A/N: Like I've said as grape anon, I have this headcanon that Sebastian Michaelis is MC's and Barbatos kid. So here's some family fluff <3 Also Sebastian isn't his real name, but for the sake of this, it is now

Barbatos x female!afab!reader (reader gets pregnant and is referred to as "mom")

>You didn't want to rush kids, after all, Barbatos work was absorbing, you were always aware and comfortable with it, but raising a half demon was a tough job to do without help

>Thanks to the constant exposure to Barbatos, he talks really formal, the kid's five and saying "Dad will be most displeased if he finds me eating these cookies" but kind of switches when he's near you or the brothers and a talks like a normal child

>It's not that he feels unrecognized by his father, but because of Barbato's nature, he's always trying to prove that he can do things (even small ones) by himself

>He's eight now! He's a big boy! He can tie his shoelaces!

>It's you that always thanked him saying "Thank you Sebastian, you're one hell of a butler" and he just... Kept that, forever

>Was literally born a perfectionist and will throw a tantrum if someone messes with his toys, only Barbatos can calm him when he's like that

Tadashi Yamaguchi

he definitely thinks you’re really cool and he wants to be just like you :O

bc you give off ‘bad bitch who doesn’t care about what other ppl think about them’ energy and what he would give tO HAVE THAT!!

so that’s when he knew he needed to be your friend >:)

so he was like ‘tsukki, go talk to (y/n) for me >:)’ thinking that was his first step to becoming confident pfft

luckily, god was on his side though bc the teacher rearranged the seats and you and him were sitting next to each other

hence, he got the opportunity to talk to you without it seeming too forced

you both fell for each other so hard

like he would act tough to try impress you but you preferred his natural softness while you tried to act uncharacteristically docile so you wouldn’t scare him off but he liked you for your boldness

it was a match made in heaven 💞

he eventually worked up the courage to ask you out one day and y’all have just been falling more ever since

although, that doesn’t mean yamaguchi’s forgotten one of the main reasons he wanted to be with you in the first place

‘please teach me your ways, (y/n)!’ he pleaded, his head resting on your lap so you had to cover his puppy-eyes with your phone

‘no, tadashi. firstly, you’re sweet and gentle- you’re just built like that. secondly, i don’t have any ‘ways’ to teach you!’

yamaguchi continued to pry, ‘then how are you just so effortlessly self-assured?’

‘who told you that, tadashi?’

‘no one.’ yamaguchi poked the back of your hand to get you to move it, ‘but remember that time one of the guys in our class tried to make fun of the size of your head and you told him to shut up?’

you rolled your eyes, setting your phone aside before placing a brief kiss on yamaguchi’s forehead, ‘he said he couldn’t see the board because of my ‘big head’, tadashi; that’s hardly an insult. also, what else could i have possibly said other than that?’

but then you remembered this is yamaguchi you’re talking to; if that was him, he’d probably apologise, move his head aside then cry in the bathroom or sumn.

‘i should be the one asking you why you’re so insecure. i mean, i know everyone is a little bit insecure about something but you just take it to a whole other level.’ you mused, absentmindedly massaging his scalp

yamaguchi frowned, ‘exactly! teach me how to stop being insecure.’

‘no please, no thank you?’ you inquired with a snicker, realising that your habits might of accidentally rubbed off on him

bc just a few weeks ago, he’d be thanking you for breathing the same air as him but now he didn’t even say ‘please’ when asking for a favour

‘please teach me how to be resilient, (y/n).’

you chuckled, leaning down to whisper in his ear, ‘okay, since you’re so polite, i’ll tell you my secret - but promise not to tell anybody else!.’

‘i promise.’ yamaguchi replied without hesitation

‘okay, first thing you need to do is go to the depths of hell and find satan hims--’

yamaguchi let out a sigh as he realised that you weren’t being serious then playfully flicked your forehead away, ‘rude.’

you beamed, pressing another kiss upon his forehead, ‘i know~’

Shōyō Hinata

let’s not pretend hinata wasn’t shitting his pants when he first heard about you from kageyama

‘they called me a shitty setter the other day.’

but kageyama failed to mention the part where he cut you in line for lunch 🙄 mans had it coming

like hinata genuinely thought that if he came within a 5 foot radius of you, you’d literally come for volleyball career

plus, hinata knew he had a lot of things to be insults on (mostly, his height) so he decided to keep his distance at first

but when he actually saw you - rather than a vague description that kageyama conjured - he kinda fell head over heels

well, not only bc of your looks - he isn’t that shallow

but the same day, you dropped your purse/wallet on the walk home and ,mhsince hinata was walking behind you, he acted as any good Samaritan would; picked it up then handed it to you

then you said something along the lines of ‘thanks, shorty.’

not shawty. lord- shorty as in short with a y at the end

and whether you meant that as a dig or not was beyond him - but either way, he fkn adored it

also it doesn’t matter whether you are taller or shorter than hinata- he is still short-stuff >:)

by some miracle he managed to ask you out successfully and he’s kinda been glued to you ever since

like he wants to spend every second that he’s not at volleyball club/school with you

and if you tell him he’s being clingy, he’s going to cry-

he’d probably be a bit offended but then give you your space

also, you noticed how he was really endeared by the tad mean nicknames you gave him like ‘shorty’, ‘short stuff’ and ‘ginger’

the only ones he didn’t like was ‘boke’ or ‘dumbass’ bc it reminded him too much of kageyama + tsukishima

so you started calling him these things - teasingly - more frequently

and he loves it ngl

as long as you aren’t truly mean to him, he enjoys being called these things by you for some reason

so, his first mistake was assuming that you’d like being called these joking nicknames just as much as he does

you were helping him with english once and it’s definitely not his strong suit

same, hinata

‘look at that! you spelt all your vocabs correctly, for a change.’ you commented, peering over the desk at the paper sitting in front of him

his eyes widened and his lips curled into a hopeful smile, ‘really?!’

‘no.’ you snickered, pointing to the first word on the list. ‘your word was taxis - you wrote ‘texas’, dumbass.’

hinata let out an exasperated sigh, propping his elbow onto the table to rest his cheek on his palm

then, he had an idea ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

‘alright, stupidface, should i rewrite them?’

you gasped, furrowing your brows at what he just called you

for a moment, you thought you might’ve misheard him but upon observing his smug expression, you realised that he really did just call you a ‘stupidface’

so you burst out laughing

obviously, hinata was rather shocked at your reaction

‘hey! what’s so funny?’

‘di- di- did you just call me a ‘stupidface’?!’ you panted in-between cackles, clutching your stomach to soothe the butterflies

‘IT’S NOT CUTE!’ hinata barked, playfully flicking your forehead

once you caught your breath, you took hinata’s hands and looked him dead in the eyes, ‘you’re fucking adorable, shōyō.’

the hoarseness of your voice making it sound like somewhat of a threat

‘you’re adorable-er, (y/n).’

