I just don’t get why Anna, who has so far been presented as being averse to looking at women romantically say something like this ? It feels ooc almost idk. You could argue that she’s opening up slowly, and is still in denial over her feelings and/or sexuality and this was a way to open that avenue but it doesn’t feel right to me idk why.

L: Tysm for requesting anon!! This is actually something I’ve been wanting to write for a long ass time, and I’m so sorry this is a month late, I was In a rut for the third time this year, but finally, here it is!!

“Don’t worry, it’s going to be okay!” The kind-hearted guy, leaned towards you by the metal, old lockers, while you switched your books, shaking your head side to side, “Come on, whatever happened to Nance and I is over.”

Your eyes shifted to meet Steve Harrington’s, your 6-month boyfriend, who was also your younger sister’s ex boyfriend, Nancy Wheeler. Although she may have been younger, Nancy had it all, popularity, the smarts, and the looks, except you, the shadowed sister. Even your brother Mike Wheeler knew that Nance had outshined you, still being younger than you. That terribly tumbled apart as soon as Nancy confessed that she no longer loved Steve, telling him it was all bullshit, the words that hurt Steve those past nights.

You somehow got ahold of him, to get over the breakup as the two of you fought for the fate of the world along the group of kids, Mike’s friends, bringing you guys closer, leading up to confessing their feelings for one another.

“Steve I’d think it would be a bad idea.”

”How would it be a bad idea if we never tried it?” Steve cheekily grins, placing a warm kiss on your thin lips, smiling between them. You pushed his chest away with your hands, making him whine, “One more kiss come on! Or else we’ll have to go to the dinner!!”

You placed a notebook to block his wildly handsome face from kissing you again, giggling hysterically, “No, that’s my final answer.”

Steve had always been so fond about your family, the Wheelers, he knew Mike due to the previous events with the Mind Flayer and has met your mom when he was together with Nancy. But you still think it’d be awkward, you were going to bring your boyfriend, not your friend, nor Nancy’s boyfriend, but yours.

In denial, you always tried to not touch the subject, scared of it going wrong. As you saw Steve pout and cross his arms like a child, he mumbled, “I promised it’ll be ok, just let me go for once.”

”You already went to their house!” You squeaked as your palm hit his shoulder, slapping him playfully.

Steve raises his eyebrows, straightening his face while he sternly stares at you, “Yeah but I went as Nancy’s boyfriend, not yours right? So give me a shot honey.”

“I don’t know,” You started pacing along the hallway to get to class, knowing you were five minutes late, the weirdest thoughts flooding in. What if your parents don’t like the fact you’re with Steve? What if they prefer Nancy with him instead? What if-

Clearing his throat and whispering in your ear, Steve mumbled jokingly, “I know you’re overthinking Y/N.”

“Stop it!” You move a strand of hair from your face, clutching your books tighter, strolling away from him to the hallway of lockers, ���What if it gets awkward? What if my parents don’t like the fact you’re with me!?”

”Can you at least think about it?” He shouts from afar, leaving his arms in the air, trying to get your attention while you tried your best to ignore him.

Soon enough, a teacher peeped their head out of the corresponding room towards the hallway for the source of disruption to find Steve’s tall figure continuing to get your attention, “Harrington! Off to class, you’re late!”

”Right! I’m sorry m’am,” Steve rapidly nods, zooming away to his Basketball period, where he knew for sure he’d get in trouble with the couch for being late. Still awaiting for his proposal to be answered with his loving mess, for a one of a kind dinner with your family, the Wheelers.

”Mike I swear to god you better not embarrass me!” You rush down the rug stairs, fixing your hair as you tucked it behind your ear, chasing your younger brother down. After Steve’s persuasion driving you nuts for that same day you both talked, you finally gave in to bring him over on a Thursday night under one condition, he wasn’t allowed to embarrass you or himself, just to keep things proper, and not awkward between your family.

As the days grew closer to the date of the dinner, the more anxious you got to the point you couldn’t bare to see Steve, keeping you and your thoughts to yourself for the past weeks. It was simple, a simple gathering with your family and boyfriend.

What could go wrong?

Everything and anything. From your parents making you look like a fool to be going out with your sister’s ex to Steve making a terrible impression on them although he’s met them already. You weren’t so logical, you were scared, not nervous but scared. What if this whole dinner would be an awkward disaster full of embarrassment and inconvenience?

But here you were, getting ready for the small event taking place in your home, chasing your brother to shut him up due to his witty comments. Now shoving your little sister Holly softly on the side to clear Mike’s path, he taunted, “Well I’m not the one kissing the pillow thinking it’s Steve! Mwah mwah!”

”Thats not true, Mike!”

You tried to reach to stop Mike from speeding through the kitchen but before you could make any other move, Mrs. Wheeler scolds at you two, “No running inside the house!”

”Sorry mom!” Both you and Mike loudly shout, slowing down your pace, suddenly catching up to Mike by dragging the collar of his blue striped polo.

As he squealed in pain and angst, you tackle him to the couch, tickling his sides on the soft brown cushion, “I got you! Now say it! Surrender!”

”Never!” His high-pitched giggled filled the cozy room, squirming under you, trying to free from your grip. Another wave of the tingles on his ribs were coming back, your fingers moving on his back.

You continued to make him laugh hysterically, lowering your voice to mimicking a villain both of you once watched on tv during a weekend night, “You must proclaim yourself as a liar! Or ye shall face the consequences!”

“I will not surrender-“

Instantly after the sharing of laughter being held by the siblings, you heard the rhythmic chime from the doorbell, Holly was making a fuss about her lack of apple juice in her sippy cup as Nancy tried to leave the porcelain plates on the clothed table in the dining room. You and Mike frantically got up from the couch after your mother was pulling you away apart, “Hey, he’s here!”

Shit.

You knew for a fact your loved one was here, an awful feel of unease aroused, making you tense unlike the past few moments before you heard the doorbell. Steve Harrington was here, at your door, for dinner with your family.

Gulping nervously, you hurried to get the door, but surprisingly Mrs. Wheeler got there before you could stand up from the comfortable couch, your heart pacing at an unstoppable speed, ruffling your top. Mrs. Wheeler opened the wooden door to find that same familiar, attractive face, both Mike and you peering on the side, roses in his hands.

”Mrs. Wheeler!” Steve kindly greets, handing her the bouquet of roses at the door, making her receive them with a soft grin.

“Hey there Steve- oh!” Mrs. Wheeler yelps when Mike harshly shoved you next to your mother, bumping shoulders with her, goofily grinning in front of him.

