To followers and to those that were following bloodbladesanddemons, I’m sure you are all aware of a troll that has been on those site ever since May, and what started as a minor inconvenience has spiraled into a storm that has hurt many wonderful creators, fans of demon slayer that just a wanted a peaceful place to rant about their passions. Me and bbd have been friends for years, and when we both got into demon slayer about a year ago, we both decided to share that passion and create our own accounts. Both with our own characters, stories and hoping that we could meet like minded people to share our passion with. And at first, it was a great experience that had helped us reach so many wonderful people, and we got in right when the character Hantengu was animated so the hype was there for that specific character.

That all changed however when in April we started getting random anon asks from a person claiming they knew a creator named mothzii who was calling another artist a racial slur, and that’s why we should hate and avoid them at all costs. Since we had no idea what was going on, didn’t know who Mothzii was and found it weird that someone would go anon to apparently warn us, we ignored it because it wasn’t our business and we assumed that since most people are adults they can figure it out themselves. Why add to drama that didn’t involve us right? That changed when a young artist dream core started reporting that there was an anon troll on their asks and messages who was harrassing them relentlessly. Since bbd had recently started interacting with them she decided to help in anyway she could by both advising and giving them support, cuz bullying is not okay. After doing some research, we found a strange account on rule34, a degenerate site as we are all aware, but I found a picture that someone posted of fanart, of Sekido insulting some random female oc saying you disgust me, let me love on my real wives…to which they mention not only a random name of some other oc, but mention bbd’s character chizue. We found that this rule 34 user took mothzii commissioned art of her self insert, drew over it and basically stole the art, and made a disgusting parody of it, mentioning two OCs that were not even the posters or mothziis own. Basically, using bbd’s character without permission to harass and make fun of someone else. Bbd did not stand for it, and made a post saying that it was not okay for someone to use her character to compare and contrast who was a better fit for Sekido…which by the way is childish and disgusting cuz Sekido is a fictional character, and to justify art theft from people on twitter and mentioning an artist on tumblr is apparently is just asking for drama. After bbd made that post, we also reported the post and account on rule34 cuz the pic was very explicit and to see her characters name on that was disgusting. It was taken down….but not before receiving multiple anon asks about it. She ignored them, but when they started making porn of dreamcores CHILD character, sending it to them and BBD through anon asks+messages and practically taunting both saying “hahaha, you can’t do anything about it” bbd stepped in to report them again. They made so many pedophiliac art using dreams character, sent it to them and bbd, and when bbd reported them they started stealing bbds art as retaliation, reposting it on the same rule34 account and kept at the taunting. Even took a gift art bbd drew for dreamcore and made an explicit version making fun of dreamcores character, and stealing+editing bbd’s art without consent and posted it to rule34. It got so bad that she contacted rule 34 moderators about it, and after a while they asked the troll poster to take it down.

Not even a couple days later I start getting anon asks/taunts, with the troll linking their new rule34 account and showing me they stole one of my pieces (The Shinjuro and Hatomi comic) and were taunting me asking what I’m gonna do about it. I did something about it, not only did I report the art theft, I made sure to report to mods about the new account and gave them all the evidence that they are the same person from before on rule 34, even showing the multiple screenshots of this troll making multiple spam accounts just to harass not only bbd and dream, but others not even involved, those that have supported bbd and her art, and even came after me and sun because we were her friends. This troll found it better to be a coward, and hide behind spam accounts because they were so confident they would never be found. So cocky that they justified to themselves that art theft and pedo art is okay as they can bully the people they are jealous of. They went on for months calling dream bbd and sun broken white supremiscists that made art for eachother because white people stick together, that as them being a person of color started demanding they get free art too. Then They made the mistake of calling me a white supremicist, because me being friends with them and others they didn’t like meant I was white….i knew this was a taunt and a way to bait me and instead of keeping it private like they wanted it to be, I exposed them, answered their taunt and revealed that I was actually not white, I was colored, and I addressed both their corwardice and blatant racism for trying to justify their harrassment with the color of their skin. No matter what race, a shit person is still a shit person, and no amount of racial slurs they threw at us would make them right. That’s when they started calling me a Mexican taco muncher, and sent me more spam asks trying to make fun of me, even sent them to bbd and a couple others. I didn’t talk the insult seriously cuz they were entirely off the mark on my race and I knew they were just trying to goad me into a private message battle, so I made it public to others about what this troll was doing and if they were getting bothered to ignore them.

I was also made aware that there was a private discord that most of the Hantengu fan creators were a part of, me and bbd were invited but chose not to accept due to suspicions of the troll being on there, and after getting multiple screenshots of the drama going on there we were glad we didn’t. It proved that the troll was causing many problems on that server. Bbd had gotten to know one of these members from here on tumblr and even started talking to them both on tumblr and outside of that, which was on discord. Since bbd started becoming acquainted with them, I started talking with them as well. But then a couple months into it, the person bbd was talking to had a disagreement with a characters story, and instead of respecting bbds boundary had started to make a problem about it. All of it was discussed privately on discord and bbd, myself and sunbroken had chosen to keep the matter private and not give any more ammo to the troll who we knew was stalking all of our accounts as proven with the multiple spam asks, messages and stolen art. We had hoped the matter could be solved privately as the person responsible had at first agreed to give bbd some quiet time before they would sit down and talk about it. Despite some instances of them not respecting bbds boundary, bbd still chose not to spread any info as that was nobody else’s business, and chose to take down the art with said persons character as since that was her art she has every right to do that..

