estate prices were crazy high in Seungmin’s area. So much that it ate a good chunk of his paycheck just to keep the apartment he had. Sure, he had a stable job, but it wasn’t the highest-paying one out there—it was only about time that he would be struggling to keep up with rent.

And that was when he met you.

"Can I please just have another extension? I had to send money home this week, so I’m really lacking on the payment," Seungmin remembered pleading with the landlord. 

He was severely behind on two months of rent at that moment, and the owner of the complex he lived in was starting to have his patience run thin. 

It wasn’t something he could control! Seungmin’s sister had broken her leg and needed extra money to cover the hospital and recovery fees. He wasn’t about to leave his family hanging like that!

The landlord sighed and patted his back. "Sorry about this Seungmin, but if you can’t pay the two months by tomorrow, we have to ask you to move out. There’s another person who is interested in an apartment here, but we were already full," he said, dropping his arm off Seungmin's back. "We’re running a business here. I hope you understand."

Seungmin was left dumbfounded as the landlord started walking away. What was he going to do now? It’s not as if he could just magically conjure up enough money to fully pay two months of rent. Asking his family was out of the question—they already had their hands full with his sister. So what’s next? His friends? How comedic.

He didn’t have any.

The closest would probably be his co-workers, but it was a very professional relationship and stopped at general concerns. He doubts they would be willing to lend him more than simple pocket money.

"Hello? Excuse me, sir?" He hears a person calling out to him. He turned around and spotted you—who was peeking out your apartment’s front door. Oh, right. You were his neighbor.

"Yes?" 

Seungmin watches as your eyes light up at his response. Why do you look so happy to talk to him? "I’m sorry for the sudden conversation, but it's just that I overheard your talk with the landlord. You’re going to be kicked out tomorrow, right?"

That was certainly one way to say it, he grimaces. Surely, you didn’t mean it in an insulting way, but the cheerful tone in your voice reminding him of the current situation was kind of putting salt over his wound. 

Sighing, Seungmin decides to reply and get it over with, "Apparently. What about it?"

The universe must have been on his side at that moment, because your words certainly caught him off guard. This was not what he was expecting—

"Do you want to share an apartment? I have an extra room."

Granted, any random person who offers to live together would've been sketchy in Seungmin's eyes. But maybe it was your positive vibe that pulled him in, telling him that this was a good idea.

You were literally giving him a place to live, at half the original price. Having a roommate wouldn't be such a big problem, right? Plus, you seemed like a decent person to live with.

However, all his other considerations were thrown out the window at the speed of light once he realized once again how severe his issue was: he was on the brink of becoming homeless. 

"Sure."

And that was where it all started.

Living with you was quite possibly the best decision Seungmin had made in a while. Not only did he continue to live in the same apartment complex (which was the closest to the train station in his area), but he also ended up with more money for spending because the monthly amount he had to pay for rent was cut in half.

You were such an angel too. Always making sure the kitchen was stocked, so that the two of you were living like proper functioning adults. It would take some more time before Seungmin was willing to go back to his college dorm lifestyle days. He's already been avoiding the instant noodle aisle in convenience stores for the past year. 

In exchange for your generosity, he started doing most of the chores in the apartment—something you heavily thanked him for, because washing the dishes really wasn't your favorite pastime.

Due to this dynamic you both developed, a lot of your neighbors mistook you two as a couple. And no matter how many times you tried to correct the assumption, it just comes back stronger in the form of: "Oh, young love. You don't have to be shy about it! Both of you are adults now. Living together isn't that bad."

Except it is that bad. 

The main reason you decided to have Seungmin as a roommate was that you, too, were running late on rent for that month. Unlike him, who was on it for the second time in a row, though, you had lacked just one month at that point, so the landlord let you get away with it. 

Your job had to cut employees due to a financial crisis, and the pay was lowered by about one-fourth of the original. Luckily for you, your workplace considered you one of the best workers and decided to keep you among the remaining employees. Because of that, you didn't lose your job—only a pay cut.

Basically, that leaves you and Seungmin in the "struggling young adults" classification. Sharing an apartment was the best move you two could make in an effort to save your living standards.

On the other hand, if you asked Seungmin about the misunderstanding, he'd honestly say that it doesn't bother him as much as it did you.

Half a year into your roommate agenda, he found himself falling for you. The crush started not long after you first found out about his hobby of writing.

"So, you post stories online? That's so cool!" Was your genuine praise, looking at Seungmin's laptop screen with interest.

