This photo perfectly captures the moment that I feel really hard on concret and hurt my ankle right before competing. I’m laughing because I didn’t realize I had hurt my ankle until it hit the ground, which I hadn’t hit it yet. I thought it was funny, that I would be fine. I competed but it hurt the entire time. It’s moments like this when I realize why I have such a passion for the sport in the first place. Even though my coaches and fellow teammates weren’t much help, people from other gyms that I had vaguely remembered asked if I was ok, which I said yes. It’s small gestures like that that mean a whole lot to a person who might have had a rough day. In this sport everyone is so polite to each other. And it really helped me push through the pain.

It is a reminder everyday to treat people with kindness. I always want people to feel how I felt, because I know what it feels like to not know what to do. I know what it feels like to feel alone. To be bullied. To be trying to find friends in a classroom with all the popular kids. And that last thing i want is for other people to feel that. So if I see someone sitting alone, I got sit with them, I know how it feels. When someone is getting bullied, I stop it, I know how it feels. When someone is trying to find a group, I invite them into mine, I know how it feels.

DAY 165

Today's character is Haruka Amami!! Haruka is a cheerful and sweet girl who loves to sing. She gets along with almost everybody very well and is often referred to as just a "normal girl". She is comically clumsy as well, known to trip at least once a day. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and hates living alone.

FUN FACT: Haruka always has some sort of hair accessory on, they change depending on costumes and such, but it's usually two ribbons.

aw yay haruka!!! i love her so much,, i remember when i first watched the anime (which will be like 7 years ago soon whoa) my favorite character changed constantly and was literally everyone at 765 at some point but i left with the conclusion that haruka was my favorite. 7 years later i wouldn't consider myself a harukaP (as in who my #1 allstars girl is) but she's still a character i really adore. i have her on my (soon...8 years old?? also whoa) tomodachi life save. about the drawing, i wanted to do something special of course because haruka is practically the face of the idolmaster but i decided to not overthink it and do some more clean line practice. added more color burn and i'm not sure how i feel about how it turned out. regardless, i like this drawing :D
