He could not avoid it, he was just way too big. Too tall, his legs too long. Every time Alexei sat, his knees drifted apart as he relaxed, his thick thighs spreading slowly.
He always tried to control his body when he sat by your side, but he always ended up taking all the space, squishing you between him and something.
You rolled your eyes, chuckling, as his thigh pressed against yours, all his attention on the tv. Biting your lower lip, you slid your hand gently along his thigh.
Alexei rumbled, distracted. He scooted forward, spreading his legs more. You hummed, looking at his bulge, your hand sliding up and down his thigh ever so lightly.
You watched as his breathing changed; he blinked slowly, his eyes half lidded. Alexei licked his own lips, distractedly.
"You are playing with fire, little girl." He finally said, his voice menacingly low. You gasped softly; he always looked bigger when he was that serious. He looked at you from the corner of his eye, then your hand. You squeezed his thigh lovingly and he grunted, directing his eyes to the tv. "Do not tempt me."
"I can't help." You chuckle, sliding your hand up his thigh, then sliding forward, over his cock. You sighed, as you felt him getting harder. "You always sit like you're offering yourself."
Alexei looks at you from the corner of his eye, smirking, and grabs your hand. His grip is tight, perfectly squeezing your hand immobile. He presses your hand against his thigh and scoots even more forward. He hooks his thumb on his sweatpants waistband and with one smooth movement he pulled it down, tucking it behind his balls.
His cock smacked heavily against the back of his hand. You moaned lightly, eyes completely focused on it. Thick, veiny, heavy, his cock twitched and pulsed as it hardened. You licked your lips, mouth watering.
Smiling brightly, he held his cock with his free hand. You whined, a needy desperate sound.
"Patience." He growled, watching every single one of your reactions. You whimpered, nodding, relaxing your hands against him. Alexei smiled, enjoying the teasing; his hand moved around his cock, lazily. "After the show, hm?"

Note
….Alexei making you say every one of his tattoos before you can cum.
Omg I can see him doing something like this if you ask him to help teach you Russian.
Tumblr media
He'll have you on his lap, thick cock buried deep inside you, and stay perfectly still until you get the words right. Teasing remarks muttered in your ear, hands roaming over your body as he casually bounces you when you say something right, and if you get entire phrases right then he'll reward you with an orgasm.
But he will still keep you on his cock until he deems the lesson over and then it's time to play 😌

Seeing Red (Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian x f!reader)
Tumblr media
Characters: Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian x F! Reader
Rating: Explicit, MINORS DNI
Words: 1.5k, also posted on AO3
Summary: A late night visit from Alexei makes your emotions (and hormones) run wild
Warnings: SMUT (and some fluff), unprotected sex, oral sex (f & m receiving), somewhat established relationship
A/N: I had some wild thoughts after watching Black Widow and wanted to write this. I couldn't find a lot of Alexei smut, hopefully I did his character justice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You had just gotten home from a long, terrible day at work. You were getting ready to take a shower and relax when you heard a knock at the front door. Who in the world would be here this late you thought to yourself as you made your way to look out the peephole. When you saw the man on the other side of the door, you temporarily forgot how to breathe.
  Alexei Shostakov. You hadn’t seen him in almost a year. Honestly, you hadn’t even known if he was still alive. He wasn’t exactly the best at keeping in touch. Your relationship could only be described as complicated, to say the least. You never knew what to think. Were you friends, fuck buddies, or something more? He would drop by when he was in town, you had fun together, then he was gone. No matter how hard you tried not to, you had developed feelings for him. Sometimes late at night when you were alone and deep inside your own head you thought you might love him. Wasn’t that ridiculous though? It would never work, not with the kind of chaotic life he led. You craved routine and stability, things he could never give you. That didn’t stop you from missing him, from touching yourself to thoughts of his large body pounding into yours, giving you ecstasy like no other man ever had.
  “Hello my pet,” he said with a small wave. You opened the door quickly, pulling him inside. “Alexei, get the hell in the house before someone sees you!” you tell him. The last you knew, he was a wanted man, having been broken out of prison by Natasha and Yelena. “Okay, okay,” he said, closing the door with a boom. You step back to get a good look at him. “What in the world is going on?” you asked. “I haven’t even heard from you in a year,” you said, punching him on the arm. He chuckled. “I need to lay low for a day or two, and I wanted to see my favorite girl,” he replied, his accent thick. He knew exactly how you felt about that accent and he loved to use it to drive you wild.
  This man you thought, shaking your head at him. He knew you wouldn’t refuse him, especially if it meant that you would get to spend time in bed with him, which was where you always ended up. You felt your anger subsiding, all the stress of wondering if he was okay leaving you in a rush. There wasn’t time for that now, you thought. You hugged him, his large torso wrapping around you. His sheer size always made you feel safe. You met his eyes, and you could feel the tears welling up. “Don’t be sad, my love. I’m fine,” he told you, and he reached down to kiss you. It started out gently and sweetly. It wasn’t long, though, before it turned into something else. Your tongue slipped into his mouth, and he sighed with delight. “Ah, darling,” he groaned when you pulled apart. “I have missed you terribly.”
  You trembled at his words, your body tingling in anticipation of what you knew was coming. You pulled him toward your bedroom. You stopped just inside the doorway to your room, shoving him against the wall. “Are we playing rough this time?” he asked, cocking an eyebrow questioningly. You laughed and pulled his shirt over his head. You drew in a breath at the sight of him. He had added a few tattoos since the last time you had seen him. He knew how sexy you found all the artwork adorning his body. Your fingers traced over the lines of the newly added designs, your heart stopping when you saw the one on the left side of his chest. Your name, right over his heart.
  “Alexei!” you gasped, unable to hide your surprise and delight. “This way, no matter how long we are apart, you are always with me,” he replied with a blazing smile. You threw your arms around him, kissing him passionately. Unable to wait any longer, you reached down to unzip his pants, leaving him in just his boxers. The sight of him practically naked made your insides clench, and you could feel the slickness in your panties already. He always had that effect on you. He knew it, too.
  “This seems a little one sided, no?” he asked, grabbing your shirt and pulling it over your head. Your shorts soon followed, and he led you back against the bed, pushing you down onto it. “Let me make up for lost time,” he told you. His mouth found yours again, and this time he didn’t take it easy. He kissed you like a starved man, like you were the best thing he had ever encountered. His mouth moved down your body, his tongue marking a trail to your breasts. He ripped your bra off of you and began alternating between licking and biting your nipples. You arched your back, groaning in pleasure. He moved lower, working his mouth down your stomach toward your center. The feeling of his beard on your skin as he began kissing his way up the insides of your thighs made you wet with anticipation. He reached up and grabbed the waistband of your panties with his teeth and began dragging them off your body. You bucked your cunt toward his face, and he laughed. “Patience, little one,” he said, tossing your underwear behind him. You thought your body would explode.
  “Alexei, please!” you yelled, and your eyes rolled back in your head when he took his thick tongue and began licking stripes up your aching pussy, his mouth settling on your clit and sucking relentlessly. He knew by now exactly how to work your body, how you needed and wanted to be touched. You yelled his name, and he growled in response, the sound vibrating against your core. It was enough to snap the tension that had been quickly building inside you, sending your orgasm crashing over you in waves. Your legs tightened around him as you rode out your high. “That’s my girl,” he said, leaning back with a cocky smile, his beard glistening.
  You couldn’t take it anymore, you had to have him. You reached over and pulled his boxers off, seeing him in all his glory. His eager dick sprang out, and you leaned over, excited to please him. You had to pace yourself, his penis size matched the rest of his large body, and it was all you could do to take him. His hand rested gently on the back of your head, fingers twisting in your hair, and he groaned with pleasure as you licked your way up and down his shaft. You took as much of him as you could in your mouth. Honestly you enjoyed it as much as he did. The salty taste of him drove you wild, and you increased your speed. Before long, he pushed you back against the bed and lowered himself over you. Just the sight of him, his broad tattoo-covered torso balanced over you, made you wet all over again.
  He lined the tip of his dick up with your entrance and pushed inside slowly. You felt the delicious stretch as your body adjusted to him, relishing the feeling of him. He pushed into you as far as he could and gave you a second before he got going. You grunted impatiently against him, and he took that as permission to let go. He drove himself into you greedily, hungrily, and he felt so deep inside it was like he was practically in your stomach. Sweat dripped down his chest and landed on yours. He was gripping the headboard so tightly you were surprised he hadn’t broken it by now. He kept up an unrelenting pace, and your body was on fire. You could feel the pressure building inside you again, and you ran your nails down Alexei’s back. He could feel your walls clenching around him and knew you were almost there . He reached his hand down and began circling your clit with his thumb to help push you over the edge. You began to see stars, white hot pleasure coursing through you as you shattered around him. He followed soon behind you, filling you up as only he could.
He collapsed beside you, both of you completely spent. You reached over and gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek, curling up against him and resting your head on his chest. “Alexei?” you say eventually, deciding to just get this over with. “Yes, my pet?” he replied. “I love you. I just wanted you to know,” you blurt out quickly. You kept your head buried against him, afraid to see his reaction. He reached over and lifted your chin so that you had to look at him. “I love you too красивый,” (beautiful) he replied. You felt like a giant weight had been lifted from you. Even if it was just for tonight, he was there and he was yours.
You know what?
Tumblr media
Yeah. I went there. Cute funny smut under the cut (reader has a pussy, size kink to the max, this can be painful):
Alexei looks genuinely puzzled, the very tip of his cock nested against your hole. You whimper, in desperate expectation.
"But you are so wet, little sparrow... I don't know why..." He pushes forward gently, moaning at the pressure.
You screamed, torn between pain and pleasure, his gentle invasion making you burn inside. Alexei pulls back, looking at you with concerned eyes. You can feel the throbbing, your body protesting the girth of his cock, but at the same time it felt like you were mourning his absence, your hole weeping.
"You're too big." You chuckled, somewhat cockdrunk with all the teasing. "You're way too big. It's obscene."
"Nooooo... No, no, no..." He said, shaking his head, negotiating the idea. "Big, yes, not too big. It's gonna fit, here." He moves, in small thrusts, teasing the thick head against your entrance, as he watches your face.
Suddenly you feel so full the air is knocked out of your lungs; you gasp, your whole body tensing. Then there's the burning, as you feel his cock inside you.
"See?" He says, his voice strained as you squeeze him impossibly tight. You moan, feeling the stretch. Your mind just chants more, more, more. "Good?"
"Yes, please, yes..." You moan, suddenly very aware there was more to come. You pulsed around Alexei and he moaned, pushing forward. His hips pressed against yours, his cock splitting you open.
Alexei moans softly and leans over you, kissing your forehead. You're overcome with the delightful, sweet agony of taking him.
Big beefy himbos are mentally incapable of understanding how huge their cocks are compared to your little holes and I think that's beautiful
"Oh, come on, why won't you just admit it?"
"Because I can't deal with you inviting half of the United States to the tower for a party."
"Exaggeration."
Natasha raises a brow at you. "Oh really? And what about he time you put flyers around about Wanda's party?"
"She was turning 21!"