Until the troll came back and started harrassing again, claiming that how dare BBd do that, claiming this person bbd took the art down of was their friend. Acting as if they had any say over what bbd should post and not post. Considering what the troll was saying through anon asks referencing the person that BBd was on rocky terms with after the argument, we all went to the person to ask if they shared what happened with anyone not involved. Turns out, they did, shared it with one person who they thought was their friend and who was also a part of that same Hantengu server. Understandably due to the harrassment from the troll and finding that this person shared sensitive info with someone not involved, BBd cut contact. I chose not to as I wanted to find out more. For a couple months bbd had been making more content, the troll every so often coming back with more ridiculous spam asks calling her many expletives and mocking their art, the troll was ignored, and others who have been getting the same came to me with screenshots of the stuff they were getting. We all chose to ignore it. Well I suppose the troll didn’t like getting ignored, so then they started a new account on twitter to steal more art, and even started bullying georgette mademoiselle. Because they have no conscience, even started going back on the insults they referred to bbds character with, and started sending multiple messages to both georgette and bbd that georgettes character compared to Chizue was absolute crap. It was horrid, and bbd made sure to report them and talk with Georgette to show that this troll was doing that. So that was supposed to be the end of it right?

Not. The troll kept going. Confident they would never be found, still kept making fun of all mentioned previously, and even started mentioning bbd private tumblr+discord account in these spam asks. We thought it was strange how this troll knew as BBd does not share her personal account with any one, except for the one person from before that she cut contact with. Since the person was not forthcoming with anything going on, bbd had to go on the assumption that whoever they told led this troll to find their private account. And then the troll started stalking their Facebook. Finding old pics and threatening to apparently expose her? Which makes no sense cause bbd has nothing to hide, but it was disturbing how this troll was now stalking her personal accounts. So we kept digging. And since the troll sent me a spam ask taunting me with bbd face, saying their name and trying to guess where they live, I decided to contact them (I know them in real life, and found it disgusting how obsessed this troll was with bothering them. Throughout the back and forth the troll had made many things clear, that they had no intent of stopping, and that they will harass other people. Even going so far as to say they will impersonate again and again to drive her supporters away if it means making them miserable, sharing that they knew both of our discords. They made this first account just this past week, which got deactivated, then came back with a new one, this time showing that they stole more art from bbd and posted it on another version of rule34 since last time they got banned from doing it on the other. This was the convo

After I called them out, after a day or two, sunbroken confronts the person who first shared bbd’s personal info with the other person, trying to get to the bottom of it, but out of fear they chose not to share initially. That and I started receiving threats from the troll trying to stalk my personal and find my face while also threatening to find out where I live. And then finally after a month of not speaking to me I get this from serenesaku, who was the one who vented to their friend ria about the situation from months before in the first place. Dream core apparently got screenshots from one of the members on discord, who apparently got it from a spam account which was the troll on tumblr, sending these to that member to send to dreamcore out of feign concern that apparently BBd was talking behind dreams back on discord. News flash, this chat was entirely fabricated by the troll, making a fake discord account using bbd private discord name, posing as them and making a chat log and wanting dream to see it so to frame bbd. For a text convo btw that never happened. I wouldn’t be surprised if said troll just took a pic of bbd discord name from the screenshots they got from serenesaku back when she vented to them, and just copy and pasted over these screenshots to make it look like bbd said them. And the sicker part is that they did this with mothzii back when the drama first started, impersonating them and sending it to their friends so to isolate mothzii. Serenesaku did not know better, their naïveté was taken advantage of, and because she shared this with another person the troll found their personal stuff and started making up fake evidence. When serenesaku approached me asking who was doing it to Dream, this is the convo that happened. And so many things that were not shared before were shared.

I know this is a lot. Frankly I am disgusted that such a toxic part of the fandom has found its way here and affected some of the good people I know and still attempts to harass me as I post this. I will not delete my account. If there is anyone who wants to know the truth, don’t be afraid to ask. Then again, if you don’t want to be involved, i don’t blame you either. Knowing this information has made me and bbd lose faith in what we thought was a fun fandom. I still hope it is, and that’s why I am making this post. The world is already a shit place, and the internet has its shit places too, but for those that want to advocate for truth and proper internet etiquette, let this be an example of what happens when people don’t properly communicate, that this is what jealousy and not treating other people with respect does. Yes demon slayer is fiction, but why would someone like this troll waste all their time and energy just to make everyone miserable for something that is supposed to be fun. Cuz that is what they want. To divide and conquer. They want attention and power, Don’t let this troll win. With the truth now posted, I hope this can bring those that want a fun environment together under a common purpose. This behavior from the troll is unacceptable, and I know the troll is watching so let this post show you that I am not afraid of you. I am not afraid of speaking the truth. Neither is sun, neither is Saku, and neither are the ones you targeted. I know who you are, I refuse to play your game, and I won’t give up until the many creators I have come to cherish and respect can create without fear that your jealousy will cause another situation like this to happen again. We all have our own personal lives, as humans we are entitled to our own sense of privacy, seeing as how you violated that in the name of harassment, then surely that same respect can be extended to you. None.

