Pairing: Astarion/Gender Neutral!Reader

Theme: very angsty, death of a lover, revenge.

Note: The people have spoken and I shall answer. I tried to make this as lore-accurate as I could while maintaining my main idea! Sorry if there are errors. I was initially going to write this as a hurt/comfort but angst was just calling my name 😪. I HIGHLY recommend listening to these songs while reading hehe.

It wasn't supposed to happen how it did. Beating Cazador was supposed to be easy, Astarion had you and your other companions to fight alongside him. The difficult part was supposed to be deciding whether he would take this power for himself or let it go along with the thousands of vampire spawns with it.

So why was he frozen in place with your lifeless body an arm away, as your other companions tried to keep Cazador and his other lackeys at bay. You were always the protective type, you cared- probably more than you should for other people. He never understood how you could be so kind to people you just met, he who tried to kill you when you first met, he who takes all your offers to drink your blood, and he whose only goal was to kill Cazador, that was before he got closer to you.

He wasn't used to affection that didn't have a price, after all the times he fed on you he didn't hear a single condition on what you should get in return, all he heard was "I'm just happy to be helping you" Or "I can see in your eyes that the hunt wasn't good today, just swing by my tent if you need me ok?". He was- confused, and albeit sickened, after what he experienced being that kind only made him weak and even made him into a slave for Cazador. At the same time he couldn't help what he was feeling, how could he deny how he felt calm when he was in your embrace after particularly hard days, your skin on his with pleasure he never felt before, your kisses felt like the touch of the sun bringing back warmth into his pale and cold body, and your eyes that held no disgust for him.

But in the end, he was right, your kindness made you take a blow from Cazador for him and you paid the price. The last thing he remembered was you running to the blast that was aimed at him, gaining multiple attacks from the numerous minions Cazador had. Astarion couldn't move, he was stuck in place by Cazador and he already accepted the blast that was coming his way but if he knew that you were going to stand between him and Cazador maybe he would've fought harder, maybe your body wouldn't have been facing him with your eyes only focused on his. The moment you got hit- he swore he saw a tear leave your eye. He still doesn't know if it was out of worry for him or fear for what would happen to you.

The blast made your body fly to him as the impact knocked both you and Astarion to a nearby pillar. He was numb, even more than he was in all the years he served Cazador. After regaining his composure Astarion tried to take a glimpse at your body, but it only made him hold his breath and look away.

"Astarion are they ok? Say something!" He could hear Shadowheart screaming for him but there was still a distinct ringing in his head, he couldn't understand what was happening, he couldn't process what just happened. Shadowheart killed the remaining lackeys Cazador had while Karlach was able to kill most of them, Maybe they also saw what happened, and maybe they were also in rage. Who could blame them, You were the best of the group, and everyone's morale solely depended on you keeping it up.

He finally gained the courage to approach your body- crawling to where you were as he turned your body upright. He finally processed what had happened, you are dead, you sacrificed your life for a vampire spawn and he never felt sadness the way he did right now. Your eyes were closed, your chest not moving to breathe, this couldn't be the end. He loved you too much to let you go now, and he regretted not saying those three words earlier. "I love you" He whispered although now it didn't feel like what he imagined it would be, it felt meaningless.

In his grief he tried to find a solution, he racked his brain for any kind of answer, and in desperation, he found one. He'll turn you into a vampire, just like what happened to him when he died. Although he hoped this would happen in different circumstances he can't doubt himself now. "Hold on darling, okay? I got you. I'm here." He cradled your body in his arms as he wasted no time to bite your neck. In all his years as a spawn he has never experienced truly turning someone else, and why would he, the pain he remembered when he turned was not the pain he wanted on anyone else.

A bite and a drop of his blood was all that it should've taken. He bit his arm and had taken more than a drop of his blood in his mouth. He held your face as his blood made its way down your throat. For a moment he was glad, he knew it would work, this was how he turned! How could it not? But with the bite mark on your neck and the smell of his blood still lingering on your lips, you still weren't moving or responding at all. "What's the matter, love? Why isn't it working? I need you to live please!"

