Are the aristocats coats possible? Could an all white cat (f) have a solid black (m), an orange (m) and a solid white(f) kittens?
(thanks and sorry english isn't my first or second language)
You could do a lot with them, that's for sure! Here are what the Aristocats family looks like, for those that don't know/can't remember.
Ignore O'Malley. This isn't about him.
It's possible, very possible actually, ESPECIALLY with the fact that we don't know the sire. That is a lot of creative freedom I can work with. I'll go into depth on each kitten's genetics below the cut :)
I want to have fun with this. If you know a bit about cat genetics, you'll quickly see how convoluted I make these answers because genetics are fun. Silly kitties with their silly genes and I will have FUN damnit!
Duchess's white is epistatic over everything. That means, we can really go crazy with what is under there. Eumelanin colors, red, tabby, solid, inhibitor, it can be whatever.
Therefor, I'm calling her a (technical) cryptic tortie. Below are the expressions I've decided to give her.
O/o, -/- W/w, l/l
I'll keep her black locus blank, as that will be affected by the sire. I'll be doing them last, so it'll be done last too.
Now, if you look at Berlioz, you'll notice something. He has a lighter gray stomach! That means I have to give him inhibitor at some point. You can also see this on Toulouse! However, since he is red, I'm passing it off as tabby. No inhibitor for him.
Marie is easy, so I'll just do her right now. The only note I have is that the sire HAS to be L/l in order for Marie to stay longhaired.
l/l, W/w
Onto the other kittens!
To stay as close to canon, Berlioz must have:
Black self (B/-)
Inhibitor (I/-) <- capital i
No white (w/w)
To stay as close to canon, Toulouse must have:
Red tabby (O/Y)
No white (w/w)
This means that we know EXACTLY what the sire has to have. It has to not have white, and have inhibitor. It's quite simple! However, I like to have fun.
Simple Genetics:
Duchess: l/l, O/o, B/B, W/w, i/i longhaired white (black self tortie) Unnamed Sire: L/l, o/Y, B/B, w/w, I/i shorthaired Marie: l/l, O/o, B/B, W/w, I/i longhaired white (black smoke tortoiseshell) Berlioz: L/l, o/Y, B/B, w/w, I/i shirthaired black smoke Toulouse: L/l, O/Y, B/B, w/w, i/i shorthaired red false-tabby
Now, you may be saying, "Robin, what possibly could be next? You've done all their genetics!" This is true! I just did it, however, I like to have a LOT of fun here. Fictional cats (cough. Warriors. cough) are my puppets, and I make them dance to my own rhythm.
Lets have fun with epistatic traits. Lets make these cats as far away from canon (but still technically recognizable) as possible. The world is MY oyster.
Duchess is now a longhaired cinnamon (b1/b1) self (a/a) cryptic tortie. Color-pointed (cs/c) with full white. The sire is now a shorthaired (L/l) black-silver (B/b1, I/i) tabby (A/a) with high tabby-breakage (spotted tabby).
So... onto:
Mod Robin's Funplex Cat-Genetics Note: I'm having fun. This is not accurate to real life probabilities.
Duchess: l/l, o/o, b1/b1, a/a, cs/c, W/w, i/i longhaired white (cinnamon colorpoint, carrying albinism) Unnamed Sire: L/l, o/Y, B/b1, A/a, C/c, w/w, I/i shorthaired black-silver spotted tabby (carrying albinism) Marie: l/l, o/o, B/b1, A/a, c/c, W/w, I/i longhaired albino white (black-silver spotted tabby) Berlioz: L/l, o/Y, B/b1, a/a, cs/c, w/w, I/i shorthaired smoke sealpoint (carrying albinism) Toulouse: L/l, o/Y, b1/b1, A/a, C/cs, w/w, i/i shorthaired cinnamon spotted tabby (carrying pointing)
yay! kitties :) !!!! <3333
i wrote this at 3pm and a dream okay. please tell me about any mistakes, and dont get mad at me for probability. I WILL have fun in my kitty echochamber and I WILL like it :)

Aeri Uchinaga x aespa5thmember! reader
Synopsis: you were having a Sunday off at the dorm and you were bored out of your mind when you remember Ningning’s vibrator hidden in one of her drawers. you’ve decided to have some fun, after all, but of course Giselle never knocks.
Warnings: smut? I guess. dom!giselle x sub!reader.
Word count: 3.3k
Notes: I HAVE RETURNED MY BELOVEDS. this is my first time ever writing/posting something like this… I was so embarrassed I swear to God. but I did have fun, too! I hope you like it and if there’s anything wrong pls tell me so I can fix it. I won’t check for any errors or mistakes or else I’ll just be too embarrassed and delete it all so enjoy!! luv u kisses. also i wrote vibrator bc I didn’t want to write dildo. so imagine what you will.
Pt. 1 | Pt.2 | Pt.3
-
It was a slow Sunday at the dorm. Karina and Winter had gone out shopping and Ningning was in China on one of her solo schedules, which left you and Giselle alone, all bored and tedious. You’ve been staring at your room’s ceiling (which you shared with Minjeong), for quite a while now, wondering what to do to kill off the boredom. Your mind wandered to something you remembered spotting in Ning’s room, once, when you were looking for a shirt she had borrowed ages ago. Remembering the big, bright-green toy in Ning’s drawers, you’ve impulsively decided you were done waiting for someone gross to finally fuck you; you’d do it yourself, instead.
That thought left you staring at the thing, still eyeing the vibrator suspiciously after wondering if you weren’t just too bored, and all. Surely, Ningning wouldn’t mind (or she would, but you’d by her another weird dildo if she fussed too much about you using it).
However, you had no idea of how that whole sex thing worked in practice. Sure, you’ve watched porn and listened to your bandmates ramble about their escapades, but it simply wasn’t the same. You huffed, frustrated but determined to but an end to it, after all.
“Hey, the girls were wondering if you’d like them to bring something to eat when they get ba-”Giselle stopped herself mid-sentence as she barged into your room, no doubt surprised by the sight of you with your hands down your shorts and the neon green vibrator one of your hands.
You jumped on your bed, pushing Giselle out of the bedroom as you cursed her out.
“What the fuck, unnie? Don’t you ever fucking knock? Doors are closed for reasons.”
You seriously wanted to die. And kill her. Then die and kill her again. You felt your face getting flushed with bright red as you hit your head on the door, hearing your friend’s laugh through the wood.
“Sorry, sorry. I’ll just let the girls know you’re not… hungry. For food.” Another laugh echoed, and you knocked your head stronger. “I’m sorry, ok Yn? Let me in… please?”
Giselle was met with silence, as you were still trying to figure out how to flush your head down the toilet after being caught in such a scene by one of your bandmates and best friends.
“Listen, there’s nothing wrong with getting yourself off, ok? It’s like, super natural. It’s not like we don’t masturbate, either.” She kept on talking, and you could picture her looking at her nails with her bored expression, tiny nose and monotonous voice, “In fact, I really should get a new vibrator for myself too. I feel like mine’s fucked up with the batteries or something. Although, of course I won’t get one in that hideous color like yours and-“
“Ugh, it’s not mine!” You said, giving up on ignoring the shorter girl and deleting yourself from earth. With an exasperated sigh, you pulled her by the arms, making sure to close the door well enough this time. “Just shut your fucking mouth, unnie God.” You muttered, preparing yourself to explain the whole situation to her.
(…)
“Why is it so green, though?” You questioned Giselle, turning the vibrator upside down with 2 of your fingers, almost unsure of how to manage it.
The two of you were sitting in your bed after you explained the entire idea to your friend, hoping she wouldn’t find you too pathetic. Thankfully, the only thing that truly made Giselle wrinkle her nose at was the color of the thing.
“How would I know? Ning’s weird as fuck. Maybe it’s a kink of hers or something.” Giselle scoffed, also looking a bit disgusted by the device’s bright color, and you hummed in approval.
It was very Ningning coded, indeed.
The silence after your conclusion was awkward, and you intended to give your friend an excuse to exit your room when she uttered, out of nowhere, “I could help you out, you know.”
“E-excuse me?” You gagged. This afternoon just kept getting odder and odder.
You mean, it’s not like you and Giselle weren’t close, which you were. You’ve changed, bathed and shared more intimate moments together than you could ever remember. It’s just… this was different. Very different.
“I could help you with what you… want.” She sounded almost unsure, even though she nudged you playfully. “Come on, it’s not like you know anything in practice.”
“No need to flatter yourself, huh.”
“I’m just saying,” she continued, ignoring your bitter tone, “that I could make you feel good. And that’s what you want, right? I mean, that’s what sex is about anyway.”
You were still not fully convinced, but you were eyeing her more attentively now. Sensing you were almost giving in, she plucked one of your locks out of your face. “It’s really not the big of a deal you think it is, Yn. It’s just sex, and we’re friends. Right?”
“...Yeah, right.”
This was obviously a stupid, impulsive, brainless idea, to have sex for the first time with one of your bandmates. While your other bandmates weren’t home.
You took a deep breath, nudging Giselle back and laughing as she looses balance and almost falls from your bed.
“Fine. Let’s do it, then.”
(…)
“So... should I just put it in?”
“What? No!” Giselle looks at you with big eyes, giggling a little. She stopped when you kept on staring at her, now realizing you were serious about not knowing how to do this. She took the toy from your hands before frowning at it, then sizing you up. “Well, not at first, at least. You’re not even wet. This way it won’t fit, and it will be too painful.”
“It’ll be painful anyway.” you grumbled, allowing her to spread your legs to place herself between them. Aeri massages your thighs before giving them a gentle squeeze.
“Not really, no.” she can tell you’re nervous by the way your eyes never meet hers, and you keep twitching as if to fight the urge to close your legs and dress yourself. “It might be uncomfortable at first, but then it’s like... a nice kind of discomfort.” her fingers tease the hem of your shorts, lightly brushing your abdomen. Ever since she’s caught you in your room and offered to help, Giselle has been nothing but patient. “You don’t have to do it, though.” she reminds you, still caressing your body. “There’s nothing wrong with being a virgin and-“
“I-“ you took a deep breath, finally gathering enough courage to stand on your elbows and look at her, although you still sounded unsure. “I do want to do it. I’m just ashamed, I guess. You can admit that it’s a bit pathetic, no problem.”
Giselle giggled again, this time with her fingers accompanying her light posture are they ran through your body, picking on your waist and poking your ribs in the places she knows you feel ticklish the most. You laugh and try to squirm under her touch — you’re taller, much taller, but she is stronger, so she quickly strands you entirely, hands locking your wrists up in your head so you couldn’t move or try to get on top of her.
“Hey, no fair! Let me go!” you plead, but your laughter and the weak way you try to run from her is all Giselle needs to know her mission has succeeded: you’re way less tense now.
“You’re so cute, Yn. it’s adorable, really.” she says, kissing each of your cheeks repeatedly. You try your best not to blush.
Even though you were the group’s maknae, you weren’t often reckoned as such, with your height making you impose and usually not the cute girl type. You didn’t mind it, either; you’d rather jump off a bridge than do aegyo anyway.
One of Giselle’s hands let go of your wrists to make its way down your abdomen again, though the other one kept holding you in place. Her featherlight touches still made you squirm, but she held you with such care, you couldn’t help but to feel safe.
“Is it ok if I take this off?” she asked, gripping at your panties as she scanned you for any reservations. You tensed again, but as you opened your mouth to say it was ok, she cut you, “it’s ok, then. We’ll just push it to the sides.”
Giselle knew how insecure you were about your body. The girls were always teasing you and karina for wearing the clothes with most fabric, and you often laughed about it. It was only now, in your newest comeback, that you were beginning to try new things and riskier, revealing outfits. She never understood it, though. You were praised by numerous knetz about your body; how toned, and athletic you were, with your long legs and gracious arms, fit for a supermodel. Which you have been since your teens, for a fact. The company had recently signed you off with Valentino and you were absolutely outstanding walking in Paris Fashion Week, which Karina had also attended, though not as a model. She did try her best to always praise how beautiful you were, though, to make sure you knew it.
True to her word, Aeri tapped your hips, and you raised them as she slipped your shorts past your legs and threw them on your bedroom floor. Your panties were pushed to the sides, as promised, but before her fingers could reach your pussy, the older girl lifted herself up from between your thighs, a slight frown on her face.
“What’s wrong, Unnie?” You asked her, looking for any signs of trouble in her yourself. Did you do anything wrong? Should you touch her, too? Does she even want to be touched? Fuck, you were so bad at this. Perhaps if you were any bolder, you would’ve gotten laid already and wouldn’t be in this pathetic situati-
“It’s all ok, Yn-,” Giselle reassured you, squeezing your hips to snap yourself away from your thoughts and back to her, to this. Now that you noticed it, she was gripping each of your thighs with her hands, and her face was too close to your core. Too fucking close. You felt your face get hot and a familiar sensation build up on your lower abdomen. (You weren’t a total prude, of course you’ve touched yourself before, even if it wasn’t often.). “I think my fingers will hurt you if we do them now, though. But don’t worry, I’ll prep you up.”
“What do you mean with prepping me u-oh fuck,” you drop your head on the bedside as she finally gave your pussy a long lick, delighting herself as she saw how responsive you were. Smaller, quieter ones followed, and soon the older girl was nearly making out with her dripping cunt.
You bit your lip, trying not to make any noise, but soon your bandmate’s fingers brushed your lips, forcing their way in.
“Don’t silence yourself,” she told you, watching you suck on her thumb so prettily. It made her so aroused to see how good you were at this. At following commands—her commands. It made Giselle want to rip the rest of your clothes and take you until you were crying for her to let go of you. “It will feel better if you let the sounds out, trust me.” She cupped your jaw before going back to eating you out, so you did as told, not bothering to hide how good this was making you feel at all.
“Ok...” you mumbled, moaning loudly as she teased you with her mouth. You arched your back whenever Aeri slipped her tongue into your dripping cunt, her nose brushing against your clit. The friction it made was out of this world, and you felt the waves of pleasure building up slowly but deliciously to create an entirely new feeling.
“Is it good?” She asked, her hot breath on clit before she gave it a light suck. You nodded, “Tell me.”
“S’too good, oh fuck.” You managed to answer her, breathless. One of your hands grabbed her hair, and you tried to shove her face even deeper into your pussy, but it made Giselle stop instead. You rolled your eyes at her. She was too bossy. “Sorry, unnie. More, please?” You were rewarded, then, as Giselle’s attention went back to your clit, circling it hard and fast as her hands pulled on your panties with enough strength to rip it off.
She grabbed your thighs and gave your clit a hard suck, making you almost scream. You cried loudly as you were hit by a hard wave of pleasure, with Giselle still licking you through your high, her eyes trained on your frame.
She got up and made her way up to you, promptly kissing you with her lips smeared with your juices. “Next time, tell me when you’re close, ok?” She asked, brushing some strands of hair out of your face. You nodded, still brushing her lips.
You could feel her hands in the hem of your hoodie and your shirt, and she stopped the kiss to gesture for you to get your arms up, which you did. Soon you were bare to her, a bit shy from the way her eyes were darkened and she stared at your chest with such lust. You tried to cover yourself, but Giselle was quick to replace your hands with hers instead, cupping your breasts eagerly.
“So pretty, Yn...” she said, and soon you two were making out again, with you on her lap. Your brain had long been reduced to mush and your sole focus was on Giselle: the way her hair was perfectly in place, hands running through all your body.
She was painfully clothed, though, you noticed. A clear contrast to your exposure. You told her just that, trying to get off of her so she’d undress too, but you weren’t allowed.
“Of course I am, silly.” She smiled at you, “This isn’t about me anyways.” And as she reached for you once again, you couldn’t find much strength to be bothered enough to argue, too busy with her kisses and touches. You couldn’t muster how long the two of you spent like that, just exploring each other’s bodies, but it was long enough for you to feel the heat building up on your core a second time, making you worry you were making a mess on Giselle’s thigh.
You tensed when you felt her fingers brushing your entrance, not quite entering but teasing, gathering your slick before going up on your clit, circling it for a few times then presenting themselves again on your pussy.
“Shh, it’s ok,” she cooed, placing wet kisses on your neck. She gently sucked on your pulse point, making you drop your head and moan embarrassingly loud. Thank God the girls were out. “It’s just one finger. You’ve taken fingers before, right?”
You shook your head, whining when you felt it enter you. It burned a little, and it was clearly too tight, but you already felt your entire body burning up. It was too good to stop. She stopped the work on your neck to stare at you, and you saw her eyes darken.
“No fingers? Not even yours?” She gripped your thighs harder, urging you to answer, but you were too busy rocking yourself against her hand to create more friction, anything to deepen this feeling that was already so, so good, “Answer me when I talk to you, yn.” Giselle’s tone was harsh, and you flinched a little. She curled another finger inside you, making you rock yourself onto her faster.
“It d-didn’t do anything when I did it by myself before, so I would just p-play with my clit until I came-oh God.” You squeezed your eyes as she added a second finger, increasing her rhythm.
She was breathless, too, you noticed as she kissed your chest, pinching your nipples and sucking on your breasts without caring if it was messy.
“Fuck, yn. You’ll drive me fucking insane” she murmured. You couldn’t even answer, reduced into a pool of cries and whimpers, but it just felt so good it made you want to cry. How could you have gone so long without it?
Giselle’s grip on you was strong, whether it was in your arms, hips, or thighs, and it would surely bruise later, but you didn’t care a single bit. All you wanted was for her to go harder and faster, not stopping.
“Unnie, please.” You pleaded, searching for her lips as you kissed her sloppily. “More, please, please, ah...” now you were deeply thankful that jimin and minjeong were out. There was no way your moans weren’t being echoed through the entire dorm.
It didn’t matter, though, because your cries rewarded you with an even faster pace, and the pain of being stretched as now only a reminder of the combo of sensations you were feeling.
“You’re such a mess right now, yn.” Giselle told you, her hands on your hips to keep you grinding on her without losing the fast pace. “So, so pretty.” She praised, pecking your lips.
You got shy, hiding your face in the crook of her neck to keep her from noticing how much that aroused you, feeling the familiar heat gathering in your belly.
“Aeri stop, I-I’m gonna,” you motioned to stop, but she only gripped you tighter.
“It’s ok, baby, don’t stop. Come for me.” She commanded, working her fingers even faster as she added her thumb to your clit and circled it fast. With a few strokes, you came.
Your vision went black, and you felt your body go numb, almost as though there were a million fireworks exploding inside of you. You felt Giselle’s hand on your back, tracing light circles as she held you close, still snuggled to her. You took your time evening your breaths, and a few minutes passed until you felt strong enough to get out of her lap and lay in bed, staring at her attentively.
