He has a nightmare where he rejected you
Characters: Levi and Satan (x gn!reader, separately)
Part 1 , Part 3 , Part 4 , Part 5
Main Masterlist
A/N: not very satisfied with this one, but I don't want to get stuck in writer's block forever. I will revisit this in the future to improve it, but, until then, I hope you enjoy it <3
.
Leviathan – He didn’t think he deserved you
Companionship from him was hard to earn; not due to pickiness, but rather fear.
Would you make fun of him when you discovered the things he liked? Would you call him a pathetic, sad excuse of a demon?
He wasn’t embarrassed about his passions, mind you; in fact, he was quite proud of them, but he knew an otaku like him wasn’t considered as attractive or interesting as others with more… normie preferences.
Take Asmo, who knew how to talk to people and profited from his appearance; or Beel, who knew how to keep his muscles; or Lucifer, whose presence was enough to call for everyone’s attention.
He couldn’t hold a candle to them, as much as the knowledge pained him, and he was sure you thought the same.
How else would you feel? You, a human suddenly lost in the Devildom with no way of surviving but proving your wit and your strength. You, who fought with tooth and nails to stand your ground and still acted with kindness towards him, paying attention to his rants, asking out of pure curiosity, keeping track of the passwords…
Falling for you came immediately after you became his best friend, but Levi couldn’t lie to himself.
There wasn’t a way in hell, heaven or earth where a possible reciprocation wasn’t fuelled by pity, no matter how much you tried to convince him otherwise.
He closed the door of his room again, keeping everyone out, hoping that if he couldn’t see your lovesick gaze anymore, then you’d find someone fitter and more deserving.
The thought pained him to no end, but really.
Levi couldn’t lie to himself.
His chest hurt, no wonder. The shape of his clothes was imprinted on his skin, sternum and ribs aching with each breath after hours of sleeping on the edge of the bathtub. He thought he’d also twisted his wrist for a moment, but the pain just came from the weight of his torso resting on top of it for who knows how long.
Levi slowly blinked as he started to wake up, a pool of drool drying next to where his head had previously been and his mouth completely dry in return, the taste of something stale and unsavoury covering his tongue.
There was a water bottle on one of the glass tables, his headphones and a half-full glass of soda, but his DDD was on the floor with his jacket. He saw a blanket there too and your scent reached him like a siren’s song.
Groaning at the rigidness of his muscles, quickly embarrassed once more of his unfit body, he pushed himself out of the bathtub and tried not to trip on the clutter around the room. Most things were his, obviously, but he also found some of your clothes and even a pair of shoes and your backpack, covered in custom pins he’d carefully designed just for you.
The image of his door closing and leaving you out of his life resurfaced in his brain. What else could it have been if not a nightmare? While he was perfectly aware you were way out of his league, Levi was also conscious about his sin and about how weak he was under its power. There was no way he would’ve survived seeing you with someone else, let alone after confessing your love to him.
Noticing your absence with a sudden wave of nausea, he wondered for a horrible second if he’d talked during his sleep and woken you up with nonsense and rejection, but there was no way you would’ve left him for that, right? You would’ve woken him up instead, offering words of comfort and reasoning.
Him knowing that fact was the main evidence of how ridiculous the nightmare was.
How could he ever forget dating you, if just for a few seconds after waking up in pure stupor? As though your mere presence in his life didn’t change him; could he ever fool himself into thinking he could go on without the chance of being with you? His dream self may have been idiotic enough to believe so, but he knew better.
Levi would never let you go.
.
Satan – He didn’t realise how deep he’d fallen
He wouldn’t describe himself as superficial.
Feeling wasn’t a foreign experience; hell, he was doomed to feel, but there was so much he could understand about emotions.
Why did there have to be so many layers?
Asmo fawned over himself, rejoicing in who he was, yet he couldn’t bring himself to show how deep his mind and heart could reach.
Diavolo, so prepared for political business, yet so unsure at matters of the heart, abandoned and lonely.
You, so obviously afraid of your new surroundings, yet unwilling to bend your knee and show weakness.
Himself, falling for you slowly without either of you realising. He cared for you with what he knew was fondness, respect and appreciation. After all, given everything you’d done for him and his family, there was no other way he could look at you.
You confessed to him one day out of the blue, hope in your eyes, and his heart skipped a bit; but what if that flutter wasn’t enough? What if he was reaching too far, anticipating a chapter that would never be written?
Over time, the warmth in his chest turned bitter and electric, not stimulating anymore, but painful.
Yet, he smiled at you.
How confusing.
What a stupid mistake he had made.
You weren’t with him when he opened his eyes, which only fuelled the anger his dream had caused. Frustration at the cycle, always returning to the comfort of his sin, and fear upon your absence.
The swaying towers of books covered the window and cast shadows where they weren’t supposed to be, taunting him with the presence of someone else just as he was coming to terms with the lack of your company. His stretched arm, searching for your touch, slowly returned to him and pulled him deeper under the covers.
He still felt the goodnight kiss you had given him hours ago lingering on his lips, but it wasn’t that what helped settle his uncontrolled mind.
No.
Satan didn’t need reflection to know how much his soul yearned for yours. Although intimidated by the intensity of it, he wasn’t afraid to show just how much he loved you. Also, he would be caught dead before rejecting an idea due to a lack of perspective. Exploring your relationship had been his favourite subject by far, after all.
He knew that, had his rejection been real, his dreams would’ve been filled with the never-ending hope in your eyes and his willingness for more instead.
What he had with you in what he knew was the undeniable reality, was what he would always want in any other.
He may not understand the strength of your love and all that came in between, but wasn’t that what made it all that exciting?
.

☆ random obey me headcanons part 4!
satan and diavolo ♡
part one (lucifer, mammon and simeon)
part two (asmodeus, levi and barbatos)
part three (beelzebub, belphegor and solomon)
small note: last part is here wooh! i apologize i wasn't able to add the others. i just didn't know what to put for theirs bc im big idiot. i might make some of them soon tho! i'll probably make aot headcanons next but there will be delays bc exams are next week 😔 i'll also plan on putting more characters in one post next time so stay tuned!
☆ satan:
- likes friv.com, y8 games and papa games.
- picked up the habit of meowing out of nowhere when he's bored or enters his room. only does it when he's alone ofcourse because no way he'll let others see him like this. (everyone knows he does it they just don't say anything)
- he really liked enola holmes and other movies where it has detectives. it just riles him up more and more and wishes a hard ass case will just appear in the devildom already so he'll be first in the scene.
- don't get me started on how many times this man has tripped on his pile of books. he never really learned his lesson and just kept the books on the floor because he enjoys watching cats step on each one
- watches mat pat theories with you and levi. that's when he genuinely started gaining interest in games and sometimes fear he'll end up like levi one day.
- before he was able to manage his anger, he used to pull on his hair really hard. he'd have bald spots for years. thankfully he takes care of it now and it's perfectly luscious and soft.
- gets pissed when he sees people leaving pens uncapped like this is a waste of ink
- also gets pissed when his brothers leave the bathroom door open. he'll use his sleeve to cover his hand and close the door like a clean freak (i do the same thing)
- snores really loud when he sleeps on the couch. yes, the couch not his own bed. the couch.
☆ diavolo:
- he finds pleasure in buying a lot of unnecessary stuff. never learns from his lesson and just kept buying little trinkets and giving silly excuses for it.
- "but barbatos! doesn't this pig just look so cute on my office table? look! i even bought 300 packs of those tea leaves you ordered last time! isn't that great :D?"
- "my lord those tea leaves cost 100k grimm each-"
- he loves to spoil people so much it's so insane. you mentioned you like tanghulus? he ordered barbatos to make 20 of them. oh you really liked that furry coat made by a famous designer? he just bought you 5 pairs of it in different colors. your welcome.
- he likes onesies
- takes really long showers as well. he recently caught up to this thing called an "everything shower" and got invested. now he can't go on with his day without using body washes, oils and cleansers. a demon prince always has to be fresh and well maintained.
- he's always very excited to see you so when he rushes for a hug it's required to pick you up. who cares if he gets scolded by barbatos or receives a glare from belphie? you enjoy it and so does he!
