With respect to OP, anyone claiming that astrology can accurately sort people into set categories is not using astrology properly.
In the most basic terms, astrology is trends, patterns, and potentials that are explained through the relationships between the astral bodies.
Two people can be born under the sign Aries. Or even have the same “big 3.” Does that automatically mean they’re exactly the same? Obviously not. That’s ridiculous.
Just like with any other “system”, such as language for instance (which is just as ‘made-up’ and categorical as astrology if we want to get philosophical about it), someone’s understanding of what was communicated depends on the person’s perspective, experiences, and a plethora of other factors.
“I love you so much” and “te amo mucho” mean the same thing, but depending on your personal experiences, you may only understand one of those sentences. Maybe you understand neither? Maybe both? It depends.
Two people may be Aries, but depending on their experiences, they may understand/identify/feel connected to different archetypes associated with that sign.
This is my ‘layman’s terms’ explanation. I could get into degree theory, aspects, astrological houses, Placidus vs whole sign, Vedic vs Tropical astrology, progressed charts, and more, but that’s an entirely other post.
All this to say: astrology is more complex than “lol I’m [insert sign/aspect/placement here] so that means I’m XYZ.” Anyone using it this way or explaining it in this way is usually someone who is still learning or who doesn’t fully understand the extent of astrology.
some people on the astrology post seem very concerned about having their beliefs respected, but what about my beliefs? namely my belief that any system claiming to accurately sort every single human being on earth into a set number categories based on arbitrary information is horseshit

I’m gonna be real I don’t really believe in astrology anymore (if only because I super can’t handle people mocking things I really actually believe in, so I stopped believing in it as a safety measure) but it IS a great litmus test for whether someone can actually handle the things about me that matter
If I mention I’m pagan and the instant response is “omggg you’re not gonna use your fake star racism to decide if we can be friends right lololol” I know I can’t tell that person anything about me that I care about. They can never ever know I’m a system or any of the intricacies of my gender or identity or my actual spiritual beliefs.
When someone is on that much a hair trigger to mock and belittle someone for believing in something they don’t like, that is the biggest brightest red flag. If they can’t give someone the most basic of respect for their beliefs and traditions and practices in spirituality and religion that’s not someone I want to hang around lest they find out im also astrology-level-or-more Weird in other more important ways to me
Being shitty about religion and spirituality isn’t cool or leftist or alt. It’s shitty. Period, end of statement. It is Required that you mind your fucking business and be kind to people. I truly couldn’t give less of a fuck that your friend in highschool was mean to you because you’re a Sagittarius. Grow up.

Your system belief and your brain
Hello! Today’s topic will be about how your belief system affects your brain and shape your reality.
I’ll be as short as possible because that is quite hard to comprehend at first.
First of all ; is having certain beliefs wrong?
No! For the most part it isn’t wrong to believe in what makes sense to you and gives a sense of balance and purpose in your life. If that allows you to feel fulfilled and satisfied in your life, there is nothing wrong. However what makes a belief wrong is how bad it impacts yourself and other people that are part or not of that belief.
What is the purpose of having a belief?
A belief is the belief to something higher, deeper or unexplainable someone thinks makes sense to their life and their environment. Basically, whatever you believe in, as long as your life becomes stable and you don’t feel lost about your human experience, that is a belief. Nihilism is the belief of believing in nothing, they do not believe in any gods or supernatural powers but the mere thoughts of thinking that there’s actually nothing above them makes sense to them and gives them peace of mind. Those believing in tarot aren’t wrong either, the same goes for Christianity, voodooism, astrology, etc., regardless of actual scientific evidences. We all believe in something actually, whether it is « nothing » or « a higher power » or even « science ». We believe in concepts such as Art and Love too. It doesn’t have to be scientifically explained. Most of the time a belief has to be felt and accepted as part of the individual’s identity as it shapes their world’s perception.
How does it impact my perception of reality? Should I be concerned?
Depends on what you do based on your belief system. How you act according to your belief and how it shapes the world you live in are a great indicator of whether or not you should be concerned.
If you put too much emphasis on somebody’s astrological signs and ignore their cultural, biological, religious and personal background just to force your narrative based on your belief on them, then it is wrong.
If you rely too much on an old book to understand how humans work, what is right and good without taking into consideration each community specifies and each individual’s experiences just to categorize them and judge them. It’s wrong.
Being too dependent on tarot cards to know your future to the point of isolating yourself and forcing your view on others when sometimes you just need to experience your life and accept that some things are meant to stay secret. But also that not anything should be taken that seriously to avoid suffering from disorders…
What you believe in does tell you how to understand the world, what you can do about it, what is « true », what is « good » or « bad », who you are. Which influence your self esteem, your perception of others and how you navigate your human experience with others in a fast moving world where nothing is set in stone.
Then I must be really careful to not force any of my narratives on people just because I feel like I can?
Correct ! Your belief is yours only whether or not you agree with other’s beliefs. Let people explore their life the way that feels great to them.
What about cults?! What about toxic beliefs systems?
Not every beliefs are good and healthy. Calling out bad behaviors and acts are healthy too. Being immoral/dangerous with people just because your belief told you so is not the right thing to do. It’s not because it’s allowed or a possibility that it should be done. People have the right to disagree with you and call you out when you go too far. Hurting somebody never has been a good thing to do or else everybody would be hurt just because « I believe so it is ».
Each individual goes through life at their own pace, with their own tools and use them the way that can be beneficial for themselves and others.
Is it beneficial for my brain? As it can make one do horrible things…
Yes it is! When you act correctly of course. It is because it gives sense to your life and the brain craves sense whether it is rational or not. It allows your brain to rest in times of intense emotional events, to find peace within yourself and find yourself people that share the same thoughts belief as you, which is still a good thing for your brain as being with other people is natural and a primary need.
It reorganizes your thoughts and allows you to understand your emotions in some way. You have representations that are unique to you/your people which allow the brain to work efficiently in areas that require specifics characteristics your beliefs gave you.
It is not necessarily a bad thing at all for your brain, however having bad behaviors because of that do have negative impacts on your brain.

Making this into its own post rather than a reblog and expanding on it, not to be an edgy Reddit atheist, but I’m extremely biased against anything that purports to explain the inner workings of the universe but can’t explain it scientifically, because I don’t believe in anything that can’t be scientifically proved and I can’t respect anyone who claims to be able to predict things and then can’t explain how their pet belief actually works in reality.
I’m sort of ok with religion because generally it’s nowadays restricted itself to explaining things that science doesn’t have the answer to yet, or can’t have the answer to, like what happens after death, and even if I’d argue the fact that many religions used to claim that factually inaccurate information about our world was true says things about its accuracy in the rest of its claims, I also understand religion is and has been an important part of humanity’s history and development and isn’t going to go away soon nor should we try to force it to go away given how important it is to people’s lives (and more importantly, all the human rights abuses getting rid of it would have to entail to be even mildly successful). But any belief system that says that it can predict things about our world definitively and provably accurately, should be able to prove it scientifically, and if it can’t it should be ignored for decision making purposes, because if it isn’t provably true, it should be considered false. Making decisions about things based on your whims is fine, but you shouldn’t pretend it’s anything other than your own opinions that are guiding the choices you’re making.
The fact is, if something is true, it is also by necessity provable to exist. That is just what I believe, that if something is a factual truth, it can be proven to be one. And astrology just has not been proven to accurately predict anything whatsoever and more importantly has failed replication in every reputable and reliable scientific study ever attempted.
Astrology has no mechanism of action that could even possibly explain what it purports to be true about the universe, no logical consistency in anything it claims to be true, no reliable central body of information, no falsifiability, it is almost the textbook definition of a pseudoscience. It is exclusively able to make predictions that ‘feel’ true based on the Barnum effect, and then allows one to think they have a reliable method of telling the ‘good’ people from the ‘bad’ based on whatever reasoning feels right at the time.
And the thing is, it’s easy to say “oh, it’s just for harmless fun”, and I get it! Silly tests and sorting categories are fun, it’s why people love doing it. But I don’t think making judgments about people based on things they can’t control is ever a good thing to regularly be doing, even for yourself. It’s just opening yourself up to all sorts of nasty biases to be reading about how all people born in the month of may or whatever are demons sent from hell that ruin every life they touch, and it opens you up to other forms of pseudoscience to be willing to believe in things without evidence.
Because even if you don’t believe it, lots of people do! Like, for real believe in it enough to make major life decisions on! In China people get told not to apply to jobs if they’re a certain astrological sign! There’s a superstition in Japan about women born in the year of the fire horse being husband-killers that was so fiercely believed in that the last year of the fire horse, 1966, the birth rate dropped 25%! In India, they have services for arranging marriages that use astrology to decide who they should marry, and I don’t think it takes much to guess how that could go wrong.
There’s just no reason that in 2022 we should be endorsing judgement of other people based on immutable circumstances of their birth because it’s ‘fun’, honestly.

Types of Witches
Traditional Witch - Traditional witches are witches who have a base in the history of witchcraft and the Old Craft that came before Wicca.
They take a historical (traditional) approach to their practice and often will study their ancestors or other folklore attached to witchcraft.
They want to honor the “old” ways of practicing their craft, and will often focus on working with the local history, nature, and spirits of where they are or where they’ve come from.
Sea Witch - A sea witch has strong ties to water and the ocean and uses that element often in her practice.
Sea and ocean magic will often use sand, shells, driftwood, or other elements that come from that place.
Sea witches feel connected to water and ancient folklore involving sirens etc.
Kitchen Witch - Also known sometimes as a hearth witch or a home witch, kitchen witches create most of their magick in the home or in the kitchen.
They are very home-based, often incredibly nurturing, and love to make their home a truly special and sacred space.
Kitchen witches love to cook and brew and use herbs, sometimes gathered from their own garden. This does now, however, mean that they are the same as green witches.
When practicing they combine their own personal and individual magical energy with essential oils, herbs, food, and everyday objects to create their spells, rituals, and magic.
Hedge Witch - Hedge witches practice what’s known as “hedge jumping” which is venturing out of this world and into the Otherworld.
Hedge witches can communicate with the spiritual world and can send messages between both worlds.
Hedge witches practice astral projection as well as work with herbs and Earth based magic.
But what makes them specifically a hedge witch is their ability to cross the “hedge” aka: the boundary between this world and the spirit world.
It’s thought that the “flying on a broomstick” legend was a misunderstanding based on hedge witches “flying” into the spiritual realm.
Elemental Witch - Elemental witches study and practice based on the four elements: earth, air, wind, and fire.
An elemental magic is work based on and honoring each element.
An elemental witch may have an altar for each specific element.
Elemental witches call on the elements when casting spells and performing rituals, and may even have an element that they personally identify with and work towards finding.
Ceremonial Witch - Ceremonial witches have many practices, but ceremonies and rituals are practices that they hold in especially high regard.
Ceremonial magic is worked into most of the elements of their practice.
They likely work a ritual or ceremony into whatever they’re casting or trying to accomplish.
They often call on specific beings and spiritual entities to assist them with whatever they’re casting.
Green Witch - Also called garden witches or forest witches, green witches are highly connected to the earth the energy that it possesses.
They may have their own garden where they grow their own herbs, but they also study their area and practice with local plants and their own environment.