“That was...” you didn’t even know what to say. “Amazing. I’ve never felt anything like it before.” You told Aeri, meeting her gaze.
She licked her fingers clean, the ones who were buried deep inside you just a few moments ago, letting them go with an audible ‘pop’.
“You did very good, baby.” She said, hugging you gently. “I’m glad you liked it. I told you it was good.”
“I guess.” You murmured, closing your eyes for a few seconds. It had been intense, but now you felt like a big-ass truck had run over you multiple times.
The sound of the shower being turned on made you open your eyes again, seeing Aeri besides you, a glass of cold water in your hands.
“Here, take it,” she motioned to you, who complied immediately, drinking it all pretty fast. “How about you take a bath now, huh? The girls might be back anytime.” You nodded, not wanting them to see you like that, and you took the hand Giselle offered to get up and go to the bathroom.
You did see something green displayed on the ground when you’ve reached your bathroom door, though, and you laughed a little to yourself.
“Unnie?”
“Yeah, Yn?”
“We didn’t even use the vibrator.” You pointed it out, seeing Aeri’s big smirk. The girl’s mouth opened in a fake motion as she grabbed it, taking it out of the room with her.
“I guess we forgot. We’ll have to save it for next time, then.” She winked at you, leaving you to shower alone.
Giselle would be caught dead if she wasn’t going to corrupt you all to herself.

summary: you and Kenan navigate the challenges of parenthood during a doctor’s appointment
warnings: a toddler with a snail😰🙁, pregnancy??
author’s note: let’s ignore my german skills and all mistakes because this was rushed (repost bc everything got taken down?🔥💔)
The sun beamed brightly overhead, illuminating the neighborhood as you strolled down the sidewalk, your hand intertwined with Kenan's—Your toddler, Miray, was in a cheerful mood, his little legs carrying him forward with boundless energy.
The cold breeze was a welcome embrace, a rare gem of a day as you approached your doctor's appointment.
At the moment, it felt like a small victory— despite the growing heaviness of your pregnancy as you neared the 40 weeks mark.
“Look, Baba!” Miray exclaimed, pointing excitedly at the ground. He had spotted a snail slowly making its way across the sidewalk, its shell glistening in the sunlight.
Kenan chuckled, a mix of amusement and pride swelling in his chest as he watched Miray crouch down to get a closer look. “It’s just a snail, buddy,” he said, kneeling beside him. “But I guess it is pretty cool, huh?”
Miray nodded vigorously, his eyes wide with fascination. “I keep it!” he declared, reaching out to pick it up.
You smiled, enjoying the moment but also glancing at your watch— adjusting your stance as the heaviness of your swollen abdomen affected your back. “We should get going soon, love. We don’t want to be late.”
Kenan glanced at you, then back at Miray. “Come on, little guy,” he said, trying to keep his tone light. “We need to get to the doctor. Let’s say goodbye to Mr. Snail.”
“No!” Miray protested, clinging to the snail as if it were the most precious thing in the world. His tiny fingers wrapped around the slimy creature, and he pouted.
“Miray, come on! We can’t keep the snail. It needs to go back home,” Kenan explained, trying to remain patient, but the tension was palpable.
“Miray, we’re going to be late!” Kenan said, his voice rising slightly as he gently lifted Miray off the ground, still trying to keep calm.
Miray wriggled in Kenan’s arms, tears welling in his eyes. “Baba, no!” he sobbed, reaching out toward the snail, his little heart breaking at the thought of leaving it behind.
He walked over to a nearby patch of grass and set Miray down, hoping the little distraction would help.
But as soon as his feet hit the ground, Miray took off, sprinting back to the snail like it was the most important thing in the world.
“Bist du okay in deinem Kopf?” He muttered in german, watching the little boy cradle the tiny snail with utmost care. (are you okay in your head?)
Kenan sighed, exasperated yet secretly amused by how serious his son took his newfound friend.
“Baba!” Miray shouted, squatting down again, his face lighting up as he reached for the snail.
Kenan pinched the bridge of his nose, fighting a smile. “Hadi gel Miraynım,” he said softly, trying to stay patient and calm, crouching beside him to pick him up again.
“We need to go, okay? Just for a little while, and then we can see the snail again.” (let’s go/come on)
“Baba no!” Miray shouts out, sobbing on his dad’s shoulder, his little legs kicking around in protest.
‘Miray- wir werden spät!” Kenan scolds him, tightening his hold, but kenan’s harsh tone only seemed to stress the little boy out even more. (Miray, we’re gonna be late/we will be late)
“It’s okay, buddy,” Kenan soothed, patting his back— the guilt clashing down, he couldn’t stay mad at Miray for long.
“You can have it later. I promise.” But as they made their way down the street, there was a small, familiar glint in Miray’s hand—a shiny, little snail shell peeking out from his fist.
;;
Finally, after a few moments of walking, they arrived at the doctor’s office, and Miray’s sobs began to quiet as he caught sight of the colorful waiting room.
“Okay, buddy, let’s go inside,” Kenan said, leading the way. As you entered, the receptionist smiled warmly, and the doctor, a kindly older gentleman, greeted you all.
“Ah, the Yıldız family! How lovely to see you,” the doctor said, extending his hand for a shake. But as he bent down to greet Miray, he froze, his eyes widening in surprise.
Miray held out his hand, palm up, revealing the slimy snail that he had sneakily managed to carry with him.
“Snail!” he announced proudly, completely oblivious to the bewilderment of the adults around him.
The doctor chuckled, clearly amused. “Well, hello there, little guy! Nice to meet you!”
You and Kenan exchanged glances, unable to contain your laughter. It was just another day in the life of your little family—full of surprises, challenges, and, most importantly, love.

- incoming message: "saera <3: are you ditching at the last minute?"
the screen read.
oppening the door to the hall in which everyone was already sat, you made your way into the room as quietly and as quickly as possible. and with your eyes scanning around in an attempt to spot your usual group of friends, a wave of relief washed over you upon finally spotting them.
"finally! was almost certain you won't be showing up." your friend, saera, muttered under her breath and pulled you to sit closer by her side.
"why wouldn't I?" you scoffed at first, but continued with a more serious tone upon seeing the concerned look her face held, "I'm sorry, I... got distracted."
"distracted?" her brow rose in a stern question, before slowly shaking her head in defeat. "right. seriously though, if you feel like it's too much just say the word and we'll leave."
"no, I'll leave and you'll stay and have all the fun here. I won't let my messed up past ruin this for you too." you argued.
"hey-!"
"I'm fine, I promise. I wouldn't be here if I weren't. we need to drop this topic now." you took her hands in yours, looking into her eyes with a serious expression, and she silently nodded her head after a few seconds. you smiled at her in thanks before turning to greet Jimin and Jisung, your other friends from work who were sitting right behind the two of you.
"how are you boys doing?"
"I'd be better if it weren't for this ridiculous dress code we had to follow." Jisung pointed to the pink hat he was wearing with a frown. Soyoon, the bride and your dearest friend, had insisted on setting a dress code for all the guests. everyone had to wear anything as long as it's not black - "black is boring! this is a wedding! MY wedding!" - or crazy-colorful, along with a special piece - a pink hat or a pink hair clip. something pink, you do you.
no one understood this weird dress code, yet no one dared to complain, simply trying to style their options as best as they could. and in her defense, sweet, typical Soyoon said she wanted to play around and test her guests for fun.
"talking as if you wouldn't wear the most ridiculous looking outfits on random work days all in the name of fashion." jimin chimed in to tease the other whining man, making saera laugh. the room fell silent, and the ceremony began shortly after they started their usual bickering war of words.
in your honest opinion, Soyoon was a very gorgeous woman. she was always well presented and beautiful. however, as she stood before the crowd with her smile so big and radiant, she looked like a literal princess. you stared at your best friend in pure awe because you're genuinely happy for her. so, so happy. and you ignored the feeling that weighted down on your heart as your mind clung back to the day you wore your own white gown and your own veil, all to cherish this precious moment. to celebrate with your loved ones.
just like that, the vows were pronounced and the husband kissed his bride. cheers and claps filled the room, and everyone moved to congratulate the newly wedded lovers. yet the party is still very young.
you stood aside for a while, allowing yourself to drink in the beautiful sight of pure happiness and love, reminding yourself that the world is still moving even though you were busy being stuck in the past. you observed until the tornado that's been brewing in your chest grew violent before walking out of the scene, out and towards the small lake situated not far away from the building.
it's been exactly eight months and a couple of days since you've stood in front of your own wedding venue. eight-going-nine months since you got your heart broken.
maybe you were just a coward, too scared to face your own emotions, but it's not like you chose not to attend one all this time. you just couldn't. no matter how hard you tried to overcome the pain, the wound was still so fresh, and it only seemed to be getting bigger than you, swallowing you alive.
the pain of seeing the person you were so bewitched by, to whom you were ready to spend the rest of your life being committed, the one you loved with your entire heart inside some random room in the same venue the two of you chose to finally celebrate your love, all pressed up against the wall with another woman. kissing and doing things you decided not to even attempt to think about or recall.
at the time, it took you a good five minutes to get yourself together, to look closely to confirm that what you saw was indeed real and not just some messed up image your pre-wedding anxiety was trying to print into your brain, before sprinting out of the building and running far, far away from everything. running despite your legs feeling like they could explode at any given moment. you ran until you reached an empty unknown, crouching down and spilling your heart through your eyes and across your cold cheeks as you cried and cried and cried with the wind slapping against your skin.
from then on, you could never attend a wedding. no matter who the loved one was to you, you just couldn't bring yourself to do it. all you could do was smile apologetically as you politely rejected their invitation. and they understood because they knew.
eight months and there you were. numb body sitting on a bench, with a little cigarette between a thumb and an index, pulling and exhaling every now and then as you let the calm of the lake and the green of the grass, along with the color of the flowers do their favorite game of soothing your heart.
part of you wished you were the smoke that rose and flourished in the sky, giving its weight and color up to become one with the wind.
"not a fan of parties too?" a voice that sounded concerned, but very timid and gentle, broke the silence. almost like it was too ashamed of announcing its own presence. and if its deepness startled you, you didn't let it show. Instead, you lifted your head and saw a man standing close by, with his hands tucked into the pockets of his dark blue trousers and head tilted slightly in question.
"mind if i join you?" the sight of him scratching the nape of his neck with an awkward smile triggered your own smile, but you really weren't in the mood, so you wordlessly nodded towards the empty spot next to you and he didn't comment on that.
"it's more about the event itself rather than the crowd." you took a cigarette out of your purse and extended it to the pale skinned man.
"well, then we're not as similar as I assumed. and for that, I apologize." he mused, accepting your offer with a smile. you watch as he put it between his lips and leaned in towards the lighter you held out for him. "thanks" he nodded, taking a long pull and sighing as he breathed out and goaned in satisfaction.
you didn't know what to say, how to lay it out to him. in fact, you weren't even sure if you should let him know. after all, he was a stranger that you've never seen before. but your heart squeezed with a sudden need to talk, to explain why and how you were so messed up, while your brains insisted no.
you shook your head with a sigh, trying to think of something to say when the man caught you off guard with a question, "do you like playing UNO?"
snapping your head towaards him, you saw him holding a box of UNO cards, waving it slightly and proudly showing it off to you with a smile, and you couldn't help but giggle at that.
"why did you carry UNO cards with you to a wedding?" he chuckled with a shrug before sheepishly admitting that he bought it as a gift for his little niece.
"do you want to play, yes or no?" he smirked and narrowed his eyes in a teasing manner.
"gosh. open it already."
he does as he's told, scooting a little farther than you to make a little space in which the two of you started playing the silly little game.
"how do you know Soyoon?" the man wondered aloud.
"she's my best friend slash co-worker. what about you?"
"her brother, yoongi." he simply answered. you knew Soyoon had a brother before, but you never got to meet or even ask about him.
"it's an honor to finally meet you, then. I'm ___."
"i know you, soyoon talked about you and a couple of other friends before." yoongi smiled shyly, everting his eyes to focus back on the game.
"you seem pretty good at this, wasn't expecting that, to be honest." yoongi hummed at your teasing comment, picking a card, a plus two card, when it was his turn and putting it atop the pilled up ones in the middle. "glad you're having fun. I was afraid you would stick to your frown for the rest of the ceremony and never show us your cute smile."
heat rushed through your face, tinting your cheeks as his words, along with his slick move and the smirk on his face settle in your head.
"you didn't seem happy." he explained further, locking his eyes with yours, and you cleared your throat in an attempt to brush your brush off and continued to play.
"I don't really fancy weddings." you said.
"understandable. I don't fancy parties and public places either."
"yeah, but your circumstances are probably very different from mine."
he snorts "social anxiety is social anxiety."
"did you get your heart broken from an ex fiancé, soon-to-be husband like i did?" you failed to fight the bite in your tone, and your face hardened for a moment before softening again when he didn't respond with anything.
"sorry about that." you apologized.
"it's fine." he smiled.
your little bubble was popped open when a feminine voice called out your name, saera was waving for you to come over. you let out a small "oh" and faced yoongi who scrunched his nose in response, "guess the game's over." he stood up and offered his hand for you.
"for now," you noted, taking his hand and standing up as well, "we still didn't see who's the winner."
for a brief moment, you looked down at the cards you were still holding in your other hand, and then met his eyes again, "it was a lovely game can't wait to see again and beat you at last."
you could feel your hands shaking slightly, hesitating before extending a reverse card towards him with a shy smile. yoongi stared dumbfoundedly at first, then took the card with an equally shy smile.
"I'll be eagerly waiting, then."
you two started towards the building, with you taking rushed steps thanks to the way saera's been signaling for you to hurry up! and you didn't miss her little smirk when you finally reached her, nor the way she discreetly tilted her head towards the other man who was still a few steps far behind.
"I've seen a lot, but playing card games as a first interaction in a ceremony is quite new to me." she linked her arm with yours and guided you towards the main hall, where everyone was still chatting and enjoying their time.
"the party's ending, let's go say bye to the bride!" you ignored her comment with a cheer.
"my girls!" soyoon greeted with her arms open wide for the two of you.
"our beautiful, beautiful bride!" and saera cheered just with an equal amount of joy.
the bride pulled away to look at you with a grateful smile, "thank you so much for being here."
"oh please, did you expect me to really ditch your special day because of some stupid past drama?!" you scoffed.
"I know how hard it's been for you, my dear. I'm so glad you're here."
"it's really nothing." you insist.
"yeah, she was having fun with your brother out there, don't worry about her." saera winked with a mischievous smile, which pulled a gasp from soyoon, startled.
"wait what?!"
"oh my god. stop, you two. we just talked a little bit. I've never got to meet him before." you whined.
"neither did I!" saera fired back.
"well, I'm not gonna lie, you two are a good material." soyoon smirked and giggled with saera. both of them always loved to tease you.
"I'm leaving!"
"don't forget, we're having a sleepover this weekend!" you roll your eyes at saera before bidding you goodbye, hugging the girls one last time and leaving with a weirdly much lighter heart.

“driving me crazy”
eddie roundtree x fem!reader
you and eddie have never gotten along. is it because you hate each other, or is it because you’re both to proud to admit something?
enemies to lovers😏😏 also idk how long this is bc tumblr doesn’t have a word count smh but it is longer than my other stuff
warning: making out at the end (spoiler lol), suggestive
part 2
EDDIE: Y/n, man. That woman is no joke. We hated each other, at least for a while.
Y/N: He was always such an ass to me. Eddie, I mean. I really hated him. (pause) Until I didn’t.
The burning hatred Eddie felt for you started the day you auditioned for the band. Chuck had just left for school, and Eddie wanted to move from rhythm guitar to bass.
Like always, Billy shut down his request and decided to let people audition for the position. In his words, he wanted someone to “earn it.”
Eddie was already irritated from seeing Billy act like the previous performances were better than what he could do, so you can imagine how he felt when one actually was.
The last audition of the day. You strode up the driveway, big sunglasses over your eyes, sporting jeans and a tight tank top, but definitely not a smile.
Eddie just knew. There was no way he was getting that spot. Your playing didn’t even shock him. Of course, it was fantastic. Just great.
After that, it was all cold stares and angry glares. He wanted to make it very clear that he didn’t like you. He made a considerable effort to stay out of your way. He wouldn’t speak to you, look at you, or even think about you. Well, he tried very hard not to.
One night, a few weeks after your admission, you fell into step with him as he walked home after a rehearsal that ran long. He was moderately surprised by this and figured you would go away if he just ignored you.
You didn’t. You pulled out a cigarette and placed it between your lips. “Have a light?” you asked.
He furrowed his brows, trying to figure out what you were doing. After a moment, he nodded, pulled out his lighter, and lit your cigarette.
“Thanks,” you said. “So, is there any reason why you hate being around me?”
He was so taken aback that he stopped walking. “Sorry?”
You looked at him from over your sunglasses. It made him sort of angry that you were wearing them at nine p.m. when it was pitch black.
“You gonna answer the question?”
“Yes, there are many reasons.” Bullshit. There was only one and, honestly, it wasn’t a very solid one.
You said nothing and walked back up to him, removing the cigarette from your mouth and putting it out on his denim jacket, burning the material.
Eddie was more bewildered than mad when you pushed the glasses to the top of your head and smiled at him like you’d just done him a very nice favor. He never noticed your eye color before then, or how it looked in the moonlight.
“By the way, that jacket really reminds me of Billy.”
Okay, now he knew he was mad. He struggled to come up with a comeback and just moved his mouth in a stupid way that made you laugh when you left him standing there.
EDDIE: She knew exactly what she was doing. She’s always been good at that, making me mad on purpose.
Y/N: It was really funny. He doesn’t think so, but I was laughing about that for days.
The two of you continued throwing insults at each other for the months leading up to LA. Eddie’s favorite thing to do was comment on every mistake you made, much to everyone’s dismay.
He was just jealous of your abilities and, deep down, he admired them. You always knew just what to say back to him, adding unnecessary fuel to the fire.
More than once Billy had to yell at you to stop fighting. You both would resort to sending each other hateful looks and crude hand gestures for the rest of practice.
Driving to California was the real hell. Being cooped up in that van with Eddie for that long made you restless.
If it weren’t for Camila holding you back, there would’ve been several times where you launched yourself at him.
It was so nice to have another girl around. Camila was a good mediator for the two of you. You missed that when you went on tour.
Karen also knew how to break up a fight, but sometimes she would let you hash it out for the fun of it. Not like you minded, she probably knew how much fun you had while messing with Eddie.