She gives you a 'really?' look and you know you aren't getting anything out of her. It just didn't make any sense, birthdays were the one day a year where it was all about you. Well that's everyday if you're Tony Stark, but for well functioning members of society it should count as the best day of the year.
"I will not be disclosing that information until I can trust you not to make a huge deal."
"What if I pinky promise?"
"You always overdo it, detka, it's just how you are." She plants a small kiss on your forehead and leaves you on the couch to begin plotting.
___♡___
"And then she said 'you always overdo it', give me a break!"
Wanda looks up from the pot she's stirring and chuckles, "I didn't know half the people the showed up at the tower on my 21st, [.....]"
"I knew I should've gone to Tony, he would get this."
"I don't think asking the most flamboyant Avenger would be very helpful in this situation."
"Right."
"I think you should just leave it, she'll probably tell you eventually." She gently taps a bit of salt into the pot.
"Or..."
"No."
"You didn't even hear me out!"
"I can read minds. It's a terrible idea."
"Firstly, reading Nat's mind to figure out her birthday is literally a flawless plan, and secondly, you're good reading my mind and not hers?"
"Natasha already set her boundaries with me, and plus I don't feel like getting my ass kicked for aiding and abetting."
"Thanks a lot Wands."
"Any time."
If Wanda wasn't going to cooperate then you were simply going to have to enlist the help of a certain blonde assassin.
___♡___
You hear Lucky and Fanny barking hysterically after you ring the doorbell, followed by fast paced footsteps and a small "One minute" from the other side of the door.
Usually a simple question would only warrant a text or phone call, but for some reason Yelena NEVER answers her phone. Unless it's from Kate of course, you're half convinced that she has a special ringtone and notification for her.
It's none other than the archer that answers the door, "Hey, [.....]! I didn't know you were coming over."
"I've actually dropped in unannounced, but I won't stay too long." You reassure her. Kate has a habit of forgetting things, including scheduled hang outs and honestly everything else that isn't attached to her body.
"Come on in!" She steps out of the way and shuts the door behind both of you.
You're immediately greeted by the two large dogs, fighting over your attention in a confusion of wagging tails and paws. Kate tries to get them under control and ultimately fails until they're distracted by Yelena calling them.
"That's totally not fair, they only listen to you." Kate complains and Yelena laughs.
"Because they love me more."
"Lies and deception!" Kate is soon distracted by the golden retriever pulling at her sleeve and gives Yelena a smug look before pouring all of her attention to him.
"Hey, Yelena."
"Hello, [......]. To what do we owe the pleasure?"
"Uh, I actually had a quick question. When's Natasha’s birthday?"
"Ah. I do not know."
"What?? But you're sisters!"
She shrugs, "She does not want me to know. Birthdays are not really Natasha’s thing, surely you must know that."
"Yeah, I know, it just doesn't make any sense."
"That's Natasha for you."
You sigh in defeat and sit down on one of the armchairs, your lap immediately occupied by Fanny who still wholeheartedly believes she's the size of a puppy.
"Well, there is someone else you could ask."
Your ears perk up, "Who?"
"Melina."
Ah. Melina. It wouldn't be fair to say that she hated you, but it also would be lying to say that she was fond of you. Perhaps you could ask Alexei instead.
___♡___
"Hello? Can you hear me?" You ask over the phone to your future father in law.
"HELLO? ARE YOU THERE, [......]?"
"Yeah, I'm-"
"I THINK MY WHATISUP IS BROKEN- MELINA!"
"No, no, Alexei there's really no need."
You hear the sound of footsteps and Melina scolding Alexei for always forgetting to turn up the volume before she picks up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Ah, hello Melina."
"[........]. Do you need something?"
"When's Natasha’s birthday?"
"December third. Is that all?"
"But- that's today."
"I'm aware."
"Well, thank yo-" The phone cuts off before you finish your sentence and you're left with about two hours to plan a surprise party for a spy.
___♡___
"I did it, Wanda!"
"Only took you half the day."
"Okay, hater, I need you to help me surprise her."
"Are you sure this is a good idea?"
"One hundered percent." You reply confidently. For most of the day you'd been discouraged, but now it was time for you to trust your gut.
Soon enough you've formed a team of Kate, Yelena and Wanda gathered in one of the common rooms of the tower.
"Alright, Wanda you can be in charge of snacks, Kate you can do decorations, and Yelena you can find us the cake."
"Can-"
"No it may not have profanities on it."
The blonde sighs but jumps into action with the other two. Now all you have to do is buy them some time.
___♡___
You greet Natasha at the tower's entrance with a huge smile plastered on your face.
"Hi, Nat!"
"Hey, [.......]. How was your day?"
"A little hectic. Wanna go for a walk?"
"I would love to but I need to sleep for at least ten hours straight."
You step in front of Natasha as she starts to head inside, "Wait- Uh, did you know walking actually improves energy levels?"
Natasha raises an eyebrow, "What's up with you?"
"Nothing."
"For some strange reason I do not believe that." She holds you in place by your shoulders and steps around you, but you take her arm and try to steer her to the kitchen, your plans are foiled by Lucky and Fanny who bound up to Natasha happily.
"What are Yelena and Kate's kids doing here? Seriously, what is going on?"
"Uhh."
"Insightful."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
She stares you down for a few seconds before suddenly moving towards your shared quarters and only speeds up once she realises you're trying to stop her.
The red head clears the stairs in a few seconds and opens the door, only to be met with pitch black. When she steps through and flicks on the light Wanda, Yelena and Kate jump out from behind the couch and yell "Surprise!".
The look on her face is priceless when she turns to you, "How- when did you-"
"I have my ways."
Natasha pulls you into a tight hug and you hug her back even tighter when you feel a small damp patch forming on your shoulder.
___♡___
"Okay, now make a wish!" Yelena says excitedly, the three of you are crowded around the table where the birthday girl sits in front of her cake.
"Alright, alright." She closes her eyes and blows out the candles, which prompts a cheer from everyone in the room.
The five of you all squish onto the couch to watch a movie and eat snacks and cake, with Natasha curled into your side.
"So, did I 'overdo' it?" You ask playfully.
You hear her chuckle, "It was perfect."
 |——————————— ⴵ ———————————|
You had been working in the cafe for a while. Your parents needed the money, and to be honest, you needed it too.
Your parents had been drinking since you were a young child, and you now you were a teenager, which means it is legal for you to work. Your parents didn’t hesitate to push you towards a job. With all their money going to alcohol, they needed your money for either food, or more drinks.
On the side, you would save a little bit of money, trying to save enough to hopefully one day go to college.
Today it was a day like any other.
You had just gotten back from school, and you went to the cafe immediately. However, this time was a little different. For the last couple of weeks, you had the weird feeling that someone was watching you. There had been a few people that asked about a lot of details from you, which creeped you out a bit.
At first, it was a red-headed woman. She looked to be around her thirties, and she was very kind.
Then, there was a brown haired woman. She asked how you were doing, whether you were still in school, and also how you would be getting home. She seemed concerned for your safety. After all, it had been late that day.
Then, a blonde haired woman had walked in. She went into the cafe with a dog, and after ordering for herself and her dog, she offered to walk you home. You had told her that you were fine, and that your father was picking you up, but as usual, he hadn’t showed up. The woman insisted on walking you home, and you had allowed her. What was the harm, right? She was very kind and respectful, and her dog was nice.
After that, you had a week of boring people, as usual. People who didn’t give a single shit about your life. People that only cared about the fact that they had been waiting on their coffee for five whole minutes.
You figured you had just been imagining things, and that the three women you had met where just genuinely kind.
However, after that week ended, weirdly invasive people started to come into the cafe again.
At first it was a man. He was wearing gloves, and he looked a little scary. His hair was brown, and he was tall and looked strong. However, when he ordered you decided he was actually very sweet. He talked with you the entire night, thanking you when you served him his drinks and food, and he tipped very well.
A week later, this week, you spotted the red haired woman from a few weeks ago sitting at one of the tables.
She wasn’t alone this time. The brown haired woman, who you had seen earlier as well, was sitting beside her. You walked up to them with a smile, pushing your odd feelings down and getting ready to serve them just like any other day.
The women smiled at you, and after giving you their order, they continued a conversation of their own.
You brushed your anxiety off of yourself, making their drinks and continuing with your shift. However, after serving them and getting back to another costumer, the man you had seen earlier walked in. He looked a little angry, but smiled kindly when he met your eyes. You smiled back, but before you could ask for his order, he went to sit down with the other two women.
Again, you didn’t think much off it, rather just pushing the anxiety away and continuing with your job.
It started to get really weird, though, when the blonde haired woman walked in. She was accompanied by her fluffy dog, which didn’t hesitate to greet you with a wagging tail. You bent down to pet him, when you noticed a slightly red streak running along his fur.
You went to brush your hand over it, but the dog retreated back to it’s owner.
She smiled at you and stopped at the bar, ordering the same thing she ordered a few weeks ago. After doing so, she went to sit down with the other man and women. Why did they know each other? Had it been a coincidence that you had all seen them before? Were they watching you?
You shook the thoughts from your head, preparing the woman’s order, putting some whipped cream into a cup for her dog, before bringing it over to the table.
You put it down with a smile, grabbing the empty two cups and asking if you could get them anything else.
“We’re alright, sweetheart,” the brown haired woman spoke with a gentle smile.
You nodded and retreated back to the counter, ready to serve other costumers, before you realised, there were no other costumers.
The entire cafe was empty, minus the four people sitting in the corner.
Odd, this was usually such a busy time.
You didn’t think much off it, rather deciding to start cleaning up a bit in the hopes of getting home earlier tonight. When you were about to shut off the coffee machine you heard the little bell ring, indicating that another costumer had walked in.
You turned to look at them, discovering that it was a tall, large man. He had tattoos covering his arms, and a long beard. He was followed by a woman, who smiled at you before she pulled the man over to the table where the other people were sitting. You hadn’t seen them before, but you did find it odd.
When your colleague told you she was heading home for the night, you agreed to closing up, telling her to get home safe.
After she left, you glance over at the table impatiently. They had been sitting there for hours, and you wanted to get home on time tonight. You still had a few tests to study for, and there was a project you were supposed to hand in yesterday.
You stood impatiently at the counter until the blonde woman walked up to you. You had hoped she wanted to pay, but instead she simply asked for a donut.
You hid your annoyance and got her what she wanted, smiling at her when you handed the sweet treat over.
“How are you getting home today?” she asked as she took the donut from you, taking a bite.
“My father was supposed to pick me up, but I suppose I’ll be walking once again,” you replied, closing the treat cabinet.
“I can give you a ride if you’d like. My parents are probably leaving with my sister anyway, so there will be a car left that I’ll have to drive,” she explained, giving her dog a few pets when it excitedly walked over to her. She snuck the dog some pieces of the donut while praising her for being such a good girl.
“That’s very kind, but I’m sure I’ll be fine,” you replied, not wanting to get into a strangers car.
“Don’t be silly. It’s no problem, I promise. A young girl like you shouldn’t be out on the street alone at this time. It’s dangerous, someone could hurt you,” the woman reasoned, and you thought for a moment before agreeing.
It did seem dangerous to walk home alone in the dark, and this woman was very kind. There was no way that she would hurt you.