”Hi Steve,” You childly mimicked, but realizing the fool you made yourself look like, regretting your stupid action you made in front of your boyfriend.

As your mom signaled the brunette to walk inside the welcoming room, Steve lightly pecked your cheek, slightly bringing you closer to himself from the side as both of you solemnly walked inside the warm room. Watching the two of you, Mike made smooching and kissing noises behind you, kicking him in the shin, squeaks of pain coming out of your younger brother’s mouth in order for him to shut up.

And right as you saw Nancy slightly wave at him while walking off rapidly to find Holly for dinnertime, a sense of insecurity rushed in you. You leisurely shifted away from him, his eyes darting towards you knowing that something was up while Mrs. Wheeler rushed to the kitchen for the home cooked meal. Only 5 minutes in of the gathering and you were an anxious mess already, quietly panicking if anything else so terrible would happen, your fingers tapping the side of your thighs where they stood upon you.

“You know you can sit down right?” A gentle voice, your sister’s voice perked in the silence telling Steve. Nancy holding the little one in her arms, moved to sit Holly down as Mike lounged in the wooden chair almost staring you down jokingly to see your funny expressions.

Steve whips his head around, chuckling softly, pulling out a chair for you to sit in, “Yeah, this is why this is a dinner Nancy. You know, for sitting down and eating?”

A silence formed between the five of you, later on creating an awkward melody of chuckles being shared between Nancy and Steve, then turning away from each other, leaving this pit in your stomach at such uncomfortable state. Thoughts. Terrible thoughts rolled in meanwhile you sat which Steve offered to give you, Mike’s eyes widening while drinking the glass of milk being on the top of the table to try his best not to giggle.

Afterwards, Mrs. Wheeler interrupted the awfully weird silence with a fake, cheerful tone you knew wouldn’t be her usual self, carrying in the large plate with roasted chicken. She strictly ushered you and Nancy to bring in the rest of the side dishes from the kitchen out to the dining room as Mike and Steve chatted a little before your father strolled in to greet your boyfriend.

“Chill out Y/N,” Nancy places her thin hand on your left arm calmly, you turned your head around you understand what she was saying, “You seem tense, it’s okay.”

You scoffed at her comment jokingly, placing the bowl of greens onto the table when Nancy put the dish with fresh mashed potatoes as well. All of you took a seat, ready to feast, Steve clearing his throat to speak up, “Thank you so much Mrs. Wheeler for inviting me and for this wonderful dinner.”

“No problem Steve, ever since we met you with Nancy, you’ve been a great guy,” Your mother softly smiled, but changed her expressions once you shot your eyes towards her, “Anyways, enjoy the meal.”

Mumbles of thank yous and your welcomes being shared between one another, beginning to eat the delicious food for the evening. Shakily, you grabbed onto the silver fork, stabbing it into the chicken to eat it, the sound of plates moving around and cups being sipped, you decided to speak up, “Steve has been hanging out with Mike lately, they’re getting alone quite well.”

Your mother’s eyes widened, “Oh really? That seems like fun, having an older brother figure must be pretty cool knowing that Mike has grown up with a house full of girls right?”

Caught off guard from his meal, Mike hesitantly nodded while he falsely smiled, peering over to Steve for an agreement, “Yeah, Mike might be a little trouble with the rest of the boys, but he’s fun to be with at times.”

”A little trouble,” Your brother repeated jokingly under his breath, applying a mischievous look on his face, leaning back onto his chair, “I don’t think Y/N and Steve studying their human anatomy is-“

Before any reactions were being made from the regrettable comment your annoying brother made, Nancy slapped her hand across his mouth to shut up before he said anymore weird nonsense about you and your significant other. Steve worriedly glanced towards you with a beet red tinted face, almost wishing your mom hadn’t heard him while you stuffed your face trying to hide your expression.

“Michael what was that?” Mrs. Wheeler shot up a look towards your brother, laying her fork down with a confused face, “Human anatomy?”

In a stuttering mess, you tried to bring up some lame excuse to cover up along with Steve, you were sick to your core, knowing the stupidity that Mike claimed to be. It could be that your parents would say something terrible, you were flushed in multiple shades of red. You knew this dinner was even more terrible than expected, now your brother was making you and Steve look like a couple of fools, your hands sweating. Nancy chimed in to help between your idiotic stumbling, “It was this code name Mike used with the party and them.”

“Mmm yeah totally!” Steve wearily smiled, readjusting the hem of his red blouse he wore, watching you nod in response, a wave of relief washing inside you, “It’s the most oblivious things that are the most secretive, right Mike?”

Both you and Nancy darted a death glare towards the black-haired boy, who nodded rapidly under the threat of the siblings, “Yeah, Dustin was the one who made it up.”

”Kids these days,” Your father, Mr. Wheeler mumbles, slicing his part of the chicken in half with the butter knife as he shook his head.

Mrs. Wheeler humbly agreed, you mouthed a silent “thank you” towards Nancy’s direction, giving you a kind thumbs up later to kick Mike’s shin under the table, a quiet yelp escaping his lips for the second time. Later, feeling your hands gripping ever so tightly onto Steve’s large ones, being placed on your shaky leg.

Nancy brought up a conversation about an upcoming school event for the seniors at Hawkins High, Steve being able to catch up on the conversation. The mood was slightly calmer than it were before, things lessened up a bit as your harsh grip softened, feeling more balmy. Your boyfriend smiled, while looking off to your mom and dad who were intrigued by the conversation you were all having. Peace at last, worries washed away, it was okay.

Giggles and words were filled the large home, dessert was already handed out, Steve was on a roll to making your parents life along with your siblings, everything had merrily turned out great except the part where your mother talked about your embarrassing stories when you were little. This wasn’t so bad after all, Steve was definitely correct for once.

“Okay I have one more joke,” Your boyfriend sighed happily after the amount of laughter shared, your cheeks almost hurt from smiling too much. Steve set down his spoon then proceeded, “What did the grape say when they squished it?”

Everyone on the table shrugged, waiting for the hilarious response from him, Mike being close to burst into laughter before he said anything until Steve cleared his throat to answer, “Nothing, it just whined a little, get it?”

Once the joke was heard, your family surrounded the room with laughter, Mrs. Wheeler happily sighed after catching her breath, getting up to take the dessert plates back to the kitchen, picking one up at a time. Meanwhile your father and sister chuckled, you smiled like a freak towards Steve who was sitting next to you, holding your hand.