He cried and cried but through his tears, he wondered if maybe just biting you and giving you more blood would work. Frantic he started to remove the armor you had to gain access to more parts of your body.

Bite.

Your wrist, the same ones he remembers so tenderly to have kissed when you made love.

Bite.

Your leg, it would always tangle with his on nights that you found peace in each other's arms.

Bite.

Your thigh, what he would give to hold it tight once again as you sat on top of him.

Bite.

Your neck again, where he would bury his face, and suddenly all his problems would disappear.

He took in even more of his blood that once again made its way deep down your throat.

But nothing, it wouldn't work. He tried to reason with himself that maybe just maybe it would take a while for you to turn but he knew deep down that wasn't how it worked.

"You see boy, you are weak, you are nothing but a vampire spawn with no ability to protect anyone. Did I not teach you better than this?" Cazador who was already on his knees still managed to talk Astarion down.

Shock turned to grief and grief into rage.

"In all my problems and all the times I failed it was always you who was behind it..." Astarion made sure to put your body down gently whispering an 'I'll be back sweetheart' before standing up and striding towards Cazador and grabbing him by the back of his head "You just weren't satisfied with the years of pure shit you put me through were you?" Out of all the cruel things Cazador has done Astarion would argue that this is by far the most gut-wrenching thing he had ever experienced.

"Astarion, maybe if we bring them back to a church fast enough the clerics could-"

"The clerics can't do anything about this now!"

Karlach was quick to stop talking, normally she would not be easily swayed but she knew that he was right, You were as good as dead and in Astarions mind his world had also ended.

"You are a fool to believe that you could ever have a happy ending, Astarion. From the moment I turned you to the moment you lured your first victim you should've known that no Gods would ever take pity on your soul." The hand that was holding the back of Cazador's neck tightened. "You're right, No God would help me, but maybe your little contract can"

Astarion threw Cazador on the ground as the decision was set in his mind. "What do you think you're doing?" Finally, a hint of fear in Cazador's voice was what Astarion needed to continue what he was about to do. He needed to ascend to find another solution that his abilities as a spawn couldn't possibly find. "Karlach, I need your help- your eyes rather, to see the scars on my back. Use the parasite to connect to my mind so I can see the scars on my back and copy it onto his."

"You wouldn't dare!"

"Oh, but I would, years of trying to push me towards the edge and today... You finally did it and I applaud you" Astarion picks up the blade beside him ready to carve the contract onto his back.

"You know I can't let you do that" Karlach tries to reason as she sees how truly hurt Astarion is.

"That wasn't a question! All the power that he's lusted after will be mine"

"At the cost of a lot of lives. It's not worth it, Astarion" Shadowheart knows nothing could sway him now, not after what Cazador did.

"My darlings' life was worth more than thousands! I'm just trying to even out the score"

Karlach debates for a minute, If she lets Astarion do the ritual thousands would die but if she doesn't Cazador would surely find a way to ascend and hunt down Astarion. In the end, she lets Astarion see the scars on his back, she could feel the blade in his hand with a tight grip and his grief covered by the lust for power that he can obtain.

"Yes, yes I see it." Astarion smiles a wicked grin as he removes Cazador's top which reveals his bare back soon to be marked with a contract.

The moment the blade came in contact with Cazador's back it was followed by his blood-curdling screams with the sound of flesh being carved out rather brutally. Shadowheart had to look away until the screams came to an end and the contract was finally set on Cazador's back.

"Ungrateful child. Wretched child."

"It's time to take your place."

Astarion picked up Cazador's staff which gave him the power to place Cazador to where he would be sacrificed. He could feel it, the power was an inch away from his grasp. All he needed to do now was plow the staff into the ground to obtain all that power.

As he raised the staff with closed eyes all he could think of was you, the images of all the times you spent together flashed before his eyes, at first he was happy then enraged after realizing that he might never see your smile again. It was all he needed for him to plow the staff to the ground as a red aura emanated from the floor and to the spawns. He recited the chant for the ritual and finally, he felt stronger and even more powerful.

One by one they all died and Astarion could feel the power flowing through him, he was high on whatever power he just received and as Cazador died the ritual was complete. Shadowheart and Karlach could only look in concern and fear as Astarion smiled.