“If you’re certain that it won’t be a problem…” you said, and you watched the woman shake her head.
“Of course not. Besides, Fanny would love the extra cuddles,” the woman explained, giving her dog, Fanny, a few scratches behind her ears.
You turned around, missing the sign the woman gave to the other people at the table. They got up, walking towards the door. The red headed woman stayed behind, telling the others she would be there soon.
She walked over to the counter, giving Fanny a few pets before pulling out her wallet.
“I’d like to pay for the whole table, please,” she told you as she grabbed her card. You nodded and typed in the amount on the device.
After paying, she thanked you and walked out of the cafe.
“I’m Yelena, by the way,” the blonde woman said as she waited for you to close everything up. “I’m y/n,” you told her, locking the register and walking out from behind the bar.
“This way,” she said as she led the way out of the cafe, waiting for you to lock the door before opening the door of her car.
You were about to get in before Fanny jumped into the car before you, settling in the middle of the couch chair. Yelena drove a truck, so it was easy to fit three people on the chair. You got in after Fanny, sitting beside her and petting her head when she laid her head on your lap.
Yelena got into the drivers seat, closing the door and starting the car.
“Here, you must be thirsty after working for so long,” she said as she handed you a bottle of water.
“Thank you,” you thanked her as you opened it, taking a few sips.
“Who was your sister?” you asked Yelena after a little while. She turned to you with a smile, rubbing Fanny’s fur.
“The red head, Natasha. She’s my sister. The big guy, with the long beard, that’s my dad, and the woman with dark brown hair is my mom,” Yelena explained, focusing back on the road. “The cafe you work at is close to our work space, so we come there a lot, but we’ve never been there together.”
“What kind of work do you do?” you asked her curiously.
“We take care of business. Make sure people pay… taxes… that sort of stuff,” Yelena explained, although she weirdly paused before mentioning taxes. You nodded, focusing on the world outside.
After a few minutes of silence, you started to get a bit dizzy, grabbing onto the dashboard to steady yourself as black spots took over your vision.
“Everything alright?” Yelena asked, concern lacing her voice.
“Just a little dizzy…” you explained, taking a few deep breaths in the hopes of clearing your vision.
“That happens sometimes after doing a lot during the day, especially for girls your age. You should drink a bit more water and take a few deep breaths. It’ll pass,” Yelena told you, and you nodded as you gulped the leftover water in the waterbottle down.
You sat back, taking a few deep breaths and looking out the window, suddenly noticing the road you were at didn’t look familiar.
“This isn’t my street…?” you asked Yelena, who merely shrugged.
“There is construction that way, so I figured we’d avoid it,” she reasoned, turning on her turn signal and steering into another unfamiliar road.
You were about to protest, but the spots in your vision took over nearly everything, and you suddenly felt to dizzy to talk. You tried to say something, but you couldn’t even remember what happened after as you lost consciousness completely.
-------------------------------------------------------------
You groaned slightly when you woke up, the sun blinding your vision as you covered your eyes with your hands. You turned around in the bed, pulling the covers a little higher a closing you eyes again, fully prepared to go back to sleep.
Suddenly, you sat up in a fright, looking around the room and taking in you surroundings. You never got home lat night.
You don’t remember anything past the points of being dizzy.
You threw the covers away, standing up from the bed, ignoring the slight dizziness as you walked over to the window. As soon as you pulled the curtains open, all you could see was snow. What the actual fuck. It never snowed where you were from.
You ran towards the door, surprised when it opened immediately.
You looked out into the hallway, making sure it was clear before you made your way downstairs. You could hear chatter coming from what you assumed was the living room, and so you tried to go around it, heading towards the front door, or atleast, what looked like the front door.
You almost thought you weren’t spotted, until you heard a voice coming from the living room.
“If you’re going outside, don’t forget your boots and jacket. Winters are very cold around here.”
You stopped dead in your tracks, frozen in place as the voice spoke so casual. If she knew you were leaving, why didn’t she try to stop you? You hesitated a moment, unsure of what to do as you looked at the rack of shoes. Your shoes were there, together with a vast variety of boots.
“If you’re hungry, there is also some breakfast,” the voice spoke again, and you took a deep breath before deciding to follow it.
You walked into the living room, seeing all five people sitting on a few couches.
The red headed woman, Natasha, was sitting at the edge of the couch with the brown haired woman beside her. Natasha was scrolling on her phone while the other woman was reading a book.
After they noticed you arrived in the living room, the woman put her book away.
“Where am I?” you asked quietly, glancing over at Yelena who was watching something on the tv. You couldn’t understand the language, and you figured it must’ve been something slavic.
“You’re home,” the woman smiled softly, getting up from the couch and reaching for your hand.
“We figured we’d let you sleep in, so I put some breakfast in the fridge for you,” she explained as she led you towards the kitchen, letting go of your hand and opening the fridge, pulling out a plate of waffles.
You went to sit down at the barstool, leaning on the kitchen island, debating on what to say next.
“Who are you…?” you asked hesitantly, afraid to upset her.
“My name is, Wanda, but you may call me mom, and Natasha is mama,” Wanda stated simply, squirting some whipped cream on the waffles before topping them off with some fresh fruit.
“... What…?”
“I understand that it may be a bit confusing, but I promise you you will be happy here. We will make sure you will never have to worry about anything another day in your life,” Wanda explained, smiling as she put the plate of food in front of you.
“What about my parents?” you asked, and Wanda just smiled.
“You don’t have to worry about them hurting you ever again, I promise.”
You nodded slightly, staring at the plate of waffles.
“So you kidnapped me?”
Wanda chuckled a bit, sitting down across from you and pouting you a glass of your favourite juice. “I guess you could call it that, although that is not our intention. We love you, and we’ll show that to you,” she explained, putting the glass of juice down in front of you.
You hesitated before you felt your belly rumble in hunger, staring at the plate of waffles for only a second longer before you dug in, enjoying the amazing tasty treat.
“Why me?” you asked after taking a breath, taking a sip from your juice and staring at Wanda.
“You are special. You might not understand it, but you are special, and we love you. You are perfect,” Wanda explained, smiling as Natasha joined you in the kitchen.
“Don’t worry about it too much, malysh. You will love it here, and you will have everything you could dream off,” she said, giving you a kiss on your forehead. She reached over to the cabinet, grabbing a glass and filling it with some juice as well.
“If you want, I can take you outside later, or you could explore the house a little if that’s what you prefer,” Natasha suggested, and you nodded.
“Okay,” you simply said, taking another bite of your waffles.
You were confused beyond comprehension, yet for some reason, you felt safe. You knew you were safe, and for the first time in your life, you felt content.
It's only pretend right? (Bucky barnes x Reader) part 9
Tumblr media
Summary: Alexei learns his new child is not a morning person, Loki and Grandma butt heads, Tony and Kitty find she is not a one-trick pony, while Terror twin Emma does the unthinkable
Warnings: goofy Avengers crack mixed with some fluff and angst , written on my phone so might be some errors in grammer.
previous part
It’s honestly is like a cliche to say it started out as any other day although it wasn’t she still had hydra wanting her to pump an army out super soldier, she also was walking up to the man she been in love with since she met him all those years ago and now he was peppering her face with kiss with the smile on his face that could make a nun sin. What she didn’t account for was her bedroom door bursting open and her newly found birth father storming into the room .
“ what are your intentions with my daughter” .
“ what the actual fuck man out of my room “ she almost snarled .
“ i don’t have to tell you my intentions with anyone alexei “ bucky chuckled the famous grumpy kitty morning coming to affect.
Without warning she move her hand to the side of bed feeling the hilt and the blade skimming the mans neck before hitting the door frame .
“ GET OUT” She yelled.
“ good chat , us protection this one can get pregnant” was last fleeting words out of his mouth closing the door quickly only for a blade to stick in the door.
“ stupid midguardian we told you not to disturb y/n “ loki laughed heading down the hall .
“ she nicked you” nat looked over man with appraising eye before following after loki .
As alexei walked into the dinning room every one looking up at the man amused , beth handing him a napkin for his neck .
“ is she always … so violent in the morning?” he asked.
“ YES” everyone almost collectively deadpanned looking at the man ,
“ only man to ever be able to walk her in a good mood was our grandfather and now bucky “ jesse chuckled.
“ honestly about time” tony sighed happily .
“ she is so cute “ yelena smiled brightly.
“ you do realise she not a baby right ?” tony brows furrowed.
“ she is cute though” wanda laughed.
“ not in the mornings she is frightful little thing “ loki winced .
“ she is our baby sister “ yelena wrapped her arms around izzy and jack both different reactions , izzy like yelena thought she was badass in many way , so did jack but he was also terrified of her .
Not wanting to leave her room , the bed because it meant not being in this bubble . the way she was laying down looking up at the man that made sense of the strange world she was thrown into . the peace in the storm that kept her anchor , that made her forget about all the revelation of her life , of the sick and twisted plan of a monster wanting to hunt her down and everything in between and after . laying in bucky barnes arm was like a safe haven to forgot the twisted reality she was fought against .
“ penny for you thoughts there doll” jesus christ the rasp of this man voice could clear the core memories from her head and make her drooling idiot in one sentence.
“ it cute you think my thoughts would cost as much “ the pathetic attempt to compose herself must of worked making him laugh at the sentence .
“ i don't know who has more sarcasm you or stark” he shook his head leaning down to kiss her nose.
“ she does it why i like her so much plus she smart speaking off my little brainy science bro breakfast so we can get to work” the man himself stood at her bedroom door burst the little bubble of serenity making her pout and little whine slip her lips . “ i ain't leaving and i'll put my suit on til you run out of weapons” he called, making her sit up and glare at the man .
“ i quit “
“ You can't quit plus were family stuck with me ” he winked .
“ sentimental asshole” she groaned, only smiling when Bucky's hand was in hers, pulling her from the bed . They walked down the stairs to the dining room with her family ( avengers and everyone else ) and shield agents. Her mom , Izzy and wanda cooking away to feed everyone , a long list of groceries on the table while tonys black card sat on top .
“ so what's on the agenda today” she yawned .
“ to get the vines out again see more of these powers to come out “ tony smirked as the room went quiet. “ oh yeah we totally went away from that didn't we , she got like vines and shit coming from her wrist like the web fluid he shoot but it comes out of her body “ tony shrugged like it was nothing.
“ my daughter is not only a firefighter “ alexei beamed.
“ I wasn't a firefighter to begin with” she rolled her eyes as she was handed a cup of coffee.
“ She's like a bag of tricks “ Tony beamed . “ with boxes of trauma and that's from this week alone “ she copied him .
“ You are a warrior little one “ Thor raised his poptart . “ a goddess “ he added.
“ minor goddess “ loki rolled his eyes only for him to flinch .
“ there is only one god and that is our lord, “ her grandmother glared.
“ I am a god you …. OWW “ he yelped.
“ you are not our lord,” she snapped .
“ I Am you crazy mortal … madam stop pinching me “ loki winced .
“ brother respect the elder” thor frowned.
“ SHE IS DEMENTED” Loki yelled as everyone snickered handing money over to kitty. “ You little minx “ he huffed.
“ hey blasphemy is not welcome in our household “ she snorted .