Kōshi Sugawara

he admires how strong and independent you are/seem 😍

and the fact you don’t go out of your way to suck-up to ppl

he kinda wants to be like you in that sense but unlike yamaguchi, he accepts that he’s way too much of a people pleaser for that lol

so he sticks to admiring you from afar

then he musters up the courage to ask you out with some chocolate cupcakes; the same kind that you accidentally got on his blazer on the first day of second year :))

and you say yes (╯▽╰ )

also a big part of your relationship is aggressive positivity ✨😡

like if he makes a joke about looking crusty, you’ll promptly respond, ‘shut up, kōshi - you look so hot.’

or if you berate yourself for getting a poor mark on a test, suga will interrupt with no hesitation, ‘fuck off, (y/n), you’re literally so smart and hard working - you’ll probably get 100% on the next test.’

also when he’s around you he switches between canon and fanon suga rapidly

one second he’s like ‘aww, are you stressed bc of school? i’ll bake you some cookies, baby--’ then you’ll jokingly make a comment about his post-practise B.O and he’ll literally get so defensive

he does everything in his power to impress you and get you to take back what you said

but he only does that bc you are so dismissive of his advances lol

you gave him your number/snap for a project and he’s one of those ppl that just assumes that y’all are friend now lol

but that wasn’t nessicarily a bad thing bc you thought he was really cool and you were happy that you still got to talk to him even after the project was over

not that you’d ever admit it tho (╹ڡ╹ )

he’d send you cursed memes at 3AM and you’d reply like ‘mood’ then he’d fall for you

you’d also have random, deep convos in the middle of the night

hence he fell for you even harder

especially bc he basically just shared his whole life story with you

he’d spill out all his insecurities to you then you’d reply like ‘ok’ then he knew he had to ask you out bc you’re the first person not to have left him on read

so he asked you to meet him in the park and you’d reply ‘no lol 🖕 ‘

then he’d just smile at his phone like ‘wow, they’re so in love with me’

he’s just so used to his friends being mean to him jokingly that he can’t even tell if you’re being serious or not

so he goes to the park at the time he put forward, and ofc you’re there even though you said no bc you didn’t want tendō to show up for nothing 🥺

he was ecstatic that you were there and he probably brought you an energy drink or lollipop then asked you out

and ofc you said yes

i mean- you had kinda developed a soft spot for the poor guy

you’d let him get away with certain things that others couldn’t around you

for instance, you’d let him borrow your pencils/pens despite usually not allowing others to get ahold of your stuff

but that was just coz like- he’s your trustworthy bf- not some random classmate who had no reason or motive to be kind enough to return your pencils

also, you’d let him cut in front of you in the lunch line and he did the same for you

oh and please bully anyone who makes fun of him 🙏

My Monster High Reboot Pt. 3: Cleo de Nile

Part 1: Frankie, Part 2: Draculaura

Age: Around 5600, you can add or substract some years.

Backstory: Cleo was born in ancient Egypt as the second daughter of the Pharaoh Ramses de Nile and Berenice, who came from Greece. Their marriage was political so they didn’t really love each other but they took good care of their kids. Ramses tho cared more about his first daughter Nefera because she was set to rule and marry well, and the legacy of the de Niles depended on her. Bc of this Cleo grew closer to her mother who taught her to play the harp, her native language and most importantly to have a strong personality and to stand out since she would need it being the secong daughter. They lived well with all the luxuries they could think of until Ramseses brother plotted against them and organized armies to attack them when Cleo was 16. Berenice had gone to visit her sister in Greece and never saw or knew of them again. They stood no chance so a servant took them out of their palace, led them to a pyramid and wrapped them in some magical bandages that would let them sleep for some time until it was safe when he would wake them up and help them escape. They woke up a few hundred years later and were trapped in the pyramid for years. Amanita Nightshade bloomed from a flower Nefera had somehow carried with them, but she stole some things and found a way for her to get out but never called for help. After more years a group of archeologists appeared and helpped them out. They took all the amulets and gold they had and started a new life in egypt as monsters, where they made a fortune. Eventually they decided to move to New Salem in hopes to establish a good home there and make their fortune bigger there. After some years Nefera entered monster high to end her education, and then Cleo followed her after 3 years.

Personality: Cleo is THE diva of Monster High. She likes to know everything that goes on and be the first one on the important things. Won’t hesitate to do what is needed to get what she wants, but would never play dirty. She likes to be pleased and flattered. She won’t doubt to take the lead and has great organization and ruling skills. However, under that a very insecure and hurt person hides. She needs a lot of reasurance. She’s always trying to help her friends though they don’t realize. Generally a godd hearted ghoul. Very scared of the unknown and the new, these things make her very protective.

Style: First, gold accents. It is important to show wealth for her family. Second, colours that match her eyes. Third, cute trendy clothes that fit well and don’t mess with the bandages.

Romantic Relationships: When she just had started to attend Monster High she dated Clawd because they were both popular and it seemed fitting however they didn’t really have feelings for each other, though they formed a really nice friendship. While with Clawd she met Deuce and completely fell in love. Soon, her and Clawd decided that it was better to just be friends. After that Deuce asked her out and they’ve been together ever since. They have a cute and stable relationship where they undertand and support each other and are comfortable showing their true selves together. Her father dissaproves them but they never really cared and as of Deuces family, they love Cleo.

Friendships: Ghoulia is her ultimete best friend, they understand each other very well and know each others secrets and worries, Cleo won’t hesitate to defend Ghoulia from anyone who mistreats her for being a zombie. Lagoona is weirdly very close te her, probably because Lagoona is so chill and relaxed, wich is the opposite of Cleo but bc of this they both try new things together. Draculaura is just as her old and inmortal, so they fing comfort in each other. She does Cleos highlights. Be friends with Frankie was hard at first bc Cleo doesn’t like new people that could potentialy hurt her friends but when they got over that they created a cute friendship and since Frankie likes hearing Cleos stories, being together feeds Frankies curosity and Cleos ego. The relationship with Clawdeen has always been weird: at the begginig they really ignored each other, then Clawdeen hated her bc she thought she had broken her brothers heart, but when she realized it wasn’t like that they started to get along and now they have found out they both like fashion and bond over that. Clawd is still her friend and usually have very good advice for each other. Cleo is currently pushing him to make a move on Draculaura, whom she knows to have a crush on Clawd. Then there is Jackson, who she met because he’s Deuces friend and has turned out to be a nice and funny guy when he’s comfortable. Lastly, Viperine, Deuce’s cousin. They love to gossip about people in each others life that they probably will never meet, and Viperine always does some amazing make up on her.

Interests: Cleo loves going out shopping, and because of that she also spends a lot of time cleaning her closet and reselling what she doesn’t like anymore. She also likes to play the harp. The rest of her free time she researches about what happened with her mother, but has had no success yet.

Group 1

Bro. You already KNOW Yada and Kurahashi are gonna be her godmothers

They babysit her all the time!! They adore her! And of course they wanna help out their mentor if they can.

They’re definitely the favs and the top 2 choices haha.

Maehara and Isogai are also great babysitters! They naturally are so good with kids, esp bc of Isogai’s little siblings

Maehara encourages chaos though of course. Like he’ll tell her to bend rules and such.

Ehhh ofc she loves Kataoka but it’s a lil hard sometimes since she is more strict, and not very used to kids.

Kimura isn’t allowed to babysit her alone. He’s a gremlin and will take advantage of having sole influence over a child who isn’t as scared and timid as his own brother. Aka he will make the daughter into a lil mini gremlin

Group 2

Surprisingly, Chiba is her favorite babysitter. He’s amazing with kids, esp girls since he has little sisters. He’s always super patient but still fun.

Nakamura and Fuwa babysit her together and it’s chaotic as hell. It happened once and then they weren’t allowed again. Karasuma came home to find his daughter suddenly a manga fan and aware of new explicit words.

Irina didn’t have much of an issue with it lmao

Hayami.....is just a bit awkward with kids haha. Well...a lot. She tries her best though, but she comes off a little too serious.

She finally gets a moment to shine when the daughter asks to play with her hair. Then they spend a whole afternoon giving each other new hairstyles and having fun.