He was free at last, but how free could he be when the chains of your death still hold him hostage? He let go of the staff as it started floating on its own and started following him. He slowly walks towards your body, still no change, but he picks you up anyway and gives a small kiss on your forehead. "Come on sweetheart, I'll get you fixed up, I promise. I'll find a way."

He started to slowly walk out of the lair, not caring if the other two would follow or not. Your body cradled closely to his chest. He looked to your lips which would feel so tender against his- now unmoving, and your eyes- he was convinced had some sort of magic in it now closed. His head filled with thoughts of the endless power and control he could have and what that power could do to bring you back to life. He looked menacing just from the way he walked, anyone who stood in his way would be destroyed. In his mind, this is what grieving felt like, an emptiness to what should be full, the weight of the world on his shoulders, and the Gods laughing at his despair.

As he approaches the elevator, the gurs stand in alert ready to confront Astarion about what he's done but for their sake, he hopes they would stand down. For a grieving monster is more terrifying than they think.

I love Mitski! I used to refuse to listen to her because i had a roommate who was obsessed but another friend showed me Mitski after I finished the first draft of ABM, and I was shocked by how good Lush was! I think Mitski makes a lot of ABM/Angels-Trilogy songs, and I've listened to her quite a bit during the making of A&M (I don't listen to music when physically writing so it's mostly when I'm brainstorming and fiddling with stuff).

Music questions are hard for me to answer!! I don't listen to a ton of music and it's mostly Latin cumbia, which doesn't match my books very much akalakjsd I'll say that the story of the trilogy as a whole came to me while listening to Sabor a Mí by Eydie Gormé . Labios Rotos by Zoé inspired quite a bit of A&M.

Dark Red and Mercury by Steve Lacy inspired some of ABM Lucifer and Michael, for sure.

MARINA's Scab and Plaster and Lana del Rey's Serial Killer, of course, also inspired Lucifer. St. Topez by Lana del Rey makes me think of Lucifer in A&M quite a bit.

I may also share some writing about my experiences with intergenerational trauma. I'll try to share some of my experiences with mental illness and trying to heal from a traumatic family.

i'm so excited to hear that you're listening to her! what songs do you like so far? one song that i would want everyone to listen to is "your best american girl" because i feel like there's so many different ways to interpret it and the feelings in that song are not expressed in media enough(?)- especially the line "you have so much to do and i have nothing ahead of me". Like, i feel like characters or people (me) who relate to that are never recognised or understood, but this song just understands them/me and so i'm very attached to it.

for you specifically, i think i would recommend "crack baby", for honestly no reason other than the fact that i think dazai embody the songs to an extent and you like dazai, so ;) i think you will be able to appreciate the song (atleast i hope so)

no bcos i walked into this movie hearing so many good things about it i was kind of worried ab it being underwhelming to my expectations But It Was Not. it made me bawl the first time i watched it highkey 🤭 something about the specific flavour of parental... disappointment?? love??? it was beautifully crafted and stephanie hsu's performance to me was unforgettable im probably going to go watch her entire portfolio ive watched the vid below like 10 times

MOB PSYCHO 100 from one and studio bones (2016-2022)

jort recommended this show to me and i finally bit the bullet and watched it in may... ITS SO BEAUTIFUL. IT JUST. clenches fist idkkk this show just is stunning on so many levels visually its my fav anime i think??? so many frames that will live in my head forever... also the nature of the narrative about Kindness without the like framework of whether its "deserved" or you're worthy of giving or receiving it really spoke to me. hats off to jort for this i'm rlly glad i got to start it while the show was airing

Hi! Ya I was curious about the extra bonus track..but some people said it might just be a remix so I wasn't too sure about it. I like the color though and how it also matches one of her 1989 outfits on tour like people were saying. But I kinda wonder why she is doing so much for 1989..similar to Midnights with the extra bonus track and different covers..but I think she just wants it to be really successful over the original version. I may buy one for the car eventually but it also won't have the bonus song so idk. I loved her VMAS look and after-party look..and how she wore a dress similar to Sabrina's and hung out with Selena! I love that they're still close.