Soon enough, things went downhill. Camila had the baby, which was good. Julia was such a sweet baby. Billy went to rehab, which was also good, for him and his family, but bad for the band.
The tour was canceled. A lot of money was lost. It was not a very fun time.
You sympathized with Billy. He had been going through a lot, and you understood how hard it was for somebody to recover from that level of drug abuse. Addiction was a gene that seemed to run in your family, with your mother being absent for most of your life and your father having to pick up the pieces.
Billy and Camila were the only people who knew about it. You didn’t think the others needed to know when none of them could relate to your situation.
Eddie didn’t understand. He went on and on about how bad of a guy Billy was. It made you furious the way he implied that Camila should leave him.
The rest of your fights were petty compared to the one you had on the day Billy got out of rehab. Eddie started complaining about Billy’s nerve or something along those lines. You flipped out. You told him he had no idea what he was talking about and stormed out of the room.
That shut him up. He stared blankly at the door you just walked out of and thanked God that it had only been the two of you in the room before.
He was relieved that no one else heard what he said because realized he was being childish. Even though he hated Billy he should still be proud of what he overcame.
He rushed out of the room to find you locked in the bathroom. He knocked once, twice, three times before a sharp, “What?” came from the other side of the door.
“Y/n, come out and let me talk to you.”
He heard your muffled scoff. “You’ve said enough.”
“I want to apologize.”
He couldn’t see it, but your eyebrows rose involuntarily. You undid the lock and opened the door. Your arms were folded over your chest as you nodded at him. “Keep going.”
“I’m sorry I said all that crap about Billy. It’s been a rough time for him. For all of us,” he said, sounding genuine.
This was shocking to you. He had never apologized to you for anything he said, even if it happened to be cruel and borderline disrespectful. He had this vulnerable look on his face that made you feel like you could tell him things.
“I’m not just upset about Billy,” you admitted. “This whole thing just reminds me of my life growing up. You don’t know this about me, but my mom was not the best at, well, being a mom. Unlike Billy, family wasn’t enough to pull her out.”
You weren’t sure what he was going to say. Then, he said nothing and pulled you close to his chest. His arms were around your shoulders, and you hesitated to hug him back.
He smelled of pine, and you couldn’t stop yourself from inhaling his scent. You stayed like that for a few minutes, until you heard the front door open and sprang apart.
Warren and Graham announced their arrival, and Eddie cleared his throat before joining them in the kitchen. Now it was you who stood alone in bewilderment.
EDDIE: This girl that hated me was trusting me with something, and I didn’t even know why. That was the first time I saw her for the woman she was, and not for the competition she used to be. As it turns out, I didn’t really hate that woman.
After that debacle, things were kind of weird between you and Eddie. He would still act like a dick, but in a different way.
Instead of, “Wow, could you be any worse at this?” he would say, “Wow, could you look any hotter right now?” He used the same douchebag tone for each, but his comments became flirtatious as time went on.
You usually had a witty retort to fire back at him, but there were some times that his words left you flustered and unable to think properly.
Karen noticed this first, giving you a questioning look from the other side of the studio. You waved her off and rolled your eyes at the thought of Eddie seriously flirting with you.
Warren and Graham caught on next, teasing him about it whenever they got the chance. He denied all allegations of being into you.
You refused to acknowledge Camila’s allegations either. The dynamic you shared with him now was different, but you kind of liked it. You would never admit it though, wanting to keep up the illusion that you still hated his guts.
Eddie walked into the kitchen and grabbed a muffin from the table you sat at. “Morning, smokeshow.” He smirked as he looked back at you from over his shoulder while crossing the room to the fridge.
“Shut up, Eddie,” you said with a mouth full of cereal. Shamefully, you felt heat climb into your cheeks.
He snickered as he sat down across from you. “Really? That’s all you got?”
You swallowed your food and glared at him. “Give me a break. It’s eight in the morning.”
He gave you his signature smile before flipping through the magazine on the table. Karen walked into the kitchen and sent you a knowing look once she saw you and Eddie being civil.
She made her own breakfast, and took Eddie’s seat when he left. “So, anything interesting happen recently?”
“Besides having a hit single, not much. I do really like that Daisy girl, though.”
Karen stared at you blankly. “You know what I’m talking about.”
You placed your fingers to your temples and closed your eyes. “I sense something brewing between Karen Karen and Graham the Man. Nothing else between any other band members, so it would be pointless to ask.”
She laughed. “I sense nothing of the sort. I’m letting Camila deal with you. I just can’t anymore.”
Y/N: Looking back on it, we were pretty insufferable.
With Billy and Daisy writing songs by themselves, you and the others had some time to kill. Karen and Graham were off at the beach while you hung back with Warren and Eddie.
They really loved Rollerball. Either that or they were really high. You were willing to bet on the latter.
By the third showing, you didn’t fail to notice how close Eddie had gotten to you. His arm brushed against yours, and he leaned his head close to yours.
You shifted uncomfortably in your seat, moving away from him and bringing your arm off of the armrest.
He frowned and folded his arms over his chest. Both of you knew something just happened, but refused to acknowledge it. The tension in the air was thick.
Once back at the house, you went to your room immediately. You planned on calling Camila and bothering her with questions about what all these shenanigans with Eddie mean.
What you didn’t expect was Eddie following you into your room and closing the door behind him.
You glanced up from the phone. “What are you doing? Get out, I’m busy.”
The phone rang twice before Camila picked up. “What are we?” Eddie asked. You hung up before she could get a word out.
“What are you talking about?”
He looked more annoyed than he did angry, but the tone of his voice suggested otherwise. “Well, one second you’re rubbing up against me in a movie theater and the other you’re acting all pissed about it.”
You physically cringed. “‘Rubbing up against you?’ That is not what happened.”
“Then what about all those times you tell me I’m hot, huh?”
“You’re the one who initiates that!” you said exasperatedly. “All I do is respond. If you’re trying to insinuate that I flirt with you, then that’s all you.”
He marched up to you until he was mere feet away. “You’re so hot and cold that it drives me insane. Do you want me or not?”
Your eyes narrowed. “Pretty bold of you to assume I would want you.”
He made a wild gesture with his hands and ran one over his face. “You’re exhausting. You make me so mad, and I hate that I like you.”
“Shut up, you don’t like me. We hate each other.”
“Oh, my God, you don’t get it.” He pinched the bridge of his nose with two fingers. “I think about you. All the time. When I see a stupid joke in a magazine, I think of you. When I hear a John Denver song, I think of you. You drive me fucking crazy, Y/n! People who hate each other don’t think about each other like this, don’t act like this. I like you, for God’s sake.”
You couldn’t help but laugh a little. “You listen to John Denver?”
“That’s all you have to say?” He tried sounding angry but he was laughing too.
“I thought you were a rockstar.” You mocked him by holding up two ‘rock on’ hand signs.
“You don’t even care about the sentiment.” He rolled his eyes.
“Be quiet.” You were smiling when you kissed him, cupping his face while his arms snaked around your back.
You tangled both hands in his hair as he deepened the kiss by tilting his head and letting his tongue enter your mouth.
Your fingers messed up his hair before moving down to tug on his shirt collar, pulling him impossibly close.
He tapped your thigh and pulled his lips from yours to whisper, “Jump.”
You complied. He held onto your back with one hand as the other gripped your thigh while your legs wrapped around his waist.
Your hands came back up to rake through his hair, tugging it softly. He continued kissing you feverishly as he made his way to your bed. He almost dropped you when he lowered your body to it.
He climbed onto the bed and hovered over you, kissing down your neck while you gripped his shirt.
“It’s quiet,” Karen said, sitting on the couch, no longer hearing the near screaming match happening in your bedroom.
“Too quiet,” Graham agreed. Warren stood up and pressed his ear to the door, his mouth dropping open.
“Guys, I think they’re boning in there.”
“Warren, please refrain from saying ‘boning.’”

Kicho's Main Story Chapter 5 Part 2
These translations are not intended as a replacement for the game. Please support cybird by buying their stories. JP SPOILERS under the cut. Expect mistakes.
Kicho: "It's true that everything you need in life is given to you here."
Kicho: "But that's not the same as this. As long as I'm here, I'll give you a payment based on my standards."
Kicho: "That's why, if you want anything, just say it."
Kicho pointed his finger at a shop with a curtain in front of it.
Kicho: "For example, this shop sells cosmetic products."
Kicho: "It's probably nothing compared to what you have in the future, but this one offers high-quality products."
Kicho: "There are also books, figurines, hairpins, and most other things you could find on this street."
Mai: "Oh, nice! It's like the shopping mall of the Sengoku period."
(I don't know what I want, but I'd like to see everything.)
Mai: "Then can I start with that one first?"
Kicho: "Sure."
And so, with bouncy steps, I went to a couple of shops with him, after which we went into an eatery for a break.
Kicho: "Well, have you decided yet?"
Mai: "No."
Kicho: "To think that after all those shops we've been to, you didn't find anything you wanted."
Mai: "Sorry. They're all pretty, but I don't think I need them."
(Nothing really comes to mind when people say I can have anything.)
(Unless there's something I want, I'll just enjoy looking at different things and be happy with it.)
Kicho: "Well, it's okay. Take your time and choose."
Mai: "But the time一"
Kicho: "You're already aware that there's no more work after this, as you're sharing the schedule with me."
Kicho: “In the first place, I’m the one who brought this up. I’m not gonna rush you.”
Mai: “Thank you. Then I’ll take your word for it and think about it for a little longer.”
Kicho: “Yeah.”
Kicho: “More importantly, we’re gonna eat now. You can at least decide what you want to eat.”
Mai: “Okay! Leave that to me!”
As prompted, I looked up at the paper on the wall.
(Wow, the soba noodles look delicious. The grilled skewers look yummy too.)
(No, the stew is not easy to ignore, either. I’m pretty sure it’s well-seasoned.)
Mai: “I’m so torn.”
Kicho: “I just heard your lively reply earlier.”
Mai: “Because look at this shop’s menu!”
Mai: “It's unfair to put all this delicious-looking food together.”
Kicho: “.............”
Mai: “Sorry! I’m really indecisive when it comes to these things.”
Mai: “Alright! I’m just gonna do an eeny, meeny, miny, moe on this.”
Kicho: “Pfft.”
Mai: “Kicho!?”
He suddenly burst out laughing, making me widen my eyes.
Kicho: “The popular food in this restaurant is the skewers you see written there.”
Kicho: “We can order that for today and ask for a different one the next time we're here.”
Mai: “Sure, thanks for the suggestion.”
(Even though it wasn’t the first time I’d seen it, it still surprised me.)
(His smile is bad for my heart.)
We then finished our meal and went back out into the street.
Mai: "It was really good. I can see why that one is popular."
Kicho: "I see. You like it."
Kicho: "Then, let's continue shopping. Tell me if there's anything you want to see."
Mai: "Okay, thank you."
(That being said, what else would I like to see?)
(I feel like I've seen more than enough stuff already.)
Mai: "Ah!"
I spotted something at the end of the street and walked up to it as if I was being drawn in.
Mai: "Hey, look at all these fabrics. The colors are so beautiful."
Mai: "Um, can I go inside the shop?"
Kicho: "Yeah, do whatever you want."
I quickly entered the shop and looked at the fabrics one by one.
(This elegant one has a soft milky white color. And the pattern is rhododendron?)
(This indigo is also pretty. If the obi is a lighter color, I'm sure一)
Slowly, the cloths took on the shape of a kimono, with an obi wrapped around it.
(Yup, nice. A lovely combination.)
Kicho: "You're very passionate about this."
Mai: "Sorry, I got caught up in my own world."
Kicho: "I knew this shop was for you. Your reaction is different from the other shops we visited."
Kicho: "Here, look at this."
Mai: "Wait! Is that a velvet?"
Kicho: "Yeah. This shop also sells fabrics from other countries."
Kicho: "I'm sure they have more. Tell me what you like."
Mai: "What?"
Kicho: "It's my reward for you."
Kicho: "You can make whatever clothes you want out of whatever you choose."
Kicho: "You'll also need a set of needles. If we backtrack down the road, I'm sure we'll find a shop that sells them."
Kicho: "Let's get them later, okay?"
Mai: "Okay!"
(I'm so happy! I can make clothes again.)
Kicho called the shopkeeper, who explained and helped me choose some fabrics, then we bought a set of needles.
On our way home, he looked ahead and glanced at me.
Kicho: "Is there anything else missing?"
Mai: "No, it's more than enough. Thank you very much."
(It's supposed to be a reward for my work, but is it really okay to get this much?)
(He's done a lot for me, so I'll give him a gift in return.)
(Now that it's decided, I need to think about what kind of clothes to make.)
When I was at Azuchi Castle, Hideyoshi got me to help as a seamstress, but because I didn't have much experience sewing kimonos, I had to assist everyone else.
Thinking that I could make it myself, I began to get more and more ideas in my head.
(As I thought, a kimono would be a safe bet. I'll make it in light and calm tones that are typical of him.)
(Oh, but we have a lot of business meetings, so maybe a foreign outfit?)
Kicho: "Mai, come here."
Mai: "Eh? Why一"
Mai: "Waah!?"
Just as his arm went around my shoulder and pulled me close, a rushing person walked past right next to me.
(I didn't notice him at all.)
Mai: "Sorry, thanks."
Kicho: "Good grief, it's okay to get carried away, but keep your eyes on the road."
(Oh…)
As if to criticize my actions, Kicho tightened his arms around me, and I could feel the strength and warmth of his arms, making my heart beat faster.
Kicho: "If you fall and injure your hand, you won't be able to make clothes."
Mai: "You're right. I'll be careful."
Mai: "Sorry."
(I've been out of sorts ever since I saw the fabrics. I really have to be careful.)
I moved away from him, reflecting on the situation, when...
Motonari: "Heh, looks like you guys are getting along pretty well."
Mai: "Motonari!"
Kicho: "Why are you here?"
Motonari: "I have some business with you, but am I interrupting?"
Motonari: "I didn't expect to see you guys so close to each other in broad daylight."
Motonari: "I heard that you keep her around to monitor her, but I guess this is your aim."
Kicho: "I wouldn't keep a suspicious person in the trading post for such stupid reasons."
Motonari: "Hey, hey, don't answer so seriously. I was just joking."
Motonari: "You don't have to take this countryside girl seriously. With that face, you can get any woman you want."
(Hm? Countryside?)
(So he didn't tell him I came from the future.)
Kicho only shook his head without losing his cool expression.
Kicho: "I don't need it. I have no interest in love."
Kicho: "What happened earlier was only necessary to prevent an accident."
Mai: "That's right. He just saved me!"
Motonari: "Heh."
Motonari smirked and glanced at me, his red eyes teasing me.
Motonari: "You're not convincing anyone with that face."
Mai: "What face?"
Kicho: "Don't worry about it, Mai. He just wants to get some satisfaction out of you."
Mai: "What look is he saying?"
I put my hands on my cheeks and found them faintly hot.
(Am I blushing?)
Kicho: "More importantly, Motonari, if you need me, let's talk at the trading post."
Kicho: "It's probably about that thing. Also, I have something to tell you."
Motonari: "Yeah."
Mai: "Um, what's this all about?"
Motonari: "Oi, oi, are you ignoring my advice again? I told you it's better not to step in too much."
Motonari: "The fact that you're watching him so intently that it looks like you're his lover from the outside means you're not worth trusting."
(-----!)
Motonari: "If you don't want to wear a collar, you'd better behave yourself."
Kicho: "Mai, I'll have those items delivered later. Stay in your room when we return to the trading post."
Mai: "Understood."
With Motonari's words stuck in my heart, the three of us walked down the road, the setting sun shimmering in the distance.
(Kicho still doesn't trust me.)
(I knew that, but it still hurts when it's put into words.)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Sasuke: "You're really here."
Sasuke: "I finally found you. Mai."
The day after Kicho and I went into town一
Mai: "I'm finally done checking and organizing these documents!"
After stretching, I put together the bundle of papers.
(I didn't take a break, so I finished early. I think it's already past lunchtime.)
(I don't have anything to do after this, so maybe I can help someone else with something.)
(Oh, but first一)
I got up from the chair and picked up the perfume I wear every day.
(I don't know what's gonna happen, but I've got to look presentable, just in case.)
As I left the room and went down the hallway, I saw, as expected, a guard standing near the entrance.
(Someone's here.)
(As expected. He's so shrewd.)
------------Flashback------------
Kicho: "Mai. I'm going out with Motonari today. You stay here, okay?"
Mai: "Are you sure you don't want me to accompany you?"
Kicho: "Yeah, my men are there. You can freely move around here, but don't go outside."
Kicho: "I'll be back by nightfall."
---------Flashback Ends---------
(Going out with Motonari, huh? They are probably just going to resume their talk yesterday.)
(He doesn't want anyone to hear it, but that's exactly what I want to know.)
(Also, it's not like I can inform someone even if I know.)
Mai: "Alright, time to help with some cleaning."
I was about to turn back down the hallway to get a rag when一
Male voice: "Excuse me, I have a delivery for you."
(It looks like someone's here.)
(I feel like I know this voice.)
Kicho's subordinate opened the door, and the owner of the voice entered, carrying a large package.
Sasuke: "Hi. Sarutobi delivery at your service."
Sasuke: "These are the items you ordered yesterday, miss."
(Sasuke!?)
Mai: "Long time no see! I almost called your name there."
Sasuke: "Yeah, thank God you kept your mouth shut."
Sasuke: "If they found out that you and I knew each other, we wouldn't be able to talk like this."
Mai: "Yes. It's really nice to talk to you."
Mai: "I think the last time we saw each other was when we had tea at Azuchi. What have you been up to since then?"
Sasuke: "My employer told me to return."
Sasuke: "It would probably distract you, so I didn't tell you."
Sasuke: "I told you about Kenshin Uesugi, remember? I'm a ninja under him."
(This means that Sasuke and I are enemies in the eyes of others.)
(That's why he didn't tell me the details.)
Sasuke: "But when I returned to the castle, I found that the turbulent world was in serious trouble again, so this time, I came undercover to the border instead of Azuchi."
Mai: "I see. Then we're the same."
Sasuke: "Are you here as a spy too?"
Mai: "Yeah. Actually..."
When I briefly told him how I came here and my current situation, Sasuke was surprised but kept his usual expression.
Sasuke: "So that's what happened. That must've been tough."
Sasuke: "So, one of the people you were with in town yesterday is Kicho?"
Mai: "The one with the black hair is Kicho. Wait, you saw us yesterday?"