The Art Trio also try their best, but they’re not really babysitter material lmfao. They try one time and the whole damn house nearly burns down

She still adores them though. She’s little but she already thinks of them as her endearingly idiotic uncles haha

Ritsu is like the perfect playmate for her!! Ritsu spends time with her to try and see more of how children act, to understand. She’s also perfectly down to play a myriad of games and entertain her! It’s really adorable when they hang out.

Group 3

One word: Hara

Muramatsu bonds with her by sharing his interests. He teaches her culinary skills, how to fish, what kind of bait, etc. Someone has to tell him “Dude. I don’t think kids are gonna be super into your old man hobbies.”

And Yoshida just becomes like a big-brother-like figure to her. He’s pretty chill. It’s kind of like how he is with Hara’s little brothers UwU

Group 4

Sugino is her favorite!! He’s absolutely awesome with kids. She always has fun and stays in a good mood around him.

Likes teaching her baseball! A lot of times you’ll see him crouching in front of her with a pitching glove while she hits with a tiny lil bat

Nagisa is her number 1 tutor of course. He’s the only one she actually likes studying with just because he always makes it enjoyable

Kayano has self-proclaimed herself as the “dramatic af wine aunt” even when she’s still a minor lmao. But she grows up to be just like that lol

Practices her lines with the kid sometimes as a way they bond. Between Irina and Kayano’s influence, you already know this kid is gonna be a diva.

Kanzaki joins Kayano and she is hardly any better tbh. Will teach her how to play so many games and hacking tips. Also some more creative ways to mess with annoying boys.

Yeah the Irina/Kayano/Kanzaki influence will be very strong lmaooo

Okuda is a little timid whenever she’s around her. She’s kinda anxious and isn’t sure what to talk about, if she seems too weird, etc. Poor girl is a bit self-conscious.

The kid (who is very perceptive thanks to her mom) notices this and initiates first by asking Okuda to have a tea party with her. And from there, these two get along really well!

Okuda loves sprinkling in science facts throughout their games, and the kid actually finds them very interesting! It’s super cute.

something small to start the blog off hehe~ here are the RFA’s and saeran’s (minus v because i literally haven’t played his route or looked at him HJGHGJ sorry-) favourite pet names to call you: (minor spoilers for saeran)

yoosung:

not gonna lie, poor baby yoosung is probably the one *being* called the pet names most of the time; but after a while he does start to get more comfortable and less anxious and flusterable (is that word? LMAO) when giving affection to the MC. he starts off very slowly, calling you the pet names when you’re both sleepy, or when you’re focused on a game with him, so you don’t notice it too much (though his face still reddens in anticipation to your reaction) and then pet names become a more natural thing for him, and just start slipping out- especially if you give him a positive reaction because he just wants to see you happy!

saeyoung has... stranger more unique ways to show you affection, and the pet names he uses do not escape his whacky tendencies - uses pet names as a way to put a smile on your face and to make you laugh, to see that cute bright smile on your face! of course though, saeyoung has a (small) share of pet names that are more sensical and have some sort of more obvious meaning behind them. he starts off using dumb pet names, then as he gets emotionally attached stops, then he accepts he loves you and starts using really cheesey pet names, theenn he regains some of his happiness with you and becomes more jokey again (WHEW!).

pet names include: (besides the normal boooring ones /j) - his star (you guided him to his happiness... you shone for him brightly when he had no shine himself - you cheered him up with your beauty and warmth - and you guys did kick ass stuff in his good end like it was a MOVIE or something – also spaaace??) - weird food names - starts off as honey and sweetie pie - gets weird fast... will call you his chip and his nurse pepper ( doctor is reserved for the drink - otherwise it gets confusing) - LOWKEY MAKES FUN OF YOU... if you’re short he’ll call you shortie - if you’re tall he calls you tallie (haha funny.) if you’re blonde he calls you blondie, and if you have freckles or dimples OR GLASSES - consider it your new name. also starts calling you after the things you wear - if you wear chains, he calls you chains, if you wear dramatic makeup, he starts calling you a diva - will call you noob i’m sorry - sweet cheeks (SEVEN WHICH CHEEKS-) - boople snoot (yes.) - his galaxy (the seven alternative to my world)

saeran:

okay so - it’s assumed that saeran is actually a DID system but i’m writing for good end saeran because um - lets be honest the alters were not the most healthy and probably wouldn’t have been doing any pet name calling (ray being too insecure, black suit saeran and unknown... being black suit saeran and unknown? it would have been sarcastic and mean)

after all of the hardships you guys had gone through... saeran was TERRIFIED that you would leave because why on earth would you want to stick by with him i mean?? all he had known his whole life is literally mistreatment he thought you were too good to be true. but you stuck by and you gave him what he had needed for so long - you always made him feel safe and he finally belonged somewhere, felt like the world wasn’t ALWAYS out for him, he could breathe easier now. very reluctant at first - messing up with you especially gave him paralyzing fear. but then you showed him such loyalty, he looked at you and saw that yes you made mistakes, that you were human, and you reminded him that it was okay to be human too. so slowly he trusted that you would accept him being affectionate back - he wanted to appreciate you like you appreciated him - despite all of the flaws he saw in himself constantly. (WHOO I LOVE SAERAN SO MUCH OMG CAN YOU TELL??)

oh hmm i actually have never been asked this!! hmm this is difficult. okay so like. obvi before we begin i must offer a disclaimer here. i am a paragon of bad taste. let’s not forget my entire valentine’s theme was dedicated to prue & jack. we’re starting at rock bottom here. i also love projecting my own idea onto incomplete pieces to fill the gaps. like. like i get how there’s not a lot to love for paige and henry and phoebe and coop but in my lil brain they are all very complex and like fleshed out and i gotta a lotta beliefs. in fact. like. hmm. no i’ve already said i have bad taste like piper/leo are probably gonna sit at the bottom of the list for me just because i cannot craft them how i want bc they’re already solidified in canon. like. idk they’re an adorable couple all that the full nine yards or whatever but like. well for starters they’re not my favorite ship tropes and then on top of that again There’s A Lot Of Canon. and i am a narcissistic diva okay i wanna be able to fill in these gaps. so like. hmm at the top based solely on coupleness and the versions of them that live in my noggin it’s

phoebe/coop bc like hear me out man they’re like the embodiment of love. we’ve been hit over the head so many time how they’re the embodiment of love and like salvation and rebirth and renewal like!! like part of me wishes that we had introduced coop in s5 and given him more skin in the game but also if they fucked up this relationship i would have been so bummed bc it really is. it’s love!! like it is the embodiment of falling in love like phoebe is stone cold right and she’s kind of starting to accept that maybe she just doesn’t get it you know. maybe that’s it. she gets her column and she gets to help people find love and see like piper and leo at peak domesticity and like engage in love, but like, remotely.because it’s not for her. and then here comes this cupid who’s like no i’m gonna find you love which is a cute gesture but like she genuinely doesn’t believe she’s made for love she genuinely doesn’t believe she gets to have love but then you know like. like her eyes get reopened to the world around her yes she engaged with love remotely but she had become so far removed from it that it lost the feeling. she saw it but she saw the individual brushstrokes and then here comes coop and he helps her take a step back and see the painting. and like!!! it’s beautiful. and then of course there’s the added trope of like. falling in love with coop he’s supposed to help you find love and now you know what the hell you’re trying but like. you’re in love with him. but you can’t be but you are. like!! and then on coop’s side you know he’s a cupid he’s been doing this for centuries and his love for humanity is obvious and his love for love is obvious but this is new. and he doesn’t know what it is!! like he knows love obviously but he’s never like you know fallen in love. and he can’t recognize it because he thinks it’s impossible but the next think you know he’s got all those lovesick symptoms he sees in the couples he puts together and oh my god he’s in love with phoebe. and then of course both believe the other won’t reciprocate bc it’s out of the realm of possibility. but then the other does reciprocate!! they also just like. i mean all three couple do but like phoebe and coop maybe the most. seem like the type of people who just kinda get lost in watching their partner work. like when phoebe is having trouble with a letter for her column she like paces and mutters the letter out loud to herself like she’s the one asking it and like bareface in pajamas like a crazy person is just repeating the same thing over and over again and coop’s just fucking in love with her like look at her!! and vice versa i don’t think coop has really spent that much time being human i think he takes absolute delight in small things phoebe has just forgotten about but to see coop’s face light up like at so flea market or something finding something that was undeniably crafted with love like he can feel it imbued in the item and his face just lights up and he wants to tell everyone how like it’s love!! love!! it’s all around us it’s in here can’t you feel it and phoebe just looks at him and remembers how pure love itself is and just how happy she is that you know. this is her life. and she gets to fall asleep and wake up next to this man like hello?? hello??!???! and then i’m gonna go

