Honey If I'm Not/If You're Gonna - Canon-adjacent Wolfstar reunion AU set in Burlington. Set this in one of my favorite places and wrote it while getting engaged and married, and a it's been an unexpected path to a lot of wonderful friendships <3

Snow in June - Modern magical American texting strangers to lovers Wolfstar AU with hurt/comfort, a Jily wedding, James as a wegmans stan, supportive Dorlene and magical time capsule bubbles? This one's hard to categorize, but I really enjoyed writing it. Also set in one of my favorite places.

Better in the Morning - Bring back Black, fix-it one shot set in HBP. Truly this one had been bouncing around in my head since about 2004 and it's been really meaningful to me that a lot of readers have connected with it.

Forecasting with @rottendiary - Perciver snowed in one shot. Listen - Percy is a weather man. Oliver is a sports caster. In Buffalo, NY, in a snowstorm. It actually makes so much sense when you think about it.

Breeze (Move Me) - Drarry one shot inspired by Hozier's Movement and summer days in Provincetown. My first Drarry and most E E-rated fic. They are idiots and I adore them.

What are your favorite ttte ships?

Ohh that's the question that I was waiting for, since I'm a multishipper I have a lot of my favorite ttte ships:

The ships in my Au:

Thomas x Rosie: this is my first ever favorite ship, when I saw these two intracred many times, I started to ship them bc they look very adorable and chummy together, and I really like the blue and pink/red dynamic sm.

James x Emily: this is literally a brain rot for me, these two in my opinion are the best, because I see how many times James flirts with Emily or being kind to her, especially in the miller era, and back there, this ship is 100% canon.

Gordon x Rebecca: this is the recent canon ship in the fandom, I love this ship because Gordon finally found someone who understands him and his nature, not like others, and I really love their ship name "Gorbecca"

Duck x Oliver: believe me or not, but in my view, this ship is perfection, althought they look too similar and had builed by the same person, I just believe in the fanmade episodes and there's a lot of signs proof that they like echother

Toby x Henrietta: the only straight ship in the fandom, they absolutely work very well and that's the opinion of anyone who thinks that

Diesel x Mavis: I don't ship them much but they are also cute, Diesel is a bad guy and likes to cause a lot of disasters, while Mavis is the one who tries to warn him to stop doing all the nonsense, but anyway I ship them

My favorite (Secret) ships:

James x Edward: they really are the cutest pairs, I really love their dynamic and how wholesome they are, and if I didn't headcanon them as brothers and I didn't have a massive crush, I'll let them being a gay couple

Donald x Duck: this ship is so fucking cute, they really make me cry of their cuteness, and I really love their episode "Donald's Duck", but we didn't have a lot of intractions of them in the CGI and that's very sad.

Douglas x Oliver: the same thing we can say about them, CUTENESS AHHH, and I love how Douglas saved Oliver from being scraped and I wish that they intracted a lot in the CGI too

Percy x Diesel 10: Uhm sorry if you don't like this one but they're not bad, in the movie "Day of the diesels" Diesel 10 shows a lot of tenderness and respect to Percy, and Percy was blushing, but he didn't know that Diesel 10 was using him to seize the steam works, and Percy was such an idiot, but their first moments are so wholesome

Gordon x Henry: these are also great and fit echother, but the problem is I headcanon them as relatives but Idgaf, I still ship them

Gordon x James: This is without a doubt the cutest ship for me. We notice that their relationship is very wonderful and no one insults the other, but it is rare to find

Emily x Caitlin: ohh this is a minor ship, they work very well tbh, Emily is being in love with another female engine is something new for her, and please don't attack me because it's just my opinion that's all

Day 27: A Muggle AU Fic

Of Bookshelves and Baby Carriers by poppunkpadfoot (Wolfstar, T, 11.8k)

The customer standing in front of him is quite possibly the most beautiful man Remus has ever seen. Like, he looks like a model or something. He has long, black hair, flattened by water, and just the slightest amount of scruff on his face, and… And a baby strapped to his chest. Okay.

This fic is cute AF! 😍 Doing a reread of this again made me squee about how Remus is such a precious cinnamon roll who needs more hugs, Harry is adorable, and Sirius' flirting is hilarious. So much flangst, this is a bookshop fic, and 1000% a pick-me-up if you need something to brighten your day. A+++ aka go read this ASAP!

Day 28: An Under-Rated Fic

Chimera by Literallyliterary (Flintbell, E, 11.5k)

Years after Hogwarts, years after the war, Katie Bell finds herself traded from the Harpies to the Tornados and into the hands of team captain Marcus Flint. It’s a lot easier to ignore a childhood crush when you have to take orders from him, right? …Right??

I always love a good Quidditch fic, and this one seriously delivers, especially with all the UST built up from Hogwarts days. The way Marcus and Katie push each other's buttons but are clearly attracted to each other is amazing, and there are just so many Feelings waiting to spill out, especially after they get physical. It's spicy, it's got that fiery Gryffindor-Slytherin relationship dynamic we all love, the mutual pining is for real, and the competitive streak is so alive. For the game, for a chance, and yeah, this was what really solidified my love for this rare pair when I first discovered them. Def give this a shot if you'd like to dip into new ships!

