What is your thoughts on "the protagonist is actually insane/in a coma" fan theory?

Omg lowkey rant in the tags incoming, but outing myself here I used to be really into them back when they were popular. You name it, I‘ve probably heard of it and been genuinely into them, too.

But as fun as they are for babies first edgy fan theory, once the novelty wore off, they just suck out any fun and nuance of things for clickbait and edge. How dare a story be fantastical, surely the writers secretly conspired these minute details to overshadow the dark and sad reality lying underneath! And not just that they. Wanted to write something cool and fun.

Plus for me the fun thing about theories is that chance that it could be true, or the way things can build in fun way from there - the what if? But with these, it’s kinda…missing? "Ash is in a coma and pokemon are fake“. "The very happy girl in a happy kids show is addicted to antidepressants“. Ok. What now? There’s nothing to pull from here, no where to go, no lines to draw. It’s empty.

The one exception I‘ve got is when there’s some genuinely weird things going on with the worldbuilding and plot that it actually fits in as a proper theory. Then it’s cool! But in that case the " - is in a coma“ part is also just happenstance lol.

PWHL 2024-2025 Primer

It's that time of year again folks. PWHL starts on November 30th.

The sections of this primer are: What is the PWHL, Where can I watch, Rules/League Structure, Official league pages, journalists to follow, and an introduction to each team (what they did last year, who's on the team, notable players, you should root for them if you..)

What is the PWHL?

The Professional Women's Hockey League was created in 2023 and launched in January 2024. It is currently the sole professional women's hockey league in North America.

Heading into the 2024-2025 season, the PWHL has six teams: The Toronto Sceptres, Boston Fleet, Minnesota Frost, New York Sires, Montréal Victoire, and Ottawa Charge. Each team plays 30 regular season games per team. You can find the full season schedule here.

Where can I watch?

Disclaimer; We don't have an official 100% confirmation on the American and non-North American ones yet, just reports from journalists who I do deem trustworthy. I will edit any changes and highlight them in bold if necessary.

On Television/Streaming

Canadian fans will have games on TSN and its affiliates (such as TSN+) primarily, with select games on CBC and Prime video.

French broadcasts of Montreal games can be found on RDS (18), Radio-Canada (6) on ICI TÉLÉ and ICI TOU.TV

All fans not in Canada are available to stream on the PWHL Youtube regardless of location (so if you're "in market" there's no black outs like there is NHL games)

Last year regional games were held on: Bally Sports North in Minnesota, NESN/NESN+ in Boston, MSG/MSG+ in New York, Sportnet Pittsburgh has carried select games. Not 100% confirmed this will be the case last year. Even if your regional sports network carries it, however, you should be able to access it on Youtube in America

Who makes the playoffs and what do they look like?

Please keep in mind that with such a young league, it's possible this will be tinkered with.

Each game is worth three points: 3 for a regulation win, 2 for an overtime win, and 1 for an overtime loss

Last year, the PWHL had 4 of the 6 teams make the playoffs. The number one seed got to choose their opponent between the third and fourth seed.

All series were best of five series, the two semi finals and then the finals.

If you are an NHL fan looking to jump in, here are the differences in the PWHL. The rulebook is also here.

Bodychecking is allowed in the PWHL, so long as it is done in an attempt to play the puck or gain possession. While women's hockey has always been physical, bodychecking at this level is fairly new, the SDHL in Sweden started to allow it just in 2021 and then the PWHL last year, so refs and players are adjusting in how they're going to draw the line between legal and illegal. This is also not the case in international competition, so it is a little different than the olympics or worlds if you are used to watching those.

The PWHL has a "jailbreak rule" which means that if you are shorthanded and score, the penalty ends.

In shootouts, a player can go as many times as they'd like.

New this year is the "No Escape" rule where players of a penalized team are required to stay on the ice to start the penalty kill.

Coaches can challenge delay of game puck over glass penalties.

Hits to the head, headbutting, and grabbing an opponents helmet strap, throat protector, or hair is an automatic major penalty and game misconduct.

