Tbh one of the things that annoyed me about season 4 was the writers refusal to really engage with the things that Allison did in season 3. Ray is just Not There for Reasons. Luther and Allison are not allowed to interact ever again. And Allison’s relationship and dynamic with Claire is just so superficial and muddy/unclear (especially set beside Klaus and Claire’s very fleshed-out dynamic).

Allison’s actions are really only brought up to be brushed aside, in the two scenes where the characters are allowed a cursory mention.

Viktor: “Look. You did what you did. I get it. […] But we're not friends. And that sucks, but it doesn't have to be some huge thing.”

And I feel like it’s just another instance in season 4 where the writers did not have the guts to deal with something complicated and messy, and so they did the easier thing and just opted out. Just had the characters give up on each other. It is a massive bummer imo that after 3 seasons of fighting to be there for each other, this is the last real conversation that Viktor and Allison get to have before they both die.

Allison didn’t even really get the opportunity to try to make things right with Viktor and Luther and the rest of her family. But hey, instead, let’s have Viktor reconcile with his abusive father for half the season. Sure.

Allison had moved far away from California to the Midwest. Things had ended poorly between her and Isaac. She wanted to move far away but wouldn't take their daughter to France. So that's how she ended up there in Indiana.

They had moved in about a month ago and were finally stable. She really needed to get Isabelle into activities with others. Seeing a parent/child class, Allison signed them up. Finally, on Thursday, Allison and Isabelle walked into the room.

allison IS a relatively known figure in certain circles. the argent name is a known name and, though much of its history is tainted, it still holds its weight when convenient and necessary. this is even more true as allison grows into her role as the sort of monarch of the name and paves a way for a better reputation.

Well, it's not an animatic but it'll be four illustrations on the chorus (maybe more, if i feel like it) so this is [1/4]. That long frame is supposed to be for a future Intagram reel once I'll be finished, hope I'll find the determination to finish it...

Unrelated reading update below: If you followed my reading update you'll know that I'm done reading aftg, and tho it's been a few weeks I haven't started anyting else for a bit (cause of WORK, seriously, who invented that).. But I have finally taken the dangerous step of entering the Percy Jackson universe. I don't know how I - as a queer 20yo guy - managed to escape it for so long but,, Anyway I'll probably post some Percy Jackson stuff soon as well.

tbh i’m surprised at the amount of people i’ve seen say that five should have given allison a talking to, rather than viktor. why would five, leader of team kill that old man, berate allison for doing what he wanted in the first place? why would five come down on allison for killing an innocent person to prevent the apocalypse, when he himself has made a career out of doing just that? lmao