paige/henry bc like i feel like they’re criminally underrated again bc we spedrun what should have been a slowburn but they gave me the legos and i will built the death star like. like these are two people who struggle with family and identity so much who have learned against their nature to lean into and grow with one another. like what we see of paige is a woman who loves her independence and loves her freedom and yesh has a complex relationship with family bc she was given up at birth but it didn’t matter because she found a loving family so who needs the ones who gave her up not her but she couldn’t help but wonder but she didn’t care she had her family. until she didn’t. until she was seventeen alone and scared and what are you supposed to do with that?? and let’s not even get started on the fact she only gains her new family through death as well. like. there’s so much there there are so many reasons to stay guarded and fearful and just overall pessimistic about the concept of family especially as something built to last. and then henry!!! who never knew his birth parents and on top of that never got a home like paige paige got a home she got a family who loved her hell she actually got two henry never had that henry always had nothing and like he kinda grew up in that shell said he didn’t want to leave when people started getting close he had to push them away bc he didn’t know who he was if he wasn’t alone and paige is like hey hi?? you wanna be alone so bad be alone but i actually fucking like you and i know you like me too so don’t just push me out because that’s what makes you feel "comfortable” when you know you’re miserable in your comfort. and she’s right but it’s still a hurdle for henry and it’s this push and pull of the tides where bit by bit they kind of have to learn that it’s lonely up on the pedestal of independence and it can actually be nice to be vulnerable with somebody yes it’s fucking terrifying to just like show yourself to someone honestly because like!! they can turn away what if they turn away but to experience the rewards of love we must first subject ourselves to the morifying ordeal of being known. and it’s a painful process for both of them but the fruits of those labors man it’s well fucking worth it and it’s a relationship especially on henry’s side that is plagued with external insecurities other people telling him that he is not cut from the right cloth to be with paige but like. it’s like he’s already torn down his walls to be with her and she’s done the same and he realizes he loves her like He Loves Her like. like!! who gives a fuck what anyone else says he loves paige. and then paige reciprocates omg!!! haha fuck yeah. and then like i also think henry’s just super fuckin corny levels of domestic like makes french toast every sunday and fingerpaints with his kids and is in the dad’s club at the elementary school and just does all the things that he fuckin prayed for as a child just a constant stable feeling of home of love and like. like!!!! i’m gonna bite someone like. paige&henry man.

piper/leo though as previously established is like Thee charmed couple you know they are there all eight seasons they get points for that but obviously from reading my first two ones i kinda just fill in a lot of gaps there which i am able to do bc each couple probably checks in at 150min of screentime total. piper and leo don’t get that so like i don’t get to do that. and like. the origins of them i just don’t quite get you know which was really just cause it was such a new show and this was a new lil relationship they weren’t sure what they were gonna do with it and then again like issues with canon and the whole whitelighter thing but what i would have loved to see more in the early stages is just like why. like obviously they both found the other cute but we never really got the Moments bc it was all so preferrial and then next thing you know leo’s dying in the attic and piper loves him like i would have loved the in between and a bit more of the internal monologue the jump then fall especially on leo’s part which is like canon’s fault but like. you know like why if he was a whitelighter and knew the rules blah blah blah and it was because the writers didn’t know but like. still you know. and then s2 was bogged down my dan and i just really didn’t care for it that much because like. idk i didn’t love a lot of leo’s vibes early s2 were he was trying to keep it strictly professional and just ended up coming across as weirdly bitter and possessive however i Loved him bonding with dan in pardon my past that was a nice touch. of course later seasons pleo really makes up for the lackluster of the early seasons bc they are just so domestic like they know each others strengths so well and leo loves piper’s cooking and they’re corny n cute and they have their little moment and i do mostly like their relationship therapy bits i like that that was incorporated bc like. it happens man it’s not something to keep taboo it happens. but i do feel like that shit was often resolved too quick and then the same shit dredged up ten minutes later like some one trick pony. i also love how ride or die they are points for that. leo’s like i killed an elder and piper’s like alright. they’re really in it through thick n thin n i respect that

Lan Jingyi

being the fashion diva he is, you know he takes great care of himself. his hair is always really soft and he has a skincare routine he follows religiously.

the ends of his hair (which is still v. long, bc i need ponytail ljy, but he cuts it sometimes) are dyed blue, and he wears his hair in a ponytail.

only his right ear is pierced at first, but he gets the other one pierced too so he can wear long dangly earrings.

jingyi’s fashion taste is definitely the most out there, compared to the other juniors. he prefers dresses over skirts (but likes both of em), and hates jean shorts but likes jeans.

he wears a lot of light blues, and l e a t h e r

(not neccessarily together though. he has a black leather jacket he wears with red)

go-to outfit is a white tee or crop top paired with high-waisted jeans. probably wears checkered vans or something, but also likes leather boots. despises heels.

he also likes ripped jeans & graphic shirts, but can and will enjoy wearing a cropped tank top with a short skirt.

loves experimenting with makeup and nails, especially doing up his eyes

Jin Ling

the most floofy, oversized clothing. will bury himself in a comfy sweatshirt or hoodie and never leave.

surprisingly the only one of them who likes heels, cause they make him taller.

longer hair than oyzz, but shorter than ljy’s. wears it in a ponytail, with bangs framing his face (kinda like jzx’s hairstyle)

when he isn’t wearing a hoodie or sweatshirt, he’ll steal Jingyi’s beloved black leather jacket. Jingyi doesn’t really mind, bc he lives for jl dressing up.

the outfits ljy makes jl try on are scary.

will wear dresses and doesn’t give a fuck about what anyone has to say about it.

has a thing for ribbons. idk why-

not a fan of plaid or patterns in general. however (unrelated), he will wear eyeliner/mascara on special occasions.

oyzz gifted him a lotus fragrance. he has no idea what to do with it though.

sometimes wears pink lip gloss.

he wears a lot of yellow, blue, purple, white, and sometimes pink. refuses to wear red, but sometimes is forced to.

jean shorts during the summer!! the one season where he can’t wear hoodies/sweatshirts.

Give me a character and I will answer:

Why I like them: The concept of Legion is a super fun, engaging one, even if in practice it was kinda underwhelming. As a character, Susie as a kinda shy, naive hanger-on that got in so far over her head and is now struggling to stay a part of her gang, being forced to kill people when she isn’t even all the way grown up yet and definitely wouldn’t have chosen to in the first place-- that’s engaging.