Day 29: A Post-Canon Fic

Winter, 1999. Harry thought going to New York would help him get his head on straight, but all he has to show for it are sore feet and a fridge full of takeaway containers. And now he’s homesick on top of everything else. It doesn’t help that his mysterious neighbour in 2C keeps cooking dishes that remind Harry of home and all the people he lost or left behind.

I adore fics that include anything senses or food related. And gosh, this one with the angst and food as a love language is gorgeous. The small details really makes this a story I can visually see. Also, Draco cooks! 'Nuff said. And the way Harry and Draco gradually fall in love is so heartwarming. It's on their own terms, in a different country. Love, love, love. Definitely a must-read for a sleepy or rainy day.

Day 31: A Fav Amongst Favs

Drowned Boy by bmouse (Marcus/Percy/Oliver, M, 4k)

Oliver wants to drown himself. Percy wants to study, but he's willing to be distracted. Marcus probably wants trouble, but it's hard to tell.

Sooo, PoA is my 2nd fav HP book, and any references to that Quidditch game where Oliver tries drowning himself in the shower or missing moments right after are gold. Marcus and Oliver banter at each other as usual, but then Percy gets tangled in their chaos, and it kind of escalates. They're all boys with hormones, and yeah. 😜 This fic is so well written where you can see the attraction between each of them, and the dynamics work. *chef's kiss* (And since I genuinely like to delve into character studies for Marcus, Percy and Oliver, this was the fic convinced me that they're an awesome triad. Hell yeah.)

Hi, I saw your recent post and from one Percy enjoyer to the other, I recommend:

A Study of Resonance by mymovingfingerwrites on ao3 (rated M) (warning for graphic depictions of violence)—— in which Percy travels back in time and tries to defeat the dark lord.

This story expands so much on the magical elements from the books, it’s amazing. And Percy is such a nerd for magic. Though, this Percy is very much morally gray and makes some questionable decisions, he is still compelling and makes you still root for him. He grows as a person over this 500k+ (!) word fanfic and is just so human, i weep.

I hope you enjoy this story as much as I do if you haven’t read it already. Anyways, what are your favorite Percy-Weasley centric fics overall?

I've had several people recommend that fic to me! I started reading it a while ago, but I stopped (because of things going on in my personal life), so I'll have to go back to it! 🙂

To preface this, I love AUs (especially more obscure ones); I just find them really fun and enjoyable. So be warned that a lot of my favorite Percy stories are not necessarily realistic or in-character!

Also, please make sure you look at the warnings/tags if you are going to read any of these stories!

I'm sure there's more, but some of my other favorites are:

Treat You by BoiJustLetMeBe (Percy & Charlie, Rated G) --- An adorable story where Charlie takes Percy on a fake date to show him how his future boyfriend should treat him.

At least he has great abs by Irisen (Percy x Oliver, Rated T) --- Muggle AU where Percy finds out from the internet that Oliver (a famous athlete) is his soulmate. It's got a lot of the text and social media format instead of a traditional story format, but it's pretty funny!

Sexetera, Ad infinitum by nqdonne (Percy x Everyone, Percy x Harry, Rated E) --- Percy gets stuck in a groundhog day situation and decides to spend his time sleeping with basically everyone. There's some plot and fluff at the end though.

tears like shooting stars by starsailing (Percy x Oliver, Rated T) --- A very sweet, mermaid Percy AU where Oliver meets Percy when he almost drowns in the Black Lake.

Put Your Arms Around Me (And I'm Home) by MoonytheMarauder1 (Percy x Oliver, Rated T) --- Muggle AU where Percy is blind, Oliver becomes his roommate, and there's some great interactions between Percy & the Weasleys.

A Journey Home by edelweissmar (Percy x Oliver, Rated T) --- A Post-canon story where Oliver became disabled in the final battle. The author's summary explains it well: "Or, in which Oliver performs illegal magic on his broom and Percy, instead of having him arrested, falls in love"

Price of Wisdom by james, MadPoetess (Percy x Multiple, Rated M) --- Percy works at a sex club, has to stand up to Lucius Malfoy to protect Ron, and has some awesome interactions with all the Weasleys.

A Matter of Perspective (Through the Veil) by flowergrown (Gen, Rated T) --- Percy can see ghosts. The story includes Regulus & Ariana, as well as Percy's friendships with Oliver, Marcus, and Penelope.