“See? I told you you shouldn’t have worried about his,” He whispers softly, giving you a light kiss, smiling as well, “You’re a lovely mess.”

You smacked his shoulder, earning a laugh from him, “I know I know, but at least I’m your lovely mess right?”

”Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” Both Nancy and Mike, your siblings chanted with cheeky smiles plastered on their face, being in front of you and overhearing your conversation. Steve leaned in and shut his eyes to peck your lips, suddenly you placed a napkin in front of you to avoid him, catching him off guard. Such small act brought your siblings to laugh at him, he shook his head playfully, sniggering along. Maybe this wasn’t so bad, this brought all of you together, it was okay, no, better than okay. I guess it was just Steve’s lovely mess.

The guy was cuter than he’d expected. Okay, that might be a bit of an understatement. The guy was more devilishly handsome and adorable than he’d expected. There, thats a better description. 

The guy was shorter than Alexander, and had a little round face with large eyes and lips. He wore a simple outfit; a dark purple coat, a white shirt and high-risen pants. And he was muttering something under his breath, just standing there motionless, as if waiting for something. Alexander was not too familiar with such a stance, he never waited, not for a thing. He was far too active and productive to wait. I mean, what was the point? Why wait when he could act?

He approached the man, first checking that he had the right guy.

“Pardon me-”

The man turned around with an intrigued look on his face. Alexander’s heart beat sped up, and he felt his palms getting sweaty. He had never seen a cuter man in his life.

“Are you Aaron Burr, sir?”

Burr chuckled: “That depends, who’s asking?”

Ah, so he had a sense of humour to. And the most cheeky adorable gorgeous smile imaginable. Great.

“Oh sure sir, I’m Alexander Hamilton, I’m at your service sir. I have been looking for you”.

Crap, perhaps that last comment sounded creepy. Jeez, it was hard enough for him to have discussions like this in the first place, but the fact that the man was cute made it ten times harder.

But Burr just kept smiling. Oh, that smile. “I’m getting nervous”.

“Sir!”, Alexander interrupted, “I heard your name at Princeton, I was seeking an accelerated course of-”

“Sorry, what was that? Please slow down”, Burr said, a trace of nerves in his eyes too.

Slow, how slow? Slow-motion snail-slow? If he made that joke, would Burr laugh? Well, here goes...

“I heaaaaarrrdd yooooouuurrr naaaaaammmmeee”

Burr chuckled. Again. That chuckle. 

“Haha, very funny”

“Your not easily amused I see”, Alexander joked.

“I am amused, but only mildly”, Burr stated, “Continue”.

“Well, uh, I, uh, heard your name at Princeton”

“Are you okay?”, Burr asked tentatively, stepping closer to Alexander. He could see all of Burr’s features more clearly now, like his scruffy eyebrows, and he felt like he could melt. Was the sweat running down his forehead showing?

“Yeah”, Alex responded, “I’m fine, your just a bit hot. Crap! I mean, it’s just a bit hot”.

Kiss. 

Peck. Smooch. Emotion-backed. Right in the centre of Alexander’s cheek.

Burr’s lips may have been big, but they were delicate against his rough skin.

Burr smiled brightly as he departed, “I think your hot to, Hamilton”.

Alexander blushed, if he wasn’t blushing before, he was now, “What was that for?”

“I’m very good at reading social cues”, Burr said with a shrug, “I knew you had a crush on me from the moment you looked at me. In fact, I think anyone would’ve known”.

Alexander shook his head, how? 

Burr could see the man’s confusion, and found it quite cute. The man was quite cute in general. He had a soothing voice and a shaky posture, and the most beautiful eyes Burr had ever seen.

Alexander kissed his lips, and he returned the kiss. The sun shone bright in the sky. Both Burr and Alex believed in miracles at this point.

When they departed from their second intimate action, Burr let Alexander know everything in his mind. Alex responded with everything in his mind. They stared at each other for a few seconds.

Ten seconds? That was far too generous. There would be no way Burr would catch up if Hamilton even had a five second head start, but ten seconds, jeez! Wondering what on Earth the adorable munchkin was planning, he ran.

Somehow, a civilised greeting had turned into this. A game of chase. Although, Hamilton definitely didn’t mind. He felt careless and free as he ran, wind gushing though his hair.

He saw three other men run behind him. One had a muscly figure and a strong expression, one was skinny and had curly hair tied up in a bun, and the third was Aaron Burr.

“Maquis de’Lafayette”, the skinny man said in a thick French accent, “But just call me Lafayette”

“I’m Herc”, said the muscly one, “We’re all friends of Burr’s”.

“So”, Laurens said, turning to Burr, “Why have we tackled him anyway?”

Burr smirked, “Oh, I think he knows”. Burr crouched down beside Hamilton, the cheekiest look on his face. “Hammy, why do you think Iv’e ordered these men to tackle you, huh?”

Hamilton gulped, and his cheeks went pink, “I, uh, I don’t know Burr”

“You honestly have no idea?” Burr asked in a slightly teasing tone.

“Nup”, Hamilton confirmed, “No idea”.

Burr grinned, “Liar”. 

He dug his finger into Hamilton’s ribs. Hamilton instantly tossed his head back, and began laughing.

Mulligan, realising what was going on, leaned down to pin Hamilton’s arms above his head. The other two men just watched in amusement and delight.

“No-Heheheheherc!”, Hamilton cried, attempting to kick his legs out but failing as Herc held them down.

Burr wiggled his fingers under Hamilton’s arms. His laughter ticked up a pitch, “Nohohoho!”

Hamilton was so red with flusteredness and laughter, but Burr knew that the man was fine. In fact....

Marco’s Feelings (Or How He Lied to Himself Almost the Whole Show): An Analysis, Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of this analysis! If you haven’t read Part 1, you can find it here. If you have, then let’s continue with this analysis, this time dealing with season 2.

(Long post ahead)

Disclaimer: although this is my opinion, I’m basing it on the subtext of the show and not on what I just want to believe. I know I’m a starco shipper, but, honestly, the plot made me like them and not the other way around. I’ve shipped Star and Marco with other people, although, ultimately, I do prefer them with each other because of what I’m about to explain in a bit. So take that in mind.

Season 2 starts right in the aftermath of the season 1 finale, Storm the Castle, with Star getting a new wand and starting to learn important lessons, like dipping down. But wheres does that leave Marco? In this season Marco is beginning to come out of his shell, finally, and sets on the path of becoming the best version of himself. Through meeting Star, he realized he loved going on on adventures, which is something he wants to keep doing. Through his experiences as Princess Turdina, he’s not only becoming the embodiment of free will but also he’s becoming more comfortable in his own skin. As he matures, he also starts becoming more confident. It’s no surprise this is the season he dates Jackie. It’s the culmination of a process in which Marco is finally being daring enough to get what he wants.