- beautiful thick thighs and ass cheeks it makes me go what the fuck papi chulo
- enjoys the idea of cosplaying. doesn't care what he wears as long as gets to go out and dress up as a character. a dinosaur? sure! princess diavolo?! say less!
another note: we just reached 30 fucking followers hello??1!1(1?@? thank you so much !!! (●♡∀♡)

What are your thoughts on the sins individually, if you don't mind me asking?
i think viv is really really scared to have her blorbos embody really negative traits so i think half of the sins we've been properly introduced to do a dogshit job at actually embodying the sin they represent because of this lol. why do half of them not suck more as people. why don't they embody their sins, viv.
this ended up being kinda longer than i meant so im dumping it under a read more vv
bephelgor's only my icon because i'm also sleepytired and want to go to bed. her design is endearing to me, but still a mess, and if she's meant to be inspired by baphomet, it kinda sucks she's not more androgynous, imo, at least give her a little goat beard. not much to say because she was more of a decorative vase than a character. fascinating how we see the remaining women sins and neither of them speak!
leviathan. sorry this is a bit meaner than i usually try to be. i hate her design so bad. i don't know what people like about it. you can like it obviously. but god. i could go on a tangent here about it but i won't. her design makes me chew foil. super cool that they gave her more screentime though and instead of talking, she gets to sit there silently while being hit on by a man instead. fascinating how-
asmodeus bores me, all of the haha sex jokes in this show are so obnoxious so whenever they bring up that he's the Sex One my eyes roll outta my head. his design is…not at all my cup of tea but i won't say it's atrocious. the palette is unique, at least, by hellaverse standards. i liked him in his first appearance but he's since been declawed and now he's a weally nice guy actually who's all about consent and his wholesome chungus monogomous relationship, which is so fucking lame. could make a bigger post about him honestly. him and fizz are a couple of the saddest victims to 'super scared to write her blorbos being genuinely nasty' thing imo
mammon endeared me initially, but his mastermind appearance sucks. i like his design for the most part (centipede. why centipede. make him a funnelweb) and the fact he's clearly a silly guy on purpose. dresses like a jester by choice. he's evil, AND silly, that's fun. while he's a bit dense in his initial appearance, he's clever enough to know exactly how to manipulate fizz emotionally, and then in mastermind he's this big lumbering dumbass fat fuck who eats sloppily and he's gross and yucky and stupid ewww!! what a cool way to write your like, 1 recurring fat character vivzienne popsicle. lets make a joke specifically about how he has a big stomach. very cool his asexuality was clearly tacked on last-minute and he's clearly not written with that in mind, also kind of weird to canonise him as such when you're writing him to be this undesirable gross slob. i like him in theory, but he also says a lot about how viv views fat/asexual people and it's kind of soured me to him a little. shame. could go more into him, but i'll stop here.
we can't make beezlebub fat though, that's fatphobic! that's why she's thin! ik her design was a whole debacle and i don't care for it but i think it's blown a bit out of proportion. she's just another vivziepop design, i dont think she's uniquely terrible, maybe aside from being a bad rep of gluttony, but i saw more people talking about the bee thing than that. i do think it was kind of a huge mistake to make her so indistinguishable from hellhounds, biggest problem with her design imo. it's clear they wrote her to be deliberately really cool and likeable because she's Kesha, though. she's a typical nice popular party girl. i watched lps series with characters exactly like her when i was 12. sin of gluttony, don't overindulge though bro look after yourself :(
satan is inoffensive. i find him/his design to be kind of generic? but not overtly terrible. big dragon just feels a bit boring to me to who is apparently the penultimate sin, bar lucifer. admittedly, i kind of like the bit that he's got this little guy he listens too. big sucker for silly dynamics like that when they're played straight. wish i knew why the lil guy's robe kept changing colours, though. he's kinda wishy-washy and generic. don't get why any of the sins are intimidated by him when he gives stolas a slap on the wrist that stolas doesn't even have to grovel for, purely for being royalty lol. what's he gonna do to the sins if they step out of line? wag a finger at them? the whole 'he's lying about ruling before lucifer' thing was dumb and should've been caught before the episode went out.
lucifer i have enough to say about that it could probably also be its own post but to keep it short...ish, i think he's kind of inconsistent and weirdly written. they're really scared to write him as genuinely morally dubious and that's lame. they blended like 4 sexyman archetypes into 1 for him. he's so clearly y/n bait that it makes my eyes roll into the back of my skull…characters should get their y/n fiction naturally god dammit stop manufacturing sexymen in the lab!!! his design annoys me but i guess the whole 'pretty porcelain doll' thing makes sense and since he's a fallen angel, corrupted purity or something, wears symbols of himself (apples/snake) all over so Pride, like FINE, i get it, i still flick peanut shells at him though. thin ice. bitch
basically my favourite is like almost mammon i think but he's got weird uncomfortable connotations so i guess it's bephelgor because she doesn't exist enough to do anything to annoy me yet
#helluva boss critical#hazbin hotel critical#i guess for the last bitch#also anon i'm always down to answer questions abt thoughts :]#ive been sitting on rambling about these bizarre trainwrecks of shows for like a year now.#its time i fear

I did it for Knives, now its his brobro's turn.
Edit: I'd like to apologize for what comes next as I wrote it in one go while hyperactive
Vash's design in tristamp is just as interesting to me as hundred spoons is for very similar but not quite the same reasons. Part of it is still the subverting expectations by having the arguably more angelic character have a darker colour scheme and look like something you wouldn't want to come across at any time of day. With both twins their looks very much align with how they view themselves, knives is pure and angelic and vash is dirty and demonic by comparison.
While it's not a traditional demon look I'd still argue that vash does look it. The most obvious is his iconic red coat, but also consider the massive form he becomes when knives fucks with his head. Yeah it's hauntingly beautiful, especially when you see it from our perspective as the audience but when you look at it from the perspective of the regular people on gunsmoke, that thing growing out of July would absolutely be demonic. It's dark in colour, it's sprouting random flowers (this is important), and most importantly its tearing the city apart.
Focusing on the actions during the fight first, I think it would make sense for the people witnessing it to think Vash is the demon and Knives is the angel trying to save the city. Partly because of Vash being blamed for everything Knives has done already painting him as the bad guy no matter what's actually happening and also the widespread broadcasting of the eye of michael teachings.
Moving onto the flowers and why I think they qualify as demonic. One of the most popular things in modern media that have Lucifer, satan, whatever you wanna call him in it he's the perfect picture of hotness. Everyone wants to be him or be with him, and this makes sense for his purpose in life! He's supposed to tempt people into sin so him having an ass so hot he could tempt even the most devout does hold ground in a portrayal. This fake beauty to hide the hell lying in wait I think is how the people on gunsmoke saw Vash. Even from the audience perspective tree Vash is still kind of a perversion of the classic angelic beauty but for a different reason. Vash is being torn apart mentally in that scene, the amount of anguish is unimaginable. Angels aren't supposed to feel pain like this, they don't get affected by the actions of others. In response his gate basically goes into overdrive to try and protect him but (and this is kinda theory kinda not) Vash's gate isn't like the typical plant gate. The pain he's experiencing isn't angelic and so the physical results of it look like a distorted imitation attempt.
Even then going with the classic version of the devil in media, who in the nicest way possible usually looks like he belongs under a bridge trying to trick children into crossing so he can eat them, I still think fits vash. Having him look so human, especially when put next to Knives, gives off the feeling of ugliness. I'm not saying he actually is, he's very much a pretty plant, BUT it's exactly like comparing a human to an angel. Plus if we look at his scars the feeling of him being less than builds up more. Again I'm not saying scars are ugly, this is an analysis of religious imagery and how I think it lines up with what's written in the Bible as a loser with baptist religious trauma and my own scars to show for it, I just wanna make that clear. The physical appearance of Vash, when compared to Knives at the end of the series very much gives the devil standing next to an angel and it ties into how each twin views themselves once again. Vash's self esteem is already so low it's in hell, he doesn't see himself as beautiful, pure, angelic, whatever. This is reflected in his appearance, he makes an effort to look human and fit in with others because the he sees himself as no better than the worst of them. Meanwhile Knives is touting about with as much angelic energy as his murderous little soul can muster because that's exactly what he thinks he is. An angel, or God himself, with a holy mission of creating a new garden of eden for plants.
Based on what we see during Vash and Knives confrontation when Vash loses his arm and also the plant lore that was revealed recently, Vash has a gate that takes. I don't know if this can be considered theory because Vash's gate has acted like a blackhole multiple times. This ties into my thoughts on the coat and glasses changing colours after he returns from being trapped while still relating to the main point of Vash having demonic energy, I promise.
In the plant lore 1/3 its stated that the power that takes away was sealed away for reasons. Presumably it hasn't been seen in long enough that even the people aboard the SEEDS ship didn't know much about it or don't have any experience with this power. Knives very clearly lines up with the power that brings in his motivations and manifestation of his gate. He's bringing material into the world, he's bringing the planet to a new age, he's bringing the plants to Eden. Vash however is the other side of that coin, the power that takes away. Based on the name alone this power would be considered demonic. Add in the fact that it quite literally manifests as a blackhole and it's very clearly not an angelic power. Vash has stated himself he can't bring anything into the world, only take from it in the form of needing to consume resources to survive. And when under severe emotional distress the distorted imitation of angelic power, also known as demonic power because that's exactly what demonic power is, comes out as a form of instinctual self protection.
It's now late enough and this post is long enough that I'm not sure it makes sense anymore, enjoy fellow tumblr people.

hi again! rewatched the 1st season now. so first off thanks again for the excuse i appreciate it lol. but secondly hoping you wouldn't mind explaining the satan's obssession with crowley thing? cos he's obvs creepy as all hell pun not intended in the 11 years ago scene but i haven't found the bit that confirms it's a fixation on crowley and not just satan being satan. tysm!
Hi! Thanks for the ask. I can try and we can see what you think after, yeah? :) Christmas cookie? *passes plate and pours some tea*
TWs: discussion of PTSD, sexual assault, including rape, intimate partner abuse, anxiety, depression. We're looking at Crowley as an assault survivor here so it's a bit dark. Lindsay's abuse of Nina is also mentioned here. This will wind up having a companion meta at some point soon as I was also asked in comments on another post to talk about Crowley and intimacy issues which is then really also talking about Aziraphale as a trauma-informed partner so a less intense Part 2 at some point soon...