Why I don’t: Hate how fandom infantilizes her at times. I tend to never specifically hate a character for how they’re shown in canon, unless the devs fuck it up (see: Doc, Julie’s tome), with some notable exceptions that I think have just been poorly conceived and written from the start (say, Mustafa Ali leading Retribution, also bc out of kayfabe he’s I think said he’s unhappy with it because he doesn’t want to be playing a villain; it makes no sense with his previously established character and he’s clearly not having a good time playing it, and Retribution is ALSO clearly thinly-veiled Antifa or whatever so we’re supposed to think they’re villains bc mr mcmahon is an old fuck), and at that point it’s not even hatred for the character themselves; I fucking HATE Freddy but can’t deny that he’s a PHENOMENAL villain and the visceral, passionate hatred I have for him makes me root against him and for the heroes, and I love seeing him get what’s coming to him. In wrestling terms, that’s called heat, and it’s a good thing and good villains should be able to generate heat. After Doc’s tome, I’m like a skittish feral animal, I don’t trust them to not wreck him further-- they took a great fckn villain and decided to depart entirely from one trope onto another, which would be fine, if they had introduced an entirely new character to fill the niche! The emotion I feel toward tome-Doc is, in wrestling, “go away heat”, which is a bad kind of heat bc the audience doesn’t want to SEE the villain, doesn’t want to watch them get beat up even, they just want them to go away and for the story to continue. I feel this way toward say, Thanos too btw, purely because of how he was portrayed by the writers. A good writer can take a mediocre, C-list character and elevate them to godlike status (Kite Man. F*** yeah Kite man) and writers who don’t care, don’t know the character, have an alternate agenda, or just... don’t have time or energy to do a character justice can cause a fandom to lose interest in a character entirely. I’m sure there’s a way to make me interested in Thanos. Apologia for his abuse and shitty actions throughout an entire series of movies is not the way to do that.

ANYWAY BACK TO SUSIE. Her Lunar New Year skin is a prime example of me losing interest in the canon direction of a character. It contradicts her original lore and the characterization set forth there. If we’re to assume that these skins are legitimate/”real”, which people are totally allowed to do, it paints a very different picture of Susie.

Thank god for fic that rehabilitates her tho (ILM by @ziracona does a good job of portraying a semi-adult Susie who still has some kidlike attributes, bc ofc she’s the baby of the gang).

so, uh, @outervvorlds posted an Outer Worlds Ask Meme for everyone’s captains and since i am a menace, stuck at home with a broken foot with nothing better to do, i did the whole damn thing myself so uhhhh here

Basics! Name, age, personality, etc. What do they look like? Are they a new or old oc?

Her name is Izumi Tanaka, but she goes by Izzy in this universe. She’s a 26 year old diva and flirt from a bad past on earth. She likes to make the joke that she likes “looking like a prostitute, but the nice ones, the ones you have to call a number for”. She’s mixed race, mostly Japanese but also African, German, and many other things. She’s a lightskin WOC with green eyes, long wavy black hair, and a shit ton of freckles. She’s very conventionally attractive(high cheekbones, tiny nose, large lips, almond shaped eyes) and she uses it to her advantage at every opportunity. She is an old OC from One Piece!

What are their attributes, perks, and flaws?

No flaws yet as of my current playthrough with her, but she’s very speech-oriented. She has a high Charm and Temperament, but she’s also skilled in melee, particularly two-handed, as well as being a talented engineer. She sucks at sneak, which is hilarious bc she’s also a chronic kleptomaniac.

What do they believe in?

She comes across as very critical of any particular ideology, but when she’s drunk it becomes more apparent that she just asks a lot of questions bc she wants to know everything before committing to something. Doesn’t stop her from siding with Dr. Welles with no information, since he did something for her by waking her up from hibernation.

How did they react to becoming Captain of the Unreliable? Are they much of a leader?

She was mostly just excited to have a ship. She originally intended to just run a solo ship like Hawthorne had, but she also loves to have people around, being an extrovert. She is flying by the seat of her pants when it comes to leadership, but so far bc of her extensive ability to bullshit her way through everything, she seems to be taking the role well.

What was their life like before being iced?

She grew up in a community similar to Byzantium - rich, snobby, and seedy. She was abused by her parents, and given to other high-society types by them to abuse for more money. She eventually snapped and killed her family and set their mansion ablaze to hide the evidence. As she was still a minor at the time and had no other living relatives, she was sent to an orphanage where she met her life-long friend Corona Nova(another imported One Piece OC of mine!), also known as Coco. The two eventually left to look for Coco’s missing younger sister, and became homeless. Izzy developed a drug problem and turned to merc work, partially for drug money and partially to kill the rest of those who’d abused her as a child. When the last one died, not by her hand but of old age, she had a come to jesus moment and got clean from drugs. She also discovered she had a love of mechanical engineering, getting a job at a local shop. It was there that she met Killer, a man she’d eventually end up in a “relationship” with; they weren’t exclusive, but they would actively discourage each other from being with anyone else. While she was working out how to love someone like a normal human being, he was killed. She never dated after him, and several years later, she signed onto the Hope after being tired of life on earth.

Did they have any family before becoming Captain? Do they think their crew as family?

She had found family in Coco and Calli, a mutual friend of all of theirs who was a occult practitioner named Sai, Killer, as well as her mercenary crew. At first she keeps the Unreliable crew at a friendly but extensive arm’s length, but by the end of it all she ends up considering the crew a family.

What’s their fighting style? Who do they bring along?

She is a SUCKER for 2-handed melee, especially hammers. ESPECIALLY the Prismatic Hammer. She’s also decent at sniping, but she sucks at stealth so she’s not a sneaky sniper. She always has Felix with her, and then it’s usually between Max and Nyoka.

Is Spacer’s Choice their only choice? What do they think of the corporations? She fucking hates the corporations, but tries to be nice to pretty much everyone she meets who’s not a direct Board pawn. She ends up being well liked by most people controlled by the corporations, which tends to give her an unwantedly high reputation with them.

What do they think of the factions? Are they liked or disliked by any? By the end of the story, she’s liked by most factions except the Board and the corps. She’s revered by the Groundbreaker, most of Monarch, and pretty much everywhere except Byzantium folk.

What’s their favourite place in Halcyon? Least favourite? Favorite place is Monarch and anywhere on Terra 2 except Byzantium. She fucking despises Byzantium, it reminds her of her childhood.

Do they have a favourite alien creature? She dislikes most of them, since they mostly want to eat her. She thinks sprats are cute but isn’t above killing them to get their pelts for money.

Did they save The Hope?

She did, and even though she cried over it, she took all of the whatever the fuck its called that Phineas has you steal from Byzantium to save them. She hated that she had to kill all those innocent people, but she knew they were already dead since the Board didn’t have any plans to wake them, and didn’t know how besides. It still did a number on her, though.

What do they want to do afterwards? - but do they get a happy ending? Her original reasoning for getting on board the Hope was to get as far away from “civilized” society as possible, and make a private life for herself. But by the end, all she wants is to continue to help people with Felix, which she does. She’s finally happy and at peace with her past, so I’d say she got a happy ending.

What do they think of the companions? Friendships, crushes, dislikes, etc. She loves all her companions like family by the end, but she did not care for Ellie in the beginning, and she was very wary of Max, mostly bc his drive to complete his goal, no matter the cost, which reminds her of herself in the thick of her personal revenge against her abusers. She found Parvati to be sweet if naive, but she really fell into favor with Nyoka and Felix, and Max after his drug trip. She’s head over heels for Felix, and ends up with him after her kidnapping on Monarch.