The troll is a coward, full of jealousy and won’t stop until everyone is divided and they can have a fictional character all to themselves. it is pathetic. Shameful behavior that they perpetuate with spreading lies and misinformation, hoping they can get away with it again. The truth hurts, I know that and those that may have unintentionally have been in contact with the troll, you are not to blame. How could you have known that someone this two faced was this delusional. If I lose followers, that’s okay. This was never about followers, this was about sharing my stories with those that want it. Bbd wanted that too, before her privacy was infringed upon. Would any of you stay silent and let that happen to someone else close to you, I won’t and refuse to give up, cuz know better than to blame the fandom. This is just one miserable person that wants power over someone. If I mentioned you either with or without consent, my deepest apologies. This troll took advantage of people just wanting to ignore it, talking advantage of peoples trust and wanting to move on and put it all on someone innocent that they were jealous of. I have kept quiet, supporting bbd and those I can however I was able, but now I see the only way to truly bring people together is to show the truth. However ugly it may be, this is how it happened and has spiraled since.

Bbd may have left, but she has not given up, just because she deactivated her account doesn’t change the fact that she had a story she wanted to tell, to share with those that wanted to listen. The wrong person that came in and ruined it doesn’t change the impact her art and stories had on you guys. She wants to thank those that have been with her through all of this, whether it was silent support or the daily comments that always brightened her day. Dreamcore, you were one of those people that was both hurt and supported bbd, and that what this troll sent to Hurt you was not bbd , it was just the troll trying to harass you since you posted about your stress of the whole situation. They saw that their efforts were working on you and bbd, and so they did this to sow even more distrust. The spam account that sent this to the person that showed you these had the intention of setting you against bbd. I remember when you first started getting harrassed, how angry me, bbd and many others were that someone would do something’s so horrid, and then move on to bbd just for helping you. This is a lot, you are not at fault, you are innocent. While in the past I did not agree with Saku at times, they knew how important it was to tell the truth. And it is the truth now I wish to share so people are aware.

I tagged those bullied, and for those I did not tag, it is out of respect that you helped give evidence so the troll can be exposed, if you guys wish to be mentioned please let me know. A united front is better than what the troll wants, which is a divided one. As for @hearts4muzan /overworked , is talking behind others back, spreading lies and rumors, making light of what has been going on….is that funny to you? Are you proud that so many creators have left because of the constant harrassment, art theft, and stalking personal accounts. In what world is any of that excusable, for this not only to happen once before but for you both to help perpetuate another all in the name of attention. Did you think you were clever, so two faced playing as if you had nothing to do with this, now everything has been brought to light. What do you have to say for yourselves? And the just this morning you send this to Saku, since bbd deactivated their account, after you impersonated them on discord, and after sending harassment about bbds OCs for months

Saku knows who you are now, what kind of demented person taunts this after what you had done, and not only that says that because BBd is gone, Bbds character Katashi is now free to use?! Saku didn’t ask for this, sure she made mistakes, but nothing justifys saying that. Katashi is bbd’s character, Saku respects that, and you do not. Appalling.

I know this may break alot of the trust creators thought they could place, who wants to say they talked with the ones responsible and had no idea, I understand this is both discouraging and will hurt. However there is one way I see this and that is what inspires me to give the truth now. This troll was never honest in the first place, they were a coward that preyed on everyone to manipulate and control. i hope it's okay to come here, and i'm sorry in advance if this gets a little long. i'm not sure if this is a vent or not, but i'm on anon because i'm very shy (and still struggling to leave as i'll explain in a bit).

i used to be anti-endo and i just want to know i'm not going to be all alone when i finally make the leap away from it, and your blog has some of the largest plural reach i know of. if anyone reading this has the time to hear me out or offer advice, i'd appreciate it. no obligation, of course.

i wasn't acting in bad faith. i was acting in genuine concern for people who i was led to believe were damaging themselves by "not confronting their trauma" or damaging others by spreading misinfo about my disorder.

granted, all of that behavior was absolutely not okay and a massive overstep, but i was a kid who felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders. autistic strong sense of justice, yanno?

i know now that endos were never even claiming to have DID in the first place, and i also know that endos are plural - just in a different way than i am.

the anti-endo community i was in was an echo chamber of misinformation and disinformation. they made me feel like there was no way out and that i would lose my support network (what little i had), and as a cult survivor who was being stalked and threatened at that point of my life, that scared me enough into staying.

i was anti-endo for nearly four years if memory serves correctly. i couldn't find any other info than what they fed to me, so of course i believed them. of course i thought i was helping. i spent hours upon hours every day just telling people endos were wrong because i wanted to save them from manipulation that didn't even exist and i wanted to save others with DID from being fed misinformation that also didn't exist. i also was in such an environment that if i didn't partake, then i'd be next on their fakeclaiming/harassment list.

anti-endos as a whole are a community built on hating a problem that isn't even real. the problems that they pitched to me were baseless false accusations. endos don't make the claims that antis say they do. endos are just existing and trying to survive just like me. communities shouldn't be built on hate. they should be built on community and kindness.

and that's apparently a hot enough take to lose almost every friend i've ever made. i'm worried that i won't be able to find other systems who'd want to associate with me (which is entirely fair - i've been a harmful person and i'd never force them to be around me if they didn't want to), but i can't do this hatred and vitriol thing anymore. i just want to be kind. i just want to care about people and accept them for who they are. i don't want to be mean anymore.

