lots of common reactions i get as a mute person

all the following are peoples reaction when they assume i am deaf, the most common assumption

- flustered and lifts hands to try and sign and then lowers them when they realize they dont know ASL

- flustered and starts to sputter and talk before settling on mouthing things at me

- mouths “can you lip read”

- talks really loud at me (which wouldnt do much if i was deaf so idk)

- goes to find something to write on

- sometimes if i type on my phone in my notes when i need to say something other than yes or no people will go to literally take my phone from me to type back instead of literally anything else

- signs some of the more common sign, i get thank you a lot (especially in customer service situations, which is where most of these happen)

- if it is someone on the street saying something and they assume im deaf when i sign at them they usually just disregard me which is actually really nice

heres a few nice incidents

- guy asked me if i was mute in spanish and i nodded and he asked if i knew spanish and i was like not really lol (live in a heavily hispanic area so i picked up on enough to understand) and he switches to english and shares about a talk he had gone to recently about mutism

- girl working at sonic assumed i was deaf and ran inside just to grab her phone to help me which i thought was really sweet so i just didnt correct her

- just today i was using the self checkout at a gas station and the guy behind the register sees me getting frustrated with the card reader and slides over a piece of receipt paper that says “tap works better” and i am like “i dont have tap” and i decide to just cancel the self checkout and move to him cause hes got good vibes and he holds the bag up and raises an eyebrow allowing me to have a choice in it which i dont often get. when i am leaving he signs “have a good day” super slow and obviously practiced a lot, and the fact that he obviously learned that just in case this happened made me really happy

- every time someone has happened to know ASL in public, its always surprising how many hearing/verbal people know ASL, almost always because they are CODA

- the enthusiastic gay man at my eye doctor who got so excited when he saw i signed even though he doesnt know it, because he thought it was so cool

- every person who goes “oh you speak ASL” and then immediately thinks about thay sentence and kind of 404 errors out as they realize you cant speak ASL

- the tiny middle aged mexican woman who has worked the store at my school the entire time ive been going there who knows me because i always go there for caffeine and snacks, and manages to always communicate with me despite a couple language barriers and will often berate me if i dont get water with my caffeine or if i dont get food, and who also wishes me happy holiday for every holiday that comes around, and was also very visibly worried when i had to rely on a cane for a few months

- my painting professor who always takes so much pressure off because hes so blunt, when i came in with a cane everyone danced around asking about it and he walks in and goes “what the hell happened to you??”, the most recent thing that made me laugh is we were talking and i was using TTS and as we are walking into the studios he goes “im gonna go talk with Ronnie, give your thumbs a break” and then we both started laughing

the worst interaction ive had

- had one of my professors numbers which happens sometimes because it makes life easier and she texted me out of the blue saying she “had a dream she was at my wedding and i spoke my vows” with heart emojis and i did not know this woman at all and i was like…what the fuck…not only is that unprofessional but also ableist

this is definitely someone who could be a coworker or someone who you have to work on a creative project with - or you could just both be doing the same thing as each other in the same space. this could also be a classmate if you’re in education. someone who you study with in particular. this may even be someone who you supposedly have a connection with (like a friendship, maybe even a relationship unfortunately), however this person has some type of envy towards your money, your materialism, and/or the work that you do. and i don’t believe that you see this because you’re so focused on your money or the quality of your work. they could talk shit about your ideas - especially anything creative that you propose to a group of people - because i feel like your ideas help to teach other people very valuable methods, skills, or viewpoints, to use and this person seems to be so bothered by the way that a lot of people learn from you. you could be the best out of a group or workplace full of people regarding something. they could also talk shit about your relationship if you’re currently in one. i’m seeing a specific message for someone: if you’re gay (a gay man specifically) and you’re in a gay relationship, this person talks mad shit about that. or if you date someone of a different race or ethnicity to you. just if there’s any major difference between you and your partner, or if your relationship is seen as unconventional in some way. this person could ironically be very quiet (silent or mute even) within whatever community you’re a part of, and very introverted too. this person may usually enjoy being in isolation mode or they have been recently. this next message is actually quite fucked up. if you struggle with mental health issues, then this person talks about that as if you’re just keeping yourself in victim mode - as if what you’re going through isn’t actually real. this person is ignorant as fuck. for a lot of you, they don’t like the fact that you’re gay, they don’t like you dating outside of your race/culture, they feel like you’re doing this mental damage to yourself because their ignorant ass doesn’t understand mental health issues (their own issues nor other people’s, clearly 🙃). and for some of you this person talks shit about how much effort you put into your relationship or friendship with someone. if you’re the one who is usually alone and introverted, this person talks mad shit about this specifically. it might be because they feel like you don’t want to be around them in particular, whether that’s actually the case or not. overall, all of this boils down to them hating the fact that you’ve discovered who you actually are in some way, as well as a skill that you’re highly capable of. i’m seeing a message that this person feels as though they’ve tried to mend the connection that they have with you, but it seems like they haven’t been successful. so this could be someone who you once had a friendship, relationship, or family relationship with that was damaged due to something. and it was most likely due to some bullshit that was said, a backstabbing that this person put you through already (talking mad shit like they are now), or just something said that was extremely painful. if this person feels like you’re being made aware of their shit-talking, then they’re bringing this to a finish. but the amount that they’ve talked shit about is a lot. a lot. this person doesn’t know how to shut tf up and just address issues with you directly. you may feel like it’s impossible to have a successful relationship with this person yourself - and you’re right.