So Sane It's Driving Me Crazy by tryslora (Percy x Marcus, Rated E) --- Percy is spending Christmas Eve alone for the first time, but he runs into Marcus, which leads to some lovely interactions and steamy sex.

off the top of my head, other than you, i'm not sure i've read much perciver so this is a really rare pair for me! interestingly enough, i think i see flintwood around more than perciver.

anyway, i really liked this one -- look at me, i'm burning up by renaissance (4k, T) - The first tentative overtures, as Percy comes to terms with the person he is on the other side of the War. cackling at the author's note, "back on my otp bullshit after forever years away" is always a green flag to me, a good sign i can settle in and i will be well fed! this checked tons of boxes i knew i had (vignettes, beautiful scene setting, the unpacking of postwar trauma and how that's Not That Easy) and a bunch i didn't know i did (penny & percy friendship! the dynamics in that oliver/percy first re-meeting!). love the author's light touch, with the humor and sweet open ending.

also enjoyed the quidditch smut in you had time by mixtapestar (13k E) and After The Game by copperbadge (2k, M), the unrequited pining in Familiar by Mireille (300, G) and the taking-the-relationship-to-the-next-step in be my stone (700, G) - got me with the tags Family Issues, (not on Percy's side), (for once). mobile vulgus by oxymoronic (5k, M) and Can't Get All the Dirt Off of Me by tryslora (200, M) were interesting takes on a dark postwar au & OCD percy respectively.

all the perciver fic gave me scorbus vibes, actually? very grounded in hogwarts, and there is a little bit of conflict -- sometimes it's internal, mostly it's external -- but you know it's going to be a happy ending because the two have each other's backs. on that note, i also really liked the growing-up-together in Hold On by gonergone (5k, G), very classic friends-to-lovers in which both of them are adorable.

(Like, imagine the episode where Gordon drags Thomas behind the express, but instead Thomas isn't coupled up and Gordon isn't trying to teach him a lesson, Thomas is just running behind the express as fast as he can because he wants to be like Gordon, and Gordon doesn't realise until Thomas catches up at a station)

Not a question but I have a feeling that during the time before Sandy got to big to be picked up, if someone picked her up and she wasn't expecting it she would probably squeak (based off my cat sounding like a little squeaky toy if I pick her up and she wasn't expecting it)

EXCITED STIMMMING YESSSSSSS I LOVE TALKING THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!! Gonna take em' out section by section.

General questions: 1.) Mmmm that's rlly hard to decide on. I love a lot of them equally. I miiight say Children of Sodor? Purely bc AEG is a very big comfort show for me, I love the kiddos a lot, and I love my versions even more. 2.) Out of the group...either Gordon or Kana. COS!Gordon is beloved to me as the gentle old father he is, and Kana is just my favorite AEG in general, so I think about her a lot in my au content.

Monster AU questions: 1.) I'd say none of them are particularly hoarders. Mainly because they don't have anything they'd really want. They are enamored by shiny objects but once they're snapped out of it they don't really care too much. They've got plenty of water, coal, diesel fuel and such, so they're not hoarders of fuel either. The closest you could get would be yard leaders like Gordon, who sometimes would push their "packs" together and try to keep them in one spot because they were worried about losing any of them. They just didn't want any harm to come to their fellow engines and the leaders have particularly strong urges to guard everyone, Gordon was especially bad for it. 2.) I try to include everyone, so yes, Gator would be here too :) Seeing as I'm doing this to pretty much EVERY engine, I think it'd be unfair to leave Gator out of the fun. Adding onto that, despite being a steam engine, I think it'd be fun if he actually resembled an alligator instead of being a fluffy beast. Mainly because hey why not, and also c'mon, his nickname is Gator!! 3.) I think a lot of the engines would take advantage of the ability of getting to chill in water. As long as it's not super deep and they aren't doing it for too long, they can actually swim a bit. And in shallow waters they can just relax and cool off in warmer weather, they all enjoy it quite a bit.

Children of Sodor questions: 1.) The kids absolutely have always been trying to copy the adults. They have basic "instinct" to do jobs, but they don't know how to do things exactly, so they were looking to the older machines to learn how to do what they wanted to so badly. Carly was swinging her hook when Cranky would in an attempt to load cars the way he did, Thomas would beg Annie and Clarabelle to let him pull them so that he could pull a passenger train like Gordon (which he eventually started doing for real!), so on and so forth. 2.) Sandy did get very surprised the first little while, but eventually she got fully unbothered, mainly because Carly was far faster so she would lift Sandy and just carry her along all the time. 3.) Bruno likes to stick to routine and schedule, and he's usually with Diesel or Thomas if he's working, so he's not on the same branch line as Oliver and Toad all that often. He's met Toad before, and he likes him a lot, he's a very polite brake van and they have that same natural solidarity that all rolling stock of the same type feel. 4.) Duck thinks the kids are all very lovely! He'd heard about them when they first arrived, but didn't actually meet them until a few months later. He's not as intensely involved with their lives as some others are but he doesn't mind them at all, he's friendly towards them and will chat with them if they cross paths. Sort of similar to how Edward is with them, but Duck isn't as involved as Edward. 5.) Oliver is actually also a kid! Duck considers him his little brother, and Oliver is the only kid that Duck is almost constantly around. He likes hanging out with the other kids, Percy most of all, but finds himself more comfortable with the older engines. Namely Duck, Douglas, and Edward. 6.) Based off of my headcanon that Donald and Douglas are both really great with human kids, they're FANASTIC with machine kids. They're like the really fun uncles to the Tidmouth kids, if they get the chance to they're going to be spending every second they can with the kids, especially during the wintertime! They wanted to be as involved with the kids' lives as they could and were very present at the sheds when Kana and Nia had each first arrived so that they could make sure the overseas additions were settling in okay. The twins actually taught the young engines to clear snow!

