Always Pt.2

AN: umm... Happy Reading!

PART 2

After you let Natasha go and left the Avenger’s compound you asked Fury for some time off wanting to take your head off of the problem you were facing, a life without Natasha…

You are currently in Budapest right now, a place full of good and bad memories but with all of that this is the only place that gives you peace, where you felt where you belong.

Bumping with some blonde girl who was running fast in the streets of Budapest as you both fall down from the impact which you help her up

“I’m so sorry…?” the blond woman eyes widen as she saw you and you with a bone crushing hug which made you confuse but for some reason you felt you knew her.

“Y/N!”

“Um.. miss who exactly are you?” you asked her as she made herself comfortable in your arms melting on your embrace as she cried silently in your chest as you tried to comforted her.

“It’s me Yelena-“ a sound of shattered glass and footsteps  around you as you both bolted into action seeing women surrounding the alley, you gave a ‘what the hell is this’ look at Yelena as she rolled her eyes understanding the look you throw to her.

“I’ll explain later” she mumbles with a groan,

Yelena tighten the bag around her taking out a knife as the women started to attack you.

You quickly dodged some punches, kicks and bullets, they’re well trained and had no hesitation but you’re better and had a lot of experience

You easily took down two of them as Yelena fought the other two, you were about to snap the neck of the last one but Yelena quickly shouted at you while she’s fighting

“Don’t kill them! Just knock them out!”

“are you kidding me?!” you replied hitting the woman by the neck knocking her out as Yelena finished fighting the last one and is out of breath.

You can hear cars and motorbikes coming to your direction so you pulled Yelena by the wrist dragging her.

“let’s go more of them are coming”

She gave you a nod as you both disappeared in the alley.

“Are you telling me that Red Room still operating?” your face was full of confusion to what Yelena has been telling you as she drank from her beer

“Yup”

“I thought Natasha, Clint and I already destroyed it years ago… what a mess” you sighted remembering the danger you both faced here trying to bring it down

“wait you’re with my sister?” you chugged the beer down to your throat as you nodded

“was… we graduated together but she was recruited by the SHIELD and asked me to join and all” she nodded in understanding it

“then why are you here?” you stiffen with what she said to you… you simply forgot to what your purpose of being here when you saw Yelena

“Vacation” you told her, it’s the truth… well half of it, I know Natasha hated it here and would never return here that’s why your picked this place too.

“I like your vest by the way” you pointed out as she smirks at you brushing her vest

“I know right! It has a lot of pockets” you both laugh at that and just catch up telling stories to stories about your life and hers.

You stayed longer than anticipated in Budapest with Yelena, you and her slowly set free all the other Ballerina’s from the Red room as they kept sending women after women to you well until the task master intercepted all your plans pushing you, Yelena and 4 other women Karina, Helena, Catriona and Irina to retreat.

“What do we do now?” you heard Karina asked as you thought for a plan

“We need your mother and father” you pointed out to Yelena as she pointed herself out in confusion

You all hatch a plan to break Alexie the Red Guardian out of prison

“You know things have been all over the place since the Avengers broke apart right?” Rick said as you payed him for bringing you a ride

“I’m not an Avenger Mason… how is Natasha?” you asked curious to what the red head is up to

“she’s in Norway right now and hiding from the secretary” you nodded as you faced him

“she needs you Y/N” he knew about your relationship but never knew what had happened to why you two fall apart, you just gave him a nod

“let me finish this up and I’ll visit her soon” he smiled at your reply and happily left

 “So you and my sister are like… together?” you whipped your head to Yelena who is now inside the pilot seat as the others flood inside getting ready to the mission.

“not anymore” you replied sitting beside her turning the helicopter on leaving to break Alexie out.

“Wanna get a drink after this?” Yelena ask as you took some heavy breaths after bringing the Red room down and saving everyone in it

“and what kind of drink is that? because I can only accept you drinking Vodka and that’s it” Melina questions her with a motherly warning as she crossed her hands and Alexie massaging her shoulder

“Melina darling our little Yelena is not so little anymore let her be” Alexie said as his thick Russian accent filled Melina’s ear trying to relax the woman as you all laugh

“so… where to now?” Yelena ask as Alexie, Melina and the other girls got inside a ship

 “to your sister” you replied smirking at her knowing she really wants to meet her.

 “you think she would like this jacket?” she asked nervously at you which you replied with a grinned

“she would love it, has a lot of pockets” you both laugh waving the others goodbye promising to be visiting soon as you both head to Norway.

You brought some drinks and foods as Yelena nervously stood behind you as you knock to the door of a trailer which surprisingly opened as a certain red head throw herself at you crushing you to a tight embrace which you gladly returned as you melted in her hug

“I-I kept looking for you! I thought I lost you Y/N” your heart stung as Natasha cried in your arms as you comforted her telling her how sorry you are for leaving her all alone.

You two broke apart as Yelena cleared her throat letting her presence known

“we better take this inside” the sisters nod piling up inside the trailer Natasha is currently staying

“so who’s this?” Natasha asked you pointing out to Yelena, Yelena looked at you nervously as you just gave her a smile and nodded at her

“I’m Yelena Belova… it’s nice to finally meet you sister…” Yelena gave Natasha the picture of them when they were kids as Natasha took it looking at it first processing the information before crushing Yelena in a hug which she happily returned… finally after years being away the sister are now reunited together.

You three got settled in as Yelena volunteered to prepare the foods while you took a breather outside with Natasha following behind you.

You felt the red head hugging you from the back tightly taking deep breaths as she took you scent as proof of you being actually there for her.

“Im sorry Y/N” her broken voice made your heart ache and race at the same time as you turned around seeing her eyes pooling up tears.

“I-I’m sorry… please come back to me Y/N I-I can’t- I can’t do this without you” you wiped her tears like you always do kissing her temple as

“I’m here Natalia… I’m always here” you felt her hold got tighter

 “Will you stay with me again?” she asked you

You took a breath as you cupped her face making her look at you, for the millionth time you got lost in her foresty deep green eyes remembering your promise to her as you gave her your answer.

  “always Iyubov… always”

Fighting a killer robot and alien was not really in your skill range but here you are fighting one as Sam kicked Proxima off sending her flying back to her partner aiming the gun to them as Natasha spoke

“we don’t wanna kill you, but we will” she threatened

“you’ll never get the chance again” the alien answered sending beam form their ship as they disappear to it.

“That’s a court-marshal… It’s great to see you Cap” Rhodey said as he faced Steve who offered his hand shacking Rhodey’s hand.