If you're the anon who asked me this (or anybody else) and you can't read something with these warnings but you'd like to see what I'm saying, PM me or throw something in my Asks and I'll see if I can do a version of this that gets the points across while omitting the darker aspects.
Meta on Lucifer and Crowley under the cut.
The Ask here was about why I see Lucifer as fixating on Crowley, in particular, and not just being generally evil as, ya know, he's Satan. It's a fair question since Satan's evil isn't exactly something that anyone would consider restrained as he's the devil. Some of this is inference here when it comes to Lucifer, since the show intentionally holds the character back a bit... but I also think that holding Lucifer back is by design to help illustrate some things that we'll look at here.
The first clue to me that Lucifer has a bit of a fixation on Crowley comes from Crowley's gigs in Hell. Before the end of S1, Crowley was high-ranked in Hell. He seems to go by quite a few names in his demonic world. By making himself Nanny Astoreth when he's looking after Warlock, it alludes the idea that Crowley is also the demon of that name, who is considered part of the "evil trinity" of Hell, along with Lucifer and Beezlebub, with whom Crowley used to spend time with pre-Fall and with whom he has history.
Astoreth is a genderbent serpent goddess in lore with an abundance of other Crowley traits so safe to say that Crowley is meant to be Astoreth as well. Aziraphale proposed in 33 AD that Crowley is also Mephistopheles and Asmodeus, which Crowley didn't exactly deny. Mephistopheles is one of the most famous demons to ever exist-- he of the Faustian bargain-- and Asmodeus is the demonic prince of lust. Crowley's already been shown to be a Bible figure in disguise-- Bildad the Shuite being a Biblical character-- so the idea that we are at the 2/3rds mark of the show and we've met all the high-ranking demons in Hell but several famous ones appear to not exist in Good Omens, despite more minor ones (Shax, Furfur) making appearances, implies that we probably actually have met demons like Mephistopheles and Asmodeus because they're all really Crowley.
Crowley retained power in Hell because it allows him what little freedom he can have in damnation. It means he likely won't be removed from Earth if he proves he's "good" at being a demon and that means he won't get stuffed in some cluttered, dark, cubicle in Hell for millennia. (Or destroyed.) More importantly, it means he'll be able to be on Earth with Aziraphale. That's easily worth taking credit for a bunch of human wars to fool Hell into thinking he's evil.
While we see that Crowley, when forced to come up with a demonic plot of his own, picks more annoying things than evil things and sells them as evil-- the M-25 design, taking down mobile phone networks, he's sometimes forced into doing things he doesn't want to do in order to not be outed as a demon who isn't super jazzed about being a demon and is really, secretly, a free-flying crow. He doesn't live to serve their Master Satan like some of the other demons do. He's going along with Hell as best he can and sometimes, he finds himself in a situation where he has to get creative because he's been tasked with something he disagrees with-- like we saw in the Job minisode. Other times, he might be forced into something he can't find a way out of, which is implied a little to be at the root of his terrible mood when he and Aziraphale meet up in Ancient Rome. He's wearing military garb that implies the temptations he's saying he's in Rome to accomplish are tied to Caligula, who wasn't exactly a swell guy.
What's interesting, though, is that Crowley is in this position of power in the first place. Other demons are shown in both seasons so far to be jealous of Crowley. He gets all the good gigs. Satan makes a bet with God that has both Upstairs and Downstairs in a tizzy for weeks and who is sent to whack the kids? Crowley. Who was sent on the first ever really Earth mission-- to get up into the Garden of Eden and "make some trouble"? Crowley, long before he'd cemented his big reputation. Who gets to deliver the antichrist baby and so kick off Armageddon, the thing that angels and demons basically "live" for? Crowley...
Across both seasons so far, Hastur, Ligur and Furfur are all given scenes of showing that they're jealous of Crowley being a favorite of Satan's and given the best assignments while they slum it in middle-management at best. What Crowley never says or admits to with other demons is that they actually don't want to be the favorite of Lucifer over here because he's the actual fucking devil and it's an absolute horror show. Crowley isn't about to admit that to them because he's supposed to want nothing more than to be Satan's slave and to express anything else is not demonic.
The other demons who are antagonistic towards Crowley are invasive and creepy but they stop short long before what we've seen Lucifer do. Hastur and Ligur pop up unannounced in Crowley's electronics-- the tv in his flat, on the screen at the movies-- and that's already disturbing. Imagine having your evil coworkers able to interrupt your r&r tv time in your own apartment... let alone the fact that Shax and even Beezlebub both pop up into The Bentley unannounced in S2. There's no evidence so far that Satan is out here "delivering instructions" like this to others in Hell the way he does to Crowley in 1.01 (and there's actually a scene in S2 that we'll talk about that suggests that he's not or, at least, that it's uncommon, which we'll get to in a second.)
He might well be but when you combine assaulting Crowley with giving him all the prime gigs in Hell and the other demons' jealousy of their Master's attention towards Crowley, you wind up with the impression that Satan is a bit fixated on Crowley.
The Bentley scene with Lucifer in 1.01 is analogous to rape. Crowley's sense of personal autonomy is violated. He doesn't consent to Lucifer forcibly entering his body. Lucifer does so by first penetrating through Crowley's two foremost metaphorical defenses-- The Bentley (enters through the radio and uses it to invade Crowley) and his sunglasses, which cannot shield his eyes/himself from Lucifer. Crowley already has these signature defenses mechanisms on in the attack scene and the horror in the scene is actually watching neither of them protect him. The scene is so early in the show that it's only the second scene we've ever seen Crowley wearing his glasses (and it's pitch black dark out, to add to it) so the glasses are basically introduced to us by showing us a situation that motivates Crowley's desire to hide his eyes from people he doesn't trust, even if they aren't human and know what his eyes look like. This is Crowley's third scene in the series itself and it's really arguably the second half of his second scene (the Hastur & Ligur in the graveyard one.) It's part of our introduction to Crowley in the modern era, with only Eden preceding it. Armageddon is new but the rest of this hell-- faking being evil, suffering violating attacks-- is thousands of years old for him at this point.
Crowley is driving when this happens.
Driving is the ultimate symbol of self-control because you're literally behind the wheel, navigating yourself through the world, in control of where you are going and the decisions you need to make to get you there, trusting yourself to make decisions that protect others on the road around you. Lucifer rips that from him by rendering him unable to drive while "delivering instructions" to his mind. Crowley-- a very powerful, magical being-- is unable to fight him off. When Lucifer leaves his body, Crowley had to grab the wheel and steer The Bentley away from hitting an oncoming truck with about three seconds to spare from a head-on collision. Crowley, The Bentley and the antichrist baby all would have likely survived that crash without issue because of their magic-- but the human driving the truck likely would not have. Obviously, Crowley would prefer not to kill anybody but Satan nearly made him against his will and rendered him unable to fight him, the powerlessness of which is then interesting when tied into things like Crowley essentially drugging himself to save Elspeth, trusting the present Aziraphale to help protect him while he did, etc..
As the attack happens, parts of "Bohemian Rhapsody" are underscoring it, picking up on a musical cue from when Crowley rolled up in The Bentley to see Hastur and Ligur in the graveyard. The graveyard scene sees Crowley arrive at the big crescendo of the song and what is it but the lyrics Beezlebub, has the devil put aside for me? and, prior to that, the eerie lyrics, especially on rewatch when you know what happens as a result of this scene: we will not let you go (let him go) x a million, not to mention the no no no no no no... bit.
By the time we're back in The Bentley and Lucifer has shown up, parts of the song play through it. I see a little silhouetto of a man plays as Crowley is literally seeing the driver of the oncoming truck in front of him, just as he loses the ability to control The Bentley. When Lucifer leaves him and Crowley grabs the wheel, we hear thunderbolts and lightning/very, very frightening/me and the Galileo segment of the song. Thunderbolts and lightning is interesting since God makes it a point to point out that this night is not dark and stormy but then that type of weather is what Crowley does in S2 that causes the power to go out and his parallel, Nina, to be trapped. It's also what demons in general can do so you could say sending a storm-- like in the Job minisode-- to be demonic and of Satan. (If it's not Crowley doing it to play Cupid, anyway.) The thunderbolts and lightning of Satan/Hell is very, very frightening to Crowley...
...Me/Galileo/Galileo/Galileo/Figaro... Galileo is arguably the most famous astronomer to ever live. He was a polymath, really, like Crowley was. Crowley, as an angel, made the stars and invented gravity. The scene with Hastur and Ligur that precedes this and ties into it has Hastur mistranslate the Italian Crowley spoke during it. Crowley said "ciao", meaning "goodbye", which Hastur correctly said was Italian but he claimed it meant "food" (mistaking it for "chow" because he's an idiot.) So a scene that ends with Crowley speaking Italian then connects directly into the scene of this attack, where Italian is spoken in the song scoring it, as Galileo was Italian and figaro in Italian is "fig tree".