On The Horizon questions: 1.) Magic from a natural born witch works pretty much anywhere, and in canon it does work in the human realm, though I feel I should point out that Sodor and Shining Time both are completely different from the "human realm" that Luna (aka Luz, I finally decided on the new names) came from. But yes, Wendy (aka Willow!) does indeed have magic! She didn't figure it out for a long while as there wasn't anything that really prompted her to do so and for many years of her life she fully believed she was human. The first time it happened was when she was 12 and it was a complete accident, one of her machine siblings had startled her and she just swung her arm around, managing to somehow summon a pretty large thorny vine from the ground. Wendy panicked and they ended up calling Hunter and MC over to investigate, and during that investigation Hunter finally confessed that he'd thought Wendy was a witch from the day he'd first seen her. He then sat down with Wendy and explained to her the very few things he did remember about wild magic, coaching her with his limited knowledge so that she could start training her powers. Her mother and all of her other loved ones were all quite shocked by this fact, but they didn't force Wendy to hide her magic just like the Hatt family didn't hide Oscar (Aka King) from the world. 2.) Speaking of the little guy! The rest of the island was pretty surprised by Oscar's existence. Topham had kept him hidden for the first few months, but he didn't want to keep the little guy cooped up forever, seeing as Oscar's clearly just as intelligent as any other kid and forcing him to hide for his whole life would be cruel and impossible. He did indeed startle many upon first meetings, but everyone adjusted and pretty soon Oscar was out among other kids his age with barely any issue. He did face a bit of bullying due to his strange appearance and clearly being nonhuman, but he has family and some friends who'd stand up for him and fix those problems. 3.) Hunter met Lady about 2 months after he'd been properly adopted by Mr. Conductor, actually! Seeing as the kid was already from a different magical world and he was healing from some rough times, MC thought it'd be a good idea to introduce the kid to Lady. Lady was a very welcome change of pace, she was calm and easy going and being an engine meant she didn't move that much and her facial expressions were far easier for him to read. Her kind voice and demeanor were really soothing to Hunter and him meeting her proved to benefit him greatly. 4.) Originally, I'd had the idea for Belos to go after Hunter. But then I thought about it. Belos, in the past, would kill the grimwalkers for the tiniest betrayals and then just start over with a new one like nothing happened...so I came up with a different plan. At first when Hunter was reported missing, Belos asked the coven to keep an eye out and listen to gossip. Interview residents of the isles. After a week of that, with no sign, he sent scouts to actively search for him. After a week of that? Belos sighed, shrugged, cut his losses, and cooked up a new grimwalker. This one's hair is a bit long and messy, but he looks enough like Caleb that he'll do. And this time, Belos is going to ensure this golden guard won't be going anywhere.

Ok Eri since you asked very nicely I will go ahead and let you hear on my ramblings on both Tatiana and Kliff :3

We'll start off with Tatiana first

First Impression: I knew she was the final boss of the game but I had no idea that I would come to enjoy her as a character and eventually simp for her like the bisexual I am. Tatiana is indeed a queen <3

Impression Now: She's one of my favorite characters and I absolutely adore her character. She's the icon, she's the legend, and she's the moment

Favorite Moment: After her boss fight when she goes off on Mayday, I could feel how much truth her words were, especially when she said "Never have heroes honey, believe me you'll have fewer disappointments." I honestly related to that sentence so hard due to past experiences-

Idea for a Story: This mainly involves my OFA AU but Tatiana and her oldest daughter Titanium having a heart to heart when Tatiana finds out her daughter is literally overworking herself being the current CEO of NSR so she has to tell her it's ok to ask for help and to take a break. Just thinking about this idea makes my mind go brrr-

Unpopular Opinon: I'm not sure if this counts as unpopular but I really wish we could've had more lore about the Goolings and Tatiana's past, it would've been so much more intriguing-

Favorite Relationship: Tatiana being like a mentor to Mayday is something that always makes my heart flutter. Mayday showing how much she can play on Tatiana's old guitar that she gave her while Tatiana just smiles like a proud parent. Of course I also love shipping Tatiana with my NSR sona Olive it's a match literally made in heaven like yivdugdefuyvcbdfuyfva- the first time they meet is after the Music Revolution and the Garden of Thorns comes to town and right away gets a lot of attention that NSR also gets wind of them. They get invited to the NSR Tower to discuss collaborations but when Tatiana arrives at her office to meet them she's quick to notice that one of the band members is missing. Percy (lead singer) tells Tatiana that the drummer went to go grab some coffees and right when Tatiana says they can start without her, Olive comes in through the door with said coffees, not giving any mind that she's late and Tatiana notices just how tall Olive is-

Favorite Headcanon: Trans and Lesbian Tatiana. Being Kul Fyra also inspired a lot of LGBT+ people to be themselves, especially the fans.