How do the companion quests go? She sets Parvati up with Junlei, helps Max become a Philosophist, helps Ellie get back at her parents. She cries with Nyoka over finding out her merc crew left the rest of them behind, and she doesn’t trust Clyde from the beginning, with the way he treats Felix. She doesn’t chastise him for being too trusting though.

What’s their love language? She’s pretty unsure of this herself, being that she’s never been in a normal, stable relationship, but she knows she loves to get gifts for her loved ones. She gets all of the crew anything they ever want. She also just loves to spend time with her loved ones, even just being in the same room doing separate things makes her happy.

Are they in a relationship? Do they want to be? She ends up in a relationship with Felix by the end. She’s always joked that she’s allergic to commitment, but she finds herself wanting to spend all of her free time with Felix, and even though she’s naturally a cuddly person, she’s extra-cuddly with him. She ends up realizing “oh shit, i like him way more than i intended to” at some point during her trip.

How to win them over? She’s more motivated by fun experiences and flattery than money, although she does like having bits for buying as much booze and cigs as she wants. Romantically, she enjoys people with a sense of humor, but who can be real. She loves Felix bc he’s 100% authentic at all times, says and does exactly what he wants… And because she loves how dumb he acts/is.

How to break their heart?

It’s very rare for her to let someone get under her skin long enough to break her heart, but she’s been fighting all her life to prove to herself that even though she’s a murderer, she is still a good person, so someone telling her otherwise stings pretty bad.

How did those cows get onto their ship?? She ordered them for their wool. She’s very into fashion but HATES spacer fashion, so she tried her hand to shear their wool and spin it and make something out of it. Results haven’t been good but she keeps trying.

A song that reminds you of them, Bad at Love by Halsey is a big one, I by Kendrick Lamar, I Like It and Be Careful by Cardi B. Any big party banger type song too, Izzy’s a party animal.

Three random facts about them.

-she’s a crazy chain smoker. She steals cigarettes more often than anything else, save for ship decorations. -she had a really shitty punk band on earth. The crew manages to recover some audio recordings(long story, it’ll be in the fic). Felix is the only one who enjoys it. Parvati tries to say something nice. Everyone else gives her all the shit for it. -if given the choice, she would never wear a proper shirt. She loves to have her midriff showing. In the fic, she finds a cache of her old shit that Coco brought along on the Groundbreaker, and Izumi cries when she finds out that Coco put all her old favorite clothing articles in it. (Felix is very happy, as most of the outfits are skimpy)

Why do you ship Frost Iron? I'd never heard of this shipping before and i want to know why, how it started and what attracts people to ship them. Because personally, my only ship is Vision Scarlet ( and i knew them from the comics)

Oh, why do I ship frostiron you ask? Let’s see *crazy grin**searching for PowerPoint presentation bc I swear I had one somewhere here**loading*. . . Ok.

First, I have to say that English is still giving mehell (yes grammar, I’m looking at you), but I’m trying my best. Second, I also haveto say that your question is legit. Like, Tony and Loki had only one properinteraction in the whole mcu, and it wasn’t even a friendly one, so where theheck did the ship came from, right? Well, for me it comes down to two things: a)Tony and Loki are my favoritecharacters, b)frostiron is an awesome shipby default.

Let’s break it down:

Loki – in myopinion, Loki is hands down the most interesting character in the whole mcu. Itwas both heartbreaking and fascinating watching him change from that smart, quietyet mischievous boy who never wanted the crown, to a full on seeking revenge being,all bc he wanted his father approval for once in his life. He was being lied tohis entire life, people didn’t trust him and it seemed no one really botheredto understand him. He was just the cunning jealous brother. Loki isn’t a saint,of course. I can try and defend his every move, but the truth is his actionsspeaks of a not very stable person to begin with – in his rage he did try tokill his brother and then destroy a whole planet in an attempt to wipe anentire species out. But that’s exactly it; he’s not just the two dimensional villainnext door, even though that’s what the movies wants us to think. A lot ofpeople like to shout that Loki is strait out bad, which is infuriating and hereis a great post why.

Moreover, hewas unfortunate enough to fall to the hands of Thanos, go through torture andthen invade earth with an alien army, unknowingly influenced by the scepter hewas given. This whole thing was a giant mess and I sympathize with TDW Loki somuch it hurts.

That beingsaid, I believe Loki deserves redemption. I would do A LOT to see him become anavenger or just being given the opportunity to prove he’s worth.

Tony – oh tony.Tony is the heart and soul of everything. Iron man is the reason I sticked withmarvel in the first place and I would effing die for him. He’s a witty and crazygenius who didn’t think twice about shutting down his weapon manufacture the minuethe learned what’s really going on. He’s a smartass with a big heart and evenbigger mouth that most of the time can get out of troubles as easily as he canget in them. He went through torture and came out stronger, he suffers fromPTSD but kept going on nevertheless and it’s just admirable. Now I can go on andon about him, but I believe you get the point. Bottom line is that he’s not theboring good hero. He’s use to thinking out of the box and if I can see anavenger that give a villain a chance, it’s him.

Frostiron – for the longest time I thought about Tony and lokias individuals, the thought of them as a couple didn’t even crossed my mind. Iwas toying a lot with BrotherScience (Tony and Bruce) bc they’re cute as hell, andspent a lot of time crying over Loki, but one day I thought to myself ‘what wouldhappened if they were together?’ and it was like someone dropped a piano on myhead bc dang ‘WHAT WOULD HAPPENED IF THEY WERE TOGETHER!’ and that was it basically.Like, the POTENTIAL of putting these two together for more than five minutes, whatwith Tony’s cheeky sense of humor and Loki’s snarky retorts and general cockinessthey can roast each other no problem. Their dialogs could be freaking EPIC. I wantedto see them interact bc they are both divas who can appreciate mischief as muchas seriousness. I wanted to see them interact bc both of them went through helland back and can understand each other perfectly. I wanted to see them interactbc Loki is the ‘no nonsense’ kind of god while tony is ‘all `bout that bullshit’kind of guy and therefor they’re so very different from each other. I wanted tosee them interact bc Loki needs a hug and Tony is capable of giving him one. They’re alike and they’re different and they complementeach other. I wanted to see them work together on the same side just bc that couldbe freaking awesome and bc Loki deserves that.

Like, so much started to click in my head I almost got a whiplash(and I’m not even referring to what an aesthetic couple they would make bc thanI would never shut up). Of course there was also the aspect of ‘enemiesinteraction’ and there’s nothing my shipper heart loves more than a goodenemies (to friends) to lovers fic. That was the point where I was readyto open a Word document and right myself a fic bc for some season I thoughtthere was no fandom to this. Boy I was wrong. At the time there where over 6K worth offanfics and my face was ‘WHAT??’. I mean, people shiped them like there’s notomorrow (maybe there isn’t, since Endgame is right around the corner, butthat’s not the point) and this ship basically sailed itself bc who even needscanon and that was both crazy and awesome. Then I read the iconic BendAround the Wind by Scyllaya and it was downhill from there bc apparently I wascapable of falling in love even more with this ship.