In my experience, the pro-endo community has proven to be fairly forgiving. @SysmedsAreSexist was probably one of the most prolific anti-endos on the site for years. They had similar fears to you that when switching sides, they wouldn't be accepted, and wrote about it here:

But since then, I think they've been welcomed into the community by most pro-endos.

I think that when you make the leap, you won't find yourself as alone as you fear.

Help why is Silved mpreg a new thing on this app- like what started this help me

OH BOY how the fuck do I explain this shit

Ok so basically back in very early January I decided to draw Silver Spoon.. but pregnant. AS A JOKE-

Then my gf (@humanaltarr) posted the pic, and a few of my moots on Tumblr saw it, and at first I was like "Welp this is the end of my Tumblr career" and I think just a few hours later one of my moots (@spiritmander13) wrote the first Silver Spoon mpreg fic called "Silver Suffers With Morning Sickness" with 6 chapters (technically 7 but the 7th isn't involved with the story)

Then Silver Spoon mpreg became a big joke mostly on the oscc discord I believe (I joined it for a few days but left) and then for a while it was quiet, until I started an ask blog called @askthe-iii-shipchildren, on April 5th, and on April 30th I got an ask by an anonymous person where they wanted Candelabra to put Silver Spoon in a maid dress, and I ended up drawing Silver in a maid dress

Now here's were the second Silver mpreg era began. I made a joke with Candle saying "If Silver stays in that for much longer Candelabra is gonna have a little sibling soon" cuz I thought it would be funny (had no idea what it would cause)

Then @spiritmander13 reblogged it and said something like "CANDLE NO-" and I replied back saying "Silver Spoon mpreg part 2 /j" AS A JOKE. She told me not to start it again, and I said "Aw shucks" but in the tags of that reblog, I said "Time to draw Silver pregnant in a maid dress" and that's where I messed up since Spiritmander said they were intimidated.

Suddenly, I got tagged in a post by Spiritmander, and it seemed to be a screenshot of them saying "Don't tell Infinite, my sins shall stay hidden until it is the right time (I scrolled for like 20 minutes on their blog to find that fucking hell)

Then I got a little spooked cuz yk it's not everyday shit like this happens. I then screenshotted it and went into her inbox with the screenshot and asked "WHAT IS RHIS, WHAT DOES THIS MEAN" and she replied with another screenshot and it said "*Casually steals Tumblr mutuals fankid for the story*" and that's when I knew what was happening.

Soon, Spiritmander posted another Silver Spoon mpreg fic called "Little Moth"

Then it was a little quiet after that, with me making an occasional joke about it, always ending it with Spirit saying "HEY YOU STARTED IT!"

There is also this whole thing with "Bab Incest" Spirit did but I wasn't involved with that

Later in to May, me, @spiritmander13 and @mxmc13 formed the "Silver Spoon simp trio" cause apparently we all saw each other as friends so why not

Then the (sort of) mpreg era 3 started again. I'll put this part simply and say that me and a few other people on osc Tumblr got asks in our inboxes by "Anon~Chan" that were basically like a shitty Wattpad story but with II characters, and I personally got a Silverloon mpreg thing.. so fun..

And the most recent thing that happened. There was a Two x Jax post, and me, Mc, and Spirit were basically joking more about Silver Spoon mpreg in the reblogs, until Spirit came along and said "Silver Spoon simp trio canceled." And me and Mc were absolutely DEVASTATED and then Spirit said that me and Mc had to write Silver Spoon mpreg as well, for me as punishment for drawing it and confusing the original poster, and for Mc.. dunno..

And that's what's currently happening, I am working on my Silver mpreg and so is @mxmc13 ..

And yeah that's the whole story pretty much, this was a VERY long post and probably not even was the asker really wanted but meh

Anyways I imma end this off with saying.. I do not regret first drawing the Silver Spoon mpreg, since this is all genuinely fun and it even got me some friends on this site (Spiritmander and Mxmx and their great) so yeah =]

Hi, anon! I don't really mind sharing how I apply patterns to my GIFs. It's easy to do and quite fun once you get the hang of it. And thank you! I really appreciate it. I'm glad you love my GIFs. (°◡°♡)

I use Photoshop 2021 but I think this applies to older versions too. Also, just a disclaimer that I am not a PS expert. This is just how I prefer to edit my GIFs so take whatever I will say here with a grain of salt. Lastly, I apologize if my English is bad and my explanation is lengthy. This is my first time making a tutorial of some sort. (⌒_⌒;)

Find a pattern that you want to apply to your GIF.

I don't know the link anymore to the actual pattern I am using so I will use a different one that has the same style. So for this example, I will be using Halftone Patterns by EDFTeam that I found from DeviantArt. To download the file, you need to log in to the site. If you want a different pattern but with the same style, just search for halftone patterns.]

Import the .PAT file on PS.