And now it's time for Kliff and his moment to shine >:)

First Impression: When I saw him for the first time my heart skipped a bit, Kliff was the most cutest ginger I ever saw in my lifetime and I wanted to hold hands with him. I was a bit disappointed that he was a twist villain at first but then I realized he could still be redeemed if I put my mind to it via fan fiction lol

Impression Now: He could've taken a different approach in an attempt to get closure instead of trying to use a falling satellite, but at the end of the day Kliff is a stinky man and I love him.

Favorite Moment: When he first shows up in the game, Kliff is not only a cute ginger but he's also very helpful. His Kliffnotes on the NSR Artists are also very interesting and if you look closely there could be lore.

Idea for a Story: I need to update it but I'm working on a fanfic where Kliff does apologize to everyone for his actions and the Queen herself aka my oc Artemis helps him out, and while they're doing that they're also falling in love with each other because yes. Another idea which involves my OFA AU again is after the stunt Orion pulls with hacking into a satellite and blasting Burning Constellation's music on all technical platforms, Kliff is very proud of his daughter in a sense like "THAT'S MY GIRL :D " before his wife/Artemis gives him a look and Kliff goes "I mean Orion you can't be doing that- (I'm still proud of you though hack those satellites like I taught you >:D)"

Unpopular Opinon: I feel that there are some people that kind of go a bit too far with hating Kliff and I've come across fanfics where people write Kliff as an irredeemable character/a literal psychopath and I'm like ??? Can y'all chill??? I get that he's a bad person but he's not that evil-

Favorite Relationship: I would very interested to explore the concept of Kliff in his younger days and his relationship with Kul Fyra. Of course there's also me shipping Kliff with Artemis which is also a match made in heaven they're like so adorable Imma cry-

Favorite Headcanon: Kliff figuring out he's bisexual since back in the day he would flirt with other Goolings fans which were both men and women. Also DILF Kliff and him and Artemis going to every concert that their kids perform (Orion and her band Burning Constellation and Prince Astral's concerts with Linus because violin and piano duets are my favorite things in the world-)

Generally speaking, if I like a pairing enough to write and post a fic for it, it's probably one of my favourites! So it's no surprise that AshEiji is probably top of my list

It's just - the certainty with which Ash thinks he could never be loved and the surety that Eiji responds that he deserves it. It's the mutual love and trust, even from separate worlds.

SherLiam has that as well, but, like, turn the raw sexual attraction up to 100. The flirting, the 'rivalry' (but not really lmaoo), the being the only ones who truly understand each other.

SoRiku is also a big one. The best friends to lovers, the trust, the fact that every disney couple reminds Sora of him and Riku. Sora holding Riku's hand and crying when they're reunited in 2. All of Dream Drop Distance. They're in love and they don't even know it.

I'm generally not a big shipper when it comes to novels, because I know that most pairings are pretty inevitable, especially in YA fiction. (I guess it's because it's often a side plot that you're expecting.) But lately I've greatly enjoyed Luc/Oliver from Boyfriend Material and I ADORE Monty and Percy from the Gentleman's Guide Trilogy. I think they can all be summed up with 'idiots in love.'

The new Lockwood and Co show on Netflix also reminded me of how much I liked Lucy and Lockwood in the books. It is an intensely slow will they/won't they dynamic - very Rose and 10 from Dr Who. The last book had so many "I need to tell you something," moments, but the frustration was so good! It looks like the show is doing a really good job of them as well, so definitely watch it now that it's out!!

I'm aware this is a very m/m heavy list, lol. Some w/w books I've enjoyed at 'Last Night at the Telegraph Club' and 'Georgia, Peaches and other Forbidden Fruit.' As well as Lumity, of course