While Eve does eat an apple in Good Omens, the Biblical 'fruits of knowledge' that tie to the Serpent tempting Eve in Eden are interpreted in different ways throughout different religions and at different periods in history. In Good Omens, Crowley got Eve to eat an apple and the pleasure of food opened a door to sexual pleasure. Eve shared the apple with Adam and they were *Aziraphale's hilariously judgemental voice* "expecting already" with Eve about 8 months pregnant later a day later because Eve's biology is atypical of other humans and all that. It's debated as an apple, with other different fruits and sometimes even wheat mentioned as possible things Eve ate-- if she ate food at all, as some people take the entire thing as a sexual metaphor. Figs are one fruit that some people believe it was instead of an apple, so this is a reference to Crowley as the Serpent of Eden.
Me/Galileo/Galileo/Galileo/Figaro... Crowley holding onto himself while under attack and just after it, which speaks to activation of a plan, which speaks to this not being the first time he's endured something like this. Galileo and Figaro = The Starmaker and the Serpent of Eden. The things he's done that he is proud of, that make him not evil, in his mind, and not deserving of this. Things he likes about himself. Things Aziraphale loves about him.
The song is narrating for us Crowley through the attack as he's basically frozen there enduring it, seeing the driver of the truck coming at him and Scaramouche/Scaramouche/Will you do The Fandango?
A scaramouche is a kind of mischievous scamp-- so, Crowley; The Fandango is a Spanish couple dance. Historically, one version of it is done between a pair of men who try to outdo one another with skill, in a kind of homoerotic competition. It's also slang for fucking during a concert and I have the feeling that Crowley would probably enjoying doing that Fandango a lot more as that would be consenting with a partner of his choice at a live concert rather than being mind-raped to Queen by the devil in his car. Regardless, it's another allusion to sex in the scene, adding to the rape overtones.
There's also something that is pretty horrifying about the fact that these scenes of Crowley and Aziraphale being separately reintroduced to us in 2008 after we first met them both together in Eden are intercut so that Lucifer's attack on Crowley scored by "Bohemian Rhapsody" ends with the Italian sung and cuts directly into Aziraphale speaking Japanese to the chef at the sushi restaurant.
He'll try to explain to Gabriel that eating sushi is "what humans do", which is the same phrase he'll use to try to explain to Michael and Uriel in S2 what falling in love is. During the bookshop attack, Shax will bully Aziraphale about his humanity-- about the same two things (food and love) in the two previous, connected scenes. (Gabriel, initially the one repulsed by tea in 1.01, leaves the scene after Aziraphale tells him to hide by asking if anyone wants a hot chocolate, in a pretty hilarious turnabout.) Shax calls back to the food-related and the love-related "it's what humans do" moments for Aziraphale by asking if she should "send up the sushi" and by mocking his relationship with Crowley ("What are you? Crowley's emotional support angel?"). Crowley and Aziraphale are the ones in love and it's tied together throughout multiple scenes in both seasons to sushi, in reference to the night Armageddon began in 2008.
The point then is that, making this all even worse, Crowley is actually supposed to be at a back corner table in a dark sushi restaurant sneaking a date with Aziraphale when he's attacked by Lucifer in The Bentley-- and then forced into helping start Armageddon, which could bring about the end of his and Aziraphale's relationship... and that's our grim introduction to his world in the modern part of the story.
As we go learn what Aziraphale is like in the modern era and contrast him with his head office's mentality via Gabriel's arrival, we also are given clues in the scene that suggest that Aziraphale was actually expecting Crowley, as he looks to the side Crowley comes up on when he hears the miracle sound that actually signals Gabriel's arrival instead. Aziraphale will then explain that he's there, doing "what humans do" and enjoying it, to Gabriel, and it will be only eating sushi in this moment, just as Crowley will not be present when Aziraphale explains that falling in love is "what humans do" while objectively talking about Maggie & Nina but, ultimately, talking about himself and Crowley beneath it-- his real motivation for keeping Heaven off their backs is Crowley. The writers then have Shax combine the two "it's what humans do" scenes around love and sushi and throw them back at Aziraphale while Crowley is once again not with him because of Heaven/Hell but is present in his absence in the moment.
All of this happens in the first scenes of Crowley in the modern era, all the way back in the first episode, and it's done to give us an understanding that he is a survivor of attacks like this and how that impacts his behavior, his choices, his relationship with Aziraphale. It's to give us a finer appreciation for his strength and his humor and his capacity to love in the face of it. It's to show that while some of the demons are just kind of amusing idiots, if dangerous, and that there's a lot of humor to mine there, some aspects of being a demon are not at all amusing. Crowley is really just doing the best he can to survive the absolute horror show that is an eternity of damnation as Satan's favorite over here because there are very dark, very violent aspects of it that he cannot permanently avoid.
While the attack we are shown is a mercifully short, if horrifying, scene, the implications of it are even worse. The assault we are shown had a plot purpose in that moment-- Satan giving instructions on delivering the antichrist baby to the satanic nunnery-- and since everything was in motion, that was the extent of it. Armageddon took precedence. What we are left with, though, is the impression that this type of demonic assault with its massive rape overtones is something that Crowley's experienced before and that the implication is that Lucifer attacking him is not always just to deliver a message related to an assignment but to deliver one of forcible control over him and that this is something that Crowley has been dealing with periodically for the 6,000 years he's been on Earth. It's akin to a kind of rape in 1.01 and that is already way more than enough to see how that would affect Crowley in the story... but then S2 takes this scene and both alludes to it in a key moment and gives it a whole paralleling subplot, highlighting its importance and continuing to expand upon the meaning of it. Both things together then suggest that while we saw a rape-coded assault in 1.01, the feeling that the scene was alluding to other instances where it was rape itself was definitely the implication of it.
In S2, in the group scene at the end, Crowley is out of the bookshop taking Maggie and Nina away from the angels for their safety when the subject of Satan comes up for the only direct time that season. Shax demands that Gabriel and Beezlebub be taken to Hell to be given "as gifts for Satan, our Master" and Head of the Dark Council Dagon replies that "he wouldn't want them-- maybe as hors d'ouerves." On the show obsessed with food symbolism and that codes different types of food with relation to sex-- in particular, because of Serpent of Eden Crowley-- and with the brothel owner named "Mrs. Sandwich", to say someone would want a being as a "hors d'ouerves" implies sex and if we're talking about Lucifer, then we've already established that consent isn't exactly a priority. Rape isn't about sex-- it's about power-- but the show is coding Lucifer's behavior in line with its coding of sex to highlight that his violation of Crowley isn't just of the heavily rape-coded variety that we saw in 1.01 but has actually, at other times, been rape.
Dagon's most significant line in S2 is essentially to point out that Satan's a rapist-- but it's also to point out that not everyone in Hell has been through that horror. Satan's choosy. Satan's a bit fixated. Dagon's comment is actually surprising. Your first thought when Shax suggests giving Gabriel and Beez to Lucifer is that he's the devil so they'd be in danger and what you've seen of what he's done to Crowley was skin-crawling and you don't want that to happen to Gabriel and Beezlebub. You assume that it might because we're talking about Satan but then Dagon puts a check on that and says-- to not a single bit of even implied disagreement in the room-- that Satan wouldn't really care that much about getting Gabriel and Beez.
Think about how truly kind of crazy that is.
Satan would not be that interested in being handed over his old friend and the Grand Duke of Hell who betrayed him and the Supreme Archangel of Heaven? He'd maybe rape 'em, sure, possibly, casually posits Dagon, but they aren't what he's really after. They'd just be hors d'ouerves.
Not a single being in the room even so much as signals disagreement with that assessment that the not terribly subtle Dagon chose to voice aloud, which means they all agree with her. They all know who Lucifer's fixated on.
*Gabriel* and *Beezlebub* would only be fucking *appetizers* to Satan.
That implies the existence of *a main course*, does it not?
Who else but Crowley (and Aziraphale) could be on that menu? No one.
We also have that Crowley is conveniently out of the bookshop for the moment that Shax and Dagon have this exchange about Lucifer. He comes back in on Dagon saying "hors d'ouerves" but was outside when Shax was referencing Satan so he didn't hear any of it. This seems very deliberate on the part of the writers, as if Crowley had been in the room, it would have prompted some kind of response and changed what happened in the scene afterwards. Instead, the only reference to Lucifer is specifically when Crowley isn't in the room, probably because this conflict is on-going and going to continue into S3.
Prior to Dagon's line, the show also paralleled Lucifer assaulting Crowley in The Bentley in 1.01 with Lindsay abusing Nina, which adds another layer into this. You could even make an argument that one of the reasons why we never see Lindsay and we just see their abuse of Nina via the text messages they send Nina is to draw an intentional parallel to how little we've seen to date of Lucifer/Satan in the series.
It directly ties to the 1.01 scene in The Bentley because, prior to Lucifer coming through the radio and assaulting Crowley, Crowley was trying to call Aziraphale (the Maggie to his Nina in this parallel, though obviously much further along in that relationship) to tell him about Armageddon but he'd taken out the mobile phone networks earlier in the night to have something demonic to share with Hastur and Ligur. This parallels Crowley knocking out the power in S2 accidentally and Nina getting locked in the coffee shop with Maggie. Lucifer and Lindsay both attack through electronic communication devices-- The Bentley's radio and Nina's phone-- and unleash a torrent of abuse. The difference is that Nina might be more easily able to escape Lindsay and live a more peaceful life after S2 while Crowley has yet to be truly able to evade Lucifer.