Make sure that Pattern is enabled [Windows > Pattern]. On Patterns tab, click Import Patterns. Find the folder where you saved the .pat file, select the file, and then load it. If loaded successfully, the patterns should appear at the bottom of the list:

Apply one of the patterns above your GIF layer.

In this example, I made sure that my GIF layer was selected before choosing a pattern. So that when I clicked the pattern, it would automatically be clipped to the GIF layer.

This is how it will look like once you click one of the patterns. In my case, I selected the first one. It looks reddish because of my coloring. This is another reason why I prefer the Pattern layer right after the GIF layer so the pattern will also adopt my coloring.

If you are using Video Timeline mode, make sure to adjust the Pattern Fill layer to the other layers to avoid blank layers when saving the GIF file. If you are using Frame Timeline mode, then there's no need to do this.

Change the blend mode of the Pattern Fill to your preferred style.

I typically use Darken or Multiply to add a darker shade of pattern fill to my GIF. And if I want to lighten, I use Lighten or Screen. But feel free to explore other blend modes as well. In this example, I used Lighten.

Decrease the opacity of the Pattern Fill.

For Lighten/Screen blend mode, I typically set the opacity to 5%. And for Darken/Multiply, I set it to 10%. [This is just my preference though since I want to add a subtle pattern texture that does not interfere with my coloring.]

Make necessary adjustments to your coloring layers (optional).

This is only optional, but if you think your GIF already looks good without readjusting any of the other layers, then you're good to go. In my case, I would make slight changes to the Brightness/Contrast and Levels Adjustment layers.

Posting the GIFs here without and with patterns for comparison:

ADDITIONAL TIPS:

You can also adjust the size of your pattern.

Double-click the layer thumbnail of the pattern fill layer. Then change the percentage and click OK. You can go beyond 100% if you want to make the pattern bigger.

This is just my observation but if you are planning to use the GIF as part of a photo set with more than 1 column, you might want to enlarge the pattern so it will still be noticeable.

With 100%, this is how your set GIF is gonna look:

With 150%, this is how your set is gonna look:

As you can see, the pattern is not noticeable at 100% if positioned in 2 columns but it becomes apparent at 150%. So basically, my rule here is a larger pattern size for a smaller GIF display.

You can also clip patterns to shapes and other smart objects other than your GIF layer.

In this example, I chose a heavy font type for the clipping mask so the patterns are visible which I then converted to a smart object. And since the pattern is applied to the text, you can have these layers above your coloring. [I haven't done this before but I thought of including this because it's also a nice way of using patterns.]

And this will be the output:

You can also modify the mask of the pattern where it is being applied.

The white space signifies that the entire space of the GIF layer is filled with patterns. You can change this by using the brush tool [set the color to black] to erase the parts you didn't want to be filled with patterns. Make sure the layer mask thumbnail is selected and not the layer thumbnail. You can switch back to white color if you want to erase the result of your brush.

In this example, I tried to erase a lot of white spaces to make it look like a frame. With this, I can go wilder with the pattern. I select Overlay as blend mode and set opacity to 100%.

So this is what the actual GIF looks like:

Hi, anon. Yes, I know about the submarine - I haven't been on this blog since last weekend but I posted about it on Monday (I think) when the news first broke on my other blog @alwaysahiccupandastrid (that blog is the one I'm logged into on my phone whereas this one is the one I'm logged into on my iPod and laptop). Obviously since then the news has been a huge deal, it's been all over the news, so it's been pretty strange to log onto social media and see "titanic" trending so much.

I want to be clear that I don't wish death on anyone, I truly don't, and also that two of the people who were on that submarine actually lived a 15 minute walk from me, and I only found out because it was posted on facebook on my village's community group/page - they were the father and son, Shahzada and Suleman Dawood, who were onboard. All of this said, I'm sorry but it's really hard to sympathise with billionaires who were basically trespassing on what is a grave-site for 1500 people. If they had been researchers then I might hold a little bit more sympathy, but these people...with the exception of the 19 year old who apparently only went because of his father because it was Father's Day last weekend, I struggle to understand why those billionaires were going down there.

Here's the thing: as you said, the Titanic is one of my special interests - I am literally obsessive about not only the film made by James Cameron but also the ship itself, the history behind it, the stories of the people who were onboard etc. In fact, the reason I love the film as much as I do is because James Cameron had an obsession with the wreck too and went out of his way to be as truthful to the tragedy as possible - he even went down to the wreck for hours and hours recording footage, and even after the film came out he's continued to dive not only down to the wreck but also even further down into the ocean (I will talk about him and his dives in a moment).

All of the above in mind, would I want to go down to the wreck myself? Probably not.

A part of me would in fact want to do it because of my special interest, to see that once beautiful and magnificent ship in person, while being respectful as possible and taking the time to remember the people who suffered - but the other part of me would not because firstly, as I've said, it's where 1500 people died and trespassing on the graves of 1500 people just seems incredibly fucked to me. It's not a tourist attraction, for fuck sake, it's the site of a horrible tragedy. It's also important to note that because of all of the deep sea dives down there, because people keep disturbing the wreck, it's making the ship start to disappear - yes, part of this is due to it being 111 years since it sank, but submarines constantly disturbing it are not helping preserve it quite frankly. The man who discovered the wreck, Robert Ballard, has even said that he wished he hadn't told people he'd discovered it because of the way people have desecrated it. (side note: I borrowed his book on the Titanic from my local library in February and only gave it back last weekend because I ran out of renewals)

All of that aside, however, serious questions need to be asked about that submersible because the design of it was clearly not appropriate for that dive, and it's clear the people who made it wanted to cut corners and save money when they created it. We've all seen the memes about the fact it was being steered by a remote control you can literally buy on Amazon (the one that looks like a video game controller), and the fact that the submersible was so small it would have been like being shoved into a Pringles can. While I find the memes insensitive, it can't be denied that OceanGate have a LOT to answer for when it comes to that submersible and the design of it.