we go home go sleep. cc wakes up in the middle of the night to see a desaturated blue jester at the window. we sleep in and marie leaves smoothies out for us but her and her children do not seem to be home. two kidu (kileon independant detectives unit) guards knock on the door and codos and damona hide while cc answers the door (harry and turf are still sleeping upstairs) they ask somethin about have you seen people with unnatural blue colored limbs and then leave. we head out on that quest the tci assigned us and we meet two old owlens on their farm and oh my god they are adorable theyre an old married couple and augh they offer to make us dinner when we get back from the lake even if we dont successfully unblock the water theyre just really sweet old people i love them. on the path were on we can ALL see a black and white jester writhing on the ground pretty fucked up and then it dies and fizzles away. we come up to a dam that was causing the water problem and make a bunch of percy jackson style dam puns before a guard fuckin disappears in the woods and then right after him a purple jester (only cc can see) comes out. says he is ferdinand and that "everything will make sense in due time" also he apparently looks kinda like ccs brother. we find a pipe in the ground and hear a voice through it and oh my god we spent like 30 full minutes fucking with this guy he was like "get off the scanner you arent supposed to be here" and we just kept stepping on and off and on and off god he hates us anyways we burn down the dam and fix the water issue. the pipe guys name is oliver and hes apparently the old owl peoples son. the woman old owl gives us cookies and the man old owl says he loves us and we all awwww and go on our way. murmur asks us to pick up a sword for her so we do AND WE GET IT FROM ANOTHER BOAT MAN-LIKE DUDE and an emo girl but boat man :) then we go back to tci headquarters and citrine and murmur are sitting with a guy who "stares sadly at the empty tables and chairs..." and i spend about 5 minutes going DIRK YOU FUCKIN DIDNT YOU DID NOT YOU DID NOT DO WHAT I THINK YOU DID anyways motherfucking marius hands us a letter they found on a guard that is "incomplete" but codos and damona can read all of it because blue and it saysssss "Goodevening bark, Thank you for your last letter, It seems that he has gotten closer to finding the Aersk site, although it runs in his veins, he won't believe a trail has gone cold until there's true evidence. I require you shut down the operation in June. Move the rig to somewhere closer, possibly the scattered pine? If you fail to follow i will be forced to take stronger methods, if you wish to pursue life I recommend you move fast. Wouldn't want to end up like Theriot, would you? Yours truly, Emperor Rylefion" which is hm. we take it and head back to maries where she says theres a letter for us and it is from june and is said to be from eivas. the letter inside is very much not in eivas's handwriting though and basically says "come back to june as soon as you can. emperors guards found where we were. eivas is in bad shape." and harry says its in drygon (bartender lady) handwriting. we have turf use a message spell to contact ollie and we go on the boat and timeskip back to june. we walk in and the place is like...messed up. we go up to eivas and theriots room and eivas is a MESS also doesnt have a shirt on for this whole conversation. hes basically like "a lot of people died everyone else is either moved to a different spot or captured. theriot..." and he kinda cuts off at theriots name so we all are like. "theriot got taken??" and we go down to turf and have him use another message spell to contact theriot (damona pulls out eivas's wallet to show turf what he looks like and codos gives like a general description of how he acts) and we message him like "hey. what the fuck happened? are you safe? where are you? were going to find you" and he responds pretty much immediately and is like "im safe. dont come looking for me. im were i belong" AND THATS WHERE WE FUCKING ENDED IM SOOOO

Hi CBG! Oh gods, I've been meaning to answer this for a while, so now is better than never! I'm glad you're enjoying these little one shots for this whole arc (which will have something added to it later this year since I have 1-2 one shots in progress already). 1: What inspired you to write the fic this way? Where do I even start? You know, when I wanted to get back into writing again in 2020, I need something to motivate me so I thought I’d pick up a prompt table from rarepair_shorts to do that. I had already been drawing Perciver for a while, and I had binge-read everything that existed. But I wanted more content with missing moments and scenes from Percy’s PoV and Oliver’s PoV that loosely followed canon. So, I decided to go make that myself, I guess? I have no chill and I'm self-indulgent. 😂 Rather than writing a bunch of random one shots, I adapted the prompt table as my foundation to make a world where Percy and Oliver are best friends, go through the ups and downs of growing up, break apart and then reunite. Because those are all normal things that happen in life. And they're human. When I was outlining how each prompt would inspire something for a fic, I ended up with a really big doc that became my blueprints for this series. I also decided to say screw it with the "rules," and I've written what I have so far out of order and I've been updating that way too. A lot of my writing ends up being influenced by what I can provide at a given moment, and sometimes, chronological order doesn't always work (and can hinder the creative juices). When I finally posted up Little did I know in May 2021 (because yeah, it took a year to finish, edit and have the bravery to post something I wrote after not having done that in a looonggg time), I had low expectations. And I knew there wasn't nearly as much traction for rare pairs as there are for common ships. But I'm grateful I wrote something for myself, and I'm still proud of how it came out. I adore this line because the fact that Percy knows how to speak Scottish Gaelic, and that Oliver likes that a lot gives me all the feels (and being able to incorporate Gaelic in this fic put some of my knowledge to good use!). 4: What’s your favorite line of dialogue? "OLIVER," percy shook the boy.

"huh? what?" oliver snapped out of his daydream.

"lesson's over, we can leave now," percy explained as he packed his quill into his bag.

"oops, okay okay i'm coming," you shoved your parchments into your bag and swung it over your shoulder, rushing out of the charms classroom.

ever since oliver received his timetable for the school year and found himself in the same charms lesson as you, he had started an ever-growing crush on you.

it started off more as a sight for sore eyes thing, you were simply something for his eyes to ogle at during professor flitwick's lectures.

but over the course of the year, he'd notice the beautiful features on your face and your small habits that were easily overlooked by others.

he'd watch how anytime professor flitwick were to ask the class a question, you would pick your head up slightly then slump into your seat, almost as if you knew the answer but was too shy to raise your hand.

he had also noticed how your nose would twitch slightly whenever a cold breeze were to brush past the classroom, and how you would pull your robes closer to your body to warm yourself up.

no matter how much oliver adored you, he could never admit it. not to his friends, and certainly not to you.

he was the captain of the gryffindor quidditch team while you were in slytherin. your best friend was the slytherin beater for godric's sake.

it was the last class of the day and you and lucian were making your way to the library to do some studying before dinner.

"i've seen you and warrington flirting around recently," lucian eyed you suspiciously as he walked backward so he could face you.