“ ok that was amazing your funeral is on me lady “ Tony chuckled at everyones head snapped to him , even Alexei looked shocked . “ what oh get over it” he shook his head .
“ That woman's gonna outlive us all “ kitty's father whispered .
she sat in the jet little patches all over her skin connecting her to the computer. her vitals on screen , blood pressure and heartbeat all to the side and while on the other side was a little wavelength of her brain . This was nothing new Tony had done before when he wanted to gauge the strength of her ‘gift’ . Now it was gifts , the side of her that wanted to analyse it , the science bro part of her wanted to investigate it all . Then there was the other part of her nervous in various different ways . what if she couldn't do it , what if she did do it and could not control it , if she hurt one of her friends , her family.
“ kid relax” tony hand on her shoulder , one of the rare moments of his comforting touch that wasn't filled with sarcasm , it was just a sincere comforting tone .
“ what if i let everyone done or someone gets hurt” that raw concern , that fear as she looked up .
“ not gonna happen kiddo , it not in you to hurt and if you do it's in defense or to protect , now if this is too much we can do it another time ok no pressure” he patted her hand , holding it for a minute .
“ I can do it , I can this” the small smile on her lips.
“ ok but just tell me if it gets too much let me know” tony headed to the computer . “ Now deep breathe feel that feeling you did that night “ he called.
closing her eyes , she let that night come to her mind. that feeling of protecting her friend , the feeling of near entrapment . that surge of power coming throughout her body.
“ holy shit” that phrase had her eyes opening and widened as she looked around the now frost covered jet , thick icicles that held to the ceiling, Tony in his ironman suit .
“ did i do that ?” she gasped standing pulling the wires off of her . the computer screen looked no short of breaking with the pressure of the frost and ice in every crevice.
“ I think we can take a break now” Tony winced as he stood . “ Mind melting us out?”.
the familiar warmth coming over as she directed it to the door now water spilling to the floor. Pushing the door open she crouch her hand hovering over the water in curiosity like nature only for it to move , like it was following her every move that made her raise the palm making the water rise with it . she turned to see tony face filled with the same shock as she had .
“ Well that's … interesting?” his suit disappeared as his hand swiped through the water she seemingly held in mid air .
it was ridiculous her family was in danger because of the family pet freak. being basically trapped into a house. she was fed up and honestly over it all .What was worse, the freak had her family wrapped around her fingers . nah emma was done she needed to sort this , she needed to get out of this house . so with the fakest sincerity in her voice she offered to go to the store . Now she was picking up food waiting for a moment to make her escape , the plan deep in her head. least it even meant if she was able to do this properly she could even get her hands on Bucky , show him what it meant to be with a woman of standard . one that would improve his image and popularity. the perfect opportunity hit when the agents were looking the list checking and making sure they got what was needed so far. sneaking out of the store , she made her way down the street. running as fast as she could hiding in alleyways . The van pulled up as she ran and hid behind the dumpster, not that it helped when she was staring up at the barrel of a gun , the logo she's seen before . instead of being afraid she smiled , smiled widely and bright like all of her prayers were answered.
“ finally , ok put that down” she stood taking them by surprise. “ I can help you get her” she smirked.
“ and we should believe you, why ?” a man stood forward.
“ because i want her gone”
“ bring her to the boss” .
She, along with Bruce and Tony, stood around the computer in the makeshift lab . three grown adults like kids on Christmas as they reported the findings once the shock of it all wore off of course . animatedly tony narrated the video of her freezing the inside of the jet before she well broke it all and the video went blank . It was mesmerising seeing herself , her eyes closed and the ice glimmering til it was almost a blast , even how fast tony got into his suit made them laugh. Then one by one everyone came and looked at the video , all in amazement looking at the screen then she showed them her with the water , how she controlled it. How she manipulated and made the liquid bend and move to her will .
“ You are a surprising little one aren't you ?” Loki praised , a praise in his manner.
“ Thanks mischief , it's so strange though, like what the hell did they do to me or would I always be this way” she mused . “ i mean i have to train these new gifts but are they dangerous to me or will they benefit us” she yawned, feeling overly tired at the new strain on her body , the exhaustion hitting her.
“ hey kitty nap time go kid we can continue this when your awake” nat rubbed her shoulders , all concerned eyes on her before she could tell them she was fine she was over bucky's shoulder a tired “ ok fine” coming from her lips . he could sense her almost limp when he lifted her of his shoulder he laughed when he saw she was already asleep . lifting the blanket over as she nuzzled into the warmth living up to the nickname . adorable and beautiful all at once , surprising himself to feel that love for her grow even more . a kiss on her cheek , he reluctantly headed out of the room.
she wasn't scared maybe she should have been , but desperation wouldn't allow her to feel this way . This could solve all of her problems , got her what she wants . The main obstacle that was in her way and source of all of her problems was kitty. With kitty gone , well it meant getting the man she wanted , that in turn meant doors opening , opportunities arising . This fucked up mentality , the way she thought this would get her what she wanted and the only reason she didnt get this was her adopted cousin , who she didnt even see as family or deserving of it all . Emma complained about the hood on her head , making the hydra agents roll their eyes and even regret getting this chick . the boss told them not to bring harm to her even though they wanted to gag her and order was an order so they listened and led her to the base . Hood on her head she was brought to a mysterious building , down what she guessed was a hallway . She was brought and sat in a chair the stinking hood taken off . The room was dimmed . the darker side of the room she could see the outline of a man. He looked big , looked muscular almost her type squinting to try make out a face .
“ So you said you can help?” the rough rasp of a voice spoke up .
“ i can , i can get her to come to you “ Emma beamed .
“ why should i believe you what if this is a trap , what's stopping me from my agents blowing your brains out now” he laughed .
“ let's be real you guys are desperate and without my help your gonna get nowhere” she scoffed, rolling her eyes again making heads tilt and thought wondering if this chick understood where or who she was with .
“ how do propose your plan” he asked .
“ depends on what it get me can you assure me she wont be found again ? “ emma looked at her nail before looking to the dark figure.
“ you'll never see her again i assure you , now tell me your plan” his voice tensed up like he was losing his patience.
“ ok mr…”
“ Rumlow , Brock rumlow” he leaned forward a devilish grin on the heavily scarred face .
“ Well Rumlow, here's how we do it” she held her hand out he took it shaking, listening intently to the plan. A crooked smile taking over his features making his eyes light up.
“ your a twisted little thing we could use a woman like you” he laughed, shaking his head already tasting the victory .
“ hey if i cant model , I'll keep your business card” she rolled her eyes .
“ let get it done my evil new friend” Brock Rumlow stood handing her his phone watching in amusement at the oscar worthy performance. from the fake despair to even the fact sniffle and fear . to the fumbling of the phone and bang on the table . taking paper and pen she wrote out a response handing the phone to an agent to read it out as she shouted help. when the agent held out the phone putting it soeaker . this was anazing , the agreement and then the hanging up . now what emma failed to see was that hydra only looked out for hydra.
“ tale her to a cell” he clicked his finger making hee exoression fall .
“ wait im helping you “ she protested trying
to free from the grip.
“ abd you. did we'll find something else for you my dear “ he laughed as she yelled , kick and thrashed all the way out of the room and down the hall .
“ shame she had potential but she annoying as fuck” he chuckled watching the monitor , watching and waiting know everything was finally turning his way . “ Hail hydra “ .
I am not sober right now, so indulge me...
Headcanons for kink: Alexei Shostakov (Black Widow), Jim Hopper (Stranger Things), Santa (Violent Night)
Alexei
Tumblr media
He isn't the most sophisticated partner. XD But he is eager and curious, and he will try anything you bring to him. He doesn't really like using rope or other restraints, because he is fully capable of restraining you with his massive body. He will spank you but will giggle like a schoolgirl through the whole process, from sheer giddiness. He will shift to a fully serious, hair-pulling growling dom if you disrespect him though (isn't that the game?)
He loves the idea of roleplaying, but he is so cheesy doing it you WILL feel you're in a 70's porno. It is hot and fun in its own way.
He's mostly a soft dom who loves the idea of using you for his fun. And his fun is making you come again and again. It makes him feel powerful.
He really, really wants to please. So if you praise him, he will be a babbling mess and will become putty in your hands. Use it well, it's the only way you're gonna ride him because he loves restraining you with his body. He doesn't really understand daddy kink, but it's ok if you call him daddy. He does have a size kink, with everyone being smaller than him, but I bet he would pop a boner if you were his own size or bigger (it would be a delightful surprise for him).
Hopper
Tumblr media
I can see Big Jim as vanilla as it comes. Mostly because he thinks most things are distractions. He just wants to devour you.
Ok, not so vanilla, he really really likes to spank you.
Well, he also loves manhandling you.
And he loves you on your knees, looking at him with big eyes.
But that is just him! If you bring him the idea of domination and submission, he won't understand how it relates to him. He's absolutely oblivious.
Big Jim has basically two modes. Classic!dom, who will spank you, growl orders, fuck you hard, pull your hair, make you beg for an orgasm. And Service!dom, who will cover you in soft praise, eat you up and finger you for hours, who will suck on your nipples as he rubs your clit gently, make you beg for him to stop and just fuck you already, you're so overstimulated.
Even when you take charge, he has this look of control over things, he smiles at you as if he's indulging you in good nature. He thought it was very cute when you handcuffed him that time.
Calling him daddy is a no-no. He's a bit sensitive. But if you call him sir, or chief in a sexual way... You'll get a raise.
Santa
Tumblr media
That is a dirty old man as I have ever seen one. That man is kinky as fuck and nothing you say can make me think differently. He's very respectable, a good man, but he will pop a boner if you call him Father Christmas in a sexual way. He has a daddy kink and it's a severe one.
He is a flirty menace and will talk you into an orgasm. He is incredibly vocal, grunts, moans, and dirty talking. Sweet praise and playful degradation so you don't forget how naughty you really are. He will make you admit to every desire, to admit that you love what he does to you, out loud.
Oh, and he is there to realize all your fantasies, the best he can. If you want it, he will try it at least once. He will judge you? Yes. He will probably mock you playfully a little bit. In a dirty way. The dirtiest. Just so you don't forget you're naughty.
You will be tied up in red ribbons, some day.
He loves when you decide to please him. Santa loves to rest against the pillows and just watch you play with his body. Between grunts and soft moans, he will praise you, his hands gently petting and squeezing you in turns.
Lightning Bug - Chapter 28
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Warnings: usage of a gun (training), fluff, mention of past trauma
Word Count: 3.8k
You tightened the straps on your backpack as you waited for Natasha and Wanda. There was a knot forming in your stomach. They were excited to meet you, but what if you disappointed them? What if they weren’t happy with who you are? “Hey,” Wanda placed her hands on her shoulders. “Breath. Take a few deep breaths for me.” You nodded and did that. “Good,” you turned to face her. “What’s going through your head?” You sighed, biting your lip. “What’s going through your head?” You sighed, biting your head.
“What if they don’t like me?” You whispered. It seemed ridiculous to say out loud. “I’m a little nervous.” Wanda nodded.
“I was too when I first met them,” she pushed some of your hair behind your ear. “They will love you. Just be you.”