THE TEAM IS GROWING

Ok, so you know how Loki plopped me in front of Apollo recently and was like, "You work together now."? Well, back when I was doing those free rune readings, someone gave me an energy reading in return (I forgot who, but I'll edit to add their tag when I can!) In the reading, they mentioned a frog. I have had no previous connections to frogs, so I was very confused. But last month, I did a little journey to meet this apparent frog with Loki, and today, I did some tarot readings to learn more about the work they want to do together. (If you're wondering, it's hella shadow work. 🙄 But also connecting with more land spirits in regards to channeling and working with them in that capacity....but mostly shadow work.) I started looking up associations with frogs in different cultures. A lot of them mentioned transformation because of their life cycle (and working with a shapeshifter, it isn't super surprising such a creature might approach me/be recruited to help me). What stood out to me, though, was that the Japanese word for frog also means "to return." Images and items that look like frogs are given to people for safe travels so they can return home. I am not crazy familiar with Japanese culture, so I didn't know this. But that meaning really resonates with shadow work, I think. Because it's all about getting back to yourself and finding safety and comfort in yourself no matter what your struggles. So now I got Frog on my team.

THEN, because in my search for frog associations I found things about Chinese cultural associations, I started thinking about the Monkey King, Sun Wukong. My Trickster's Journey tarot deck is based on Monkey's journey in Journey to the West. In the Chinese zodiac, I was born in the year of the Monkey. I was feeling a little bit of a nudge and pull there. So I also talked with Monkey about what working together would be about. It's sounds like we'd be practicing some shrewd business and working on charisma to help in all my business-related dealings. Essentially taping into the energy and vibes associated with the year of the Monkey in the zodiac. With the possible rune readings gig on the horizon and my general desire to do that, that all makes perfect sense. So it would seem like Monkey's joining my spiritual Board of Directors as well.

As of right now, the apparent major players helping me out right now are

So the concept of the campaign is every character is a fallen god who's forgotten their divine life, and they regain a shred of their memory and now must find a way to ascend due to the fact that only Whole Mortals can reincarnate/be reborn, but if you die as a mortal-body divine-soul That's It (yadda yadda, non-dnd approved type shit; there are actually multiple ways they could go about it but I have no idea what they'll do beyond revive the sun) - One player didn't do that, but it's fine, he is instead POSESSED by a goddess, it's chill, and I adore his backstory and he's the only one with a backstory tightly interwoven with the world's lore and local area the campaign takes place in he is THE ONLY MAN WHO MATTERS T O M E (/j)

Ignore the fact that I'm responding backwards. But the pressure did work 👀 now I just need it to happen again because I blinked, and a month rolled around. I thought it was at most a week but no, my sense of time is fucked.

I'm so bad at names, and I barely do the story in any game I play unless I'm forced to (I missed an event in ZZZ because I wasn't on the third chapter yet ;-;). So I don't remember if I've done, seen, or even heard of the Chenyu Vale story, but I do know Mondstadt, at least.

I love it when my friends actually get invested enough with my imagination/ideas that they actually tie things into the ever-working narrative ;u; sometimes I feel like people don't do it because (they don't fucking care lol) they don't want to overstep on something that's made up by you. I understand, but man, it feels so uplifting when it happens. Keep that man alive. Are you planning on revealing parts of their divine life as the campaign goes on? I remember watching this youtube short about DND where they basically say that each player is given a blank sheet, and as they progress through the story they learn more things about their characters based on outside reactions.

I only know Windblume Festival but if it's a required quest/event quest, then I've most likely played the others. But yess, feel absolutely free to dump all your DND lore since I know you can't say it to your players unless you reveal too much. what they act like when they haven’t had enough sleep

i am the #1 sleepy link enjoyer. there is nothing better on this earth than link drowsily pulling at revali's scarf just to give him a sleepy kiss to his beak and then fall back asleep.

if this is about being sleep-deprived though, link is thoroughly traumatized from constant sleepless nights traveling through hyrule and developing hypervigilance as a survival response. revali feels similarly because he didn't need to sleep as a spirit trapped on medoh so sometimes neither of them can genuinely sleep unless they have each other

otherwise, link is dead silent and stares while revali will verbally threaten to defenestrate you if you even breathe at him wrong. he is 10x more violent if you bother a sleep-deprived link, too.