While Lindsay's abuse of Nina is at least psychological and emotional in what we are shown and Lucifer's abuse of Crowley is that with physical and sexual aspects that may or may not be present in Nina's relationship with Lindsay, the type of abuse doesn't matter to the parallel as it's all terrible and that's the point. Lucifer's abuse of Crowley is paralleled with the intimate partner abuse Nina is suffering in her relationship. This is objectively pretty interesting since it sort of suggests that Lucifer is Crowley's Lindsay, in the sense that they might have once been involved pre-Fall, which might add another element to why Lucifer is fixated on Crowley.
So, while Crowley can encourage his parallel Nina all he wants to take a risk and trust more and to trust him when he promises that it will be worth it, Crowley himself can't really extract himself from his own Lindsay-ish situation yet. He does know how to survive it, though, and it's not all about the defenses he and Nina put up-- it's about learning to shed some of those defenses enough to have a sense of intimacy with a kind person you can trust to love you and help you feel safe.

Yippee!!! Lucifer's references + little bit of lore for my AU: @datingthecheekydevil Feel free to send asks (for the characters or questions you have to me) to the blog, someone already did which made me smile. I am going to answer the character asks once I posts Adam's references.
The definition of Altersex and pronunciation of xe/xem pronouns.
Yapping under the cut b/c shutting up is not an option to me. /lhj
Even though I made Lucifer go by "He/She/They/Xe" pronouns, I am going to use "he/him" for this info dumb to not confuse people.
Changed his last name because I like astrology and in Roman folklore, Lucifer was the name of Venus. Venus got nicknamed "the Morning star" or "Evening Star" due to how bright it can be in the sky due to the sulfuric acid clouds, and it sometimes mistaken for a UFO. Lucifer looks like an alien anyway so that works out perfectly.
The Minis got a redesign. Even though I will love the pansexual vibe, I changed it due to Angel Lucifer being pink and I wanted the Minis to represent his genderfluid status. Their names come from the other ways the name "Lucifer" has been translated. I also got inspired by these little clones that appear at the start of Hell's Greatest Dad.
I got tired of drawing the stripes of Lucifer's waistcoat, so I just removed them. He is giving sailor vibes now but let him be a cute little sailor. Circuses are Lu's special interest, and his ringleader outfit is his comfort outfit. (Like we all have our favorite piece of clothing that we wear every time we get the chance.) I made it garish for the vibes. I am doing to design him a more royal outfit (something fit for a king) I feel like it.
The pink bow on angelic dress meant a lot to Lucifer because he made it. He was sad when it was burned to ash when he fell from Heaven. Even though his life in Heaven was not the greatest, his red bow tie on his outfit represents the happier moments.
Instead of the silly pointy teeth, he has fangs because one, fangs are very cute and two, he is a soul sucker. Lowkey I just might just give him vampire like abilities.
Remove the second stripe on his hair because I have no idea how they work and either does the show lmao. I swear his hair is fused to his skull because how does it work???? My man got no ears. 😭
Back on topic: In DTDC, the other Sins will not represent a different circus act. Each ring has their own aesthetic. This is still a work in progress so I might change somethings if I feel like it: The other sins existed for Lucifer's creation. Bee, Ozzie, Mammon, Bel, and Satan were lower ranking angels but was toss into "the Pit" (aka a void for all the angels' failed projects or disobeying angels). When Evil was allowed to enter Earth when Eve bit into the apple, Evil fused with the Pit which created Hell. The reason Lucifer was never toss into the pit due to his status of being a Seraph.
Pride is just Lucifer themed. His sigil, symbols, family crest, anything apple and snake themed are just everywhere. The light poles look like snakes, the buildings are apple shaded, and portraits of him are on every build board. Sinners at first were allowed to travel to the other rings but once the exterminations were put in place, Heaven putting an angelic seal on it (like holy water) so Sinners cannot leave. It makes it easier to kill them without going into every ring.
Gluttony represents the 70s and hippie culture but with more sinister cult vibes because Beelzebub is a cult leader. Her followers worship food, all types of food, even stuff that should not been counted as food (i.e. other demons). Bee was toss into the pit for her over-consumption of resources.
Greed is corporations and a capitalism & classism hellhole. Mammon is a corrupted businessman. The citizens are all white-collared, blue-collared workers, and salaryman. Kaorshi is very commonplace. Mammon was toss into the pit for being obsession with status and hoarding of angelic jewelry.
Lust represents 80s club culture. Asmodeus is your sleezy club owner. Demon & drug trafficking are the lifeline of the ring. Ozzie was toss into the pit for his lustful actions.
Sloth will be similar to how it is in Helluva Boss. It is going to be the medical/mental healing ring. Belphegor acts like quack doctor and uses alternative medicine to heal Hellborn. Bel was toss into the pit for her healing practices that cost harms to other angels.
We have not seen the Evny ring yet in Helluva but is still ocean themed. Leviathan existed before Lucifer's creation and was created by the angels. Levi always fought with the angels and would not do what they were told, so she was a toss into the pit.
Wrath is still a desert; it is very hot and humid but times 1000. Satan was toss into the pit for his angry issues and attacking other angels. When Evil fused with the pit and after Lucifer's fall, Satan tried to declare himself as the Ruler of Hell, but he got overthrow by Lucifer. Lucifer was mad after his fall (like very mad, he was fucking pissed. He lost everything especially his appearance) and basically beat Satan into submission, not wanting to be under someone's else control ever again.
Speaking of his appearance, I am planning on design his true form aka the reason his called the "the Morningstar", his doll-like appearance is just a shell for it. In DTCD, Lucifer does have more demonic form appearance but only makes himself look like that when doing royal stuff, his forms are in phases:
Phase 0: The Doll Shell.
Phase 1: The Doll Shell with demonic elements. His eyes change and the horns coming out of his head. The multiple eyes only appear as when he is trying to intimidate someone.
Phase 3: I will save that for later. 😊

Random headcanons of the demon brothers
Lucifer sometimes likes to play around with his brothers. He joins their silly schemes, and pretends as if he is not happy about it. Lucifer does this so that his younger brothers do not relax too much with their wishes. He also likes that his brothers continue to include him in their shenanigans, despite the fact that he may be busy or tired.
Mammon sometimes has moments when he really wants something sweet. In such cases, he often turns to Luke for his pastries. Luke may not immediately agree with Mammon's order, but still eventually brings him his homemade sweets. Such sudden cravings usually appear due to unexpected sadness or when Mammon is lonely. It could also be an excuse to talk to Luke. In return for Luke's baking, Mammon prepares his favorite spicy noodles for him, reducing the spicyness to the minimum.
Leviathan is very good at languages. It's all because some of his favorite comics, novels, books were not translated into his preferred language for a long time. At such moments, he studied in depth the languages in which the manga, book, anime, etc. was written. It also seems to me that he just likes to brag to people about jokes in the original language. He begins to create long posts about the brilliance of these jokes and begins to pity those who do not know the language in order to fully enjoy the show, book, comics in the native language.
Satan sometimes reduces his anger level with the help of sports. He read that physical activity helps well to control anger, or at least helps to overcome it in a healthier way. He especially likes martial arts, he and Beel often train together. Asmo, having learned that Satan is looking for new ways to resist his anger, offered to do yoga with him. It indeed helped him too.
Every evening Asmo writes his thoughts in a diary. None of the brothers knows about his little secret. In this diary, he writes down what worries him about his insecurities and feelings. This helps him a little to ease what has been troubling him in his own thoughts for a long time. He also writes down his dreams there, he really likes to analyze his own dreams very much, looking for hidden symbols and meanings there.
Beel likes to collect cute little things. It all started quite spontaneously when Belphie gave him a crystal mini star before his "departure to the human world". Since then, the brothers sometimes gave him something miniature to add to his collection of cute little things. Beel is very careful with them, slowly wiping them from dust. It looks very cute seeing him acting so gentle with the small gifts.
Belphegor is very fond of soft and pleasant to the touch fabric. When he is in the mood, he puts on clothes with a soft cloth before going to bed to make himself even more comfortable. Asmo, having learned this fact, decided to order clothes with that kind of fabric, so that Belphie could always feel cozy. Belphegor really liked the design chosen for him by Asmo.

Obey Me Fantasy AU Intersex (are they male or intersex?)
After dreaming about it, I think I decided who will be a guy and who will be intersex. Also, this is my headcannon and it will change over time.
Lucifer - A literal mom, so yeah. But prefer to be called he/him because his appearance is more into a men and comfortable with that pronounce. The only thing that makes him intersex is having woman womb instead of man's P. He gave birth to Satan, but being separated for years (two years, but cat curse makes Satan grown up faster)
Mammon - A male. I can't imagine him being c*nt. I love Mammon being male instead. Also, his demon form are the best design than the other brothers, in my opinion.
(12/10/24 edit)
I know, he slayed on Dame event, but blame my dream that I got while sleeping, he still a male.
Leviathan - could be intersex or a male. I don't know. He does not appear in my dream. (I love him, why!!!)