Sasuke: "Yeah, I saw you guys are pretty close."
Mai: "What? Oh!"
(Maybe he saw us from the time when Kicho hugged me?)
I felt my cheeks burning as Sasuke tilted his head at me.
Sasuke: "How do you feel about him?"
Mai: "Well..."
Mai: "I guess he's someone I don't want to become my enemy."
Mai: "I went undercover because I thought he was a bad guy, so I didn't really understand him during our time together."
Mai: "Of course, I'm a pacifist. That's why it's been difficult."
Sasuke: "I think I kind of know the feeling."
Sasuke: "People usually don't consider their enemies human beings."
Mai: "Yes."
Mai: "Anyway, I don't have any special feelings for him."
Sasuke: "Really?"
Mai: "Huh?"
Sasuke: "Sorry, I'm not trying to interfere with your feelings, but I just thought that if something were to happen, you, the spy, would suffer."
Sasuke: "And as your friend, I can't overlook that."
Mai: "Sasuke..."
The seriousness of his eyes showed that he wasn't lying.
(He's saying this because he's worried about me. He's really a good friend, but一)
Mai: “Don’t worry. No matter what happens, I won’t bend my beliefs.”
Mai: “I know it’s not easy to live in this turbulent world, and all lives are important.”
Mai: “That’s why I want to make a path where even one of those lives can be saved by my justice.”
Sasuke: “I see. That’s a relief.”
Sasuke: “Then, as your friend, I’ll help you.”
Mai: “Are you sure? That'll help a lot.”
Mai: “Oh, but I can’t run away from here.”
Sasuke: “No problem. You’re here with Mitsuhide, right?”
Mai: “Yes, I haven’t seen him for a while, so I don’t know if he’s still in Sakai.”
Sasuke: “Don’t worry, I’ll look for him. I stayed in Azuchi for a while, so I know his face.”
Sasuke: “If I can contact him safely, I’ll report to him for you.”
Mai: “Eh? Is that okay? You’re Kenshin’s一”
Sasuke: “Yeah. I’m a Nokizaru ninja, but remember, I'm also your friend and a pacifist."
Mai: “Okay. Then I’ll share the information with you.”
(His being here probably means that Kenshin and Shingen are also wary of Kicho.)
(Also, I don’t think getting this information around will affect the Oda army.)
While sorting everything in my head, I told Sasuke that Motonari Mouri was still alive, the number of weapons, and his goal of continuing the turbulent world.
Sasuke: "Continuing the turbulent world?"
Mai: "Keep this a secret, but Kicho also experienced time slipping like us."
Sasuke: "There's someone other than us!?"
Mai: "He was originally from this period, but apparently, he saw the future through a wormhole and came back."
Sasuke: "I see. So you mean to say that he decided to continue living here even after seeing the unification of Japan."
Sasuke: "What the hell happened to him? Or maybe he got affected by the distortions."
Mai: "Distortion?"
Sasuke: " I believe the Kicho in history was a woman."
Sasuke: "She was the daughter of Dosan Saito, the Lord of Mino, and was also known as Princess Nohime."
Mai: "So, this Kicho who is here now is..."
Sasuke: "I don't know all the details, but I guess he was affected by the distortion of history."

Dear Hiccup,
I am sending this letter to let you know I finally had success in befriending a dragon but regretfully I believe the reason I had so much trouble was fully my own fault and it took some personal growth on my end. You know Hiccup I spent so much time trying to figure out the perfect dragon for me, thinking of which dragon would I get along with best based on my perceived lifestyle and personality traits or which dragon I admired for one reason or another. Now I finally understand letting the dragon choose you, just like friendships the best ones aren’t assigned or forced and sometimes you can be your own worst enemy ignoring what was right in front of you.
You see there was a Sentinel dragon named Gargoyle that lived in the area near my childhood home that would show up occasionally, he would station himself out side of my family’s or a neighbor’s barn sometimes or he would be out in the fields trying to guard the corn. While other times he could be seen by busy roads in the mornings and afternoons when kids would be trying to cross to get to and from school, as a kid I would even stop to give him a good pat as a thank you. One winter I had slipped on ice and Gargoyle had hurried over to check on me, nuzzling at me until I was able to get up so that Snoggletog I got him a little stuffed teddy bear. He seemed to love that bear and then he would be seen occasionally appearing in his usual spots with it hanging out of his mouth.
However when I got older I moved away and went off to study and then I got interested in dragons so naturally I wanted to enter into dragon training. At first I thought my dragon would be a monsterious nightmare as I’ve always thought of them as my favorite dragon. I always admired how strong they are, how easily they seem to stand their ground, and they are beautiful in a powerful way. But I quickly realized that they are a little too stubborn for me, don’t get me wrong I can be stubborn too when it comes to my fundamental beliefs or when standing up for others but too much unnecessary conflict is stressful so even though I cared for the dragon training never got very far and in a catlike manner he appreciated the food but went on his way.
Trying to bond with a Deadly Nadder didn’t go over so well either Skyfire was loyal for sure but too flighty and we fed off of each other’s nervous energy and it wasn’t a very good partnership. Then volunteering with various dragons at the stables didn’t yield much information either, zipplebacks, in that regard three is a crowd they fuss and I always ended up being the middleman. Typhoomerangs too high strung and Thunderdrums are waaay too loud. So on and so forth but I think one of my biggest mistakes was actively avoiding the Boulder class dragons to which I always perceived as lazy or too low energy or simply not colorful or interesting enough. To which the irony would become apparent when I got really sick, bed ridden even and ended up needing a medical procedure. Recovery was rough but to my surprise one day when I was still recovering and had decided sleep was better than getting up to cross my home for lunch a loaf of bread and a bucket of Strawberries appeared on my windowsill; then some apples and a Turkey leg appeared that night around dinner time. This went on for a few days when one night I had a nightmare and woke up only to be startled by a shadow in my window. To my astonishment it was Gargoyle and he nosed open my window and dropped his prized teddy bear on my bed then simply sat his chin on my windowsill waiting. The rest is history, I love that dragon and we are inseparable now and I am learning so much about sentinel and boulder class dragons I never even knew, especially how surprisingly fast they can be.
Sorry for the ramble(and to you too author oof 😅) and thank you for your time chief. Also how are you and Astrid doing, and congratulations on the wedding! I wish you all the best and wanted to say you both are great leaders I believe in you!
(Thank you for all the work you put into this blog, and don’t worry for going MIA last night if you need time to rest or to just live life take all the time you need. Obviously you’ll be missed but you and your needs are important too new friend! 😄 I hope you have a great week!)
"Hey, Astrid! We got a letter!"
"Who's it from?"
"Hm, I'm not sure. There might've been a signature here, but it looks like the Terrible Terror that carried this chewed it up a bit. The letter is intact, though."
"Well, what does it say?"
Hiccup read the letter aloud as Astrid sharpened her axe.
"I'd send a reply, but I'm not sure who this is from!"
"It's alright, Hiccup. I'm sure we'll hear from them again."

not to come across as a performative leftist like you can't make these jokes aaahhh. obviously don't make jokes that actually hurt people but i think from a white cis male inherently those jokes come across as hurtful even when not intended to be. and while I think there could be a case for looking at the bigger picture also i think if you are hurting people you should be critisized and yes allow mistakes but when you are super privlaged and saying that while having made mistakes it comes across as saying you should ignore those doing harm. like a lot of the jokes are arguably not wholly harmful like i dont think he would have genuinely had anything to follow on from trans people in sport but when you are not trans (i am) it comes across as a bit tone deaf especially considering the state of politics in the US currently.
and like critisize the right and question the left but when you are privilaged and you do it by making racist jokes and nazi solutes it comes off across as genuinely hateful and like i know ur not and ur fans know but also do they? because you are a guy on stage who we don't know and when you don't adress anything (other than saying its a performance and a bit) or sit down with anyone other than white men to talk about it it comes off as hateful. and it's really hard to come across as critical when it seems genuine and you have to do the 'well but actually he is a good guy but he is pretending' like look at jshlatt because that's a 'bit' but its fucking harmful.
though i do think the idea that music and concerts should be more widely seen as an art space is interesting because if it was someone in a movie/theatre production doing a nazi solute you wouldnt hate the actor. but i think when thats not assumed because its a gig and you say risque shit and you dont necessary put the work in (like obviously he has morals and has been vocal about misogyny and racism previously but thats not always super apparent especially when they don't know you. and like when he attempted to coerce amelia into a kiss or he posts about hot women which comes across as weird and objectifying that is what people know him for to an extent (or at least my irls) its hard to explain to people that he's not like that.
as an aside I also think its interesting that he's gone super masculine 'I'm a man I'm a male I'm a he' after so many years of being disintrested and saying that he isn't interested in masculinty. like saying that being a leftist man is confusing despite saying previously in response to that sentiment 'just existing is confusing' so like is it all just a bit? we will never know and its both very cool and incredibly frustrating and i genuinely struggle to reach a solid conclusion and put it into definitive words
i think overall his performance is based on trust that he is not a bad person and while i believe that its difficult if you don't know him personally and as a white cis man he has privilege so he doesn't have to worry about the repercussions of his jokes
(sorry if this is all a bit much i have a lot of thoughts) - 🐸
Thanks for offering this alternative perspective! I really appreciate it! I am, myself a woman of color, but I’m a cis woman, so I can’t speak for the experiences of trans people and how they are affected, nor would I ever want to invalidate your feelings. If that’s how you feel, and you genuinely find fault in the things that he does, I think you are well within your right! And you can be a fan of someone AND also criticize them. Like I hate that a second of the fandom is like “if you’re saying this it means you don’t get the band” or whatever. That’s not my intention here at alllll.
The way I see it is this, and please please please feel free to disagree with me! I think disagreement is healthy and helpful when done respectfully and I don’t mind it at all.
1. Matty has a lot of blind spots. Because of the very things you mentioned. I don’t wanna get us off track by bringing up a separate issue, so I won’t get into all the debating, but, like, his stance on “nepo babies” is kinda faulty and a little dumb, lmao. But I think he thinks the way that he does because he grew up around art and artists so those things come intuitively to him. Also, just bring a white, male, wealthy person makes him inherently privileged so his stance may not always be representative of most peoples. So, I agree with you that, sometimes, the jokes, well intentioned though they may be, come off as tone deaf. Like, let’s take the Japanese accent nonsense as an example. Matty isn’t racist. We all know this. DH represents a lot of poc and artists of Asian descent and we know he supports them fully, etc. his music actively tries to point out the ways that society marginalizes black and queer people. We know all that. But, my thing is, would he make that joke in front of a Japanese person? As a white guy, would he feel comfortable in doing that accent and have it come off as “just a joke” if the person sitting across from him were Japanese? My guess is he’d say no. Well, then, that’s a good measure for a joke that shouldn’t be told. If you can’t say it to the people it’s about, then maybe stfu. Like, he just straight up fucked up there. There’s no beating around the bush. He shouldn’t say it was art or whatever. He should just say he’s sorry.
2. I think your point about trust, and about people who don’t know his heart reacting differently, is EXACTLY why Matty does what he does. Like, progressive politics and standing up for the rights of marginalized communities should not cancel human decency. We shouldn’t be in a position, as a society, where we have to even say “no, no, listen, guys! He’s a good human! He actually wrote songs like Jesus Christ 2005, and Love It If We Made It! He’s a good guy!” Like why is that even necessary. Why is not the default of society to say “I don’t hate you as a person and want to cancel you, but, look man: what you did/said is fucked up. And here’s why.” Like, his thing is based on trust because trust SHOULD BE the norm. (Obviously, don’t extend that trust to the Epsteins and Weinsteins and Cosbys of the world, they don’t deserve it). Like the norm should be saying “no. This is bad. Here’s why. Do better.” Without all the moral outrage and performant I’ve nonsense that we do around it, you know? I think that’s what frustrates Matty and that’s why he does that stuff. It’s also unfortunately why it doesn’t work. Cuz people who don’t know him ARENT trusting him. So it’s not gonna work. Perhaps the goal here is to point out the problem within our society. But I’m not sure that the people who hate him are seeing it that way. They don’t realize that they need to be more compassionate. They’re patting themselves on the back for “canceling” him. So…is his goal accomplished? Not really. Sadly.
3. I think it’s inherent in his job as an artist to criticize culture, to ask uncomfortable questions, and to observe and react to his surroundings. I don’t think he’s suddenly saying “I’m a man, I’m a make, I’m a he.” I think, as he has said in the past, he grew up privileged enough to be in a position where he didn’t HAVE to question his sexuality. Cuz he was surrounded by artists, queer people, liberal values, etc where progressive ideals were the norm. That’s not the experience of all of us. I think he took the fluidity of gender and masculinity for granted when he was younger cuz he’s been lucky enough not to have to assert his identity day in and day out cuz nobody is writing legislation to criminalize him. However, as he has talked about before, seeing his own gender react the way that it has post- Me Too, and seeing how the right has capitalized on men’s issues, and seeing how western societies here in the US and elsewhere have been rapidly regressing, he feels more aware of his position, wants to express the frustrations, and wants to think about the issue alongside the culture. I think that’s a function of maturing and growing up, and also just being alive in 2023. If you’re a thoughtful person who is concerned about the future of mankind, then you can’t really not get socio-political. How could he remain silent when all this shit is happening? The 1975 has never been the type to be silent. So, I don’t really think this is a recent thing nor do I think he’s asserting his own masculinity. I think he, like all of us, is going “what is the role of the leftist male in todays world? Especially if you reject performatism , fake wokeness, etc.” that’s a valid question that he has every right to ask!
Does that make sense? Just how I’m viewing it. But like I said, please do feel free to disagree with me!

Unlock GBP/CHF Secrets with 1-Hour Chart Mastery The 1-Hour Sweet Spot: How GBP/CHF Trades Can Become Game-Changers Imagine a jigsaw puzzle: you know those small, colorful pieces that frustrate you at first, but eventually come together to reveal a beautiful picture? That's kind of how the GBP/CHF pair works on the 1-hour timeframe. Not too fast, not too slow, it's the Goldilocks of trading timeframes—just right. Many traders skip over the 1-hour timeframe for something faster or more relaxed, but let me tell you, they're missing out on a gold mine of opportunities. Let's dive in and figure out why. Why GBP/CHF Loves the One-Hour Magic GBP/CHF can be a bit of an enigma. It's not as wild as the major GBP/USD, and not as steady as USD/CHF, but it strikes a balance that can make for incredible trading opportunities—especially on the 1-hour timeframe. Picture the GBP/CHF pair as that slightly quirky friend who doesn’t dance on tables but isn’t sitting in the corner either. The 1-hour chart gives you enough movement to capture meaningful gains, but also enough stability to set solid risk management. Most retail traders make the mistake of ignoring the unique blend of volatility and predictability that GBP/CHF provides. You don’t need to be glued to your screen all day; the 1-hour chart keeps you informed and able to execute decisions without going into panic mode at every little price tick. In a market that's a mix between a dance party and a chess game, GBP/CHF is that person confidently slow-dancing while others are frantically trying to keep up. The Hidden Formula Only Experts Use Want to hear a secret? It's all about timing. Experts look at GBP/CHF during specific times when both the London and Zurich markets overlap—between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM GMT. During this window, you can catch those sweet swings that often evade the casual trader who just throws a couple of indicators on their screen and hopes for the best. The key is leveraging the perfect storm: GBP volatility during London hours combined with CHF's quiet, measured moves. While many overlook this quiet synergy, smart traders position themselves to take full advantage of the confluence in these hours, kind of like timing your jump perfectly on a trampoline to get maximum height. How to Predict Market Moves with Precision Let me tell you something about predicting GBP/CHF moves: it doesn’t require some mysterious ancient scroll of wisdom. If anything, it involves a combination of a little bit of news knowledge, some well-timed entries, and a decent set of technical indicators—but, only if used wisely. Imagine if your trading strategy had a blend of MACD and Bollinger Bands on the 1-hour chart. Bollinger Bands will tell you when things are stretching out a bit too far—like that person who insists on wearing skinny jeans after Thanksgiving dinner—while MACD can help confirm momentum shifts. In other words, when GBP/CHF starts testing the boundaries of the upper Bollinger Band with a supportive MACD cross, it could be time to get in while the getting's good. The Forgotten Strategy That Outsmarted the Pros Here's a strategy that I bet you won't hear much about: currency strength trading. Instead of just watching GBP/CHF like it’s a soap opera you can’t stop, check out the relative strength of both GBP and CHF against other major currencies. The 1-hour timeframe gives you an incredibly useful snapshot that you can use to determine which currency has the real muscle behind it. Let me give you a case from late 2023. The GBP was weakening against major pairs like EUR and USD, but CHF stayed stable. An astute trader would look at the 1-hour GBP/CHF and realize the upward movement was only a temporary anomaly, eventually positioning for a downside swing. Essentially, you’re reading the undertones of the market, while most traders are just staring at price action like it's a reality TV show they don't really understand. Advanced Insights: The Hidden Patterns That Drive GBP/CHF We need to talk about timing again. A very subtle, almost ninja-like move involves the understanding of "bank flow" and market session overlaps. GBP/CHF tends to see pivotal movements when both London and New York overlap with Zurich, especially around major economic data releases. Many traders think they can just trade the pair any time, but a true insider knows when to time their strikes like a seasoned martial artist. Look for UK economic announcements or Swiss National Bank policy updates within these windows to exploit predictable volatility on the 1-hour chart. Underground Tactics for GBP/CHF Mastery - The Overlap Effect: Leverage London-Zurich market overlap for maximum liquidity. The increased volume means more solid technical setups on the 1-hour chart. - Bollinger Bands & MACD Combo: Use Bollinger Bands for breakout opportunities and MACD for momentum confirmation. This combo is like a one-two punch—spot the move, and then confirm its legitimacy. - Currency Strength Analysis: Don't look at GBP/CHF in isolation. If the GBP is getting pummeled by other major currencies, the probability of a GBP/CHF rally sticking around diminishes considerably. The opposite is also true. - Set Risk Limits and Let It Breathe: The 1-hour timeframe isn’t your 5-minute chart, so set wider stops accordingly. Give your trades room to breathe; otherwise, you’re essentially suffocating your trades before they even begin to grow. Why Most Traders Get It Wrong (And How You Can Avoid It) The big mistake most traders make is impatience. With the GBP/CHF pair on the 1-hour timeframe, you have to remember this isn’t a 100-meter sprint; it’s more like a well-planned heist. Rushing in or out can be disastrous—just like trying to rob a bank without a getaway plan (not that I recommend robbing banks, of course). Traders often jump into GBP/CHF without considering broader economic conditions, particularly related to interest rate news or banking sector stability in both countries. You need to be the Sherlock Holmes of Forex, inspecting all details before drawing your conclusion. When you take your time to analyze both the GBP and CHF environments, the profits are almost like the reward at the end of a treasure hunt—satisfying and well-earned. Ninja-Level Checklist for GBP/CHF on the 1-Hour Chart - Check Market Overlaps: Ensure you're trading when both London and Zurich are active for better setups. - Use the Right Indicators: Combine Bollinger Bands for volatility awareness and MACD for momentum confirmation. - Currency Strength Index: Monitor the strength of GBP and CHF against other majors. This will give you a clearer picture of real trends versus market noise. - Set Realistic Stops: Don’t choke your trade with tight stop-losses on the 1-hour chart. Aim for stability, not unnecessary losses. - Remain Objective: Avoid being swept up in small price fluctuations. Focus on the bigger movement that the 1-hour chart offers and trade accordingly. Maximizing Profit Potential While Avoiding Pitfalls Forex trading is often portrayed as an adrenaline-fueled race to rack up pips, but let’s face it—most traders end up running in circles. Trading GBP/CHF on the 1-hour chart, however, is about rhythm, timing, and precision. To trade this pair successfully, you need a blend of intuition and analysis, and yes, a bit of humor to laugh at the times you hit the wrong button (we've all been there). Mastering this pair doesn’t happen overnight, but with the right tools, some well-timed moves, and an eye for detail, you can capture some incredible trades that most traders overlook. Remember, the goal here isn’t to make a trade every hour—it’s to make the right trades when everything aligns. That’s where the magic happens, and that’s how you turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. Are you ready to dive into GBP/CHF and master the 1-hour timeframe? We can literally have it all in an NG+ Game. If that isn’t a reason to replay it, then I don’t know what is XD
The fact the game keeps reminding you constantly though the first few hours that Olivert is supposedly that is extremely depressing the first time you play it and its extremely annoying whenever you replay it.