(Pre-Calamity) - Isha is the jewelsmith of Gerudo Town and owns a small business. She and Ganondorf used to date when they were young, but Isha realized that Ganondorf wasn't really taking their relationship seriously and broke up with him. There was a brief awkward moment between them where they wouldn't speak, even though they didn't resent each other. In the end, they both end up being friends. Ganondorf goes to her for either advice or to hang out, Isha is Ganondorf's only friend in Gerudo Town. (Post-Calamity) - Isha moved away and got married to a Hylian man from the Eldin region. However, later down the line, she divorced her husband and moved back to Gerudo Town to continue her business. She had difficulty keeping her business afloat. Lady Nabooru had to move the town underground for everyone's safety, making it difficult for travelers and people within the town to buy her jewelry. She decided to change her business to a fashion one; she created robes and clothing for people to wear, which was a hit. However, she still makes jewelry in her off time in hopes it gets picked up again like how it used to be.

Okay are you ready for the fosternames? In the end we went with the vegetable names since a Kotelet is a big piece of meat and it really should have some vegetables around it you know, blanced diet

On the left we have the smallest of the bunch Spruitje (Brussels sprout) which fits bc Spruitje is also a term of endearment for a small child. She likes to climb all the way on top of Kotelet to nap so I'll hope she'll be a great lap kitty! She needs a bit more time figuring things out like walking but I think it's because she's smaller en therefore taking her time building mussle.

On the right we have the artist previously known as White Baby, 3 week record holder of the fattest baby award and almost a full 100 grams heavier than his sister. He gets the fitting name of Witloof (chicory, the white kind), another classis Belgian vegetable. He's the only boy of the bunch, always the first to figure something new out and the one that travels the furthest from Kotelet (which she hatesss)

Next up we have the two tabbies with socks, who I just took a quick pic of before their medicine and you can guess who got convinced I was trying to eat her or something. the left one has short back socks and the right one has a bit of a stocking going on, but currently they're very hard to tell apart in pictures so I decided to give them matching names. Say hi to Peeke (r) & Ewrt (l), pekes & ertjes is a regional term for those baby carrots and peas that come together like this.

and lastly we have the solid tabby who henceforth shall be known as Venkel (Fennel) because that's my favorite soup to make and I feel like it fits. Also 'venkelen' sounds like some kind of complaining and she's the one that figured out how to squeek with her full long capacity and then some. We love an opinionated lady here.

ꨄTo say thanks for 100 Followers around October 1st, I compiled a Tattoo Dump for the sims 3. Though now at the time I'm releasing this I have around 150 followers ꨄ.

ꨄ A small milestone, but a milestone worth celebrating nonetheless. As I honestly made this account as a side hobby during my first year of University. But now 6 months later, I'm a semi-new converter and have people who enjoy my sims and conversions 🥹🫶🏾.

ꨄ I'll quit yapping, and explain the download. I converted around 45 to 70 tattoos from the sims 4, and made about 10-12 of my own tattoos mixed into the bunch. I will add a link to a Pinterest board I created that has all the creators whose work I've converted(As most don't have Tumblr or inactive). All other textures for my creations I got from Google images and Pinterest. ꨄ

They are all Recolorable on one channel. And the full-body tattoos are recolorable of 1.5/2 channels (Don't ask, but some tattoos recolor better than others, but creates a cool ombre effect between 2 colors✨)

Notes:

For the full body, I attempted to make it recolorable on 2 channels. It semi-works, but the tattoo may still have the 1st channels color/overlay. Didn't come out like I envisioned, but can create a cool ombre effect.

For the full-body tattoos, I made them unisex. However, Tattoo set 1 has conversions made from a male body UV, while set 2 had conversions made from a female body UV. So set 2 may have more “feminine” tattoos and vice versa, so keep this in mind around the chest/breast regions.

Face tattoos will slightly change, base on the use of sliders around the cheekbone height, eyebrow height and cheek fullness. They will also look better with some eyebrow presets than others. I tried to place them in general areas to work with all facial features and structures, but the UV layout only has so much room.

If you care or are curious about what I made, I mixed them into the "Morenecktattoos" package and Both leg tattoo packages for added variety.

Also I will make ambition style tattoos eventually for those players who prefer them in game. Furthermore, If you want to know how to make Tattoos recolorable, just ask, and I'm willing to share or make a simple post about it💕. Also I'm open for suggestions for designs to make more custom tattoos (send them to me please✨)

Pokemon review: Ditto

(No review requests in the inbox right now, so I'll be doing this. No random generation this time as most Pokemon have been reviewed at this point.)