link cooks/eats and naps. he fr the type to stress cook, so the whole village eating a feast tonight if link feels like shit, and he'll much better after cooking and seeing everyone well-fed :) he especially likes to nap on revali, but he'll sleep on just about anything. still prefers to sleep on revali though, and will get pouty until revali gives in

revali flies around the hebra mountains when he feels unmotivated or uninspired, just to enjoy the scenery of his home. if he feels like shit, that means it's time to have a dust bath to maintain his plumage and keep himself clean. link does not understand how bathing in dust makes revali clean, but he has fleshy hylian skin so he wouldn't get it. he also does bow maintenance because if he's not in top shape, neither are his bows

what they wanted to be when they grew up

link would have wanted to stay in hateno and either be a farmer or take over his mother's equestrian training course. i think he'd be a good archery and swordsmanship teacher, too

revali probably still would have wanted to be the greatest warrior and archer of the rito, but i think he would have done well as a bard or also an archery teacher. archery teachers revalink au?

both of them love a bright sun and clear skies, especially in the brisk wind of the tabantha and hebra regions. idk how to explain it but sunny day no clouds + cold wind just hits different... perfect weather for flying or napping together :)

thoughts on their singing voice (decent? terrible? soprano? alto?)

y'all already know my thoughts on link's voice and a bit about revali's voice! i need them to sing a duet together!

they're both tenors, but link can hit alto notes in his head voice and revali usually stays in his chest voice and can go a little deeper towards baritone but he mostly has a tenor range

link's voice is sweeter and gentler, and revali's more powerful by volume and is more prone to belting

how/what they like to draw or doodle

link has one of those 'wreck this journal' books and he straight up be throwing that shit off cliffs. lowkey though, i think link would be really good at art and he would make stuff similar to jean-michel basquiat's work.

link has a whole sketchbook of things he drew throughout his journey through hyrule and he's pretty good at realism! but there are a couple of pages blacked out completely with dark scribbles and sometimes revali will wake up in the middle of the night to link sitting in the middle of their roost with the sketchbook open to one of those scribbled out pages, staring at it with blank eyes. revali doesn't ask; he just gets out of the hammock to pull link back into bed and holds him tight, singing softly until link falls back asleep.

revali is very much like fe3h edelgard in which he hides every piece of art he's ever made because he's embarrassed about not being the best at it, except link is good at finding shit and digs it up and puts it on display in their roost. revali can either only draw stick figures or he can paint something straight out of the impressionist era, there is no in between

(he likes to paint things that remind him of link, so quite a few of his paintings are shades of blue, green, and bright yellow because they're colors that remind him of link :>)

how did you get into writing fanfiction? 

I never really put much thought into it; it just sorta happened 😅

I’ve always been an avid daydreamer, and it seemed like the moment I learned how to spell and read, I started writing. It was a way to make the mental images in my mind a reality of sorts, and make them physical and real—things I could actually look at and see.

So it was the same way with fanfiction, more or less! I wanted to make the things I saw in my mind a thing I could see on a page, so I started writing :) And that’s still how it works to this day!

on a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you enjoy editing? why is that?

Hmm… I feel like I used to like editing a lot more than I do now. I’d probably give it… a 4? A 5, maybe?

Spell checking and grammar checking are easy for me, and it’s kinda fun to go through and fix little things like that :) It’s the more thought-provoking things such as reworking sentence structure, cleaning up paragraphs, and making sure the text flows together that’s much harder to figure out. I guess I don’t feel like I’m all that great of a judge when it comes to my own work; I either see a story as bad and something that can’t be fixed, or as something ground-breaking with no corrections needed. And I feel like both of those are Not Good, and don’t help me edit at all.

I’d definitely enjoy editing a lot more if I felt like I had a good grasp on what I could actually do to improve a story 😅

I don’t feel like writing 😅

I’m very much a feeler, and if I don’t feel like doing something, I’m probably not gonna do it—at least not willingly. And the same goes for writing! I absolutely love doing it, but I gotta wait until I’m in the right headspace for it, y’know? And I’m just not always in that wonderful headspace.

A headcanon, hmm… oh! Sylvie would absolutely love horror movies, and always wanna go see the new ones in theaters. Loki, on the other hand, is very much afraid and disturbed by horror (though he’ll never ever admit it, even when it becomes painfully obvious to Everyone).

She makes fun of him relentlessly, while he stubbornly denies being scared at all. She finds it equally annoying and endearing XD

Aka, Techno’s patience is tested severely and continuously when Ghostbur decides to visit XD

Their relationship is very sweet, because Ghostbur loves Techno and always wants to help him out, and Techno clearly cares about Ghostbur and wants to protect him, but at the same time… Ghostbur is definitely one to test patience XD And exploring that dynamic is super fun!

what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Hmm… I’ve definitely been sort of… morbidly interested in drowning. I’ve researched a ton on that.

Random, but morbid is a very fun word to say XD

what's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

Definitely the ones talking about the characters being in-character :D It’s pretty much my biggest fear that I’ll mischaracterize people, so hearing people say that the opposite is true is just… really great :D :D

And also the comments talking about how the story affected them!! Like, there’s been several people who have CRIED because of my fics?? Which is just insane to me. Every time I get a comment saying that I do this but with more hearts:

Dream SMP 😅 I’ve been pretty much exclusively writing fanfic for this fandom since June of last year—and the story ideas just keep coming lol

Ginger is absolutely the sweetest dog I’ve ever known; she’s a very sleepy girl who gets so very excited whenever we return home after being out for errands and such. She’ll do anything for food (especially broccoli and butter) and has yet to catch a squirrel (though she’s never stopped trying).