"he was the one flirting with me! i've tried to turn him down politely a few times but he doesn't get the hint."

"oh come on y/n, give him a shot. you're sixteen and never been on a date! it's honestly getting quite sad," lucian was about to say something else when he bumped into a figure and fell backward onto his bum.

"oi! watch where you're going wood!" lucian scolded as he stood up and brushed his hands on his slacks.

"you were the one who bumped into me," oliver defended himself.

"fucking hell, you gryffindors just never want to admit when you're in the wrong do you. is this why all of you are rubbing up with mudbloods?" hatred laced off of lucian's tongue as he puffed his chest, inches away from oliver.

"sod off bole," oliver glared.

you sighed at the derogatory term lucian used and you had told him numerous times that it was wrong of him to do so.

you quickly pulled lucian by his shoulder, trying to diffuse the situation.

"hey luce, it's alright, let's just leave," you tried to interfere.

"i'll leave when he apologises."

you could just hear to anger in lucian's tone and knew that if you did not do something soon, a fight was about to break out.

you knew oliver from a few of your classes and he was quite a sweetheart. but you also knew he was assertive and had the gryffindor pride and bravery to stand up for himself.

you placed a hand on lucius' shoulder and rubbed it lightly, this action seemed to have calmed him down.

"i know you're upset but you were the one who bumped into him. you could just walk away but i would appreciate it if you apologised, especially since you used that term." you whispered so only he could hear.

lucian gave you a do i have to? look, which you only returned with a small nod.

"i'm sorry wood," lucian mumbled as he picked up his bag and walked off, purposefully bumping his shoulder into oliver's as he did.

oliver's eyes softened as the both of you made eye contact. you sent him a short but sweet smile and ran off to look for lucian.

lucian ended up calming down and the two of you spent the rest of the afternoon at the library.

you and him settled into the slytherin table in the great hall during dinner and conversed with the other students around you.

"i'll be right back," you informed lucian and hopped out of the bench.

you walked over to the gryffindor table, getting stares from the red and gold clad students.

you tapped on oliver's shoulder and he turned around, surprised to see you.

"i'm sorry for interrupting you, but i was wondering if we could have a chat? maybe outside?" you chewed on your lip.

"it's quite alright, i'm used to it anyway. don't forget we often play your house during matches," oliver shrugged.

"well i hope you do know that not all slytherins are like that, i think it's just the environments that most of them grew up in," you tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear.

"i bet," oliver breathed out as he watched your eyes sparkle from the moonlight shining through the large window in the hallway, "are you and bole...together?"

"me and lucian? merlin no, never. he's like an older brother to me. we've known each other since we were still in nappies." you let out a chuckle, a genuine laugh leaving your mouth at how insane oliver's question was.

oliver did not know what came over him but hearing the sweet sounds of your laughter ignited something in him.

"are you seeing anyone?" he asked.

"er, no," you scratched the back of your neck, embarrassed to admit you had never had a boyfriend before, "just never met the right person yet."

"would you maybe, like to study together sometime next week?"

"i'd like that actually," you fisted the side of your robes nervously.

sure you'd been asked out several times by people in your house, but something about oliver made your tummy do flips. to be honest, whenever lucian would ask you to watch him play, you mainly went to watch the gryffindor keeper in his element.

"i'll see you around," oliver leaned forward and pecked your cheek before quickly scurrying off back into the great hall.

you stood gobsmacked as you felt heat rise to your cheeks.

you practically giggled like a little school girl as you settled back into your seat.

"why're you blushing? and why'd you and wood go outside?" lucian asked curiously as your face fell.

you were so excited that you forgot about how much lucian disliked the gryffindor quidditch captain.

"he uh...asked me out to study..." you sipped from the goblet.

lucian sighed loudly, "d'you like him?"

you nodded lightly.

"well have fun okay?" lucian looked up from his potatoes and gave you a small smile, but you knew lucian long enough to know that that was his way of showing his acceptance.

"oh thank you luce!" your worried expression turned into a happy one as you flung your arms over his shoulders and gave him a hug.

a bludger came whizzing at y/n as she screamed, trying frantically to dodge it. it hit her hand and a crack was heard.

luckily she immediately hopped off calmly, taking out her wand shakily and stunning the bludger, before penny and angie helped her over to the hospital ward, fred lagging guiltily behind.

she was ordered to stay in bed rest and with drowsy eyes she drifted off.

fred watched her feeling so terrible as he saw her heavily bandaged hand, imagining how he was going to tell her that he was in fact the one that had charmed it.

the next day, she was out and about, gently cradling her hand which was broken.

"um, hey, y/n," he nervously approached her.

"oh, hello!"

"i might have jinxed the bludger to go wild," he confessed abruptly, "i'm really sorry i didn't mean to-"

"no, it's fine, really." she gave him a reassuring smile and walked off.

he noticed that she couldn't write in class. usually she was scribbling away, but she just sat awkwardly at her desk, trying frantically to get anything legible down with her non-dominant hand. the fact she was so courteous and forgiving about everything just made it worse.

by now, y/n was dying inside. she couldn't write notes, and even though she wanted to ask any willing person for a duplicate of their notes, she'd have to explain the whole broken hand thing.

