“Mother, I crave violence,” a small child interrupts the video call, practically clambering up into Nightingale’s chair. They look around five or so, with white hair and red eyes. Albino perhaps? 

“Ah, apologies, let me take care of this real quick,” Nightingale turns the microphone off when he gets a few acknowledging noises, picking the small child up and moving them from the room. 

“Cute kid,” Barry acknowledged from behind his coworker’s head, having been helping move things. Actually, the kid looked kind of familiar, though from where, who knew. Hard to remember everything with how fast his thoughts usually went. “I didn’t know Nightingale was a father…” 

Then again the specialist was notoriously private, and set most meetings online thanks to some sort of medical conditions. So he supposed it would make it easier to be a stay at home dad if he was there already…

sua's such an under analyzed character but her mentality and presentation is really interesting!! to others (besides mizi), she appears reserved (very demure. very mindful) / cold but she's genuinely going through constant inner turmoil.

growing up, she was literally used as a commodity by her guardian. she's bullied by her sisters for being the guardian nigeh's favorite, but it's really only because she makes the most money. even after death, her guardian doesn't care that sua's gone, they're more concerned with the popularity and revenue that her fandom brings.

to the segyein, sua's essentially a doll and an ideal pet human. she's a top student at anakt, aka she sticks to a routine and acts easily brainwashed. when asked about her study habits, she just says "it's not really that hard... you just have to memorize what they teach you."

her objectification by others strips her of her identity and livelihood. it definitely plagues her perception of self worth/value, and manifests in her behavior (being quiet/not taking up much space, jealousy, apologizing often, being defensive - more on that later)

^ i think this whisper sums up her situation pretty well. her circumstances and the way she presents herself affects her relationships in anakt a ton if that makes sense ?

when sua meets mizi, such a vibrant, lively, and loving person, her focus and dare i say will to live completely shifts to mizi. in mizi's eyes, sua is seen as mizi's soulmate, someone she'll be with forever. someone who's always there for her. synergyyyy

although sua's feelings are mutual, she carries a level of self doubt and anxiety with her. sua believed her love for mizi would harm her in the end. she's stated before (EXPLICITLY) that she would die for mizi, and she does end up doing this in the form of sacrifice in round 1.

it's almost as if sua feels guilty for loving mizi. she knows they're doomed, and with their limited time, why should she be focused on? is it selfish of her to not tell mizi of their inevitable fate to live in their dream a little longer?

^ the lyrics of sweet dream can also serve as her mentality and point of view leading up to alien stage. she knows the idyllic world she's in is temporary, knowing her end is imminent yet praying to be saved.

although mizi views sua in a tinted lens, the other characters do not. at least, not in the affectionate sense. to till, sua's demeanor is offputting and uncomfortable

to ivan, he sees straight through to suas actions and (maybe unintentionally but i doubt it) exacerbates her doubts. he has his own events going on and genuinely does seem to want to be close to sua (graduation message + human relationship rating) but interacts in a way that makes her feel threatened. (in addition "he keeps crossing the line" in the relationship chart)

to the outside viewer its interesting to note sua often pulls mizi away from people. she pulls mizi away from ivan, and pulls mizi's attention from till to her in a short act of jealousy.

Whenever Till sings about mizi and or needing her I notice that he always imagines her child self..

I think it's honestly because he's scared of actually seeing Mizi and how she ended up after all these years, because she isnt that child anymore.

he idealizes the child who saved him from his darkness when he was younger and gave him a reason to keep going through the pain of being in Alien stage. He idealized what Mizi used to represent, a sweetness and flowery purity that is rare in the world he lives in. She was untouched by the horrors of their reality in the way he could lose himself in. So he clung to her like a lifeline because she WAS his lifeline, but he has yet to recognize the Mizi who has changed so much from when she was a child, he hadn't met her yet. I hope Till has an open-eyed moment if and when he sees Mizi again not as the child she once was but as the woman she is now. I feel like that'll have a much-needed impact on his character development.

haven't posted that much worm art recently- been in a bit of a slump- so here! Lung vs one of Rachels dogs, nebulously taking place when Taylor first meets the undersiders.

not my most polished peice but I was more focused on having fun with the shading, drawing cool monsters, and hurting my hands (as always)

Think I've said this before but in my ideal visualization all the protagonists in Wolf 359 look like shit. They haven't had real soap in years. They're getting gray streaks. After the mutiny Eiffel and Minkowski are getting run ragged and despite being stuck in solitary Hilbert is still somehow perfectly in control of his outfit and situation until Lovelace arrives. SI5 show up sleek as their spaceship but s4 Jacobi gets increasingly disheveled. It's clear when Kepler finally decides to betray Cutter because his uniform is just slightly awry. Hera could make her humansona look like anything but it's messy and lived-in. Meanwhile Cutter and Pryce and Rachel are perfectly put together. They've never heard of gray hairs. Do you understand my vision.

It seems like Unsha is.... fairly tame? At least compared the horrendous feats of Urak and Heperu. He almost seems more grounded compared to them? Unlike Urak and Heperu, who are obssessed with winning to the point of trying over and over again, Unsha accepts his loss gracefully and moves forward with other things.

Ivan was a gift to Unsha's wife for her birthday. He chose children based off of their potential, and when Ivan showed the most promise he gave him full investment. Instead of forcing out Ivan's talent through more heavily abusive means (nurturing, it seems to be called), he brings Ivan to success through sponsorships, methodical marketing and exposure. Unsha considers the things he learned from being with Ivan and takes interest in what Ivan's thoughts might have been before death. He says that despite everything, Ivan was worth the investment and worth the loss.

I'm not trying to say that Unsha was a "good parent", he was neglectful to Ivan's personal needs and worked him relentlessly among other things. There definitely could have been more diabolical actions that haven't been revealed yet. He undoubtedly viewed Ivan as a product that he needed to sell (a businessman in all areas), but it's just interesting to note his differences and train of thought. Much to think about.

Bruce wakes up to a toddler crawling into his bed.

He panics for a second before he calms down thinking one of his kids must have had a nightmare and layed back down before sitting back up, panicked once again because he doesn't have a toddler.

Danny thought this was a hilarious prank to play on the billionaire who collects black haired blue eyed children like stamps. Except the device he stole from his parents had disappeared from where he hid it, a little green sticky note in its place reading, "Stay with the Waynes."

Oh, did he mention he was losing control of his powers? Cause thats definitely a thing thats happening to him now.

His Halloween trick has backfired and now he has a panicked family and a calm butler pulling out boxes of baby clothes from the attic