She’s definitely an introverted dog, and gets overwhelmed pretty easily in loud/crowded environments. She also wasn’t socialized much as a puppy, so she struggles to interact with other dogs 😭

She’s deathly afraid of hula-hoops and freaking hates baths/swimming lol

She’s the best dog ever <3 She just turned eight, and I can’t imagine what life will be like without her. She’s very special :’)

Then there is Miles (who’s currently in the bed with me as I type)

I’ve got a bit of a love-hate relationship with this boy. He’s an extremely mean cat—in fact, just a couple days ago he attacked Ginger for no reason and scratched her nose! He has it out for her (for some unknown reason. She’d never hurt a fly so I don’t know what he’s on about).

He’s also very fussy, and if he’s not fed at a specific time every day, he’ll get mad and start crying/biting/scratching XD He’s super high maintenance.

He’s… very. very lazy. He is not a skinny boy.

I don’t like him too much most of the time, but sometimes—like in the pictures shown above—he gets softer, and will come up to my bed and curl up and purr and make biscuits with his paws. He’s very very cute when he does that.

what will make you click away from a fanfiction immediately?

NSFW/sexual content, for sure. I’ve never read a smut fic and never will 😅 I’ve got no interest in that sort of thing.

As far as smaller things go, it’d be…

1) poor formatting, with big blocks of text instead of line breaks

2) mischaracteriztion. This is a big thing for me when it comes to fanfic; if you’re gonna make the characters so blatantly unrecognizable, just come up with your own characters!!

3) badddd dialogue. This is a big pet peeve of mine XD I am a lover of realistic/natural dialogue mmhmm mmhmm

hee, you and @luredin had similar brainwaves it seems, because she also started with both of these in the same order! i answered them here, but i can come up with another example for the clown: in Johnny Lawrence vs. The Computer: A Tale of BOOP (a cobra kai fic) i was definitely cackling while writing some of johnny’s internal monologue around tech. he’s canonically awful with it to the point of parody (he's never owned a computer before! he's not a nerd!), which is obviously a great starting point, and this fic is essentially about johnny (briefly) drunkenly trying to catfish daniel and then getting mad about it, while he also just doesn’t understand how anything works:

The thing that makes the internet so great and also so much worse than the real world is that everything is really impersonal. You don’t hear people talk, you don’t see their faces, and you sure as hell can’t kick their ass through a wifi. So who’s gonna know if Johnny decides to play a prank on LaRusso and pretend he’s someone else? Who’s gonna figure out he’s not Jennifer Smith, a hot single mom with really great honkers who’s looking for a strong man to sell her a car?

Johnny types the email, sends it, laughs to himself about it for a bit (LaRusso is going to look so dumb if he thinks Johnny is actually a hot single mom with great honkers) and then wakes up hungover the next day and forgets all about it.

Until his computer goes BOOP.

there’s also a bit where he feels pretty smart for knowing that his email adress has a typo in it, because even he knows it’s email, not gmail - and a reference at the end to johnny having ongoing email exchanges with “half a dozen African princes with really naïve ideas of money management” (because there’s a scene in canon where he gives his information to all kinds of spam/conspiracy websites, iirc), which is of course a very obvious joke, but i just like the idea of that a lot. everyone’s wasting their time in those interactions, and they probably all deserve it.

👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

well. for the starsky watches westerns fic i’ve recently been googling pretty cowboy hats, and it led to what’s probably going to be the first kiss scene! i keep changing the color of hutch’s hat though, so that’s yet to be decided.

also, yesterday i finally watched 1971’s zachariah, which was exciting because a) i learned i should have done that much earlier (not the painful warhol-esque experience i was dreading at all!!! honestly an almost perfect movie! and oh my god, that poster) and b) it (arguably together with blazing saddles, and maybe one or two others i still need to actually watch) throws a delicious spanner in the works for the central thesis of the fic so far, which was something like “if you’re a queercoded cowboy (in the movies), you’re probably going to end up dead (so what does that mean if i see us in them)” - and i’m sticking with that, but it’s great to be able to paint in more than one shade. (not only does zachariah not die, he gets a happy end! with his cowbff boyfriend buddy partner! after they start the movie by shOOTING A HOMOPHOBE. like i said, an almost perfect movie, and very exciting stuff to me.)

i also wrote some louise content (the guinea pig, i’m stubbornly keeping her as a part of this) that i could probably have used for the clown answer. while they’re watching red river:

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

I think anything that puts people in vulnerable situations, or situations where people willingly help others. That sort of love language is really impactful to me, I think because I struggled emotionally for so long with depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. I have a wonderful mother, and while she did her best to help me, it was definitely hard because she didn't know how to approach what I was going through. What she did do that no one else in my life did at the time was stick by me and support anything I needed to get better, which I later learned in life was such a gift. You'd think every parent would just be there for their child, but that certainly is not the case, so I very much lucked out to have a mother like her. I also ended up finding a boyfriend for a couple years who did the same for me. So anything where people don't question helping another person, regardless of what it is, really emotionally affects me. (That was long, sorry).