Satan - Intersex. When he was born, Lucifer thought he's a girl. Due to cat's curse, he grown up fast (young adult) and look exactly the same as Lucifer (but Blonde, green eyes and a bit skinny). Although his curse has been lifted, he still want to keep his cat tail and can transform into it.
Asmodeus - Obviously intersex. No comment! He gave me big sister vibe!
Beelzebub - A guy. He's too big and muscular. I respect muscular woman, to be honest...
Belphegor - Intersex. Literally have a mood swing like a woman having period. Sometimes, he can be a cinnamon roll and other time, he can be menacing.
Diavolo - A literal demon prince, so, male. In this Au, he is still a demon prince.
Barbatos - Diavolo's mom- I mean butler. He gave me mom of all demons vibe. Also, in my dream, he's intersex.
Solomom - I don't know yet. But I got a strange dream of him giving birth. So... intersex or shape shifting?
Simeon - He have a mom personality and raising Luke like his own child. But... In my dream, he's a guy... (Maybe pretty boy. blame my night dream)
Luke - I feel like if I change his gender, FBI will catch me. So... Guy!
Mephistopheles - Guy? Girlish? This guy never appear in my dream. But I love him... Why, dream?
I know! Mephisto is Mephisto gender!
Thirteen - A girl. No changes! I love her, though.
Raphael - Intersex because in different game, most angel who had the same name were pretty woman. (But the most not obvious intersex because he had more male characteristic and emotionless expression. Just like Lucifer, he have womb.) Also in my head cannon, Belphegor called him 'Raphi'. And I think he being pronounce they/them in obey me official before.
(edit) his nickname is literally 'The most beautiful hitman!'
Might change in the future. I don't know.

Some time ago i made redesign of all brothers. I haven't posted it in here yet, so here it is!
Also i made redesign of my OM!OC together woth em all, so i also pit it in this post♡
I showed Asmo and Sosha redesign in another post, but i hope you are not angry at me for that😇
CHANGES:
Lucifuk
-Since he is staying up all night, i made his clothes more messy. Yeah, now he looks like single mother of 6. I feel like nights at Devildom should be hella cold. So i now his clothes are warmer.
-Glasses.
-More blue. He still have a lot of Gold and Red, but now you can see at least a little bit of his sin colour.
Mammy
-I THINK WE ALL CAN AGREE that Mammon is that type of ppl who would wear EVERY SINGLE gold thing he has, just to look more rich.
-Also i think he would wear some stupid accessory, like eyepatch and thinking he looks cool and badass. But he actually looks good with eyepatch tho-
-His skin is darker now, he have some gold/yellow hair strands and piercings. Yeah this dude feels like piercing lover. Maybe he also have tattoo or smth.
Leviafish
-Another character who have 0 of his sin's colour on their orig design. Now he has some orange.
-He is otaku, he DEFINITELY don't have time to get a haircut! And long hair Levi sounds good.
-His orig design was gamer. THIS ONE IS A NERD OTAKU! Some anime accessories, hair clips, stickers, HELL YEAH.
Catan
-Satan is just Lucifer's wrath, this would be logical if they had similar appearance. And, this would make Satan even MORE angry.
-Braid... it has no explanation. I just gave him braid because i wanted.
-Now he looks less ugly + his outfit has cats now.
MY♡SWEET♡LITTLE♡HONEYBUN♡CUTE♡PUP♡LOVELY♡HUN♡BEST♡BOY♡PRECIOUS♡HUSBAND♡ANDGORGEOUS♡QUEEEN♡ASSMODEUS!!!♡♡♡♡♡
-How he definitely is avatar of lust! Open outfit, gorgeous and hoey.
-Now his hair is pretty and fluffy like a cotton candy.
-BEST ONE ABSOLUTELY YES
Beelzeburger
-Another one with no sin colour! But i added more red.
-Beel and Belfie are twins, but their designs are very different. I gave them more matching elements, like little braids, vitiligo and eyes. Also Beel have some porpol in his clothes, while Belfie has some red.
-Eyebrow piercing... Sorry, but it cools sooo cool on him! Also tattoo!
Belfukgore
-Another person who doesn't have enough time for haircut, so half-long hair. He is constantly sleeping, so his hair is messy.
-His orig design is not sleepy enough! Now he is wearing pijama. Yeas, i am extra.
-Also yes, this transparent porpol-red thing makes no sense. But it looks hella cool!

Gn!MC with super long hair
Characters: Lucifer, Leviathan, Satan, Beel and Diavolo (x reader, separately; written as romantic, but could be read as platonic)
Main Masterlist
Anon request: ¡Buenas! I was wondering if you could do a gender neutral mc with lucifer, beel, Levi, satan n dia with head cannons about a mc with suppeerrr long hair? :D take care of yourself n remember to take breaks :)
A/N: I'm killing so many birds with this stone. This one has Lucifer and Satan, who are long overdue, and I'm posting a months-old request, which is way long overdue. Also, I want to thank Beyonce for giving me the motivation necessary to do this.
.
Lucifer
He can’t help but be impressed at first, even though his unbelievable age has allowed him to meet all sorts of living beings and see their diverse features first-hand.
Hair helps express oneself and represents different cultures, so he wonders what motivates you to keep yours so lengthy. Of course, at first, it stays at that, wondering and imagining, since it isn’t something that keeps him awake at night.
Plus, your impressively long hair only proves to be bothersome as days pass.
It’s on the furniture, the floors, the rugs, the laundry, the food… It. Clogs. The. Shower.
He’ll make you clean everything whether you like it or not and will absolutely throw that sadistic smile of his if you dare complain, sitting in a chair and reading the newspaper while you’re on your knees fishing clumps of hair out of the drains.
Legit him.
But in all seriousness, his attitude towards you will improve drastically the moment you start to clean your messes; and if you already do that from the start, then he holds you on a much higher level of respect.
You are cleaner and more responsible than his brothers, who would’ve thought?
He will feel beyond honoured if you ask him for help brushing or styling it; a bonding moment he’ll cherish very much.
Levi
He is fangirling hard and is not even embarrassed about it.
There are multiple fictional characters with hair as long as yours, both male and female and everything in between, and he wastes no time in comparing you to all of them regardless of your gender.
He’ll be considerably disappointed if you haven’t watched or read any of the anime, manga or novels he’s referencing, but if you’re willing to learn or if you’re already experienced in the matter, then prepare to never know peace again.
There are marathons, online shopping, gaming sessions, plot debates and, of course, his absolute favourite, cosplay.
You don’t need to dress up if it isn’t up your alley, although you should consider it. Levi is an excellent tailor and, as shy as he is, he has observation skills good enough to know what character resonates with you the most, both appearance and personality-wise.
Villains or heroes, leaders or sidekicks… It doesn’t matter. He would implode with excitement if he ever saw you dressed in armour, sparky or leathery clothes (or even all of them at once) with your hair styled in an intricate design that would normally have to be achieved with a wig.
If you want to watch him passed out on the floor with a worryingly deep blush on his face, you should try making a harness with your braided hair. His nerves won’t allow him to help, but he’ll make up in enthusiasm and admiration.
Satan
As far as he knows, hair holds great symbolism and, according to some, memories as well.
He is one curious demon with an extensive academic background and room to spare for more knowledge, so he’s very interested in knowing whether the length of your hair is determined by personal preference, culture, religion or something else.
Sure, you’re close and cherish each other for the way you are, but he has seen a feature of yours in his books, in history museums and even fashion exhibits. There’s something about seeing an object of interest in real life that makes him pay more attention than he would otherwise.
Even if the reason why your hair is so long is purely aesthetical, he’ll still be interested.
That just means he can tell you everything he knows instead.
Of course, your hair won’t be present in every single one of your conversations; Satan doesn’t want to be exhausting and, after all, it being part of you doesn’t make it you.
However, you will be aware of all the times he thinks of it.
“MC, hypothetically, if you were trapped in a tower, could your hair support the weight of another person? No, right? That’s what I thought! Of course!”
He isn’t fooling anyone.
Beel
Using a scented shampoo is considered a sacrifice in the House of Lamentation and everyone expects you to be aware of that.
He will eat it.
Legitimately.
It’s unavoidable.
Not directly, mostly, but it will happen as you grow closer.
It’s more noticeable when it’s your turn to cook. The brothers feel the visceral need to implement a new rule where you are obligated to wear a hairnet whenever you’re in the kitchen. Obviously, accidents still happen and threads of hair still fall to the simmering pots and pans in the stove while you’re distracted.
And Beel will be the only one to not realise. Thinking it’s just a really long and thin noodle, he will slurp that strand and enjoy it while everyone stares at him in horror.
His sin is a blessing in disguise.
Another example takes place when you’re close enough to share a bed; a situation you need to be careful with.
It improves if you braid your hair or if you use a bonnet at night, keeping it guarded and safe from the tossing and the fraction with the bedsheets, but the risk of it being mistaken for some weird-shaped food still exists.
On the other hand, if your hair is loose while you sleep for whatever reason, you can kiss it goodbye; since Beel will probably want to cuddle you and your impressive mane will inevitably directly be in his face.
He nibbles in his sleep, what can we do about it?