“Hey”

Natasha smiled stepping up as Rhodey gave her an arm hug and froze when he saw you not expecting you to be with them after you left the compound

“Good to see you too Y/N” you gave him a gentle smile

“you too Rhodey”

He took a glace to the others

“well… you guys really look like crap… must been rough couple of years” he joked looking through everyone

“well the hotel weren’t really exactly five stars” Sam fired back at him making you smirk

 “I-I think you look great” you all turned around seeing Banner back

“ahm.. yeah I’m back” he nervously said waiting for the reaction of others as Natasha spoke first

 “Hi Bruce” she greeted him

“Nat”

you felt left out as they greeted each other as you saw flashbacks of them being together, kissing and laughing filled your mind making your heart ache again as it reminds you how Natasha and Banner had once loved each other.

Natasha then nodded at him as she looked at you holding your hands tight as she smiled assuring you that her greetings with him meant nothing.

You gave her a smile knowing she promised you to never leave you again as she had regretted it once you catch a glimpse of sadness in Bruce’s face that is still staring at Natasha… well the both of you… as she stares at you…

“this is awkward” you heard Sam murmured at the back as you silently agreed to him

You saw a white and blue blur traveled from the door and stopping in front of you revealing the twin brother of Wanda, Pietro grinning at you as he took a jump to hug you

“Y/N!” he excitedly yelled as you chuckled at his antic hugging him back, you can feel from the back of your head Wanda’s eyes rolling at her brother, you patted his back as you both broke the hug

“Faster and stronger than before and ready to kick some alien’s ass” he smirked at you as everyone laugh.

“Looks like we pissed her off” Natasha said as you stood firmly beside her while she holds your hand firmly, you knew she’s scared with all of the nasty alien running towards all of you but she’s holding up her guard really well in front of everyone.

“You think?” you jokingly asked her just to lighten the mood before all of you fight, you felt her hands got sweaty and is trembling lightly so you took it up giving it a kiss, she pulled your face as her soft lips landed on yours

the kiss was not lustful but an assurance, a goodbye and a promise.

You didn’t care if there were other people around you or aliens trying to kill you… you just need Natasha and time… whole damn lot of time with her…

Her forehead rested on yours, her hands wandering on your face trying to take it all in as you did on hers as if it was the last time you both will do.

“ya Iyublyu vas Y/N”

“ya tozhe tebya lyublyu Natalia”

 “stay with me?” she asked but she already know the answers to it…

“always my love”

And the fight start… a fight to save the universe… a fight to save everyone that is dear to you… a fight to save the future… a fight to save her.

“I am so glad Yelena is in Russia right now” you breath heavily as you killed alien after aliens that is attacking you.

“she would love it here Y/N these looks like the dog the she wanted” remembering that Yelena really wanted a dog of her own, Natasha ran to your side as she killed an alien spilling blue blood on her face after stabbing it in its stomach.

“eww…” you cringe in disgust as she faced you with an evil smile wiping her hands full of blue blood on your face and ran away to kill some more mongrel while you stood there covered with blue disgusting blood of the aliens

“that’s disgusting…” you heard Bucky said from the coms as you saw him not far from where you stood while his face is cringing at your state, you just rolled your eyes at him and proceed to kill more

You all were greatly outnumbered but when Thor with some of his friends came... turning the odds of winning …

 There is still hope…

 Thor threw storm breaker lounging the weapon in the chest of an alien that is attacking him but the alien still wiggle itself up to bite Thor’s head as you jumped at the back of it slicing the back of it’s neck finally killing it.

“thank you for the assist Lady Y/N” he genuinely thanked you as you wiped the blood that splatter on your cheeks

“there is no time to hesitate Thor aim for the head will you”

Throwing a dagger at the head of the another alien as it slumps on the ground

Thor seems to get it nodding his head slicing an aliens head from the side

“I will sure do Lady Y/N”

The aliens retreated but you froze seeing a purple large alien with a gauntlet came out of a smoke

hope was really out of reach at this case seeing the stones shining from his hand…

“Cap… that’s him” you heard Bruce from the coms as you all got ready

“Eyes up, stay sharp”

 Everything was like in slow motion as each and everyone of you tried to stop him giving time for Wanda to destroy the Mind stone.

 “Natalia!” your sprinted out from the tree you were thrown into as you saw Natasha getting stuck on a pile of rocks

“I’m good Y/N, stop that walking grape will you” she mumbles at you groaning in pain but before you stood up a power wave brought you back down on the ground seeing Wanda have destroyed the mind stone…

You almost smile in delight but Thanos used the time stone to bring Vision back with the stone, your feet felt numb but you pushed yourself up running as fast as you could as Thanos hold Vision by the neck trying to take out the mind stone.

Jumping on his back you took out your electric lasso wrapping it at Thanos neck pulling as hard as you can delaying his movement as he groan in pain of getting electrocuted but he was too powerful and still able to with stand it…

He tried reaching for you at the back with his right arm but Vision took a hold in it as Thanos is still choking him.

You looked up seeing Thor flying towards the three of you.

With all your might you pulled harder by the lasso trying to expose more of Thanos neck increasing the electricity as you shouted at the god of thunder.

“aim for the head!!!” you screamed at him  

Thanos seems to panic as he drop Vision from the choke but it was to late…

Thor’s axe launch towards his neck as you jumped back after feeling the electricity of Thor’s power as his axe went through making the purple body of Thanos drop dead by your side with his head decapitated from his body.

You slump back on the ground breathing heavily as Thor landed by your side taking the gauntlet away from Thanos dead hand giving you a hand as he pulled you up.

“Great job” you told Thor patting his arm while he smiled

“I am liking this ‘aim for the head’ move of yours Lady Y/N”

“use it as much as you like bud” you both grin at each other

 A wisp of wind came through revealing Pietro holding-up Natasha as she slowly limped towards you holding her side giving you a hug while Pietro assisted his sister and made their way to Vision while the others joined in as they all looked relief.

Natasha held you for a while as you wrap your arm around her waist holding her up taking your time to make this all sink in.

“so… what did I missed?” Bucky confusedly asked as he came out of the bush as all of you looked at him grinning and smirking

There were smiles plaster in everyones faces laughing a bit at his as you all happily left towards the clearing while Thor drag Thanos body as the raccoon and the tree took the head.

 “we won huh?” Natasha whispered by your arms as she buried her head by your neck while you carried her passing the small river while everyone celebrated.

“we did”

“how does a small barn like Clint sounds like? you know… after all of this… we can have some animals too like a cow and a sheep, we can adopt a dog and a cat and let Yelena, Alexie, Melina and the other widow’s visit or maybe we’ll have stables and have some horses and oh! and also a fire pit just outside the house…”  she rambles while you chuckled at her making her stop…

“what’s so funny? you don’t like it?” her voice got lower while you just smiled at her giving her a kiss

“I want it near a lake” you answered her making her laugh as the others froze after hearing it confuse and just shocked… it was their first time seeing her like this is they’re not gonna lie they are happy for the both of you even Bruce looks pleased.

A sparks of light emits at the front of everyone making a circle as Tony, Peter, a guy with a floating cape, a dude in red jacket and three more alien like person came out.