Ditto is probably one of the most straightforward ideas for a shapeshifter you can get—it can become anything, so its base form is nothing but a simple blob, similar to the classic RPG dungeon slime. In all honestly I do prefer something like the Zorua line that has a unique design by default in addition to copying other Pokemon, but Ditto is undeniably pretty cute. I like its silly little :) face and the sort of implied arm nubbins.

One thing I will note about Ditto is that it's never been consistent color-wise; sometimes it's a lavenderish purple and sometimes it's bright pink. It's not really a problem per say, but it is strange that it's never had a standardized color after all these years. (I personally like the pink more, for the record; the purple feels a bit washed out, a common problem among Gen 1 mons.)

Another notable thing about Ditto is the way its transforming works. People generally associate it with shapeshifting everything but it's face, resulting in normal Pokemon with hilarious :) faces. This has been seen everywhere from the anime to the TCG cards.

However, this... isn't really a thing in the games. This idea was introduced in an episode of the anime, wherein the face thing was a flaw that one specific Ditto had that got fixed by the end of the episode. In the games, Ditto can and does shapeshift with 100% accuracy. While they do occasionally use this for interesting gimmicks (such as SV having random wild Pokemon be Ditto), I'm honestly a big fan of the :) face transformations and think that should've been the norm. It adds so much personality and flavor, which is much needed in a Pokemon that just mimics others and has very little going on in its true form.

I also might as well point out that there's been a long-standing theory that Ditto is the result of failed attempts at cloning Mew. This has already been confirmed to have not been the intent in interviews, but honestly, I do like the idea even if it was completely unintentional. There is just something a bit odd, even by Pokemon standards, about a blob that just can shapeshift into anything that isn't a legendary/mythical (like Mew) and is actually transforming (unlike the Zorua line, who are just disguising themselves with illusions). Like, it definitely feels weird to just see an undisguised Ditto out and about in the grass in SV after a reset. But I digress.

Bizarrely, at one point Ditto was considered for an evolution in Gen 2 with this screaming thing that evolved via a metal coat of all things. Not only does it not feel like an evo so much as a Different Ditto, but it's also just strange to give a evo (or a regional, or anything, really) to a Pokemon who's entire thing is being other Pokemon. I'm not even sure how it would differentiate itself mechanically—maybe the idea is that anything it shifts into would gain steel typing or something? Either way, best this was scrapped.

Overall, a super simple Pokemon with a straightforward gimmick, with its only issue being that it honestly isn't quite gimmicky enough.

Before the last world reset, there was a region a few hundred blocks across which was permanently lit as though it were noon 24 hours a day, because one of the admins replaced every air block with an invisible level 15 light block. Directly next to this was a former ocean that got turned into a vast plain of packed ice stretching in every direction; you could stand in the middle of it and it would be indistinguishable from superflat.

On that old world, the market next to spawn had about a 50% chance of completely locking up my game any time I went there, and the only way to fix it was to go into Task Manager and force-crash Minecraft. Nobody else ever had this issue, and to this day I do not know what caused it.

There was an entirely separate world containing a single castle, which you could only get to if the owner of the castle teleported you in there. The castle was supposed to be surrounded by an inescapable dome of barrier blocks, but I managed to get out and explore the rest of the world. At 0,0 there was a village that had generated in a massive pit, a hundred blocks across and stretching nearly to bedrock. Immediately next to this pit was a frozen river bearing the shatter pattern of some kind of large explosion, set off by forces unknown.

Someone built an outpost one million blocks away from spawn. Those chunks got culled at some point, and when the player who built it went back there they found a completely different landscape generated in its place. There was never an update that changed terrain generation during that world's run.

Recently, the functionality of rails got completely inverted. Unpowered rails would accelerate a minecart, while powered ones would stop it in its tracks. This, at least, was just an issue with one plugin being configured wrong. Sometimes there are issues where multiple plugins exist alongside each other fight for dominance.

We have one plugin that allows some players to fly and resist all fall damage without elytra or equipment, and another plugin that (until recently) was configured to block the first plugin from functioning whenever you were in another player's land claim. This led to situations where you could fly into an invisible claim region and instantly drop out of the sky and die. I have died seven times on this world, and all of them were because of this.

