I've... never been so enamoured by a character the way I am with Deku, it's wild. The closest is probably that anglerfish from finding nemo who was two-year-old me's muse
He's just got such a silly expressive face it's not my faulttt

every time I remember that the hit show supernatural made God, the literal God from the Bible, canonically bisexual but couldn’t do the same with a random guy who hunts monsters it actually makes me feel physically ill.. like blasphemy is okay but we draw the line at making the main character a little bit queer because it would “upset the heterosexuals men”? okay ig… and it’s so funny to me that they tried SO bad to make dean like really really straight and macho and a manly womanizer (I mean dude has literal porn brain and is obsessed with cars and is a film nerd) And still is the number 1 bissexual boy.. I mean no one that into cowboys is 100% straight 🙄 and if they actually wanted him to be that much of a cishet guy WHY would they make him have a codependent homosexual friendship with his best friend for more than a decade ?? and we have so much subtext to corroborates it that it’s actually insane.
and it’s also rlly funny to me that sam would be the most obvious choice for a queer storyline. like i’m not sure this is true but i heard somewhere that he actually was supposed to like be lgbt and that it’s implied in the show he’s pan bc he basically have sex w/ everyone and doesn’t care (like monsters and stuff). i wholeheartedly disagree bc sure he hited a demon and a werewolf and a kitsune and God knows what more But it still were just women and for me he’s still just straight 💀 we do have gabriel however and i would say that’s a valid argument but i don’t actually like them together because of the whole torturing-sam-every-tuesday-over-and-over-again but it’s still a good take ig. again this is just my opinion But anyways doesn’t matter my point Is that sam always felt like a freak and wanted to be normal and like was more open minded and “less-macho-toxic-behavior” than dean. he was a theater kid and talked about his feelings and all. STILL THO dean went and become The bissexual icon (Not Sam, Dean!!). and the fact that he was more manly actually only emphasized to his sexuality (and him being closeted) and sam being the straight one, and bare with me here. as sam winchester once wisely said “well you are kind of butch they probably think you're compinsating.” (to dean asking why people always assumed they were gay) and like this is so true, sam always felt comfortable in himself and like his nerdier and less cool strong man personality. But dean, oh, dean, no, no, no. and it could all be linked to john. we know how much dean wanted to gain his father approval and respect, all he ever wanted was for john to be proud of him. so he’d listen to the same music as john, same clothes… and so on. but when we really see a glance of him, we realize he’s actually much more “““girly””” (sorry for the term i lacked a better one) than he shows, Especially when compared to sam—who’s supposed to be the more girly one (again sorry for the term lol) or whatever. dean canonically likes taylor swift, chick flick films, actually liked when a woman made him wear underwear, the bailarinas shoe were “speaking to him” in that one ep of cursed objects, and so on. and every time he makes fun of sam for doing something not-manly-enough (like drinking lemon water or drinking from tiny coups) he eventually goes and do the same thing 😭 and i’m 100% sure that the writers just thought “haha funny scene this really straight deadly man does something not so convencional/more feminine(?) haha comedy relief time!!” but it actually just made him have a whole perfect queer background developed in the series. specially with the fact that He Does Overcompensate. why is he always flirting with women, why is he so butch and scary, always talking about straight sex and so on? because he’s really just deep in the closet. and it makes so much sense with john being his father, with him having to hunt two lesbians nuns in his 17 bday, always having to be strong and macho and cool and perfect—and therefore straight. even without cas, dean really does immaculate the bissexual experience and i’m so sorry but this is just true.
and now pointing to the subtext that i mentioned in the first paragraph (lol i can’t believe i’m making a whole rant as to why dean winchester is a confirmed bisexual), that whole confession to that priest where he says he wants experience new feelings, new people, FOR THE FIRST TIME. that always that the show mentioned a gay couple it ALWAYS focused on dean—not sam, DEAN. the gay hunters, the gay couple on the bar that the cupid “made”, the two cosplayers partners… the fact that every time that dean liked something it was borderline fangirl (gay) obsessive (the dr. sexy episode, that wrestler fighter). he Had a gay thing—and was all flustered about it. he flirted with a guy throughout charlie. THE MALE SIREN. the male siren like after that ep i was 100% convinced that man was not straight. he had a hot demon sumer with crowley?!!! and it’s so funny to me that not one of these things involves castiel, so if they really wanted to make dean be that straight why would they do that?? and only to dean, not even once to sam. Like. and not to mention all the homoeretic tension with benny??? sam never had a male best friend like that.. all of that and i didn’t even entered on destiel. Because this then really just confirms that he is Not straight. even if he wasn’t In Love with cas, they had something going on and the fact that if cas was a girl it would 100% be canon and filmed and Everyone would ship—and I really mean everyone—it just makes me go fucking insane. they could’ve had it all. the fanfic episodes, the parallels between dean and cas and “real couples”, ruby and cas duality and the fact that sam indeed had a relationship w/ her. Anyway i’m a # bi dean truth believer and i know this bc same boy # happy pride month to my fav bissexual boy in the whole world
also to anyone that says that “destiel” was unrequited love yes it kinda of was but only bc dean was so deep in the closet, he did love cas. he was indeed a bissexual man. i’ll die on that hill.

Byler Fics List: the Grown-ups
I adore Stranger Things adult characters, here are some fics where they play an important part:
Until you wake up by Roxhylee Will is in a coma and Mike visits him every day. This one has some of the most thoughtful Ted-and-Mike chapters and an interesting take on Ted <3
Wedding at the End of the World (What do We Have to Lose?) by Julia_Skysong "Hang on, hang on," Jonathan interrupted, frowning slightly. "Let me do the math here. You've only been a…thing, for like a few days? And you want to get married?" "Dude, you're gonna get a new step-dad! Argyle cheered, trying to high five him. "Please for the love of GOD let me officiate this," Murray cackled. OR Joyce and Hopper decide to have a spontaneous wedding at the end of the world and help their kids figure out love and life.
Bananas and Closure by @tired-bisexual-brainrot Hopper runs into Diane while at the store. He invites her over for dinner, and she finds out that he now has a whole family with three kids and a wife.
No Cure for Queer by AlabasterInk (@alabasterswriting) Will Byers had about thirty minutes between realizing that the butterflies in his stomach came from appreciating Mike’s smile a little too much, to walking into his house and hearing Hopper say, “…wrong, Joyce. A guy with another guy. We used to arrest queers, you know…” And it all went downhill from there.
california show your teeth by @fireflywitch Fourteen months after a rash of unexplained disappearances tore an Indiana town apart, a new chief of police and his very normal, nothing-to-see-here family moves to Hawkins from Lenora Hills, California. "I wondered what it would be like if the Byers, El, and Hopper had grown up in Lenora Hills instead of Hawkins and moved to Indiana later on - how things would be different and what things would stay the same and which characters might be better off or worse off…" for Claudia and the Moms <3
You May Be the One Place I'm Sure About by elsie (the_technorats) the one where Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper finally have a moment to themselves. no byler here but you should read it all the same ;)
mom, i'm gay. wait, you are too? by dragons_like_smores @howtobecomeadragon “What if there are no men out there for me, Michael?” Mike, not focused at all on his mom, said absentmindedly, “Then maybe you can just date a woman.” Or: Mike unintentionally starts Karen's lesbian awakening while he simps for his boyfriend, Will, all summer long.
poor old jim's white as a ghost by AttaboyLuther Even when he started on the force back in 1980… Jim Hopper knew there was something special between William Byers and that brat Mike Wheeler. (AKA: Mike and Will fall in love, told through the perspective of one Chief Hopper)
and if you wanna cry or fall apart (i'll be there to hold you) by Strangerangels Mike Wheeler and his relationship with Will Byers, as told by Joyce Byers. Inspired by that scene in S2 where Mike holds Joyce and leads her into the car. Y'know, the one where Bob dies. You just know Mike is going to be the best in-law Joyce will ever have.
The Darkest Eyes by @light-lanterne a semi canon-compliant character study of mike wheeler, his unaddressed trauma and his relationship with will byers, told through the eyes of a very tired jim hopper who can’t help but to become attached to the boy who keeps dating his children.
The Right Thing by Nymphadoragreenleaf The second pregnancy was a mistake. They were basically at breaking point with only Jonathan and Lonnie didn’t want to have to work even more when he had already fulfilled his side of the bargain. He married her and they had a kid. What more did they expect from him (or Lonnie pov)
Benny's also by Nymphadoragreenleaf Officer Powell grimaces “The trespasser… he’s- chief it’s your misses youngest- the one who went missing a few years back.” (or Hopper pov)
some more Hopper: it's me, hi (everybody agrees) by @livsindelusion or 5 Times Mike Gets The Shovel Talk and 1 Time It's Will
and some Joyce! can't hold out forever by scorchstorm five times that others noticed how mike felt + the one time that will did.
Have fun reading :)