One of Trails biggest Issues for western-players is that it often assumes automatically that you had access to Audio-Dramas, Mangas and other special stuff they did for the series. So they assume that you know the gist of how Toval has met with Estelle and Joshua at some point, although it happened in a Manga, they also mention class 7 having holidays in Ymir which was an Audio drama. Alster also is part of a story from a different Medium (I think also an Audio-Drama) which gets just briefly mentioned in CS3 but when you get to CS4, they assume you do know who Kai and Tilia are and how our people actually come to know them. Which is a huge ass problem point when you play CS4, because its not super easy to get access to those extras, especially not in a language you can understand. And as the issue of not knowing these characters or what exactly they have to do with ours did not resolve itself by playing this game, this is yet another point for reasons not to replay this game.
While it looks like that in fact all opposing fractions are taking into a “hostage” - kind of situation, if you look closer, were they were and who they were surrounded with actually kept them protected. We know that Machias father was put in a tough spot, but with all the Military watching him, he was definitely saver then most other citizens of Erebonia. And that was most likely because Osborne knew that when all this was over, this man would be needed. Noticing stuff like that is one of the reason to replay this game.
Its absolutely dumb that she calls him “Instructor Makarov” they are in love for ages now! But as this could easily be a translation mistake, I guess we don’t have to be so harsh o say that is a reason not to replay the game, it also is just a small detail that can be overlooked I guess. So... lets just ignore this.
Fun fact about Falcom is: Apparently certain characters breast sizes grow with every game XD I am not really joking here, look at how big Rixias breasts are in Kuro compared to their size in the Crossbell-Arc. Shirley - tho she was allowed some growing still at this point - pointed out in a certain very infamous scene in Azure, that she likes woman/girls with big breasts because she is flat as a board. She does not have a great breast size compared to certain other characters in the game, but with that school Uniform (which she is rocking by the way, because those colors just complement her immensely) even Shirleys smaller chest size looks bigger, thanks to those weird positioned straps. And on that note, looking at the Eyecandy that Shirley provides in this outfit is one of the reasons to replay this game. (And yes, I am very much aware that I said the same about Cedric back in CS3. I guess their hair colors just go well with the overall colors of the school Uniform...)
Guess that means when “princey boy” is not around she can’t have much fun, huh? XD Seriously tho, it is pretty much foreshadowing of Shirleys role in this game. Because to keep Cedric on a least, Shirley herself has to put herself in timeout so to not edge him on and to actually be able to focus more on him then on what she would usually focus on. Also, if you see this scene, you would assume that she is going crazy as per usual, not having to deal with her borderline insaneness was quite a surprise back when I played this game for the first time. Anyway, reasons to replay this game is to look at how Shirleys and Cedrics relationship is always presented between the lines. Think about it. When they were at the Gral they didn’t even so much as looked at each other, all we got was the little “Not my type” out of context comment with an absolutely bad timing and thats been it. This plays roughly two weeks later and we have already established a nickname. Now with Shirley we have to consider two things. She is an Orlando, Randy mad it clear that all people he finds cute/endearing get a nickname of some sort. (Something that Juna kind of adapted it seems...) So this nickname-giving is a family-trait it seems, but seems to only go for people they find cute. HOWEVER, this is Shirley we are talking about. In her nicknames you seem to be able to always find some way of mockery. So Randolph end ob being Dolphy, which is pretty much sounding like a cute, harmless Dolphin, obviously a mockery for the man who was actually called the red reaper once. (And not even so far off, given that Randys reaper times are over and he is a big old softie now...) Now with Cedric, it would have been easy enough to turn his name into Ceddi or something (which would have annoyed him enough for sure) but Shirley chose princey boy instead. I mentioned that before in some asks I got, but the mockery behind this is easy to grasp. with “princey” she mocks his title. As you will see in their interactions later in the game, Shirley doesn’t give a damn about titles. And what is a prince anyway? Nothing compared to an Emperor. And the “boy” is pretty much mocking him by telling him she sees him as a boy, not a man. Trampling on his damn Erebonian Crown Prince pride as a woman that is actually stronger then him, to top it off. Obviously, the fact that she calls him by his nickname even when he is not around, shows that this is as much endearing as it is mockery, but the point still stands. (And going all out, analyzing the hell out of this ship is one of the most important reasons to replay this game, I tell you XD)
I honestly felt like most of the ships for our Old class 7 boys came kinda out of nowhere... but I guess given that this was supposed to be their last game and was supposed to give them their happy ending, there was no time like the present. However, it is still a bit annoying to notice, now that you have (since it is a replay) to notice such things. So not exactly a good reason to replay the game.
One of the weakest points of the Crossbell-Saga is that you miss out on A LOT of important stuff, if you don’t do certain side- oder hidden missions. For example, I never met Xin before CS4 so I never knew who he was and why he was so taken with Elie. Its kind of frustrating. Then again, the whole Crossbell-thing was kind of frustrating for most of the Western-Fandom until recently. Since that issue can be taken care of by now... I guess we do not say it is a point not to replay the game. Rather, AFTER you cleared the Crossbell-Saga, with all the Sidemissions, it might make even more sense to replay this game. Xin aside, there are a lot of things in CS3 and CS4 that feel different after you finish the Crossbell-Saga. And I guess even more so, if you do all the side- and hidden missions.
Cao is one of the most frustrating but also most intriguing characters that the Trails-Saga has produced. He switches sides whenever he feels like it and often in a way and with a timing you can not foresee even if you know that he is like that. And if you think he is a problem here, wait till you see him in Riveri and if you think you have figured him out by then, watch him break Ashens heart in Kuro2 despite the fact that he does care about her - or does he? You never know with him. And it is fun to see him again, doing what he is usually doing, after actually seeing what he pulls in future games. So certainly a reason to replay this game.
Compared to Erebonia, Crossbell provides all their harem-girls with an alternative partner. We easily have Wazy for Noel, Ilya obviously for Rixia and our “freckled boy” here could easily go as Tios second choice. Some people might want to argue that, as he is in Riveri quite happy to see her reunion with Lloyd but its not like Wazy was jealous about the way Noel saved Lloyd and we still have the game put them together constantly, including in the epilogue of this very game. In any case, having Jonah be all like “I am not worried about Tio being missing!” is really adorable to watch, so a nice reason to replay the game for once.
Obviously this whole mess was painful enough as it was, but I always found it regretful, especially after Olivert and Toval specifically mentioning the woman they loved before their untimely “death” that we didn’t get to see Sheras and Eiens reactions. I mean Shera was right in Heimdall, seeing it live, so there would have been an easy enough possibility. And it would have been kind of nice, like, before the Credits role, to actually see how Eien was informed about Tovals death. I mean, the woman is tough as Iron, but seeing her act all “Oh well, can’t be changed” infront of whoever was the messenger and then actually start to cry why smoking a cigerret and opening a bottle of wine would have been nice to seed. But I guess that is the shipper inside of me who wants more then she bargained for XD In any case, this game finally giving us Shera and her feelings and reactions about Oliverts death is always a good reason to replay this game. (Tho this game really is pulling out all the painful stuff when it comes to shippings XD)
The fact that when I think of the beginning of the game I never remember dealing with them before anything else, because I am so focused on being frustrated about having to deal with New class sevens overgrown ego without even having Rean as a compensation ^^’ And when I reach this point I am always like: “Oh. Right. I have to deal with them first.” But it is really nice to see and play those guys again. Definitely a good reason to replay CS4.
The fact that you have to wonder if they too will be offered a promotion to S-Rank eventually and will also not accepted it, like many Bracers seem to do these days. I mean, at the point of Kuro 2 they should have long reached the S-Rank-Level, given their abilities and experience and all that. But I guess we deal with that question in another game. Still, an interesting reminder of their current Rank is never a bad reason to replay this game. We have Renne in Kuro 2 after all, so its not impossible to see those guys again eventually.

In this instance, Thursday has seen the warning sign - or rather, she has seen a warning sign of sorts - and... has chosen to ignore it in favor of giving the other person the benefit of the doubt in the name of wanting to help. She doesn't have enough fingers to count the number of times she's been hurt in her life for making this same mistake, and if anybody were to point this out to her she'd probably look at them funny and ask, "What was I supposed to do? Not help?"
It's like a switch that she can't turn off, even if she knows she's stupid not to.
At any rate, like the warning signals from seeing that errant mug sitting in the dishwasher, it's already starting to fade into the background of her thoughts. Replacing those signals now is the much more favorable and colorful thoughts of the current conversation.
"Not so bad! How were you supposed to know? But you don't have to sell it either if you don't want to. It can be something that's just special to you. Whatever you want to do with it - that's the whole point, Piter. Oh, right, chores, you're right, there is actually a reason we were rudely awakened and it wasn't just so we could sit around all day talking about your talents. Unless that's why you woke me up, eh?" she laughs, clearly joking as she tries to get herself back on track.
As they go, she looks sort of put on the spot - and that's because she is. "Oh, uhhh, well- I haven't got an idea yet, per se, but I'm sure I could whip something up in a flash. Hmm. Okay, so, how's this. Space ghosts. Like, ghosts that are in space. They have to be in space, don't they? How could they not be? I mean, it's a little morose, but I'm sure people have died out here, and if ghosts exist, then they have to exist in space. And I'm sure there are ghosts of other species too besides just humans. So do ghosts have to exist within a physical place, or can they just fly around wherever they want? Do you think they can escape black holes? So I wonder if a ghost gets sucked into a black hole, do they get spaghettified too, or if they don't, does that mean ghosts can move faster than the speed of light? Questions, that need answers, and we need to answer them before I can write this play and you can write the music to it."
"Also, you know what, do you mind if I stop by my room real quick? I can grab my book for you! If that's okay. If not, no big deal, I can always get it for you later."
Assuming Piter is okay with this, Thursday makes the quick detour to her room, a detour which quickly goes from excited to cold, dead dread as she find something eerie sitting on her bed, like a little clue waiting for her to find. A piece of paper with a single string of numbers written on it in black ink.
432
There is genuine, deep, icy fear that stabs through her at the sight of that little piece of paper and the numbers written upon it. Not only the numbers, but the fact that it's there. Not only the fact that it's there, but the fact that it's there. How did it get there?! Who put that there?!
She's afraid to touch it. She's afraid to even approach it. Is it even real? Is she just imagining things? She drank too much coffee, didn't she? What kind of coffee was that anyway? Where's her book? What about-
Oh god. Should she tell Piter about this? What if- He'll just think she's crazy! And if he doesn't, he's going to want to know who 432 is, won't he? She can't tell him about that, about how 432 went crazy, how she... how everything happened... and how she, Thursday, ran away, how she left them...
It takes her much longer than it should to complete the simple action of retrieving her book, but she does it. She digs up her copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and scampers away from that piece of paper, straight back to where she agreed to meet back up with Piter, where she tries her very best to arrange her facial expression back into its usual position.
Everything is fine. She didn't just see some random piece of paper with her dead coworker's employee number on it sitting on her bed for no explainable reason.
"Hey! I'm back! Here you go," she says, her voice just a little bit higher pitched than it was before she left. "Anyway, uh... Um... What was- Space ghosts, yeah. Given it any thought?"
He's starting to like Thursday, against his better judgment. Does this end well? He supposes he let her see a little of the crazy as a favor to her. He remembers an honor code of Tleilaxu assassins, that every victim must technically have a fair chance to escape before an assassin strikes. The victim need not be warned, it's more that the assassin must not attempt to block off all exits preemptively. Piter has never been one to hold back when he wants someone dead, but he can appreciate the sentiment behind the practice. Flows like poetry. An enclosed area like this ship doesn't have any actual escape route to offer, so the only place the poetry will fit is in giving warnings. He is not willing to commit to being safe for her, or for anybody. But it doesn't feel wrong to offer a little grace.
"I suppose I... never thought of music as being worth anything," he laughs awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck. "I know... that sounds so bad, right! Well, if you write and I play, we almost have to collaborate, huh. Well! Not as in a real commitment. We have only just met each other, and we may well have quite different paths, planetside. I mean, let's do a creative thing to pass the time as we go about our chores. What is your idea for a 'sci-fi' horror play? That's a little too specific for me to also believe you don't already have an idea, hm?"
#fluxofthemouth#space au#something really weird happened with the numbers 432#when i typed them in on the line by themselves they were HUGE#but when i adjusted the size to 'bigger' they actually got smaller for some reason xD

How Fire Island proved Persuasion 2022 wrong
When Persuasion 2022 was released on Netflix there were a lot of statements from people involved in the production (Ron Bass and CC) saying that they love Austen but that they think her characters are outdated and not relatable to a modern audience anymore. That they need an update.
This already shows a big misunderstanding of the characters imo. The reason why Austen books are still so popular today is due to the fact that her characters are timeless. We all know a Mrs. Bennet, a Mary Musgrove, a Mary Crawford, a Mr. Collins... Austen was a sharp observer of the people around her. The setting might be outdated but not the characters. And the writers of Fire Island understood that
Fire Island literally starts with the main character saying that Austen is the queen, but that not every man might look for a woman to marry. This shows a deep respect for Austen and her work, but also points out that we need to diversify Austen stories. And that those two things can co-exists
The writers of Persuasion made such an effort promoting how diverse their story is and how modern, while it was still: white, straight and set in a regency era. Yeah there were people of color and i think Ben Bailey Smith did an amazing job, but that - imo as white person - where just people of color put into white narrative. Without addressing any issues black people had to face during that time. I am not saying Persuasion should have been about black trauma. But ignoring it completely was an odd choice.
Conrad Ricamora said something about that topic as well (when addressing the position of gay asian in our society today and especially in todays LGBTQ community):
“We need movies that focus on our trauma. Then, we need movies show us going to the grocery store, show us hanging out with friends, going to the beach, going on vacation. It’s not just about our minority identity,” says the star.
“We can’t just completely gloss over and say, ‘Oh everything is completely fine and the world’s great.’ So, we need those movies. But we also need to have fun too. I feel like Fire Island does a great job of showing us having fun.
And Persuasion did say: “Oh, everything is completely fine.” and that was a huge mistake imo
Updating the setting vs Updating the characters
One reason why Fire Island is so beautiful is because they completly stayed true to the book characters. They changed the setting, the changed sexuality and ethnic but the characters are still 1:1 the original Austen characters.
We have Will (Fitzwilliam) having an emotional breakdown when he is forced to socialize by Charles Bingley:
Charlie (Charles) being still the softest, cutest, dumbest character in the whole story, laughing his ass off when he sees Darcy struggle but trying to be polite about it
Noah (Elizabeth) is the most judgy bitch who ever walked the planet but on the other hand he is the one who keeps the family together and takes care of everyone. And always challenges Darcy
And I mean, this is the whole Bennet family. Don’t dare to tell me you cannot spot Kitty and Lydia right away. You can see Mary in the back btw, with the hat.
Instead, Persuasion gave us lines and moments like those:
You wouldn’t know this is supposed to be Anne.
Appropriate language
While watching Fire Island I always found the language appropriate to the place the story was taking place in. And it also suited the characters. I really had the feeling a queer asian man in his 30s wrote the script reflecting on his experience of...well... being a gay asian man in his 30s. Everyone spoke and behaved appropriate. While still staying true to the book characters. Instead, Persuasion was written by Ron Bass, a 80 years old man who gave us lines like:
Which gave of these vibes:
Voice overs
I know voice overs are always a complicated thing to do. Good Omens tried to solve it by making God the narrator. Persuasion 2007 had Anne writing her dairy with subtle 4th wall breaking... which worked okay-ish. Fire Island chose an approach I really liked (which was also used in Vampire Academy 2014). We hear the characters inner thoughts WHEN necessary (!), which are SOMETIMES (mostly at the beginning and at the end) directed at the viewer directly. But the golden rule still stands: “Don’t tell, show!”. And Fire Island understood that very well. Nevertheless, there are some inner thoughts that need to be spoken. Especially for comedy reasons. And it is also a blast for book fans because this is what we thought the whole time reading the book.
It just fits Elizabeth perfectly! This is a 100% Lizzie.
In contrast we get that from Persuasion:
Like, if I am not able to see that you are two are past lovers by the way you behaving around each other, you are doing something terrible wrong. I don’t need you to turn around to me and point at Wentworth: “We are exes btw!”. Anne 2007 crying her eyes out only when we, the viewers, where around made much more sense. 2007!Anne also shared secrets just with us, but meaningful secrets. You know what I saw when she cried her eyes out and then shortly looked at us? A woman, nearly shattered to pieces, silently screaming for help.
