Rune Factory is a great farm sim but like all games in its genre simplifies a lot of… things. Whether it’s the fact there’s not a single bathroom in the RF series that you can see or the quizzical state of technology. On the one hand we’re magic-wielding backwater towns and on the other we have airships and flamethrower tanks. What is it? Where even are we??? I’m reaching for concrete foundations from which to build up my own version of this world and left with so many choices I feel like I’m building my own world entirely.

Well. That’s fine.

All this a preamble for me to get into… there’s a fuckton of trees around Kardia and Trampoli. Fall comes around and we don’t have to do any raking? Are you kidding? The only person who gets an excuse is Micah in RF3 farming under a tree and I guess Ares in RF5 with the dragons up in the air… There’s gonna be leaves. Neither town Raguna has lived in are windy enough that he’d escape the wrath of leaves. But! I think he’d enjoy it! It’s busy work, sure- but there’s going to be at least one or two monster helpers with him that play in those leaves. And that brings much needed laughter to our solitary farmer. Because he needs socializing and doesn’t always get much prior to marriage.

Raguna isn’t immune to jumping into leaf piles himself. The guy can be silly, especially when people aren’t there to watch. This can and should be exploited by an ask or someone or something I am asking anyone reading this to take advantage of it and !! You know!! Don’t make me spell it out.

As for the weather? Thriving. I was actually going to make a post about this as I’ve made in the past, that despite being a spring lad and that being his favorite the fall is not too far behind. Summer has its benefits. Winter brings its reprieves. Spring brings the work drive and readiness to develop but … Autumn is a time of settling and savoring. Whether it’s the shift of climate into more temperate ranges or the resurgence of the seasonal tastes that are oh so appealing not just to enjoy but to make for others who enjoy.

Raguna particularly enjoys those soft warm evenings with a hot mug of something spiced to drink. Sitting on the porch and listening to the growing wind whistle through the branches or brush the tips of the plants through the fields. He’s a reflective person and this is something you can do in any season, sure. But it’s the drink that makes it. A drink you can savor best when you feel the chill just start to pull at your skin.

The cooler weather also brings with it warmer clothing. We’ve only seen Raguna in his one outfit (two others if you count the wedding scenes) but I 100% believe he is someone who likes wearing warm hats, scarves, and layers when he’s working outside. Compared to the hot season he’s escaping; this lets the lad actually break into his wardrobe! Okay, not too dramatic. Raguna isn’t stylish by any stretch, but he does have clothes and familiar pieces he likes to wear. Soft wool-lined pieces. Collars. What have you. COMFORT. COMFY.

Also sweaters. Girls wearing sweaters? Maybe that’s my bias.

Oh yeah. And Raguna grows a pumpkin patch to give to people to carve for the season!

He’ll carve some too! They look silly! Not very scary!

And he absolutely adores the markets and festivals.

But he doesn’t do the drinking thing still.

Anything else I’m forgetting? Hm.

Reading Fae tales is life changing!! Are you okay with people commissioning artists to draw your OCs?

Yes! I'm totally okay with it!!

The only thing I'd say as a tiny little caveat is this: If you're going to pay someone else real money that helps people pay bills for art from something you've read, and you haven't done that for the author, maaaybe consider doing the same for the author as well? (Ignore this obviously if you've subscribed or ever used my Ko-Fi account).

I do feel some kind of way when people love something, and then give money to someone else about that thing, but not the person who created the original thing. And that's just my feelings on the matter, and not a requirement or anything, but these stories don't get to exist without folks like yourself, so it's just something I keep in mind.

I hope you get some really awesome art though, and it's awesome that you're wanting to support creative folks! :D

Sometimes I just stare at a wall and think damn.... Wukong was an artist and Macaque was a writer, like, damn i dunoo bro its so...poety ugh, anyway just imagine wukong making paints of the monkies and his friends, the brotherhood and macaque, we only see the paintings of the pilgrim but wukong used those walls so mk could destroy them BUT he still had the silly drawing he made with macaque in a rock.... we also see wukong staring at the drawings of the pilgrims so idk if he still has paintings or drawings of them or even macaque...