im in love with your hawke and the way you stylize her 😭 can i ask abt hasna's (was that her name?) decisions and relationship with the cast, as a friend/lover/rival and big sis :3 da2 is very companion/approval-disapproval heavy game so i got really curious about that. Because learning these makes you learn about the character
(i hope you'd feel safe answering this tho because from what I've seen you don't mind having thoughts straying from fandom's most popular takes, and DA ain't really the best fandom, but we're in veilguard era rn so who cares lol)
Thank you!! Hasna is my little morally dubious almost 7ft tall lesbian blood mage. She has good intentions at her core and is very self-sacrificing but her execution is extremely poor. I'll put it under the read-more because this is just a block of text
I usually don't have the chance to flesh her out a lot because most of my brain rot fixates on Asma but she is very special to me. As for relationships, Hasna is either an opposites attract or is just looking for validation for her beliefs. She has a lot in common with characters like Sebastian and Fenris - I don't know if I ever stated it before but Hasna is a devout Andrastian - and she has very critical views of her fellow mages, who she believes she is above.
Magic cannot be made safe, so it must be controlled, and she represents that control: She doesn't falter; she is a perfectionist, a believer, a patron of the templar order, and Kirkwall's savior. In her own way, her body and mind are her circle.
It's why she is constantly at odds with Anders, who represents everything her personal ideology is against. He is the embodiment of a mage's lack of control and the exact idea that Hasna has spent her life fighting against, which makes it all the more infuriating to her when she sees what he does to the Chantry in the final act of the game. She spent ten years of her life proving to others that Mages can control their magic and fit into society just as she had for some guy from the sewers to ruin it in ten seconds.
I think my favorite aspect about her is that she is a hypocrite and projects a lot of her insecurities on others, especially when it comes to control. She easily resorts to blood magic because she doesn't think she is strong enough - could always be stronger - in battle, but will criticize other mages resorting to it out of fear. Her reasonings are righteous, theirs are weak, etc etc.
I think she has a really interesting relationship with Isabela because while their views on life are completely different, Hasna views Isabela as almost what she wishes she could be. She wishes Isabela's life was her life. Uncaring, free, laidback, just nothing but the ocean ahead of you - Hasna lives almost vicariously through her and experiences Isabela's happiness as if it were her own. Isabela is the only one who knows about her blood magic because she's the only one who wouldn't hold it against her, Merrill would point out her hypocrisy and Varric would view her differently, Isabela just accepts it. Hasna is the one who actually pushes Carver to join the Templar order in the beginning, as she believes it is a way she can still protect and watch over him while being entrenched in Templar politics.
Thats a brief Hasna summary! definitely not the standard Hawke lmaooo I used to care about the Dragon Age fandom takes but I cannot do it anymore bc 1) this fandom is extremely preformative and values pixel wizard discourse over everything 2) it is very boring to have the same perfect angel characters three times in a row I love giving them flaws and making them more like real complex people
Thank you!