There is an obsidian sphere about a hundred blocks across, mostly submerged in the ocean; elsewhere, there is an island of comparable size which is covered entirely in basalt; and elsewhere still, there is a region of forest that has been fully replaced with sculk. I know this because I am currently making a map of the server covering around 12000x12000 blocks, and all those places just show up as mysterious, cursed splotches of black.

There is a lot of lore and roleplaying. The Queen is both fae and vampiric; my queries as to how precisely a diet of blood is reconciled with an iron allergy have gone largely unanswered. She has also canonically destroyed and remade the entire world on two separate occasions. The server has only undergone one world reset.

Immediately before said reset, I wrote a 70-page book filled with footnote labyrinths, in which my character briefly goes on an anti-capitalist rant before discussing the architectural styling of his home and the impending obliteration thereof. It serves as a spiritual sequel to a 100-page book which is ostensibly a user manual for installing an item sorter, but which also contains the lyrics to Mr Blue Sky and mentions something called the "City of Ouranos Department for Bibliographical Metaphysics and Chilled Legumes" (which is a reference to a different server I used to play on, in which a "Cool Bean War" was instigated with the help of a book that would crash your game if you tried to read past the first page).

The item sorter that the aforementioned user manual is for is a colossal assemblage of redstone components that click and flash for several minutes every time you put anything into it. I never actually built this on the server, because I ended up making a much simpler design using a custom plugin called SlimeFun (which tries to emulate the functionality of a tech mod without actually being one). This plugin's cargo management system does not contain a priority allocation mechanism, so I ended up implementing one by forcing the lower-priority route through a very long cargo pipe that eventually loops back on itself and ends at an overflow chest a few blocks from the starting point, thereby tricking SlimeFun's pathfinding algorithm into only sending items through it if every other option has been exhausted.

A reincarnation of Herb the Herbalist, the bizarre glitchy NPC entity that @the-unseelie-court-official has discussed at length, now resides in a hole directly under world spawn, repeating the same six lines of dialogue on a loop for all eternity:

How did you got yourself interested in this time period? Why Bohemia? Where exactly could the castle be found? Do you plan to connect your story with some "greater events" from that time? Will your OCs travel a bit?

I've been a sort of amateur medievalist for a while now- I can't point specifically to when it started, but it might have been reading Pillars of the Earth as a teenager, or finding out that the town I grew up in had an important courthouse that was closed in the 1300s- that's a scale of time that overwhelmed me then, and still makes me feel a deal of frisson now. The 1200s specifically sit at an intersection of really cool stuff in central europe- it's right before Franziscanism spreads and shakes up the monastic system, Waldensian heretics were prefiguring how the church would later fracture (I feel they resemble specifically the czech utraquists in some of their stylings and beliefs), and the Pope was in open conflict with the holy roman emperor; On the political side, Friedrich II was nearing the end of his reign, and his death would lead to the interregnum, where the empire is effectively without an emperor for years on end; The Popponer dynasty is about to crumble in Austria, and the Lion of Prague Ottokar II Přemýsl is about to add all of Austria to the Bohemian Kingdom, interrupting the ongoing Ostsiedlung (German Eastern Colonization, for those who don't know), all to the backdrop of endless failing crusades. It's just before the Habsburgs gain greater relevance and europe slides into the rennaissance, in my mind putting an end to the "proper" middle ages.

I've been curious about Czechia for a long time; I was too young to really notice when the country joined the EU, but even years later, I remember grumbling that they were going to "ruin" us, by flooding our country with cheap labour or products or somesuch. It's always struck me as odd. That energy ended up getting redirected towards migrants from the near east in the 2010s, but it's stuck with me; Here's a country Austria has, in some form or another, struggled with for centuries, dominated terribly through to the very end of our wretched pitiful attempt at an 'empire,' tried to keep chunks of as recently as 100 years ago, and yet I didn't learn so much as a single thing about it in school. Austrian schooling is dead set on not mentioning a single thing between about 1500 to 1933 (and even then, we often gloss over just *how* enthusiastic a lot of austria was to participate in the holocaust and become part of germany- or how no real denazification took place after the war), and obviously reading any history at all immediately got me hooked on finding out more. History aside, I love the bohemian massif dearly; the rolling hills, deep shadowy forests, little brooks, misty autumns, distant alps, it's one of my favourite regions on earth; I grew up in southern upper austria, but studied near Freistadt, which is where I gathered a lot of reference material for Vesna.