So yeah, I just wrote a 1k essay about frostiron instead ofwriting my seminars, but well.

aaaaaaand here’s part 2 of the extensive (book & netflix) masterpost of all my fave eslaf moments!!!! again, fair warning, this is a very long post

i wish i could have done all this in one part but i hit a size limit oops

NOW ONTO SEASON 3!!! which was a nightmare but i’ll try to pretend it wasn’t for the sake of this post

to begin: the constant endearments in the book (and the show... “darling dearest dreamboat” damn esmé) have me losing my wholeass mind like

next up we have the indisputable fact that they f*cked in the tent on mount fraught. my proof is that they shared a tent and it was cold and so they had to generate heat. thank you

and then another instance of their shared brain cell evaporating

olaf being super proud of scoring the world’s hottest girlfriend and bragging to his parental figures is surprisingly wholesome

aaaand their brain cell is still missing in action

it’s very very cute how olaf obviously has zero artistic talent but esmé is always out there looking at him putting on a show like he’s the most amazing actor alive

and next on the list of scenes we were robbed of: p h y s i c a l a f f e c t i o n

but at least the most important line, that is:

ok submarine time!!!! aka netflix making the sugar bowl esmé’s priority whereas in the book it is olaf’s as well AND netflix making it look like olaf was against carmelita joining them whereas it was his idea in the book… so basically all the reasons they fight in the show are unsubstantiated but go off i guess

very grateful for this Old Married Couple Bickering tho

and i know this whole scene is very problematic and talked about profusely on tumblr dot com but i’m including this screencap bc it’s soft how esmé considers them all a family

and Oh Wait olaf does too i’m melting

it’s like in TPP they wrote him bitching about “pretending to be a family” but he didn’t have any issues with it earlier, he just ran with it when esmé called carmelita their daughter

and was like “i know” ok netflix so why have him complain about it later on smh… he’s clearly not THAT mad about it, like:

anyway this next scene deserves an emmy. give lucy an emmy for the delivery of “BUT DARLING”

and this is also soft bc olaf is like :/ and then esmé says something and he turns to her and is like :) so that always has me on the floor in tears

out of context this sentence is wild but like… netflix back at it again with robbing us of all the affectionate scenes huh

and here’s another instance of Couples Scheming being a fun activity to do together

and then we have their joint brain cell screaming for help but it’s adorable so

and then they go off to f*ck again

next up this whole beach scene is just more old married couple behavior and i absolutely adore it

and then we have Bonding Over Arson ~just couple things~

the fact that as the series progresses they go from “count olaf’s gf” to “esmé squalor’s bf” is legendary

and now this isn’t really a fave scene per se BUT considering the mess netflix made of the breakup i have to give a shoutout to the book version bc in comparison to the show version it’s.. beautiful how Mutual Agreement it is

but yeah lucy is spectacular here and it adds fuel to the Esmé Did Have Feelings For Olaf Because Otherwise She Wouldn’t Be Crying fire, which is great for me bc i love my otps with a side of angst

and of course netflix confirmed that esmé squalor, the city’s sixth most important financial advisor, has a daddy kink, so that’s incredible

you may think i’m done bc they broke up but no

here we have them a millisecond away from murdering each other but they’ll still take time out of their busy schedules to menacingly glare at children together. a spiritual bond that no breakup can destroy

but the real gem is the massive horny on main energy in the opera flashback (which was awful, but horny, so i have mixed feelings)

ever since i read the end a billion years ago i always used to think olaf meant kit in this scene but like ?????? over the past few months i’ve been thinking, what if he meant esmé?? i mean, nothing directly negates that possibility, the books are so ambiguous and so open to interpretation that i might as well twist them to fit my headcanons, as we all do, so why tf not

and i’m gonna add some final Thoughts and Opinions in case i get more anons asking why i ship eslaf even though they’re constantly bickering &/or about to Snap and kill each other:

i’m hopelessly weak for villainous ‘us against the world’ power couples and it’s like.. even though in the series they ultimately have different end goals, they have a great time being awful people together along the way and that’s all that matters, that familiarity and mutual understanding between them. neither of them ever tried to change the other, they’re both garbage people and that’s why they get along, and what makes them so compatible

and while i’m still hesitant to use the word ‘love’ in regard to their relationship bc it just doesn’t feel Right to me (i know there’s people out there who feel otherwise but i’m still meh about it), i don’t doubt that they had feelings for each other deep down, even if they didn’t always outwardly express them

so that’s my massive essay with so much source evidence that tumblr made me divide it into 2 separate posts thank you for your attention i need a vacation from tumblr now bc this took me HOURS

well most girls don’t get off from penetration alone actually, so the fact that you’ve only ever been able to get off from clitoral stimulation is completely normal and actually more common. it’s perfectly plausible that you just don’t enjoy self-penetration. but as a tip i used to also be this way until i started stimulating my gspot and that was how i eventually started reaching orgasms via penetration. you just have to rub against the front of your vaginal wall against the spot that a lot of people describe as uneven or ridgy. just make sure you’re decently aroused beforehand and experiment with different motions until it’s you find one that works for you!

shaving can be tricky bc sometimes it seems you can follow all the steps that anyone tells you and the razor burn still happens. there are tons of youtube videos on this actually if you want to go look those up. but as a general run though lots of them will tell you to get a good razor (one with lots of blades. the more blades the smoother the shave and the less it catches the skin), shave in the direction of the hair follicle. also this is just from personal experience, but after you shave you might itch really badly down there. i know it’s tempting but don’t do it. you’re gonna be covered in razor bumps right after if you itch it. so just try to fight through that lol

I'm going to be living in the french quarter for a week in march for work - any recs on places i should visit etc?

Yes! A whole week is plenty of time to wedge in VC location visits around the work-related stuff ;D

FYI in my list, I have things in the French Quarter, the Garden District (you can take the streetcar to get there, or walk, if you have the time/interest, it’s 2.5 miles away), and then outside the city are swamp tours (which I really want to do next time I visit) and the plantation houses (Pointe du Lac!).

These aren’t in any geographical order, just the order I’m thinking of them:

+ Gallier House - A must-visit, this is the flat AR based Rue Royale on. They give tours bc it’s a historical site. It’s not expensive, book in advance. They also have a gift shop and I got a nice necklace there.

^My estimation of the room assignments bc reasons. Re: “slave quarters,” that’s unfortunately part of the history of that building :P but I think by the time L/L were there, those rooms were used for storage bc there’s little closet space in the living quarters, and the maids they hire don’t live with them.

Note: @gairid considers the flat across the street (1127) to be the true home of L/L bc the balcony is much more verdant, and you know Lestat would have all kinds of flora on their balcony! It’s a private residence, though.

+ Oak Alley Plantation - this was used for Pointe du Lac plantation in the movie. It’s a ways away, like 45 min outside NOLA? Maybe more, but worth the trip! You can pay for the bus tickets and tour package, get there and wander around, there’s food and historical info, highly recommend. Allegedly, Brad Pitt still visits and he stays in one of the guest houses.

Note: They also filmed at neighboring Destrehan Plantation, but I haven’t been there, idk if it’s worth going.

+ Madame John’s Legacy - 632 Dumaine St, this is the scene in which a family’s worth of coffins are carried out; Lestat & Claudia had been so gluttonous. This building is sometimes open to the public, the last time I was there they had a cool ceramics exhibition.

+ Jackson Square - mentioned in canon pretty often, you can’t really go to NOLA and not visit.

+ The Cabildo at Jackson Square - I didn’t go in, I think you can. This is where Lestat watches Claudia kill, that same gate is there, you can go hang out in front of it and pretend to watch your vampire daughter kill a victim.

+ Court of Two Sisters - 613 Royal St, I really enjoyed the Sunday brunch, there’s a cute little courtyard with fountains, and live music sometimes. They had this oreo pie that like… dangerous.