Liyue Headcanons pt. 1! (pt. 2 here)
Tumblr media
Xiangling
she/her
16
Transgender Girl, Aroace
Family: Chef Mao (Dad), Xingqiu (FF Brother), Yaoyao (FF Sister)
Best Friends: Yun Jin, Xinyan
I tried to make her a bit chubbier but idk. Editing companion icons are hard, it's easier to just draw her. But I have artblock rn, sooooo
She has autism and ADHD. Her special interest is cooking!
She sees Yaoyao as a little sister. Not only did she teach her how to cook, but she also taught her how to use her polearm.
She makes offerings to the stove god, both at an actual shrine and by just giving Guoba snacks.
She hates wearing makeup, but often helps Xinyan and Yun Jin do theirs before performances.
Xiangling caters Xinyan and Yun Jin's concerts.
She adventures with Xingqiu and Chongyun. She also brings a picnic basket along in case they get hungry.
Tumblr media
Xingqiu
he/they/one
16
Transgender Boy, Gay
Dating Chongyun
Family: Guhua Clan, Xiangling (FF Sister)
Best Friend: Chongyun
I edited him so that he has little hair flippies that resemble horns. He's an evil little goober.
Takes Chongyun on dates to Wuwang Hill.
Secretly slips small bits of chili powder into Chongyun's food to try and help him build his spice tolerance (it never works).
Xiangling was his first friend and they now regard her as more of a sister than a friend.
They play chess with Yanfei every Saturday.
His right hand has prosthetic fingers. He accidentally cut them off while training. He's since learned to write with his left hand.
Tumblr media
Ningguang
she/her
33
Cisgender Woman, Lesbian
Married to Beidou
Family: Kazuha (FF Son)
Best Friend: Yelan
Tumblr media
Baizhu
he/they/xe/al/aloeself
39
Transgender Man, Asexual, Homoromantic
Family: Qiqi (Adopted Daughter), Changsheng
Best Friend: Zhongli
Baizhu has multiple sclerosis. He is completely blind in the right eye and wears a brace on his left hand. They often need a cane to help them stabilize themself.
The medicine that Baizhu takes makes his hands incredibly shaky.
Baizhu sometimes becomes nonverbal and Changsheng will help communicate for xem.
Baizhu braids Qiqi’s hair every morning so she can remember what he looks like.
Baizhu initially took in Qiqi in order to pursue his goals of immortality, but eventually became incredibly attached to her and ended up adopting her. Although Qiqi technically doesn’t need to sleep, he renovated an old guest room in his house to be her bedroom. He took her to the store and let her pick out random things she likes to decorate her room with. She forgets about these things a lot, and gets excited when she sees them (which makes Baizhu super duper happy).
Half of Changsheng’s enclosure is decorated to look like a tiny human bedroom and the other half is a normal snake enclosure. The cage is huge, so it’s more like two different enclosures. Before Baizhu started taking xyr medicine, xe decorated it with tiny furniture xe bought from Changshun.
Baizhu is an amazing chef. Al makes all of aloes meals aloeself, it’s very therapeutic for al. They have a very restricted diet, so it’s not like they can trust other chefs 100%. It’s just the safest way for al to get the best food.
He also prepares meals for Changsheng (and Qiqi, when she feels like eating).
Although Baizhu isn't in a relationship, Gui has a crush on him.
Baizhu occasionally flirts with Zhongli, but never tries to actually ask him out. He knows that he's Rex Lapis, and also knows that he's gonna die young. He doesn't want him to mourn losing a lover.
Tumblr media
Qiqi
she/it
8
Family: Baizhu (Adopted Dad), Changsheng, Herbalist Gui (FF Uncle), Xiao (FF Brother)
Best Friend: Yaoyao
Qiqi often calls Gui "Uncle Gui"
Whenever it sees Zhongli, it asks if he's Baizhu's husband.
She has really bad sensory issues. Because of this, Baizhu keeps things with problematic textures out of the house and the pharmacy.
I don't have many other thoughts about her, I really like her character the way it is.
Tumblr media
Zhongli
he/they/she/one
~41 (Physically), 6000+
Genderfluid, pansexual
Family: Xiao (FF Son), Ganyu (FF Daughter), Hu Tao (FF Daughter), Xinyan (FF Granddaughter)
Best Friends: Venti and Baizhu
Zhongli is the oldest Archon, so he is the most affected by erosion. This has caused Fibromyalgia. He has bouts of amnesia. His body also stiffens up at random. He gets awful headaches when he's reminded of Guizhong. He gets medication from Baizhu, but they don't always work.
They have a pet cat. It's a devon rex named Haoyu. He comforts them when they feel lonely and miss their old friends.
Zhongli has a crush on Baizhu, but doesn't know how to approach it. She's had many mortal lovers, but it always hurts when they go. Because of this, she pushes her feelings away.
Spends a lot of time in shrines, spending most of his mora on offerings to his old friends.
Tumblr media
Xiao
he/him
~23 (Physically), ~2000
Agender, Bisexual
Family: Yakshas (FF Siblings), Zhongli (FF Dad), Ganyu (FF Sister), Hu Tao (FF Sister), Arataki Itto (FF Brother), Wanderer (FF Cousin)
Best Friend: Traveler
Xiao and Itto are pen pals after the chasm incident. Xiao doesn't want to admit it, but Itto reminds him of Bosacius. This makes him think of him as a brother.
Xiao has a soft spot for Qiqi and sees her as a little sister
He has a crush on Venti, but pushes it down. He feels like it makes him weak.
He teaches the kids in Qingce Village how to fight using a polearm. He makes sure to tell them to only use it for self defense. He's surprisingly good with kids.
He talks to the Wanderer (I named him Kunimitsu so that's what I'll be calling him) a lot. He and Kunimitsu bond over having archon parents. They're both very aggressive and train together, which some people misinterpret as them trying to kill each other.
Xiao and Kuni see each other as family. They meet in Lumberpick Village where nobody else is around and just kinda sit there in silence. It's not awkward, despite their...personalities.
Tumblr media
Chongyun
he/they
17
Cisgender Boy, Gay
Dating Xingqiu
Family: Shenhe (Aunt)
Best Friend: Xingqiu
Lost his leg when he was younger. He was learning to use his vision and accidentally froze it solid, giving him frostbite all over his leg. They had to get it amputated at the hip, so his entire left leg is a prosthetic.
Because of this, he trained his body to resist the cold. It also helps with his pure yang energy.
He gets hot very easily. His clothes are extremely light, including his little hoodie. In fact, the hoodie is only there so that he doesn't get snow in his hair. It gets wet when it melts, and he hates wet hair.
In fact, wet hair is a huge sensory issue for him. He also hates things like lotion and having a wet face.
Autistic with a special interest in ghosts and other supernatural phenomena. He often rants about it to Xingqiu, who listens patiently to everything he says with a happy smile.
He seems very awkward around Shenhe, but he's not. They're just both very quiet people and prefer to just hang out in silence. If they do talk, they only say a few words.
Tumblr media
Xinyan
she/her
18
Cisgender Girl, Asexual, Lesbian
Family: Beidou (FF Mom), Kazuha (FF Brother), Yaoyao (FF Sister), Zhongli (FF Grandpa), Childe (FF Brother)
Best Friends: Xiangling, Yun Jin
Xinyan and Childe are penpals. So are Xinyan and Fischl.
Xinyan has severe nerve damage in her hands from pyrotechnics.
She's scared of frogs because, when she was little, she was practicing guitar and a frog jumped out of her case and onto her. She's been freaked out ever since.
Tumblr media
Yaoyao
she/her
10
Family: Xiangling (FF Sister), Xinyan (FF Sister), Beidou (FF Mom)
Best Friend: Qiqi

October Movie Wrap Up
Angel's Crest: 4/10. Sad, boring, not much really happens. Tragic accident sort of thing. It’s not awfully done or anything, just wasn’t anything overly moving or special about it. I’d say it was moderately worth it for the few scenes of Kate Walsh and Elizabeth McGovern as a couple.
Arthur's Whisky: 6/10. It was no cinematic masterpiece, but I give it props for having a bit of uniqueness to it. Plot overall was a five, but there were some scenes that were really sweet and touching towards the end, so that (as well as getting to see Lulu) added another point.
Crazy For Love: 2/10. And one of those points is just for the 30sec—1min scene of Lorraine Bracco in red and black lingerie. I was expecting so much more from this movie, especially with Natasha Lyonne as the lead, but it just fell flat from beginning to end.
Gloria Bell: 3/10. Was there a plot? Kinda. Was it boring af? Definitely. But Julianne Moore shot a guy with a paintball gun and got topless a couple of times, and wore a really pretty dress towards the end, so 3 points for those things, I guess.
Happily Ever After: 7/10. Starts a little slow, but it did have its moments and it kept my interest well enough. Loved both Janet Montgomery and Alex Kingston. Has a plot twist that I didn’t actually see coming. Overall, pretty good, honestly.
Last Night In SoHo: 8/10. Atmospherically beautiful, compelling enough to watch. Predictable at times, but still had some surprises too. I wasn’t bored at any point, so I’ll call that a success.
Mr. Wrong: 1/10. It was just boring, awful and frankly a bit uncomfortable watching Ellen Degeneres with a male “love interest”. For a comedy, it failed to make me laugh even once. Not even Joan Cusack (who had two minutes of screen time) could make this even slightly bearable.
Pretty Persuasion: 1/10. Literally the only reason it got a point is because of Jane Krakowski playing a lesbian for about 5 minutes or less. It was racist, sexist, antisemitic and a little homophobic, all barely disguised under the guise of “dry humor” mostly from the sociopathic main character who is about as interesting as a clump of dirt. Please spare yourself from this movie. I don’t know how it even got made.
Say Your Prayers: 6/10. It had its good parts, and was overall watchable, I even ended up liking a couple of the characters, but it wasn’t great. And the ending will make you mad.
Switching Lanes: 5/10. Solid middle of the road movie, highly predictable twist, though it still doesn’t really make sense, but like I get what they were going for. My only takeaway from this movie was that Marla Maples is GORGEOUS and should be in absolutely everything just so I can look at her more.
The Dresser: 7/10. I didn’t entirely follow the plot, but that was due to my own distraction. It was pretty slow, but it wasn’t bad. I might have enjoyed it a bit more had I been able to pay a bit more attention. Worth it for the performance of Anthony Hopkins, and loved seeing Sarah Lancashire as well, though she didn’t get enough screen time.
Twist: 6/10. Not bad, but aside from the one brief little scene of Lena Headey kissing a younger woman, probably could have skipped it and not missed out on that much. Interesting enough plot wise, but still lacking for a heist film.
If you’d like to be tagged in my monthly movie wrap ups, then please let me know.