But what does it mean for his feelings for Star?

As I explained in Part 1, Marco did an amazing job concealing his feelings for Star right after BMB. His feelings can be seen as strictly platonic from then onwards. However, there are still several things to point out in these platonic interactions which will explain his actions later on. 

When Mr. Candle Cares first aired, a lot of fans were excited because Marco was shown saying “Star and I have recently become smooch buddies” in the trailer, and although that turned out to be a ploy to out Tom, this episode wasn’t a “major loss.” When Tom and Marco are playing ping pong, they begin talking about Star. Now, clearly Tom knows a lot of her. He met her first, they dated for a while and they come from the same dimension. Yet there are things Tom doesn’t like about her, and he complains about Star doing whatever she wants, and Marco states fondly “Yeah, thats Star.” Tom is fundamentally angry and aggressive in the early seasons, and later on we see that, although Tom doesn’t snap at Star anymore, Star does snap at him. They know they have flaws and, although they like each other, they are less accepting of them. Marco knows Star has many flaws, cheating at games included, but the way he states that very simple phrase says a lot. He accepts Star, flaws and all, but not only that, he genuinely still likes her even if they don’t agree in everything. They’ve got each other’s backs. However, the next thing he tells Tom is more relevant.

“It doesn’t matter if you beat me at ping pong or pull out all my organs, you can’t make Star be your girlfriend unless she wants to.”

This ties perfectly to his confession in Here To Help:

“And it was intense at the start and I know it’s in the way.”

“In the way? Marco, why does it have to be bad?”

“It is bad if you don’t want it.”

In BMB it became clear to him Star doesn’t want anything romantic happening between them. Liking Star is not bad in itself, but it is bad if she doesn’t want it. Marco accepts this and moves on (remember that Marco began his journey of free will a little earlier than Star. Although rebellious, Star is not choosing her own path yet. This is relevant for season 4). He doesn’t think Star will ever like him, not when she likes Oskar. But, at this point in time, it’s much easier to push these feelings away. He has his own crush on Jackie and he has a deep friendship with Star. The status quo can continue without chaging anything. 

However, as Marco grows and matures, he wants to change the way things are, not wanting to remain in the same place he has been the whole time (Freeze Day, Red Belt). Unknowingly, he’s defying the status quo and, eventually, it will come down to his relationship with Star. As for our princess, she is also changing, and it comes to a point in which she cannot push her feelings away anymore. 

Before continuing, let’s make some honorable mentions of Marco’s relationship with Star that, although didn’t advance their romantic feelings per se, are important for their overall relationship. First, let’s talk about Star on Wheels, when not only does Marco trust himself enough to save Star, he’s the one saving Star as oppossed to her own crush, which is a subversion of a classic Romantic Interest Saves Protagonist trope... or maybe even then it told us who Star’s real romantic interest was suppossed to be. This episode is also an excercise on trust for the both of them, not only on themselves but on each other. Star is angry at Marco for lying to her when he said he wouldn’t let go, and did, and she has to trust Marco to help her. In the end, the reason why Star was saved was both by believing in Marco and believing in herself.

In Star vs Echo Creek, we see Marco being worried about Star’s whereabouts and him having waited for her the whole time in the police station. This episode is a great example of Star running away from her problems first, and then attempting to solve them after a time of reflection, which is a current them in all seasons in various levels. However, in regards to Marco it tells us that, no matter what Star does, what she chooses or how she acts, Marco is going to be waiting there for her, helping her too.

Marco wanting to show Star one of the many amazing things on Earth since she’s shown him so many amazing things already in Camping Trip speaks about Marco trying to reciprocate all she’s given him. Also, River questions the nature of their relationship, which, again, is a way to remind the audience of the possibility of Starco happening.

The other episodes are not really worth talking about in terms of Marco’s feelings for Star and their relationship other than them being best friends. So let us move on to Sleepover, or the episode that pretty much broke the status quo, at least for the audience. After someone lied to the truth box, we, as the audience, are confronted with the fact someone lied. It could’ve been Janna, who some thought had a crush on Marco. It could’ve been Jackie, when she said she liked that boy from camp. And there was no way the person who lied was StarFan13. So, we’re given too obvious choices: either Marco or Star lied. And when it is not only told by the truth box that Marco wasn’t the one who lied, we’re confronted with the fact it is Star who lied. At the end, we are told why she lied and the truth is revealed: she has a crush on Marco. 

What is interesting to note is that Star’s feelings are the ones that are spelled out to us during the second season, and they were never that obvious with Marco in the first season or even in this one. I’m guessing it has to do with Star being the protagonist, but it also has to do with their personalities. Star is more of an open book. She shares her feelings and thoughts. And being so impulsive, eventually she was going to reveal everything she was feeling. Marco, on the other hand, is introverted and he’s the type of person who thinks things through. Having Marco’s feelings be hidden in comparison to Star’s, and only being something you have to pick up from the subtext or the imagery instead of being spelled out for you, is definitely in character and if it is something done on purpose, I commend the writing and animation teams for that.

In Sleepover we have two very interesting speeches that not only tells us things about the way Marco and Star think and feel, but they are things which can be applied to their relationships with other people as well as with each other. I will talk about Marco’s speech about Jackie later, but it’s interesting that not only do Star’s words tie in with what she was feeling at the moment, they also pretty much can relate to Marco. The idea that feelings are not black and white, that when your heart and mind don’t agree, it is difficult to know the truth, is something Marco wrestles with right until Here to Help. By pushing his feelings away, he’s trying to obey his own mind because he knows that by listening to his heart there’s more left to lose. Later on, we know that the longer this went on, the longer it affected Marco until he couldn’t hide his feelings anymore. But, at this moment, Marco is deep in denial. It all comes back to BMB and the conversation he had with Star. Marco here is in “be her best friend” mode, and he will continue down this path until almost the finale.

Now, at the end of Sleepover, there is tension between our two mainc characters. Tension in writing, specially when it comes to film and TV is super important and it is the foundation of any screenplay. Here, our characters are put into two conflicting positions. We, as the audience, know something is going to go down between them after this point, but we don’t know how or when, until we keep watching the rest of the seasons, which, if you actually did at the same time the episodes aired, it took years. This just adds to the suspense, which remember is always more important than the surprise. However, the characters themselves don’t know things are about to change. Star is running away from her feelings, and Marco, who already went through a similar process before his feelings were much stronger, remains oblivious. This part is incredibly relevant because the writers used this tension to not only introduce the idea of a love triangle later on, but it’s the main reason the romantic drama got dragged on for so long. Basically, they wanted to keep us on our toes, and boy did they succeed!