I never saw Ride the Cyclone but have heard good things about it. I guess I'm not as familiar with some off Broadway stuff for the most part but that's cool. I hope we can both like Broadway again soon. But I see you watched the Little Mermaid movie and so did I! It's nice thinking we both did the same thing near each other like with the Eras tour..and hopefully with seeing the tour movie too. Anyway I thought it was mostly fine..but also good. But I mostly enjoy all the remakes..cuz I already know what I'm getting so I can't be too disappointed. But anyway..ya new songs sometimes always feel unnecessary anyway. I knew it was Lin beforehand but also you can always kinda hear Lin's style too so it's interesting you didn't know. But it was more obvious in Encanto than here. I'm still a fan of his though! I'm glad you're feeling better! I wasn't feeling as well either which is why I didn't reply right away. But I've also more offline and trying to read more too. I will hopefully be done with Some Mistakes Were Made by the end of this week..maybe. since I am now trying to read more books in the readathon and focus on that. I will probably put The Night Circus in cozy fantasy then, and finishing up picking for the other categories. I don't really listen to audiobooks cuz I get too distracted or can't focus on it. It would have to be a good one too..a lot of the ones I'm familiar with is just like reading out loud so I don't usually listen to them..but i could see how it might make you enjoy the book more if the audio was good. hi hello!! i'm definitely curious to see what she ends up doing in terms of remixes for 1989 tv! and i've seen some theories about her alternating between not a lot of promo and then a lot of promo, which is cool — and would make sense with rep being an album with not a lot of promo which means (in my delusional brain) that debut would have a lotttt of promo !! i do not think that's true, but i would love it if debut finally got paid its dues. unfortunately, the different covers is just the norm now; i think sour & guts both had ~ 15/16 variants, most artists have at least 3 but a lot of them usually have more, it's just a marketing/sales thing, unfortunately. and yes!! i think it's so cute how close they are <3

i listened to the new laufey last week but haven't had time to relisten and so i do not have favorites for you yet! i've actually never listened to madison beer, but tiktok keeps pushing her on me so i might give her album a go soon! and the new mitski — i am just very behind on music lately (been listening to audiobooks instead) but i am very excited to give the new mitski a go! one of my best friends got to go to an early listening party in a planetarium for the new mitski, and that experience sounded SO cool. guts has definitely grown on me a lot more; i think i like it more than sour, but that might be recency bias.

i saw ride the cyclone twice in seattle, and it is just such a weird little musical that i love with my entire heart! i love odd little shows that just make me think, and ride the cyclone definitely is one of those shows. i'm seeing the national tour of hadestown in a few weeks which i'm super excited for; i've seen it on broadway twice, but missed the tour last year when they were in seattle (got into seattle and then found out they cancelled my performance twenty minutes before doors opened). and i just got tickets to go see a regional performance of the band's visit when i'm in boston this fall, so i'm super stoked! i hope you're also able to love broadway again soon 🤍

and yes!! i love that! 🥺 i think i was a little disappointed by the remake? i don't usually like remakes though (aside from live action cinderella). i really loved halle bailey as ariel, but was a bit let down by jonah h-k as eric (and sent my friend caitlyn several voice memos about how his eric reminds me of how he plays laurie in PBS little women) vocally but also just wasn't the biggest fan of his characterization/interpretation! i think the remake also just didn't do a whole lot for me, which is fine! the pacing felt very drawn out, i wish the costumes were a bit brighter in color, and i think some of the casting was interesting, but i really loved daveed diggs as sebastian! i haven't actually wanted encanto but i keep meaning to!

i'm SO excited for theatre camp! i think i'm watching it on friday with a friend; i love molly gordon, and will watch anything for her haha. the color purple remake looks so good, i saw a trailer of it when i watched barbie and it looks amazing!! in general though, i really have mixed feelings because i don't think everything needs to be a remake — i think some things work better as proshots vs. remakes, and sometimes i just get sad because there are perfectly good actors who can sing well that we can cast in musicals and a lot of remakes/movie musicals don't do that (this isn't about any cast/movie in particular, just an overarching generalization).