When 2022 Anne cried while reading the letter to us is saw nothing because I cringed so hard I had to look away a drama queen. It didn’t had any meaning or impact
Sex jokes: body positive
I always thought I am not a fan of sex jokes, but while watching Fire Island I noticed my problem are actually not sex jokes but most of them being incredible toxic. The sex jokes in Fire Island were so amazing body positive. I just wanted to point that out. Next point!
The letter!
Both Persuasion and Fire Island have meaningful letter. Darcy writes Lizzie a letter, explaining his behavior and apologizing. Wentworth writes Anne a letter to confess his love.
Translating a letter to modern times where men and women can talk with each other freely without any boundaries and where phones are everywhere is really complicated but Joel Kim Booster created the perfect set up. By breaking Noahs phone and letting Will and Noah having a huge fight. So, it is really convincing why Will writes the letter. And the scene is so beautiful:
And the letter Wentworth sends Anne is equally important, maybe even more important. But even though Persuasion 2022 is still set in regency times and actually has the perfect set up for a letter, it still completely misses the mark. Why? Two reasons. 1) Anne and Wentworth are talking with each other the whole time. So there is actually no need for a letter:
2) Instead of quietly reading the letter and having a beautiful soft voice over (Persuasion 2007, Persuasion 1995, Pride and Prejudice 2005 etc.) we get Anne turning around to us and reading the letter to US. A letter meant only for HER and she turns around to us and cries her out to us. Ugh, it was so cringe.
Both Fire Island and Persuasion 2022 changed the letter, but why did it work for Fire Island and not for Persuasion? Because there was never a need for Persuasion 2022 to update the letter. None. Only of them thinking every love letter needs an explicit “I love you” so the viewer understands what the scene is about. Also, the Fire Island letter missed the mark here and there. Darcy could have told something along the lines: Dex hurt my brother deeply” but anyway. It worked nevertheless.
The captions
The captions are definitely not perfect in Fire Island:
but definitely a 100% times better what Persuasion gave us:
I mean look what effort Emma 2020 put into the title cards. Its not that hard:
Updates
I love Austen but I also think her stories need updates to suit the world were are living in today. As i already pointed out: The personality of the characters do NOT need updates.
I loved that Fire Island had Elizabeth (Noah) stand up for Lydia. Instead in the original PP story everyone drops Lydia like a hot potato and her family only saves her for their own sake. I know, why... it was regency era, but that wouldn’t work anymore if you set the story in a modern setting like Fire Island did.
Also, Noah was clearly ashamed of Lydia and Kitty from time to time but never rejected them as a family member. I also loved that in contrast to the original PP novel Jane (Howie) has a fight with Noah (Lizzie) telling him his place and telling him to stop try to change him.
I also would have loved to see changes like that in the Persuasion adaptation. Talking about the fact that the sailors were not heroes but serving a really expanding colonialist system. It also needed Gay characters and more female friendships. Because every Persuasion adaptation we got so far mostly ignored Mrs. smith and her friendship with Anne. And also the friendships between Harville and Wentworth is mostly only there for one or two scenes. Persuasion 2007 already dug deeper into it. But there is more to explore.
Instead, they changed the character of Anne and gave her a strong friendship with Louisa and Henrietta. I love these two but that was such an odd choice but, in the end, they only see Anne as a nice aunt who comes around from time to time. The point is that Anne has no real friends in this place. She finds friends in new places. And don’t get me started on all the other “updates” that made Persuasion 2022 into a completely different story.
I was not able anymore to tell who was supposed to be who and what was gonna happen next. And that’s the beauty of Fire Island.
Updating dating:
One major problem when translating Austen novels in modern times is the dating. Today you just do not marry a person right away just because you fall in love with them. So it was good that Fire Island gave Darcy and Elizabeth scenes where they were alone and scenes where they needed to work together (confronting Wickham) and where we saw them being casual around each other, having fun and flirting. But they waited with that until after the letter so it would make sense.
I think Persuasion wanted to take a similar approach when they wrote this line:
They didn’t want the have the main leads being quiet around eachother for two hours straight and then suddenly: “Btw, love you, wanna marry me?” But that’s the point. They fall in love BEFORE the movie starts (in the past, 8 years ago), they talked a lot with each other 8 years ago, all of that has already happened. Making a good Persuasion adaptation means the viewer notices how both of them are grieving those happy times, wishing they could go back to the happy times but being also not able to talk to each other based on the circumstances. But still, always colliding into ecah other and being forced to work and talk with each other.
When you make a Persuasion adaptation set in modern times, it could also work with them not talking to each other. Silent pining of people who are in love with each other for 8 years. Because Persuasion is not about “falling in love”, this already happened. It is about finding a way back to each other and opening your hearts again, A story about forgiveness and this doesn’t always need to be screamed from the rooftops but can also happened quiet, really private.
Mistakes:
I also need to point some mistakes for Fire Island, I guess. Charlies reason to return to his ex was really staged. Darcy sadly lacked real character growth. It would have been more convincing if he also would have hated the whole Bennet family because he a) thought that the Bennet family is a bad influence on Charlie and b) that Howie feelings were not as deep as Charlies and that Howie wanted Charlie because of his money.
TL:DR: Fire Island showed how to do a modern Austen adaptation and that Austen is still worth being adapted today in many diverse ways. Persuasion completly failed because they only wanted to be edgy and ripped the heart out of the story and the characters

Haunted Houses | Eddie Munson
Summary: Eddie is totally not scared of Haunted Houses.
Word count: 780
Warnings: Fake blood? Clowns? Fake Knives? Idk
Authors note: Just a quick blurb I wrote! Sorry I haven’t been posting as much, I’ve been busy and just haven’t been feeling very motivated. I have been working on older requests and the next chapter of Outloud so be ready for those :) Also, feel free to send in any requests for Halloween/fall or just normal requests, I’m trying to get back to writing! (P.S. Not proofread, so bear my mistakes)
Eddie nudged your forward, grinning at your stubbornness.
“I’m not going first.” You mumbled, making your way behind Eddie to nudge him forward. He steps into the puddle of fake blood that was in front of the dark, spooky house, cringing. “I’m not either!”
“Well then… we can just stay here then.” You suggest, staring at the lights flickering from the inside of the house.
“No way!” Eddie complained. “I paid 20 dollars for this, that would just be wasting money.”
Hawkins held a Haunted House yearly, Nancy and Jonathan helped out with it this year and they suggested that you guys go. You guys were just planning to rent a few horror movies and buy a whole bunch of candy and spend the rest of the night cuddling and what not. But, on the way to the candy store, Eddie spotted the Haunted House and decided to stop.
It’s not that scary. He told you, wrapping his arm around you as he handed the lady at the front 20 dollars.
You rolled your eyes, crossing your arms. You’ve always heard about how scary the Haunted House was from students at school, people saying it traumatized them. You highly doubted it, but still.
“You’re the guy. You should go first.” You defended.
“And you’re the lady. Ladies first.” He spoke, motioning towards the house with his hands.
“Fine.” You huffed, skipping over the puddle of fake blood. He follows behind, curling his finger into the belt loop on the back of your jeans so he won’t lose you.
Making your way up the doors, you enter the house preparing yourself for a jumpscare. There was nothing— just flickering lights and clown laughter, followed by a pathway.
You couldn’t really see anything, too dark to make out any of the decorations. You could see some fake cobwebs, well you hoped they were fake. There was fake blood splattered on the walls and the word “HELP” written in the blood.
The door suddenly slammed shutbehind you, making the two of you jump as Eddie pulled you closer. “Are you scared?” You whispered, trying to cover up the fact that you were the one scared.
“N-no. You?”
“No.”
You hesitantly took a few steps forward, entering the hallway and letting out a small screech as a clown popped out with a fake knife. Another clown followed, this time with two knifes. They both circled you and Eddie, their laughter echoing throughout the house. Eddie laughed with them, uncurling his finger from your belt loop.
“This isn’t even scary. I’ll go first.” He said confidently, pushing you behind him and grabbing your hand as he bravely traveled through the hallway. More clowns popped out, but he was just getting a kick out of your reaction.
It wasn’t until he felt a dull claw move up and down his shoulder, Eddie just scoffed thinking it was you but when he turned around, you weren’t there. It was a very realistic Freddy Krueger instead that appeared behind him, his razor-claw hand reaching out to grab Eddie. Eddie yelped, making his way outside the Haunted House as fast as he could— his heart beating in his ears. He ignored all the scary people that popped out, escaping the Haunted House and gasping.
“What the hell—“ You burst out into a fit of laughter, watching as Eddie’s horrified facial expression turn into a very annoyed one at your figure. You hold your stomach, throwing your head back, you couldn’t help yourself.
“Oh… my… god!” You pointed at Eddie, his pale face going back to it’s normal color. He lightly slapped your hand away, readjusting himself.
“H-how’d you get out here?” He asked, catching his breath as he clutched his chest. He looked back at the house, squinting at all the people coming out with either horrified or terrified looks on their faces.
“Nancy told me about this shortcut that lead outside.” You spoke, pointing to the door that you could barely see by the bushes. “What happened to you?”
“What? Nothing. Wasn’t even scary.” He lied, fixing his hair. “Let’s just get some candy and go home. Maybe we can watch Thirteen Candles or Pretty in Pink?”
“Pretty in Pink? Thirteen Candles? Why would you want to watch those, isn’t it Halloween? Didn’t we rent Nightmare on El—“
“No! No Freddy Krueger.” He exasperated, shaking his head as he looked back at the house.
“Nightmare on Elm Street.” You corrected him, intertwining your guys’ hands as you dragged him to his van.
“I don’t care what it’s called! No Freddy Krueger!”
“Okay, fine. Thirteen Candles it is.” You smirked, “Or we can watch your buddy, Freddy Krueger—“
“No!”

Title: 'Tied to one' part three
Pairing: Poly!Mikaelson x Black!Witch!Reader
Summary: Hayley had gone to a undoing the Mikaelsons soulstrings to Y/N and to have Elijah tied to the hybrid. Not only did it undid the strings it also had brought back Mikael and Esther along with the second oldest Original.
Warnings: Angst, Jealous Mikaelsons, Hayley being kinda of bitch, Reader being a shy bean, Soft Finn
A/N: holy another long part Batman 😳 I am really enjoying doing this series.
Hayley went to the witch that she was going to check out with Elijah but since the noble vampire and his siblings found their soulmate, Elijah was more focus on Y/N instead of Hayley.
"This spell is powerful. Are you sure you want this? The price for this is great."
"Whatever it takes. Just do the spell." Hayley said glaring at the witch who swallowed knowing she'll die after doing the spell as to rewrite a soulstrings could disrupt the balance of nature. Hayley woke gasping feeling an arm tighten around her and Elijah's scent hit her nose and felt him nuzzle her neck.
"It's too early to be awake baby." Elijah's voice husky from sleep making Hayley flush as she realized that she was bare. Hayley looked seeing it was 7AM and heard Klaus with Hope then felt Elijah's hand move along her waist.
"Elijah?"
"Hmm?" Elijah acknowledge Hayley as he placed kisses along her neck pulling her closer and Hayley caught a glance at her string that was tied to Elijah's finger and couldn't help but notice three other strings tied to hers.
"Hum...what...happen last...night?"
"Did you drink too much last night?" Marcellus threw a party then Niklaus and I took you to bed which you took us both so well." Elijah says as Rebekah walked in without a care surprising Hayley when the vampire kissed her.
"You and Nik wasn't too rough on her, right?"
"Never Rebekah." Elijah says kissing Hayley's shoulder before getting out of bed and Rebekah began to dress Hayley. The hybrid walked out a little overwhelmed of the fact she took Y/N's place to which she noticed the witch wasn't in the compound as it was like that the witch didn't even step foot in the place.
"What happened to Y/N?"
"Y/N? Who is that?" Kol asked confused as the others looked at Hayley confused as Hayley realized the spell the witch did had work though Hayley only wanted Elijah.
"Nothing, I was just thinking of a character of a book." Hayley said sitting next to Elijah as everyone took her word unaware of what was coming their way. Mikael woke in a tomb with the thought of killing Klaus while Esther had woke where Klaus left her last frowning when she didn't see Finn. The second oldest Mikaelson had woke before his mother and saw his string having a burst of color and went to follow it to his soulmate.
Y/N flet like something was wrong as four of her strings was a ash gray yet one was a warm orange and brown with swirls of gold mixing with her pastel colors but she couldn't ignore the magic over the other four. Y/N rush down the street carrying a bag of herbs and bumped into a man who quickly caught her from falling.
"Oh.....sorry." Y/N breathed staring at the man getting lost in his hazel-green eyes as the string on her finger glowed and the man stared into her chocolate eyes. Soulmate echoed through Finn's head and now he was going to focus on her no longer caring about Esther's mission.
"No my fault. I'm Finn Mikaelson......your soulmate."
"Oh hum....I'm Y/N L/N." Y/N said flushing when Finn kissed her hands and he noticed the ash gray string.....dead soulmates this made his heart ache at the idea that Y/N had ready lost four soulmates.
"Witch?"
"Yes....an old one..... I was just getting some herbs." Y/N said as Finn held his arm out to his little soulmate and the urge to protect her filled him.
"Allow me to take you home."
Klaus stormed into the compound tearing a stake from his chest getting the others attention right away. Elijah stood pulling away from Hayley worried about Klaus watching the Original hybrid pour a drink.
"What happen Niklaus?"
"Our father happen! Mikael is some how alive again." Klaus growled angry as Elijah narrowed his eyes as Freya frowning walking into the den getting their attention.
"Freya is something wrong?"
"Finn isn't in the pendant.....I can't feel his soul."
"First Mikael now Finn what's next? Our mother?" Rebekah asked as they all looked at one another unaware of Hayley's worried face. Hayley left the den to check on Hope as Freya went to do a spell to Finn and Kol leaned back looking at the others.
"Hey do guys feel like something is missing? I know that Mikael is important and a missing Finn but lately I have been feeling a dull heartache."
"Yes and the ash gray string....are we going to ignore it?" Rebekah asked as they looked at the second string seeing how dark the string was. Klaus and Elijah knew what both Rebekah and Kol was talking about.
"A dead soulmate we never met? Though it is impossible as soulmates always find one another." Elijah said as Klaus stood from his chair he sat in.
"We'll deal with it later at the moment our loving father is alive."
Finn watched Y/N make some kind of potion for her protection rituals as the three months he spent with her was the most joy he had ever felt in a millennium as she made him feel alive. The vampire moved behind her placing his hands on her hips nuzzling her neck taking in her scent relaxing against her making the witch smile reaching up rubbing his cheek and he turn his head kissing her palm.
"You seem clingy today Finn."
"Only for you my beloved. Are you feeling better today?"
"I am so is our little jelly bean." Y/N said as Finn placed a hand on her abdomen listening to the small heartbeat. A sudden crash caught Finn's attention and he quickly place his soulmate behind him growling lowly fangs showing feeling Y/N grip the back of his shirt.
"Protective of your little witch, brother?" Finn heard Klaus say as the oldest Mikaelson stood straight glaring at the hybrid as Elijah and Hayley walked in. Y/N peeked out from behind the tall vampire seeing the other Mikaelson brothers feeling an urge to hold them fill her.
"What do you two want?"
"Our mother and father has been back for awhile now. Niklaus and I hoped you knew where mother was."
"I haven't seen her, Elijah. I have been focused on my soulmate." Finn says as the two looked at Y/N feeling the need to kiss her filled them as an ache settled in their chests hearing a soft heartbeat coming from her. Elijah was snapped out of his thoughts when Hayley held his hand making him smile as Y/N felt hurt for some reason but shook it off.
"Your witch uses old magic maybe she can find mother or father. Her magic won't be sensed my mother."
"It is up to her."
"We should help them my big bear." Y/N says softly still staying behind Finn feeling shy as she clings to her vampire while Klaus smirked looking at Elijah.
"A bear? Elijah, I thought our brother was the boar."
"He is, Niklaus."
"He isn't a boar! He is a bear!" Y/N said shouting at them narrowing her eyes at them then squeaked when the three looked at her.
"Stop scaring her. We'll help."
Freya was so happy to see Finn even more learning her brother found his soulmate too while both Kol and Rebekah stared at the young witch feeling the need to rush to hold her. Y/N was beautiful in their eyes as it seemed her mocha skin was glowing as Finn was carrying her things talking to Freya about the spell Y/N would be doing.
"So you're Finn's soulmate." Y/N heard a voice say and look seeing Kol standing in the door away watching the black beauty working on a spell as Kol thought it was odd that he could see her strings but was drawn back to her cute face.
"I'm Y/N and you must be Kol." Y/N said smiling as Kol spotted her tarot cards and walked in sitting down.
"Can you give me a tarot reading?"
"Yeah I can. I need to leave this sitting anyway." Y/N said shuffling the cards and had Kol pick four cards. Hayley stopped hearing Kol and Y/N while seeing Finn and Elijah watching from the doorway.
"What do they say?" Kol asked watching the witch frown as she looked over the cards then looked at Kol.
"Someone close to you is lying to you, something is not real or not what it seems." Y/N said as Kol stared at the cards and how all this felt familiar. Kol looked at her and his heart skipped a beat as he swore a memory flashed in his mind.
"What do they say?"
"Hmmm something good is in your future." She says making Kol smile brightly staring at her in awe as Elijah comb though her hair loosening her curls letting them fall down her back.
"Is that good thing you, baby?" Elijah asked the witch as he kissed her neck making her flush while Kol smirked enjoying how Elijah flirted with her.
"You alright Kol?" Elijah asked snapping the vampire from his thoughts and just got up leaving in a hurry confusing them all. Y/N looked at Elijah worry on her face as Elijah looked at her feeling the urge to cup her cheek to soothe the witch.
"Did I do something wrong?"
"No beloved." Finn said moving down kissing her forehead as jealousy fill Elijah watching Finn with Y/N. Hayley stepped up to Elijah pulling his attention to her as he gave her a smile.
"I'm sure Kol is fine. Maybe your tarot cards are wrong?"
"Her cards are never wrong." Finn says noticing the worry on Hayley's face but Y/N grabbed his attention.
"I found your mother. She is in the Ninth ward hiding with the witches."
"Stay here with Freya. I don't want you hurt." Finn tells you as much like Elijah the other three felt jealousy fill them seeing Y/N cup his face placing a gentle kiss on his lips.
"Return to me safe. Return to us safe."
"I will my beloved." Finn says smiling as his siblings saw their ash gray strings spark with color before dying out. The siblings left unaware that Mikael was headed for the Abattoir while they headed for Esther and soon Hayley's mistake was about to com ed to light.

