Honestly I have no hope. I'm thinking its gonna bomb like the Ruin DLC did, lore wise. Calling it now there's gonna be a character named VANESSA and her nickname is VANNY even though this movie is about the first game and has NOTHING TO DO WITH VANESSA. There's gonna be a kid named Cassidy, another kid named Gregory, circus baby is gonna come out of nowhere, there's gonna be a nightmare animatronic reference, one kid is gonna look like the crying child for no reason, Springtrap is gonna talk a lot and take away the horror- its gonna be a mess. The lore will be a terrible. mess.

Horror wise it might be awesome but I am NOT looking forward to all the crap they're gonna mix in with the lore. Its soooo simple, just make a spooky movie that captures the terror that the first game created. Recreate the mystery and horror. Bonnie disappearing, Foxy running down the hall. Freddy's music. Maybe Golden Freddy?? Hints of a darker past with dead kids. It would be awesome. They don't gotta complicate the lore by adding all the other games into it but I know they will-

The reason why I haven't drawn any classic mermaids like that is because it felt kind'a weird to add a half human creature into the Octonauts universe. Considering humans don't exist in it.. Now that post with the mermaid thing actually has the creature looking humanoid for sure. Because it would look more alien if it was human. But I kept the scales because a straight up half human mermaid would just feel out of place-

Monty is much more mellow and kind in the Partial swap. Although he still can be a bit of a grump sometimes. The way Bonnie is treating everyone (mostly Foxy) really angers/upsets him.

Roxy hasn't changed a whole lot tbh. Full of grief and self loathing. Except I don't think she'd have this "I'm better than you" attitude. Her thinking that Freddy's death was her fault would crush her. Just like Monty was crushed in the OG au.

I was thinking he would do 1 of 2 things.

Either this bombshell that his late friends of 10 years are alive, would be so emotionally overwhelming that he would completely shut down. Literally. They would break into his room and Bonnie is collapsed on the floor. And cannot be reactivated. And when he does eventually reactivate, he absolutely refuses to acknowledge or speak to anyone in anyway..

OR, hearing that Chica and Freddy are alive, would completely drown out any other feeling. They're alive, he would rush out of his room to go see them. All of his stress, all of his anger would be swept away in favor of his anxiousness to see his friends again. And finally, he would talk to people again somewhat. Every day would get easier knowing that once its over he can go see Freddy and Chica again.

he says he thinks it's quite funny and he likes the plot, but the screen kept buffering so we might need to figure out another way of doing this. next episode possible tomorrow or the day after we're not too sure how our schedules will line up but i'm quite excited

POST YOUR SONA

OH yeah I can do that! I'll even get needlessly detailed about their history too.

My sona's lore is that they're supposed to be a drawing brought to life, jumping from story to story and inserting themself into different worlds. It's supposed to reflect my habit of. uh. making a lot of self-inserts in my free time. But they're always overthinking plotlines and making sure their presence makes sense. That's why most of my self-insert drafts have pages upon pages of writing and lore.

Their base form is Yogurt (on the left). The yo-yo is a staple they've had since I was uhhhhh 15 (which was when I drew the one on the right).

ANYWAY Yogurt has a lot of different forms and names they take when jumping into different worlds so that their presence doesn't seem out of place.

There's H00P-5, who fits into dystopian or more scientific stories. They're my Minecraft skin, and their typical story is that they're an alien sent from a space hivemind to study worlds for expansion (left and middle). Sometimes they're just a weird radiated being with no alien background (right).

There's Mage (or Ethan), my homestuck kid. They're a Mage of Hope from a glitched session where the White Queen ended up being the antagonist. In my head the world of BNHA is Mage's original Earth and the reckoning never happened, with Nezu as the first guardian. I put way too much thought into it. They're also the only one that has a D&D counterpart (right).

The rest are story specific. There's obviously Staff, fnaf:sb self insert that I ship with Vanny. There's a Danganronpa lucky student I don't really use (I think her name was Shizuka Hanikamiya? I'm a little embarrassed about my naming attempts). There's Parafait, my splatsona. And my fursonas Toffee Bat and Rudy Hare.