Before moving on with the rest of the episodes in which basically stuff goes down in terms of relationship drama, I just want to say that in many season 2 episodes we’re shown how important Star and Marco are to each other, which is not only important for the season finale and during the events of Battle for Mewni, but for the final episode of the whole series. Although Star and Marco became best friends fast after the first episode, their relationship kept growing on key episodes until we realize their relationship, be it friendship or something more, is not only the foundation of the show but it’s an integral part of their lives, and this is more obvious when we realize they will never let anything come in between them.

One of the best episodes to illustrate just how important Star is to Marco is during Gift of the Card, when, at the end, Marco is willing to die with Star. I mean, it was played for jokes and we knew they weren’t going to actually explode, but they didn’t know that. Marco was truly comforted by knowing he’d die next to Star, and that speaks volumes of what he thinks and feels for her more than anything else he could have done back then. It’s also sweet that when she’s crying, he’s the one t comfort her by hugging her.

It’s also great how their apologies parallel their personalities. When Star apologizes for not telling him about the card’s expiration date, she’s apologizing for not thinking things through and acting rashly. When Marco apologizes for being picky, he’s apologizing for overthinking. It is interesting to note that these flaws are the same ones which kept them apart until they matured. It almost feels like they were apologizing in advance for what was about to come.

And now, after many plot-centric episodes and other shenanigans we find the controversial Naysaya. This episode, among others, is used by some people to prove that Marco lied and he didn’t have feelings for Star then (which also contradicts the Blood Moon being a curse, but oh well). In this episode, a curse Tom put on Marco since BMB starts acting up in the form of a little head growing on Marco’s neck that says embarrassing things each time he tries to ask Jackie out. The episode ends with Jackie and Marco hanging out, and that’s pretty much the start of their relationship. As for the arguments that invalidate Marco’s feelings for being there, is that the curse didn’t act out in front of Star, and that Marco was attempting to ask Jackie out, and not Star. So, here’s the thing, 

Let’s talk about Jackie and Marco’s feelings for her first:

We know that Marco has had a huge crush on her since they were kids (Freeze Day) but that he’s been unable to have an actual relationship with her. Sure, he nods at her in the hallways and he sends her cat memes and the like, but they’re more acquaintances than friends at this point. Jackie was even surprised to learn Marco had a crush on her, as she had no idea about it. So what do they really know about each other? It’s merely superficial at this point, but Marco wants to change that. Let’s analyze his speech during Sleepover:

“I told you! I have a crush on Jackie... At least I think I do. But what does that really mean? I’ve put her on this sort of pedestal, so do I like the image of her or for who she really is? I mean, I like her enough to know that she deserves someone who wants to get to know her, which is definitely me.”

Marco likes Jackie. The fact that he likes her does not invalidate any feelings he has for Star in this moment, especially when he’s deep in denial. Star pretty much doomed them back in BMB, by expressing her needing a friend, and so Marco pushed those intense feelings deep, deep inside of him and convinced himself that what he felt for Star was just friendship, and shut out any other potential romantic feelings. It’s not that his confession in Here to Help is a lie, it’s just based on the grounds that, in this specific moment I’m analyzing, he had lied to himself so much, that he genuinely believed the only girl he liked was Jackie. He had liked her for forever, in fact. It was easier to like Jackie than to like Star, and it was more convenient for him to have an unachievable crush because there was no fear of rejection. Marco’s a safe kid in this moment in the series, he’s not about to stop liking Jackie for something that has no possibility of going anywhere. Marco, knowingly or unknowingly, made a choice. And, as he began changing and fighting for what he wanted, he chose to get to know Jackie better and see if there was actually potential for a committed relationship, which translates to the potential of loving her. Marco does not love Jackie. But he likes her enough to want to know the real her, as he himself stated.

Now, why did Jackie start liking Marco? One of the complains was that it came out of nowhere. First, because she was moved by his heartfelt words during Sleepover, and, come on, who can blame her? I think any of us would start considering someone as a potential partner after hearing they want to get to know us better, and not because of shallow reasons. Secondly, he was honest with her both in Sleepover and Naysaya, and it adds up with what we know of Jackie. At her core, she’s honest and likes keeping it real. Marco being honest as well is an appealing trait. It’s no wonder she asked him out first to the movies and then to the dance in Bon Bon the Birthday Clown. 

BBtBC is another episode which broke the fandom and it is the start of Star realizing her feelings for Marco. What does it mean for Marco, though? Well, for one, he is fulfilling his years-long wish of dating Jackie-Lynn Thomas. However, that does not get in the way of the importance Star has in his life. Now, this episode is also proof that the Blood Moon was actually a curse, or at least it was used to prove Starco was forced or something by anti shippers way back then. Honestly, I didn’t take the Blood Moon appearing after Marco and Jackie’s first kiss as a sign that it was getting in the way of their blossoming relationship, and that it was forcing him to Star’s side. I took it as the Blood Moon warning Marco that Star was in danger, because just before the kiss, Star was fighting against Ludo, who was there to take her Book of Spells and Glossaryck with it. Marco’s reaction after seeing the moon was checking his phone, which showed all of Star’s missed calls and he assumed she was in trouble (which she was) and went to help her. And, honestly, I’m glad he went, because if he hadn’t, Star might have been sucked inside that portal. Anyway, I cannot refute the claim that this showed the Blood Moon was actually a curse, although I still believe the writers had to retcon it after how badly the fandom reacted to Booth Buddies. If, actually, we think the Blood Moon was just truly uniting them as souls, the finale and how they cleaved Mewni and Earth together with their magic makes more sense, but let’s not go into those details, yet.

Another interesting part of this episode is that Marco is confronted with a tough choice: stopping Ludo from taking the book or saving Star. And the guy doesn’t hesitate. He goes right away to save her, and even when Star warns him that he could be pulled into the portal too, he exclaims��“I’m not letting go!” And boooy, can this very phrase be applied to his relationship with Star. He has never let go of her. Each and every time Star has been in trouble, Marco has been there for her. Through ups and downs, through all the heartbreak, he’s been right by her side. And that, my friends, is beautiful.

