one of the saddest things is when someone in your family tells you you would've loved someone who died before you were born. like my mother has told me & my best friend that we would have loved talking to her father. that me & my brothers have the same humor as our late uncle & even look like him. everyone is everywhere & nowhere & here & gone & dying & coming back. it's as though you know them through their shadow or their ghost or your own actions, but you won't ever really know. haunts me, i guess

this soundtrack and this moment in the movie feel such a full circle to me. it feels such a gentle nod, a love letter to the original jurassic park scene with the brachiosaurus, the emotion of the moment, the shock, surprise and excitement of ellie sattler and alan grant. and in the new jurassic, henry, who was alan's student, gets to feel the same emotion of his mentor. i really get him wiping off happy tears - seeing these gentle giants alive after dedicating years and years to study dinosaurs and their fossils must have been so special. the title to me just feels just a hug to us all fans of the franchise, who grew up with the movies, the scenes and characters <3

Say what you will about if there needed to be a new Jurassic Park movie or not, but I do have to give it props for looking the audience in the eye and blatantly saying that life saving healthcare should be free for everyone and not paywalled by a corporation

And for having the rich corporate guy be obviously an irredeemable asshole and be left for dead because he threw everyone under the bus for profit and have the only genuinely helpful thing he does is go on the mission himself so he could get eaten as a distraction for everyone else left to escape