But yeah! That's my sona and my history of self-inserts. If you ask about any of their specific stories I will send Walls Of Text in response so let that be a warning to you.

i haven't been drawing caden in Years because alien toxic yuri has infected my body and its terminal. lmfao

basic new lore is that zephyr, xiak, via and vanni aren't like a "evil fighting" group (to avoid any comparisons to cops. lol) but they (as in all my characters) live on a post climate change earth that's now a buncha islands rather than continents. they live on one of the most densely populated islands, and due to the state of the world, energy and resources are scarce, and the government of that island developed some weird tech that lets you harvest emotional energy and physical pain and convert that into electricity. so the zsquad literally go into like cryo-dream-VR and play a fps death game where they feel Real Pain(wow!) and then wake up and that power generated from their dream-injuries and shit powers where they live.

vanni has beef with zephyr still, causes a huge blow up (literally) during a match and quits the team and through a series of events rali volunteers to help out because caden+ the whole reyes family helped develop the technology (and dont really consent to it being used this way but that's another can of worms.) and since rali is caden's adoptive sib and their family is working with zephyrs rali was like :3 ok ill do it (HAS NO IDEA)

rali also has really big parasocial/fangirl issues with zephyr/the zsquad but gets over it.

ALSO THERE'S MORE NEW CHARACTERS i need to draw them more. there's mroe alien girls now. they're like the anti-zsquad. the A Squad if you will. (get it eh eh)

RUIN Thoughts!

I have seen pretty much everything that is out/widely known about as of day one so I'm just gonna ramble about everything. Starting with positives and then getting into the things I didn't like towards the end. Cause hoo boy are my feeling very mixed about this whole thing let me tell you.

I like Cassie! We have proper context and motivation for her right off the bat. Immediate story improvements there!

The gameplay of the whole DLC looks way better. Personally I've never liked games that box you in to one path too much in a way it's too obvious, but the DLC makes it realistic and gives paths that loop back around to places you've been. The map still doesn't make sense but that's just the SB experience at this point I guess.

Eclipse. ECLIPSE. ECLIPSE CANON OH MY GOD. He's sweet and gentle and acts just like how a caretaker should! Sun pleading for help and Moon expressing their pain being forced to work as entirely separate programs, both of them fighting each other's triggers.... Aauughhhh I love them. The fact that all they needed for so long was a simple reboot and there were just no human workers around to do it.... 😭

AND ROXANNE. Seeing the side of the characters actually being child entertainers is so nice! Even if it was done just to make the moment bittersweet. "Do you still like carrot cake? I like carrot cake." They're all supposed to be kind. They're supposed to be good and wholesome and they've all been twisted into monsters that aren't their true selves.

Bonnie design reveal!!!! Further implications that Monty murdered him!!! I...! I'm not sure I like it. It's difficult because he has no consistency in his appearance. The Bonnie Bowl mascot is purple like OG Bon but the design we see in the gator ride telling Monty's backstory is blue. What are those shoulder pads and how would that work on an animatronic, like at all?? He has no room to move his head! Don't get me started on the inconsistent coloring between his gloves and his outfit. Idc if I sound pretentious for this, the clothing choices hurt me as an artist tbh. If you're gonna make him blue let him wear hot pink or or even yellow. Idk idk it just didn't mesh to me. Oh and his neon sign had the star glasses but his cut outs didn't. Inconsistency is Steel Wool's middle name.

What is with the glitchy shadow rabbit? Why is it shaped like a map marker? Is that supposed to be Glitchtrap? A security system...? I don't understand the point of this storywise at all but sure gameplay go brrr I guess

What the fuck is the Mimic. No seriously. I don't know what it is. Why is it here. What is happening. I am well versed in the canon of these games what is- .......... So it's another Book Thing. Haha. No. Bad. Stop that. Whoever signed off on the "let's add book lore to the games with no explanation or fathomable reason" decision, I am spraying you with a water bottle. Stop alienating those of us who don't have the time/money/desire to buy and read the books. I hate the books personally and have been actively ignoring them since the Plushtrap Chaser one. They are meant to be fun side stories for people who want that, not main game canon!!! Stop it!! I am actually begging you!!

TL;DR I like the characterization given to everyone this time around, it felt right for them. Bonnie's design is inconsistent and kinda mid. And trying to force in booklore most people won't know about is just stupid and I'm mad about it. That's about it.

I definitely wanna draw Cassie with Roxy post game- because I do believe she survived that elevator crash- and maybe make a Bonnie design I'll like better. And I definitely wanna see other people's art. That'll be the best part of all of this.