Okay, next he helps Star up first, and even if he then goes to Jackie’s side (which makes Star jealous and it hurts her), this is an early indication of how the Jarco relationship will go next. Star comes first. She always has and always will. Jackie realizes this later on, but for now, that was our next clue. 

Final thought on BBtBC. When Star starts crying about her missing book, Marco instantly goes to comfort her and he hugs her, but as they hug she announces that she “lost Glossaryck” and that greatly upsets Marco. I’ve always felt, even if they didn’t truly touch on this in the show, that he felt incredibly guilty of the part he played in that situation. I mean, just look at his face after Star says that:

But, I also think, Marco doesn’t regret that choice, and that’s probably why it was never touched upon later on.

Well, in following non-drama related episodes, Star does not act jealous again and, meanwhile, Marco continues being her voice of reason, as he usually is, until Running with Scissors, another episode which cleaved the fandom in two. As for my personal belief of what happens with Marco after he returns to Earth is what Adam McArthur said: it’s like a dream, and he starts forgetting details as he returns to normal. Or we can say there are two Marcos, our normal one and Adult Marco. What I can say is that regardless of our interpretation of Marco’s state of mind after his adventures in this episode, is that the experience made Marco way more confident than he was beofre, and it adds to Marco’s sense of adventure. It’s clear that Marco likes living adventures and not being a normal teenager, which will come into play in Sophomore Slump. As for Marco’s feelings for Star, well, she is the one that convinces Marco to come back home:

“What about your parents? Or your friends? Or me?”

Which is a pretty big deal, considering that the idea of seeing his parents again wasn’t the one that drew him in, but not seeing Star again did.

Now, let’s move on to Heinous, when Star is Marco’s inspiration to thwart Heinous’ plans and giving a very sarcastic message instead of actually attempting to tell other princesses to give up their individualities.

With this episode we finally are through the non-shipping episodes, and now the real trouble starts.

Since this is so long already, I’ll analyze Just Friends through Battle for Mewni in the next post.

it should come as no surprise that hoseok loves to do for other people, especially for you. whatever it was you needed him to do he would do it in a heartbeat. you needed a new pair of pants because you spilled coffee on your old ones? hoseok was already on his way to the mall as soon as you told him. you had a really bad day at work and you wanted takeout and a movie night in? hoseok has your favorite takeout place on speed dial and your order memorized and could make it to your apartment in 10 minutes flat with your favorite movie. you were his angel, his world, and he loved doing things for you. hoseok always made it known that you could count on him, constantly telling you that it didn’t matter how busy he was or what he was doing. reminding you that he would always drop whatever it was and help you in any way he could. this made touring a little difficult for him, seeing as how he wouldn’t be able to stop in the middle of a show to help you if you needed him but you knew he would help you as soon as he could. there was one time, however, where in the middle of a show he had gotten a message from your coworker telling him that you had fallen at work and were rushed to the hospital. it wasn’t anything major, just a preemptive trip to make sure you didn’t break any bones from the fall but it was still enough to plant that seed of worry in hoseok. what made this worse was the fact that he was in the middle of a show, in between songs and getting a quick change when he had heard the news from a staff member. they tried to reassure him that you were okay and that you weren’t actually hurt that badly, that your coworker just wanted to make sure you hadn’t broken any bones but it was still enough to drive hoseok mad. he tried to brush it off for the rest of the show and not worry ARMY but you were all he could think about. of course he immediately thought of all the worst case scenarios he could, like you being stuck at the hospital all by yourself because your friend had to leave, or you having broken every bone in your body and having to be put in a full body cast for a couple of months and many other unlikely scenarios. as soon as the show had ended, he rushed off stage to video call you, not even bothering with a text to make sure you were still up. his heart was relieved for a split second when you answered on the second ring, and he didn’t even let you speak before he was already blubbering off his concerns.

“oh god angel I’m glad you answered, I got the text from your coworker saying you were in the hospital as we were in the middle of the show and I was so worried about you. are you okay? did you break anything? do I need to sue your company for the fall? psychological damage that you may have suffered? god baby I’m so sorry I’m not there to sit with you in the hospital right now and- wait, are you at home?” hoseok furrowed his eyebrows and squinted down at his phone screen as you leaned your head back to let out a loud laugh. he backs away from his intense staring with his lips down in a frown and a pout on his face, waiting for you to explain.

“I got out of the hospital like, an hour ago love. it was just a trip to make sure I didn’t break anything, which I didn’t, I just twisted my ankle s’all.” as you spoke you could watch the worry physically drain itself from hobi’s face, his heart shaped smile beginning to form itself on his lips at the thought of you being okay.

“oh thank god, y/n I couldn’t even begin to tell you how worried I was about you, I was starting to wonder if management would let me fly home to see you in case you had been put in a full body cast or something.” now you both laughed, hoseok blushing slightly at how ridiculous he sounded but you assured him that you loved it, loved him for caring so much about you and being ready to do whatever he needed to take care of you. you meant a lot to him, and he would be willing to give you his heart in a split second if you needed it, that’s how much he loved you. 

“cause i love you and i'd like to spend forever in the subtle warmth inside your arms”

hoseok’s favorite thing to do with you has to without a doubt be cuddling. he loves it when you cuddle him or he cuddles you, he doesn’t mind either position as long as he can feel the warmth radiating off of your body and onto his. he loves holding you close, head pressed up against his chest so you can hear his heartbeat while his hand runs through your hair as he talks to you about his day and you talk to him about yours. hoseok always wants to be touching you in some way whether it be hugging or cuddling or holding hands, he always wants to feel your warmth. whenever you go out in public he is holding your hand, if you have to separate for whatever reason he always makes sure you part with a hug and if you guys are just spending time at the dorm or at your apartment you better believe you’re cuddled up on the couch together. hoseok loves it the most when he wakes up with you in his arms, the way you’re always wrapped up in his embrace like you haven’t moved since you fell asleep in the same position. he loves it when it’s raining really heavily and you beg him to sit out in the living room with you, huddled up on the couch with your favorite blanket and a movie on the tv, drowned out by the sound of the rain hitting the glass of your window. he loves it when you rest your head on his shoulder while gazing at something, whether it be your phone or whatever else may be holding your attention and he just enjoys being close to you, and he never wants to let you go.