They use plants/greenery in their spells and magic and sometimes, even their cooking and in their home. This does not mean that they are the same as a kitchen witch however.
They are often very natural and love to be in nature and near anything “green”—plants, trees, flowers, etc. They do this to be as close to Mother Earth, and the spirit she encompasses, as possible.
They are likely to be in-tune with the seasons and often use natural materials to create their own magical tools. They most likely try to perform all their spellwork and rituals outside in nature when possible.
Hereditary Witch - A hereditary witch is a witch that was born into witchcraft. It is a part of their family and/or their lineage.
Their magic and practice are passed down from previous generations, though they may work with their own individual practices as well or instead of their families. However, there is still choice.
Hereditary witches must be born into witchcraft, but if you do not choose to practice witchcraft you won’t STILL be a hereditary witch. Just because someone is born in a witch family it does not necessarily mean that they will be more knowledgeable or powerful than a non-hereditary witch either.
Cosmic Witch - Cosmic witches are contemporary witches who look to the cosmos, astrology, and astronomy and work those elements and celestial energy into their practice.
Also called “Star Witches”, these witches often follow the planets and the alignment of the stars and base their spells and rituals on the different placements.
Secular Witch - Secular witches still cast spells, use crystals, herbs, oils, and candles, but they don’t attach spirituality to their practice.
Secular witches don’t worship a deity or higher being—their practice is entirely non-religious.
They don’t believe in the power behind energy or that there is energy in their work.
This isn’t to say that a secular witch CAN’T be spiritual, it’s simply that their work is not. The two are entirely separate.
Solitary Witch - A solitary witch can be any type of witch, but they choose to practice alone rather than with a coven.
This could be by choice or because they haven’t found a group to work with yet.
A solitary witch can incorporate various different paths based on their interest and may or may not use witchcraft as part of a wider spiritual path or religion.
There are also legends that solitary witches are reincarnations of witches who have been practicing for generations and at puberty, their knowledge is awakened.
Since they already remember and understand the craft, their need for a coven is less than a newer witch.
Eclectic Witch - An eclectic witch does not have one set religion, practice, tradition, or culture that they pull from.
Their practice derives from many sources and, ultimately, becomes the witch’s own.
They may worship a higher being, or their practice may be primarily secular, or it might be its own kind of spiritual.
They rely on a variety of different cultures, beliefs, and systems to formulate their own personal witchcraft practice which may change and evolve over time. An eclectic witch ultimately makes their own “rules” with their practice—it is entirely unique based on the individual witch.
Other Witches Not Mentioned
Storm witches - work with weather and help create and guide storms
Specified witches - witches that work specially with magick like sex magick, glamor magick, divination, etc.
White witchcraft - witches with the goal of transcending the material world in favor of spiritual advancements.
Death Witches - work mainly in necromancy and with materials associated with death like grave dirt and bones.
Religious Witches - people who incorporate witchcraft as part of their religion/religious ceremonies/religious practices.
Bad Witches - witches who harass others, gatekeep, refuses criticism, appropriates other religions in favor of looking “worldly”,  uses age/time spent practicing witchcraft to talk down to or manipulate baby witches
Digital/Tech witches - a witch whose practice is located mostly online
Art/Craft witch - creator (and occasionally seller) of magickal tools and uses art to cast spells
Urban witches - witches who incorporate modern twists into their craft
Music witch - uses songs, poems, and chants to do magick (= more such as sigils on guitar picks)

A.N Unedited because i’m sleepy. There’s a fic I read when I first joined the fandom that inspired some of this chapter. i can’t remember the name but if you do, please tell me so I can credit. Comment on this chapter only or message to be on taglist please.
                             Chapter 5: Saturn
There was a rare occurrence that happens sometimes in Space where a Planet will tilt off its axis and disrupt the order of things in the galaxy forever. Even though it hasn’t happened yet, it doesn't make it not possible. You had always thought about that phenomenon and how you never quite understood how so many scientists just blindly believed in that possibility with no proof. It wasn’t until that dance with Spencer that you believed in it. If you were the galaxy, that dance was the tilt in your axis.
Nothing could quite be the same again.
It seemed that Spencer himself was the disruptor.
Since that day, everything between the two of you was different. It was simpler. It was too easy to have conversations, to laugh at each other's jokes, to spit inane useless facts at each other. But it also became too easy to melt at Spencer’s bright smile, too easy to stare at his hands as he helped you with your math sometimes, too easy to flush whenever he paid you a compliment on your work.
Too easy to fall in love with him.
You didn’t want to think about that but you couldn’t help it. At first, you wanted to chalk it up to you not knowing how to differentiate your feelings. Maybe you just thought you were in love with him because he was the first guy to be nice to you since Jonathan but as the days went on you knew that to not be the case. None of this felt like how you were with Jonathan. With Spencer, it just felt easy. Just felt right.
It was the weekend so you had off work. Before you would always end up going into work anyway and getting some extra logs in but now you liked staying in and hanging out with Spencer. Right now the two of you were walking in the plaza near your home, fresh cups of coffee in hand. Spencer, at first, did not want to be out but after some convincing (which was just you threatening to leave without him, which he did not like) he was all for joining you out. The two of you stopped in a bookstore and you made a beeline for the astrology section. You hear Spencer scoff when you pick up a book to look through it. You raise an eyebrow at him.
“What?” You say.
“Astrology, really? Aren’t you a scientist?”
“Yea, an astronomer. I love Space, so while Astrology isn’t a proven science. It’s fun to think the stars have a say in what kinda person you are.” You shrug. “When’s your birthday?”
“October 28th.”
“Of course you’re a Scorpio.”
“That doesn’t mean anything to me. Astrology isn’t real.”
“You must be real fun at parties.” You roll your eyes.
“Well, what’s your sign?”
“I’m a Cancer. Did you know that water signs are the most compatible? Especially Scorpios and Cancers.”
Spencer laughs out loud at that. You turn looking him in the eye. “What’s funny?” you say.
“That itself doesn’t tell you that astrology is bullshit?” He laughs. You narrow your eyes at him. “I mean, us, compatible? It’s funny.”
You try. You try so very hard not to look hurt by his words, you know Spencer’s a profiler and will see right through it. And he does by the sympathetic look he gives you.
“You’re right, maybe it is bullshit.” You say, putting the book down instantly. “Let’s go home.”
You and Spencer don’t talk the whole walk home, in fact you don’t talk when you get there. You’re about to just retreat to your room when you feel a hand circle your wrist.
“I’m sorry.” He says.
“You didn’t do anything.”
“I hurt your feelings.” He says.
“You didn’t hurt my feelings.” You lied. “I’m just with you all the time. Sometimes I just need a minute alone. Is that okay?”
He lets go of your wrist. “Of course, I’m sorry.”
You nod and retreat to your room, blowing a heavy breath as you fell into your bed. Might as well take a nap. You thought as you let sleep take you over.
-----------------------------------------------------
Long, slender fingers found their way into your hair and yanked roughly. You couldn’t help the soft whimper that came behind it. You felt the lips that were sucking hard bruising marks into your neck smirk slightly. His other hand trailed your body lightly until they met their final destination at your sex. You gasp loudly when the digit rubbed soft circles around your clit.
“Are you going to be good for me?” He asked, you nodded dumbly before moaning out loud when the first digit found its way inside you. Spencer smirked at you. “Look at you. I’ve barely touched you and you’re this wet for me. You want me to fuck you, don’t you?” He asked, you nodded and gasped again as he found that spot inside you. “Hmm, I don’t think you want it enough baby.”
You’re shaking your head immediately. “No. Ple-please fuck me.” You stutter. “I’ll be good, I swear.”
The smirk he gives you is almost devilish. “Alright, baby. I’ll take care of you.” He says as you feel member pressing up against your sex--
You wake up to the smell of something burning and Spencer shouting expletives from what you assumed was the kitchen. You groaned, frustratedly. Since that day your mom came to visit, you dreamed of Spencer almost constantly. Today was no different. You couldn’t escape him in your waking hours and now it seemed you couldn’t even escape him sleeping.
You hop out of bed and run to the kitchen. The sight before is Spencer frantically waving the billowing smoke that was coming from your oven. You run to open your window and turn the oven fan on. You both look at the pan that had something that couldn’t even be described as food anymore by the degree of which it was burned. Spencer looked at you guiltily.
“You seemed upset so I thought I’d make you dinner but I was reading and I lost track of time. I’m sorry, Y/N.”
You smile at him. “Thank you for thinking of me but I wanted chinese tonight anyway, sound good?”  You say, he nods gratefully.
Later the two of you are sitting at your kitchen table, eating chinese out of the takeaway containers. You were talking about nothing and everything until the topic came to College. You talked about how freshman year you did the whole partying thing before quickly finding out it wasn’t your scene and keeping to yourself for the rest of your college career. Spencer told you he never went to any parties in college.
“You never went to any parties?!” You asked, shocked.
“Well, I was 12. No one was really scrambling to invite me to frat parties.”
“So you didn’t do any traditional college games? No beer pong? No ‘Never Have I Ever’?” You ask, Spencer shakes his head. That’s when you get a fantastic idea. You get up and look in the cabinet above your stove which is where you kept your liquor and pulled out a bottle of Jameson. Spencer sees this and immediately shakes his head.
“No.”
“Aww, come on. Let’s play Never Have I Ever.” You smile. “If you’ve done the thing you drink.”
“I don’t want to play a remedial drinking game.”
You think for a second. “How about this? You’re a profiler, right? And I like to think I’m a little observant so how about this. We’ll take turns making assumptions about the other if the person is right, the other drinks and if they’re wrong, you drink.”
“I don’t know… it probably isn’t wise for me to be drinking. I’m supposed to be watching you.”
“It’s not like we go anywhere that’s not here anyway.” You say. “Plus, if you're good at your job, you’ll hardly have to drink.” You throw a pouty face on for good measure. Spencer rolls his eyes.
“Fine.” He says standing up and snatching the bottle from you, walking to the living room. You giggle at him before grabbing two glasses to follow him out. “Just so you know, it’s wrong to peer pressure people.” He says.
“Well, what’s a college drinking game without peer pressure.” You laugh.
-------------------------------------------------
“Who’s starting?” You say as you watch Spencer pour your glass. The two of you are settled on opposite ends of your small couch, facing each other, your knees just almost touching.
“You can.” Spencer says. “I want to see if you're actually observant.”
“Okay.” You say, sitting up slightly at the challenge. “You’re an only child.” You say. Spencer raises his eyebrows at you, shocked you actually got something right, but drinks anyway.
Spencer looks at you for a second. “You have an older sibling you are not close to.”
You drank. “Yea I’ve got an adoptive older brother. There’s nothing wrong, it’s just he was already much older when I was born and we have nothing in common, other than our parents.” You look at Spencer for a second. “I wanna say divorced parents, but only raised by one.”
“You’re a lot more observant than I thought.” Spencer says as he drinks. “Dad left when I was 10.” He says offhandedly.
The game goes like this for a while, both of you confirming your beliefs of each other. You find out about Spencer’s mother's illness, Spencer learning you smoke when you’re stressed. Spencer was winning though, not that you had a problem with that as you wanted to drink, hence why you suggested the game. You were giving him a little bit of a run for his money. It was now your turn and the alcohol in your system must’ve turned off your filter because you say.
“You’re a virgin.”