(maybe he does,maybe they're just saved among his things, maybe he once tried to paint macaque again but the eye looked wrong so he erased it)

and macaque wrote the play, maybe he tried to write it more than once, maybe his message of the hero to be the bad guy in the scene caused him to distort what happened so much that many interpreted the story differently than what he intended, maybe he once wrote poems about the suffering of the warrior, of his love for the hero, of the cold that he in endure in front of the puppeteer and her smilie puppet

I dunno, but it's wholesome. Especially with Monica and Deana silently watching it unfold, yup cherry on top. Also i found your art on the discord suzerain server. Which makes me happy. So dude, please keep doing it. I love your fanarts and comic my dude. To elaborate a bit on my suzerain content: the game is so tight with its happening that theres barely any downtime, low-risk scene and not a whole lot of emotional moments either — not a criticism, Suzerain is a political sim first; and trying to do complex emotional stuff is a lot of effort word-count wise — which is probably why the vague slice-of-life element of the comic is so interesting to me. Eg, I know Anton cried at the state funeral, and he was also pissed off that Petr betrayed him, but what else is there yk? Same for the comic with Franc. Like, I wish we can spend more time with him and Deana and Monica, and then maybe I'll care about my family more. So the comics in the future will probably also focus on these inbetween moments, because I care so much for these characters its kinda absurd lol.

(It also helps that Suzerain lends itself to the comic medium really well, somehow. Probably just the lack of ingame visual and sparse description is simply begging for some accompanying art.)

Tl;dr: I love small fluff (not fluff as in "cute, wholesome", more "redundant") moments, hence the comics, and I'm very happy that people like that as well :)

On the other hand, there's not much thought behind the tarot beside it's gonna look cool, so I'm glad you're also liking that! Hanged Man Petr is def the fav thing I've drawn as of recent.

thoughts on the best ending slide where the Khans and Followers of the Apocalyspe meet up in the north and create a mighty society?

I think its so interesting because on the basis of FNV it's likely The Followers would not fuck have actually fucked with The Khans.

Like not in a mean way but Followers and the Khans differ on pretty fundamental levels. They already had prior and brief interactions where the Followers taught the Khans how to make a lot of the chems they sell, hoping they'd use it for benevolent purposes. They likely would not be happy or thrilled to know what they were actually using them for or that they were supplying them to the Fiends of all people. Especially if Julie Farkas is still in charge, she reacts very negatively to the idea of working with the Atomic Wrangler on the sole fact they intentionally hook their patrons on substances to keep them coming. Even if the Khans stopped there'd be the question if the Followers would look past this for cooperation.

We also have the fact that the followers are generally pacifists and loathe violence. They have guards as holding such beliefs makes them a vulnerable group but it's still another contrast from the more aggressive Khans. Not even to get started on them siding with the Legion, who will slaughter the Followers if they win (on the condition Caesar is dead) or run them out of the Fort and have a kill-on-sight protocol for them. The rule of fiction is they bonded over being run out or settled their differences but the build-up to the thriving empire is so much more interesting, along with the current state of it as it no doubt had to alter a lot of Khan traditions.

What I find most interesting about this ending is more so the effect the player has on it. If we use the idea the Followers they reconnect with are a different branch, then the Khans only go on to create a legacy and become a powerhouse again like in the first game. If we like to believe the Followers influenced positively then for good too (and not like their Fallout 1 predecessor). It's a clean slate for them in Wyoming but I do question what happened to the people already settled there?

If we take it was the Followers from the Fort, this route only happens if the player pointedly neglects a lot of Follower interaction and begs the question if they were desperate for a protective allegiance. The Followers are already run ragged with demands by the time the Courier gets there and being forced to leave under any of the conditions wouldn't help either. Just because they helped the Khans doesn't mean it was because they went with the same goals, more so it was mutually beneficial, much more on the Khans side because they would have to give significantly less up as the providers in this scenario.

Ultimately I think it's interesting no matter what because I like to imagine the turmoil and beef they had before cooperation. The Followers are seen as peace-loving doctor hippies by a lot of the Mojave and NCR but they are never truly hated. They just suck at actually forming alliances. To where the Khans' history and reputation are a big reason why they had to side with the Legion for revenge on the NCR despite the NCR not being loved either. To have to work with a group that previously sided with the faction that wanted you dead or just in general went against what you stood for is fascinating from a story standpoint. The fact that they prospered is another!