+ Cafe Du Monde - mentioned in canon, they serve like 2 things, beignets and coffee (nothing super fancy), very affordable, and are almost always crowded, but totally worth it. If you go around the back there’s a window where you can see them making the beignets!

+ Arnaud’s - very good restaurant in the French Quarter

+ Port of Call - 838 Esplanade Ave, stardustschild, I see in your profile that you’re not over 21, but for OTHER ppl reading this post, this is a good place for a go-cup drink ~$10, it’s large and 1 is enough to catch a good buzz.

+ NAPOLEON HOUSE - Muffalettas, po’ boys & other Creole staples in a circa-1914 house with a palm-filled courtyard. @gairid recs the SAZERAC (for the 21+ people reading this post, not you, stardustchild) here.

+ French Market - that’s a pretty standard suggestion so I have to include it but I didn’t think it was all that big of a deal.

+ Trashy Diva clothing boutique - 537 Royal St, they have a few locations. I got a great little black velvet jacket here!

+ 2301 and 2524 St. Charles Ave, Garden District - AR’s childhood homes

- (Not a location really) 1233 COLISEUM ST. - where the Coliseum theatre was in the scene when Louis goes to the movies, it burned down ;A; But that neighborhood is kind of fun to walk around and just look at the nice houses on your way to Lafayette Cemetery.

+ Commander’s Palace, Garden District - good restaurant but pricey. I had an elder flower liqueur cocktail that was pretty special there. This restaurant is a favorite of the Mayfair family.

+ 1239 First Street, Garden District - This historic property was for many years Anne Rice’s primary residence.

+ Mayfair house, Garden District - 3711 St Charles Ave. Not really as crucial on my own list of locations but still. @cloudsinvenice had posted: “Anne Rice’s former New Orleans home is back on the market again, as per this Curbed.com article, from which I’ve selected some photos. This is the house that inspired the Mayfair witches’ haunted family home…”

+ Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, Garden District - mentioned in canon, free but only open during daylight hours tho!

+ St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 - There are tours and I think Nicolas Cage’s very weird pyramid tomb is there, he’s paid for it, and that’s where he plans to be when he’s shuffled off this mortal coil…

+ Bourbon French Parfums - 805 Royal St. bc Louis was all about the jasmine and stuff, they have great sets of perfumes and their own concoctions.

+ DeVille Coffee House & Creperie - 2045 Magazine St, I just really like their crepe suzettes

+ New Orleans Pharmacy Museum - I didn’t get to go here but it was on my list. I think it’s like $5 to go.

+ Marie Leveau’s Grave and Voodoo Shop - has cool stuff, like coffin nails!

+ Boutique du Vampyre - 709 ½ St. Anne Street, IIRC I got a cool poison ring here, they have vampiry wares.

^RIGHT I forgot about that, it’s a relatively recent rule, within the last few years I think? Partly bc of the vandalism that was happening, and offerings/graffiti on some of the famous tombs like Marie Laveau's Tomb. But do take a tour if you have the time/money/interest, bc they are informative and spoopy.

ok!! i love u anon

i have about 5 pets, but in total ive had maybe about 12? so ill talk about them in chronological order :-) also, as the circle of life goes, some of my pets have passed, so just a warning that the topic of animal death will be mentioned in this post :~) also im putting this under a read more bc yknow i have a lot SKL;SDL;K

my first dog was a white maltese named casey (or kasey, or casee, idk how my mom spelled it). my mom had him for 4 years before i was born and he lived to about 16. i dont know if he liked me that much because i never really had any special memories of him and i mostly remember him being old and grumpy. he was still cute though!!

when i was like, a toddler my mom bought (or rescued, i dont remember him at all) an english bulldog. only problem was he was deaf, and i was a small child, and we may or may not have also had a cat (who ill talk about in a sec) so he REALLY wasn’t the type of dog for us. i hope he found owners who could take care of him tho :~)

i also had a cat named bingo! he was a russian blue, but he ran away when i was little. (for the record, i’m pretty sure he went to live with some neighbors)

finally getting to some animals i remember, when i was like 5 my mom bought us a beagle! (her name is coco) she was uhh my dads valentines present bc he said he always wanted a snoopy dog. she’s still with us today and is a good girl but also really cranky sometimes.. i still luv her :-D for a beagle tho she’s really large?!?! and she loves food like she guards her food and when we cook meat she barks if we dont give her any

my 7th birthday present was my shih tzu abigail :~) she was my princess… i loved her so much!! she was a black shih tzu. she was spoiled and a bit of a diva but still the sweetest. my whole family adored her. oh my gosh i loved her soo much but sadly she passed last year :-( she was still alive when we got nina though, and she was like a mother to her.. she cleaned her ears!! it was so precious

we also have a maltese shih tzu mix! :~) we rescued tootie not too long after we got abby. she’s black and white, our oldest dog (aLDSLADS i think she’s older than me!!!), and really sweet.. but also super scrappy!! for a little dog she’ll get in a scuffle when it comes to food. she loves to sit in peoples laps (she really loved my dads) and she’s definitely our smallest dog. like i think she only weighs 8-10 pounds.

also abigail and tootie were really really close. they got groomed together and napped next to each other. i dont think tootie has ever been groomed without abigail.

I DONT REMEMBER WHEN but i also had a turtle creatively named turt. i dont really have any Special Memories of him except for he got way too big for his tank so we literally just let him go into the lake close to our house.

some time after casey passed we got olivia.. a friend of my moms had a boston terrier who just had her second litter of puppies. i love her, and i bought her with my own money. she’s how do you say REALLY spoiled. like she’s the only dog who can sleep in my moms bed. and she’s super attached to my mom these days. u LOOK at her the wrong way and she goes to my mom (or she hides if my mom is not in her chair). she’s also easily frightened? like my mom joked about putting a collar on her and she shaked so bad?? (she shakes really easily). also she’ll sit in my moms lap and “talk” to me (growl/whine at me) so yea she’s really.. interesting

when we moved to our new house my moms cousin needed to give her cat away so we got him!! his name is gus and i love him so much. he loves to play and sleep and get on the windowsill and the cabinets. he meows at me to say hello.. and he watches me put on my makeup. the other day he LITERALLY chose my eyeshadow it was funny.. sometimes he comes to my door in the dead of the night and YELLS at me to let him in. when i get up in the morning he waits at me by the gate

when my moms boyfriend lived with us he had 2 pitbulls, which started my love of pitbulls. sadly we had to keep them outside (not my choice, but we also had 4 dogs and a cat and we didnt want to take any chances) and karma ended up passing. but rc survived and we ended up letting him live with us inside. he was a very sweet dog (albeit a little bit dumb) and he stayed with us inside before my moms boyfriend moved out and took him with him. olly and rc were best friends

nina is my pitbull and also my baby!! i love her SOOO much.. and she loves me a lot too KDSASKL;DKL like!! have u ever had a dog that stans u :/ like i breathe next to her and she goes crazy and wags her tail.. i love her so much and sometimes when i get really depressed i just.. think about how much i love her. we also got her from a family friend and she’s the smallest of her litter (but still pretty big). i’m pretty sure she thinks she’s the size of her sisters and she also LOVES to be loved.. like she’s a lovebug!! she’s also pretty smart!! she knows how to sit and listens pretty well… she’s sleeping in my bed rn :-)

umm thats a bit it! we also have a saltwater tank but we havent gotten around to fixing it up LSKD;ADL;K i’d love to have some smaller animals (or just less common animals) like birds, a bunny, a lizard, ykno how it is but idk if we have room for one.. but i love my pets and mango and i talk about our future pets a lot…
