Hey doll,

You know better than anyone I’m not one to go around dating casually. Nor am I someone most would think of as an ideal partner. I know you understand my way of life. I mean, of course you would, who would stick around me this long if they didn’t understand? I kill people without hesitation, heck not even children are safe. If my boss orders it, I’ll follow through. Not because I’m some mindless dog, but because I trust his word. Plus, his way of leading is something I look up to. Do you get it? Never in a million years did I see myself saying yes to you. At least not at the start. In fact, when we met at that movie, I wasn’t expecting you to start a conversation over my tears. Which, I tried my best to deny at the time. Of course, you love to remind me of how much of a crybaby I am though. You bring that damn story up over and over again, but I can’t bring myself to completely hate it. I’m sure it’s because of how we met we’re now together. You said it was refreshing to see someone cry without a care in the world. I hope you know; I did in fact care about you watching me cry.

Soon enough we fought and fought till eventually you said fuck it. Who cares if I date someone who’s my enemy? You said you’ll be in more pain if you don't have me for yourself. What a terrifying but beautiful declaration. Seriously though, _____________ you’re crazy to want to date a member of the port mafia, not to mention an executive. Then again should I really be shocked, you do work alongside Dazai. I’m sure that guy spills all sorts of secrets about me into your pretty little head. I swear the two of you always snicker about me. I hope you know I can hear you even if you speak in morse code.

Which brings me to recall, we’re always on opposing sides, but once the doors bust open, you’re already in my arms. You don’t even hesitate to talk about your day as if you weren’t spilling tea about the armed detective agency. Not that I find your information ever useful. Talking about how Rampo stole your lunch or bragging about your juniors isn’t anything special. Still, we did make a pact to never let work life interfere in home life, so I should expect useless information.

At the end of the day, all I want is to see you happy in love. To me, it’s a treat if I get to see that dorky smile across your face. Those small kisses you pepper all over my face in the morning is nice too. Heck, I even enjoy your pranks you do from time to time. It lets me know you still care for me, that you at the end of the day love me. ___________, I love you. Can’t say I truthfully love everything you do, but that’s love.

There’s going to be struggles. Secrets hidden from each other. Yet, through it all, I’m going to stand beside you as your lover. ______, I trust you and I know you trust me. We’re in love despite standing on opposite sides. What’s more is we both know that if either of us gets hurt we’re rolling out the gun. The only difference is where the bullet hits. At the end of day, I couldn’t wish for a more perfect partner. To me you’re my one and only. I love you and now that I’m thinking about it, I have no idea why I wrote this. Anyway, I hope you treasure this letter, see ya doll.

a few weeks back i suddenly had a lil kick and remembered I haven't tried making something for Madness Day or really done Madness stuff for a long time even though i still love these violent jellybeans dearly and figured I could redo a concept I did for the last Madness Day i did something for back in 2021.

so naturally i left it until last night to actually do most of the drawing. Jeb, Hank and Tricky have all died a stupid amount of times.