“What just happened? Don’t tell me you all kissed Thanos…” Tony asked looking around confusedly while slumping at Peter’s side as Peter hold him up.

Steve smiled at him

“we won”

Stark dramatically sighted in relieve holding his chest

“oh thank God… so… shawarma anyone?”

You got out in the cabin with a glass of iced tea in your hand seeing the love of your life leaning by the wood railing of the porch watching the scene unfolding in front of her.

Kissing her shoulder up to her neck, the blond moaned in delight.

“here’s your iced tea my love” you whispered as she thanked you and took the glass from your hand and continued to lean.

You wrap your arms by her waist with a peaceful smile plaster on your face.

“I never thought I would get a life like this…” Natasha murmured as she took a sip, you hummed in approval

“neither did I”

 Seeing Melina and Alexie talking by the fire pit with the other widow’s they took in also in conversation by themselves.

The avengers were also there joking around while beer on their hand, Clint’s family is also present as the kids roasted some marshmallows by the fire.

Fury being nosy as ever is also there as he tag along with Maria and Dr. Cho on coming.

Everything looks perfect as it is.

 The blond turned around facing you with a smile on her face, after all those years she can still make your heart skip a beat making you feel like there are butterflies inside your stomach.

“thank you for staying with me Y/N” she softly stated tracing her fingers by your cheeks, you took a hold on it revealing the rings placed in the both of your fingers.

“I will always be with you Natalia”

 “ya Iyublyu vas Mrs. Romanoff”

“ya tozhe tebya lyublyu Mrs. Romanoff” she gave you a cheekily smile as you both shared a passionate kiss holding her close to you.

 “So are you two going to stay there being all lovely dovely or are you going to join us here?” Yelena’s voice rang out making you both pry out from the kiss and looked at her with her hand by her hip and a stick on her hand as her dog wagged its tail beside her.

“shut up” Natasha replied rolling her eyes at her sister as Yelena only made a funny face at her leaving you both.

You chuckled at them as Natasha pulled you towards the fire pit as others greeted the both of you.

“nice that you can join us here Romanoff’s” Sam grin at the both of you which you just both laugh at.

 You both faced many challenges

Inspired by @saitama-division and @shinagawa-division, I decided to create my own fan children for Fleuret Oshiro, who is in a relationship with Rio Mason "Crazy M" Busujima of Yokohama. Hope you enjoy them!

1. Éléanor Busujima

Baby Child Teenager

The first child of Fleuret and Rio. She inherited much of her mother's look with the only thing from her father being his hair color. Like her mother, years of unhealthy reading habits ruined her eyesight, forcing her to wear glasses.

The serious, diligent one out of the couple's three kids. She was known early on for two things: her impressive intellect, which she inherited from her mother, and her serious demeanor, which she inherited from her father.

She is almost always seen studying or reading, as she places a high value on education. Like her uncle (Fleuret's younger brother), she puts honor on a very high pedestal and tries not to do anything that compromises her family's or her own personal honor.

She is very high-strung, which is due to the high amounts of caffeine that she consumes on a daily basis. Her father has prohibited her from drinking more than three cups of coffee a day.

Though she doesn't show it, she loves and cares deeply for her younger siblings. Whenever her parents are busy, she takes up the role of 'parent' and tries her best to keep her younger siblings on the straight and narrow.

2. Alexis Busujima

Baby Child Teenager

The middle child, and the most rambunctious one of the couple's children. Though they were born female, they eventually coined themselves as non-binary in their early teens. Thankfully, both their parents were understanding enough, and accepted them for who they were.

They inherited much of their father's look, but none of his persona. They had trouble controlling their temper and emotions when they were young, as they had trouble figuring themselves and the world out, which caused them to react violently to certain situations. However, thanks to Azusa Furukawa (their mentor), they were able to find healthy ways to deal with their anger, which has helped them considerably.

The most athletic out of the three kids, they participated in a number of sports during their years in school. However, they could never find anything to hold their interest. That is until they discovered boxing in high school, which they naturally took to.

They often quarreled with their elder sibling over trivial matters, but truthfully, they love and respect her as an older sibling. They also seek to protect their younger sister, as the career she is in is dangerous and full of sharks seeking to hurt her.

They are well-known for their huge appetite, which they developed as a baby. They often eat the most out of the family, forcing them to cook huge portions for them. They blame their metabolism.

3. Cosette Busujima

Baby Child Teenager

The youngest and last child of Fleuret and Rio, born two years after Alexis, and five years after Éléanor. She was a sickly child, so she cried a lot, forcing her parents and siblings to look after her. Like her older sister, she inherited much of her mother's look, with the only trait from her father being his blue eyes.

Unlike her siblings, she inherited no real personality traits from either of her parents, save her love and appreciation for art. She, at first, wanted to become a musician. But after being spotted by an amateur photographer who took some pictures of her, she gradually found herself wanting to become a model.

Ever since becoming an amateur model, she's received numerous love letters and confessions from boys, all of which she's refused. It's believed that this is because she is already attracted to someone. Who it is, is currently unknown.

She looks up and admires Anne Amemura, often mimicking her when it comes to modeling. She affectionately refers to her as 'sensei'.

Because she is the youngest, she grew up spoiled by both of her parents. If there was something she wanted, her parents would get it for her, no questions asked.

Drug cartel!Harry x OC

Warnings: mentions of drugs, prostitution, violence, mental hospitals, gangs, mobster harry

Summary: Nina'a been burnt out on her job as a psychologist, that is until infamous drug runner and mobster Harry Styles is sent to her prison for drug and murder related offenses. Slowly she becomes seduced by his charm and is willing to risk it all to set him free.

New York City Present Day:

"In other news, crime boss and drug runner Harry 'Kiwi' Styles, was sentenced to thirty years in Maxwell's State Prison for the Criminally Insane. He could be facing more charges in the following weeks across different states-" Nina shut off the radio as she pulled into her parking spot. She sighed, resting her head against the steering wheel for a moment.

She'd worked at Maxwell's Prison for two years now. The once bright eyed grad student had become somewhat disillusioned by the job. These patients didn't change. They didn't want to. It left her unsatisfied. Unhappy. But she couldn't quit. She worked too hard for this.

Slamming her car door she walked up to the large brick building, sliding her key card into the slot before entering a small 'click' accompanying her movement.

"Good morning Doctor." Her assistant came from around her desk, just outside Nina's office. Nina said nothing, entering the room and leaving the door open for her assistant to follow. She's too tired to deal with this today. "I'm assuming you heard about Mr. Styles?" Nina sighed, setting her bag down.

"Alexis not yet..." she rubbed her temples, a slight headache coming on. "Could you grab me a cup of coffee first and then we can talk."