"ange?"

"yep?"

"do you have history of magic notes?" y/n did puppy eyes.

"nope, you forgot i dropped out."

"oh."

"do you want mine?" fred asked, smirking as he looked y/n up and down.

"you take notes?!!!" y/n was shook.

"only for you, 'cause i felt bad."

"you didn't need to!"

"i did. you want them?"

"yes please, thank you so much, you're a lifesaver!!"

"you're acting like you're not the one the bludger hit," angie quipped and y/n frowned, completely forgetting fred was still there, browsing the notes.

"c'mon, it was just an accident. and i've always wanted to be ambidextrous."

"lovely, you were struggling. i'll take all your notes. my handwriting isn't neat but i owe you."

y/n ducked to hide the light blush she could not control at all.

immediately she got a confused look from fred.

and instantly she thought of something that might make the blush go away. he didn't mean it, it slipped out, she thought and she felt her face cooling down, a slight frown appearing on her face.

"o-okay, thanks fred."

"no problems, darling," he flirted.

"that's good, darling," she flirted graciously back, bravely tilting her head up and looking him in the eye.

he took it well.

"where did you learn how to flirt so well, my little love??"

"why, freddie," she joked flirtatiously, "from you of course!"

he coughed and excused himself.

"he should really be careful with who he's flirting mindlessly with," y/n rolled her eyes.

angelina laughed, "flirting mindlessly? do you see the way he looks at you?"

"personality," y/n stated simply.

"or not."

true to his word, notes in fred's flurry of handwriting appeared neatly stacked every day. they were far too thorough and consisted of stupid flirty notes by the side. sometimes a little note, written in class, was jammed in there probably by accident:

it wasn't everyday someone confessed to you, right?

she underlined all the words that simply weren't legible to ask fred about.

and aNOTHER ONE?? how did this boy have so many admirers? y/n had received 0 love letters from any boy, let alone people of the same gender. you knew you were good with the ladies (and the gentlemen) when everyone sent you these letters.

oh he was very nice. feeling like she had overstepped the boundaries, she put them aside, discovering more and more but putting them all in a stack. she felt slightly insecure, especially when they all looked relatively neW?? the perfume on the flowers still smelled fresh?? who was this guy?

she sighed, finishing her read through and being thoroughly impressed with the sheer quality of the notes.

but there were around 100 words she had underlined. she skipped down into the great hall where she spotted two gingers. as soon as one (she couldn't see which one) saw her, he got up, whispered to the other something, and left.

when she approached the one that was left behind, she saw it was george.

"hi georgie!" she greeted him and thrust the papers into his hand, "where's fred?"

george shrugs, "left, for a date or something."

"oh, okay, could you translate these for me, the underlined words?" if y/n was disappointed, she didn't show it.

"oh yeah, sure, his handwriting's rubbish, isn't it."

"yes it is, i can barely read half of it."

george finished scribbling words next to the underlined ones.

"oh! and give these back to him? i'm pretty sure he dropped them in, probably got mixed up." she gave him the pile of letters, now neatly bundled in rope she had found.

"oh, yeah sure," george smirked, "of course."

"nice, well that's it, thanks for the help!"

"anything else?"

"tell fred good luck."

"right, right, mhm."

"yea."

once she'd left, george took out his walkie talkie.

"got that, freddie?"

"crystal clear."

"you're pining, pffft, hahahahah," george smirked as fred sighed.

"it didn't even work?"

"which plan?"

"the one to drop the letters in."

"i'm pretty sure she read like two, she didn't seem that disappointed?"

"exactly."

"you're an idiot. just tell her."

"but that's boringggg."

"well drop the hints then, merlin fred you're terrible at this."

"i haven't dated a billion girls like you!"

"then learn how to date my goodness."

"true."

"come fucking back."

"hickies or no?"

"eh go for it. i wanna see her reaction and then we can decide whether she likes you or not."

fred strided handsomely in, neck littered with little hickies and his top had two buttons open, freckles and pale broad shoulders showing.

george rolled his eyes, muttering, "drama queen," as he subtlely watched y/n. she managed not to look so surprised, her eyes widening then looking down quickly at her hands.

he would have thought she felt nothing for his twin if a light pink had not dusted over her face and if angie had not nudged her with a concerned look on her face.

y/n was wondering what the hell happened, disappointment rising slowly in her.

"okay, she's into you," george whispered as fred began removing the spell, leaving the unbuttoned shirt unbuttoned.

"cool beans."

"oh and she gives these back," george smirked.

"oh look at how she bundled it! so adorable georgie!"

"you're disgusting."

y/n hurried to the library at 6pm. she had heard the book she had waited for was finally available.

as she settled down with it, a paper aeroplane hit her.

"ahh!" she screamed as she caught it.

it read:

forbidden forest, 8pm.

huh? was this meant for her? it was in neat handwriting and on the smoothest parchment, with a single flower that smelt like fresh rain.