As for James Cameron, before anyone starts asking why I'm not criticizing him, the thing is that he went down to the wreckage on an actual submarine with an actual crew who do this for a living - these people were on a submersible, not a submarine. He's also made 33 dives, not just to the Titanic but also to the Mariana Trench and other deep parts of the ocean; he also designed a 24-foot submersible called the Deepsea Challenger, which took 10 years to build at a cost of $10 million, and is made of principally from syntactic foam, a high-strength, low-weight material which enables it to withstand the huge pressure exerted on it by the ocean. He has literally done his research of the ocean, his research of submarines and submersibles, and it's very clear he holds respect for not only the Titanic but also for the ocean as well. He did an interview recently about the Titan submersible, criticizing the choice of carbon-fibre composite construction of the pressure vessel, saying that it has "no strength in compression" when subject to immense pressures at depth; he also criticized Stockton Rush, the chief executor and co-founder of OceanGate who was on the submersible, and Rush's real-time monitoring of the submarine's hull as an inadequate solution that would do little to prevent an implosion.

To sum it up, while I'm personally not celebrating anyone's death in this situation and I think the memes aren't strictly appropriate, I don't feel a lot of sympathy for them - for their families who have been left behind, maybe, but it's difficult to find sympathy for a group of billionaires fucking around and going to the wreck for...for what? Shits and giggles? Because they could? As Jeff Goldblum's character said in Jurassic Park, "your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should" - and that's exactly what I feel about these people and a lot of billionaires, quite frankly, that just because they have money to do shit like this, it doesn't mean they should. I especially can't find a lot of sympathy for the co-founder who was on that submersible because, quite frankly, if he and his company hadn't been so tight-fisted and cheap when making their submersible, this might not have happened.

As a side note, I've seen people asking the authorities about recovering the bodies, and I don't think people are understanding that there are no bodies to recover, no remains, not even a single bone - there's quite literally nothing left of those people anymore. The submersible imploded, and the people inside would have literally been turned to mist at that pressure, like they would have literally disintegrated. I hope that the families of the people on that submersible can find some comfort, if nothing else, in knowing that the death of their loved ones was probably quick, that they didn't suffer - it's likely they didn't even know what was happening because of how quick the implosion would have been.

You can't get to an onion site from google you have to use a tor search engine like duckduckgo. Semantics, I know, but, even on tor you can't search a username a find a darkweb cp forum. I just wanted to share that I relate with you, a few years ago I posted that I really hated Sonic Forces, bad game bad story and everything, I then ended up getting someone who send me numerous messages on how wrong I was, I ignored them but they kept going, then they made fun of the way I drew Sonic and I suddenly a week later I got messages on my personal blog mocking me for my post regarding depression thoughts, thinking about suicide and missing my cat who passed away . That really hurt, not helping them was that they constantly told me I drew Sonic out of character, a hobby that helped me cope with my feelings, all this beause I didnt like Forces. I just disabled anon messages for six months. When this year I expressed mild dissapointed with Frontiers gameplay but that I still like the game, I got 4 messages on how wrong I was. I dont get this with the Pokémon fans. It just makes me think there is something fundamentally wrong with the Sonic fanbase.

It's also funny, not "ha ha" funny, but in an ironic way, as a contrast to our experiences, because once people caught onto the fact that a few of us didn't think the game was utter dogshit and it does have a few good points, they proceeded to double down on their cries of "Pontaff apologist." Apparently saying "No, Forces is not the equivalent of '06" is enough to get people on your ass, but it also seems disliking it garners you harassment.

Plus, they were all too happy to dismiss Frontiers criticism as "you just hate Flynn and are using this an excuse to bash him again and not give him a chance" because Flynn Haters must never have independent thoughts, their hatred of him is just a mindless reflex. What does that tell you about how mercurial the environment is? At this point I can't imagine being a part of the in-group, how stressful it would be to keep biting my tongue, stifling my real thoughts, just because at any moment someone could arbitrarily decide they don't like my face that day and proceed to use my "shitty opinions" as an excuse to fling abuse at me. If one of my friends says "I don't like SA2, it's overrated and the story sucks," the most I get is annoyed for a while. Then I move on. There is. I can't exactly pinpoint one cause because it seems to be a melting pot of interrelated issues. It's like a pressure cooker of conformity borne of the desperation not to be seen as cringe by the mainstream - hence all the diatribes about "you guys are making the rest of us look bad," like, who are you performing fandom for? why are you performing fandom? - with anti-games bias stemming from that since the games aren't considered as "deep" as the comics. Unlike the book which improves them, the games are childish, and we wouldn't want to be seen as childish, taking something as inconsistent and puerile like Sonic games too seriously.