"Sure...be right back." Nina sat down at her desk, blowing a kiss to the portrait of her late father before looking at the large file sat on her desk. H.E.S written on the front in large letters, a sticky note attacked reading:

He arrives at 9:30 am. You are to assess him and report back to me. -Kirk

Kirk. Her boss. Who handed every patient he didn't want, off to her. Probably as revenge for her not wanting to sleep with him that one time.

Alexis came back in, handing Nina a steaming cup of black coffee, just the way she liked it. Nina took a small sip, letting it warm her bones.

"So I see Kirk didn't waste any time passing him off on me." Alexis smiled sympathetically.

"I think it's exciting. Be nice to have a fresh face around here don't you think?" Nina raised her eyebrow, Alexis's wording sometimes was strange. But she decided to overlook it.

"I need you to cancel all my other appointments for today. I have a feeling Mr. Styles isn't the most cooperative person and there's so much to do."

"Of course." Alexis stood again, leaving Nina alone in her office.

She began to flip through the file, scanning the pages and reading up as quick as she could on her new patient. Around nine thirty Alexis knocks on the door again, opening it slightly.

"He's here Nina. They have him ready for you."

The interview room isn't comfortable. Nothing like a cliche therapists office. A steel table sits in the middle of the room, florescent lights making it glint. Two steel chairs, a camera and a tripod set up. No more.

He sits at the table, a guard standing in the corner, eyeing him closely, his head is down. Nina walks over to the camera, turning it on and angling it towards him.

"This is Dr. Mason, here with Patient 072310. First session. " she heard him chuckle as she sits down out of the way of the camera. She crosses her legs, holding her pen and clipboard in her lap. "Hello Harry."

He looks up, finally. Two bright green eyes focus in on her, staring intently as plump red lips curve up into a devilish smile.

"Hello Doctor." Nina knew he was from England. But it still didn't stop her from being surprised by his accent, the roughness of his voice, how low it was. She cleared her throat, straightening her glasses on her face.

"Patient has been prescribed 20 mgs of Ziatropin and Noxicin, to be taken twice daily-"

"They already gave me that love." He interrupted cheekily. Nina rolled her eyes, scribbling furiously before looking back up at him.

"Please address the camera during these sessions...." she looked down to see the restraints on his wrists the cuffs chaining him to the table. "Are you comfortable?" He shakes his head, looking into the camera lenses.

"No....no not at all." He taps his fingers on the table and shrugs. "But I suppose that's what happens when you get caught....they put you in a cage."

"You don't think you should be here?" He leaned forward, taking his eyes off the camera to address her once more.

"No." He looked down at the nametag on her shirt. "Nina....my, my that's a pretty name." She cleared her throat.

"Please refer to me as Dr. Mason." He chuckled again, sitting back in his seat.

"Whatever, look. I provide a necessary service....some people, well, they just can't handle it. That's not on me sister."

"You run a drug cartel. You've killed people. And you don't think you're responsible for that?"

"I come with a warning sign." Harry said, leaning in again across the table. Nina saw the guard out of the corner of her eye step forward slightly. "People...they know what they're getting into when they do business with me....they know the consequences if they betray me."

"Then what are you doing here?" Nina was genuinely curious. He seemed to know what he was doing wrong. Why bring him here if he knew he was wrong. Harry smirked, tilting his head.

"I don't have a conscience sweetheart. That makes me sick." Nina narrowed her eyes. She was annoyed with how cocky and arrogant he was.

"Not having a conscience doesn't make you insane."

"Doesn't it." Nina slammed her note pad shut, standing abruptly. Harry seemed amused, she knew that he knew he was getting a rise out of her. And she didn't like it one bit.

"These sessions are being recorded. Everything you say will be filmed and reviewed. If I can't find you mentally incompetent they will give you the needle....I'd lose the attitude and get a little more serious." She turned to leave when he spoke, his words sending a chill down her spine

"I like you....this could be fun.....I know I still have time left with you darlin' sit back down. I'll be good." She doesn't know what kind of game he's playing but she does, sit down again. "That's better....doesn't do well for my narcissism when people leave before I do." He said approvingly. He thinks he's in control. He needs control. Nina makes a mental note to mark that down later.

"Patient suffers from delusions of grandeur, narcissistic personality disorder-"

"Lots of big words to define me....you haven't even scratched the surface darling."

"Dr. Mason." Nina corrected. "And these are your diagnosis. These are the conditions that brought you here."

"What if I told you I liked the disease," he smiled at her again, a flash of white as his teeth were bared. "I'm true to myself. I don't want to get better if it means I can't be me."

"Well being you is what got you here." She ran her hand through her hair. "We're getting off track."

"There's a track?" God she could slap him.

"Tell me about your family." She said, ignoring what he had said.

"My mother and my sister never abused me. They were good to me. Still back in London.' His tone changed, his words softer as he spoke about them. "Isn't that a trademark of sadistic bastards? They're abused? Well I wasn't."

"Why did you leave them?"

"We were dirt poor. I knew America was the way to go until I got here. I got a job but wasn't making enough. That's when I started running. Made enough to send quite a bit back home to mum." He licked his lips, clearing his throat before he continued. "Worked in a strip club for a while, selling speedball to VIPs, keeping the girls in line....then I started moving up. And once I started climbing I didn't want to stop. I didn't want to go back down." He watched Nina take notes. He noticed her hair falling from her pony tail and into her face. He wanted to reach out, to fix it for her, but he couldn't.

When she looked back up he was staring again, green eyes gazing intently at her. She shifted uncomfortably.

"Do I make you nervous?"

"No," she lied, thankful when her time went off. She stood again, putting her notepad under her arm and shutting off the camera. The guard walked up to Harry, unhooking him from the table and cuffing his arms behind his back. Nina stood to the side, letting them pass, as Harry walked by her he winked.

"Same time next week doc?"

CHAPTER ONE by CMackenzie

“Welcome aboard!” The captain of the luxury trawler, ominously named Irish Wake, greeted them on the dock with individual thermoses of hot cocoa, and dire predictions about the weather. “There’s a snow squall coming so we best be on our way– you’re my last two passengers for the night.”

Veronica managed to contain her eye roll- barely. This was going to be a very long weekend if all she had to look forward to were predictable ‘it was a dark and stormy night’ cliches. How Wallace had convinced her to make this trip North was still unclear. “Why are we doing this again?”

“Because I’m tired of watching you mope.” Wallace, following the captain’s orders, headed below deck to the saloon. It was paneled in teak and outfitted with leather banquettes and an actual, working fireplace. Wallace dropped onto the bench, leaving the seat closest to the fire for Veronica, and tugged off his gloves.

“I’ve only been home for THREE days,” Veronica said, reluctantly joining him on the sofa. She loosened her jacket and stared morosely through the windows at the gray water.

“Exactly. Three days of unwashed you walking around in a robe, wearing a sad face, and acting more pathetic than Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree. I will not spend the rest of winter break listening to you sing Unbreak My Heart.”