one of hoseok’s favorite memories with you is whenever he had a day off and you insisted on dancing with him, since he would continue to practice even if he was meant to be relaxing. the day usually goes something like this, you begin by sitting in the living room and watching him dance, then he insists on teaching you some of the moves so now you’re up and dancing with him and then eventually you convince him to do some kind of slow dance with you as a cool down from earlier. he would never admit it but he loves it when his days off go like this, getting some practice in and then ending it with you and him slow dancing while your bluetooth speaker plays whatever love song you have in your playlist. he loves holding you by the waist, watching as you lean your head forward on his chest while you dance, hands intertwined and the soft sounds of your breath mingling as you sway together in the living room. hoseok will begin his kiss attacks with simple smooches to you hair, and then gradually makes his way down to your face after you’ve removed it from the warmth of his chest to look up at him. he starts his descent at your forehead, leaving a kiss there before travelling to your nose, and then both cheeks, your chin, the corners of your mouth and then finally landing on your lips. the kiss is always soft and sweet and makes butterflies erupt in your stomach and you can’t get enough of him which leads into a makeout session. hoseok’s hands grip your waist a little tighter as your hands move to play with the hairs at the nape of his neck, not once breaking apart for air. you continue like that for what feels like hours, just holding each other and sharing kisses under the dim lighting in your living room until hoseok’s stomach begins to growl louder than the music playing in the background and you break apart with a laugh, walking into the kitchen together to prepare a meal.

“cause we can both hear the compliments coming in from these pals of mine and I've been wondering if you would be my valentine”

hoseok remembers back in highschool, when you had just started dating, and valentine’s day approaching faster than he would have liked. he was nervous seeing as it was the first holiday you would be spending together as a couple and he wanted it to be perfect. his friends had encouraged him, telling him they would help him with any planning or preparations he had. what he really wanted to do was take you out for a picnic date at the park you really liked that was a bit of a drive out of town and then watch the stars with you. he tells his friends about his plan in hopes that they will get the hint to leave him alone, but something about the way they smile at him after he’s done speaking tells him otherwise. brushing it off, he waits for you in the school’s parking lot and gets ready to put his plan into action. when you get into his car, he starts to drive towards the location of the park which is on the opposite side of town where you both live. you’re confused, and look over to ask him what he’s doing to which you only get a “you’ll see” out of him. you sit back and enjoy the ride, wondering what he could possibly have planned for today. when you arrive at the park the sun has begun its descent and hobi is quick to pull you out of his car and towards the location of the picnic dinner he has had set up for the past few hours. you laugh at his enthusiasm only to be wowed by the location for which he has picked out. the spot he found has a perfect overview of the horizon ahead, and it perfectly shows off the current setting sun and all of the orange pink and purple hues stemming from it. you stand there in awe, mouth hung open as you watch the sun set and hoseok can’t help but take a couple photos of you, some from a few feet behind you showing off both the setting sun and your silhouetted frame. he smiles down at the photos before walking up behind you and wrapping you up in a hug, head placed on your shoulder as he places soft kisses into the crook of your neck. you giggle before attempting to get away from him, claiming that his shows of affection tickle and that you want to eat. he leads you back over to the blanket and begins to pull out the food he had prepared. to your surprise, he pulls out a bunch of fruits and what looks to be kimchi made from scratch. you look up at him in awe while a blush blossoms on his cheeks. he dishes out the servings of food between the two of you before starting to eat, striking up conversation with you about school that day and what plans you had for the weekend. after you both finish eating and the sun has promptly set, he asks you to lay down with him on the blanket to stargaze for a little. it takes you by surprise, seeing as hoseok has never addressed the idea of finding stargazing particularly interesting but you assume that maybe he had seen posts about it on twitter or instagram pertaining to how it was a cute date idea. you lay hand in hand and watch the stars for about an hour before you pack up to go home, the cold air beginning to nip at your skin and creating goosebumps. once you’re back inside his car hoseok pulls out one last surprise gift for you. you assume it’s a ring, considering the box he occupies in his hands is too small to contain a necklace or bracelet and you feel your heartbeat begin to pick up. hoseok smiles before opening the case and showing off a beautiful gold promise ring set, one for you and one for him. he takes the one meant for you out and begins to place it on your ring finger as he speaks softly. 

“I got these because even though we just started dating, we’ve known each other our whole lives and I can’t imagine the rest of my life being with anyone else but you. I want to continue making memories with you and I want to build my future with you, y/n. so I want us to make a promise that we will always be there for each other.” hoseok looks back up from your hand with a smile on his face as he finishes talking and you quickly lean forward to place a chaste kiss on his lips. “of course I want to spend the rest of my life with you hobi, I promise.” you extend your pinky finger for him to latch onto and he does so with a small laugh, leaning forward to kiss you again. it isn’t until you hear whooping and hollering from outside that you pull away, looking around quickly to spot the source of the noise. hoseok rolls his eyes and leans his head back until it hits the headrest, promptly bringing his hands up to run down his face with a groan. “I knew they were going to follow us here.” he mumbles before his friends arrive at the driver’s side window, smirks plastered on their faces as they show hoseok a big thumbs up. when he turns to unlock the door their expressions all drop, quickly running off into the direction of their own cars in order to escape hoseok’s wrath. you laugh from the passenger's seat as you watch him chase his friends around the parking lot, yelling about how they “need to respect his privacy” and “can’t you guys get your own girlfriend instead of living vicariously through me?!” 

when he finally gets them to leave and has returned to his spot behind the wheel he turns to apologize to you, “as you can see, they were very excited for our valentines plans, and they wanted to see if you would turn me down or something I’m not too sure what they were expecting.” but all you can do is laugh some more and tell him that you didn’t mind, that you thought it was cute his friends wanted to see how things would turn out, and maybe they would finally listen to hobi and stop living as though you were their girlfriend as well.

good things that happened today:

i got out of bed on my own and got ready for school w/o too much difficulty!!

even so my brother was still nice enough to check up on me a couple times to make sure i was doing ok, and later drove me to school :D he ruffled my hair when we got there and told me to have a good day

i really really tried hard to understand what the ufck i was reading (since im taking classes on the computer) w/o getting distracted, and i was able to focus today and actually learn and comprehend some GEOMETRY shit today

i only have one more thing to do with that same geometry class before im done with it!! granted the next class is geometry B .. but still!!

they’re letting us have a break class in third period again, so we can have art classes again!!!

today was like the third day of it bein back, and my instructor complimented my work on the assignment a lot!! i think he noticed i was a little nervous about being slower and more precise than the other kids, and went out of his way to reassure me by saying my art technique was similar to artists in the renaissance period- “you keep building and building and building on something, focusing on all the little details to make something perfect” and i was like oh man... thank u..??!! i was genuinely moved asdfhjfk

our school was basically like fuck it and faked that fire drill i mentioned before jsut so we could get out for the weekend a whole hour early.....