He had been enamored with you for a long time. Ever since the first day he had seen you, really. He had accidentally knocked down all of the library books you were carrying out of your apartment while he was rushing into his own apartment. Rushing to get away from paparazzi. A particularly large book had fell on your feet, he felt bad about it for days until he eventually ordered flowers to be delivered to your doorstep as an apology. Also because he had a thing for you. To put it lightly.

The first time you had seen him, you smiled. He was a lot more handsome in person than in the magazines. You recognized him, but not someone you knew well. “You’re that guy,” you had said. He loved that you didn’t really care who he was. He was just that guy you recognized. He always wanted to be more than that to you. He constantly thought about how to make you his and about you in general. Especially in the night time when he yearned for you, miserable knowing you were just down the hall.

And the first time he had asked you out on a date, you said yes. It came as a surprise to him, he didn’t think you would really say yes. He had hoped you would, even if it was a long shot. Timothée took care planning the perfect first date. It was perfect, even though everything he planned had fell through. It was perfect because you were together. The two of you got along great and really enjoyed your time together.

It ended in a kiss, one that he would think about and hold on to, only in memory, for months.

You had pulled him in by his rain soaked t-shirt, planting a wet kiss on his lips, right there in your apartment doorway. You invited him inside, where you talked and drank wine all night until you fell asleep on the couch, tangled up together.

I’ve been blossoming alone over you

That’s why it was so confusing to him as to why the next day, you weren’t returning his text messages. It confused him for a long time. A confusion that would haunt him until he found out why.

The times he saw you in that long hall and he managed to say something to you, it was never why? Why did you do this to me? It was always awkward and not very well thought out.

When his words failed, he tried other pursuits to try to win you over. The flowers just being one of them. Some days he would knock at your door, bring you coffee, tea, wine or sometimes lunch.

You were flattered and if you were being honest, you really really liked him too. The truth was, you couldn’t take the pressure. The one taste you had gotten so far, wasn’t something you’d enjoyed. It was the day after your first date, you had opened your phone when he had left. Your phone was filled with messages from your friends, linking nasty articles about you and Timothée. What was worse than the articles, were the comments. You didn’t know if you could handle all of that. It was a shame, because you thought about him just as much as he thought about you. Nothing could be sadder, than two people yearning for one another, with nothing but two doors separating their union.

And I hear my heart breaking tonight

The walls in the complex were thin, and he liked it best when he could hear you singing. When you sang, he knew you were happy. Those were his favorite days. On those days, he would write you love letters. Tokens of his appreciation that would never be sent. They would just sit in a pile by the windowsill, a shrine of his love. They would never even leave the confines of his apartment. He wrote in great detail about how much he adored you, all of the things he wanted to say in person but never quite could. Your singing days were usually the sunniest, your voice served as a soundtrack for his day-to-day life. His favorite soundtrack. He wished you were singing every day.

Do you hear it too?

On the days that he could hear you crying, he wept with you. His heart could barely stand to hold the weight of the world on these days. Your quiet sobs broke his heart every time. He would sit by his door, hand pressed to the wood, willing you to feel better. He wanted to leave you sleeping medication, but instead he would leave you more flowers. Occasionally, the appearance of the flowers would fix your loneliness. When his flowers could dry up the well of your tears…. well, those were his second favorite kinds of days.

However, today, was his best day yet. He caught you right at the perfect moment. Today was the day you would finally agree to go out with him again.

You stepped out of your apartment, he stepped out at the same moment. You looked great, he prayed you weren’t going out with another boy today. Those were the worst days. He thought about all the times he had to suffer when some piece of shit would come knocking on your door, asking for your affections. Every time he wanted to shoo them away, to say “fuck off, she’s mine.” But he never did.

“Y-you look gorgeous.” He stated, you turned to look at him from over your shoulder as you locked your door. You smiled at him, and his heart nearly combusted. The sun through his open door hit your sundress perfectly.

“Thanks Timothée,” a giggle, “you don’t look so bad yourself. What are you up to?” You’d hoped it came off as neighborly, you always tried your best to hide how much you liked him, and how much you liked to look at him.