“As if.” She leveled Wallace with a hard look. “And for the record, my heart’s NOT broken.”

“Sure, V.” Unfazed, he pulled out the multi-page invitation for this party and started reading. “The island has its own pond for ice skating, and there are--”

“Hello? Grew up in Southern California, I don’t skate.”

“You don’t surf either, so what’s your point?” He waved the expensive vellum invite at her. “They have snowmobiles, a heated pool, an extensive library, a wine cellar--”

“What no conservatory and billiard room?”

“Plus,” he continued, undeterred. “There’s a murder mystery for you to solve. You can show off your detective prowess, while I play your devastatingly handsome side--”

“Devastatingly handsome?”

“The Watson to your Holmes.”

“This is more Christie than Doyle-- And Then There Were None ring any bells? Do you even know who owns this mansion?” Her best friend was being VERY cagey about this entire weekend. “And why were we invited?”

“WE weren’t invited, I was, and you’re my plus-one.”

“So why were YOU invited? Since when do you have rich friends who can throw Gatsby-like part—” Veronica’s eyes widened as realization dawned. “NO, absolutely not, I’m not going to be trapped on an island with HIM.”

“Totally over him, my ass,” Wallace muttered, shaking his head. “You know Logan Echolls isn’t the only rich guy in the world, right?”

Veronica humphed. She could count on one hand—on one FINGER—the amount of wealthy people Wallace knew well enough he’d consider traveling to this desolate place, and risk incurring Veronica’s wrath. 

There was NO WAY she was staying. She rebuttoned her jacket, and folded her arms across her chest. As soon as they docked, she’d make the captain return her to the mainland. If Logan…  Veronica frowned. “Let me see that invitation.”

“I thought you weren’t interested?”

“I’m not.” But her curiosity was getting the better of her. There was just no way Logan Echolls would throw a lame THEME party. 

She held out her hand, and Wallace hesitated, staring at the card like he was trying to come up with a good reason to say no; but when none materialized, he relented, and passed it to her. 

This time Veronica didn’t hold back the eye roll. The first line read: ‘Mistress X’ (Seriously? What is she, a porn star?) ‘cordially invites you to a mysterious good time.’ As far as Veronica could tell, the only ‘mystery’ was the identity of their hostess (and why she loved stale cliches). And maybe-- “Who else will be there?”

Wallace shrugged. “It’s a party, Veronica. Did you forget how those work? We eat, drink, and have fun- the only mystery for you to solve is a fake one.”

Sorry, BFF, but you’re wrong-- there was NO mystery solving in her future, fake or otherwise. Even if her curiosity was demanding to be satisfied, she would NOT be staying on this island, which is exactly what she told the captain after he docked the boat, and she scrambled topside.

“We need to go back to the mainland.”

The man continued to wind the dock line around a cleat in a tight, figure-eight pattern, ignoring her demand. Or maybe he just didn’t hear it? Frigid January air howled around them and buffeted the sides of the boat, making it thump against the wood pilings. Veronica tried again, a little louder. “You have to take me back to shore.”

“Sorry miss, no can do,” he said, shaking his head. “They’ve upgraded the storm to include white-out conditions and at least a foot of heavy snow.” He stopped adjusting the boat fenders long enough to squint uphill at the imposing limestone mansion. “I just hope you kids will be safe up there all alone.”

Veronica followed his gaze. Copper-trimmed windows glowed from inside, and several chimneys dotted the black slate roof, all of them puffing billows of gray smoke into the night sky. It was both inviting and foreboding. She shook off the ridiculous thought, stomping the cold from her feet and shoving gloved hands into her parka. “Aren’t you returning to Rollins?”

“‘fraid not; I’m gonna have to hunker down in the caretaker’s cottage till the storm passes. ”  The captain glanced at Wallace who was still standing on the boat, luggage at his feet. “Let me help you with those bags, son.”

“We good, V?”

“It’s not like I have a choice.” Too bad she hadn’t paid more attention to Duncan when he’d tried to teach her how to sail, then she could take the—skiff? Scow? Sloop?—berthed next to Irish Wake, and make her own way home. “Let’s just get this over with.”

Without waiting, she left him to carry both duffels, and marched toward the house. Wallace stopped her at the front door. “Uh, Veronica, before we go in, you should know there’s a story to follow.”

“Say what now? A story?”

“Yeah, for the mystery. It’s called Murder at the High School Reunion.” He dropped the bags, and withdrew a blood-red envelope from his coat pocket. “You’re supposed to be Enid Curtis,” he added, handing her the sealed letter.

Veronica groaned. As if this wasn’t bad enough, now she had to be called Enid AND attend a pretend reunion. She ripped open the character summary. 

Enid Curtis was the high school outcast. She couldn’t wait for senior year to be over so she could escape her hometown. Immediately after graduating, she fled to New York and became a successful lawyer, but she never got over her one true love, Mason. Enid is attending this weekend in the hopes of rekindling their relationship, but a dark secret—

“You are so going to owe me for doing this,” Veronica said, skimming the rest of the contents to confirm she wasn’t the killer. “I’m thinking YOU will be the one driving to Stanford every single weekend from now until the time I graduate.” 

“Haven’t I been doing that?” 

“Yes, but now you’ll do it without complaint.” She shoved the red card into her messenger bag. Depending on how many guests and bedrooms, she could have this solved in under an hour. All she needed was to search everyone’s things to read their dossiers. “So which high-school stereotype are you? Wait, let me guess-- class president? Teacher’s pet? No, no, I’ve got it, you’re the new transfer student!”

“You disappoint me,” Wallace said with a sad head shake. “Obviously, I’m the lovable jock- Brady Huddle.”

“Bad puns too? Could this weekend get any worse?” She entered the house and got her answer-- yes, it could. In fact, the party completely bypassed ‘worse’ and went straight to intolerable as she crossed the threshold into the living room. Dick Casablancas was behind the bar (natch), pouring a liberal amount of vodka in a collins glass. A probably-tipsy Gia, who was draped over Luke Haldeman, giggled at Dick, and Veronica’s eye twitched. Hell. I’m in hell.

She scanned the rest of the room, searching faces. Very familiar faces. 

Cole was lounging on a leather Chesterfield the color of old parchment, his arms spread across its back like he was trying to redeem the lost souls of Rio, and blathering on about the Ivy Club at Princeton. Listening to him with rapt attention was Kimmy, who looked eerily like a dead Meg. Obviously she was still going to Fantastic Sam’s with Meg’s picture (and maybe even a trip, or ten, to Dr. Griffith’s office).

Floor-to-ceiling windows lined the far wall and in front of them stood Carrie Bishop, sipping a white frothy confection from a punch cup.  Her bored expression was reflected in the darkened panes as she absently nodded at Susan Knight.