Diavolo
He is amazed by the beauty of it; it’s mesmerizing.
Of course, he has seen plenty of demons and witches with hair as long as yours, a symbol of beauty alone and power in the hierarchy of nobility; although that last one is tied to old customs, since the longer the hair the more time and servants you had to take care of it.
And you attend to it on your own? That’s impressive!
He wants to know everything, hence the huge amount of questions in so little time, almost like an eager child on a school trip to the zoo; shining bright eyes focused entirely on you and fingers twitching to grab a lock and softly stretch it until the very end.
If you let him do just that, he will treat it like a delicate treasure, never pulling harshly and observing with care. He doesn’t bother hiding the blush on his cheeks or the warmth in his gaze, mainly because he wants you to know how much affection he guards for you and how much he loves being able to be so close.
It’s a true pity you don’t have horns. Some demons use theirs as support for their hair, coiling it around them and making interesting designs.
He could give you a crown, though.
Show him what you can do with it.

Past, Present, and Future
The human's name is MC. They were simply an exchange student at a school the prince founded, but after forming pacts with seven of the most powerful demons in the Devildom and finding out that they're distantly related to an angel, they're now linked to the Devildom for the foreseeable future.
Judging by how protective Satan is towards them, I suspect he's one of the demons MC has a pact with. Asmo's probably another, which means that most likely, we're the ones MC's referring to.
Oddly enough, it doesn't seem too far-fetched to me. There's something unusually captivating about MC. I find myself hanging onto their every word.
And then I notice it. The ring on their finger. I didn't think too much of it at first, since it's a simple black band, but when the light hit it just now, it glinted like gold.
"Can I see your hand for a second, MC?" I ask. They comply, and I take a closer look at the ring. Even though they nearly blend into the black, the engraved design on it matches the one on mine.
What's more, the ring appears to have fused onto their finger, making it impossible to take off. Just like mine.
"Did I give this to you?"
"Indirectly, yes," they answer. "You gave it to an ex to safeguard it, and she gave it to me. It helps stabilize my power, you see. Prevents it from destroying the three realms."
"Who has the other ring?" MC's confused. Satan, on the other hand, promptly answers,
"Solomon." Well, that's interesting. That's the name of the human sorcerer Michael's taken an interest in recently.
"What are you guys talking about?" MC asks.
"The Ring of Light has a sister: the Ring of Wisdom," Satan explains. "They were created specifically for Lucifer and Michael respectively. Michael gave his ring to Solomon after the war, and obviously you have Lucifer's."
"Right...and this is significant because?" My turn.
"As a result of the rings' power, my soul has become intertwined with Michael's. We're essentially one entity housed in two bodies. The fall must have severed our connection, making it necessary for the rings to find new heirs." I pause. "Do you have any connection to this Solomon fellow?"
"I'm his apprentice." Well, then. It seems as though the process has already begun.
"I want you to be careful, MC. The connection you now share with Solomon has the power to change worlds, but being that close to him can also drive you mad. Just...make sure you keep your wits about you." MC nods as I let go of their hand, and we continue walking.
Eventually, we make our way to one of the observatories.
"If your Simeon is the same as mine, he's probably in here," I explain. "He finds it quiet and secluded enough for him to collect his thoughts."
"Is there anything else you'd like to know before we part ways?" MC asks.
"I think I've heard enough. I would, however, like to pass along a message, if you don't mind." Satan and MC glance at each other, and Satan shrugs. I dig around in my robe pockets until I find my notepad and pen. Using part of the building as a flat surface, I write the following note on a blank sheet of paper:
ᔕ,
ᗩᗰOᖇ ᐯIᑎᑕIT OᗰᑎIᗩ.
-ᒪ
(Transcription: S, Amor vincit omnia. -L)
Tearing the note off, I fold it and hand it to MC.
"Give this to Simeon. He'll understand what it means." As MC sticks the note in their pocket, I open the door to the observatory.
"Thank you," I tell them as they head inside. "For everything."

On archangels and Crowley's former rank in good omens 2:
Thought I'd do a brief post putting together my updated view on Heaven's archangel hierarchy, based on both this post by Neil and the lore drops in season 2.
"I wasn't the original concept designer, but I worked very closely with upstairs." "You know how God likes sevens." "The kind of miracle only the mightiest of archangels could have performed." "How do you know I didn't do it?" "That arch traitor Crowley--" "I am the only first order archangel in the room--or, you know, the universe--" (extended cut to Crowley) "You'd have to be a Throne, a Dominion, or above." "He always did want to go his own way. Always asking damn fool questions." "Let there be light."
Proposed hierarchy of good omens archangels:
First Order: Gabriel (former); Lucifer, now Satan (former); [REDACTED], now Crowley (former); Aziraphale (current, replacement)
Second Order: Michael; Uriel (higher than the others, but beneath the first order archangels)
Third Order: Saraqael (she defers to Michael and Uriel in her first scene, but is important enough to be present at Gabriel's trial); Sandalphon (Neil has referred to him as a 'lesser archangel')
Points of confusion:
"For one prince of Heaven to be cast into the outer darkness makes a good story. For it to happen twice makes it look like there is some kind of institutional problem."
This quote is almost certainly referring to Lucifer. Obviously this cuts against the theory that Crowley was a first order archangel, though idk what was up with the editing in that scene if that's the case. They cut to him immediately after Gabriel says the line.
Baraqiel. Dominion. Angel of the Sky. Appearance: Hair an eye-burning jinnjer. Eyebrows with the appearance of a grisly slug. Often draped in red. Occashunly damp, most likely singed.
Lots of people have been talking about this page from Furfur's angel spotting guide:
I'm of the opinion that this probably (though it's possible) wouldn't be in the prop book and shown for so long on screen if it wasn't A Clue. The page would've looked fine with just Aziraphale's information. Entirely possible that it's just hinting at a new character for season 3, but the description sounds enough like Crowley that I'm suspicious. (Eye-burning ginger.)
Of course, this cuts against the archangel Crowley theory, but all we know for sure is that he was a Throne or Dominion or above. It's possible that I'm just reading too much into all the other hints that seem to point to him being an archangel. (Though for what it's worth, Baraqiel is known as an archangel outside of Good Omens canon, and is also known as "lightning of God," which is very interesting in a season where Crowley summons both a tempest and a bolt of lightning.)
Would love to hear what people think! I know a million people have been talking about this, I just wanted to organize my own thoughts.
#the way a week ago i would have literally never made a 'crowley is an archangel' post. literally never.#but i can't ignore it when canon bashes me over the head with it#here's how kokabiel crowley can still win--#good omens spoilers#gos2 spoilers#good omens season 2#good omens#crowley#good omens meta

Lil’ Charlie Morningstar Redesign
I tried to incorporate goat features with the attempt at goat hooves, the gap in her teeth and her nose. The gap in her teeth also looked cute and I thought it suited her. There’s also a goat tail but that’s hidden so oh well. I also made her hair a bit more curly to give her a softer look since she’s a soft character (if that makes any sense)
I also made her clothes more flowy to convey her not being up tight despite being a royal.
There’s also a smiley face badge and a pride badge which I gave her. I didn’t bother making the pride badge that noticeable though since I did this in one colour. I’m guessing since she’s got the hotel she’d want to ensure demons know it’s a safe place for them no matter who they are.
I gave her a subtle doll appearance with the hippy peace sign being painted on one of her joints. I didn’t pay that much attention to it though since I don’t really see what being a doll has to do with her but I wanted to get the hippy sign in somehow. I also wanted to reserve more doll features for Velvette when I hopefully redesign her.
Taking the bow tie away isn’t because I dislike it, it’s just because I wanted to make her look more free looking.
The flowers are just there to look nice and also to give her more of a pacifist hippy vibe.
I know she isn’t EXACTLY a pacifist since she had a war with heaven but that is intentional. In my fanfic I have plans to elaborate on that. I know there’s only 3 parts thus far but believe me I am planning it and am just trying to think about how to hint towards things in the pilot.
ALSO THIS IS NOT TO SAY I’M BETTER AT DESIGNING CHARACTERS! THIS WOULD BE A PAIN TO ANIMATE AND THE ORIGINAL IS WAY EASIER.
I only drew this for fun and also so that I had more detail to put into future drawings because it’s more fun that way at least for me. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out considering my past attempts which I probably won’t show because they look kind of awful.
One thing I wish I could have done was to give her sandals because again I think that would have given her more hippy vibes but I couldn’t figure out how to draw them on her hooves.
If I had coloured it in properly then I would have had her two main colours be some soft red colour and some gold or yellow.
For her demon form I think I’d personally have it more extreme than what it’s like in the show. Originally I was juggling with the idea of giving her goat pupils but they looked too creepy for her normal form so I think they’d go better for her demon form just to emphasise the scariness of it and make it contrast her normal design better. There’d be allusions to the classic image of satan and demons but I’d also give her some goat horns and er- creepy stuff- maybe I’d give her some angelic imagery just because Lucifer himself is a fallen archangel. But I’d probably want to reserve the uncanny angel designs for the exorcists when they’re in the exterminations. Think Mandela Catalogue alternates.
