shiv's motivations for voting to pass the gojo deal are so layered and i don't think they should be dismissed in favour of any one interpretation. shiv desperately grabbed on to a lifeline for her relationship with tom. shiv was the deciding vote and she couldn't bear to hold the crown only for a moment just to place it atop her brother's head. shiv knew she would have more influence as wife of CEO rather than sister of CEO. shiv absolutely hated seeing kendall crystallize into logan before her eyes, especially when he made roman bleed ("and if we did kill him we get to go to bed") -- succession has always been about siblings so of course she tried to free her brothers before her child. shiv still thinks she can raise her child with all the material benefits of being the daughter of waystar CEO while doing better by her, whatever that means. and all of those things are true
Listen, I recognize the trope of two male characters acting queer as a comic relief/plain queerbaiting.
And I hate the 2010s throwback of flat female characters being there just for the sake of it with barely any lines.
But
BUT
The sheer potential of Vanessa, Deadpool's girl to get, who's had like 10 lines in three movies and that movie-Wade loves beyond reason somehow, playing the ex Wade can't seem to be able to let go in a FF, fueling a very angsty/what are we?/You go back to her and I go back to black moment for Logan. (sorry bub)
I've been thinking about this song + JGY for a long time ("I get my hands dirty, I show up so early, they show me no mercy, so I just keep working" hello???? hello??????), and I would like to personally thank ZZJ for his wonderful face and brilliant acting 🙏
funniest and most heartwarming thing i rediscovered on my rewatch is when karin roasts sakura about poisoning naruto and then kakashi, who loves all of his kids very much and understands their behavior and isn’t upset with them about their choices but has also been under ABSURD amounts of stress for all of season 10, just bursts out laughing ❤️
OK, but the way Pan spends the entire game trying to save his own hide, make sure it wasn't his fault Calliope died and to hide his involvement but if romanced he steps up to threaten Athena. Like, it's almost expected from the others (e.g. Apollo stood up to Athena, though subtly, the very first time we saw him and Persephone is Persephone) but it's such a pleasant surprise from Pan. Even in the friendship route, if you call on him to stand by you, Athena is surprised that he does.