“And take everything Alexei says with a grain of salt,” Natasha rushed over to you as the doors opened and the ramp came out. Natasha told you they had to part the jet a little further away from the house because Melina doesn’t want the jet’s engine to scare the animals. You descended the ramp and hoped the walk would calm your anxiety, but it became worse. Each step you took made your heart pound faster and faster.
The property remained you of the Barton’s homestead but more rustic. There was a main house with multiple outdoor buildings. As you got closer, you could smell and hear the pigs. “There they are!” A booming voice echoed through the quiet land. It came from a man with a thick beard wearing overalls.
“Yebat’ (fuck),” Natasha mumbled and pushed you behind her. Your body tensed up as you watched the man run over to the three of you. “Alexei, no,” Natasha warned.
“Natalia, my pride and joy,” he looked at Wanda. “Wanda, hopefully, my soon-to-be daughter-in-law,” you saw the couple in front of you tense up. “Move. I’d like to see moya vnucka (my granddaughter).” You weren’t sure what that word was.
“Not with that energy,” Wanda said. “Bring it down a little, or you’ll scare her off.” The man gasped.
“I would never! I’m her dedushka (grandpa). We are destined to be side by side like in American movies,” you peeked your head from behind the couple and saw a woman walking out of the house. Her black hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and her arms were crossed against her chest. Suddenly, the man’s face was in front of yours.
“Hi,” he said. You yelped and fell to the ground, startled by his sudden appearance. “You’re so small.” He pushed past the couple and grabbed you by the arms, lifting you like you weighed nothing. “I could put you in my pocket.” The man hugged you tight. “I am your dedushka (grandpa). I can not wait to tell you all about my glory days.” The man swayed you from side to side, and your body went tense, frozen. Even Wanda and Natasha’s voice turned to white noise. You felt a pressure building that started in your chest. You had to hold it in; the charge would kill the man holding you.
“Alexei, vinz (down),” a new voice broke through the fog. “She is not a toy.” The man gently set you down, and you were shaky on your legs. The man looked apologetic, scratching the back of his head. You were sure Natasha was asking if you were okay, but your eyes stayed trained on the newest addition to the group. She grabbed hold of your chin, moving your head from side to side. “Alexei’s right. You are too small. Is Natalia not feeding you?”
“Mama,” the read head groaned. “She’s eating.”
“Not enough. Come, I’ll cook you something,” she dragged you towards the house, but you dug your feet into the ground.
“Wait,” your voice shook, and everyone’s eyes trained on you. “I need,” air couldn’t get into your lungs. “Nat,” you gasped. “Help.” Quickly, she opened her bag and pulled out a battery. She placed it in your hands and knelt in front of you. You wanted to yell at her to get back. To run because you were afraid to hurt her, but the words died on your lips. She sensed your hesitation.
“I got you, molniyenosnyy zhuk (lightning bug). Let go,” You slumped against Natasha, and her arms wrapped around you. “That was a big one. Take a minute, okay,” you nodded and focused on Natasha’s hand, rubbing circles on your back.
“Did I hurt anyone?” You whispered.
“No, Wanda pushed Melina and Alexei back with her powers.” Good. That was good. You stood up straighter and saw Natasha smiling at you. She pushed a few strands of your hair stuck to your forehead from sweat. You felt hot and hungry.
“Hi,” Wanda stood next to you, and you rested your head on her chest. “How are you feeling?” You huffed.
“Better,” you admitted. “Sorry, that was embarrassing.”
“I think someone else should apologize,” you turned around to see the duo walk back to you. The woman hit Alexei.
“Sorry about that. I was excited to meet you.” The man’s cheeks were flushed.
“It’s okay,” you smiled. “Hi, by the way.” you waved.
“Melina, Alexei,” Natasha placed a gentle hand on your shoulder. “This is Y/n, our daughter,” your stomach flipped at that. You loved having someone be proud enough of you to call you their daughter.
“It’s nice to meet you,” Melina smiled. “We’ve heard great things about you,” her eyes pointed at you. “I still think you are too small.”
“Mama!”
*
“They are so cute!” You stood on the wooden pen for the pigs and watched Alexei chase after the piglets. They wanted nothing to do with him. Natasha laughed.
“Come on, Red Guardian! Didn’t you fight Captain America and win? Catching a pig for your vnucka (granddaughter),” you giggled and watched the man’s face twist with determination. You learned vnucka, which is translated to granddaughter, and the Russian words for grandma and grandpa are dedushka and babushka. Alexei was adamant about you calling him Dedushka. Melina shoved three bowls of chowder before she thought you were ready to explore.
“I got one!” A pig was pushed into your arms, and Natasha had to catch you before you fell off the fence.
“Alexei! What have I told you about manhandling my pigs?” You heard Melina call out and missed the murderous glare Natasha sent Alexei, too distracted by the little pig in your arms. It took a while for the creature to settle in your arms, but soon it pushed against your chest for warmth.
“It’s so tiny,” you whispered, so afraid to disturb the little creature in your arms. A weird feeling bloomed in your chest. It was strange how much faith the animal had in you. The pig trusted you to hold it close and protect it. Such blind faith. It was a little ridiculous, but it reminded you of yourself. You put faith in your parents and the man from HYDRA who promised you a better life. Now you were doing it with the Avengers. Was it wise to do it again? The third time is the charm, right? “What’s got you thinking so hard?” Natasha asked, running her hand over your head. You glanced up. She was smiling. Her eyes sparkled with love; sometimes, you forgot how much she cared about you. You smiled.
“Just, uh, thinking about life,” she chuckled, kissing your forehead. You basked in the warmth she provided.
“Never change, dorogoy (sweetheart),” you looked at her confused. “After everything you’ve been through, your heart is still good.” You frowned, unsure if that was true. You protected the pig with one hand as you climbed over the pen and placed the animal on the ground. It looked confused, turned to face, and ran to bury itself between your legs. You chuckled, pushing the creature towards its family. However, the piglet ran back to you.
“What’s going on, little one?” You asked, scratching its chin. “Why don’t you want to join your friends?”
“It’s the runt,” Melina said. You glanced over at her. “The others pick on it.” You frowned and sat down. The piglet climbed onto your lap and looked up at you.
“I was a runt, too,” you spoke softly. Your hand never stopped petting it. “I think we grow up to be the strongest of the group because we have to fight every single day just to survive,” you sighed. “And that can be scary, but I promise little one, everything will turn out just fine.” You felt a little crazy speaking to an animal, but the little pig seemed to understand. It glanced at the other pigs and back to you before joining them. You smiled and stood up. Wanda and Natasha were watching you with a smile. Yeah, everything was turning out just fine.
*
It was a long day. With the emotional trip to Sokovia and the surprise display of power, Wanda and Y/n were taking a nap before dinner. Alexei was outside finishing the chores he promised Melina that would be done, but due to the excitement, they slipped his mind. So Natasha was left to help prepare dinner with Melina. Sometimes, Natasha had to pinch herself to remind herself this was real. That the woman chose to be here, decided to be her mother, and that the Red Room wasn’t orchestrating this. It’s not another mission. This was real. It took a while for her to trust Melina and Alexei again. Yelena was the critical factor to help mend the relationship. She knew it was Yelena’s desperate attempt to have a real family. “It looks good on you,” Melina said, standing over the sauce for the beef stroganoff. Natasha hummed in question, focusing on chopping up the spices. “Motherhood. You fall into the role naturally.”
“You sound surprised,” she glanced over her shoulder, but Melina’s back was to her.
“Not surprised at all. You are a khameleon (chameleon). You adapt. It was like that in Ohio, the Red Room, and now with the Avengers,” Natasha wasn’t sure if what Melina said was a compliment. She turned to face the older Black Widow, and Melina looked at her. “Why do you look offended?”
“I’m not sure if I should take what you said as a compliment.”
“No?” She tilted her head. “You were always sensitive to that.” Melina walked over to the cutting board she was using and took it back to the pot. “I was trying to say it’s hard for us to be mothers, people like you and me.”
“Why is it hard?” She saw Melina’s stutter as she added the freshly chopped herbs into the pot.
“Because that choice was taken away from us,” Subconsciously, Natasha placed her hand where her scar was. The serum healed all of it, but she would never forget where it was. She dropped her hand when Melina turned back around to hand her the cutting board. “But you are doing good. Does that happen often with her powers?” Natasha shook her head.
“Not since she started training with Maria,” Natasha began cleaning the dishes she no longer needed. The farmhouse needed to be equipped with a dishwasher; she preferred to do it by hand. It kept her busy.
“Is she training to be an Avenger?”
“No, I mean she could join the team if she wants, but we are focusing on helping her control her powers,” Or help her fight this new threat that was possibly coming. She would have a long chat with Vision when she got back.
“Are you and Wanda going to have more children?” Natasha felt her cheeks warm up. “I would like to have more grandchildren to spoil.”
“Mama! We just adopted her. Give us some time.” Melina chuckled and wiped her hands on a dish towel. The gentle hand of Melina on her shoulder caused Natasha’s body to go rigid, but she turned around to face her. The woman places both hands on her cheeks.
“Throughout our entire life, every choice was made for us,” her voice was so soft Natasha had to remind herself who was speaking to her. “But you chose to be that little girl’s mama, and being a mother is the greatest gift. Cherish it.” It was hard for Natasha to look past the betrayal towards Alexei and Melina. Melina was the only mother she knew since the Red Room took her biological one away. Melina was part of the system that kept hundreds of girls trapped even when she was trapped herself.
The sudden moment was interpreted by the crack of a gun going off; the duo separated immediately. “There is a pistol in the umbrella holder by the back door,” Melina said suddenly. She nodded and raced to where Melina told her. It wasn’t surprising to her that weapons were scattered around the house. Once her hand came into contact with the metal, she remembered to take a few calming breaths. The list of enemies was long and still growing. No matter who was here, no one was taking her family from her.
She kicked the back door open and expected to see the backyard filled with enemies racing towards the house or Alexei fighting them off. No. Instead, she saw Alexei and Y/n at the gun range for Widows that stayed on the farm. There was a pistol in the teen’s hand, and the gun going off two more times caused goosebumps to form on her arm.
“Alexei, what the fuck are you doing?”
*
You spun around to see two very angry Black Widows armed with a pistol and a rifle. Safety placed the gun down like Alexei and Maria showed you, and you ran over to Natasha. “Nat, come look!” It was enough time for her to hand the pistol to Melina before you dragged her over to the makeshift gun range. “Look how well I did!” You were proud of your grouping: two head shots and two in the shot. You looked back at Natasha and your smile. “You look upset.”
“Of course I’m upset. Melina and I thought we were being attacked,” you cringed and glanced at Melina and Alexei. The older woman was radially speaking in Russian and heard the word ‘idiot’ a few times. Suddenly, the back door of the house busted open. Wanda’s eyes were glowing red, and her magic danced on her fingers. It died down when she saw her family and no threat.
“Oh, I’m in so much trouble.” Natasha grabbed your arm and dragged you back over.
“Explain, both of you,” Melina said when Wanda jogged over. You and Alexei shared a look.