He looked handsome in his white button down and t-shirt, hair just a little bit wild like always. You loved it. “I’m going out to get some coffee, would you like to join me?” His eyebrow raised and you pretended to think about it. Only for a moment. Your heart swelled. Oh good, he doesn’t hate me, you thought. Sometimes you would cry at night at the thought of never contacting him again.

You smiled again, his words washing away your sad thoughts “I was just about to go for a stroll, I’m thinking I could go for some coffee too.”

His heart leapt in his chest when you agreed. He immediately held out his hand for you to hold, he was desperate to feel your skin again. You were desperate to feel him too. Timothée was tired of only interacting with small quips and tiny glances. He relished even the moments where he’d watch you through the peep hole, wishing he could be the one twirling the hair that fell down your back.

I could stare at your back all day

You walked out of the complex together, fingers interlocked, palms not touching. There was something uniquely intimate about it. You were thankful that there wasn’t anyone outside when you walked through the threshold. You hated the crowds.

But you loved holding hands with Timothée. You snuck glances at him as you walked through the city together. You thought about how beautiful he looked. He always looked beautiful. In your eyes, he was too much to be into you. He was beautiful, famous and seemed to be on the surface, incredibly cool. It must have been a joke. You shook your head to try and shake away the thought along with it. This isn’t middle school, people don’t do that anymore. A pink fanned across his cheeks from the morning wind. Ethereal. He must have noticed this because he turned to look at you, near award winning smile coming out to play. It made you want to cry, because you really wanted to look at it forever. His thumb rubbed softly against the top of your hand. Goosebumps. “How was your week?” You asked him.

“How was m-my week?” He spluttered, it was hard for him to think when your skin was touching. Timothée’s eyebrows furrowed together, confused. “My week!” He felt like an idiot for his temporary memory loss.

Timothée continued on when he came back to earth “My week was busy, I’ve been working on a couple of new projects I’m excited about.” He didn’t want to talk about it. He wanted to talk about you, and talk with you about things that were worth talking about. What he was working on was important to him, but it was something he talked about to press, to the world, not something he wanted to talk about with you. Not because he didn’t want you to know. He wanted you to know him, in a way that no one else could. “What about you? How was your week?”

You shrugged your shoulders and looked over at him “I’ve been working on a couple of songs. Nothing serious, just for fun, a couple of open mics.”

“I’ve heard you singing before, you sound really great.” Really man? You had to say that out loud? She probably thinks you’re a creep now, he thought and shoved his freehand into his pocket. He was just as intimidated by you.

Your smile grew wide and you blushed “Really? That’s so cute. Thank you.” Thank the heavens, it didn’t seem like you thought it was weird.

You on the other hand, wanted to run and hide. Hearing that from someone with exceptional taste made you fear the worst. Was he being sarcastic?

Suddenly he stopped walking which forced you to stop on the path too. The two of you were almost to the coffee shop. You turned to look at him, perplexity painted all over your face. Oh fuck. “What’s wrong?” Timothée just stood there and stared at you, he looked like he might cry. Looked like he might cry but he had a smile on his lips.

“You just look so gorgeous,” he hesitated before he spoke his next words, afraid this might scare you off for good. But he had to ask. He didn’t think he would have any peace if he didn’t “and I can’t figure out what I did wrong here? Did I come on too strong? What did I do?” His voice was pleading and it was so desperate you couldn’t help yourself from walking to where he stood. You faced him and sighed softly. You wanted to kiss him again. You wanted to embrace him. You wanted to dive into anything he wanted. You wanted what he wanted, if it meant you could be with him. The thought terrified you however. You had only caught a glimpse of what that could mean for your life, for your mental health. Could you handle it?

“I wish I could tell you how often I think of you.” You started, hand coming up to press against his shirt. His knees nearly buckled and the sun started to shine brighter. The touch of an angel. “And of how often I think of the things said about me.” Your eyes fell from his face now, to peer at the hand on his chest. It looked right. It felt right. It felt better when his hand moved to cover yours, cold decorative rings grazing your skin.