You pause for a second waiting for him to drink when you realize he’s waiting on you to. You widen your eyes in shock but take your drink anyway. “I thought Maeve died before you got to meet her fully.”
Spencer nods. “She did.” He says, “The two don’t correlate.” He says, like it's obvious.
You hadn’t been expecting that. “You just didn’t strike as the hit it and quit it type.”
“And I’m not, but sometimes things are just temporary.” He says looking at you, deeply in your eyes. “You were upset today, in the shop because I said we weren’t compatible.”
You solemnly take a drink. “Why?” He asks.
“Hey, that’s not a part of the game.” You say.
“Please?” He adds.
You sigh. “I don’t know… I guess, it seemed like the idea of being with me repulsed you. And that was upsetting.”
Spencer looks at you with the most intense look in his eye. You had never seen that look before and you were glad you hadn’t because it was so heated that it was melting you where you sat. “The idea of being with you…” He says, eyes flickering down to your lips and back to your eyes. “Doesn’t repulse me. Trust me.”
You knew you weren’t the best at social cues sometimes but that seemed like a pretty big one. You move closer to him, so that your faces were close but someone would still have to make that final move. You realize it’s your turn, so you think, Fuck it...
“You want to kiss me right now.” You say, looking Spencer in his eyes. He doesn’t say anything, just takes a slow swig from his glass, eyes never leaving yours. He sits his glass down on the table next to him before saying.
“You want me to kiss you.”
You sip your drink, looking him right back in the eyes. You sit your glass down next to his and Spencer's hand catches your wrist on its way back. Before you can even get a good look at him, his lips are crashing on to yours. You groan in surprise before melting into it, your hands immediately going for his hair. His massive hands almost engulf your face as he tries to pull you impossibly close to him. He groans as he licks into your mouth, both of you tasting like the Jameson you had just drunk but there was also something under it that was just pure Spencer. You push him back until you are fully seated in his lap. His hands go immediately to your waist. Feeling risky, you experimentally grind your hips, causing Spencer to groan and grip you tighter. His hands slide up your shirt slightly, you moan at that.
“Fuck-” Spencer says as you suck bruises down his neck. “Fuck, w-we’ve gotta stop.”
You pull back. “Why?” you ask.
Spencer swallows, pushing you off his lap. “There’s this thing called transference. You only want me right now because I’m protecting you. You don’t like me.” He says. “We don’t like each other.”
You realized what Spencer was trying to say. You were both drunk and there, he didn’t really want you. It was being stuck together for so long that was making him attracted to you. You were foolish to think a guy would actually want you.
“You don’t like me.” You say. “And I read this situation wrong again. God, I’m an idiot!”
“I didn’t say that, Y/N-”
“No, you’re right. You only kissed me because I’m what you’ve been stuck with for weeks. You don’t like me. I can’t blame you no guy ever does.”
“No, Y/N, I just didn’t want to take advan--”
“I need to smoke. I’m going out.” You say, grabbing. “Alone.”
“Y/N, that’s not safe and you know it. Let me go with you.”
“I think we both need to be away from each other. I’ll only be out front. Please.” You plead to him.
Spencer doesn’t say anything so you take that as your cue to go. You pull your pack and lighter out the kitchen draw and stomp out the door. As soon as you get in front of the building, you light the first cigarette as stray tears fall down your face. You were such an idiot to think someone like Spencer would want you. Sure you were both smart but you were arrogant and spiteful. Spencer was the sweetest person ever when you got to know him. It was stupid to think there was a world the two of you would work.
You frustratedly put your cigarette out and stand to head back inside to probably embarrass yourself some more when you feel it.
The hard slam to the back of your head knocking you out cold.

What belief do you have that isn’t logically grounded, but you still firmly believe in? Do you believe in any cryptyd? How about UFOs? Good luck charms?
Okay I’ve really been thinking hard about this and I don’t think I have any? I mean, I do think good luck charms and stuff like that has a kind of…placebo effect? It can make us feel better even though it’s not “doing” anything in an objective sense.
I *enjoy* things like astrology but I don’t BELIEVE in it beyond entertainment and confirmation bias. Is MBTI considered not-logically-grounded? Because I do think that can tell us helpful info? Although I also wouldn’t classify it as a belief or belief system.
I guess the closest, which is kind of in the gray area of not-quite-religion-but-spiritual-adjacent, is that I believe that there’s something unexplainable that connects living things? But that's also not like...an unshakable part of my worldview that would change things if I saw evidence against it.
I feel kind of boring, lol. I wish I could tell you that I believe in fairies or angels or some shit but…yeah no. I guess this is what happens when you’re raised by staunch atheists/social constructivists. I guess a positive way to look at it is that science and logic and observable phenomena are cool enough by themselves that I don't need to believe in the other stuff? That may be a reach, lol. 💖

THE PLANETS #3 MERCURY (IN THE HOUSES)
Sweet Mercury. Our baby celestial, dying to be understood. There’s more to little Mercury than meets the eye, so listen up.
If you take only one thing away from this shit, let it be this: Mercury represents an internal process - where Mercury falls points towards where you’re using your brain. Bullshit Astrology will try to convince you that Mercury shows how you communicate and how you express yourself. Yes, but also no. Don’t succumb to this basic ass understanding, people!! Mercury is deeper than this - literally. Mercury gathers up the goods and sets up shop inside your mf brain. Yes, communication and your ability to small talk stem from your thought process, but all that shit is secondary. Stick to the primary source you little history babies.
The best way to think about Mercury is to think about Venus. These two are peas in a damn pod. Why? They’re both judgemental. But. While Venus is your typical mean girl, Mercury just sticks to the fucking facts.
For example, take this given: the sky is blue. Mercury looks at the situation and says: okay, the sky is blue, the sky is not green. Venus looks at the sky and says: I love the color blue, green is fucking ugly good thing the sky isn’t green. They’re both making a judgement call, but Mercury’s call is a purely objective understanding, and Venus’s is based on a personal preference. Mercury sits in your brain and helps you differentiate between this and that; Venus sits wherever tf she sits and helps you respond emotionally to shit that you value.
Put another way: why does Mercury rule Gemini and Virgo? Judgement calls. Gemini is all about you discovering yourself. The Mercury influence there helps you differentiate between “you” and “not you” - Gemini goes out and does all these things to figure out who it even is and Mercury is behind the curtain going, “yes, you hit on something real there,” and “no, that wasn’t really you bitch, drop the act.” Same shit is happening with Virgo. Virgo is all about self-improvement - we need Mercury behind the scenes, making the “yes, this will move us forward” or “no, this will set us back” decision or else we aren’t improving shit. A Mercury judgement is objective - it takes in all the facts and makes a call. It’s not personal, it’s all business.
Mercury represents how we understand the world, mentally. Mercury is the sweet little computer in our brain that’s taking stock and running metrics and not giving a fuck because there are no feelings involved in Mercury’s process. Mercury is black and white, yes and no, this and that. No in-between. The only time Mercury goes from “right on” to “completely wrong,” is when it trades in objective analysis for personal taste. Stop. Leave the feelings to Venus. Mercury works best when it’s calm, cool and collected.
As always, particulars for the party people:
MERCURY IN THE FIRST (1) YES: these sweet freaks are unleashing the beast on their inner life - every thing that has ever happened to them getting analyzed to the point of no return; they believe they’re different than everyone else and they are gonna prove it. NO: one day decided all facts were irrelevant and took up permanent residence inside their own mind, made it their job to feel intellectually superior to everyone else.
MERCURY IN THE SECOND (2) YES: these sweet freaks are testing out every belief system and mental approach ever used to solve a problem, choosing the most effective ones, and thinking their way through every challenge they come into contact with without even breaking a sweat. NO: fucking rude, totally intolerant of everyone around them, deep-throating Traditional Thinking & Outdated Values’ dick for no reason - get over it.
MERCURY IN THE THIRD (3) YES: these sweet freaks are seeing straight though your shit, because they can find patterns in everything. When they’re not fixing every problem in their vicinity with practical solutions they’re adjusting to their environment like a damn chameleon good Lord where are they are they even still here? NO: using their mega-rationality to justify gross behavior, taking zero responsibility for their actions, denial level 10000.
MERCURY IN THE FOURTH (4) YES: these sweet freaks are getting in touch with their values, and once they do look out because they will not deviate from what they feel is Right. These deep, creative minds are hot-wired to find connections between all people, places and things. NO: too scared to figure it out, falling back on thinking that’s culturally/ socially/ religiously narrow-minded, RIP to their sense of self.
MERCURY IN THE FIFTH (5) YES: these sweet freaks are getting their fucking feelings out and everyone is loving it. Their sweet little brains are made to create and they are ready to relate, no one can express themselves like these bitches. It’s just the truth. NO: can’t just have a regular fucking experience because they’re too busy thinking about how they’re gonna sell that shit later, overly self-conscious, stop it you’re doing way too much.
MERCURY IN THE SIXTH (6) YES: these sweet freaks are a whole new kinda leader - their brains are totally focused on dealing with personal changes and social issues, crystal clear thinking let’s these babies soar through emotional shit with clarity and an organized plan. NO: True Life: Living Without A Backbone, self-sabotage level 10000, lacking the inner-strength to look at their shit objectively - get it together dammit you should be fixing the world.
MERCURY IN THE SEVENTH (7) YES: these sweet freaks just have a really strong mental approach to life, they’re lookin at all kinds of shit without getting in their feelings about it, they’re out here chatting it up, down to participate in life and always open to learning from other people’s experiences. NO: took it way too far, fucked around and isolated themselves in a sweet mind prison, one day decided different viewpoints were useless and totally lost sight of reality.
MERCURY IN THE EIGHTH (8) YES: these sweet freaks fucking love relationships (of any kind, don’t have to be human-to-human) - their brains are locked in on seeing past surface level shit and into the core of their connections, working through relationship issues is their favorite pastime. NO: one day decided you weren’t trying to cooperate with them and got fucking ruthless on your ass and/or completely lack the sense of self to apply their resolution abilities, let everything go to shit, then blamed you for it.
MERCURY IN THE NINTH (9) YES: these sweet freaks worship clear thinking and objectivity, they’re fucking ready to plan and discuss their goals, your goals - all the goals all of the plans all of the values - these bitches are going to write about them, sing about them, whatever. It’s going to be real and it’s going to be good. NO: the most closed-minded to ever live, picked the wrong hill to die on, bleeding out over some shit they don’t even understand, lost in the sauce.
MERCURY IN THE TENTH (10) YES: these sweet freaks can focus (I mean, for real, they will not be deterred) and focus they will on solving complex social problems and adjusting to meet the intellectual needs of their crew. These babies are quick as a whip and got serious intellectual versatility. NO: second-guessing every decision they’ve ever made, zero accountability for their social position, completely emotionally repressed mess.
MERCURY IN THE ELEVENTH (11) YES: these sweet freaks got intellect and they are not afraid to use it (to work through all kinds of cultural issues), on the look out for other smarties to check out all those beautiful, imaginary-but-hopefully-not-for-long horizons and ponder progressive ideals with. NO: never focused a day in their life, acting clever laughing everything off but actually dying inside and refusing to do anything about it.
