I've definitely said this in an earlier post but I want to repeat it: The mental image extraction machine in Milgram is quite literally intrusive thoughts horror, imagine basically being told "yeah we're going to use this machine that displays your deepest thoughts to decide whether or not you're a Good Person™ or a Bad Person™" I would die on the spot

The moment his footsteps echoed down the hallway, from that weight and rhythmic pace, the duke knew it was Valentin's. No matter how engrossed Heinrich may be in his work, that man's allure will never fail to rip him from such tasks...

"Hmm?" He hummed curiously, a smile already forming on his face...until he looked up at Valentin and took in his demeanour.

Heinrich swiftly placed his quill back into the inkwell while his smile faltered slightly— his expression twisting into that of a small frown as his dark eyes studied the Russian's demeanour...as much as a man with this damning eye condition could from such a distance, that is.

The duke sat up straight. "...You're upset, Valentin." He asserted with a gentle voice— a rare feat— and clasped his hands together, putting them under his chin and leaning forward slightly. The silence lingered in the air for a moment: "We shall go, yes, but can you...come here first, please?"

His eyes flickered between the man's cool ones and the papers in his hand as he awaited a response...

Though unlikely to be noticed from under his facial hair, Heinrich's frown deepened; he knew what Valentin wanted to do...

Apologies for keeping you all waiting for so long! Things have been hectic with our personal lives that I haven’t gotten around to working on this series or posting at all! (I’m the one who has to keep everything in tip top shape for us and to keep everything perfect, after all…) As my way of apologizing to you all, here’s the long awaited second part! I have a third one planned and nearly ready to be posted soon! I still need some time to work on it knowing that I still only have two pieces of the third part of the series done. a little sunflawyer lore drop because its been too long since i did one!!

just as a way for me to show abby's personality better ☀️ it's about Abby and her patients.

its quite long though !!! (⁠⊙⁠_⁠◎⁠) but its sweet :3

abby is a psychologist who works at a clinic !!! her patients range from kids to adults :D so far the one that i would love to mention is Clara, a 9 year old girl who suffers from abvuse trauma. for clara's case, abby helps her to heal while jimmy helps bring justice for her by capturing the perpetrator.

recently i thought of a new patient!! this one is an elderly man named Sam who recently lost his wife. he goes to abby to help him cope with his grief. he tells abby everything about his marriage — the memories, the dreams, the moments... and sam's stories make abby think of jimmy. the same romance that sparkles between the two of them...

now, sam's wife's passing got her thinking about herself too. abby has a low blood pressure, which causes her to pass out quite often, and it always worries jimmy. she's afraid if something happens to her one day, jimmy will struggle to cope with it. and it terrifies her and haunts her mind for days until one day she can't take it anymore.

so one day, after she comes home from another session with sam, abby sits beside jimmy and asks him to make her cry. jimmy was taken aback of course — he never wanted to see abby cry, let alone being the one who caused it. but abby trusts him and says crying is a good way to cope with sadness to relief all of your bottled-up emotions. at work, she has to be tough for her patients, but today, she needs to ve vulnerable.

so, jimmy did. — he tells her about the day they met, about how he was instantly captivated by her the moment his eyes met hers. he tells her about their wedding day, how he was so nervous that he was the loudest to cry during their vows. he tells her the day tommy was born, the day tommy said 'mama', and the day when he first entered daycare. he tells her their memories together.

and she cried. of course not from sadness, but from happiness. they've been through a lot together. there were times when she doubted herself, and there were times when she was the happiest woman in the world. and she went through them with jimmy by her side.

he then pulls her into his arms and whispers, "its okay to cry, abby. i know you want to be tough for others, but with me, youre not just Dr. Abigail McGill, you're Abby. You're my wife, my best friend, the reason why I wake up with a smile everyday."

and he kisses her forehead, lingering there.

"you're a human, abby. a human with feelings. I'm here for you, to share your burdens with. i love you, no matter how you are feeling today, tomorrow, and the next day.

you're my heart."

Actually, I'm curious Do you guys have any criticisms when it comes to Milgram? Specifically from a writing/storytelling/character perspective, but it can also be about anything.

just a few bat/chuuoku parallels:

hitoya and otome are players of the law. tho they’ve both twisted the law for their own reasons, at the root they both seek justice against violences that have personally affected them in some way

jyushi found identity in his music much of the same way ichijiku found her identity in chuuoku. music was one of the things that saved jyushi and he changed his looks, adopted a different voice and personality in the name of that music. similarly, otome’s vision was one of the things that kept ichijiku afloat and so she changed her looks and adopted a different voice and personality for it

lately kuukou’s story is explicitly being told it’s one marred with violence, just as nemu’s life was. both of them have had to prove to their caretakers that their chosen paths are the correct paths for them, even tho those paths are almost complete opposites from theirs. both have similarly come to face with the difficulties walking your own path

Thinking about how much more satisfying and believable Micro’s character would be if they had let him aggressively hate the government. Like why wouldn’t he despise the people that killed him, tried to destroy his life’s work, reputation, and tore his family apart in one fell swoop?

I feel like despite working for the NSA, David would still have been ingrained with an innate distrust of institutions, it’s the tragedy of imagining him starting out with hope, thinking maybe he could make a change. A little bit of his hubris, he probably thought he could outsmart them, but he quickly realized that you can’t outsmart a hydrogen bomb.

He tries anyway, to fix what’s unjust from the inside and he fails.

He is David, facing a Goliath.

He deserved more than homeland security hush money, he deserved blood, a head on a pike.