“Who’s the girl about to be swallowed by the fireplace?” The carved-limestone monster was massive. Its mantle towered over the unknown brunette’s head and the firebox was tall enough for a man to stand inside.  

“That’s Alexis Link,” Wallace said, wearing the same moony expression from senior year when he pined after the perky cheerleader.  His sudden interest in this party now made sense. 

“Don’t even think about leav—” The warning was too late. Wallace was already on the move. She sighed. If the weather wasn’t clear by tomorrow morning, she was going to need a new escape plan.  

Someone playfully bumped her elbow, and a frisson of excitement shot down her spine. Please let it be, Logan. Her eyes flew to the window to see the person behind her, and she had to fight to control her disappointment when she identified Casey Gant.

“Welcome to Whispering Rock, Veronica.” He jutted his chin toward the non-existent view. “It’s not much to look at right now, but during the day it’s pretty impressive-- a pond, trees, mountains.”

“Is this your house?”

“God no, it’s way too rural for my parents. I think my mother might literally die if she was this far away from civilization… and a Starbucks.” He smiled. “I got here early and went skating with Susan.”

Veronica nodded, then schooled her features into a mask of disinterest. “So is this everybody?”

“You and…”—not remembering Wallace’s name, he skipped right over it—“...were the last to arrive.”

“Oh.” Any interest she may have had completely evaporated. What was the point without Logan? Could she swim back to shore? Throw herself into the freezing water and hope for the sweet escape of death by exposure? “Guess I’ll go find my room.”

“Do you want me to get one of the maids to bring your stuff up?” Casey glanced at the lone duffel at her feet. “Or did the butler already take your bags?”

“Veronica travels light.”

Logan. She whirled around to face him. It had been over seven months since she’d seen him last (seven months, nine days, and five hours, give or take) and she deserved a little ogling time. She drank in the visual. His hair was shorter, his shoulders a little broader, and his arms… woof. 

Her head tilted. “Hey.”

His smile was slow. “Hey.”

Her fingers itched to touch him. To reassure herself he was actually here. Missing him these past months at Stanford had been a physical thing. Before she did something foolish, she tore her eyes away, and leaned down to grab her bag. Straightening, she blurted, “Are you Mason?”

“Echolls. Logan Echolls.” He pulled a mock-sad face. “Have you forgotten me already?”

As if. She was never going to forget him. Or get over him. Or move past him. She knew this. Even if she’d never tell him. “I meant your character.”

“Shouldn’t you know? I mean I am your great love.” 

“True love.” She frowned. “And Mason is Enid’s true love.”

“Tomato, to-mah-to.... But I am surprised you had to ask. Haven’t you already searched everyone’s rooms, or were you going to do that next?”

She flushed at how quickly he’d guessed her strategy. Was there such a thing as knowing someone too well? “Says the original snoop.”

“Takes one to know one.” His hand closed over hers and he took hold of her bag. “I’ll show you to your room-- it’s right next to mine-- and I can tell you about the other players.”

Logan took a step toward the stairs and the lights went out. A scream pierced the sudden silence. Veronica identified the direction of the ear-splitting sound (near the windows) and her head swiveled in that direction. It was too dark to identify the person (her guess was Susan), but the cause of her fright was plain to see. 

With the darkness inside the house equal to the night sky, the view through the windows had changed. Moonlight and a battery-powered lantern illuminated the pond. A body lay in the center of the ice, still and unmoving.  

“The game is afoot,” Logan whispered near her ear.

“Who’s the dead dude?” Dick asked, as he passed in front of the dim-glow of the dying fire to move closer to the windows. “We’re all in here.”

“Maybe it’s one of the staff?” The suggestion came from the vicinity of the bar; Veronica guessed the speaker as Gia. 

“That’s lame.”

Veronica was forced to agree with Dick. It was lame. Why bother to set up all the backstories and character histories if you weren’t going to use them for the plot? She unsnapped the front pocket of her messenger bag and withdrew two LED flashlights. After clicking on hers, she passed the other to Logan.  “Guess we’d better go take a look.”

A smile flirted across his lips as he took the Maglite and tipped his head towards the door. “Lead the way.”

Wind whipped through the entrance, tearing the knob from Veronica’s grip and pushing the door wide. Logan caught it mid-swing before it hit the wall and held it for her. Obviously the captain’s weather report wasn’t just part of the story. Heavy snow was beginning to fall and a thin shroud of white already covered the ground. 

Veronica slowed her pace, taking tiny steps across the slick flagstone to the lawn. Icy flakes pelted her face, stinging her cheeks and making her eyes tear. A wide path was cut through the center of the grass leading directly to the water’s edge. 

They trudged along. Each slippery step treacherous as the snow continued to build. Veronica kept her eyes focused ahead. The body on the pond had yet to move. Its stillness rang warning bells in her brain. It was too cold out here for a partygoer, or even an actor, to remain that motionless. 

She stopped on the berm and glanced over her shoulder. Everyone had grabbed coats to follow her and Logan outside. All of them still believed this was a game. “I think you need to stay here,” she shouted over the wind. “And I’ll go—”

“Steal all the clues?” Cole scoffed. “We should all go examine the body.” He moved around her and took a step onto the ice.

Logan angled the light to see Veronica’s face and frowned. His gaze slid toward the body. “Let me go first,” he said, brandishing the flashlight in Cole’s direction. “No sense for us to be wandering around in the dark.” He enveloped Veronica’s hand in his. “Ready?”

Together they started across the frozen pond, inching closer to the body.  It was bathed in light from a camping lantern. The green lamp was on its side in a puddle of red. 

Blood. 

Veronica tightened her grip on Logan’s fingers when she saw the face of the corpse. A bloodied ice skate was near the top of his head, and a deep gash ran across his neck.

“Nice makeup job, dude.”

“I don’t think that’s makeup, Dick.” Logan played his flashlight over the scene. There wasn’t much to see. 

“Hey, that’s my stalker from senior year- Leo somebody,” Gia gushed. “Well, he wasn’t like, you know, an actual stalker, stalker, but he followed me around, and I definitely think I was his type.”

“Young?” Carrie said, without any trace of humor. 

Veronica didn’t have any doubt, but she needed to be sure. She let go of Logan’s hand and used her teeth to pull off her glove. Gingerly, she stepped closer to the body. Careful to avoid the blood, she bent down and felt Leo’s wrist for a pulse. “He’s dead.”

1. What's their name and how do they look?

- Kemara Kingston: i actually have a faceclaim for her! it’s IMG model Sharon Alexie E. specifically, when she has her hair in twists. 

- Lanai Greene: she has dark brown skin and natural curls. she has helix piercings on one ear and used to have a nose piercing but she doesn’t wear it anymore. she has a beauty mark underneath her left eye, and she wears glasses. 

(i also did some small picrews for them! the picrews had limited options, so they may look a little different, but it’s still them for the most part! 