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

Oh, lord, I think I'm funny all the time (and told so, just to note. I'm not that vain or confident ahah), but that is not always the case through my writing. I'm much funnier in person, I promise, but with Top Gun stuff I like writing scenes where the Dagger Squad bugs each other. Like in Oh Honey, which I just posted, Rooster teasing Jake over having dreams about reader was funny to me. Or like in His Girls when reader is like 'oh yea, sorry for disappearing from your life that one time.'

Probably Signed Away, purely for the sheer amount of unnecessary drama.

I got pretty attached to the Oh, Baby world recently because I find the dad!Jake Seresin life to be really nice and not insanely dramatic like what I did in Signed Away and started doing in Beyond the Hills, so I have a few coming up for that.

octopath traveler omg omg wowee crazy

i just beat it for the first* time so let's discuss. *(i have done four playthrus of this game, 2 of which finished all stories and only this recent one beating the final boss.)

I deeply love this game.. here are my thoughts.

My favourite soundtrack of any video game ever. It's like 80 tracks and every one is one I enjoy listening to. i can't even list my favourites because it would be like... well all the character themes are great.. same with the battle/boss themes.. and most of the town themes are good too!!

boost/break system is genius and makes no battle feel like a slog or a mashfest because the optimal way to get through fights isn't to mash a, it's to be actually strategic and plan out turns. so much customization with the jobs and support skills, and there's a ton of ways to become really overpowered which is fun too.

all the protags are great and interesting!! even for the stories that I felt were weaker the characters are enjoyable to watch. even though there is barely any character interaction between the main 8 (which is THE biggest problem with the game, btw.. so much wasted potential.. :/), when it does happen in the travel/tavern banter it's always great.

it looks beautiful.. even in hindsight, after seeing the octopath 2 trailers and comparing them, n realizing that every cutscene is static camera movements.. the sprites are still detailed, locations varied... and goshdarn i love the bloom filter

yes the final boss is weirdly structured and the way you unlock it is very dumb. the fact that there is an 8-fight boss rush followed by a two phase final boss that is exponentially more difficult than anything else in the game that you have to fight using every party member and also you can't save is incredibly stupid. the fight itself is fine and stressful in a fun way, but also not a fun way because you know that if you lose you have to redo the stupid gauntlet again.

tip for playing this video game: if you want everyone to be evenly leveled by endgame: instead of everyones ch1, ch2, etc... have two completely separate teams. do 4 party members entire plots before getting the rest. this is how i did it on this playthrough and it helped spread exp and shook up the gameplay at the halfway point. makes the chapter structure of the game a little less formulaic too.

but...... theres just this indescribable charm and heart to it in the small details... being able to learn information about every npc, the character-specific transitions into the boss themes, the surprisingly detailed worldbuilding/lore, having a ton of battle voicelines where everyone says the name of their attack or says cheesy ice puns or whatever.. even though this game has many problems i can't hate it because i know there'll be something moments later that puts a big grin on my face.

so yeah. play this game or at least listen to the ost please. there is also a sequel releasing feb 24 that will probably fix most problems with this game. i'm typing this on my computer so i can't use heart emojis but pretend that there are a bunch right now. video games !!!!!

Sysmates is also cool! though headmates and alters seem a little too solid for us, and fragments feel too incomplete (though that is Core). we used to think skills was fun!! but ultimately the term doesn't describe us anymore. and recently we've been referring to ourselves as scabbards/scabbardmates!!

23. Which age group seems to be the most common in your System? We're all mostly in the 20s range, which makes sense considering how old the body is. Outliers include the Oldies, Oath (42), Harlowe (39) and Chrysanthemum (38), and little Lili who is 1-6, and Sharps who jUST TOLD US IT WAS 7. HONEY? SWEETHEART?? Songbird is 🕊️ mostly due to the name. If the bluebird emoji wasn't so fickle, we would use that, but the dove is also very pretty~

Eloquence is 🪶 because it's like writing with a feather and ink!

Self-Awareness is 🔭 because she's usually observing us from a distance and viewing us through a specific lens.

Memorandum is ��� because he's our memory keeper, and it's like keeping track of records.