Then you add a dose of purity culture, the intense focus on parasocial relationships with ascended fans (I find IDW staff's conduct unprofessional and really skirting the line wrt its fandom), and outright abuse apologism (the stuff with Emi Jones is sickening), and the mixture becomes toxic.

Reblog etiquette

Certain neighborhoods of tumblr develop some really strange rules.

A couple of days ago I learned that there are people who think it's bad etiquette to reblog a post from someone who isn't a mutual.

Today I've seen a rage anon railing at someone for- *checks notes* ...adding onto a post without OP's permission.

I feel like these two belong in the same neighborhood and it's just so damn alien to my own experiences with tumblr. I'd be fascinated to know why these "rules" came about and why they think them necessary. I'm not aware of any other social media site where it's considered bad manners/wrong to share someone else's (credited) content or where you need permission from the OP in order to reply to something.

I do know it's possible on twitter to filter who can interact with a tweet, but that's made to be very obvious and it's encoded so that people who don't follow the OP can't reply. That isn't a feature tumblr has, AFAIK, but if it's something a lot of people want it might be worth mentioning to the WIP staffers. Anon harassing random tumblrites for not following a set of unexpressed personal requirements isn't really the best way to go about things.

One counterpoint I've seen to the "don't add on without permission" rule is that while it's generally acceptable to add on, there are some cases where it isn't. Such as when someone posts a gifset.

The gifmaking community of tumblr (and beyond) has their own set of rules as well, and apparently a lot of frustration with how their creations are used here on tumblr. I know almost nothing about gifmaking other than it's VASTLY labor-intensive, involves a lot of fiddly shit (color correction, lighting, smoothing, etc) and that tumblr's crediting algorithm sucks. Hells, I've had gifs credited to me when all I did was use tumblr's own gif finder. I can imagine how rage-inducing it can be to see your work credited to someone else. I can also understand the frustration of having your gifs, art, or other creative labor used in a way you don't like. But yelling at each and every individual who wrongs you is ineffectual and exhausting. You want change? Tackle The System, not the internet randos.

For now, however, there isn't a lot you can do to stop people from being, well, people. If you don't want people to interact with your posts, STATE THAT. In the post itself, not in your tags, since those will get lost. People aren't mind readers. People frequently aren't tag readers, either. Make your wishes known before you release a post into the wild. Not everyone will listen, but generally speaking, if you make a polite and reasonable request, folks will abide by that.

Also, another (related) thing that made me very very uncomfortable with frequenting jkk spaces is just how obsessed jkkrs are with gay sex...? And if you look at the demography of who runs and frequents these blogs, it's obvious that the majority of it are women, often straight or in straight relationships, which just... makes it more weirder, if you really stop to think about it. I'm not claiming to be this pure person who doesn't even know about sex or believes bts had never experienced it, but I've often seen those jkkrs talking the nastiest things about jkk sex and they paint jm and jk as basically nymphomaniacs (esp. jm for some odd reason). It borders on disgusting when you think about how those people are obsessing over two men's sex lives and happily and enthusiastically talking about it (as if they know what goes on!!). I know they are public personalities and they're kind "subjected" to these stuff, but this still doesn't make it more "understable" when you reflect upon the fact a bunch of grown women think and talk so much about their sex lives, and how they love to turn every single moment into something nasty and horny with no apparent reason for it. And I don't even have to say how this situation worsened after seven and their twisted minds already making it about jkk and taking the lyrics at face value.

Having been in the 🐝 fandom since before season 1, I've seen fandom fights come and go. Despite not often engaging in fandom discourse, the exposure of what is rotten in some parts of the fandom thanks to anons at @waitingforeddyneddy and the latest shadyness thrown at Simone and Simone fans made me do this post for my followers. I am not tagging this because I know these vile people love to go around doxxing and bullying.

Before anyone considers harassing or bullying me as well, I want to clarify that I am not friends with Annie, nor do I follow her. However, I appreciate her blog and some anons for exposing some of the nasties within this fandom. It reinforces my belief that certain JB fans have a superior complex and put this yt man (and themselves as “the better fans”) on a ridiculous high pedestal.

It's disgusting to continuesly see people labeled unfairly, like being called "homophobic" for not stanning JB or “racist”for whatever other reason (mainly because they are a fan of Simone but apparently they are not “right” enough).

I used to think JB and SA fans where a unit but ever since S2 dropped the shadyness from JB fans hasn’t stopped, it has increased.

So I am saying this:

I may not support everything discussed over there, but thanks to that blog’s anons, I've become aware that some Simone fan sites (some whom I used to follow and support) are involved with or even instigating negativity. I hope you feel ashamed of calling her boyfriend ugly or harassing her fellow stans, or make fun of people supporting her just because you don’t like them while also having the audacity to dictate Simone on her own instagram how, when and what to post. What a big ass hypocrite and disgusting person you and your friends are.