Perhaps them being protective over you(the reader)? Mostly platonic but hints of romantic(if you get what I mean?) Like, the relationship between them has been platonic and they’ve only really seen it has platonic, but someone(the Heroes) might be catching feelings. Also if it isn’t too much trouble do you think you could keep this in the same timeline? Like, your other scenarios had the same reader and felt like these all happened at some point, can you do the same for this one? I hope this isn’t too much trouble, really love your blog!💖💖💖
Masterlist
Ok, I think I get what you mean. The Hero is protective with a hint of feelings they haven't come to terms with. They're crushing but they don't know it yet.
I don't know what you mean by the same timeline though. It wasn't supposed to be the same reader for all of them but hey! It be like that sometimes, I guess! Especially if they're just friends.
The Reader is also set to be the same age as Wind for his scenario.
Warrior's got longer than intended and there is some catcalling in that one. FYI
Scenario under the cut!
Legend
"You can be seriously going out in that." Legend couldn't help but snap. The group had been dropped into a snowcapped mountain in the middle of a blizzard. The only luck they had on their side was a nearby cave where they all but ran to in an attempt to weather the storm and get their bearings.
But someone still had to scout and you were planning to take Wild and Twilight with you since they were the only ones who could both brace the cold and most likely find their way back.
He, however, didn't like the idea of you going out there period.
Even less so when he found you severely underdressed compared to your companions.
It seemed however, that you saw no problem with it, even going as far as to tilt your head and look down at what you were wearing at his comment. It sparked something in Legend's chest that he wasn't willing to decipher at the moment.
"What's wrong with it?" You asked.
"Are you serious right now?" Legend scowled. The top you wore was tight around your chest and the cloak that clasped at the front billowed around you ever so slightly from the wind at the front of the cave. There were thin layers of furs under your linen over shirts that matched the fur lining your boots outlining your figure and silhouette in a way he found irritating.
The light that barely peaked through the clouds lit up your form gave you a halo of light over your head and made you look more of a hero than he ever would have pictured you.
It didn't sit well with him.
"That doesn't nearly look warm enough. If you plan on going out in that then you'll freeze within the first ten minutes." He crossed his arms and stared you down, willing you to disagree, to challenge him, keep you here longer so one of the others can pick up the lack and go instead.
"It's bear fur Legend." You reply instead with an easy grin your face. He elected to ignore it because he was trying to stay mad and irritated at the lack of care you seemed to have for your own safety. Why weren't the others backing him up?! Wouldn't Twilight have said something by now?! Or Time?!
Why was it just him?
How dare you smile like that? And at him no less! He's trying to make a point, darn it! It's hard to concentrate when you look so... innocent and bright and happy and-
Focus Link.
"I actually have four layers on as well." You continue and peel back what you can to show him what your clothing looks like. Unknowingly giving him a great look at your figure beneath said layers. "Two layers of wool and two of fur and I still have my clothes under here as well. Without enchantments like Wild, it's probably the warmest thing here. I'll be alright."
He can't bring himself to believe it.
He grits his teeth and continues to look at you, not bothering to spare a glance at Wild or Twilight when they eventually join your side, both now ready to head out.
"Honestly Legend. I know it doesn't look like much but I grew up around snow and ice and mountainous storms. If anyone knows what they're doing here, it's me."
He knows this. You told him. He knows that he knows this.
Why can't he believe it?
His hand forms a fist with a tight grip and he gets an idea.
Before he can fully think it through, he's marching up to you and snatches up your hand before you can protest.
You haven't put on your gloves yet so it's skin on skin.
He can't think much of it or he'll lose his nerve and he's already gone too far to go back now or he'll only be making a fool of himself.
Legend all but rips the most powerful ring he has on his person and shoves it onto your own. It's a protection ring, it'll shield you if anything tries to hurt you.
He's not entirely sure why he cares so much, just that he does, and this is all he can do if no one is going to back him up and stop you from going.
"I want this back." He says. He knows it sounds meaner than he's intending but then you let him put it on, take your hand back and marvel at it for a moment.
"I'll protect this with my life." You flex your hand, testing out how it feels and wonder what magic it must posses for Legend to not only give it up but deem it worth for the storm outside.
"Thanks Vet." You grin brighter and Legend finds himself floundering for a moment at the intensity of it.
The tips of his turn red, he knows this and he forces himself to distance himself or else the others would notice.
Your trio disappears into the white and he sits down by the fire made for the smaller ones of the group. He hasn't made eye contact with anyone since you left and he makes the mistake of trying to casually play it off by looking up.
Time is watching him with a knowing smile on his face.
"What?" Legend barks and scowls at the attention.
The older man just laughs a bit to himself and shakes his head but he doesn't say anything.
Legend thinks back on his actions a little sooner than he thinks he should and glances at his hand. The hand that grabbed yours.
Despite the journey, your hands were so soft.
He can't help but smile.
Time
Time was watching the over the group for the morning shift, his hand over his sword and his eyes watching... well you.
You intrigued Time.
Out all the heroes of courage on this journey, you weren't one of them. You weren't a Link and yet you seemed to fill a gap the group didn't know it had.
He couldn't figure out why or how but he found himself wanting to know what made you tick, why did you work so well with the others, what your world was like, and how did it mold you to be so....
He had trouble finding a word for it.
As the boys rough housed and played around, he found himself relaxing. It was a quiet morning and he had the added support of Wolfie on look out for any monsters.
He put his sword down and and walked over to where you were.
You were sitting with a book in your lap, something he found you doing often. But this time you were ignoring the book, laughing at Wind's and Wild's antics as they blasted each other with their Deku leaves. Wind continuously knocked the Champion around but neither of them seemed to mind.
If anything, it appeared the were doing on purpose and were trying to see how far he'd go.
Boys.
He could feel the smile on his face as he made his way toward you.
"Enjoying the theatrics?" He spoke up.
You jumped with a small yelp, something he found endlessly entertaining.
"You're the biggest guy here! How are you so quiet?!" You yelled in his face with a pointed finger and hand on your chest.
Time chuckles and sits down next to you, sitting just close enough for your knees to brush. "Sorry. It's not always intentional, I promise."
"So you admit you do it on purpose!!" You turn to face him fully. Book absolutely forgotten.
Time finds himself pleased by the change.
"Occasionally." He grinned.
"Oh, and I so happen to be your favorite victim then?" You crossed you arms and leaned closer to him. Your words were biting but the smile on your face was teasing and the glint in your eye was knowing.
"Of course."
"You're impossible." You shove him away. "You're only like this because no one will ever suspect you."
"Is that so- LOOK OUT!" Time had noticed a second too late but in the seconds Time stopped paying attention to them, Wind and Wild had stopped launching each other and started launching objects.
Such objects like coconuts and hard wooden barrels.
Like the ones heading in your direction.
With no time to act, he grabs you and rolled out of the way, pressing you into his chest. The huddling objects bounced off of your spot, some exploding on impact while the rest crashed into the nearby trees and bushes.
It looked like a war zone.
Time held onto you for a second after the damage passed, waiting for any else to come your way. When nothing appeared, he began to let you go, looking down on you to see your reactions. "You ok?"
You had curled yourself into his chest, continuing to press yourself close to him even after he let go.
Time finds himself pleased by this as well.
"Well..." You took a deep breath and slowly looked up and around. "That was exciting."
"Are you hurt?" He asked again. You looked fine, if only a little shaken, but he wanted to hear you say it.
"I think my leg got scratched in the chaos."
Time forces himself to stay calm and to not show any reaction. A scratch is better than getting hit head on. You'll be fine.
"What about you?" You look up to him again, eyes wide and bigger than he remembers and they were such a lovely color-
"I'm more concerned about you." He says, cutting his own thought process off. Time proceeds to get up, being as gentle as he can with you still in his arms. "I did just happen to grab you."
"Well, I'm sure it would have been worse if you hadn't." You grin at him and push yourself away.
Time now finds that he misses the feeling of you there but isn't able to focus on why when the two culprits are running up to you at break neck speeds.
"Are you two ok?!" Wind reaches you first.
"We're so sorry, we miscalculated the angle and it went wildly off our target." Wild continues and helps you to your feet.
Wind hovers near Time, unsure of what to do or how to help.
Time looks over to where you are, breathless but smiling dazzlingly. "We're ok." You tell Wild. "Just thrown around is all, we're fine."
Time sighs and stands up, putting his serious face on. "You boys better have a good explanation for this."
They could have hurt someone. They almost hurt you. His only consolation is how they squirm under his gaze.
Good.
Wind
"What the hell? What the hell? What the hell? What is this place?!"
Wind looked over his shoulder from the fight over to where you were, the monster he was fighting falling before him. It was a great thing in his eyes to no longer be the youngest of the group. Not only for there to be someone of his age to talk to but also get the group off of his back for some of their more dramatic attempts at keeping him safe.
Wind was having a blast.
Everyone had found a dungeon in the sense that they fell into it against their knowledge and will and had happened to land with partners.
He hopes so anyway.
But on his end, he's with you!
And he's loving it!
You've never judged him and you've always thought that his stories were great and this was a great opportunity to show you how cool he is in a fight without the others trying to stop him from doing all his cool stuff.
And as an added bonus, he loves spending time with you!
Wind was close to wishing on stars for more time to spend alone with you. The others were always around and always in his business. How lucky that it seems he got his wish without doing that little kid stuff, like star wishing.
He didn't take into account that this might be your first dungeon though.
...Guess you didn't have those in your world...
But that's fine! He'll just walk you through it. They're easy once you get a groove going, and as dungeons go, this one is old hat for him.
The enemies around you fall within minutes and you're a little more shaken up than he likes.
"You ok?" He puts his sword on his back and walks toward you. You're staring at the fallen enemy in front of you with your own sword still raised. There's a slight cut on your arm, a red line going across and down, but Wind is almost certain that the cut is across...the blood is just going down your arm.
Wind takes a moment to quiet the sudden and unexpected rage. The monsters are lucky, he thinks, that they're already dead.
He grips his wrist tightly at the sight and places his other hand on your own. You gulp slightly and look at him tearfully. "Wind, where are we?"
You're scared, he realizes.
Scared, and alone and you don't know what kind of place this is.
There's another cut just above your eye and there more blood going down your face.
Wind feels himself fill with determination. He has the experience you lack to make it through here. He has been in more fights than you have. He knows what he's doing.
He's going to make sure you get out of here without being afraid anymore.
"Come on." Wind lets himself go and places his hand on top of yours, gently pushing the sword down and make a small effort to lace your fingers together. His other hand grips his sleeve and he begins to swipe it across your face, trying to clean the blood the best he can. "We're going to find the others, ok? We just have to keep going and if we're lucky we'll find a map, maybe a compass and it'll help us get out of here. We'll be back with the others in no time!"
You gulp and nod, tightening your grip on his hand and let him lead you through the unknown. Your voice is quiet and soft and Wind finds that he wants to hear it more often like this...just not laced with fear. "Ok. I trust you."
Wind nearly preens at your words, a large smile overtaking his face.
He'll protect you and you won't have to be afraid, not while he's here.
"Just leave it to me. I got this."
Warrior
"Whatup, Captain?" Warrior feels a weight be thrown on his shoulder at the call of the voice.
He looks to the side where it is and throws an easy smile on his face.
It's you! And you're grinning fabulously in his direction.
"Nothing in particular. Just checking our supplies, we might need to make a supply run in the nearest town for potions if we're lucky enough to find one but..." He looks at the bag in front of him with slight distain.
Truthfully, the group is low on a lot of stuff. Food, medical and magic supplies, someone is going to have to buy the Veteran more sewing supplies as well with how much battery all your clothes have taken on.
It would have to be a big buy....
A small town probably won't have half the stuff they need. And he doesn't know what kind of budget he's working with either.
But he's dealt with worse with less.
The group will hold on for a little longer if nothing drastic happens.
But Warrior doesn't want you to know that. If he had things his way, he'd let you think that everything was ok. That everything was fine and under control.
He's used to having to keep dire news from the troops so that they can keep fighting the good fight.
Lying to you though feel wrong. Dirty.
He finds your complete trust in him endearing and your willingness to help him with any and all loads on his shoulders means more to him than he'd ever be willing to tell you to your face.
You brighten and throw a thumb in the direction behind you. "We're in luck then. There's a town, that-a way according to Wild's weird telescope from his slate. I was planning to go check it out regardless but was in need of a partner. Wild can't because Twilight benched him after last fights stunt. Maybe we can kill two birds with one stone?"
That idea sounds fantastic.
"I'd love to." He says easily. "Got anything to do before we head out?"
"Nope. Ready to leave immediately." You get off of him and he follows after you without missing a beat, quickly falling into sync with your steps. It's a habit he has trouble breaking, but if he can focus on matching your stride instead, he can stay by your side for the walk.
"We're getting supplies from the town. Be back soon!" He calls out to Time and the group as you walk by.
Time raises his hand in acknowledgement and goes back to pinning Wild down with his stare alone. Warrior doesn't feel sorry for him.
With that taken care of, you both pick up your speed and quickly leave the range of your little camp. Jokes are traded easily between you two and Warrior finds himself relaxing.
It's a strange feeling but one he knows that he can share with you.
You put him at ease and there's something about you that calls for his attention.
Maybe it's your attitude. Maybe it's your determination. Maybe it's the way you fight and the grace you carry yourself with.
You're a good fighter, a good team mate, and a good person.
You take care of the others. You take care of him.
He doesn't know how to thank you.
Warrior notices that you both reach the town in record time, the conversation seeming making time a useless way measure distance.
You both walk in and begin with Warrior's shopping list since it has a higher priority than simply exploring.
Warrior makes a promise to himself to find something for you.
A small gift, if you will.
He's not entirely sure what you like just yet but he thinks you deserve something nice and if he's here to buy nice things, then why shouldn't you get something as well.
The trouble is getting it without you seeing him buy it, or figure out his plan.
You were always able to read him like a book.
"Lookin' good sweetheart!" A voice calls from the side. A loud and obnoxious voice followed quickly by multiple cheers and whistles.
Warrior instantly has a spike in irritation and he forces himself to not shout back. He's used to this. It happens sometimes back home. He's not surprised it can carry elsewhere. There's pigs everywhere.
He ignores them.
"Why don't you leave your boy toy and come find out how a real man can treat you darlin'?!" Another one comments. More cheers and howls.
Boy toy?
That's new.
Warrior looks in their direction and comes to a startling discovery.
They're not looking at him. THEY'RE LOOKING AT YOU.
Now... Warrior likes to think he's a rational man. He's good at keeping his head on straight in tough situations. He's good under peer pressure and under stress.
He takes one look at you and sees your smile gone, your head is down and your face is red in shame, anger and embarrassment.
But you don't say anything in reply and only shuffle closer to him, trying to get in front of him so he'll shield you from their gaze.
Warrior is a rational man.
Many would agree with that.
He wants to tear their heads off.
"Come on baby, don't be that way! As easy as your back is to watch, we want to get a good look at your pretty little face!"
Warrior turns suddenly and faces them all head on. "Thank you for the compliment doll face! I'm new in town and just passing through but maybe-"
He starts walking towards them as sultry as he can manage, pulling on every acting cell he has in his body.
Which is a lot if you ask him.
The tactic works as he wants it to. Warrior knows he wasn't their target and the idea of him responding instead throws them off their rhythm.
"No, no, wait-" One of them holds a hand up and takes a step back. "Not you."
"Who else darlin'?" He mimics their drawl and smirks at their instant discomfort. "You want a good time?"
"I'm leaving." One of them says after a second of horror shows on his face and not so subtlety turns on his heel and leaves. The third follows without saying anything and it just leaves Warrior and the first caller.
Warrior likes these odds.
He drops the act and lets his murderous intent shine on his face. "Got anything else to say?"
Warrior reaches for his sword and the idea finally gets through the guy's head. Leave us alone or else.
"...No." He says and finally leaves as well, not looking back at either of you.
Warrior nods at his retreating form and returns to you, a little ashamed by how long it took him to react. For your sake.
His head is low when he reaches you and he scratches the back of his neck instead of making eye contact.
"Um... What do you want to do now?" He asks lamely. By Hylia, he wants to kick himself into oblivion.
A small snort catches his attention and he snaps his head up.
You're looking at him, hand over your mouth and crinkled eyes giving away your not so hidden smile. Your shoulders are shaking and it only grows as he stares at you.
You're not mad? He has trouble believing it because he's still furious.
A small bark of laughter escapes without your consent and it's the last wall to break as the dam flows out. You're laughing hysterically and it's beginning to scare him a little.
"D-Did you see their faces?!" You nearly scream. "Oh my god, Warrior, I love you. That was amazing."
Warrior shakes off the shock and feels himself blush. "It wasn't that special..."
"Wasn't that-? Oh boy, I wish Wild was here. I would have loved to get a picture! Warrior that was awesome. I'm so glad that you agreed to come with me." You walk beside him and grab his hand, beginning to drag him through the town. "You know what? I owe you. I have some rupees and we're not expected to come back to camp yet. You want something? I'll get it for you. My treat. Anything you want."
Warrior begins to flounder, and he's uselessly dragged behind you while your grin grows with every second that you talk.
While this all happens and you talk about the ways you plan to treat him, Warrior starts to think that he might just do anything for you.
Hyrule
Hyrule was busy enjoying the scenery of their most recent trip. He had managed to sneak away from the group and walk around the area without having to worry about the others for a moment.
The quiet was nice and familiar. The place was new and begging for him to explore what it had to offer.
Hyrule... found himself wishing for companionship, weirdly.
Well, as long as his travel companion is you.
He supposed Wild would have been just the same....but he found himself wanting to be with you instead.
He just... he doesn't know why. It doesn't bother him.
There's just.... He has trouble finding the words.
You're warm and gentle and it reminds him of casting his Life spell on himself before he met the others. There's a sense of safety, of calm.
A cool breeze on a warm summer's day.
A smile creeps on his face at the thought of you. Hyrule knows that he does it often but he still can't bring himself to care about it.
"Oh my- NO! HEY!" He hears your voice. Panicked, frantic and shrill.
And it gets cut off.
It's a bucket of ice water dumped over him. His heart launches into his throat and his stomach drops to his feet. His feet are moving in the direction towards you before he even realizes it.
Hyrule has reached a full on sprint and has to continue to run when he fails to find you. He takes a moment to be grateful for his stamina and how he's used to running but you're not.
At least he doesn't think so.
But he hopes this isn't where he finds out.
He trips over something. A sharp pain cuts across his shin as he falls to the ground, palms barely sustaining damaged thanks to his armor.
Hyrule gets up and sees something even worse than what he thought.