The castle doesn't have an official location, but there is a general area: "north of Freistadt, east of Rožmberk." Here are some rough indications on a modern Vesna era map, a rennaissance map, and google maps:

Not to spoil anything, but yes- Franzesca's father, a Bavarian, is a true believer in the "stupor mundi" Frederick II, and the need to "germanize" the backward slavic populations of Bohemia; He detests Saint Václav and forbids castle servants from speaking czech. The timing of the events of Vesna is chosen very specifically to be ironic in this regard- but you'll see when we get there :P

5. Yes, at the very least you will get to see Vesna and friends in the Machlant, Rožmberk and Linz. Franzesca will travel to her family home of Innsbruck and to Normandy, and it's likely more will happen, depending on where the story goes.

The slime's are just lil guys!! They look so goofy that he loves them. Literally wants to collect them all.

Loves exploring the map and getting new things. But remind him of his original task or he'll forget it and do a whole different one.

Tries doing a automated system once but it went so horrible he was sulking trying to find a tutorial to fix it.

Tries keeping his farm organized but it's a bit chaotic as eh plants stuff. Also unintentionally doing challenges and is surprise when he finishes them.

Finn

Loves any type of gardening or farming games bc their calming and fun. Also bonus if their super cute or pretty art style.

Tries exploring but stays in like the same two regions and then once he goes through them 100% he goes to another one.

Farm is organized and sells a lot of the plorts bc of it. Loves the cat slime's their so cute! But feels bad that he has a favorite.

I feel like since he already loves gardening he gets a lot of money in the game bc it's second nature for him to do everything.

Auron

Thinks the game is cute, especially the way everything is styled. Likes how there is a lot of things to do in the game, like exploring, collecting, gardening, and selling.

I feel like he spend 50, 50 with exploring and farming his stuff. Has a lot of stuff done as he just runs around getting shit done.

His garden like Finn's is very organized. Has everything in a certain spot so he can find it quicker. The farm looks so fucking expensive bc he somehow grinded it all.

Another thing he likes about these types of games is that it's a slow pace game. I also hc that somehow he always ends up really fucking rich in these games.

Cooing at all the slime's he's finding bc their all so fucking cute. I think he'd like the crystal slime's like look at this spikey thing!! So cute.

Exploring is so funny watching him get lost and he has to ask chat where tf he is. Literally has to remember where he is with certian things in the regions.

His farm is okay, it's chaotic yes, but at least it's better than Alphonse's mess of a farm. Like he had a system going but then got distracted with a challenge.

Ngl he caved and bought things in game....Look he was having fun and getting money was annoying. But at least he has more space in his farm for all the things he collected! He can make the money back anyways-

Ghost storms into the meeting, his eyes blown wide and his chest heavily heaving. He’s still clutching his phone in his hand and any other person would be afraid of breaking it.

Price looks up, clearly confused. But before the Captain can talk Ghost shuts the door behind him.

“They have her,” he says in a low voice and to someone who doesn’t know Ghost it would sound normal, but to Price it didn’t. His best Lieutenant, the man who feared nothing, was anxious. His voice was off and Price could see nothing but pure fear in Ghost’s eyes.

“They got who?” Soap asks, turning his head at Ghost. What the fuck was his LT. talking about?

But Ghost doesn’t pay any attention to the Scot. He keeps staring at Price. “They have my wife,” he then says and Soap’s brain shortcuts.

What the fuck? Ghost had a wife? The Sergeant looks at Price and now he’s even more confused. Price knows about that wife?

Price eyes narrow and he stands up. “You figured where she is already?” he asks and Ghost shakes his head.

“No. But Laswell’s onto it. She still owns me one.”

“Good. Any indication where she could be?” Price starts walking around, his gaze not leaving Ghost.

“Yes.”

Price claps his hands together and nods at Ghost. “Well then, let’s gear up and roll out. We don’t have much time.”