the divine masculine is working on forgiving family or those closest to him who he could be very defensive to. and if not them, then he’s working on forgiving himself for feeling like he wasted abundance and energy on these people. he could feel like he was giving way too much for nothing in return and he’s learning how to sit in his own energy and use that abundance on himself instead of others. he’s definitely keeping himself away from his family or his soul tribe. he’s defensive towards someone here. very angry - but this anger is repressed. he may not know how to express or even acknowledge his anger until it comes out uncontrollably, over-flowing and perhaps causing destruction. i’m hearing that his anger is heavily linked to his ego. the suppression of one causes the suppression of another. and i’m seeing that this anger is actually just a secondary emotion to some deep emotional sadness that he acknowledges is caused by his family or the people who were supposed to care for him. he may subconsciously wish to release all of this and just cause chaos (he might be causing chaos in his life in some way without realising because of this suppression - it has to release in some way) but he covers this up by directing his energy towards some type of work. he’s working entirely too hard because his motivation for working isn’t coming from a healthy and balanced place. he’s tasked with wanting to forgive his family to a certain extent (or with forgiving a situation at least) because he feels like this is one way that he can free himself from this emotional prison, but he first has to allow himself to feel his anger to begin with. i don’t think that he’s quite yet realising that he can’t just skip the processing of his emotions and jump straight to forgiveness or just “getting over it”. he’s trying too hard to forgive. forgiveness isn’t possible right now because there’s some emotional work to be done first. there needs to be a way that he validates his anger and his deep sadness. he holds this sadness (in relation to his family) to himself extremely closely, but it’s stagnant within him. that’s probably why he has been feeling so heavy recently. i’m hearing The Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet With Butterfly Wings. “the world is a vampire, sent to drain” - he’s weighed down by a lot of angst. he’s drained af and he feels as though people are just energetically vampiric and wanting to feed off of his rage, his sadness, and his triggers. once he processes these feelings and faces them bit-by-bit, he’s going to realise that he’s becoming more and more emotionally fulfilled. he could be emotionally quite numb right now.

for pile two, the divine masculine has an extremely closed heart chakra. he still has emotions and a heart of course, but it’s like he’s encased it in artificial shit and superficialities. and of course, this is a defence mechanism. this is because he has lost a lot of faith and hope in genuine love even existing in the world - romantic and platonic. and i feel like he barely feels anything anymore. he hasn’t just blocked the external world from his heart, he has also blocked himself out from it too. he may have replaced the usage of his heart chakra with his third-eye chakra - meaning that he relies heavily on mental energy instead of emotional energy. as a result of this, i feel like he doesn’t even know what his morals and values are anymore. because those things usually come down to having empathy and sympathy for others and for living beings, of course. but when you can’t even bring yourself to feel those things for others anymore, how can a desire to follow good ethics even develop? the love that he feels like the world lacks is also the love that he lacks for himself. he’s not secure within himself. his self esteem and self worth has been damaged and maybe even destroyed by others. and i feel like this stems back from childhood. i’m surprised that i’m even able to see even a tiny bit of his heart chakra at this point, because the pain endured by him is heavy af. he knows that this cold, stoic, and unsympathetic nature isn’t truly him, but it’s pretty much how his ego has developed to protect himself. he’s realising some things about his worth currently though, and i feel like that’s igniting his faith in something again. the more that he develops love for himself, the more he’ll see love towards him reflected from his external reality. i feel like there are memories that he really holds onto that has kept the last little bit of hope that he has in love and kindness - probably from childhood too since i’m seeing the 6 of cups in my mind. his faith or belief in himself is solidifying at least. but i feel like this is quite a slow process. he’s in the process of shedding certain artificialities that are attached to his ego. but he is working on this. i’m also seeing that his sexuality could be a gateway to his heart space in some way.

ok i dont have recent art of the characters i was thinking abt at all so bear with me. i have two ocs from my very very first oc group, arthur and maria, who were always the support team and i was thinking abt them,,, so im thinking theres a whole group of people who are angels, demons, but mostly who are out of that system, living in that purgatory space, and who abel and cain work with/helped out to get out in the past...

arthur was always the scientist/mechanic one ? so im thinking that. cain n abel see that jasper is unresponsive and they bring him to that little group to find whats wrong, if theres a way to fix him, or if he's really just... a messed up experiment who has no will of his own.

so jasper spent a lot of time w that little group !!! he has a whole family............................. sobs gently

ive thought abt angel a bit (im gonna keep calling them angel i think sobs). they live inside of jasper's body heart and soul, very long blond hair, little sunshine person, tries very hard to help jasper without him being able to hear him,,, they're also most likely blind. either from something before/how they were created or spending so much time as jasper's body. no lights in there.

design differences between angel and demons :

demons have horns, typical devil tails, and typical devil wings

angels have typical angel wings, lion like tails, and a halo that isnt always here but ! it appears !

they can both fly but it's a learned skill. lena is great at it but nell is SHIT at it lmao. angel would have very tiny useless wings bc they could never fly : ( babey

also all angels and demons have a power, a way to fight when they wake up... most times it's weapon summoning (knives for nell, bow and arrow for vik, sword for titania... the list goes on) but sometimes it mutates (eden for exemple w his healing. cody has a similar mutation but im not set on it. something that looks like white fire which could be an indication of who she is lol)

the theology and the hierarchy.............................. its veeeery vague for now . basically god communicates with the higher ranks of each sides. the war started forever ago for god's favors. at first god would help the side they liked most - never using their full power or smth, but giving little help here and there, a legendary weapon, a vision of what the other side was plotting... eventually god got bored of the war and left them to their own devices, each side thinking that they were waiting for one of them to win. so they kept on with the war.

the war in itself has been in a standstill for centuries. angels and demons both go on earth to achieve some things - helping or hurting someone mostly, depending or sides and orders - and it's usually where they end up seeing each other and trying to kill on sight. its a whole aspect i havent really explored yet, and also how vik and nell meet !

the hierarchy is more of a,,,,, typical political,,,, votes and stuff,,,,,,, there's a noah equivalent on the demon side but i havent really pushed that too much yet. in the end its ok if i dont figure out all those details because it's not what interests me until i have a an actual idea :]

This week 90-day The Other way was all about co-co-nut’s and excuses-like-butts, everybody’s got one.