MERCURY IN THE TWELFTH (12) YES: these sweet freaks are flipping the script and revamping every outdated collective ideal that crosses their mind - a healthy level of seclusion let’s these babies speculate way out into the future, so that they can formulate fresh social attitudes and actions. NO: Academy Award for Victim of Their Own Self-Created Loneliness, "what’s the use” oh my God shut up already and just try to change. Just try it.
Happy Charting, bitches. Unleash your brains.

Is there any divinatory Practice / spiritual communication that originated in Western Europe? I've heard runes Are historically originat from Roman occupation. And the use of runes Have no historical basis as a tool of divination. Don't want to steal anybody's culture but need a way to do Deviation / spiritual work with out cultural appropriation. Any ideas would be helpful and I would prefer something old as apposed to just make your own with no roots to anything.
I'm assuming this is in response to the article I shared on tarot, so here's a couple things I want to clear up,
the point of that article wasn't to say "no, you can't use tarot" nor was it a clear "yes"; the main point of the article was acknowledging that profiting off tarot, particularly when you're someone who picked it up because you thought it was cool or trendy to do so, may be unethical as it takes away from/harms a particular group of that ethnicity who has cultural ties to the practice. I also wanted to address, I think in general, that there are a lot of spiritual practices adopted by people not of that culture who put in minimal effort to really understand its background and the ancestral ties to them. I personally believe there is no place for ignorance when learning spirituality (or I should say particular practices and ancient teachings), you have to be open and welcoming to the full history to actually have a good grasp on a particular practice. Cultural appropriation isn't necessarily about "stealing" culture, as we as humans have been borrowing each other's culture since the beginning of time. It isn't cultural appropriation to eat sushi in America just because sushi is Japanese cuisine. Cultural appropriation is when people outside that culture decide when something is suddenly appropriate to be practiced meanwhile all the time leading up to that point or even thereafter, the people of that particular culture are being harmed for practicing THEIR culture. So that's the essential pain that comes from the women discussing tarot in that article, and honestly I hate bringing this up again because a lot of people got really pissed at me for sharing that article claiming I said a bunch of stuff I didn't say, but there is a reason why there's such mixed opinions coming from that community. There's a reason why huge portions of that community have completely rejected or disassociated themselves from tarot and its past and it's because of the way people outside their culture, particularly white people, harmed them and continue to harm them for practicing it (among other cultural practices, of course). It's so easy for us 21st century westernized people to look at tarot, for example, and just see it as a game. We are very comfortable in our freedom, and that's great, but remembering what got us to that point is also very important. You can use this entire framework with any spiritual practice you may delve into; just understanding its history and listening to people who have incorporated it into their culture for generations. So if you were a tarot user, read that article, and thought it was the authority to tell you to stop, it wasn't. You should continue to do spiritual practices that make you feel empowered and connected. However, if you feel absolutely compelled to stop for your own personal moral and ethical reasons, that's perfectly fine too. There's no shame at all in extending deep respect to people who you don't know personally.
If you want something really ancient and you happen to have the privilege of looking into your family tree, there were (and still are) several indigenous groups all over western Europe. You may have ancestral links to one of these groups and you can research into their cultural and spiritual practices. This may be somewhat difficult to uncover and link to yourself though, as these groups were targeted, pushed out of their land, or forcibly converted to Christianity. Runes were used long before Romans invaded Northern Europe by different tribes (though the runes we know quite well today are an evolution of those roots) so I wouldn't write off rune work. And I know you don't view runes as a form of divination, but the point of divination is to gain a deeper understanding of something (e.i you, God, the world) and one of the many ways some of these Northern and Western European groups would feel connected spiritually was through rune work (particularly carving runes into divination tools, bones, etc.) I don't specialize in runes, but I definitely recommend looking into books or people who teach rune magic (if it interests you, of course) because Wikipedia isn't going to give you good grasp on the history or proper use. Anything esoteric requires digging.
-Many cultures around the world, including parts of Western Europe, believe in fae and many people presently incorporate this belief as a part of divination (as it counts as calling upon some other being to give you knowledge, technically). You could look into fae magick.
-The Oracle of Delphi; the Pythia; priestesses of ancient Greece who would essentially get high off of volcanic fumes and do trance work. I'm not condoning drugs or altered mind states at all, but this is one example of many where cultures will use something to put themselves into an altered state to perceive the world differently. You definitely don't need drugs to do this either, breath work can put you into altered states too.
-I don't know much about this one either, but weather watching is also considered a form of divination.
-I know you want ancient over new, and technically this is ancient, but dream work/shifting. Like literally there's an entire community on Tik Tok doing that shit and probably don't realize the spiritual element to being in control of your dreams. To add onto this as well, you can develop your own symbol system (and this is what a lot of psychics do to sharpen their understanding of psychic visions). Symbol systems are literally anything from numbers to words to symbols to objects, literally anything, that represent something specific to you so that when they appear to you, you know what they symbolize. To give an example, a lot of psychics will incorporate numbers having specific meanings in their symbol systems. A number can represent a binary answer, a birth date, a month, heck even a zodiac sign. A symbol system enhances your understanding of information being presented to you; in a lot of ways its similar to tarot or astrology, but it's a system created in your mind.
-Not specifically western European, but Psalm and Angel magick/divination is considered an open practice. I recommend Ariel Gatoga on youtube for more information on this.
Finally once again, I know you prefer something ancient or old over new and created, but don't underestimate your abilities to be connected spiritually without well known tools. That umbilical cord is so strong in us as children, before even understanding or really knowing about divination tools; we let the wind hold our hand, stare deeply into the flame of candles, collect things outside and make pretend potions and spells, believe every creak in our houses are a spirit, pick petals off a flower for a "they love me, they love me not," and make wishes on shooting stars. Divination is innate; our urge to understand beyond. You don't necessarily need ancient tools, though the tools make us feel connected to everyone who gathered knowledge before us.
I hope this was helpful in anyway!

Hello Laura,
I’m 98% sure I’m accidentally going to end up rambling with this and also this may seem like a outta left field ask so... fair warning and I’m sorry in advance if it comes off as ‘huh?’ or something like that.
I’ve been out of the loop for a few days now and just logged on to see the Constellations Ask Game.
Personally, I love love LOVE comparing different methods like
horoscopes
zodiac
astrology/constellations
birth signs
cartomancy (probably one of my favs - I find this one really interesting)
tarot cards (both different and similar to cartomancy and vice versa... but, my opinion, these 2 methods are more different than they are similar)
palmistry
numerology
pendulums
spirit animals
and other fortune/horoscope telling methods/tools from all over the world through history. Practices like these and others alike that are scattered through history can seem small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things with everything that’s happened throughout the centuries...
but things like this, knowing the symbolism of something can give you a better insight of understanding different religions, mythologies, demonology, art, cinema, literature, etc. etc. because at the end of the day, when there isn’t much to go on, how symbolism is interpreted by someone and then used in whatever belief or work; based off of said interpretation can lead you to draw allegories between works, beliefs, or societies you probably would’ve never thought could’ve gotten something from one another; regardless if it was conscientiously or not - symbolism can open the doors to questions like
Why did this culture choose this to represent that?
Were they an isolated society that made it up on their own or could they have learned it from someone/somewhere else?
What was the interpretation then and the connection to how it is viewed today?
What allegorical conclusions can be drawn between this method ‘originated’ at point a and that method ‘originated’ at point b - if these two cultures are on opposite sides of the world and had to foreseeable means of communication with each other?
Etc. Etc.
& That’s one of my favorite aspects about Black Clover other than the story itself and the captain/magic-knight eye candy: Tabata’s use of symbolism and mythology is a talent in of itself; the way he dissects the tiniest context of something from various European mythologies and then uses it to his full advantage to hide in the crevices of a character, continually builds upon each reference and said reference(s) will start to reveal itself(themselves) as the character(a) develops throughout the progression of the story... sorry that was a bit of a tangent - but Tabata’s use of these things throughout Black Clover is so ingenious he deserves recognition and praise for that aspect of his storytelling...
I’m rambling aren’t I? (i warned you at the beginning this wasn’t going to be a conventional ask, sorry if I keep getting off topic) SO THE POINT OF THIS ASK — THE CONSTELLATIONS ASK GAME – I already knew there was a whole plethora of constellations named after figures in Greek mythology... however I was only briefly aware of a handful of Greek Mythology constellations that were used in astrology personality/horoscope predictions like our typical western Aries/Taurus/Gemini/Cancer/Leo(plod)/Virgo/Libra/Scorpius/Sagittarius/Capricornus/Aquarius/Pisces.
Dang it! I was rambling again wasn’t I? Stop rambling me! MY POINT IS: this ask game is one of the first times I’ve seen this many Greek Mythology constellations used that are apparently also used similarly to western zodiac astrology/horoscopes...
SO Laura, I was just wondering if you could please tell me if you knew the name or branch where these constellations stem from - in terms of fortune telling and birth signs? or just any knowledge basically you have in general related to the following?
Andromeda
Cassiopeia
Corvus
Draco
Hydra
Lyra
Persei
Pyxis
(tbh, going down the list, with all the Greek mythology references I almost asked about Taurus too because I read it as ‘Tartarus’ 😅)
Ursa Major
Ursa Minor
Apus
Aquila
Caelum
Canis Major
Crux
Indus
Lupus
Musca
Orion
Pavo
Phoenix
Puppis
Laura, if this is all too odd of an ask I completely understand... and again I apologize for how overboard I can get with my rambling... I just get very passionate and excited so when you’re trying to type it all down vs. talking to someone face to face where it’s easier to read social cues... it’s more difficult remembering when to cut off the sentence and shut up... like now🤭
Always, always, always enjoy your blog Laura! Regardless if this gets answered or not - I hope you have a lovely rest of your day!
Hiya anon~! ^_^
No worries, no worries, we all can ramble when we get exited!
But let me, let me try to get a hold of this first 😅
Okay, so:
I am not that well versed in mythology, but I do have a kind of fondness for it.
Andromeda & Cassiopeia: I believe that she was a princess in Greek mythology, the daughter of Cassiopeia. And the story goes that Cassiopeia boasted about being the most beautiful, which angers Poseidon. And Poseidon then sends a kind of sea monster (or a dragon) to torment the nation. Andromeda is to be sacrificed for the beast in an effort to calm it, but she gets saved Perseus (who later marries her and makes her his queen). And "Andromeda" apparently means "Ruler of men".
I don't know if the name "Cassiopeia" means anything, but it seems to be connected to beauty.
Corvus: It's a constellation that was known as "Raven" in some point, and was apparently one of the constellations that marked the Gates of the Underworld. So, an omen of death.
Hydra: Hydra was also another constellation to mark the Gate to the Underworld, and a general symbol/omen for death. Of course, there's the Hydra that Heracles defeated as his 12 heroic acts.
Draco: I might be mistaken, but I believe that Draco might be another name for Hyra. (If anyone knows better, please do correct me)
Persei: Is a triple star system, that I suspect is referring to Perseus. (Or named after Perseus)
Pyxis: I have no clue.
Okay, I'll... I'll answer on the longer list of constellations a bit later (because I need to wrap my brain around it). But I thought that I'd give a little something already now so that I don't keep you hanging 😅
And in the meantime, I do hope that you have a great day as well! ^_^

survey by lilprincess
Approx. Time you began this survey: 6:46 on a Wednesday evening.