To those love to claim that Simone's fans behavior reflect poorly on her and the fandom (I quote “this is why everyone hates SA fans”), you would benefit from taking a moment to reflect on everyone’s individual behavior including your own. Wild how when getting (rightfully) called out for your response, you want to do the “I’m tired why should I have to educate you” line as if there are easy resources and shit for this. Also, this was an ask; how was this anon “derailing” when they asked you a question not on the post itself? Especially when the post in question was literally:

I used to be a mod on a site where we called out whitewashing in fandom spaces, meaning we talked a lot about racism in the media. And when we got tired of repeating ourselves, you know what we did? We made an FAQ. We collected links of other blogs that have discussed this issue, articles and studies, and also previous posts we made addressing it. So if it came up again, guess what all we had to do? Link them to our FAQ/the links we’d collected.

You’re not even doing that. You’re just shaming ppl for not being as woke or knowledgeable or whatever as you (think you) are. It’s so immature and childish, and also insanely unhelpful. I really liked all the reporting you did on this issue; you’ve actually been a big source for me with keeping up with what’s happening. But this just isn’t it. Learn to take the criticism. If you didn’t really have a good answer, open it up to your followers; many already replied with better responses for the anon without even having to be asked. Had you asked, you’d probably get a great thread going that, wait for it, you could link future people asking to! Crazy right?

Activism is work. It’s tiring. Debilitatingly so at times. If you need breaks or rests then take them. But seriously, this response isn’t helpful to ANYONE. And people following you for your coverage on this are doing so because they want to help! I forget the name of that law, but don’t be quick to label an action as malicious when it could just be ignorance. Ignorance can be educated, and in that case, educate!

Can I ask what you suggest we do instead of "vote blue no matter who" (re your recent post)? I'm not trying to start drama and I'm asking in good faith, I just don't ever see actual suggestions on what to do besides "disengage entirely," and I feel like that's not very helpful.

I really need folks to be aware that there is an active and ongoing smear campaign being run against transmascs on this site, and that it is doing real harm to the people involved.

I hesitate to speak on this issue at all, partially because I don't want to add fuel to the fire & partially because I am very, very bad at defending myself in the face of accusations without feeling immensely guilty and fake. I generally try I try to just let my actions speak for themselves instead.

This has escalated to the point that folks are afraid for their livelihoods as well as their physical health, though. @anarchist-luke was nearly kicked out of a community related to his online business because people in it were taking the smear campaign at face value.

Other folks involved are in vulnerable enough situations that they have to regularly ask for financial support here, and this impacts their ability to receive it.

Look: yall do not need to take any of us at face value. I hate the whole "pointing fingers back and forth" thing, trying to parse situations where it's easy to be wrong either way. I'm sure most, if not all of the people involved would also rather not things end up framed that way, too. But I need people to know that this is happening at all, and I need yall to be more critical about what you're taking as fact- and from who.

So let me give you some background.

Over half a year ago now, @bifey created a callout post for @saint-dionysus (now @dead-dyke ) that included mostly fabricated accusations. I was added to a list of "people who support this person and also need to be canceled" when I made this post, which references the callout only because it was the most recent callout I was sent; and censored any identifying information besides (how bifey found the post and decided it was about them, I still don't know.)

As for the accusations in the post: the vast majority of "evidence" is actually from a password-protected nsfw roleplay blog, and shows only consensual interactions with personal kinks (some of them not even belonging to Saint in the first place). This "evidence" exposes the subject's personal sex life to a public forum without consent. Whatever your feelings on the relationship between kink and morality, I feel very strongly that dissecting someone's morality based on private information they did not give you consent to access is highly inappropriate.

What is not taken non-consensually and out of context is the accidental use of a common internet term that doubles as an anti-indigenous slur. Saint responded somewhat defensively when first called out about this, but changed his behavior.

Bifey added several people to their running list of "people who support this" which includes, to my knowledge, exclusively trans people- largely transmascs who speak up about our experiences, which bifey makes very clear on their blog they outright disagree with. Transfems have also been included on their list of "transmisogynists".

I have received months upon months of harassment because of this smear campaign. Between anon asks sent to myself and my friends, anons sent to complete strangers who happen to interact with my posts, callout posts for me, and callout posts for people who happen to interact with me... I ignore it as much as possible, but imagine searching yourself and finding this:

Note the language used here: accusations are broad, vague, and do not come with any examples or proof, claims about how I'm marked on shinigamieyes are not consistent, and words like "well-known" are dropped into accusations to discourage anyone from looking into this themselves.

Since the original callout, @witches-ofcolor has apparently taken over the mantle here. There have been numerous additional callouts, asks, "reminders", etc., all of them apparently just for associating with the "wrong" people.

Yall need to do research yourself when you hear accusations. You need to ask for examples and proof, and you need to investigate these things yourself. (And if you do find proof, consider asking the person about that stuff; did they know that what they said was hurtful? Are they growing and making changes? Find out whether it was an honest mistake, or actual maliciousness.)

And most importantly, ask yourself what this person has to gain by making these claims.

Why is @witches-ofcolor spending so much time and energy on "cancelling" transmascs known for speaking up about transmasc struggles?

Why is she so intent on silencing and ostracizing us? What about the accusations of sex-related "crimes" leveled against trans people- transmascs and transfems included?

What do they stand to gain from this? What benefit comes from ostracizing, isolating, and silencing us?

Someone who genuinely cares about these issues should seek growth and change. Someone who only wants silence will use these "crimes" as a way of guilting and pressuring people into ostracizing the accused.