Heres the fanfic by the way: Hazbin Hotel But With Filler Episodes
The name says what it is. There’s also a bit of a change for the lore and how some cannon episodes go but I think it tries to stick to the cannon relatively well.

Hi again! It's the anon that made the succubus au! I've come to bother you again with another idea! I hope you like this one, I plan on it being a tad darker with some BAMF Adam.
I went to see Longlegs a few weeks ago (dint worry, this isn't a Longlegs au (even tho now that o think about it, I would love to see that, but that'll be another day-)), and I love the design of the Devil. The stereotypical horns and goat silhouette that you can just make out- *chefs kiss*
So, I'll skip to my point. Adam dies during the extermination, comes back a sinner- in a way. He's basically become totally corrupt by Hell itself. I like to think that he's indulged in EVERY sin for around 10,000 years.
I like to think that Lucifer gets his power from hell, and now, so does Adam, he's on par in power with Luci in this.
Adam doesn't come back as a usual sinner, seeking redemption at the hotel, but instead, he can materialize out of no where, dissappear at will and if he wants, he can make himself untouchable. Completely. Not even Alastor or Lucifer could harm him. And his form? He looks like how we depict Satan, tall, half goat half man, multiple seats of horns, which a goats face.
But I love Adams face, he's a gorgeous man, so obviously he can switch between. He can make himself appear more monstrous (like real world Satan) or more human (with hooves and one set of horns).
He's bent on revenge. He terrorizes Lucifer, makes him see Adam some days, or some tall, horned monster standing on the corner (sometimes he goes completely unnoticed, other times he's everywhere).
Lucifer knows it's Adam, but he's dead? He thinks it's his guilt ridden mind playing tricks on him, till he wakes up and sees Adam standing over him, digging his hand into his side. Lucifer finds that he can't scream, move, or use his powers. He just stares at Adam, as he feels his rib be pulled out.
To add more injury, Adam just crushes his rib while laughing, then disappears. Lucifer heals of course but he notices that he now has a scar, the same shape as Adam's.
Lucifer isn't the only person he goes after, he also goes after Alastor. Mainly reopening his wound as soon as it shows any sign of healing. Alastor is fully aware it's Adam, he's terrified that the only person that was able to injure him is not only alive but even more power than he was as an angel (he wouldn't admit that he's scared, nor would he tell Charlie about Adam, he sees Luci acting off, as much as he likes seeing him out of sorts he doesn't engage (Adam doesnt interact with Alastor as mich as he does Luci- yet. He settles for humiliating Alastor (i remember you (I hope this is you lol) saying that you like one sided angelicradio, i think that would have such a good place in this au, Alastor cant help but find himslef even more interested in Adam, especially since he's alive and seemingly even more powerful)).
I like to think Adam would go After Nifty to, but I don't think he'd kill her. He'd want her to suffer but he doesn't know much about her so he can't start his revenge just yet. Plus he's having too much fun with Lucifer and Alastor.
Him and Lucifer talk. Adam usually only speaks when Luci is having sleep paralysis. He doesn't want to have a conversation. He wants Lucifer to hear what he has to say. No interpretations. Lucifer of course yells and says horrible shit whenever he sees Adam, it frustrates him that Adam doesn't engage at all, just stares. Which unsettled Lucifer.
If you've seen Longlegs, he acts a lot like Satan, standing in the background, making himself known on his terms.
He mainly shows himself to Lucifer, and of course, he does this while Lucifer is doing business around the hotel. He mainly uses his more beast-like form while doing this. Lucifer eventually confides in Charlie, who's concerned about her dad, she thinks it's some form of hidden grief that's making him see Adam. Vaggie is a little indifferent. She can tell something is bothering Lucifer (and that Alastor is acting off but she doesn't really care about that). But the Adam Lucifer is describing sounds nothing like the Adam she knew before and after her fall, sure he was a monster, a devil even but he didn't LOOK like one.
I've been commenting on some of your posts (shhhh) and if there's one thing I make very obvious is that in any form, I love a gorgeous Adam, chub or no chub, man's hot, pretty, definitely sexy. And that comes through both forms. His eyes are still gold, and shine when the sun (or whatever Hell has) hits them, they basically glow at night, which adds a new hostility to them.
Man was a giant when he was alive, he's a giant when he's a "sinner". His normal form wouldn't have changed heights too much but his more beast-like form DEFINITELY has (I know in the show he's like 10" but I think that's a bit much, I like to this he's 6"-7"), his beast form would be more on parr with his canon height.
So basically this au is Adam being possibly even stronger than Lucifer (ww don't know how much stronger because he's new to hell), he wants to cause the man as much pain as he's caused him, and make him feel like he's nothing. Exactly the way Adam felt when he got abandoned in Eden.
I hope this is somewhat interesting to you, and I got through my idea semi well. I wish I could add pictures to asks so I could actually make sense, lol
Anyway, I'll leave that here.
Again, I love your work! I have to say that eveytime, I want to drive it home lol
Okay-bye!
(I'm sorry I'm referencing Longlegs a lot. I swear this isn't an au based off that movie, it's just the best Satan I've seen lol)
I haven't seen or even heard of this movie but it Sounds interesting!!
Adam deserves a little revenge let's be real. My boy has been through Hell before he even got there.
The angst potential is so *chefs kiss*
Thank you!! You are so sweet! Here have a cupcake 🧁

i see NOTHING circus-themed in bee's design 😭 she just looks like a cluttered genero mess k can't believe we got her after asmodeus
Personally, I adore Bee's design, but I must admit it took me an embarrassing long amount of time to realise she was indeed the show's version of Beelzebub and not another character altogether. Seriously, until I first came to Tumblr after the episode's release and saw people saying she was the Lord of Gluttony herself (which I get she literally introduced herself as, it's just that Cotton Candy had way too much going on for me to lock onto that particular detail), I was convinced she was supposed to be like a "higher class" breed of Hellhound.
Like, I thought she was Beelzebub's pet and that somehow made her more powerful and different from other Hellhounds; I legit thought that was why her name was practically the same but with a hyphen. I was legitemately convinced she was some sort of "tailor-made" Hellhound made to resemble her master Beelzebub more closely to make her stand out from the regular Hellhounds. Though the reason behind this misundertanding is due to her mention of Belphegor not letting her use her party drugs. I misheard her, thinking she said Beelzebub, and immediately assumed she was subservient to her instead of, well, being her.
Having said that, I do think Bee's design is appropriate. It just represents and reflects so much behind-the-scenes stuff!
Firstly, we have, of course, the inlusion of Kesha. I'd say Vivziepop owes a huge chunk of her fame to her Die Young animatic featuring her werewolf character, Jay Jay, singing the song in what was essentially a tribute to the artist. So with that in mind, it's obvious Bee's more canine design is clearly the crew's way of saying they've finally come full circle now that they got Kesha herself to voice a character for them. Further proof of it is that obvious reference when Bee even ended looking like Jay Jay during Cotton Candy by getting Jay's blue fur and pink hair.
(Well, to be fair, Jay Jay began appearing more often with light blue fur and bright pink hair after she debuted in Die Young, but I remember a sneak peek of another animatic where she would have her later colour palette and be singing Kesha's C'mon. So the point still stands).
Secondly, I personally think she does embody the circus troop theme, deep down, just maybe not in the way you'd expect her to.
Just like Lucifer and Ozzie's are ringmasters and Mammon is a jester, Bee is supposed to represent confectionary stands (hence, her constantly conjuring up fast food and sweets) and animal acts. Now, if you ask me, I'd say the animal act side of her is both very subtle and incredibly on the nose, as much of an oxymoron as that is.
On the one hand, the only thing really reminiscent of animal acts are the hoops and loops she has around her house, which are very easy to overlook.
But on the other hand, there's also the fact that her subjects are Hellhounds, or at the very least they seem to feel the most at home with her. In fact, Loona's adoption papers have her signature, meaning she oversees the process to some degree.
In a way, the Deadly Sins resembling their subjects is another recurrent trait, though Asmodeus looking nothing like a succubus is a clear exception (and Mammon seems to be a literal money tree).
We have Lucifer, whose Ring is mostly inhabited by Sinners and his standard form is the most human-looking one...
There's Bee being essentially an alpha Hellhound (Fox)-Bee Hybrid...
And if his app is anything to go by, Satan might just as well end up being a more powerful kind of Imp.
For all we know, Belphegor might be a Baphomet too! Especially seeing as the Sloth Ring seems to be mostly populated by them.
(I know this one in particular works in the Lust Ring, but you know what I mean).
And there's also the fact that it seems to be a reference to the Divine Comedy, if my memory doesn't fail me, where the Gluttony Ring was inhabited by Cerberus. So in that respect, Bee being a Hellhound is very consistent, especially because going back to the act she's supposed to represent, her ruling over Hellhounds essentially turns her into a beast master!
And of course, we can't forget she's supposed to represent Gluttony, over-consumption, over-indulgence, excess... All things that can easily be found in wild, out-of-control parties. And what is Bee's character deep down? A literal party animal!
So yeah, in my humble opinion, Queen Bee-lzebub is both a very imaginative and faithful take on her character, as well as the character that best reflects how far Vivziepop and Spindlehorse have come. Though that might just me being biased by how much I love her design LOL.