It's also interesting as this is treated as a much better thing for the Great Khans as it only appears on their ending slide and not the Follower's.

Wow this might be the first time without Tomorrow by Together dominating this.

That said Yuta's album is dominating and with good reason! Its only been a few days but it has a hold on me. Prisoner is my favorite so far and the Butterfly remix is growing on me but that could change. Last Song is great too, really the whole album s magnificent, Yuta really excels in the rock genre and its a crime we've been deprived of seeing him in his element before now.

Ruin by Issac Hong is always a fav but I didn't expect to see it.

fin! All the tracks by fin are the same pirate themed ep called Lost at Sea that I highly recommend. Its one of the those albums where when you hear one song you have to drop everything and listen to the whole thing, or at least I do. Ship in Bottle is probably the most exciting track though.

     Consider: Artemis and El taking a nap together in the Glass Eye and Adam putting a blanket over them. 🥺💜

     Their banter had become an ordinary sight within the safe-house,   a complete shift from the silence he had been forced to grow accustomed to until it became his only comfort.   While he tends to favor that false peace of mind at times,   he finds their presence rather pleasant,   with all the arguing   &.   the hasty shuffle of feet that would interrupt his work and force him out of his own mind.   It marked his days as well,   when morning and night would blend altogether and days pass like an unending stretch of long hours,   he had begun to recognize the start of one when Artemis would appear to pester either of them,   [   the only one who slept properly amongst them,   he hopes that never changes.   ]   As the night bleeds into a new dawn,   he remains by his worktable deep in repairs,   only stopping to ask Latte to pour him another coffee,   unsure how many he had by now,   never feeling the effect but having it regardless.   Hours pass and he's only aware of the sun having fully risen now at the distinct voices from a distance,   it's not long until Elektra comes passing through,   a look of irritation upon features,   followed by Artemis trailing behind her,   talking away.   Whatever it is,   she must have refused Artemis something and her only tactic was to whine endlessly about it,   following her until she has no choice but to give in,   a difficult task only she can achieve.

  They do this a number of times,   walking to and fro as Elektra tried to go about her daily tasks.   Adam doesn't butt in,   he finds it rather amusing,   like a little duckling refusing to leave her mother.   His only role here was to steer Artemis away from bumping into anything or carrying his tools   &.   coffee over his head so she can pass by safely.   Eventually,   all the stubborn running comes to an end as Elektra boards the Glass eye,   along with Artemis,   still persistent when all the odds were against her.   He could hear them bickering still from where he was,   not noticing how it would gradually quiet down when he lost himself back to his work.   Increased stiffness in bones finally force him to step away,   wanting to stretch his legs for some time before he has to resume what he was doing.   It's then that he realizes how quiet it had been,   not uncomfortable for him yet strange when the two were here.

  Curious,   he goes in to check on them,   looking into the kitchen first as it was their usual area to talk and relax at least once a day.   They weren't there however,   that means Elektra's room is where he should look next.   A knock and he peeks in through the door when he didn't receive an answer for a good few minutes.   As expected,   they were inside,   in a deep sleep that even Elektra can't be stirred from.   The sight brings a small smile to his lips,   leaning against the door frame as he watched them a moment,   he can note how Elektra's expression relaxes in sleep when she's most comfortable while Artemis was safe in her arms,   nestled close to her in a protective hold.         ❛❛   You finally worn each other out,   huh ?   ❜❜        a low chuckle and then he walks in close to where they were.   He pulls a blanket from her hoard to cover them both,   and draping another just on Elektra's side so she doesn't get cold and Artemis wouldn't melt with how warm the Glass eye already is.   A kiss is pressed to both their foreheads,   silently wishing them a good sleep before he departs.