Describe your mood right now: Erm, a bit exhausted because I just ended a work shift; but content for the same reason. Right now I’m simply looking forward to dinner and crashing on the couch or my bed, wherever I feel like sleeping tonight.
Spell your first name without vowels: Rbn. Let’s just also remove y for this one.
Age you will be on your next birthday: 23.
Zodiac Sign: Taurus.
Do you believe what your horoscope says about your sign? I do not believe in astrology whatsoever.
What state/region do you live in? Somewhere in the Philippines somewhere close to Metro Manila.
Height: Like 5′1″ ish. I had a massive growth spurt in 4th grade that also ended in 4th grade, which will always be a funny story to tell people lmao. I went from being placed at the back of the class line to the front really quickly.
Do you smoke? Super occasionally. My last cigarette was like...all the way back in February last year. It was easier to hide the smell around my family before, but because my parents and siblings have mostly been staying at home in the last year it would be so easy to weed out the smell. I never feel like smoking anyway since I vape, so there’s been no reason to seek it out.
Do you drink? Yeah, sometimes socially and sometimes on my own if I wanna unwind and feel a lil buzz come through.
What's your ethnic background? Southeast Asian, specifically Filipino.
What's your religious background? Technically my ~background~ would be Catholic since I was born and baptized in that faith, but I’ve long let go of this. Excluding one very brief period in high school, religion was something I never held much belief and faith in, even if I've been taken to literally every Sunday mass for the last 23 years and even if I was enrolled in Catholic school from preschool to high school.
What's your natural hair color? Black.
What;s your natural eye color? Dark brown, almost black.
Do you have any bad habits you want to break? I do overtime work a lot but used to seldom file it on our company shift log sheet because I get shy that they must think I’m doing it just to be paid more, lol. I’m starting to file them every time I do OT though because fuck it, pay me.
Name a few of your positive habits. I like that I always find a way to meet deadlines. I like that I’m selfless, even though some would see it as a flaw. I’d rather do too much than say I never did anything at all.
Have you ever lived in a foreign country? No, the most I’ve done was travel to one for a week.
Did you vote in the Nov. 6 2012 presidential election? No because I am not American -___- The last election that took place before I was eligible was in 2010, and had I been able to vote then, I would’ve given mine to Gibo Teodoro, who I believe was the most qualified at the time.
Are you even eligible to vote? Yeah, I’ve been for the last 5 years. I’ve voted twice - once for the presidential elections back in 2016, and the next was for the senatorial elections in 2019.
Are you right handed or left handed? Right-handed.
When you write, is your penmanship usually neat or do you tend to scribble? It starts off neat for the most part, but it gradually gets messy and becomes more like a scribble if we’re talking about writing several essays in one sitting, which was usually the case in my exams in college.
Have you ever experienced an accident? (of any type): Sure, I’ve been in car accidents before. I’ve also been shocked once.
Do you have/want children? They would be nice to have, yeah.
Are you environmentally conscious? For the most part, yeah. But there are some things that can’t be helped, like me driving. Unless the government does something about the shitty public transport system that we have and have had for decades, I refuse to take it.
What's your favorite mode of transportation? Like I said, my own car. If I’m traveling, by plane.
Do you prefer 80's - 90's music compared to today's music? Eh, not at all. I prefer music produced these days.
Are you more of an introvert (quiet/shy), or extrovert (social butterfly)? I’ve been more of an extrovert in the last few years but I will always be shy at first upon meeting new people, like that will never change. I warm up a lot quickly now, though.
What's your favorite emoticon? :)
Do you miss the good old days of hand-written letters? I caught the super super super last part of this era, so I didn’t even get to experience it. I know snail mail was still kind of a thing when I was a kid, but at the same time that was happening my mom was also already using email to keep in touch with my dad, so.
Nowadays, though, when I do write letters to loved ones, I will still prefer to make handwritten ones, especially for a significant other or best friend. I don’t think I’ve ever sent out a computerized long letter.
Do you enjoy receiving or giving more? Giving, but it’s nice to be treated too sometimes.
Are you good at keeping secrets? Sure.
Do you take or give advice more often? I don’t usually get into situations wherein I’d have to do either, but I think I’ve been asking for advice more, especially over the last few months.
Do you have your driver's license? “I got my driver’s license last week, just like we always talked about...” Haha this question made me sing a bit. Anyway, yeah, I got it shortly after I turned 18 since I needed to quickly learn before college started.
Would you rather be poor & happy or rich but miserable? Rich but miserable. Soz but I’d solve 4854983594857 of my problems if I never had to worry about money.
Have you ever had a pregnancy scare? Never.
Have you ever blocked someone on Facebook? Probably not blocked, but I’ve unfollowed some current Facebook friends and unfriended others entirely.
Do you think recreational marijuana should be nationally legalized? Idk much about the topic since it’s taboo enough where I live, but sure, I guess?I haven’t heard one bad word about the effects of marijuana.
Describe your perfect first date. I’ve never really had a first date, but I imagine an ideal one would be pretty lowkey, just a stroll around a nice city and maybe have fancyish dinner somewhere.
Have you ever been high? Nope.
Have you ever watched a NC-17 rated film? Sure. A good handful of Kubrick films pass for NC-17, right? I’d be surprised if they weren’t, lol. I’ve been scarred by some of them for sure.
If you ever become reincarnated as an animal, what would you want it to be? A dog.
Do you remember where you were/what you were doing on September 11, 2001? No; I was 2 years old. I did ask my parents where they were in those moments, and my mom understandably missed most of it since the entire thing unfolded in the late evening in the Philippines. The only thing she can recall was being insanely worried for my dad, who had just started to work in the US back then.
Do you ever wish you were of a different nationality/religion? Yeah, to a certain extent, just because the political and socioeconomic situation here is very messy and it doesn’t really give us the nicest reputation in front of the world. I’m proud of my Filipino culture and heritage though.
Are you more of a junk food addict or health nut? Health nut is the last thing anyone should be calling me. But I’m not so much a junk food addict either? I do like spoiling myself with food, but I still monitor my intake.
Do you believe Antarctica should be considered the 7th world continent? Isn’t it already though?? We’ve always been taught there were 7 continents and Antarctica is one of them lol.
Describe your own sense of humor in 1 word: Gen-Z, if that counts as one word.
Have you ever quoted the Bible (or any other Holy Book)? If I ever did it was probably meant to be sarcasm.
Have you ever completed a Sudoku puzzle? No. Never figured out how to play it either.
Would you rather be a nuclear physicist or marine biologist? Marine biologist. That’s one step closer to one of my loves, biology. Plus I was never any good with physics, so.
Do you have a deep, dark secret you're hiding from every one? I guess.
Would you rather be able to soar like an eagle or swim like a dolphin? I’d make my childhood self happy and go with flight.
If you wanted to learn a foreign language, what would it be? Korean so I can finally stop reading subs, hahah.
Are you bi-curious? No.
Did you watch the Disney Channel or Nickelodeon more as a kid? The Nickelodeon cartoons were far more interesting to me. I think I only got into Disney when I got a little bit older, once I was able to appreciate the more mature content in shows like The Suite Life, That’s So Raven, etc. But for the most part our TV was always tuned into Nick Jr., Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron and the other Nick shows.
Name 5 films that were made the year you were born: American History X (great watch), The Truman Show, Mulan, La Vita e Bella if I’m not mistaken (one of my faves, no matter how gut-wrenching it is), and Shakespeare in Love.
Did you have a lot of friends in high school? Yes, eventually I did.
Do you rely more on the newspaper, Internet or TV as your news source? Social media these days since I find that online writers are far more discerning in their reporting than TV anchors, who stay neutral at best.
True or false: Bigger is better. Very vaguely put, but not always, I guess.
Do you think religion is the primary cause of war? No? There’ve been plenty other reasons for war.
What's your favorite pizza topping? ...Cheese.
Think of your wardrobe. What color do you wear the most? It’s still black, I think.
Have you ever been to a planetarium? Just once, on a middle school field trip. I’d love to come back, though.
Do you feel like you connect more with animals or other people? I don’t get to be with animals a lot other than my dogs, so I’ll go with people.
Do you feel like sometimes you have to lie in order to protect yourself? Wow so dramatically put haha but yeah, I suppose it does feel that way sometimes.
How often do you exercise? Literally never. I’ve stopped working out this year since I didn’t see the point, and I’ve stopped feeling like I had to ‘get back’ at my ex just by getting a more toned figure. I’m totally at peace with how my body looks, plus I never want to give up on my favorite foods and snacks lol so there’s that.
Can you swear in a different language? Putangina mong bobo kang gago ka. That’s three for ya.
Do you think teachers/doctors deserve to get paid more than pro athletes? Everyone deserves to be paid fairly to the point that no comparison should be necessary, period.
From a scale of 1- 5, you would rate this survey: Erm, a 4.5. I had to delete some questions I didn’t feel comfortable answering or that I found a little meh, but the rest I fairly enjoyed.
Do you think most of these questions were more original or more ordinary? It’s a bit in between.
Approx. time you completed this survey: Hahahahah 10:38 PM. I took a million breaks.

