I absolutely hate it when I dream and have the coolest ideas ever but then I wake up it's all gone

#stories character designs... you name it #last night I dreamt that a unused concept for a character i like got leaked and it looked SO FRICKING COOL #like while dreaming i went “if they don't use it I'll do!” and planned on drawing it #but then i got distracted by a racoon plague going on in my town #and then i had to get my stuff from a (maybe) abandoned house cus i was moving #also i petted a kitty :3 #...or was it another racoon?#dreams are very weird when you're sick lol #so anyway i have a cold atm and kinda... forgot how to sleep last night? and that led to some very interesting dreams

is David touched starved? like how would he react to being hugged or just general physical affection?

David is simultaneously very touch starved and touch repulsed in the sense that his immediate reaction to anything he doesn't understand is to push it away violently. Like if you're a stranger/touch him unexpectedly he will hit you.

If your someone that he likes tho, like his parents or Red, he would just straight up cry I think.

I think there's something to be said about the whole "if a cat sits on you it is illegal to move/disturb them. you are trapped now" thing. I know it is a goof, a gaf, a jolly silly time but. as someone who sure does operate based on The Rules, I have had so many nights where I didn't go to bed on time, or couldn't do my Required Tasks for the day because I was scared of breaking the Sacred Law of Not Disturbing the Kitty.

Waking up my precious cat because my legs are asleep and I need to go to the bathroom? Forbidden! the brain gremlins say. What will others think of you? suffer instead! Let the kitty be comfy!!

Cat get in the way of work on a computer or at the desk? they're helping!!! it is cute and good and wonderful!!! you move Cat? you move cat away from your work like a pile of laundry? Jail!! Jail for 1 million years!!!

IDK man, I just think there might be a connection between that kind of mindset and the whole "Doing anything for others comfort despite my own wellbeing" mindset that interferes with a lot of us doing better than we could be doing.

so uh.

Here is your permission to get up and move your cat. There's no consequences. Your cat probably doesn't mind and if they do they will forgive you (especially for treats if you can't stand the thought of even a potential betrayal).

i'm going to petsit at my aunt's house tonight and i'm so sad they declawed the youngest cat

#the latest in a disturbing pattern.#1. their old dogs pass away. they want new pets #2. they adopt two kittens. the kittens are quiet and shy and play mostly on their own. they want more affectionate pets #3. they get a puppy. the puppy is crazy ofc. i think he's awesome and i think they're probably satisfied.#4. nope my cousin wants her own cuddly cat bc the ones she has aren't affectionate enough. they get a shelter kitty.#the new cat is agressive toward the others so they keep him shut in her room 24/7 instead of letting them get used to each other.#he has no one to play with most of the time so he gets bitey and scratchy when played with. they don't have the time to train him #(for the same reason i'm watching them so often) so what do you do. take its freaking claws off. alter its body forever for your convenienc #the animal you adopted is an animal with its own personality and that's not good enough #people who are this busy should not have four animals. i know i shouldn't judge bc i don't get invited over while they're home very often #so i don't see how they interact. but what i do see makes me cry sometimes #also wouldn't declawing a cat make it more likely to bite?? which is way more dangerous??? like cat bites can kill you right

now heres the thing is my rule is i have to live on my own for a year before im allowed to get a pet but also consider what if i had a little friend .

#in my heart i want a wawa so badly it hurts but alsoooo i worry quite a bit bc like. i work full time... so el wawa would be at home alone a #lot and one thing about the beautiful adorable majestic chihuahua is they have to pee every 3-4 hours. so i would have to have some way to #let them out OR keep them outside while im at work but another thing is 1. apartments dont generally have backyards #2. chihuahuas get cold very easily .... i could do some ssort of doggy daycare but i fear that would be expensive .... and i hate pee pads #and would prefer not 2 use them so i dont rly have much optionn 😭 but i want a chihuahua so badly.#but ALSO. a kitty cat.... i love cats i think theyre really quite sweetsies and also i think they could handle living in an apartment bette #esp since famously cats use the bathroom indoors. u may know.#so... i could potentially get a kitty..... but also i dont want to get one until im absolutely positive i could take good care of it and i #feel like i could esp now that ive got a system that works so well 4 motivating me to do my daily tasks yk. and also i think if i had my ow #apartment id feel a lot safer just like. being up and around the apartment so thatd be good... but also pets r expensive. but also the apt #i just applied to is rly quite cheap (like 1050 a month) its income restricted but i qualify by like a lot LMAO... n this would be perfect #bc 1050 is likee. not even a full paycheck i could pay rent with 1 paycheck and still have like 150 left over and then my other paycheck fo #the month is fully mine... so i could save up lots #+ wsg is included in the rent whichhh is insane. adn the apartment is cute and Trust . alarm bells were going off a bit bc i was like maybe #this is too good to be true we all remember the 800$ scam incident. but its a verified listing and i checked the propertymanagers and theyr #legit... its even got a washer and dryer IN UNIT and also a fitness center which is good bc i wanna try n start doing more cardio...#IT EVEN HAS A FIREPLACE i dont particularly need a fireplace but its cool 2 have one i could make smores right in my very own living room #AND ITS NOT A STUDIO its a 1 br...#grahhh i rly rly rly want ittt ik i prolly wont get it but :[