hi idk anything about transformers which i think means you should educate me . eye emoji
Tumblr media
GOES NUTS i was abt to finish what i typed n posted but i lost my og draft ACK!! sorry this took a bit to answer i wanted to answer properly EEEE TY FOR ASKING I LOVE THE ROBOTS!!!!
BASICALLYY the transformers r alien robots from the planet cybertron!! they are fighting a civil war and eventually all the fighting wrecks the planet n the battle gets moved 2 earth!! there r two sides, the good guys called the autobots (led by a guy called optimus prime he is popular n beloved in the franchise n fandom) and the evil bad guys r called the Decepticons!! they are led by their evil leader Megatron!! OP and megs are sworn enemies n fight sm, the wars been going on for like over 4 million years (these guys live a LONGGG time) on earth, the autobots r nicer and treat the humans better than the cons anyways (tho no bot/con is rlly pure their like all war criminals LMAOOO) u would not BELIEVEE their mfing drama!! the pettyness of these mech mfs fr
ANYWAYZZ another rlly cool thing abt the series is the many canon queer bots!!! :D their mostly in the idw comics tho, such as the comic series 'more than meets than the eye' and lost light' which features multiple main characters who r gay and have a bunch of mlm relationships, as well as lost light having some t4t lesbians who r prominent EEE it so cool to see!! another example of transgenderformers is in the newest show 'transformers earthspark' which features one of the main characters who is nonbinary!! their sooo cool :]!!
now AHEM some recommendations r below for tf shows that I rlly like (NO PRESSURE TO WATCH/CONSUME ANY OF THESE THO!! i just rlly always like linking tf stuff it makes me happy :3 i wont mind at all if these just sit here foreva i just am like YAYY when i have to find linkies it is very fun!!)
the first tf show I ever watched is Transformers Prime!! I’d def start here bc it’s good for beginners new to the series, has lore, action, rlly good characters r plot!! Very dearly beloved by the fandom :] has three seasons n a movie! links to view it 4 free below:
YouTube Playlist with all eps + Movie
Seasons 2-3 on tubitv.com (Season 1 is on U.S Netflix if you have, idk why season 1 isn’t on tubi 🤔)
(ALSO THE ORIGINAL 80s G1 SHOW IS ON TUBI AS WELL, it is very funny i like it even tho i havent finished all the way EE)
If u want smth short I’d also recommend TRANSFORMERS EARTHSPARK!!! It’s ongoing tho, not fully finished like Prime, n is the newest tf show as of late, but it’s proven to be wonderful so far and I’ve actually gotten people who haven’t seen any tf stuff before to watch it and they’ve been fine and liked it HEHEEH :3 only 18 eps rn, here is my google drive w all the eps so far if u want!
other shows that I have links to watch to r:
Transformers Animated (3 seasons, 2d animated, more stylized, very fun)
Transformers Cyberverse (3 seasons and two 40 minute specials more kiddy and not as serious and a little shallower than the other shows, but I really enjoyed it, it was so so funny and it was my top tf thing for a while before Earthspark stole my heart 😨 cyberverse season 3 has no right to go so hard)
and the idw comics can be read on readcomiconline.li (tho beware of the weird ads n pop ups if u go on here, their rlly AAA so its best viewed w adblock) theres some mlp and transformers crossover comics on there also THEIR SO GOOD AND FUN i dont think u need any prior knowledge to enjoy them tbh their great
ty again for letting me explode abt robots

Okay, I just finished Wednesday and I have a couple of thoughts. Spoiler free (well, there's a minor one on point 4 and 11), but they're gonna be a little whiny because it's my blog after all
1. That was really good. I was so invested in it even though I wasn't sure I wanted to watch it since I'm so fed up with hetero stuff.
2. The boys are so ugly. They're supposed to be heartthrobs? The only thing throbbing is my fucking head.
3. They're SO weird with Wednesday. "I thought you liked me" why? She gives you literally no special treatment. What is wrong with you? A girl talking to you means she's interested?
4. Wednesday is so fucking adorable when she smiles. I know I just said that the guys are annoying, but her kisses with Tyler in episode 7 are so fucking cute. When she tilts her head to kiss him? Adorable. Her smile after her second kiss with him? JESUS, bro. Her facial expression and eyes make me want to hug her
5. I'm so sick of hetero crap lmao. Enid is right fucking there. They're parallels of each other. But noooo, we gotta have hetero shit.
6. I'm a little annoyed they threw in "who's the lucky guy... Or girl?" I don't understand why shows do that? I can't quite articulate my thoughts, but supergirl also did the same thing with that one guy being like "oh my god you're a lesbian" when he got Kara on the roof. Kara wasn't a lesbian. She wasn't even bi. Wednesday isn't a lesbian or bi. WHY do shows throw that shit in? It's so odd, and it feels like they want inclusivity points, but... You don't get to claim inclusivity while not making your story inclusive? It's not inclusive to insinuate Wednesday likes girls just to then have her NOT like girls 😭.
7. Enid is so fucking adorable. I feel like I've met girls like her before. She's (literally) a puppy. I love her. She deserves better than some ridiculous boy.
8. It should've been gay. I'm kinda sad it's not. I really am SO tired of heterosexuality. It's so boring, and it's gross for me to watch girls making out with boys. Especially when the boys aren't even good characters lmao. At least develop them.
9. It's annoying that I know wenclair is likely never going to be canon. However, it wouldn't be NEARLY as annoying if the network and the actors weren't doing that annoying thing where they pretend like it's TOTALLY there even though the writers have literally no intention of ever pursuing it.
10. All in all a great show I recommend despite the annoying straight shit. Ten out of ten. It was an enthralling mystery show tbh. The last 2 episodes held moments where I questioned if Wednesday was the good guy. Like, that's fucking amazing and I was actually filled with dread and felt a little uncomfortable watching because of what Wednesday was doing.
11. Why has no one brought up that Tyler was groomed? Laurel was doing some weird inappropriate shit with him and I was so shocked to see it because I hadn't heard it talked about. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough but Christ. That just makes the show darker.
12. Excited for season 2 if there is one.
13. The whole mommy issues thing was SO good. I loved it. It felt realistic. That being said, I love that Wednesday and Morticia's relationship didn't feel abusive. They just felt like different people.
I'll probably write more on this as this show settles. I finished it only 20 minutes ago so 😭

i just wanted to say how much i fucking love THIO. it's my favorite out of all the fanfics you've written and i really hope you both understand how much it means to me to have that as my go-to comfort fic. i searched so long for such a wonderfully written lesbian focused creepypasta fic for YEARS and it made me so happy to come across THIO. it completely sparked my love for the fandom and characters again. i just wanted to let you know how grateful i am that you kept up with that fic from beginning to end, through all the shitty comments and cringe-os who did nothing but whine for Jack instead of the hot dykes who MADE IT SO GOOD. thank you both so so much, i was completely out of the fandom for years until i read THIO and it sparked my little gay ass heart. representation in good writing means SO MUCH. thank you guys!!
Thank yew (i assume) fellow dyke. This is going to be really long but TLDR thank you for that from the bottom of my dyke heart. Glad yer back in the fandom. Jane and Natalie stans stay winning.
Growing up I remember there being one (1) Jane X (f)reader- it was really special to me. I always liked Clockwork and thought the fandom did her dirty due to misogyny and wierd mfs being like uhm shes shipped with toby so kys??
This fandom, as well as many others, (I am about to say something very lesbian of me), are obsessed with attractive men. People will mention women in passing like oh yeah they're so hot but random man number 42 is so sexy because blahblahblah.
Sometimes I just want something about girls. I don't care about men. I really don't even like writing them that much. I'm afraid of men. Men have hurt me and they've also hurt my work by just being... men. Take Jack for instance, we put him in THIO just to cast a wider net. We knew almost nobody would read the fic if there was no man to fuck. That's just how fandom is. SOCIETY!!!!
And while it's nice to see such enthusiasm and lust for a trans-man, which did make me happy as a gender freak- he's still a man and that's all (a shocking amount) of people seemed to care about.
I really appreciate assurances like this and connections to other people who feel the same things. It makes me hopeful that maybe I have a real shot at writing crazy lesbian horror porn. Giving lesbian art to lesbians is a healing experience to me.