Mars Signs♂️:
*in astrology your Mars sign is similar to Venus except it’s more masculine and it represents what drives you, makes you angry, turns you on, what you’re passionate about, sexuality, lust, etc.*
Aries // Since Aries is ruled by Mars and Aries is usually a sign that represents leadership, I feel that if you have an Aries mars you’re more likely to be in charge of situations-even if you have a passive sun/moon sign. You can get frustrated easily but it goes as quick as it happens, and if you hold a grudge it’s bound to not last too long. You hate dealing with the same situation over and over again and ideally you’d want a partner who can keep you balanced and make you feel at peace. You appreciate confidence and someone whose versatile in the bedroom. In a sexual partner you seek someone who understands how to meet your needs and truly appreciate you and your body. Also, head rubs are a must for you✨
Taurus // If you have a Taurus mars, you generally have a difficult time stating how you feel without it coming off the wrong way. You don’t like being mad or upset, you want to be positive and be around fun, optimistic people. But all in all, you are a good listener and whether you realize it or not a lot of people in your life rely on you to be their listener. You can be a very comforting friend and or partner. In a sexual partner you’d like someone that’s patient but open minded. You want someone who you can be yourself with and someone who’ll be your stress relief. Someone who’ll let you sleep in their arms for hours, and give you neck kisses whenever. Also, in a partner you want someone you can have fun with whilst doing nothing. You feel at your best probably when you’re around all your friends or when you’re outside. Being ignored or left out is probably you’re biggest pet peeve✨
Gemini // If you have a Gemini mars you probably have a very complex emotional system. And it’s hard for you to comfortably talk about that with just anyone. You especially hate talking to people that are close minded and negative. You probably do things to keep yourself from thinking too much and tend to joke about your own misfortunes. But you can be great to talk to, especially when someone needs a good laugh. I mean it makes sense because communication is KEY for a good relationship with you. In friendships, love, & sex-talking will always win you over. You ideally want a partner that’s not afraid to tell you how much they desire you and want you. Sexually, a person who likes “taboo” things will work well with you. Hands and arms are probably something you’re attracted too✨
Cancer // Having a Cancer mars can make you very defensive without you even realizing it. You hate being judged and called out for no reason. Talking/venting to your friends is probably your go-to to get rid of stress, but you sometimes trust the wrong people-you need friends that will support you and give you healthy advice! When you’re not mad or upset, you have a very fun and outgoing personality. You love helping people and making people laugh and you’d want a partner who isn’t afraid to be themselves around you. You want a partner that’s committed all the way and affectionate but will also give you you’re privacy and alone time. When it comes to sex you want someone to have fun and unwind with. Since the chest is Cancers body part, you probably enjoy laying on your partner’s chest or vice versa✨
Leo // Mars in Leo can make you someone who’s not afraid to state what they think but can also get mad when no one agrees with them (not always, some Leo’s are very open minded!). Which is fine because you usually get over things quickly and move on to something more interesting. You’re a very loving and passionate person though and it’s hard for you to be negative. Leo placements usually have a big impact on the people in their life, even if you’re introverted you exude confidence. And the natural glow you have makes it hard for people to not be attracted to you! You can also be very dominant and territorial with your partners, you need someone who can match your energy inside and outside of the bedroom. It may not be something you admit often, but you do enjoy attention and being pampered, it’s okay though because you always reciprocate. Leo placements ALWAYS aim to please who they’re with. You probably especially like back rubs/light back scratches✨
Virgo // Having mars in Virgo makes you someone who knows what they want, no matter if it’s sex, life, etc.-you always have a plan. People are easily attracted to you, you’re always the person that smells good and dresses good. You take your time when it comes to sex and you expect your partner to be able to keep at your pace. Having Virgo in an important placement like this can make you someone who’s very intellectual and will often study someone before caring about them. When something pisses you off, you usually go out and do things to take your mind off of it-you prefer to be by yourself if you’re upset. But you do like to rant if someone will listen. But Virgo placements usually hold a lot of emotions in, sex is probably where you unleash all of that. You feel most vulnerable yet comfortable when people hold or caress you✨
Libra // People with Libra mars are big on giving as much as they get in sex-they always make sure their partners needs are met though. Libra is probably the most charming of the mars signs, with or without realizing it they have a very attractive energy. They’re natural flirts and are the best at giving compliments. There’s this big stereotype that Libras hate conflict, they’re balanced, etc. But don’t get it twisted, Libra placements can get in their feels very easily they just hate showing it. They like giving the illusion that they don’t care. But they care a lot and can be VERY protective over close friends. Honestly a Libra mars would fight for you, however, you guys can be very outgoing and fun to talk to. You all are easy to like and you probably get crushes really easily. Back rubs are your weakness and you’re more likely to be attracted to people who are clean and well dressed, not saying that you’re shallow✨
Scorpio // People with mars in Scorpio are intimacy fiends, and I’m not talking about just sex, when it comes to relationships for Scorpios they want to be as close as possible to you. Sex is a spiritual thing for you guys and as obvious as it sounds you’re erogenous zone is the sex organs! It’s easy for you to bring emotions into sex because you carry a lot of them. If someone can make you mad enough you could cry. You’re very passionate about your beliefs and views and you’re not afraid to argue with someone about it. This doesn’t mean that you’re just an anger ball waiting for someone to trigger you, generally Scorpios can be calm and will listen to both sides. But at the end of the day you’re always gonna back up what you believe. You guys can be very defensive over your friends and family and especially your partners. Scorpio placements love deeply and they hate seeing people they care about being mistreated✨
Sagittarius // Sag mars people can be very open minded and fun people, but at the end of the day they have to be right. They’re smart and they know it and if they know they’re right in an argument, they’ll keep going. I’d say generally it’s hard to make a Sagittarius placement mad, they seem to be easy going. But things like being disrespectful or inconsiderate can really piss them off. You guys have big, bold personalities which usually transfers to the bedroom. You know how to match the energy of the person you’re with and how to meet all their needs. In a sexual partner you’d prefer someone who likes things somewhat taboo or adventurous-someone who’s down for anything. You’re erogenous zone is the hips and thighs, so when you’re partner touches you there it doesn’t take much for things to escalate afterwards✨
Capricorn // People with Cap mars can make for very good listeners and partners. They like to study the person they’re with and will be patient enough to find out what they like, so this could be the best mars pairing for someone who’s shy in the bedroom. Not always though, because it may not seem like it but Capricorn placements know how to adapt to different things. They might not always like it but they can do it, and they’re very comfortable with their sexuality. So no matter if you’re loud or shy, freaky or vanilla, a Cap mars will please your needs. They can be very giving people but expect just as much in return. People with this mars sign hate being belittled or untrusted. They know how powerful they are and people doubting them can really make them mad. But generally, it’s difficult to anger them quickly. Caps erogenous zone are the knees and the skin in general. So touching/fingertips tracing is a big turn on for you guys✨
Aquarius // Aquarius mars are very low key about their sexual relationships because a lot of the time they prefer hook ups. They don’t like making a big deal out of it unless it’s with someone they’re serious about. Aquarius placements can be very in tune with their sexuality and what they like, and they love finding out what makes their partner tick. Talking about sex is a turn on for them because they like to know what they’re getting into. People with Aquarius mars aren’t very open about their emotions even with people they care deeply about. They don’t like feeling vulnerable and having people that may not be in their life for a long time know personal stuff. Betraying trust is something that can really hurt someone with this mars sign, along with taking advantage of their kindness. Aquarius’ body part are the calves and ankles, legs are something you guys pay attention to✨
Pisces // Pisces mars are “people pleasers,” and by that I mean they do everything they can to make sure the person they’re with is satisfied and happy. Most times they don’t expect much in return they just love being praised but also dominated, usually. Also, most Pisces placements use things like sex to “escape.” Even though sex can be a very emotional thing for someone like you, it’s also common for you to turn to hook ups more than actual relationships. You hate feeling tied down but you can definitely be faithful. You’re someone who carries a lot of their emotions inside and hates bothering people with you’re problems. But at the end of the day all you want is a partner who will listen to you and support you. It’s very easy for you to fall into obsessive, bad habits. But when it comes down to the people/things you love, you’ll change. Pisces erogenous zone are the feet, so foot messages can be a turn on for you guys. But if you hate that idea just a nice back massage will do the trick for you✨

Astrological Compatibility
After experiencing all that I have this year, I definitely believe that astrology does play a role in compatibility, in the sense that astrology is a pseudoscience based around how time of birth, planetary cycles, and place of birth affect personality. It was developed by human beings at a time when scientific methods of interpreting data were not developed to where they are today.
If we take a look at how this might play out from a more scientific perspective, think of the “nature vs. nurture” argument. Nature applies to traits that develop either from genetics or during fetal developmental. Nurture applies to external social and developmental factors that contribute to personality after birth.
There does seem to be a correlation between what season and month people were born in and certain personality traits. It is definitely true that levels of sunlight can have a huge impact on human health and development, but light exposure and seasons can be vastly different across the globe (especially in moving closer and farther away from the equator), which is probably why detailed astrological charts involve looking at birthplace.
It also provides perspective on why there are differences between the Western and Chinese Zodiacs but there are still some similarities in the way traits are applied. For example, in the Western Zodiac we have “Earth, Air, Fire, and Water” and in the Chinese Zodiac we have “Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water” because human beings across cultures understand how valuable these elements were to our survival.
Human beings are pattern-seeking creatures, so it isn’t any surprise that they personified these elements and began correlating them to aspects of human personality. It was just another way of trying to make sense of the world, and I am not surprised that when astrologers examined the natural world and the cosmos (as better astronomical tools became available) they began to make connections between children born in certain seasons and certain personality traits, and I don’t believe the correlation is completely nonexistent.
The issue we see is that some people tend to think that personality is a fixed thing, and that when someone is born a certain way [nature] their traits are entirely resistant to change [underemphasizing nurture].
Even if astrology can offer us some predictors about how a person’s character might develop, we have to remember that personality has nothing to do with whether someone is a “good” or “bad” person. Some people may be more or less outgoing than others, more or less athletic, more or less organized, more or less playful, and more or less “nice” than other people, but that has nothing to do with their morality or ability to be a good romantic partner, friend, sibling, or parent.
The strength of a relationship is almost entirely dependent on the values of the parties involved.
Whether “star-crossed” or “star-aligned”, the strength of peoples’ relationships is entirely dependent on whether or not they are based on honesty, mutual respect, and compassion. We all know that some people we love have habits that may occasionally-- or frequently-- grate on our nerves, but our choice on whether to continue living with and loving that person is rarely just down to personality.
We all have that person in our lives with a grinchy, McScrooge disposition, but we love them because they keep their word and you know deep down that they’ve got a good heart even if they don’t always show affection as easily as other people do.
We also all know someone that is the life of the party, loud, fun, almost obnoxious in their zest for life, but we wouldn’t trust them as far as we could throw them when it comes to any major responsibility. But we still love them anyway.
And with have to admit to ourselves, that sometimes love is not enough.
Love is never an excuse to allow someone to run roughshod over your boundaries, devalue your ideas, and monopolize your time. Love alone will not save any relationship where either party lacks respect, trust, and compassion.
After ending many relationships this year (including one that I held in very high value) I found out that it isn’t about personality. “Ugh, she’s such a Virgo!” is not a mature answer for why you can’t get along with your best friend, boss, or mother.
I know that Kati Morton used to say “some relationships are bad recipes” and I don’t really believe that anymore. I don’t really believe that people share mutual blame like that for why things fall apart. It’s fine to admit that someone annoys you or gets on your nerves, but when there is that much bad blood with someone you used to be associated with, I think that boundary violations-- either on your part or theirs-- are to blame.
I used to lean towards a belief in “star matches” but now I truly believe there are no incompatible signs.
I know that I tend to lack romantic chemistry with most of my fellow Air nomads, but I always have amazing conversations and a kind of instant connection. I know that from experience, Water signs are amazing listeners. I know that I tend to have a shared drive with so many Earth signs, and that Fire signs have a unique capability to humor and delight.
Fire signs can also burn your whole life down if you let them. Water signs can be secretive and vindictive. Earth signs can be so stubborn that they won’t admit a single flaw. Air signs can be unreliable and aloof.
But guess what? So can everyone, because we all have aspects of each element inside of us. Leaning a certain way does not make us more or less bad or good. It just makes us human.
As I reflect on my experiences this year, I am far more interested in how systems of meaning develop, than the systems themselves. Astrology, just like religion, was developed by humans who desperately wanted to provide an explanation for the mysterious workings of the cosmos, our planet, and the human heart. I think whether or not astrology is “real” is far less important than the history and traditions associated with it.
Each of the signs in the Western Zodiac has a unique mythological creature and story attached to it. It was only this year that I found out that Capricorn is represented by a half-goat, half-fish creature (essentially a mergoat), and I learned that my sign (Libra) was only introduced into the zodiac later, because there was too much intensity going on between The Virgin (Virgo) and Scorpio (the Scorpion, duh) and Libra was brought in to balance things out. That is the reason why Librans are the only members of the zodiac family to not be represented by a living creature.
I also found out that this might’ve been part of it because human beings have been liking the number 12 for a good minute, so we had to even out that odd 11 sooner or later. In my numerological deep dive I also found out that Romans were freaked out by the number 17, because it was written “XVII” and that, along with the fact that it was a weird prime number, really upset their sense of symmetry. In general it seems humans are not fond of numbers that cannot be divided by anything other than 1 and itself. So 9 is in, but 13 is out, and its probably more this, rather than the fact that we don’t want a snake sign in the Zodiac, that so many astrologers soundly refuse to recognize Ophiuchus. Obviously we make an exception for 0 (both a number and not a number) and also 1 and 2.