Ghost slightly narrows his head and Price knows that the look in the Lieutenants eyes means ‘Thank you. Thank you so much.’

Soap hesitantly stands up, still more than confused but as soon as Ghost leaves the room he runs after his superior.

He needs to find out since when Ghost has a wife and why his LT. never told him and Gaz about her.

“LT.” Soap speaks into the comms as he carefully surrounds an enormous brick building somewhere in the outer regions of Manchester.

“What do ya want Soap?” Ghost’s voice is on an edge as he answers his Sergeant. His finger, placed on the trigger, twitches. He’s more than ready to slaughter everyone who’s separating him from his wife.

“Since when do ye hav’ a lass? Why’d ye never told us ‘bout ‘er?” Soap carefully lifts his rifle and opens a back door. He was in. It was only a matter of time when he’d engage with the enemy.

“Ya nev’r asked,” is Ghost’s short reply as he skillfully shoots down a tango. He moves further forward, his eyes snapping from left to right.

He wasn’t allowed to make a mistake. Your life was at risk and he would and could never forgive himself if he’d lose you just because he made a damn mistake.

He checked door after door and slowly he was running out of patience but then Gaz started to talk via comms.

“I think I found her.”

“Where are you?” Ghost stops and suddenly his head starts to spin. They found you? Would he finally be able to rescue you?

“2nd floor, three doors from the staircase.” Gaz’ voice was quiet and hushed.

“Are you 100% postitive?” Price now asked and Gaz confirmed.

“Was I ever wrong?” he asks in a playful voice and Ghost rolls his eyes. This was serious. This wasn’t training or anything. This was about you.

“You fell outta a chopper,” Soap snorts and giggles to himself as he continues to clear the building.

“Fuck off MacTavish,” Gaz grumbles the reply, shutting the comms off.

Your eyes are heavy and your head spins, your ears ringing as the man opposite to you starts to interrogate you again.

You stopped paying attention and replying god knows how long ago but they didn’t stop. They kept going, even slapping you harshly from time to time. You don’t feel it anymore though.

There’s blood running from you nose, you’re mouth and you’re pretty sure your cheek bones are also covered in bruises. You just want this to be over. You just want Simon to rescue you.

“Так,” you hear the man say and moments later you feel a pair of hands lifting your head to look at him. Another man held your face so you’d look at your interrogator.

“Вы хотите поговорить сейчас?,” he asks you and you give yourself imaginary shoulder pats for actually learning Russian back in school.

You say nothing, only shaking your head. The man laughs. “As stubborn as that husband of yours.” He turns to look at one of his men, motioning at you. “стрелять в неё.” Then he leaves.

Your eyes widen as one of the man, you were pretty sure they called him Vita, pointed his hand gun at you.

You start to struggle against your restraints, fresh tears running down your cheeks. You couldn’t- You couldn’t die. Not yet, not now! What about Simon? What about the life you two wanted to build?

“Little brat,” Vita curses as he tries to follow you head with his gun but you were struggling too much.

“просто нажать на курок” another man, Maxim, tells Vita, obviously nervous. He’s been talking via comms for the last minutes but your Russian was too bad to understand all of it.

“They’re here Vita and it won’t take them long to find us, so cut it short. Now!” Maxim’s voice is strained and he keeps checking the door. You knew what that meant. They found you. Ghost found you. Not Simon, no… now he was Ghost.

“He will kill you, rip you apart,” you then say, feeling blood drip from your mouth. “He will hunt you down and make sure you’ll regret anything you ever did.” You stare at Vita, waiting for him to shoot, praying that he wouldn’t.

“поторопитесь, вита,” Maxim urges again, his eyes flicking to the door. He heard something.

Vita looks at you, then at the door. The moment his eyes flick to the door it’s kicked in and it’s raining bullets.

You shut your eyes, making yourself as small as possible while you hear Vita and Maxim drop dead to the floor. Your body is shaking and you feel tears running down your cheeks.

When Ghost sees you strapped to that chair all his fuses blow. He rushes past the dead bodies and rips off his mask. He kneels down in front of you, carefully speaking to you.

“Lovie, it’s me…” he says and he lets out a relieved breath when you look at him, eyes empty.