4.  Can they handle blood/gore?

- Kemara: no. when she saw her first body, it was nothing but pure determination that kept her from gagging, and when she found that one girl’s body (i forgot her name, the one with the neck???), she jumped away so fast she damn near fell. she especially cant handle stuff like that after the end of book 1 and the fight against murphy. she is still very emotionally affected from what happened.

- Lanai: kinda. better than Kemara can at least. she’ll fidget when faced with it, but she won’t turn away. and when her and UB checked on that one girl’s body, she grimaced and glanced somewhere else for a quick second, but that was the most of her reaction. 

7. Who is their Love Interest and why?

- Kemara: NATE! kemara is a very gentle person and she wears her heart on her sleeve. she greatly appreciates those that do the same as she hates being uncertain in a relationship, whether it be romantic or platonic, and naturally gravitated towards Nate who was open and caring from the beginning. 

- Lanai: M (i cant decide if Mason or Morgan). idk how this is gonna sound but she’s used to..... complicated relationships??? like she had a bad relationship with Rebecca growing up, and she dated and then was betrayed by Bobby in college. she’s kinda use to being with people she doesn’t necessarily trust or have much faith in, so she was like drawn to M because of that kinda. like in book 1, M irritated her immensely, but those feelings also felt familiar to her so she subconsciously flocked to them. her & M are definitely on the same page where it’s mostly a “lust” thing in book 1, but dammit lanai WILL be open, trusting, and have more self love by the end of this series if its the last thing i do!! 

8. What's their relationship with their mom like? How did it change?

- Kemara: it was okay before the Reveal and even better afterwards. they’re not like close close, where she feels as though she can just chill and hang out with her mom. but she does hug her when they meet, and when they were in the Agency Punishment Room™ (jesus i have the worst memory), she stuck close to Rebecca because she does feel safe with her.

- Lanai: they weren’t close. like Lanai still called her mom, but she also doesn’t initiate any hugs and when Rebecca does show up, she’s more confused and uncertain than glad. in the Agency Punishment Room™, she doesn’t get closer, but she also doesn’t move away. later on after the Reveal, as Rebecca started showing up in her life more, Lanai started to feel more interested in who her mom was as a person. and in book 2 when they’re in her apartment talking about a heavy subject and Rebecca gets emotional, Lanai impulsively reached out to her. when she realized what she was about to do though, she brought her hand back to her side quickly. 

19. What does their apartment look like?

- Kemara: cozy and warm. she gets cold easily so she has throw blankets on almost every surface. she strongly believes that a person’s home should be the place they feel safest and most comfortable. she has a bookshelf in the living room, but it’s small as she does most of her reading online. 

- Lanai: messy, but organized. no one else knows where anything is, but she does. she also didnt spend that much time at home so she never realized the full scope of messiness until she had to stay there to recover after book 1. because of this, she cleaned up a lot, and now her apartment looks minimalist in comparison.

Kendall Jenner in Off-White

The fashions that done the MET Gala red carpet never ceases to amaze.  This year’s theme, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” made for some seriously fierce looks.   I posted my favorites on my instagram feed this am.  Here I’ll attempt to source affordable ready to wear look-a-likes.   99% of the attendees could wear a paper bag and make it look stunning but these pieces are show stoppers!

Kendall Jenner, now considered a veteran of the Met Gala red carpet, looked super cool in an Off-White OTS jumpsuit.   The piece was fairly simple with a couple stand out details, sheer gloved sleeves and pant legs with trains!   Her hair and make-up was flawless.  She accessorized with diamond statement earnings and rings from Tiffany & Co..  In the side by side, I’ve pictured this white off the shoulder number from by the way, it’s so reasonable and adorable for summer, I think I have to have it.

  The stunning and always elegant Lily Aldridge is wearing a Ralph Lauren Collection dress with a metallic belt hand-twisted and hand-knotted and finished with Swarovski crystals. She finished her look with a Jimmy Choo clutch and shoes, and Bulgari jewelry.  The Privacy Please dress from Revolve is a super reasonable take on the stunning Ralph Lauren look:

  It was Talita von Fürstenberg‘s birthday and she looked like the belle of the ball in a beautiful sky blue gown designed by her legendary grandmother.  I’m in love with Amanda Uprichard Amalia Gown for $334, the color is to die for, what a perfect dress for a summer wedding.

  Gigi Hadid, always a favorite of mine.  I love her style, california cool with a touch of NYC sophistication.  She wore an incredible Versace with stain glass window-inspired detail, I can’t stop looking at pictures of the dress.  While there aren’t many “real life” versions of this dress…the Michelle Mason dress from Forward.com, bares a resemblance with it’s single sleeve and high slit.  I can see this being fabulous at a summer party in the Hamptons.

  Gisele nails this event every year, I’m not sold on her look being on theme, but it was gorgeous none the less.  The eco friendly custom Versace gown was the perfect color yellow, this Likely one shoulder is giving me similar vibes.

  Anna Wintour’s diamond rosary and “Cardinal Chanel” dress were show stoppers.  I can’t say that AW is often a muse for my style but in this case I was drooling.   The neckline reminded me a bit of Gigi’s dress from 2016’s Met Gala.  The Alexis Annabella mock neck sheath dress, has many of the say attributes.

Hailee Steinfeld is quickly becoming one a fashion darling, her style has matured a great deal over the last couple of years, she maintains a girly feminine core, but has become increasingly more glam and edgy.  Last night’s Met Gala look was fit for a fashion Queen, she wore a white Prabal Gurung gown.  This Versace V-neck ruched tulle slip dress on sale for $399 has similar crystal embellishments.

* “Your honor I really don’t think that Mrs. Mason is stable enough to take care of these kids..” y/n speaks up. He turns his head to look at her over his glasses sitting on the edge of his nose. “Now that’s not for you to determine now is it Ms. y/l/n.” She looks down at her hands, “no sir.” He turns his attention back to the rest of the court and Mrs. Mason. “Visitations will be supervised by one of the social workers. 2 children at a time shall enter the house.. older siblings may enter with Charlie as well. If they are not visiting their mother they are allowed to stay with Ms. y/l/n. We will then determine if Mrs. Mason is stable enough to take care of them,” he finishes, glaring at y/n over his glasses once again. *

“I don’t want to go to mommy’s,” Alexis complains as y/n slips her fuzzy pink jacket over her shoulders. “I know Lexie..” y/n zips up the jacket pulling her small frame into her arms. “You’re going to be fine, we have to go get Charlie though honey, none of us could stay with him this time... plus you’re going to have Ava with you.” She pulls away kissing her on the cheek and stands to her feet. “Just remember this time tomorrow you will be back with us, along with Charlie.. it’s Friday!” She exclaims excitedly causing Lexie to laugh.