basic relationships chart (or something something...) with a double feature including kitty's children--
so! for the canons--
naki married dating shuu and they are so happily in love it's genuinely sickening; rough dynamic with karren because she doesn't trust his crybaby ass and he picks his nose in front of her to get under her skin. thinks of junichi as a cool older brother
mirumo the proud papa of shuu and adoptive father, of sorts, to karren; single but unsure if ready to mingle. i'm personally open to it but i'm unclear on if it actually suits mirumo's character considering his undying love for his wife. a true wife guy for the ages! he knows of lenn and thinks of him as strange. he distrusts the ikari family
karren is not in love with shuu-- mistook her feelings of adoration and idolization as genuine romantic love. she loves shuu but not in that way because i think it's a little weird considering the circumstances ♡ anyone that is an enemy of master shuu or the tsukiyama family are enemies, no ifs ands or buts
akihiro "dating" donato (no one knows what's going on with these two old men but at least they're having fun? question mark?) and, contrary to popular belief, is alive! why? who knows! i'll think of something. one-eyed ghoulification mayhaps.
renji dating watching over uta, more or less a wandering sort that does odd jobs on the side. he's probably staying with uta somewhere and is constantly having to keep him in check but also joins in on hijinks more than he cares to admit sometimes he's just too darn tired
cool! and now for the original characters--
ren, "head" of the ikari family-- slaughtered his ex-wife, yumiko, in cold blood and fed her remains to his two sons, nori and takeshi. don't worry, he also cleaned his plate. it was satisfactory. currently married (in his heart of hearts, awww omg!) to junichi. his ward loves him because it's borderline a cult. everyone else hates him though because they're sane. it's a whole thing.
yuu "dating" furuta, frenemies (enemies mostly.) with takeshi. they're sorta kinda rivals and all of their fights end in gorefest tie single time. was part of the ccg but leaves after faking his death, primarily because he thinks the ccg are a bunch of pussies and he wants to kill ghouls as he pleases. he also eats ghouls.
yori, professional clown at your service! dating nori and wants to marry him some day. rough relationship with ren because of a violent run-in, ren nearly kills and cannibalizes him. he and renji are kind of friends, mostly because of his ties to the clowns and renji's proximity to uta.
jun, head of the miyamoto family, has been a widow for several years. he and his teenaged daughter, aimi, live alone in their well-kept mansion. his wife, airi, was murdered by ryosuke and her kakuhou made into his very own quinque. he doesn't have a lot of relationships, considering his shut-in status. he's the closest thing to a pacifist ghoul you're gonna get and simply does not fuck around and find out.
katsuro is dating takeshi and has been defected from the ccg for quite some time. he leaves as a rank 1 but, currently, could be considered an associate special class or higher nowadays. he's turned more and more into a ghoul sympathizer as the days go on, mostly because of takeshi. lost his eye in the past due to a run-in with "glasgow", aka ren. also has a prosthetic right leg born from the same incident. slightly terrified of junichi.
chiyo is yumiko's sister and is married to asuka-- they're the rich lesbian aunts everyone wants but only takeshi and nori get. hates ren's guts, tolerates junichi's presence. she's well-known in the human world as a dj, known formally as b@rracuda and frequents the night club scene both as ghoul and "human" as a regular
masao is part of the washuu clan, born into it under the designated title of "seed" but ultimately defects because of it. he's an on and off ally of goat. hates every other washuu and associate, furuta especially. has a bit of a soft spot for rize, sees her somewhat as a sister. otherwise, he's known as a brutal and aggressive ghoul known as "ogre" that is infamous for his mass killings after long lulls of silence
ryosuke is a quinx, unsure of the generation (and i canNOT bother to care right now.) currently, and is a special class investigator. killed jun's wife and claimed "her" as his quinque. he "jokes" about his frame also being her but c'mon. that's too much ghoul. regularly conflicts with jun. jun killed his own husband as revenge, quoted as, "now, be as lonely as i am." and bit off one of his ears too. has a prosthetic ear now as replacement. would kill a child if they were a ghoul, has killed a ghoul child, and will continue to do so. aimi, you're next.
lenn is a clown that works at a ghoul restaurant. he doesn't really come into contact with the rest of the clowns unless necessary due to being a bit of a "homebody" at the restaurant. he's regularly paired up with furuta, however, and they've become besties. he likes playing bait for potential victims, hence his name "catfish", and loves seeing their faces when they see him auctioning them off like cattle to other ghouls. yori thinks he's fascinating, lenn thinks yori is kind of annoying.

Canon Clara Timeline #1: Cabin Funtimes
I’m re-playing the More Updated game with a better idea of Clara’s character in my head, and listing stuff as I go so consider this series a Lore Update I guess???
While looking for mushrooms for her school project, Clara was abducted by Eden. Your first abduction is always your most special <3 As a result of this, Eden took her first kiss, also. Clara basically just sealed her mouth shut all >_< like and Took It. ALSO she was so fucking close to escaping too!!!
I randomly generated most of the genders here too, only adjusting ones I have strong feelings about, so we have F!Eden in this universe! WOO GAY RIGHTS! I GUESS???? I think it would be grimly amusing and also make for some good horrible confusion and shame feelings for Eden to end up being Clara’s gay awakening later on, ngl...
But who will her lesbian as in Not Into Guys At All awakening be? That, we have yet to see.
She was basically completely obedient during the initial kidnapping stage, but never really... Affectionate, until her stress reached overwhelmed, causing her to be desperate enough to seek out comfort and cuddles.  But yeah. With Eden is where she truly learned the fine art of giving people just enough of what they want. An artform that she will go on to THOROUGHLY utilize.
"That mouth of yours has some experience, I bet.” WITH YOU!! IT’S YOU!!!
Honestly pre-Eden, Clara didn’t get many encounters and mostly seemed to get out of them as unscathed as she could so Eden is probably gonna be the first big trauma for her, that isn’t a past thing!! Yippeeeeeee! Not so much in terms of the actual trauma bar, but y’know. In that long term horrors, perpetually overwhelmed on the casual kinda way.
Upon gaining Eden’s trust and having that feeling of relief that she was finally making some progress and something was CHANGING wash over her, Clara immediately proceeded to faint. ^_^
"I couldn't find any injuries. You must have passed out from stress." She helps you to your feet and gives you one last look before walking off.
this line is pretty funny in context rfhufhuegtihrf
First thing Clara did with her... Relative freedom (after promptly fainting in response to the knowledge and putting her clothes on I guess) was to sit outside and watch the rain. :) I might draw that at some point...
After spending the first day of (relative) freedom collecting herself, touching rain, stretching her legs, staring into space and wondering if she’d ever get to see Robin again, Clara would put her mind to seeing how far she could take Eden’s trust in her, without catching any goddamn feelings, herself.
"You're hurt!" you cry, and rush over to examine her wounds. Clara would Never lol
“Ask Eden to read to you” is the perfect strategy for Clara to make Eden like her more without having to touch AND get some reading in!! :D She totally doesn’t value this time or feel endeared to Eden as a result of it. Not at all. She does not like Eden. She does not.
Clara tried her luck having a look around the forest for the rest of the wolf shrooms she needed for that project while Eden was hunting. No luck on that front, but she got back just in time and found some antiques! Second time she tried this at like 4 am, I think she hallucinated Eden hunting her, cus Eden was asleep. ... You good, Clara?
The day after that, Clara got permission to leave for a day at a time! Woo!!! She can see Robin again!! Also I forgot Eden says “Make sure you get your little bottom back here though.” that’s weirdly adorable.