Interlude GGY: My Secrets Laid Bare

              I expected to never wake again, content to vanish into thin air. Many say that your afterlife depends on how you lived your life. An expanse of white and blue beyond my room the only splash of color in this Purgatory of mine. As expected prior to my little Kill Switch, I ended up in the most befitting of Afterlife for a being like me; too machine-like to be mistaken for a human, human-like enough to be judged after death.

              It’s peaceful here, my punishment was the very thing I desired, silence and books everlasting. With nothing but time and books to read, I ruminated on my past and what I left behind. I lived in paranoia and puppet strings, no light or miracle was in sight, a human puppet, in every sense of the word. I was taught not to feel, to imitate the living, to better hunt the boss’s preferred prey.

              However, the weasel never put stock in what would happen if I disagreed with his pet and him. Many of my thoughts are as mechanical as the chip I was made from, hence why my loyalty was as fake as the Plex’s pizza. Without true loyalty, my words were little more than lip service and false platitudes, that was enough to keep them away.

              Can’t deny I wasn’t the most innocent creature to ever live. I committed many crimes on people for my selfish desires, performed many wretched mind games from Saw movies to obtain whatever I wanted from criminals that fell under my gaze. However, I refused to kill children, such actions were pointless, combined with the public’s suspicions towards the Plex in general would've led to police busting down the doors en mass. That included the weasel’s failed plan at possessing a flesh and blood body, an intriguing ritual that required pure parental love to work.

              Under the eyes of the law, I would be declared unstable and lacking humanity, they wouldn’t be wrong but to myself, the only crimes I committed were upon the vile and inhumane. I saw nothing wrong with committing my version of karma on them, my prey wouldn’t be missed, and making them disappear like they didn’t ever exist. The reality was no One would ever miss what was universally hated by society and the world.

              His last name brought up one of two projects I kept “shelved” when the “Wizard” inquired. Luis Cabrera was as sharp as a Cyber Security employee, yet blind when it came to Vanny and Vanessa. It shouldn’t have been possible, but it was so obvious I splashed cold water in my face to ensure I hadn’t been dazed or dreaming the conclusion.

“Vanny loved another, it’s almost impossible to acknowledge.” I feel something alien in me, was this humor?

“For all his bragging, the “Wizard” was a jealous bot it seems.” I seem to be contemplating this more with every passing day.

“Truly Vanny, you discarded something worthwhile for a petulant machine.” My mocking brings up a forgotten memory.

“Seems you truly couldn’t throw him away, could you?” Vanny’s manic handwriting was easy to decipher.

              I find myself fascinated by Vanny’s actions, what drove her to lie and disobey our “Master.” Very few things could be said about her, the biggest being she’s a pleaser. She couldn’t go a day without trying to please our boss or try to impress the FazEnt vultures. Luis, she had a special little room dedicated to the time she’d been at their home. Seems like he had a profound impact on her.

“She must’ve been squirrelling away Remnant to bring him back. Shame that Amalgatronic tried to use his corpse.” Twirling a trophy of mine brought back that particular day.

              That horrific day marked Vanny’s turn, from loyal puppet to empty follower. Seems the “Wizard” had ordered Vanny’s Prototype Units to patrol his lair. Blind luck is what I called that incident, apparently the Prototypes programming was crafted using Ennard’s as a base. Afton truly was a monster, Ennard was described as a body snatcher in the blueprint, reports were logged of the old wire mass trying to shove itself down a technician’s throat before he was deactivated. No surprise Luis’s corpse ended up that way.

“The surprise came from Vanny, that was the first time I’d seen her use a sledgehammer though.” The trophy was a smashed core, unique in its appearance.

“She still has the gift he made for her; how ironic such a gift had been his end.” My scribbling has grown from one set of pages to two.

“Such irony hadn’t been lost on her though as the scars are telling, especially around the wrists.” It’s rare for me to feel such melancholy, especially for Vanny.

“She made her choice and chose wrong, on top of refusing to learn what the truth is.” I wonder if there’s an answer for this.

“In a different universe, would our two places be switched, or would it be a worse end?” A question with no answer, such curiosity would break a lesser AI.

              It’s confusing to me because I hold a great amount of anger and pain towards what is essentially my parent unit, but HATE isn't there. Vanny poured zero effort in concealing that particular info dump, no secrets was her directive so why lying to what essentially would be her child. Looking back, the majority of my code was from the chip that Vanny dwelled within, so there was a great deal of truth in that explanation of hers. I close the book without a second look, my ramblings marking this discovery will need to be burned, can’t have anyone learning of this particular bit on Vanny, or my origins.
