Lyra, my beloved cat of 13 years, passed away this year on Father's Day. She's been by my side through very difficult times and was my little rock of steady and unrelenting love. I struggled a lot drawing this, and struggled a lot posting it, but I know I would've wanted to read a comic like this that validated my grief for her when I lost her.

Wherever you are, Lyra my little summer star, I love you always! Thank you for being the best thing in my life.

I think it’d be funny if Dick and Jason, due to wearing bright yellow capes on the job for years, are capable of stealth to a frankly unhinged degree. They barely have to try anymore it’s so second nature. Dick can just completely disappear while in the loudest neon clothes imaginable. Jason is constantly startling people who don’t understand how they missed a guy the size of a fridge standing right there. Bruce is extremely grateful for his unbreakable poker face because they have both startled him by accident and would never ever let him live it down if they knew.

Bruce who forgets he can’t just. Pick Jason up as easily as before.

Jason will get injured, — he hates ankle wounds; they’re not like shoulder wounds, which are his favorite.

They’re pesky, and tiny but powerful, like Damian, — and Bruce casually walks up to him, tries lifting him by the armpits. One time? No go. Two times? No. The third time, he cracks his neck and does it.

Other times, Jason pretends to be asleep in the Batmobile so Bruce would carry him. Bruce forces himself not to mention Jason can’t sleep without his Wonder Woman bear.

I will say I get the vibe that a lot of peoples interest and support for strikers is a bit too much for a vicarious ‘burn it down’ thrill, rather than for the actual goals of a strike.

Like UPS has agreed to come back to the table and it is very possible they will concede to Union demands and avert a strike. And if that happens (so long as the union does not make concessions on its key demands) it’s a good thing. It’s a victory for the laborers. It is the same ultimate conclusion that a strike would intend to produce except without the workers having to go on (not so great) strike pay for a week or two.

#I understand to an extent bc I think such a major strike would be very politically significant for the labor movement #But UPS submitting to union demands to avert a strike also accomplishes this. Maybe in a less visible way but all the same #Also on a personal note I would love to see UPS get absolutely fucked but again: strike goals are more important here

If anything he reads like someone who's attempting to chair an unruly group project.#Honestly I think this scene does so much to show us why JGY manages to become the respectable leader he does in the future.#He's actully good at leading discussions and doesn't rise to bait. He's trying to start a productive discussion with *real facts*.#There is genuine honour in his approach and he never jumps into the emotional bandwagon.#The issue at the moment is that he doesn't have same level of authority as the contrastively *worst* sect leader does.#Jin Guangshan has a very specific agenda - to gain power by throwing anyone he deems expendable into the gutter.#The story even explicitly calls him out on not being so different from Wen Rohan multiple times.#The insidious part is that he's surrounded by people who think this is all justified.#It's all about using the 'victim' narrative to leverage justification. This past year and three months have been such an awakening for Jewish people, but one with a certain flair of absurdity. It feels like un-reality, like a wicked nightmare you can't wake up from. It's like the entire world has lost its mind and when you try to tell them this isn't normal, that what they're doing is wrong, they twist reality itself to say that no it is actually normal, it is you who is wrong. They dehumanize you, treat you as a symbol of evil and disgust. It's like we all woke up a year ago no longer humans, something else, something vile, like a bug, like a... oh. oh.