Hori-san to Miyamura-kun/ Horimiya (Anime) Critic, opinion, no spoilers
I loved this one, I’m not gonna lie.
The premise is kinda simple: a popular girl with a emo boy who is not what he seems.
Tumblr media
The Plot? Simple but yet lovely made, is a light fun anime with some subtle touchs of sad but is the kind of shit perfect to binge in a chill day. Is not deep as fuck, don’t expect that.
The design? Interesting as fuck. The drawing per se is a little “soft”. As “soft” I mean that, at difference of the regular anime, the lines are more subtle. Regular anime looks as if they draw it pressing the pen a lot, and this one is more delicated. Also, the movements are BEAUTIFUL. Some of them seems as if they draw over a irl person, since they looks sometimes too natural.
The Characters? AMAZING AS FUCK.
She is (finally) a girl that don’t act as if the world is looking her for drama. She have a personality strong as hell, hobbies, taste, charism. Is a damn person in the full sense of the word, and a good one. Not exempt of mistakes, as everyone of us but fully ready to fix it when she do wrong. I like her and, with my history of hating the 99% of the female protagonists, is a lot to say. Yet, the point she be a little TOXIC sometimes make her lose some points, like damn, yandere in training wtf.
He? HE? He is one of the best male characters I ever saw. He break the stereotype. He is not what he seems, his “public school facade” of “emo otaku nerd creepy nasty emotional incompetent boy” is absolutely wrong (except the otaku part, he like manga) (and is not a spoiler because it happen in the Chapter 1). Yet he is FUCKING COOL, badass, strong, emotionally matured and a sweety, just shy.
His personality is soft (because is shy) but yet strong, he have taste and emotions and a backstory, and yet is not a slow ass, like, dude, in a few chapters he accomplish what in other series can take 20 chapters. I love him, and my thing for shy long hair glasses cool guys is screaming right now.
The secondary characters are all specially well made, they are REALLY there, they put a lot of depth to the serie. The best friend of the guy is the best friend everyone should have, he had all the reasons to become the “main antagonist” and yet, he is still the best loving friend ever omg dude we love you.
Extra good points? Positive masculinity! It show a few times a subtle comparison with toxic masculinity and not only is welcomed, but is made in a way that is not a obvious shit.
Bisexuals everywhere? XD A ton of bi hints and one of the girls is openly lesbian. +5 for lgtb
Bad points? IS ONLY 13 CHAPTERS OMG COME ON
Score: 4.8/5 and 9.5/10 A must to watch. Lovely as fuck.

If you liked Baldur's Gate 3, try these games!
Something Similar (ish): Divinity: Original Sin 2: BG3 would not exist as it is without DOS2. A fun game with a depth of lore and games leading up to it. Harder than bg3, but not so hard that I wasn't able to play it just fine when I was a baby to turn based games. Cool characters with fun flavor. Liked Astarion? Into bad boys? Meet the Red Prince! (This is a joke. Please don't kill me.)
I liked it, but I want to suffer: Baldur's Gate 1 + 2: Don't let anyone tell you they're too old to be fun! I first played these in the past few years, and they absolutely held up. The special editions on steam run perfectly on modern machines. Things I'd recommend: mod in a teleport button! It's easy, and fixes a common complaint of "too slow". They have a wild sense of humor, fun forgotten realms cameos, and a fun combat system that, when you get the hang of, is genuinely fun! a hard learning curve, but easily worth it. BG2 is easily one of my all time favorite games with one of my all time favorite video game romances. Also, Jaheira. If that's your thing. If not, there's an evil lesbian vampire in bg2 you can romance! Hexat, I'm sorry, please call me. Semi-turn based (pause and go)
I liked it, but I want to suffer (and I wish it was more steampunk!): Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura: Made by Troika studios: (The guys who made the first fallout, of VTM: Bloodlines fame), Arcanum is genuinely the most fun you can have in a game from 2001. (*checks other games that came out in 2001* yeah. sure. i'll commit to that.)
Arcanum is an incredible game, with quirky humor, and a female dominatrix that I spent money on every time I went to the city to get her two lines because it let me be gay, okay? Very complicated, the combat can be a lot, but the lore is so fascinating, and you can see that the devs were trying to do something really cool there. Notable for it's time in that your decisions cause a companion to evolve (Virgil <3 I'm so sorry buddy). I cannot stress enough how cool of a game this is. Victorian steampunk setting that tries really hard to make something fun of it.
has. uh. a similar sense of humor at times to vtm:bloodlines. and i'd assume the og fallout but i still haven't made it past the first hour so i can't speak for that.
I liked it, but I don't want to suffer that much (Just a little... or more?): Pathfinder: Kingmaker: Look. This game is so good! Set in the pathfinder setting, all the trappings of a dnd based game. This one is genuinely difficult, but the easiest difficulty is bearable, and there's the incredible toybox mod for help if you need it. Has one of my all time favorite romances in a video game (Tristian <3). Paired with a kingdom building sim that is genuinely a little difficult to get the hang of, but I'd just recommend checking the wiki if you're unsure, and to save often! The only downside is Linzi! But you might like her! I dunno!
Genuinely has some of my favorite characters from a fantasy game in this genre: Owlcat is very good at taking tropes and either working them till they show more than you'd expect, or just playing it straight in a way that really explores the characters well. Also, I just realized I forgot the word Subvert. That's what I was looking for. They like to subvert tropes. Sometimes. Has excellent amoral characters (Jaethal, Regongar, Jubilost.) Has a poly romance where you can romance both or either half of an existing couple and it's all hunky dory.
I like it but I wish it was more fucked up: Tyranny: Look. You gotta trust me on this one. Tyranny isn't for everyone. Made by Obsidian, published in 2016 to... uh, mixed reviews. Tyranny has it's problems (buy it on sale. don't buy the dlc till you've played the main game.) But it was genuinely some of the most fun I've ever had in an rpg in the genre. Everyone's awful! it only took me ~20 hours to play! it's incredibly difficult (if not impossible) to fully complete in one playthrough, but it's short, so it's okay!
Everyone's a villain! Some wild lore. You can either stay a villain, or fix your shit! Or something in the middle! Companions are awful people and i love them (look. you have a companion. who canonically smells like shit. it. it makes sense in game. he's. he's stuck in his armor. it grew to him. the metal like--)
i don't think i'm selling this very well. UH, yeah! You play as the villain! You're the horrible (or neutral) little minion of the established conqueror, and you gotta decide what to do with that when power stumbles upon you! if you like games about horrible people, you might like this one!
the combat was really easy to get a feel for in tyranny, a thing i wouldn't say about a lot of games in this genre, so that's there too!