“I woke up and heard you and Natasha talking in the kitchen,” you said slowly. “I went outside to explore, and Alexei, I mean dedushka,” you saw his smile from the corner of your eye. “Saw me walking around the training area. He said you made it for the Widows that sometimes stay here,” you knew it had to do with some rehabilitation program Yelena set up, but the details were fuzzy. It took a lot of work to follow any story Alexei told. “I asked him if he could teach me how to shoot a gun.” The two Black Widows said something in Russian that was not part of your daily language lesson, but Alexei cringed. Natasha stared down the man.
“And you thought it was a good idea.”
“Her mama, babushka, and tetya (aunt) are all Black Widows. She should know her way around a gun,” it was a fair agreement to make. “She gave me very good-” he snapped his fingers. “What’s the word? When the eyes get small and sad?”
“Puppy dog eyes,” Wanda said with a smirk. Alexei pointed at the witch. “She tends to use them to get something she wants,” you opened your mouth to argue, but the witch gave you a pointed look. You thought it was best to keep your mouth shut. “I was unaware you had any form of gun training.” She said to Alexei, who gasped in offense.
“I will have you know the Red Guardian is well-versed in many weapons. Guns, knives, rocket launcher,” your eyes widened, and you looked at him, excitement bubbling in your chest. “No!” He shot you down. “Do you see how much trouble we are in?” You slowly looked back at the trio.
“On a scale of 1 -10, how much trouble am I in?” You asked, staring at the ground, unable to look at the three women. Natasha sighed.
“You will be doing dishes for the rest of our trip,” you nodded. That was fair. Gently, Natasha lifted your head, and you stared into her green eyes. “No more weapon training without telling us.”
“Sorry,” you mumbled, but the redhead kissed your forehead and hugged you. She smelt of garlic and onions.
“Scared the hell out of me, kid,” you nodded again. It wasn’t your intention, and you weren’t thinking when you asked Alexei. You felt tears form at the corner of your eyes, and she needed the hug far too soon for your liking. “Let’s see this grouping again.”
“What?” You questioned. Natasha pushed away a tear that escaped down your cheek.
“I’d like to see you shoot again. Make sure Alexei taught you correctly,” the man gasped, and it made you laugh. Before you picked up the gun, you apologized to Melina and hugged Wanda. With the short time you held a gun in your hand and shot it, it wasn’t your preferred weapon. However, with so many Black Widows in your life, you were going to keep that information to yourself.
*
Once the dishes were cleaned from dinner, it was another early night, but you could not sleep. Your sleep schedule was messed up with the time difference and the nap you took. So you got out of bed and walked out of the guest room. Melina had a bookshelf next to the dining room that you’ve been dying to look through. Many of the books in her collection were not in English, but you could tell they were science books. Your eyes found a photo album. Curiosity, you grabbed the album and flipped through it. Every photo was of two young girls: one blonde and one brunette. The images captured moments from Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. “It’s not a good idea to snoop in a Black Widow’s home,” you jumped at Melina’s voice, almost dropping the album.
“It’s also not a good idea to sneak up on someone.” The Black Widow chuckled, and you put the album away, but Melina grabbed it and walked over to the dining room table. Wordlessly, you followed her and sat down.
“Do you know how I became Natalie’s and Yelena’s mama?”
“Kind of. Yelena said a mission brought all of you together.” Melina nodded; the photo album was stopped on Christmas. “I didn’t ask specifics.”
“The Red Room needed agents to act as an American family to steal some classified information,” she traced the faces of each little girl. “When the mission was over, we gave them back.”
“Why are you telling me this?” You questioned. Melina closed the album and placed her hands on top of it. She was staring intently at you, and you felt small under her gaze.
“I wasn’t the mother my girls needed,” you frowned and took her hand. You flipped it over so you could trace the lines on her palm. Her facial expressions softened at the gesture.
“Are you the mother they deserve now?”
“I do not know,” she admitted. “But I’m trying to be. Not all of us get the chance to get two,” you understood that. You were lucky that you overslept that day, which landed you in the cafe simultaneously. If you were there at your regular time, you could still be living on the streets or bouncing between shelters. What a crazy what-if. “Never take it for granted.”
“I won’t,” you promised. “I don’t think I’ll ever be able to repay them.” Melina smiled softly.
“Love them as much as they love you,” the Black Widow said. “That will be more than enough.”
*
You were up early to help Melina work outside with the pigs and her small garden. It was hard work, but Melina filled it with stories of their time in Ohio. Even Wanda brought out breakfast and helped out. You told her that the dishes would get done after you helped Melina. You sat back on your knees and stretched your neck. Picking weeds out of the dirt was not your idea of a fun time, but it beat cleaning the pig pen or doing the dishes. The sun felt different out here compared to Iowa and New York. You liked it, and it made you think about what Natasha asked you about - living somewhere like this. Away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. A place where you could get your dog and have them run around the backyard. It was a good idea, maybe one day. “Mama, are you overworking my niece already?” Your head wiped towards the voice. Yelena and Kate were talking in the garden. You jumped to your feet and ran over to them. The couple caught you as you threw yourself at them.
“I didn’t know you were coming to visit!” You smiled.
“That’s because it was a surprise, bud.” Kate laughed.
“Did you think I would subject you to a full day of Alexei’s torment without me?” You giggled. “I heard you got into a little trouble.” You awkwardly shrugged. “Proud of you.”
“Yelena, do not corrupt my granddaughter,” the older Black Widow came over to greet the newcomers. “Kate, how are you? Is Yelena treating you well?” The archer blushed.
“Yes, Melina. I’m doing great.” The blonde’s mouth hung open slightly.
“Come, I’ll make you something.” Melina put her arm around Kate and led her to the house. “Yelena, close your mouth. You’ll eat a fly.” You used your pointer finger to close her mouth, and she slapped your hand away.
“Unbelievable,” Yelena said once her girlfriend and mother were out of earshot. “She likes the people we bring home more than her daughters.” You smiled and lopped your arms through hers. “How do you like Russia?” She asked as you both walked towards the house.
“I like it!” You said. It was the truth. “Just different than Iowa and the city.” Yelena hummed in agreement.
“It took me a while to learn that the differences we see make for a wonderful world.”
a mission of liberation. pt.5
Tumblr media
Pairing: Winter Soldier x Red Guardian
Warnings: language!
Summary: Four years after meeting the Winter Soldier, Alexi Shostakov finds himself face to face with the man he once knew. SHIELD assigns him the mission to find and liberate him.
Word Count: 2.9k
notes: THIS IS UNEDITED AND DISGUSTINGLY LATE BUT I FINISH WHAT I START SO YOU'RE GETTING ANOTHER CHAPTER. PLEASE LIKE IT.
HOMOEROTIC FIGHTING IN ROMANTIC SUNRISE LIGHTING. THERE WAS AN ATTEMPT.
┌── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┐
He was just a shadow between the trees, the sparse light of the crescent moon causing Alexei look to twice, but he knew that silhouette anywhere.
Alexei’s body erupted in cascading waves of goosebumps as the stillness of the killer stared blankly at him, as if he were not even alive, but rather just a piece of lifeless taxidermy with glass eyes once leading to the soul.
For nearly a minute, they stared at each other from across the highway. This was a hunt.
Cicadas sang as Alexei prepared himself to sprint over the road and tackle him to the ground as quickly as he could, enough at least to catch the Winter Soldier off guard for a few seconds. The mapping of his plan made droplets of sweat form over his brow.
His heart raced as he realized that it was now or never- he’d spent so much time relieved to see him that he hadn’t yet thought about what he’d do afterward. It was wishful thinking to hope that he’d magically remember who he was after years and years of brainwashing. It was a grim realization he’d need to hurt his friend to help his friend.
So, with a heavy breath, he lunged over the bushes and toward the ghost, barely escaping a car that began to honk like crazy at the ridiculous costumed man.
The Winter Soldier didn’t hold back; his hand had been on the trigger of a gun this whole time. Alexei felt like an idiot for not noticing. He’d spent too much time happy to see the face of the great Coney Island hero that he had forgotten whom he was really facing.
A killer.
Alexei barely escaped the gunshots, using his shield to cover his upper body. A single bullet only grazed  his leg as he wrestled the gun out of his metal grip, the sound of clanking metal echoing through the late spring woods. He was strong.
The fight continued after Alexei had finally wrestled the gun out of his metal hand. Unlike last time, The Winter Soldier went for the throat, causing Alexei to drop his shield to the ground.
He gasped for air desperately as the metal arm clamped down harder, but Alexei was experienced enough now to know how to break out of his grasp. With a quick windup, he kicked the winter soldier in the chest with full force a few times, almost heading for the throat when he finally let go of Alexei.
“I remember you,” Alexei pleaded, his voice coarse. “I know you. We were friends. I want-“
The Winter Soldier had no time for dialogue. He cut off Alexei by planting a punch right in his jaw, fully following through with his metal fist.
His head whirled as he decided that talking it out would not work. The best option he had was to knock him out cold and hope that would “restart” him from being a killer. For now.
The Red Guardian was barely any match for him. The Winter Soldier had him pinned down to the ground as they wrestled through the rotting leaves and sticky mud.
Finally, after what felt like ages of The Winter Soldier beating his head into the ground, Alexei decided it was time to step it up. He grabbed his shoulders and pulled himself on top of him, trying to ignore the usually foreign feeling of lust in the heat of the fight. Whatever.
Alexei pinned his hands to the ground. “You are the Great Coney Island hero!” He said, hoping inside it’d trigger the memory and he wouldn’t have to put his life in danger to put him out. This would be much easier with a team behind him.
But he couldn’t trust a team that didn’t trust him; not even because he was communist- but because he was simply a dumbass. Not that he wasn’t one, he just did it better.
“I’ve been sent to kill you,” The Winter Soldier said, his voice muffled by his black mask that covered only half his face. His wild and unkempt hair flying around as he thrashed.
Alexei wasn’t weak- that was for sure. “You have- but the great Coney Island hero wasn’t.” He said. “And I’ll make sure you remember. Oxygen deprivation or blunt force trauma?”
Some sense of fear flashed in the Winter Soldier’s eyes just before Alexei flipped him over with two hands and brought his shield down right on the top of his head, effectively knocking him unconscious.
It felt wrong to turn on the radio after knocking someone out so brutally and stashing them away in the back of your car gagged and tied up and looking so… mistreated. Alexei felt a twinge of guilt for it, but he knew there was no other way.
Alexei debated bringing him to SHIELD and pulling him out of the car like a bunny in a top hat, but he wasn’t so sure now. They all still treated him like a child, an odd thing to do to a highly trained agent, but maybe if he had brought the famed serial killer back only two hours after the mission failed, they'd never call him dumb again..
But if he came back with the winter soldier only two weeks after the mission failed and had him fully healed and fully remembering his name among other important things, then he’d have their respect.
Sure, it was wrong to use his friend just as a pawn in his game for something as trivial as respect, but that might be just a fun bonus. He’d do it even if it was guaranteed they wouldn't ever give him any respect otherwise.
He hauled the unconscious body out of his car after making sure to close the garage, because he wasn’t going to make that mistake again. The Winter Soldier’s bound feet dragged across the wooden, newly mopped floors of his house and all the way to where he thought would be best to stash him away until he got back from school tomorrow, because apparently, yesterday wasn’t the last day.