It's your sword.
You don't have your sword.
You're unarmed and alone.
Hyrule picks himself up and your sword and continues running at an even quicker pace.
He reaches you eventually and feels unadulterated rage flood through his system.
There's a pig monster over you, cheering and dancing in victory. There's only one. He thinks it's one of Wild's bokoblins but he calls on his magic and sends his sword straight through the monsters beating heart.
There's no black blood as it falls.
He sprints even more in your direction and begins to cradle your head, gently checking for blood any injuries.
He lets the healing spell move through his fingers to catch whatever he might be missing, whatever he can't see or get to without hurting you further.
He can feel what areas need the attention the most and can almost reconstruct the attack.
There's a large bump on your head, most likely the hit that knocked you unconscious.
Your arm is scratched and multiple pieces of skin have been torn off but it's a graze more than anything, it's not bleeding and doesn't goa any deeper than that.
Probably the hit that knocked your sword out of your hand.
There's a bruise blossoming on your knee and on your stomach and he has trouble figuring out what came first. They could have come from your fall or the beast could have simply hit you again.
The magic works its way through your system and subsequently heals him as well from his own minor injuries.
There's no way you can wake up fast enough and it leaves his heart pounding in his chest.
Hyrule knows when there's nothing left to heal and has to force himself to stop before he overexerts himself. The uncertainty is killing him. Just when he was hoping to spend time with you alone, this happens.
You groan and begin to sit up, your hand going to your head before realizing that it doesn't hurt and that you're not alone.
"Hyrule...Hey." Your voice is soft and a smile overtakes your face. You looks around and sit up straighter when you catch the dead body of the monster not two feet from you. "Guess that's your doing?"
Hyrule nods and moves to give you space, reaching his hand out for you to take. "How are you?"
"Good, all things considered...." You shrug and pick up your sword. Hyrule didn't even notice that he dropped it. "I was looking for you."
A mix of emotions fills his heart. Guilt at being the cause of it. Relief that at least you're together again. Happiness, strangely, at the thought of you thinking about him.
"Well I'm not lost, just..." He nervously looks up to you, his hand coming to scratch the back of his neck. "Got left behind."
"We noticed." Your smile fills with mirth and it's borderline a smirk.
Hyrule is not prepared by the realization that he finds that incredibly attractive.
"Thanks for coming to my rescue." You say, wrapping your arm with his. "The rest of the group is over here by the way."
"Yeah... Yeah ok." He grins and tightens his grip around your arm. "Let's meet up with our friends."
Yeah....friends...That's just what friends do.
Why does he feel weird about it?
Twilight
"On a scale of one to ten, how hard is it to learn how to ride a horse?"
Twilight looked around Epona's form, pausing his motion in brushing her to see you leaning up against her, a hand on her neck and brushing ever so slightly.
"Some people are more natural than others I suppose..." Twilight responded, an idea forming in his mind. "But it's not difficult."
You nodded in response and continued to pet the best girl around.
"I can show you how... If you want that is." Twilight grins to himself, leaning closer to Epona so you don't notice. The thought makes him giddy in a childlike way and he doesn't want you to be put off by his overexcitement.
You snap your head in his direction, a bright and excited smile on your face. "Really? I've always wanted to learn but I didn't want to impose."
Oh.
Out of everyone who could easily show you how to ride a horse, you came to him.
Well... doesn't that do something to his heart.
I mean, he is the only one with the horse but -DETAILS!!
He doesn't care for them.
"Here. Get on." He walks around and holds the reins, gesturing for you to get on Epona's back.
"Right now?" You're surprised, but delighted.
Twilight thinks it a good look on you.
"Sure. We're not going anywhere just yet and Epona can use a walk to stretch her legs." He says and helps you get up. Twilight is quick to follow after you and sit behind you, your back pressed up upon his chest.
"Ok, here's what you're going to do." He gives you the reins and places his hands over yours, leading you and Epona to where he thinks is a good place to go for a small trot.
It's effortless for him to lead you both through the trail.
Your trio actually pass by the group who are resting for lunch and wave to them as you go. Twilight catches the smile Time has on his face and is quick to put together that he knows something he doesn't. He'll ask Time about it later.
Twilight talks to you about how to hold the reigns, how to kick the horse into gear, how to steer and anything that he can think of that means safety for both you and the animal.
"Hey Twilight-" You mention suddenly and point just beyond the distance. "-Should we be concerned about that?"
Monsters, also on horses.
An arrow wizzes by suddenly, imbedding itself in Epona's side.
Shocked by the pain and scared by the suddenness of it, Epona takes off in a sudden sprint. Encouraged by the reaction, the monsters give chase.
Twilight notices that they don't have as much control over their chosen transportation.
He has the advantage.
Epona's first instinct is to run back to the group, back to the numbers and safety. Twilight knows better though, he can't lead the monsters to the group, even if he has a sizeable lead on them. He quickly turns her away, a plan forming in his mind.
You don't have weapons or back up, so this is going to get interesting.
"TWILIGHT!" You scream and throw yourself against him, covering your eyes with one and and gripping him tightly with the other. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
"Trust me!" He yells over the rushing wind. "I think I have a plan!"
"YOU THINK? You're crazy!" You reply, directly into his ear. "But I trust you... so I guess I am too!"
"That's the spirit!" He grins. Twilight knows Epona won't be able to do much more without injuring herself further and he doesn't want to make any reckless decisions with you right next to him.
He'd hate for you to no longer want to ride a horse over this bad experience.
"Hang on tight!" He finds himself yelling, adrenaline in his veins and he pushes Epona to go a little bit faster.
There's a cliff nearby, a ledge that if he can Epona to go fast enough, she can jump it.
The monsters may try to follow but Twilight is riding heavily on their lack on control and the horses will to stay safe.
Epona reaches it and jumps.
There's a moment of weightlessness and Twilight's heart floats up to his throat. You gasp, and fling yourself around to press your face into the crook of his neck.
Twilight takes one arm off of the reigns and wraps it around you, pressing you tightly into his chest.
Epona makes the jump, landing on the other side with a little more turbulence than Twilight is used to, but he'll blame her shot.
He slows her down and looks to the other side of the ledge.
The monsters do in fact try to follow but Twilight's gamble and intuition pays off. The horses stop just by the edge and several monsters fly off of their backs and down below. The other monsters who can't get by, stop in anger and scream from the other side.
But it appears they lost their archer to the abyss.
So you're safe.
"Oh my goodness..." You gulp and remove yourself from him. "Holy cow... You did it. You mad lad, you did it."
Twilight chuckles nervously and begins to lead Epona back to the camp, gentler and a little more aware now of how she's moving, how much she's been hurt.
"Is Epona ok?" You try to look around him and spot the injury, but there's not a lot of space on the saddle to manage that. He does it for you and sees that it's mostly blocked by the saddle itself, the arrow imbedded deep into the side, just missing the both of you.
Epona most likely only has a scratch and was more startled if anything.
Twilight's not happy about his girl getting hurt but knows that she's taken worse hits. He'll tend to her later, he's worried about you too.
"You ok?"
"Yeah, but Epona?" You insist.
"She's fine. It mostly hit the equipment. They were terrible shots." Twilight grins easily, taking the lead in steering Epona and leans into your back.
You laugh breathlessly and turn your head directly into his. It gives him a great view of your eyes and how they seem to glow in the light. He finds himself entranced and almost misses what you say completely.
"You're incredible, you know that?"
He nearly preens and he pulls himself back. "You think so?"
"Incredibly reckless." You snort. "You've lost your privileges' for yelling at Wild. You're just as bad as him."
"I-..." Twilight starts but can't finish.
"But hey, at least we're ok." You lean back and make yourself comfortable against him. "That could have been worse."
Twilight doesn't move a muscle while you're there, if you're comfy against him, then he'll keep you comfy. "Yeah. Sorry about freaking you out back there."
You go quiet for a moment and he wonders if he's ruined something. Twilight doesn't know if there's something to ruin actually, and he doesn't understand the thought now that he's had it. He doubts you'll stop being friends because of this, so that's not at threat. Monster attacks are not something new. But...
He wants to do this with you, for you.
He doesn't like the idea of you turning him down.
"I don't know..." You say eventually. "Maybe you can make it up to me by continuing these horse riding lessons. Maybe I'll forgive you then."
Twilight doesn't look at your face, he doesn't turn to look at you. He's afraid he'll give too much away on his face if he does.
"If you're still up for it?" It's question. It wasn't supposed to be a question.
You nod and fully relax, your heartbeat gently beating against his own. "Maybe less monsters next time?"
"Agreed." Twilight grins. "Not until after you learn to go out on your own."
"How about... No."
Wild
"Wild. I. Have a question." Wild looks up to your approaching form, tensing up in anticipation.
"Yeah, what's up?" He tries to grin naturally. Wild feels his heart start to beat faster and his face heat up. He gets nervous around you even if he wants to be by your side, but he doesn't know why.
He knows you're friendly and sweet and nice and incredibly smart and there should be no reason that you do this to him and yet he wants to impress you so bad....
But he doesn't know how.
"Your slate has that crazy inventory right? So you carry a whole bunch of stuff on you at all times?" You try to stand tall but you dip your head and thread your fingers through your hair.
You're nervous.
Now you really have his attention.
"Yeah. I might have enough stuff to rival the Veteran and he's known as the Collector as well." Wild sits back and tilts his head at you. "What's up?"
"I..." You start and bite your lip. Wild's eyes land on it and he focuses there for longer than he thinks is appropriate. "I just wanted to ask if I could borrow a sword if you had extra... Mine's about to break and I don't want Smithy on my case about it, since I don't have what I need to fix it. But....um...You know what, nevermind. It's not a big deal, I'll manage, I'll-"
"No! It's fine!" He shoots up to his feet and grabs your hand to keep you from leaving. "Got anything in mind? I've got claymores and short swords, elemental weapons and sheikah blades. I've got some cool boomerangs or clubs from monsters if you want those."
While he's talking, he brings up his slate and begins sliding through the pages and icons, bringing it up to your faces so you can get a better look at what he had to offer. He's quick to point out what weapon can do what and how he has one story for each of them.
He takes a look over to your face and is overjoyed when he sees that you're looking through the screen with as much fervor and excitement as he did when he first came into contact with his world's weapons.
"..." He sees your eyes lock on one of them and voice comes out in a giddy giggle. "This one."
"Which one?" He leans over and places a hand on your shoulder. You let him, or you don't notice but the fact that you don't shove him away makes in happy in a way.
You point to it and he has a brief moment of panic when he sees the one you want. It's one of Robby's creations, a sheikah chainsaw so to speak. It's one of the biggest weapons he has.
"OK." He gulps and takes it out. He presses the activation button and watches your face when it lights up the blade.
A large grin over takes your face when you see it and stare at it for a moment. The light is bright in your eyes and you let out a giggle that's borderline hysterical.
"This is awesome!" You make grabby hands at it and he hesitates to give it to you.
He likes that you like it....but he's suddenly not all to convinced that he should. Wild knows that he's reckless and that he gets hurt a little more than anyone appreciates but... What if you get hurt? With his weapon, no less?
The thoughts scares him a little more than he'll admit.
Maybe you should have that one.... Maybe a more... normal weapon would have been better?
You step away and give it a few experimental swings and his heart launches into his throat.
"Ho-ok!" Wild frantically opens his slate again and takes out a another weapon, a normal iron sword. "Take this one as well actually."
"One is enough Wild. Thank you but-"
"We don't want the others to get jealous, now do we?" He lies. "This way it'll be easier to explain...so maybe save that one for emergencies?"
"Alright." You press the button and stash the weapon away, taking the other sword from his hand. Your fingers brush and he tries to not jerk his hand back and make it awkward.
"For the others sake." You grin, and there's a glint in your eyes that makes him think that you're on to him.
But you don't mention it.
He won't plan to mention it either.
He'll gladly share anything else with you though. You just have to ask.
Four
"RUN! WE HAVE TO RUN!"
Four's head snaps up and he doesn't have the time to register why before you run past him and grab his hand, dragging him behind you.
"WHAT?!" Four yells next to you and matches his stride to your easily. "WHY ARE WE RUNNING?!"
"THEY'RE AFTER ME!" You cry and continue running, taking a sharp turn. "NO TIME TO EXPLAIN!"
Four isn't prepared for the level of rage and concern for your behalf as he begin to reach for his sword and turns around to fight whatever has you in a panic.
"Don't!" You pull his hand harder and nearly throw him off of his feet. "It's not worth it. Just run, maybe we can find a place to hide."
"What's after you?" He asks instead. How bad did it have to be that you didn't even want to fight back? Was it monsters? Did they have numbers on their side? Was it the weapons they had? Were they infected?
He'd gladly fight them for you.
But if it's bad... it's bad and he knows that infected monsters take more effort then they should and they're not something he can do alone.
"Here!" A smile appears on your face and with another sharp turn to press him close to your body and squeeze into a small space. There's no space between you two, it's chest to chest, completely up against each other and Four suddenly has a hard time concentrating.
Four says your name in an attempt to distract himself from your body and eyes the hand you press against his mouth in response.
"Shh..." You look outside the hidey hole and snap back in.
Familiar voices ring with mirth and exhaustion but they are not dangerous. Four finds it in himself to be a little miffed at there not actually being any danger but he keeps quiet at your request.
"Where do you think they went?" Wind has a grin in his voice.
"I don't know. I think they actually lost us." Wild replies in kind. "But they can't be far. It's not like they can out run us."
"You take the right and I'll take the left?" Wind offers and Four has to wonder what they want with you.
You keep your hand over his mouth for a moment longer before slowly retreating.
Four gulps and takes a breath. He's immediately assaulted by how you smell. It's weirdly not just sweat, but apple blossoms and some kind of herb that he's having trouble pin pointing.
It's intoxicating and despite the lack of personal space, Four thinks that this is the most comfortable place he's been in a while.
"Ok. I think they're gone." You turn and begin to shimmy out of the hole. "Sorry about that. They want me to do something dumb with... an item of mine and I don't have the heart to tell them no. So I ran... Which didn't really work because they followed."
Four follows out of the hole and brushes the front of him off. He places his hands on his hips and fixes you with a stare.
"And then I ran into you and I didn't want to explain everything but you're a good guy and you'd just tell them where I went because you wouldn't know and I didn't want to risk leaving you behind-"
A good guy?
"So you kidnapped me?" Four raises an eyebrow. "That was your solution?"
"Well... How else do I get your attention?" You mimic his position and look him in the eye.
Four's about to retort with something that you could do before he stops himself. It's... not something one would just say to a friend. But he finds the idea very appealing for a moment before being disgusted with himself for thinking that about you.
He rolls his eyes to change the conversation outwardly but he continues thinking about it. "There are easier ways to get my attention. One of them, for example, say my name."
"Hard to do, if all of you have the same name." You grin.
He smiles back.
Truthfully, now that he's thinking about it, a lot things that you do catch his attention.
The way you move your hands when you talk. The way you move when you fight. The sound of your laugh. The color of your hair and your eyes.
"Um..." You laugh nervously and scratch the back of your neck. "Would you mind staying with me for a moment longer? I uh- Don't know the way back and I don't want to risk running into either of them just yet But.. I did kidnap you, so if you have something better to do-."
Oh yeah, he'll stay with for for longer. He doesn't mind one bit.
Sky
Sky yawns and rubs at his eyes for a moment before turning his gaze back into the fire.
It's early.... like, stupid early. He hates getting up before the sun and would have gladly stayed in his bedroll... but it's his shift.
Admittedly, he doesn't mind being on watch.
But it's the whole concept of being up before the very time keeper in the sky that miffs him. His body wants to fight it and he typically has to put his whole bed roll away when it's his turn or else he'll be tempted to go back to it and sleep the rest of the night time away.
The only bonus, he supposes, is the chance to watch the sunrise.
It's so different on the surface than on Skyloft, there's more colors and it's not as blinding. He can't to experience more when he reaches his own time again.
The other bonus, he supposes, now that he's thinking about it, if the chance to watch over his new friends and that includes you.
You... Are just as mesmerizing as the sunrise, he thinks.
There's something about you that he finds completely captivating. Your endless colors and arrays of simplistic beauty keep his attention in ways he wouldn't have thought possible. Bringing peace and tranquility to the group when they need and being a signal to start the next leg of the adventure.
And yet, he can admit that it's nothing extraordinary.
You're not trying to impress anyone. It comes naturally to you.
Like the sunrise.
Sky smiles to himself and....he's mature to admit that he's glad he met you, and he think he'll miss you the most when this is all over.
When Sky comes back to the present instead of being trapped in his own head, he realizes that he's been staring at you for a while.
You're still sleeping.
He takes a breath. That wouldn't have been awkward. He prides himself on not being a creep, thank you very much.
You turn in your sleep and a sound escapes you.
Sky sits up a little straighter and watches you again. He knows that everyone has their fair share of demon to fight even when they're asleep. It wouldn't be all that surprising to learn that you had your own battles beyond daytime.
You move again, lifting your arm to fight whatever your brain says is in front of you and a gasp comes through.
Sky shoots up again begins to make his way over to you. He's careful not to wake the others but if he kicks Wind's on the way over, he won't mention it... It's not like that woke him up anyway.
When he finally reaches your side, you're shaking and moving side to side without knowledge of what is happening outside your own mind.
Sky nearly growls and kneels next to you.
"I wish I can fight those things for you..." He says out loud as he begins to gently shake your shoulder. "How dare they still plague you. They're not even here. Who gave them the right?"
You give out a small scream, something in your mind terrorizing you and it prompts Sky to shake you by both your shoulders until you wake up.
Your eyes shoot open with a gasp. You're covered in a cold sweat and breathing heavily. It takes you a while to realize where you are and who's in front of you but in the meantime you try fighting Sky off, still not fully aware that you're awake.
"Hey, hey, it's me." Sky takes a step back in hopes of calming you, even if it's the last thing he wants to actually do. "You're safe now. It's ok."
You finally stop and look at him, staring for a moment until he can see the moment when you see him. "...Oh..."
"You ok?" Sky takes the step forward. "That seemed rough."
"I... Um..."
"You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." He takes another step forward and places his hands on your shoulders. You're still shacking but instead of answering him you launch yourself into his arms.
Sky doesn't hesitate to hold you and lets you cry into his shoulder for as long as you need. He makes a vow to himself right then and there.
He's going to do his best to protect you... and the others. So that even if things get hard, maybe you'll have less nightmares to deal with.
If you'll let him, that is.
For now, he's going to hold you and be there for you when you need him.
It's... really all he can do.