Hi!! Ok so would love to hear all your thoughts on the live action atla? Have you seen the episodes titles. The thought on the casting and costumes etc. also what do you think about the LA only having 8 episodes? Also I know that the show is not going to be 100 accurate because it’s impossible but there are some things that would absolutely be a no for me if they don’t portray accurately. What are some aspects of the show that you are hoping they get right. ?
Hey bestie, sorry I'm very behind on asks in general and I was living a lesbian dramedy when you sent this in but! I'm delighted and honored to be asked about Avatar. It's my home, even after all these years, you know? So thank you for your patience, I hope you're reading this.
I've seen the ep titles and I do find them a bit strange. I've been thinking about how they're gonna adapt the entirety of book 1 into one Netflix season for so long. My thoughts and feelings on the live-action show fluctuate, after the very very brief preview and pics we got my excitement dipped tbh. The cast still looks really good but I find the way they just 1:1 replicated Aang's tattoo, well, cartoonish, and tbh while it does look better than the movie that's a low, low bar. I don't think this live-action series should even exist and it will have a hard time justifying its existence to me. A lot will ride on the special effects but ESPECIALLY the tone. My god. Tone was one of the movie's greatest offenses. I know people keep hyping this adaptation up but I'm just too jaded for it I'm afraid.
The 8 episode thing doesn't bode well. Look, book 1 of ATLA is by far the Avatar season that's hardest to adapt. Unluckily for Shymalan and this Albert Kim guy, it is the start of the story. It doesn't so much matter that they're an hour long each and I hate when people argue this makes it barely any shorter than book 1 originally was. It's not just about runtime. It's about structure, pacing, the very DNA of the book 1 adventure of the week, travel across the world formula. You can't recreate book 1's adventures faithfully in 8 hour-long episodes so some things will have to go. And to be fair, that's fine. Not just talking about The Great Divide here but in general there are episodes you can technically leave out. Careful what you lose, though, because there isn't a single episode of Avatar that isn't referenced later on in one way or another. It is very much an adventure of the week sort of thing and sure, some episodes have lesser impact than others but they all do add up. And just based on the casting announcements and what little info we do have on the show, a shit ton of the side characters from the season are going to make an appearance. So where does that leave us in terms of what's covered?
The first one is straightforward, as the bookend of the season is obvious. The Last Airbender, obviously the South Pole episodes as well as, most likely The Southern Air Temple episode as well, which would make the title more fitting. Now, do I think it's a good idea to combine these first three episodes? No. Hence my comment about runtime. Just because something fits doesn't mean it should be condensed. And then an entire episode to Warriors i.e. Kyoshi Island, and an entire one to Omashu therefore we're almost halfway through the season but have only covered the first five eps of the animation. I do think they're gonna cover more on Kyoshi Island than ATLA OG did and possible place some other chs also in Omashu, but here we are with just 5 eps left now. Spirited Away has got to be the Winter Solstice, possibly the two-parter but Into the Dark is such a vague fucking title and an outlier that who knows whether the two-parter will be a two-parter here, too. Imo it would be a mistake so I can only think instead that Into the Dark is the Jet episode. Masks is The Blue Spirit, combined with the parallel Aang and Zuko flashbacks as seen in The Storm. The North is The Northern Air Temple leading into the North Pole episodes, and that leaves us with the Siege of the North being Legends, most likely heavy on the Spirit World and the killing of the Moon.
And on first glance, this is a pretty decent structure and what I would expect them to cover. Provided I'm right, and based on the casting announcements I think I am, these are exactly the major beats I would cover. But it still leaves us with important chs like Haru and Bato potentially missing, even though, and I'm not sure about this, but I think they've been cast? I might be wrong about that. They and the episodes they're in are ones I'm more willing to sacrifice but it still makes me wonder what will be combined. That's a big thing with adaptations, combining chs or elements into one tangible block and it's usually where themes get messed up. And Avatar is so well-constructed that I think any meddling in the themes is a bad omen. I also just don't know how they're going to justify Omashu having an entire ep when the South and North Poles basically get one episode each, too. Again, I can only think of them including more in it than was in The King of Omashu originally, and also reshuffling the episode.
In terms of what I hope the most they get right, well. I'm a Katara girlie first and foremost so I do worry that the nuances of her arc as portrayed in book 1 will be lost in such a format and structure. As much as I understand not covering Imprisoned, it's crucial to understanding her character early on. So ideally it'd still be conveyed, somehow. I'm also, ngl, somewhat concerned that Kya has already been cast? Because it makes me think they'll just jump right to flashbacks even though it's super fucking important that that story only gets told at the culmination of Katara's arc in book 3. I'm afraid it will be more tell than show, and the unsaid expectation that we already know these chs and therefore don't need to establish them as well as the OG series did. But they do have to, otherwise it will not be Katara, or Sokka or Aang or Zuko, just some copy. I'm also lowkey most anxiously anticipating the Jet episode (potentially Into the Dark?) because I feel it's one that's easy to get wrong. I have strong opinions on Jet and his story. I can find the links later if you'd like lol, but he's an important foil to three main chs so his introduction here should serve as ch development for Sokka and setup for Katara, as it did in the show.
I'm not entirely against things being changed and even welcome fresh takes on the story but I mean, yeah, I have concerns. I realize this isn't very well structured and more so random thoughts but in general I just think there are a million things that could go wrong and comparatively few that could go right. I'll watch this show of course, if it ever does come out and hopefully I'll be having detailed thoughts written out here. This first look didn't exactly inspire all that much confidence even if, provided they go the way I think they will, they made the best of an 8 ep structure.

okay so i got a little distracted but anyway i'm watching again and i'm 1:13:00 in and this movie is really getting on my nerves tbh. i know you come to this series expecting the ableism but it really is so excessive here and it's so annoying, the lesbian woc veteran spending her last breaths comforting the white man bothers me so fucking much (would've been fun to have her like. idk have some PTSD so she would be the one having to be comforted. or, idk, don't have her make decisions where she ends up dying for the white dude and like ik they soften the blow with them dying together [although even then she gets the arrow first!] bc of her making an empathetic decision but it's still weird and racist and i hate it), the problem with this movie is that it felt like it knew what it was for the first 30 minutes and then they got less self-aware and tried to make an actually good movie but they have a dogshit script (and every decision every character makes is so manufactured and you can tell when the "and now we're going to humanize this character" moments are coming and also none of these characters feel lived in, like they're all exactly who you expect them to be and have absolutely zero surprises for you but are all also deeply underutilized) and it's all executed very boringly and it just becomes forgettable and mundane.
nothing in it is really special, even the kills are meh, you'll only remember them for a minute bc of the gore and then it'll just wash over you and fade away like truly, i wish they kept the reality tv gimmick up longer but also ik this is playing to their audience who came to see some inbred hillbillies carving up some unsuspecting morons and like. i wish it didn't play its hand so soon. i wish it didn't give us so much insight into these people without actually doing anything substantive with it bc like it genuinely hasn't done anything interesting yet after the first 30 minutes, everything in it is deeply predictable and if it has the potential to be interesting it's executed boringly. it's not even directed or shot that badly, the action scenes in here are genuinely more comprehensible than most in like. the mcu or any movie that cuts 500 times a second, like the action here is genuinely well done but it doesn't amount to anything bc they're not doing anything with it that's interesting. it all just feels so mechanical and that sucks because you can tell the people involved were actually trying to make something good. also the acting just keep getting worse with every scene, and i don't get how that's possible, it's like these guys aren't even trying. genuinely this movie really is just boring me at this point so here's to hoping something in these last 20 minutes is at least worth watching.
i said it was like if Halloween: Resurrection was better but. the Halloween: Resurrection comparison is actually not far off and weirdly i had more fun with that than i have with this so far. at least Busta Rhymes did something interesting for it. here, the army dude's shit being shot like a Serious War Movie is very funny but then it hasn't actually done anything worth watching with it yet so who knows how that's gonna resolve. ik he'll probably die for the white girl because this is that kind of movie but it would be nice if the Black dude made it and was our final person lmao. he's the only one i'm rooting for at this point.
anyway, this did have good ideas and clearly good intentions but it's just really not panning out well for it.
finally getting around to watching Wrong Turn 2 since i enjoyed the first Wrong Turn so much (go read all about it here: My ★★★★½ review of Wrong Turn on Letterboxd) and like, if you haven't seen the original, it is legitimately a really good low budget horror movie that, while it uses well-worn tropes and characters and settings, it really does them incredibly effectively like it is really fun and well made. but i am less than 8 minutes into the second movie and this franchise is already crashing and burning, how was every lesson they learned from the first movie so wrong, it's like the entire opposite of the appeal of the original, how is this already so bad, like the direction isn't horrible, it's actually kinda fun, but it's like leaning into the gore unlike the original and the first kill was like needlessly drawn out and for some reason they're doing a fucking Reality TV Survival Show thing to follow for the main cast like it's fucking Halloween: Resurrection and like that comparison i don't think is going to bode well for this movie.
so i'm not hoping that this is going to be any kind of good but let's see if it's the least going to be entertaining bc jesus fucking christ it's already fucking awful absolutely dogshit like comical levels of gore, like a character gets split in half in the first 7 minutes with an ax and this is not horizontal, it's vertical, from skull to pelvis. so yeah, like we are already doing some comical fucking shit so what the fuck is this movie going to be because the first movie was really lean, it was really scary, and it was very effective, and it took itself and it's premise seriously. it felt like a movie someone loved and wanted to make and genuinely cared about. and in the first 8 minutes this movie is comically over the top, not terribly directed, absurdly gory and just fucking schlocky. so if it's going to be schlocky, it better be some really good shlock.