This week's 90-Day Other-Way episode starts out with Mrs. Debbie and Oussama heading to his parents’ house.

Debbie learns that Oussama is expecting her to give them all the details of her stay and really to explain to HIS mother most of their relationship.

Oussama warns her his mom doesn't talk much but, not to worry, he assures her has told his mom his wife-to-be is American, and of-course, that he loves her (Debbie).Debbie knows better, she realizes that Oussama is dumping all the responsibility on her, as well is probably hiding something, regardless in true Mrs. Debbie fashion, she strokes his ego the whole bumpy road home.

Oussama and Debbie arrive to Oussama’s beautiful family home. The couple are met with hugs and smiles, oddly enough Oussama tells Debbie she shall not meet his parents without a smile, so she bore one too.The group comprised of Oussama and his mom and dad, sister and Debbie. he family spoke some English which helped Debbie bond a lot and they seemed very pleasant. The mom was polite but her body language spoke a thousand words.

Cut scene to the forever un-dry. Dripping with awkward passive aggressive confrontation is Risky-Rishi and Jealous-JenJen asks why Rishi sends these types of photo to women, referencing the highly filtered, flirty and fleshy flex he sent her friend.

Rishi tried to explain it away that the photo was “for everyone” and in the same conversation he also says it was a joke. Well which is it Rishi?!

Clearly the joke’s on Jen because she’s still there at this point in the season. Rishi also offer’s his phone as is we don’t all know he wouldn’t have offered if he hadn’t recently deleted his bad-business.Jen points out she literally cannot reads any of it, as it’s all in Hindi. Jen is questioning a lot about Rishi right now, so what is she waiting for?

It seems like she wants her friends to say what she can’t.Is anyone else feeling like Jen and Jenny will be 90-years-old before they realize their Indian-hunks are a hunk-of-junk?

Randi and Myra are headed to represent Jen in what appears is going to be a 3 on 1 battle. Rishi turns from a guru to a goof. He somehow became a teen boy again, seemingly clueless about how internet communications work and what it means to send a woman a sexy-shirtless-selfie. The friends are easy on Rishi which was somewhat shocking. Thank Skanda he didn’t send Randi the eggplant emojie or he’d have some baba ganoush in his pants after this toothsome-two confront him on his half-naked shenanigans.  

Myra and Randi arrive in India, and Jen meets them for a fun ride home in an Indian auto rickshaw. The three get spat at by a passing bus, but no worries to the three they literally laughed off the disgust.

Let’s hope they have the same shake-it-off attitude when Rishi spoons them a load of his excuses and imitated willful ignorance, as we all know he’s just a perfectly tan wolf in yoga pants.

Jen, Myra and Randi get to Jen’s apartment and have a little laugh at the “burglar bars” and also the bathroom accommodations, we would expect no less. Honestly Jen’s place is the most modern and clean apartment in India we’ve seen on 90-day yet! Maybe Myra and Randi should catch up on prior episodes? It could DEFINITELY be worse.

Jen explains that an astrologer told Rishi what date to reveal their love, and the three have another laugh, scoffing at the cultural belief in the astrologer’s advice.

Again they need to watch back on Jenny and Sumit, this is not the first time we’ve heard the astrologer being the cultural norm for relationship advice.

Believe it or not, gotta respect their culture. What is not clear is the culture of lying to woman, if anything is to be revealed in tonight’s episode it’s Rishi’s ability to withstand Jen’s forces-of-friends.

The group meets for a meal, and we think this is the best look Jen has sported yet!

Rishi had so many excuses, at first he was playing with her, then he said he thought she was joking with him, then se said he felt she was inappropriate so he blocked Randi.Not sure what she did that was inappropriate, Rishi is the only one who sent half naked photos, but ok Rishi, we see you.

Jen learns at this group meal that Rishi’s parents have tried 2-3 times with different woman to get him into an arranged marriage over the last few years. Jen becomes overwhelmed and excuses herself leaving Rishi alone with the two friends.

Daniele and Yohan also brace for impact and play kick-the-coconut before Daniele leaves to plan a surprise get-together for Yohan’s birthday.

Daniele gets more validation in her whimsical ‘witchcraft’ when she and Yohan kicks an eggshell covered coconut around the house in order to “create a peaceful perimeter” around her home.  You know, instead of picking a mate that’s even remotely compatible.

We think Daniele is adorable! What’s not cute is how she puts up with Yohan’s giant child-like non-manhood which is clearly demonstrated every episode.We are beginning to find her head-in-the-sand attitude less-and-less cute as the season has gone by. This man is clearly not with her for the right reasons, and some say money troubles are to blame on why she has seemingly fled to the Dominican Republic. Could rising debt here in the States be why she is putting up with her Columbian boy-giant? Couldn’t she have left the States without putting herself through so much trouble?