“I’m sorry,” Timothée frowned, having an idea of what you were referring to “I know it’s a lot to deal with. It’s a lot to ask someone to put up with. I’m sorry I can’t say that I can make it all go away.” His hand squeezed yours gently.

Timothée continued, “I can try to make your other troubles go away though. I’ll try my best. I’ll be so good to you. I just want a chance to show you the actual Timothée, please. I don’t want anyone else to know me.” He paused and bit his lip gently, forcing his gaze away out of nervousness. “Fuck all the noise, just give me a chance.”

“It is a lot to ask of someone..” You lamented, voice quiet and sad. Your gaze moved to meet his, and his stare sent a warmth through your body “But I want you so bad, I feel like it might not matter..” Maybe you would give him a chance.

“Oh god, I want you so bad, you have no idea how happy it makes me to hear you say that.” He was beaming now and he tried is hardest to contain himself. Timothée grabbed your face in his hands.

“I know I've kissed you before,

but I didn't do it right

Can I try again?”

You laughed at him and playfully rolled your eyes “Technically, I kissed you.”

“Maybe I misinterpreted the situation,” he chuckled and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly as he leaned down to brush his nose against yours.

“So are you going to try again or are you just going to stand there looking handsome?” At the sound of your brevity a blush rose to his cheeks and he finally pressed his lips to yours. You smiled against each other, your arm coming to wrap around his neck to pull him closer.

You reluctantly pulled away, not without giving him one more quick kiss. “I guess I could give you a chance.” You were turning on your heel and beckoning him to follow you into the coffee shop to order. “Another coffee for old times sake?” He followed after you.

Timothée felt strange walking into the coffee shop he had been into so many times. He always went alone. But not today. The baristas looked up at him with wide eyes. You expected them to say something about how it’s the Timothée Chalamet.

To your surprise, one of them spoke up and said “Oh my gosh, is this her?” You turned to look at a very embarrassed Timothée. He shifted on his feet and held a finger above his lips, a silent begging of please shut up!

“What do you mean?” You laughed and approached the counter, leaving him standing in the door way, blushing bright red.

A girl wearing an apron steps forward and chuckles, motioning to the sheepish man. “This one right here, comes here every week and gushes about you. ‘Do you think she would like this flavor? What about this scone? Would she like it? Is the Lavender syrup too much lavender?’ I just never thought I would see the day when you actually came in with him.” She exasperated before taking your coffee order. You were laughing now, blushing along with him.

You turned to face him and he looked like he wanted to just sink into the floor. “Yeah, this is her.” He wanted to disappear. Instead he approached you, settling his hand on the small of your back. He ordered his own coffee.

“She’s cute, I like her.” Another barista yelled from the back and you giggled quietly, curling into his side.

The two of you sat outside and chatted about things that mattered, and your hearts felt full after long months of being separated by life and hesitations. You spent the better part of the day together before you had to reluctantly separate for work things.

He had asked you on a second first date. Now the both of you had something sweet to look forward to, to get you by.

- mostly just taylor swift, she makes up 70+% of my listening probably haha and if i had to pick a favorite genre of hers it would be the folkmore style

- lyrics are really big for me, so is having a pretty voice and nice melodies

I think you won’t get the satisfaction of that reaction from Akaashi but he will probably be hesitant of coming to talk to you. He’s not one to judge people like that so he’ll probably be really polite and concise when he meets you.

Akaashi is probably going to think initially you don’t like him but he doesn’t want to assume anything. At some point, he’d just be super upfront with it and ask, “Do I bother you? Do you not like me? If that’s the case I apologise.” Once you clear up any misunderstanding I think he’ll shoot his shot with a sigh of relief.

I see Akaashi as a coffee shop or bookstore-type first date person. I think he’s probably had everything at the coffee shop before he picked his favourite and he’d definitely have some recommendations to give to you. As for the bookstore, he’s most likely friends with the owner and finds a way to get it after hours for the both of you.

He’s most definitely going to be interested in hearing you play violin he won’t push you to. I think he’d be mesmerised just to see the way you look, your focus, and when you look at him his eyes will be lit up, he’d be sort of lost on you. He’d quickly apologise and tell you his thoughts that would be filled with compliments and amazement.