When he’s sure you know who he is he quickly cuts you free and carefully takes you in his arms. Your wrists are bruised and bloody, as well as your face but he’s never been happier to have you in his arms.

“Ya safe now. ‘Am ‘ere and I’ll get ya outta ‘ere.” He presses you close to him and a single tears rolls down his cheek. He’s got you back. You’re safe now. You’re with him…

Price walks into the room, tightly gripping his rifle. “Everything’s clear. We’re ready for evac. Is she okay? Does she need a medical?” He walks in further, looking at your fragile form in Ghost’s arms.

“She’s fine f’r now I think,” Ghosts replies and he carefully stands up, holding you close in his arms. “We’ll get ya outta ‘ere,” he mumbles and you warily nod. You just wanted to go home…

Carefully Ghost stands up, his arms around you tightening. “Let’s go?” he says to Price and the Captain nods.

“Gonna watch your six,” Price says. Ghost nods, a subtle but deep ‘thank you’.

With faithful steps Ghost hurries out of the room, his eyes flicking down to you again and again. “You shouldn’t carry me…” you whisper, well aware of the fact that you were probably slowing him down.

He doesn’t look at you, only scanning the surroundings with his eyes. “I fucked ya against a wall. I’ll be able t’ carry ya outta ‘ere.” That’s his answer. Simple and plain.

You try to suppress a small smile but you can’t. You press your face against his vest, whispering a quiet ‘I love you’. And while your husband carries you out of that building your feel your head starting to spin and dizziness overcomes you…

“What d’ya mean, internal bleeding?” Ghost paces up and down in the hospital corridor, not caring about the fact that people were staring at him. Of course you would stare at a 6’4 man who’s build like a fucking fridge and wears a skull mask. He often found him staring at himself in the reflection of windows.

“She’s got internal bleeding, Sir. That’s also the reason why she’s in surgery,” a nurse calmly explains, not frightened by the man in front of her. “As soon as I get new information I will tell them to you, but right now, I’m afraid, there’s not much I can do for you, Sir…”

Ghost wants to swear and curse but he knows that he needs to keep himself at bay. He wasn’t alone here, people were watching. He needed to calm himself down. Now.

So, he lets out a deep breath and nods. “Tell me when she’s out as soon as possible, please.” He tries to not show how anxious he is but his but his wife was in surgery right now because he wasn’t able to properly look after her… He wanted to explode.

“Of course Sir,” the nurse gives him a warm smile. “Feel free to sit down or get yourself a coffee. It could take a while…” Ghost absently nodded and she left. What was he supposed to do now?

“Any news?” Price wants to know when the team joins Ghost in the hospital. He just shakes his head and puts it in his hands.

“Still ‘n surgery,” he mumbles, trying so hard not to go crazy. He’s been waiting hours now, but it felt like days. His head was spinning, thoughts were crashing in his mind and guilt was almost eating him alive. What had he done?

“She’ll make it son, don’t worry,” Price says in a calm voice, placing his hand on his Lieutenant’s shoulder. “She’s a fighter. Just like you…”

Your head hurts when your senses return and you start stirring. Then you feel a hand on yours and your eyes fly open. Where are you?

With panicked eyes you look around, completely ignoring the pain in the back of your head. Was this a…hospital?

“Darling,” you hear a voice. That sounds like Simon… Your eyes follow the voice and you look at your husband. “Hey…” he smiles at you, clutching your hand. “How are ya?”

“Shit,” you whisper in a small voice, trying your best to return the squeezes he gave your hand. Then he gently lifts it and presses a small kiss onto the back of it.

“Am sorry,” he says while he continues to caress your hand and wrist. “Should’ve look’d out bett’r f’r ya…” He averts his gaze and you immediately try to shake your head. You knew he would beat himself up over what happened. It wasn’t his fault.

“Not your fault,” you croak out, intertwining your hands. He looks up with glassy eyes and you swear you’ve never seen him that destroyed.

“I could’ve lost ya…” he whispers. “Could’ve lost ya f’r good ‘nd I wouldn’t b’ able t’ f’rgive m’self.”

“I’m here,” you weakly smile. “And I surely won’t leave…” You would never leave Simon. He was the love of you life. When you’re with him you feel complete and you never wanted to miss out on that again.