Jim walks into the room with Ava by his side. Them sharing the same look, considering they look just alike, even though he is years older. Y/n walks over to Ava and bends down to her height pulling the zipper up on her jacket. Ava wraps her small arms around her and she hugs her back, “You’re going to be okay Ava, you and Lexie both okay?,” she says trying to comfort the girl. She nods her head in response and y/n kisses her cheek as well.

Michael walks in behind Jim and brushes past y/n to get to Lexie. He picks her up and holds her and then does the same to Ava. “They’re gonna be okay..” y/n whispers to Jim and he looks over at her, “just like Charlie is okay..” he doesn’t say anything to her and walks over to Ava. She holds her arms out and he takes her and Michael picks up Lexie. They walk out to the car and strap the girls in their seats. Michael sits in back, y/n drives, and Jim in the passenger.

They make their way down the horribly familiar road. “Sorry no one can stay with you today,” y/n looks through the rear view at Ava’s fallen face, “we have to get Medina and we have court today as well..” no one says a word back to her as they pull into the drive way. Lexie and Ava unbuckle and climb out the car they grab their trolls and wreck it Ralph book bags from the floor board and Jess gets out to walk them inside.

She knocks on the door but no one answers. She turns to look at the boys in the car but they pay her no attention. She knocks again louder and the door slowly creaks open. “Hello?,” she ask pushing the door completely open. They all walk in and it’s silent in the house. Lexie throws her book bag on the couch and Ava does the same, sitting down. Lex walks down the hall going to her bedroom when she noticed Charlie’s door standing wide open. She peaks her head in, “Charlie,” she says in a sing song manner. But her brothers cute little smile isn’t what she sees when she walks in. “Charlie!!,” she screeches. Y/n runs into the bedroom as Alexis runs out into the yard with tears pouring down her face.

Both boys race from the car and Michael picks up the shaken girl. “Lex, Lex what’s wrong?,” he questions and all she can get out are sobs. Jim rushes into the house and looks down the hallway where Jess and Ava are standing. He walks up to the girls and Jess stops him, “Jim no,” she warns, tears streaming down her face as well. He harshly pushes her out of the way and walks into the bedroom.

Charlie lays in his toddler bed with his eyes shut and his face pale. “C-Charlie?”, Jim chokes out touching the child on his arm. His skin is like ice and Jim’s eyes glaze over with tears. Dark purple bruises line Charlie’s body along with ones on his neck. Jim angrily turns to look at y/n and walks over and picks up Ava and puts her face into his shoulder so she won’t have to see her brother that way.

“This is all your fault,” he spits at y/n pointing a harsh finger in her face. He storms out of the house to catch Michael up on what’s going on.

911 is called and they show up taking the small boy and to do an investigation. Y/n sits on the front stairs crying as Jim talks to the police. The girls and Michael sit in the back of an ambulance as a lady tries to comfort them. Medina shows up and exits the car running straight to Jim as he pulls her into a hug.

Days pass and everyone goes back to court and y/n is allowed to keep the kids. The funeral for Charlie was one of the worst things everyone had to witness. Watching such a young life be taken by someone that was supposed to love him unconditionally. They found her guilty, though she claimed insanity. She’s in jail for life, which is what she deserves.

Y/n’s household has been silent for days. Though they don’t want to admit they all secretly blame y/n, even y/n blames herself. They blamed her for having them go back to their mother, and now they blame her from Charlie’s death. She had to open her mouth about them living together, and Sandy found out. Which concluded in her taking them to court, and winning.

Y/n doesn’t leave the bed, and no one seems to care. Medina cooks, Jim and Michael help clean, and the girls carry on through their day. She hasn’t showered or eaten in days, and it desperately shows. Knowing she let her family down, and lost one because of a stupid mistake she made. “This is all your fault,” rings through her thoughts, and haunts her everyday..

The sun beams through her window waking her up. She opens her she’s and the smell of bacon fills her nose. Her stomach growls but she ignores it and rolls over pulling the blanket over her head. Little foot steps approach her room and stop at the door. She slowly pulls the covers down to see Lexie standing the doorway staring at her. “Hi,” she says with a little wave. “Hey Lex,” she croaks out. “Dina cooked some bacon and eggs for breakfast... do you want some?,” she questions putting her hands behind her back in a nervous manner. “No thank you sweetheart, I’m sure no one wants me out there anyway..”

She walks over to her bed and climbs up and sits criss cross beside y/n. “But you haven’t eaten.. and I know Jim misses you. He talks to Medina and Michael all the time about he messed up or something..” y/n looks at the little girl in front of her, “plus.. I miss you.”

“Lexie come on the food is ready and we’re all waiting-“ Jim says walking down the hallway and stopping when he sees Lex in y/n’s room. “Lex.. come eat,” he plainly says. Lexie looks at y/n but climbs off the bed and goes out to Jim. His eyes meet y/n’s and his heart breaks. “Lexie you go.. tell them not to wait on me okay?” He says softly to the little girl and she nods her head and runs on.

Jim steps into the bedroom. Y/n is now turned over with the cover back over her head. Jim sits on the edge of the bed and throws his leg up to face her. “Hey.. y/n,” he says softly. “Hey,” she says back. He sighs, “it’s been about 4 days since you’ve really eaten anything..” she says silent under the cover. “I’m really sorry for what I said..” he plays nervously with his fingers. “It’s okay, it is my fault..” tears roll down her cheeks. “I know you all think it is.. and that’s okay..” He stays silent, knowing that she is right. “If I would’ve just kept my dumbass mouth shut, we wouldn’t be in this situation.. the girls wouldn’t have even had to experience that and.. Charlie ..” she sobs. Jim pulls the blanket off her head and pulls her into his arms. “We have to work together in this.. we’re all getting better and you have to get better too. Charlie is way better off now then he ever was here.. I was just angry at the time and.. I’m sorry about what I said to you.”

Everyone was standing at the door way listening to them and they enter the room. The girls climb on the bed and lay on top of y/n laughing. Medina lays on the opposite side of her and Michael joins the girls by laying on top. “Y/n you’ve got to get up and eat,” Michael says to her directly in her face. “Medina cooked enough for you to eat 50 million plates!,” Ava exclaims throwing her hands in the air earning a laugh from Lexie. “Well I don’t think I cooked that much but I definitely cooked plenty,” Medina chuckles. “We we’re just all upset .. She cracks a small smile up at him and looks at everyone. “We love you so much y/n,” she laughs as she’s crying but wipes her tears away. “I love you guys too,” Michael showers her face in kisses, as does Jim and the girls.

“Now I don’t wanna be mean but y/n honey, you desperately need a shower,” Jim says causing everyone to laugh. “I know, I know. You guys go eat and I’ll go get a shower and be in there in a sec okay?,” she says and they agree.

She finally gets a shower and eats and everything slowly starts to go back to normal.. and Charlie will live on in their hearts forever.