You see, I've been thinking
HOW PHINABELLA COULD'VE BEEN!
We all know how Phineas and Ferb was extended long by its expiration date, but I mean, the expiration date of that summer. We still could've had so much content about the other summers, all through their highschool graduation!
And we all know by now that well, Isabella left the friends group in highschool and inconveniently enough, that's when Phineas develop his crush.
I've always thought that episode was so rushed, their friendship and romantic dynamic had so much to explore that just by 1 episode it couldn't be enough.
You mean to tell me Phineas never reach out in highschool, at least to invite all the scout girls (or ex scout girls, idk how it works lol) to some crazy adventure?
You mean to tell me Isabella never missed Phineas so much that she could settle for a friendship in highschool if it meant to see him?
You REALLY telling me that!?
So, I the crew could've done a better job by dividing their season on multiple summers instead of just one. And make the story have more continuity that way, grow their characters, develop them while they navigate multiple adventures in each summer and while they are going through their teenage years.
COME ON! THAT WOULD'VE BEEN SO COOL!
It could've teached us about growing up and so many lessons that come while your becoming a teenager and young adult (that's right, the last episode of this could-have-been-P&F ends in them going to college >:] )
I think we could've had this phinabella arc, though several episode ofc, in highschool summer season (or seasons?)
> Unfortunately, Isabella left the group in highschool like in the episode. So the summer where that happened we are introduced to this girl in Phineas class, she's a total nerd like him, but really shy. It's stablished she has a crush on someone and Phineas teases her and tries to guess, but never finds out how it is.
This girl is lesbian, but doesn't tell anyone out of fear because, well we all know the world is sadly not normally kind to LGBTQ+ people.
> Isabella finds out through the (ex?) girl scouts that Phineas has this new girl in his backyard helping him and the guys in their adventures.
> At first she tries to play it off, as if she doesn't care what he does anymore because she "is past him".
> Meanwhile, we get to know how they met. Maybe it's something cheesy like Phineas was drawing Isabella and the girl noticed it lol. Or maybe... he was making multiple sketches of what invention he would do to impress Isabella on her birthday as to have an excuse to talk to her, and the girl noticed it and pointed it out. Phineas, flustered, just said it was for an old friend of his and the girl offered to help him if he teaches him all about inventions and how to make them, because she also has something in mind to give to a "special someone".
> Isabella tries to figure out her feelings of jealously and "betrayal", and the scout girls are trying to tell her to just go to his place. She doesn't want to get hurt of he sees them together, or if Phineas didn't even missed her, all the if's keeping her from talking to him.
> Meanwhile, the guys keep on making their respective inventions for their special someone's. Phineas has run out of classmates names to ask her about, and she straight up tells him it's not someone from school, rather someone who lives in the same apartment complex she does. Phineas resorts to just ask her how they look, "Do they have brown hair? Do they have blond hair? Are they tall? Short? What do they like?" Meanwhile he also teases him "Are they from school? From this neighborhood? Are they blonde?..." The list goes on. They enjoy helping each other and talking about this mysterious persons they like, and which they don't disclose the name- but how they look, act, and what they like about them. They also are total nerds so expect multiple geek and science talk- Phineas and Ferb practically adopted her as their little sister now lol.
> Going back to Isabella, we also get to see why she has been pretty busy too. Perhaps she's making some charity work, helping her mother around, things like that. She keeps telling herself she can't go and see Phineas cause she has "XYZ thing to do", and she's running out of excuses, while her longing just grows and grows.
The one of the girl scouts (her bff I can't remember sorry) tells her that at least she should go and talk to him as a friend, that if she lets time pass and doesn't talk to him, they'll grow apart till she can't recognize him, as friend or lover. "Are you willing to lose your friendship with Phineas?".
The girl scout even asks her if she knows what invention he's up to lately, and Isabella is like "Of course! He's up to... Uh..." Isabella can't even remember the last invention he showed her.
This realization- that even she is forgetting things, shocks her and saddens her. "I don't want to lose him. I want him in my life, any way he wants...". She runs to his house to talk to him after so many months and half summer.
> Phineas has to leave for some reason (props the place where he wants to give Isabella her happy birthday invention) and the girl and Ferb are left in charge with the 2 inventions (Phineas' and the girl's). Ferb goes to the house to get them something to drink, and the girl keeps working.
> "HEY PHINEAS WHATCHA- doing...? Hi I'm Isabella, you must be _____" (yeah haven't thought of her name). The girl greets her and identifies her.
"Oh, you are Isabella, Phineas neighbor, the super cool pretty and intelligent girl scout, right?" Isabella is obviously flustered at this description. "Oh, you know me? How so?" The girl, not wanting to blow the Phineas cover, makes some dumb excuse and says that Ferb described her like that. Just as he comes with the lemonade- and awkward funny moment ensues lol. Ferb just downright leaves the backyard back for some "cookies".
> The girl talks to Isabella, and they soon start bonding over Phineas adventures and crazy inventions. She tells her Phineas is a super helpful guide, and has been helping her with this gift she wants to give to someone special, but the girl seems hesitant "It's not even that cool of a gift, really, I'm not good at this. I just hope it doesn't break in h... their hands right as give it, even if I do give it to them..." Isabella sees the cute invention, it's a sort of small robot that seems to analyze the soil, help planting seeds, keeping up with plants needs. Surely, someone that loves gardening would love a gift like that.
"I bet that she'll love it." Says Isabella. The girl is flustered, but happy, and gains some confidence now that she sees how she has such a lovely friend group. "Yeah. Maybe she will. She lives in an apartment, so she doesn't have a gardening space of her own. but since she volunteers on community services aimed to gardening, I thought this could help her. She is a bit forgetful, so this could help her keep track of every garden she takes care of."
> Isabella is really impressed by the girls skills and courage- she feels she has little courage, ignoring and evading Phineas this whole summer, breaking their friendship bit by bit. A sad look shows in her face. "You are really brave, I don't even have the guts to see the person I like in the eyes lately". The girl questions, and Isabella admits "He's really inteligent, and kind, and helpful, a total cute nerd that has the biggest heart ever. I miss him". The girl smiles as she starts guessing- but as clueless as her mentor, she doesn't get who she could be referencing (she would bet it's between Phineas and Ferb lol).
> "I'm sure he misses you too, is it...? Oh hi Phineas!" Phineas arrived "Hi ____, so look I checked with the mayor, he says he can get us both the park free for... Isabella? Long time no see! Hi!!" Clearly shocked and happy, he hurries to their side.
> "Yeah, long time no see. Watcha doing Phineas? Something in the park? What about?" Phineas, a but flustered tries to change the topic "oh is nothing, it's uh- a thing _____ wanted me to go check for her... I mean sure is for us both- I mean, I'm going to use it too, but uh... it's a surprise... How have you been?" The girl chuckles, now fully aware who Phineas has a crush on, and Isabella talks about all her adventures in her part of summer. Ferb comes with the cookies, and they all sit and enjoy the sunset while talking and getting to know what the other has been up to.
...
SO THAT COULD BE SOMETHING! Aw man, it would've been so cool if P&F was like that. Imagine growing with them, seeing how they mature and they finally getting together.
Maaaaaan it could've been so cool hadn't they beat to death the only summer we watched.
Anyways, yeah, that's my small idea. Anyone, feel free to write it better than I did and maybe even making a series of what P&F could've been like if the showed had some sense of continuity and growth.
Thanks for reading! Sorry for the typos, English is not my native language.