I “wiki-walked” more and found out that a number of prominent musicians have superstitions regarding numbers, probably because our profession is way more about keeping time and counting than most people realize.
Also, it’s been fascinating to find out about “the ages” which require incredible math to calculate. We are apparently just beginning the “Age of Aquarius” and a lot of changes that were predicted using past data seem to be “coming to pass.”
Full disclosure: you can’t use astrology to predict the future of the planet anymore than you can the future of your relationship.
I use astrology to help me understand the past, but I do not trust the validity of horoscopes because it is impossible to know the future. I have developed a saying “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it echoes.” Economists, political analysists, climate scientists, and other experts in their field do not make their predictions based on “hunches” or mysterious esoteric knowledge, they make their predictions based on interpretation of data, and even if these predictions can be incredibly accurate, they are not completely infallible.
In other words, you aren’t going to experience relationship troubles during “Mercury in retrograde” unless you expect and believe you will, or some other unrelated event causes it. The only difference then is that because you were hypervigilant, you shifted your own behavior in a way that exacerbated the issues, i.e. “a self-fulfilling prophecy.”
If your marriage or friendship is failing, “astrological differences” likely aren’t the main culprit. Similarly, you should never dismiss your intuition that something is wrong just because your horoscope said, “You will find true love in December” and that is when you found it. That’s called a coincidence, and they’re everywhere. Trust yourself and trust your instincts. Your own personal patterns matters much more than what a stranger or an algorithm has predicted about you. Don’t try to “follow the signs”, test things out and see if things you find in your chart actually line up with what you’ve been experiencing.
I really do believe in some kind of carnal divinity, a common life-energy that is connecting all living beings to one another. Don’t let your natural light and vitality be dimmed by people who enjoy burying their own light under a bushel. It isn’t a matter of “good” and “evil” in so many cases, but it really is about what kind of life each person wants and/or is willing to tolerate.
That beings said, welcome to Sagittarius season! I hope you all find your inner flame archer and ride on your metaphorical horse legs right into your destiny.

When are you gonna finish the seventeen series? 😩
I love them too ;v; I have 3 more to do right?? ❤️💕 I’ll probably try to finish them around their birthday, as a bday contribution maybe? ❤️💕
But here’s some updates: I’m still waiting for an actual source, but anon dropped by and said someone at a fansign might’ve asked hoshi about his birthtime. He allegedly said it may be around 7-9am, so i’ve looked up the charts for 7,8 and 9am for personal interests
(Again, this is alleged, it’ll be irresponsible of me on a public platform to give too much credibility when it’s unsourced and I don’t have any solid proof, plus I can’t hold any of the informant accountable on whether the information is reliable or just misinformation. So please, as a fan of the group with an interest in astrology, take it with a grain of salt and with advised self-discretion!)
Tumblr media
[i’ll add a readmore if you’re interest in the 7-9am unsourced time mini add-on ⬇️]
🚫long post, longer than expected ;; 🚫⚠️Please read the part at the end!!⚠️
9am is leo at 11′ !!
Third reminder, again, this remains unsourced and I’m reluctant to put too much weight on it? But i thought it would be interesting because the main part I want to share is that if he was born anytime during 7-8am – he would have a cancer asc ;; Again, we don’t know this in certain terms, with rating guidance on how accurate it is - because even people’s memories can get things like their birthtime mixed up. Whether they are early morning born or late night, sometimes it gets confusing for people too! And also, this is unsourced. So please!! Take with a grain of salt!!
This is what anon said by the way, which is as of right now - my only material I’m going off of so far (sorry for sounding so suspicious anon, I sincerely don’t mean it that way ;;) :
Tumblr media
It’s on my page, here’s the link to the ask sent.
Now, onwards !
Tumblr media
The 7am one has sun/venus in 12th (hopeless romantic, self-limitations, conditions lives are born into, seclusions, self-deception/destructiveness etc.) but moon/mercury/mars in 11th also implies plenty of gifts and abilities, takes time to manifest his dreams/goals/long-term achievements. Versatile style, lots of things to show in terms of activities/what the self can do, personal values as well.
I’d interpret this as having expectations, dreams, goals. The moon, mercury and mars is where their confidence lies - within their ability proven to manifest and earn them something. However, there’s also an area (sun, venus) where expectations are not met due to limitations or personal weakness. It may cause confusion, because on one hand they can achieve a lot of things - on the other hand, they don’t understand why they can’t achieve ‘anything’ or a lot of things they want.
Self-fulfillment for 12th house native can be hard, especially if we’re going to be using whole-signs house system, then the Gemini placements would all fall neatly into the 12th - and that creates a character that deals with the internal self, struggles with that and learning how to grow/help out of it as well.
Sometimes it’s a re-occuring pattern of seclusion and isolation that we don’t realize we do until we’re in a situation where we have to deal with said problem head on, especially when something bad happens. Imprinted and they have to re-process how to work out of it and break certain habits.
Remember that the 6th and 12th are usually ailments, but the 6th house is usually seen (i.e. over-working, fatigue, physical) whilst the 12th being right by the ascendant - if we’re going to explain it in relation to the ruler - makes natives blind to these ailments sometimes or take it as their natural ‘condition’.
Moodiness may be common especially because gemini is ruling said house, with a lot of strong energetic planets (personal) and the native may soundboard after they resolve their issues to others in order to grow from it/out of it without anyone else realizing they have these thoughts/problems in the first place (i.e. taking people by surprise when the time comes, because they may seclude these parts of themselves in order to work it out, before talking/admitting it to anyone else afterwards as a form of self-protection)
Tumblr media
One good thing to look at this is that the 12th house gemini native may be able to solve other people’s problem alot of the time, especially those who may have problems articulating what it is they’re bothered by or communicating it to others. The gemini 12th house native are spectacularly great at communicating/connecting the self with others (the self being the other person’s selves) to help sooth this and bring it to light. If given the opportunity like he does, in a group, business and personal setting like this (trainee years up to having an actual career tends to build personal bonds with people you surround yourself with).
However, for the native themselves, they may take time to get to this point where they don’t feel uncomfortable ‘exposing’ parts of themselves too much as well.
Aries saturn in 9th (8am) or 10th house (7am) with an aries mc - a doer, capabilities are great, evokes confidence in others by being themselves. Requires praising and fighting for/reciprocation sometimes. Self-improvements. Doing better and better, self-motivated.
Overcoming adversaries usually, especially through praises, giving and receiving, reactions and responses helps (aries mc, gemini mars in 11th or 12th house depending on house system, usually we’d consider traditional house rulership so whole sign is usually 12th).
Coming from within to outwards in terms of conviction and believing in something. Not really blind faith, but a belief in the fundamentals/logic of said person and of the circumstances itself (sometimes, it’s trustworthiness, credibility and loyalty - Capricorn Jupiter, 7th)
Tumblr media
Mercurial (gemini stellium) - so always/constantly learning and figuring out their style/tastes, having strong ‘knows’ of what they like/excel in and what they’re drained/completely suck at. Can come across as comical, but because of that cancer asc (gemini moon, gemini mercury) can also be sensitive to criticism, especially social/public recognition (if it’ll affect them publicly) as well.
Sagittarius ruling 6th with a Sag pluto - watch for ailments and physical injuries due to wanting to do too much, too soon, especially overseas and thus, over-exerting self to get it done without prior set-up/regulations regarding it. This is opposition Gemini mercury in 11th - so whilst the person can talk the talk, make sure they don’t push themselves/force themselves to walk the walk when they can’t do it. Small bad habits like constantly changing styles, ideas, talks, etc. can come back and bite their Gemini Mercury/11th in the ass if they aren’t careful with doing things out of impulse or unnecessary needs (aka certain thoughts/thinking they think are right but haven’t learnt why it’s wrong yet)
Tumblr media
I want to mention the 11th house because if we’re using placidus house system - his gemini placements for the 8am one would mostly fall here (instead of the 12th house, which if we’re using whole signs for the 8am his gemini would also fall neatly in the 12th - I thought it’ll be interesting to include both sets, 12th as talked about earlier and the 11th here now)
Depending on the house you use, the 12th house has a completely different context than the 11th as you can see! But the thing here is that - even though we wish for the idol to be in good and to always be happy - if he does have placements (using placidus) that falls into 11th house - the 12th house is ruled by gemini (he has no interception) and thus, his domicile gemini mercury in 11th would still be there again.
This may imply that he does think - if possibly, talk about the issues in the 12th. There’s a difference between having planets in said house, and having the planetary ruler of said house in a lucky house. In this case, it’s good if he has planets in 11th - because that’s usually bringing out the dark into light, the challenges into overcoming them, the hardship into praises and good fortune.
Tumblr media
Did you know the 11th house can symbolize gifts and trust? Friends/allies, social recognition, triumph against hardship/adversaries. Doesn’t mean there isn’t any - just means they can overcome them and bring good light/recognition from their actions/praises socially.
Natives with 11th house stellium can sometimes feel like they don’t have much luck/what the archetype describes - that’s also because the 11th house stel natives may need to think about the overall condition and the longevity of their hopes/dreams, goals and desire. How much work they put into the world is as much as they get back.
It’s an exchange, so we might want to think of this as a fairness, of equal exchange and of putting in the work to give and thus to receive back. They can be a dumbass sometimes, especially when it’s supposedly the ‘teacher’ but even the teacher has to be taught.
His gemini placements (mercury and mars) are opposition to sag pluto at near exact degrees. The native may be consistently changing or evaluating things and redeeming themselves, as both as mutable in opposition - the native may remain humble as the student (gemini personal placements) being taught their place by the changes that comes with new ideas taught to them by circumstances/others (sagittarius pluto as the teacher, capricorn jupiter as the authority training/teaching them - aries saturn, maybe a problem with ‘selfishness’ or not taking advice sometimes, knowing what’s best for themselves, setting out to do projects/things and are capable of being very independent and hot-heated sometimes - but also alot of personal luck with that capricorn jupiter and cancer asc - stubbornness, but also kindness to others if that capricorn jupiter falls into the 7th - more like, strict kindness but very deep-rooted and stable, trusting and secure, for the ‘better’.)
Tumblr media
One thing we haven’t talked much about yet, but would be nice to touch on is the signification of his Capricorn Jupiter?
If we use whole signs it would fall into his 7th - having a Jupiter in 7th implies a person who’s usually willing to learn more about others, expand their vision and also guide others when they need it (become a pillar of support, security for others due to attachment/trust in their companionship - capricorn in jupiter).
The team defining (who they are with other people, i.e. sub-units, pairings, etc.) is a part of their identity. I know we talk about the 1st house being personal identity, but self-identity and self-expansion is also important and invigorating to a person’s growth. Soonyoung having his Capricorn Jupiter (possibly) being is significant, here because this talks about how genuine his affection and enthuist about other people are.