it really was honestly so pretty out while i was waitin for my dad to come pick me up, like i rambled about it in the tags of that post but it was such a nice day out.. there was just the right amount of wind and it was refreshingly cool and breezy, and it was easy to tell that flowers were poppin back up and everythin was like .. fillin up with life almost, it made me realize how different things have been over the past year or two and how yes, i really am alive and standing here, at my school where i have good grades and the ideal schedule and i have no reason to panic about it anymore, and how im going home to a supportive family and good friends and a safe corner of the world meant for me and my family, how just. wonderful it is to be here right in that moment and to have made it from the darkest period of my life. it was an amazing feeling!! like its hard to describe it... i was just proud of myself for being able to recognize how much things have changed for the better and how i made it, how im still alive. it was so so nice

plus my dad bought me celebratory raising cane’s on the way home from school!!!!!!!!!!!

there’s a website that is an ongoing developing project managed by partners of the seoul dynasty that works as a kind of VOD reviewer (for overwatch obvi!!) that im a beta user of! they have a discord server im a part of too, and the other day they made an announcement that they released all these brand new features a lot of us users have been lookin forward to for awhile, and today i got to see them for myself!!! its quite impressive!!

i got sleepy after eating the food my dad bought for me, like im talkin my eyes were gettin too heavy and i was starting to doze off in my chair, and for a moment i was worried that if i went to bed now my schedule would be all messed up for tomorrow, but then i realized i dont have school tomorrow so i said fuck it nd wen to bed!!!!!!!!!

i curled up with my cat on my bed and i kind of haphazardly took off my glasses and placed them somewhere on the bed.. before i was out like a LIGHT

i was sleepin in a weird position (like quite literally curled up right beside my kitty and right on the edge of the bed) and my brother actually poked his head in and asked me if i was ok hshfgh.. he was reassured when i told him ya .. im just out here sleepin..

i woke up a couple times in the night but it was just to make sure i wasnt disturbing friday too much with my presence, and each time i gave her a lil smooch she would chirp instinctively and start to purr

i woke up just now for the same reason but also so that i could finish writing all this down because while it may not seem like much i felt absolutely compelled to do this today .. i think ill brush my teeth nd wash my face real fast before hittin the hay again

i felt and still feel very grateful for all that i have right now .. like all the basic stuff people tend to take for granted, like food and water and a place to sleep. but i know im especially lucky in that i have a good relationship with my family and friends, i have an education and a future, i have clothes and shoes and even bits and pieces of jewelry, i dont have any medical conditions or injuries, i can see and hear and smell and touch, im safe and happy with everything in my life right now and im very conscious of that fact pretty much daily.. sometimes it feels like i disassociate almost, because very often i take everything in and i stare at everything and all the details. like..

these are my hands, those are mine, that door looks like its made of wood and you remember when they worked on the transition right there from tile to wood, you have a cat in front of you right now that had a whole nother life before she came here, but everything aligned just right so that now shes here in front of you and just about as blissful of her ability to take a cozy nap right now as you are, like its really all sinking in on a daily basis and has been for as long as i can remember, except its not the typical dysphoric-like disassociation people normally experience, i think.. its like a good thing! 

and on that note im grateful that im grateful, if that makes sense.. im glad i can realize i have all this and that i can appreciate it for what it is because the ability to do that is typically missing from most peoples lives until they lose what they have and its too late.. maybe im talking too much about it but the best way i can describe it is like being aware of your consciousness and your presence, plus the presence of every little thing around you so that you realize you are here, but in a way that isnt overwhelming and more fascinating and wonderful. i like it a lot 

im still here! im still kickin!!! and chances are i will be tomorrow too, and the day after that and so on so forth .. i recognize ill have bad days and days in between but im still alive and right now i think thats enough

it was a quiet night 

you had just had the busiest week of a hectic month 

so you got a little clingier with zen

he enjoyed it happy to have some relax time

the phone was ringing in the other room making zen have to leave to grab it

this already made you nervous 

who was calling in the middle of the night

with zen gone you didn’t feel safe

at any gust of wind you jumped 

at any creak in the house you jumped 

any noise sent your anxiety off

you couldn’t stop thinking of what could happen

you were so deep in your thoughts you didn’t notice zen in the kitchen

he suddenly dropped a glass and you couldn’t stop you anxiety

you thought unknown was going to get you again and you started to cry and hyperventilate

you just couldn’t control your thoughts

luckily zen noticed and came over to you and pulled you close

“hey babe I’m here! i just dropped a glass I’m sorry it scared you!”

you just hug him tightly thankful it wasn’t who you thought it was

you just cry for a bit shaking

he knows about your anxiety as he probably had to help comfort you

you then are thinking about how stupid it is that a game is making you freak out but he doesn’t think so

he rushes to get tea going and he quickly puts on cute animal videos while you are at the compute and has you get up so you can both sit there

this helps distract you and you laugh sniffling at the silly kittens

next thing you know you are asleep on him and he doesnt know what to do

but she simply cleans up the mess and gives you slippers in case any stray glass got anywhere 

she makes some tea for you to calm down and gets you a blanket and plays some recordings of zen singing because that’s what helps her 

she gives you a hug and a kiss and makes sure you are ok and decides to help you with the work

Alexis doesn’t particularly like much about himself, but values his honor.Bivir loved their hands. Alexis sleeps with like, seven. Some of which are rather large. If that’s unavailable, two pillows.Damien sleeps with three pillows, practically sitting up. Solange sleeps with one pillow, out of habit. Vita doesnt sleep.

Alexis wears his heart on his sleeve, but will never tell verbally/ Bivir is extremely good at keeping secrets, and equally good at making sure no one suspects they have any in the first place.Damien keeps secrets, but mostly out of anxiety. Solange keeps so many secrets.Vita doesn’t much care for it, but keeps secrets.

Alexis is a suburban boy, but he’d find living in the city very convenient. Bivir was raised in a hunter-gatherer community, and likes the compromise between that and city that they’ve noticed in the suburbs.Damien is a city boy, and would like to experience all the other ways of life.Solange couldn’t imagine not living in the city.Vita doesn’t care where she is, so long as shes with friends.

Alexis isn’t a blanket hog, but he’d be the sort of person to try and preemptively discourage blanket hogging by having separate blankets for everyone in the bed.Bivir isn’t a blanket hog unless they’re having a nightmare.Damien is totally a blanket hog.