He’d made a terrible realization when he’d looked at the puppy calendar on his fridge and realized that tomorrow was the last day.  Fuck.
“So-“ he spoke to the unconscious man- “I hope you don’t mind, but I have an engagement tomorrow at my place of work that you are not allowed to know, so you’ll be staying in the basement.”
Alexei threw him over his shoulders, opening the door to the basement under the rug in the kitchen and descended down the creaky steps into the mildew ridden most avoided corners of the house. He usually kept his old-life  related things down there, so maybe putting up his communist propaganda posters would make him feel at home when he inevitably wakes up.
He finished tying his chair to a wooden post, hoping he wasn’t strong enough to bring it down if he needed to; his insurance didn’t really cover that. Alexei wasn’t sure of what to do if he woke up unexpectedly sooner. Knocking him out again the same way he did last time might give him brain damage and just fuck him up more than he already was. He could shove melatonin tablets down his throat.
He’ll cross that bridge when he gets to it. If he ever did.
The next morning, Alexei checked the basement once more before he left, taking down all of his measures he used to barricade him in- chairs, his dresser, his oven (partially, because he gave up halfway on that), and the couch.
He was still sleeping. (A/N, if I wanted to give up on this fic I could just kill him right here and turn it into a tradgedy. That would be hilarious)
Alexei quickly crept down the stairs to check his pulse, still beating (thankfully), and ran back up the stairs, pushed as much furniture as he could over the entrance, and went way past the speed limit to school.
Very quickly he realized that the odds of this plan working were dangerously low. Every single thing that could go wrong had a very high probability of it, which only made him feel like more of a dumbass than usual. Maybe it would be better just to turn him in and act like he’d found him this morning.
Like that would blow over easily. That was entirely too suspicious.
When he showed up to school, he was greeted by the familiar worker, an unfamiliar grin on her lips as she sipped her morning coffee, watching him barrel into the meeting room. Pitiful decorations hung from the wall, and a single pizza sat in the middle of the table- nearly all of it was gone except for a few discarded toppings.
They told him not to go back and he went back and now he’s too deep in it! He’s got a body in his basement! A whole serial killer, any old intelligence agency’s wildest dream, a ghost story, in his basement!
“I told him to get three pizzas but he only got two and the English teacher sat there and ate a whole one before turning in a file and leaving. We cut the supreme into 16ths. Which, fine, only a snack, just a little treat for teaching the youth of tomorrow,” she rambled on, tearing up the pizza box over the trash can, a blank expression behind her glasses.
I’m going to lose my job, my friends, my house, every single bit of trust I’ve ever earned. My dreams are dead. I will have to move to Mexico.
“No, Rachel, it’s not at all weird to drink coffee while eating a whole pepperoni pizza at 7 in the morning. No one is judging you-”
Alexei grabbed a paper plate and began to fan himself egregiously with it, his palms becoming clammy as he struggled to keep his balance, barely making it to the water fountain right outside the door, hunching himself over it.
His face felt cold as he felt the boring eyes of his fellow teacher on his back. She wouldn’t leave him alone. She didn’t like him, did she? It was strange, she didn’t seem to give a fuck about anyone or anything, and quite frankly, was a little scary. So why would she constantly be the only one to talk to him?
“Ms.Taylor, I fear I may have to-” he said, turning back around to face her, his stomach going sour and instead turning back to the fountain, gulping down more water.
“Are you okay, Alexei?” She asked, following him back into the teacher’s lounge, placing her hand on his shoulder, causing him to yelp and practically leap away. The blinds rattled as he struggled to catch his balance against the window. “What’s wrong? You seem- sweaty.”
He could feel his heartbeat in his ears as he finally managed to stand up straight, still leaning on the blinds. Casually, he gazed outside, trying to seem like he was just… excited. He didn’t know what he was trying to pass himself off as, frankly- anything but scared worked fine for him.
The day seemed like a perfect spring day. “Just wanted to see the sun- I’ve been depressed and it is the only thing that makes me feel better. Like… my crush. Who is a man. So. Don’t touch me- I am fiercely loyal but I am friendly and I hope this doesn’t upset you too much.”
A good statement- and he almost would’ve gotten away with it too- if it weren’t for the fact he’d admitted something he didn’t know he needed too. Why would he say that? Was it true? Why wouldn’t he like her? What was going on with him?
She seemed shocked. “Are you…” she started, and Alexei braced for slurs or some other form of degradation at his confession, “russian?”
Alexei realized that he’d nervously slipped back into his Russian accent, which was perfectly thicker than usual. Well, no point in lying now. He was for sure losing everything good in his life after this and there was nothing anyone could do about it, so why not just give up? “Yes, I am Russian. Yes I used to be communist. I am not communist now. I like the American dream. My real name is-
.
.
Wait.”
He didn’t know what to address first. He looked at Taylor, then back outside, then back to Taylor. “You called me Alexei just now! Who are- did you- who do you work for?!”
Taylor’s face showed the most emotion than it had in the past few months of him working at the school. And she’d been a mole this entire time. “It’s not what you think, I swear. I’m with SHIELD- Oh my god.” Her gaze fixated on something behind Alexei, her shoulders tensing as he face paled even further.
“He’s here- I’m not seeing things, am I? I really thought I was going crazy-” Alexei said, looking back outside where  he’d previously thought he’d seen something familiar.
She nodded her head and they heard a scream from across the school. “He’s going to hurt someone- that can’t happen because of me. What have I done!” He exclaimed as they raced out of the lounge and toward where the sound of the scream had come from. Alexei was tripping over his feet. “I can’t believe you’ve been lying to me.”
“Sorry. Take it up with Director Carter,” she deadpanned, skidding to a stop when they saw an open window and an unconscious male teacher slumped against the lockers. “You find the winter soldier, I’m evacuating the school.”
It didn’t take long after Taylor pulled the fire alarm for Alexei to find him in the Principal's Office, his feet propped up on the desk under the early morning sunlight streaming in through the window, spliced by the blinds across his face.
His exposed eyes followed him as he paced in front of his desk, trying to read the situation. The Winter Soldier wasn’t killing him, actively, so that must be a plus? Then again, the principal of the school was sprawled out on the ground, unconscious, twitching, presumably from a tranquilizer. “Why spare him?”
The Winter Soldier didn’t answer, his eyes still cold.
“I’m sorry about the basement thing… You see, you used to know me before they-” before Alexei could finish his sentence, the man hurled a knife toward his head- he’d only barely ducked out of the way, the knife landing on the inspirational poster behind him. “You want to fight?”
Once again, the winter soldier didn’t answer- at least not with words. But instead, by jumping over the desk and pining Alexei up against the wall by his collar. He could hear his breath under his mask, deep and heavy. It was hard to see his eyes as the ones that he’d grown fond of.
He tried to shake it away as he kicked him down to the ground. The breath in his lungs hitched as he watched him crash against the desk, his legs sprawled apart. “You are not the Winter Soldier, you are the-”
In a heartbeat he was once again tackled to the ground, a metal fist plundering his face as he struggled to get out from underneath him. He was incredibly and impossibly beefy. His hands were no exception- although he didn’t quite appreciate it breaking his cheekbone.
“Coney Island Hero!” He finished, tumbling around the ground as the both struggled for dominance, breathless, shaking, and incredibly close. Too close- but luckily this time Alexei got the upper hand, picking him up and holding him upside down; making the Winter Soldier’s ass uncomfortably near his face.
But The Winter Soldier was relentless and they soon found themselves on the ground again, wincing when he landed on top of him. “I can prove I know you if you calm the fuck down and stop trying to kill me!” Alexei struggled to say from underneath the weight on his chest.
“Please remember! Vegas! Coney Island- Cheeseburg-” His efforts were met with a chokehold.
It must’ve been a miracle- because as soon as the world began to go black, The Winter Soldier started to thrash uncontrollably, it seemed, as beads of sweat trickled down his forehead as he tore off his mask, revealing his panting.
He dropped him to the ground and began to step back in shock as Alexei struggled to catch his breath, pulling a knee closer to his chest. “You, and me, we went to Vegas. You got shot right under your ribs… when ran from cops, we got cheeseburgers. You failed your mission and we teamed up.” He stuttered, not wasting this moment to fill his brainwashed head with things that had actually happened in an attempt to “cure” him.
“...Under my ribs?” He asked, patting around his torso.
“I helped… clean the wound…” he said, remembering how he looked shirtless under the light of the veterinary office. “They don’t care about you, my friend. I don’t know what else to say to make you believe but… you don’t have to… comply anymore. You have hope. You are… The Coney Island Hero.”
“One week. Prove to me that and I’ll forget my mission I was given to kill you.”
Alexei stood up, still weak from the lack of oxygen. “Don’t you wonder for yourself who you were before this?” He asked, rubbing his throat. He slowly walked toward his friend.
After a few seconds of staring blankly at the wall, he finally answered. “You have two weeks.”
PICKPOCKET
Tumblr media
Yelena x F!Reader Masterlist
Word Count: 3,884
Summary: A taxi, an interview, a drink, and then an attempted abduction.
Warnings: fluff, it gets dark for like two seconds, a family of pickpockets, whoop whoop that’s the sound of da police.
The bustling streets of Cleveland were no match for someone 10 minutes late to an interview. This was your fifth job lined up this week, and you tanked the other four. You had no luck when it came to these things, and no one wants to hire someone without experience.
You have two weeks to figure something out, or else your landlord is kicking you from your tiny studio. It’s above a Chinese restaurant, so the smell and heat alone are not worth what she’s charging in rent. You know you don’t have any other options.
You find the corner you told the taxi to meet you at, but it is nowhere to be seen. You wait, no so patiently, biting the remnants of fingernails you have left. Like you said, you have no luck. You see the car stop at the red light across the intersection, and hope this driver doesn’t mind speeding.
You walk to the curb, raising your arm to hail the cab down. A blonde woman walks up in front of you, throwing her arm up walking backwards to match your stance. You have no clue what she’s doing; this taxi belongs to you.
“Excuse me?” You say, nudging past her to reach the car door faster. Her reflexes outmatch yours by a mile, she opens the door, sliding in. “I just thought, we share yeah?”
You stand holding the door open, looking side to side in disbelief. She can’t be serious. “Listen lady, I have an interview I’m already late for, I can’t do this today.” You plead.
You lean down to see the woman talking to the driver through the plexiglass. There’s no time to argue anymore. You slide into the black leather seat, slamming the door. “Me first.” You roll your eyes, jutting out the address of your destination.
The driver peels away, you take a chance to relax. Practiced questions go through your mind. You can’t mess this job up, you options were exhausted. You wipe your eyes, trying to ease the throbbing stress behind them. You pull your fingers away to see them covered in black streaks. Your eyes widen, you forgot you’re wearing makeup.
You grab your purse from beside you, searching for your bedazzled compact mirror. All of the contents of your bag were strewn across your lap, it’s gone. You throw your head back, grunting through your teeth. “What’s wrong?” Your co-passenger asks. You look over to her, the reason evident on your face.
“My mascara.” You say defeated. You know you must look like a pouting child to the woman. Her dark eyes give you pity, and her bottom lip puffs out. “Oh sweetie. I’ll help you.” She pulls a complimentary taxi tissue from the box between you. Wrapping it around her finger she test swipes under your eye.