He, on the other hand, was developing cold sweat—a result of having you so close to him. You were currently hovering over his back, trying to get a peek at his draft document. 

"Yeah—I, uh, post stuff sometimes," Seungmin replied with a small voice, not used to people praising his hobby in person. "It's nothing too special. But I like the reactions of the readers."

You hum. "How do you plan stuff? I'm not really a writer kind of person, but I do enjoy reading. I want to take a glimpse at your writing process."

Seungmin tried his best to not swoon like a fool.

Someone interested in his work? As well as the process? What a way to make him fall for you.

"I normally just have these bursts of ideas. It can be lines, plots, concepts, character traits, all that stuff. When I do get them, I open my phone's recording app and just say my ideas for future use," Seungmin explains. "I know others write them down as notes, but personally, I prefer verbally describing them, even if it's messily done."

The way your eyes sparkled as he pointed out more stuff in his writing process had him whipped in an instant. It was from then on that Seungmin's adoration for you grew even more romantically.

Every day, he thanked the universe for placing you in his life. Out of the millions of heavenly bodies in the vast sky, you outshone every single one in his eyes. He was waist deep in a slowly sinking phenomenon he could only describe as love.

It's been about two more years since he deciphered his feelings for you. He'd never know how you'd managed to still be living with him—what he did know, though, was that it was a mutual decision. 

You both never talked about it up front, but it was obvious that the two of you were now in a better place financially. It would be reasonable to want to live separately again, but the bond you formed throughout the two and a half years of living together was something that could not be broken easily.

"... Min?" He hears your voice calling out. You must be home already.

After stretching once again, he headed towards his door to greet you. Your eyes quickly caught his, the sight making you smile. This reaction was what kept Seungmin going every day.

"Were you asleep? Did I wake you up?" You asked, setting down the plastic bag you were carrying on top of the kitchen table. He shakes his head as a no. "Oh, that’s good. Your light was turned off, so I just assumed."

Seungmin laughs at you while he approaches the plastic bag. Once he got a closer look, he realized it contained takeout food. He looked at you in question. You merely motioned towards it. "Did you eat already? I brought you take-out just in case. Just place it in the fridge if you’re not hungry yet."

The action has him grinning unconsciously. It was one of your love languages to do acts of service, and knowing that, he felt extremely loved.

Taking out the food, he started unwrapping it while watching you take off your shoes on the sofa. It was endearing to see you relax and become more comfortable once inside your shared apartment. He felt special knowing that he was one of the only people to see you in your natural form.

Sadly, his joy-filled illusion was destroyed right away when he noticed the outfit you were currently still wearing—a devastating reminder of what had just gone on with your night.

"How was the date?"

You beamed at his question. At least you’re happy, he thought bitterly. 

"It was great, Min! He was such a gentleman the whole time, I was practically swooning. His name is Felix, by the way. Just in case I end up introducing you two. You have an Australian co-worker, right? Chris, was it? He’s Australian too—do you think they know each other?" You chatted enthusiastically.

How fun. He could already tell that this Felix guy was a topic that would stay for a while.

The conversation hurt him, but Seungmin decides to entertain you nonetheless. "Maybe. I can ask tomorrow or something." You give him a thumbs up.

"Cool! I'll go and change out of this now. Good night, Min!" He waves back at you, watching your form disappear behind your room's door. When he finally heard a click, his arm dropped immediately.

It wasn't the first time you've gone on a date with someone else before. But it was the first time you went home approving of one—a very big deal, because this means whoever this Felix is, he's definitely getting a second date from you.

Seungmin was envious of the guy. He doubts he'll ever be on the receiving end of your dates. Something he knows and has tried before, albeit more indirectly. The result was soul-crushing, though.

Bzzt, bzzt.

His phone vibrated for a while, indicating an important notification. Considering he had all other notifications off except for messages, it must have been a text. He lazily picks it up, glancing at the message.

Y/N 🤍: love you bro 🤪👊

He simply smiles at his phone, even through the tears that have piled up in his eyes. As much as Seungmin hated being seen as a brother to you, he'd rather have that than nothing. 

Yes, you saw him in a more familial light. It completely broke him for a while when he first confirmed it, but there was nothing he could do. Seungmin wasn't about to force you to like him romantically. 

No, he would rather leave the shared apartment than ever hurt you on purpose. Both were thoughts he despised to the bone. 

Exhaling shakily, he opens up the voice recording app and presses start.

"I know there’s a universe out there where we'll end up together. It’s just not this one."