With such a crumbling foundation of respect for each other, it’s just a matter of time before Daniele’s witchy-brew explodes in her teeny-tiny little face.Clearly there is something keeping her riding this dead-pony, we have some thoughts, but would love to hear from you and why you think she stays, comments below! 

Tonight is Yohan’s birthday and Daniele has promised her son-husband a romantic dinner, what he doesn’t know is she is planning a surprise birthday party… but wait, do they even have Chuck E. Cheeze in the D.R.?

Daniele and Yohan arrive to the location to find his whole family. He says he’s surprised and asks who’s idea this all was. When Daniele tells him it was her, he seems annoyed.He then makes a toast and thanks ‘god’ another year of life and that he wants to thank his family for being there.

His family is quick to remind him he forgot the main person who made the night happen, his WIFE!

When they jokingly remind him where his gratitude should be he makes a dismissive comment that he already thanked her, which he did not.

Instead of saying something like “yes, thank you so much to my wife” he just grunts and begins eating again like the brainless rhino’s butthole of a man he is.

Daniele calmly tells him how she feels after excusing herself from the table, and he has the nerve to blame her, but what did you expect him to do? Thank her?

This trans-relationship is clearly the strongest of them all this season. Gabe and Isabel visit an attorney, and Gabe finds the wedding to his dream girl could be a pipe-dream or at least massively delayed.

Gabe’s birth certificate isn’t updated and his birth certificate needs to match his identification documents or the legal union cannot commence per Columbian laws.

This woman has been patient and understanding, and her inclusive and loving family is still willing to accept Gabe into the family which makes this birth certificate problem the only barrier now to their union.

The problem is all Gabe, he didn’t keep evidence of his transition to change his birth certificate to male, and Isabel is visibly annoyed with Gabe’s lack of preparation.

The female birth certificate not matching all of Gabe’s other paperwork that says male makes it where he can’t get the marriage license processed, and thus will have no visa to stay longer.

Also, has anyone else noticed that in this episode, impressively fluent Gabe seems like he barely understands and speaks the language, is stress causing him some language-amnesia?

Is he just being humble about his fluency, because these are sensitive topic and he doesn’t want to say or understand something incorrectly? One thing is for sure, Isabel’s patience may be running thin with his sometimes chaotic fly-by-the-seam choices. Could trouble in paradise be brewing?

Gabe reveals to Isabel after the cool-down following the lawyer’s office visit, that he hasn’t told his parents about the engagement which further stresses Isabel out.Gabe is then driven to the airport by Isabel and the two part ways, Gabe is very worried he won’t be let back in due to his paperwork. Gabe seems so responsible at times so we understand Isabel’s frustration in his ill preparedness.

We want this couple to work out so bad! They seem so loving, let’s hope this separation is temporary because these-two are too-cute!

Some say this mistake is scripted, some are just disappointed in Gabe’s prior research of what he’d need to get married. What are your thoughts on Gabe and his birth certificate snafoo?

Kris rushing back to the US with a somewhat shaky reasoning, is finding a very shaky relationship with her new bride.

Kris and Jeymi have been separate for 3 months now and today they meet over video chat and Jayme drops a BOMB!

It’s been a MONTH since she has even video called with her wife, and all while Jeymi battles a potentially life-threatening virus.

Viewers can’t help but notice that Kris has both of her arms covered in a conspicuous spot (around her arm just below her elbows) and viewers suspect her inner armsis being hidden due to possible drug track marks from injections.

If you are as confused as we were, on why this is a suspicion, well we looked back and found that internet sleuths claim Kris was buying opiates at the pharmacy in Columbia. Her constant complaints of pain and that she needed to come back to get her meds has some shaking their heads in disbelief, and frankly saying some very cruel things. If this actually true (and it's hopefully not) we truly hope that Kris gets the help she needs to get well. For all the people speculating, please be kind, if this is a real addiction for her let's lift her up and get her the help she needs.

While Jeymi pours her heart out, Kris makes the excuse she hasn’t video called because she was “working” all of the time. When Jeymi seeks validation and reassurance Kris gets in a huff and then blames Jeymi.

She turns on the gas, tells Jeymi THIS is why she didn’t want to talk to her, abandons the video call on the laptop and walks away instead of just giving Jeymi the reassurance she deserves.

Before Kris runs away she illustrates she is resentful that she is working and Jeymi is not and claims that she is pressure washing, mowing lawns etc… Jeymi is tearful with Kris and Kris just looks at her stoic, then becomes agitated and stonewalls Jeymi by walking away mid convo.

Could this couple be headed to separation? It does appear their differences and Kris propensity to a chaotic lifestyle may be too much for the couple to burden this early on.We are already reading the rumblings of rumors that this couple is indeed splitsville, but we’ll just have to watch to find out!

Nicole and Mahmoud were not shown in this episode but by the looks of it they will be featured in the next episode.