So I was thinking a t4t couple, the boyfriend's pregnant with twins and they organise a home birth, as he labours the girlfriend feels kind of jealous about his situation and decides to share it with him as he pushes out their first baby. After the first one is out his belly deflates and her belly magically swells up, now the girlfriend has to give birth to the twin with her boyfriend by her side supporting her. Fir her birth you can do whatever you want it can be anal, she can magically develop a vagina etc.

oooooooo magical pregnancies are my jam as well as transference pregnancy. never thought about that happening during labor though what an interesting thought! i do also love the idea of one or both of the couple being a witch or magic user already so maybe the girlfriend is a powerful witch!

they've both been so excited for their babies coming and getting to prepare for everything is making it feel real to them. they'll have two little nuggets to take care of that are products of their love. how amazing is that?

though as her boyfriend starts to push there is that little sliver of jealousy that she can't be the one giving him children. it's minute and shouldn't have such a hold on her but as her boyfriend's bulging around the head she casts a spell. there's an intense tingling first that turns painful—a new uterus and vagina in such a short time is never recommended though there was no turning back now it's started. her knees buckle as the pain climaxes, the only thing keeping her grounded was her boyfriend's hand in her own and hearing him moan through another contraction. as he finally crowns she feels her body change.

the swelling is startling. never before had she felt the stretching sensation in her abdomen or feel the heavy weight of a child filled womb before this moment. her free hand makes work on unbuttoning her pants so the orb could freely distended further. it was miraculous watching his bump deflate while her own ballooned. his eyes, bleary and unfocused look at his girlfriend's stomach with interest. there is a short reprieve from pushing where he tugs her shirt up to watch its growth. it's the most beautiful thing either has seen.

he's finally crowned and her bump finishing the last spurts of growth she tries to help with her boyfriend's birth. now much more cumbersome it's difficult to move fast and standing was not exactly an option without help. she decides to crawl to her boyfriend's lower half just in time to catch their first born who is covered in gunko but already beautiful in her eyes. she cleans out their mouth—heart clenching at the whimpering mewl—before cradling them in one arm. she's barely able to hoist herself up with the extreme weight change and wobbly legs from having been on the floor for so long but she's got basic magic to help her. their baby is place in her boyfriend's waiting arms as he inspects them for counting all fingers, toes, and to memorize their face. her heart melts at the display.

it wasn't long after the after birth and settling into bed with their baby between them that she felt the first contraction. it was only the beginning—she was going back to the start so they were in for the long haul. the twin was settled lower now, making her overtaxed skin tender with each rolling kick. her clothes had long since disappeared when her temperature spike from a hit flash. though walking around the house naked wouldn't be her first she threw on some of her boyfriend's boxers that hugged her hip (the must have widened during her rapid expansion to accommodate the growing fetus) and a nightgown that left nothing to the imagination. if she was going to go through the works she was going to keep her mind busy with something.

she found herself cleaning up her potion station when the contractions really amped up. her muscles already ached from the growth but with each cramp that forced them into a vice-like grip had her whimpering or groaning in discomfort. when she had enough she slowly waddled—had the child always been right in her pelvis?—back into the room to get comfortable. her boyfriend was up changing their first newborn when she stopped at the door, leaning against the door jam with her arms cradling the heavy bump during another rough contraction. everything hurt and she wanted nothing more than to use her magic to ebb the effects though something in the back of her mind wanted her to remember this. the spell may be only temporary but there could be something that made this possible—gave her the ability to carry children for her partner as well. she wanted to do that. she wanted to experience the nine months of development and see how proud her boyfriend was seeing her swollen with his children. she thought that single idea made her wet but the puddling of water at her feet was the indicator that it was something very different.

another two hours passed as she finally crowned, the pain of it all solidifying her desire to be a mother for more children, when the plan came spilling out. she went on about how he should take a break—let her carry the next kid (or six) while he gets to be the one taking care of his pregnant girlfriend and chasing after the kids. he loves the idea more than she expected. he does tease that they'll need to be safe so there aren't surprises along the way but she can hear the desire for that to happen. she's ready for it all. with one final push and that satisfying 'pop' the head is out! her head falls back against the pillow while her body and boyfriend guide the babe out then the room is again filled with mewling cries. she feels a heavy weight in her arms to see that perfect little face scrunched up in anger at being in this new cold place. she pulls down the neck of her nightgown so the baby could lay on her chest to get warm, tears flowing freely as they settle immediately against her. she knows she'll need to take tinctures and massage her breasts to encourage milk for the twins. it was all worth it. everything from the painful birth to feeling her body expanding for the baby was the most powerful feeling she ever felt. she wanted to feel it again and again for as long as she was able to