It’s sincere, and it’s from a genuine place of learning and receiving from others. He watches out for others (Capricorn, Saturnian, guardianship) but he also relies on them for guidance as well (note: see how he relies on the 96 team but also takes care of them, thats not just possible Cancer asc talking - that is a combination of Capricorn Jupiter being possibly in 7th as well)
Home is how you define it - and relationships can be strong with love, even if it’s platonic/friendship with others. There’s significance in looking at how his Gemini/Mercury placements (11th - friends, allies, gifts/talent) interact with that Sagittarius Pluto (6th - working, employee, responsibilities) - and thus his Capricorn Jupiter, which coincidentally falls in an angular house as well (7th - partners, associates, partnerships.)
Do you kinda see what I’m trying to say? It’s all interconnected, how sincere it all is and how important using these talents/valuing friendship and partnership is to him. Not just personally, but for the sake of others as well. If he really is a Cancer ascendant, this is important, to take care and be responsible of his tasks, help others when he can. But also to be taken care of and acted/praised with respect for his personal efforts.
We joke around about Hoshi being playful a lot of the time!! And that may be well and dandy, but he’s also a very comforting and calming person as well. And it’s about time we acknowledge that too maybe ;;
Tumblr media
I’ve talked alot about his 7-8am - but what if it’s closer to 8-9am?? I think most people might find him being a leo ascendant more believable, considering his staggering stage presence and love for performance itself!!
If he is a leo ascendant instead - most likely his placements would then fall neatly into the 11th house (Cancer would instead rule his 12th) - he’d have a Taurus MC, and a Scorpio IC. A chill, dorky and stable figure. Someone who seems to bring what we talked about earlier (in the section about 11th house above) to lives around him.
Not just this, but his Sagittarius would be in 5th, which talks about versatility in interests, hobbies, entertainment and creativity. Virgo in 2nd, talks about self-esteem, linking back to Gemini Mercury in 11th. Perfectionist tendency with themselves to improve their values and confidence, their personal taste, material possessions (possibly fashion choices). All of the energy would be channeled into doing the best - demonstrating and performing the best as possible, it’s all in one coin. But he’s confident in it. Receiving recognition and praise may come second to self-expression, but it’s still something that will support his confidence/self going forward as well.
Sun in 11th as well as Leo ASC ruling the chart is a nice touch, especially since he’s in the business of constant exposure and being able to interact, receive or affectionately give back/gain from others as well. Gemini may have moodiness that makes them hide-away, but it’s also easily turned out when they’re in the zone of comfort/receiving compliments from others in an easy-going interaction (going with the flow used to turn their moods around).
Tumblr media
Not much to say, but I hope this is long and detailed enough to feel satisfied with reading!
Again, I feel like I should emphasize even more after doing an add on like this that the time I was given by anon is still unsourced. And thus, it’s speculated birthtime at this point, alleged. And unconfirmed.
I can’t in good conscious add onto headcannon birthtime speculations unless I actually have someone, held accountable for the information or misinformation, with their credibility and source checked a second time.
Especially on a public social media platform - where misinformation can spread easily and taken out of hands into being ‘factual’ and rabid within a fan space. I’m trying to be as careful as I can on how to do this, but I know I can slip up and this - I’m wary - may be one of the times I ‘slip up’ because I can’t control how much or how little someone will take this and run with it/make with it as they can.
I hope that this analysis - instead of being focused on hoshi - is more about having him as an example for those who has interest in astrology or may have similar placements to him and wanted to know more, to get to know themselves and see themselves as special and close to their favourite idols as well.
I hope this comes across as me talking more about placements similar to his, and giving information that could be used personally by the person (any readers) to understand and gift themselves with, rather than spreading false speculations about idols in this space
That’s the narrative I’m going for, so I’m hoping it translates ;; In other news, I hope those that read this and feel like it hits close to home, but didn’t have much interest in Hoshi before - look more into him themselves and gain an interest in observing him and becoming a fan as well. I hope it goes both ways, and brings good alliances with people instead of tearing public careers and personal lives of idols down.
Anyways, thats all I have! I hope I’ve fed you a little - even though you probably meant and may be interested in the other members I haven’t written for yet ;; hehe

Meta: Personality Analysis
Disclaimer: I, in no way, am a psychologist nor claim to be good at this. This is purely for fun, and for character growth. Also, this is based on the way I write Kamui/Corrin. Some of her personality is divergent from canon, due to past interactions in the four+ years I’ve written her.
Edited: August 15th, 2020
Also this got even longer and I’m sorry.
Enneagram: Nine
Nines are accepting, trusting, and stable. They are usually creative, optimistic, and supportive, but can also be too willing to go along with others to keep the peace. They want everything to go smoothly and be without conflict, but they can also tend to be complacent, simplifying problems and minimizing anything upsetting. They typically have problems with inertia and stubbornness. At their Best: indomitable and all-embracing, they are able to bring people together and heal conflicts.
MTBI: ENFJ “The Protagonist.”
Protagonists are natural-born leaders, full of passion and charisma. Forming around two percent of the population, they are oftentimes our politicians, our coaches and our teachers, reaching out and inspiring others to achieve and to do good in the world. With a natural confidence that begets influence, Protagonists take a great deal of pride and joy in guiding others to work together to improve themselves and their community.
Four Temperaments: Sanguine
Your temperament is sanguine. The sanguine temperament is fundamentally spontaneous and pleasure-seeking; sanguine people are sociable and charismatic. They tend to enjoy social gatherings, making new friends and tend to be boisterous. They are usually quite creative and often daydream. However, some alone time is crucial for those of this temperament. Sanguine can also mean sensitive, compassionate and thoughtful. Sanguine personalities generally struggle with following tasks all the way through, are chronically late, and tend to be forgetful and sometimes a little sarcastic. Often, when they pursue a new hobby, they lose interest as soon as it ceases to be engaging or fun. They are very much people persons. They are talkative and not shy. Sanguines generally have an almost shameless nature, certain that what they are doing is right. They have no lack of confidence.
Moral Alignment: Chaotic Good, "Rebel"
A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society.
Chaotic good is the best alignment you can be because it combines a good heart with a free spirit.
Chaotic good can be a dangerous alignment when it disrupts the order of society and punishes those who do well for themselves.
Astrology: Taurus
Strengths: Reliable, patient, practical, devoted, responsible, stable
Weaknesses: Stubborn, possessive, uncompromising
Taurus likes: Gardening, cooking, music, romance, high quality clothes, working with hands
Taurus dislikes: Sudden changes, complications, insecurity of any kind, synthetic fabrics
Practical and well-grounded, Taurus is the sign that harvests the fruits of labor. They feel the need to always be surrounded by love and beauty, turned to the material world, hedonism, and physical pleasures. People born with their Sun in Taurus are sensual and tactile, considering touch and taste the most important of all senses. Stable and conservative, this is one of the most reliable signs of the zodiac, ready to endure and stick to their choices until they reach the point of personal satisfaction.
Taurus is an Earth sign, just like Virgo and Capricorn, and has the ability to see things from a grounded, practical and realistic perspective. They find it easy to make money and stay on same projects for years, or until they are completed. What we often see as stubbornness can be interpreted as commitment, and their ability to complete tasks whatever it takes is uncanny. This makes them excellent employees, great long-term friends and partners, always being there for people they love. Earthly note makes them overprotective, conservative, or materialistic at times, with views of the world founded on their love of money and wealth.
The ruler of Taurus is Venus, the planet of love, attraction, beauty, satisfaction, creativity and gratitude. This tender nature will make Taurus an excellent cook, gardener, lover, and artist. They are loyal and don't like sudden changes, criticism or the chase of guilt people are often prone to, being somewhat dependable on other people and emotions they seem to be unable to let go of. Still, no matter their potential emotional challenge, these individuals have the ability to bring a practical voice of reason in any chaotic and unhealthy situation.
Taurus – the Wandering Bull Being the one who betrayed their best friend, goddess Hera herself, this is an unfortunate being that has to wander the Earth in order to find freedom. As if something was always poking them behind their back, reminding them of happiness that once was, stinging and pushing forwards, they close up in their own worlds, lonely and separated from their core. To find love, a Taurus has to travel the world, change perspective or make a shift in their entire belief system and their system of values.
Conclusion:
There are some contradictions in these results, but overall, it is her at a basic premise. She tends to be very strong with her foundations, doing whatever she can to keep by them. Most of the time, she will listen to what others have to say, for they can hold more wisdom than her. However, there are just some things that she won't change on. Her Nohrian family knows this the most, and there are some thing that they've tried to change about her. Especially Leo ( sorrcerii ).
When it comes to the vices, she holds those in as much as possible. The insecurity, the side of her that may be uncompromising -- her reaction to sudden change that isn't what she planned for. Things like that. As a tactician, she likes to be as many steps ahead of her enemy as possible. In mundane life, she tries to put that side of her away. But there's always going to be a part of her that takes notice of every little thing. She notices how someone reacts to a gift, a conversation, and logs it away. However, unlike the standard, she tends to be rather lenient. She's also like clay; she picks up on traits. For example: because of Jeanne's ( noircisaint ) influence, she has more of a backbone than the 'standard' Avatar. With Zero ( echoedfates ), more of her playfulness comes out. He’s shown her that it’s OK to be a bit of a prankster -- well, more than she was before -- and it’s OK to put the title away when it’s just them. That there’s a difference between ‘princess’, ‘general’, and ‘wife’.
In her Type Moon verses, Makoto ( dekirukoto ) and Yi ( einhcrjars ) have taught her it’s OK to let her guard down. Especially while in Chaldea, and around them. That it’s OK to love, and even though it may hurt when they are returned to the throne, that things don’t have to stay at a standstill. That, hey, it’s OK to be you -- even more now than you were.
However, that doesn't mean she'll bite the bullet on it's first fire, and will always try to resolve a conflict before it arrives. Her anger is one of a slow fire, unless you pour the right amount of gas.
Kamui also holds in a lot more than most people. Even around those she calls her confidants and her retainers, she rather watch herself burn and suffer than those around her. She's very much a 'the world must be saved instead of myself'. Yet, over time, she's grown to understand that some people don't deserve it. Later on in the game, and depending on what route/verse, she will show some aggression to those who she deems deserves it. Which, as we know, is extremely small. ( Base game alone, Anankos, Hans, Garon, and Iago are the ones who get no special treatment from Kamui. And if she's acting nice, it's an act. )
There are times where she’ll return to a child-like state as well. There were many things that she didn’t get to experience, which lead her to have an imaginative mind and, at first, such a naive personality. Even during and after the war, she still retains it, since it’s so ingrained. It’s hard to ignore, hard to hide, but over time she comes to accept it. This is why she’s always reading; always wanting to learn; always wanting to experience what others have. A void can only be filled so much.
However, even though she may not seem it, she is rather intelligent. Because of lack of human contact outside of her retainers and teachers, she can come off as an 'airhead' or 'aloof'. Over time, that fades, and her true colors begin to shine more. She's able to find hoops she can jump through, but only will if the time seems right. Calculating outcomes begins to come second nature to her.
This is especially true when in Conquest, where she goes and knocks out almost all the Hoshidan soldiers she fights, just to put on a show for King Garon. In the end of that route, TECHNICALLY, she committed treason and blasphemy against Nohr. But thanks to Xander, she was absolved, and history wrote it to be that King Garon was dethrone on the basis of madness and insanity, dying in a battle in the Hoshidan capital.
And that’s it on this segment of, “Carrie adores Kamui too much, and has a problem.” Back to your regularly scheduled fluff! Thank you for reading this, and I’m sorry this turned out so long. asdfg