You’re frozen in place, she’s absolutely gorgeous. You were too fogged by anger to even get a good look at her. If it wasn’t for her telling accent, you’d know she was foreign based on looks. No one from around here looked like her.
She reached forward with her other hand gently holding onto your chin; when a bump cause her fingers to run across your lips. Her eyes are focused on yours, meticulously wiping away the black lacquer. She pulls her tissued hand away, you think she’s finished. “How do I thank you?” You attempt to smile, she’s still holding your chin.
“Not finished.” She drops the tissue and licks her thumb, your eyebrows raise as she wipes just under your lip. “Lipstick.” She says casually, opting to wipe her finger on her shirt sleeve and not the tissue. You release a breath you didn’t know you were holding. “Thank you.” You’re too embarrassed now to attempt a conversation.
“No need to thank me, I do it gladly for a pretty woman like you.” You laugh out loud, you were the runt of the litter compared to her. “You don’t have to say that.” You say, letting your hair fall in your face. How did you go from hating this woman for making you later; to wanting her to kiss you?
“That will be 12 dollars.” The driver breaks you out of the daze she put you in. You nod your head, fishing for your debit card. The blonde woman reaches past you, taping to pay on his card reader. “Go crush that interview, pretty woman.” She says, reaching past you again to open your door.
You’re speechless as she shoos you out of the cab. You turn to look at the office building behind you and the taxis already gone. You didn’t even get her name. You kick yourself as you walk into the building, the woman more present on your mind than the interview.
————————————————————————
That’s all it took, the woman’s face consuming your every thought. You didn’t overthink the questions the manager asked. You literally couldn’t, too preoccupied with the way the corners of her lips curled up. You smiled as you looked over your new work schedule. You knew you could do it, god, you’re so happy you could kiss that stranger in the back of the taxi.
You walk out of the building, eyes in a crescent shape, your smile touching each ear. “How did it go?” Your head jerks to the side and your smile instantly fades. What was once a meet cute is now an almost stalker situation. “What are you doing here?” You say, stopping in your tracks. No matter how attractive a person is, you always have your guard up.
She throws her hands up “Hey, no need to act that way. I just felt too invested to not know. So?” She says, not ashamed of her actions, fully expecting you to answer her. “I uh, I got the job.” You can’t help but to smile at your little victory.
“Sounds like we need to celebrate.” She says, pulling her phone from her pocket, searching for bars nearby. You find yourself raising your brows at the stranger yet again. “I’m sorry, but I don’t really hang out with strangers, who invaded my taxi.” You say, regretting turning her down.
She nods her head, stuffing her phone back into her pocket. “You know, I just thought you owe me.” She steps closer to you, entering your personal space. “You won’t get a drink with me but you’ll let me pay your fair?” You look up to meet her eyes, they have a deviance to them. “You did that before I had the chance.” You almost shy away from her, but then she’s telling you her name. “I’m Yelena, and you’re Y/N?”
“How do you know my name?” You say, anxiety coming back. “When he dropped me off, that’s what he called me.” She nods over to the taxi, idle on the curb. “So, can I buy you a drink for being a good girl and getting the job, or not?” Your cheeks blush, no one had ever called you a good girl before.
“One drink.” You say, trying to play off all the emotions flowing through you. “Yay, that’s what I like to see.” She says, grabbing your hand to pull you to the taxi. Her hand was warm, and strong, you don’t know if she saw it the way you did, but it had you gushing yet again.
“Three blocks down, take a right.” She says to the driver, undoubtedly happy to have so much business from you two. “I appreciate whatever interest you have in me, but what’s going on in your life that you can just minorly stalk a stranger?” You say, needing to know more about the mysterious woman.
She smiles at you, “I was bored.”. Hard to believe she had nothing better to do. “So you invaded my taxi for fun?” She shakes her head, “I came back, for fun.” She looks out the window and knocks on the glass “We’re here. Don’t wait up.”
You jump out of the car and wait on her to pay. What a gentleman you giggle to yourself. “Come with me.” She doesn’t reach for your hand this time. Instead she strides in front of you, swinging open the door to the little pub. “My mother works here, so free drinks.” She nods you in.
Can this day get any better you laugh to yourself. Now she grabs your hand and pulls you to the bar. “Mama, this is Y/N.” She yells over the drunk hum of the pub. Her mother looked too young to actually be her mother. They shared no resemblance at all. “Hello Y/N, I’m Melina.” She reaches out to shake your hand, but before she can, Yelena interrupts “Not her, Mama.” She says giver her mother a stern look.
Melina just blinks at her, giving you no indication on what she meant. She still reaches forward and shakes your hand, “It’s nice to meet one of Yelena’s friends.” She says.
“I wouldn’t go that far but.” You say, poking fun at you two being complete strangers. “We’re not friends.” Yelena says, clarifying that whatever this was, wasn’t friendly.
“Good to know.” You say, ordering a beer from her mom. Yelena sits on the stool beside you, speaking up when her mother walks away. “I didn’t mean it like that.”
You take a swig of the beer that was at in front of you. “I didn’t take it any certain way.”. Yelena just looks at you, picking up her beer. “I like you more than that.” She takes a sip, looking away from you. So she was interested.
“So, Yelena, what else do you do besides pester strangers?” You flirt with her, picking at your nails and avoiding eye contact.
She grabs your hand, running her thumb across the peeled skin. “I like meeting new people, it’s not a crime.” You nod your head, letting her play with your fingers. “I’m kind of in my family business.” She says, not letting on to any more information.
“And what would that be? You can’t bring me to your moms bar and act coy now.” She downs the rest of her beer, looking over at you as the last few drops fall from the glass. “You wanna see the family business?” She stands, waving over her mother.
You nod, jumping off your stool. “I’ll see you at home Mama.” “You girls be safe, don’t hurt anyone!” You laugh out loud, not knowing how serious she was being. She starts walking down the sidewalk with you in tow. “Where are we going?” You say, bumping into a man that split Yelena and you apart. You roll your eyes, looking ahead to see Yelena picking up a woman’s purse for her. How caring, you think.
She walks beside you, looping her arm in yours. “To my house.” She says, stopping to smell fresh flowers at a kiosk. “First I meet your mom, now you’re taking me home. What did I do to deserve this?” You laugh.
She makes a quick turn down an alley, dragging you along. “It’s only weird if you make it weird.” She makes a great point. “This is me.” She says, opening a metal back door. “Nat, I’m Home.” She yells out, slinging down her bag.
“You’re home early.” A red head comes hopping down the stairs. She was just as beautiful as Yelena. Too gorgeous to be from around here. “Who’s this?” She says, aiming her attention towards you.
“I’m Y/N.” You give her a small wave, sheepishly standing behind Yelena. She smiles, mumbling to Yelena about needing to pay the water bill. “I’ll get it as soon as I can, it’s been a slow day.”
“Not slow, you’ve been preoccupied.” Nat bites back. Yelena groans “Let’s do this later, please.” She begs, not wanting to to make her company suffer through sisters arguing.
Nat turns around, ascending the stairs. “I thought you meant your business was out of your home, it looks pretty normal in here.” You say still in the dark.
“It is.” She points to the 70 inch tv behind her. You take a better look around and notice brand new appliances in the dilapidated kitchen. There were holes in the couch cover, but a MacBook was sitting on the coffee table. Your eyebrows furrow, “Not to be rude, but it kind of seems like your priorities are out of line. If the water bill needs paid, why own a Mac?” You might have overstepped.
“I’m trying to jailbreak it, it’s not ours.” She says, understanding your confused position. “Oh.” You say, still not understanding.
Yelena walks to the living room, sitting on the couch. “Wanna watch something?” She says, scrolling through Netflix. You accompany her, squeezing in on the love seat. “Of course, i didn’t have plans or anything.” You say sarcastically. This beautiful stranger could keep you here for days and you wouldn’t even notice that time past.
“I got you something.” She says, finally picking a movie. “How is that even possible, we met less than two hours ago.” She hadn’t been out of your sight since the interview. She pulls a tiny gold chain bracelet from her pocket. “I can’t accept that.” You say, feeling instant guilt that she spent money on you.
“It’s nothing, really.” She says, clasping it around your wrist. “I found it.”. You ogle the shining gold, you’d never owned anything like this. “How do I thank you?” You say, turning towards her in your seat. “Don’t, it’s nothing.” She assures you.
You look at your wrist to admire your new bracelet and see the time staring back at you. “It’s getting late, I should probably go.” You say, gathering yourself to leave. “Right.” Yelena says sadly, not letting you see the way her eyes hardened.
You take out a ripped piece of an envelope from your purse and quickly jot down your phone number. You lean over the couch, holding the paper beside her face, due to her keeping her back to you. “Call me.” You say, waiting for her to take the paper. She turns to give you a tight lipped smile and gently snatches the paper from you, throwing it down on the coffee table.
You wonder what changed, one second she’s gushing over you, now she’s acting like you really are a stranger. Walking out of the back alley door, you close it without another word. That was weird, you think to yourself as you make your way towards the smell of home.
______________________________________
You smile as you walk up to a neon red dragon. A bell jingles when you enter, alerting Kevin that someone was here. “I’ll be right with you!” He has his back to you while on the phone, probably taking an order. “It’s just me Kev.” He turns around and gives you a smile, rolling his eyes pointing at the phone. You laugh, he always tells you about horrible customers.
The phone claps on the hook and he turns toward the counter. “You look like your day was worse than mine.” He says, packing a brown paper bag with white containers. You shake your head no. “It was just random. First this woman tries to steal my taxi,”. He raises an eyebrow at you. “Right! Dude I was so pissed. But something else happened that kind of made up for the bad start.” He places the packed bag under the heat lamps. “SPILL IT!” He says, wiping down the counter in front of you.
“I got the job!” You squeal, no one was in the restaurant or else you would’ve been scolded by Kevin’s dad. “Girl, I am so happy for you, now you can tell Mrs. Jones to suck it. You’re not going anywhere.” She was the restaurants landlord too. Kevin’s Dad had many problems with her in the past, but he always figured it out, he told you that you would figure it out too.
“Hopefully, just keep your fingers crossed that everything works out.” You say to him, a customer walks in and Kevin switches his attention. You phone dings and you pull it from your pocket.
Unknown: sorry about earlier, I wanna see you again.
You stare down at the screen, maybe she didn’t have a change of heart. Kevin walks back up to you, his apron gone and the kitchen lights off. Typing out a quick reply you stand from your stool. “Who you texting?” He says, curious.
“No one, just the woman from the taxi…” you say, hoping he doesn’t catch on. “And why would you be texting her?” He ushers you out of the store, locking up for the night.
“We might have gotten a drink after the interview. And I might have went back to her house.” You look at your feet, far too ashamed to face your friend.
“Okay, where do I even begin? Are you crazy?” Kevin says, grabbing your arm, stopping you from turning down the alley to your door. “Hear me out.” You laugh, trying to play off the severity of it.
Kevin crosses him arms, “Please, explain why you threw caution to the wind and went on a rendezvous with a possible murderer. I’m listening.”.
“First of all, she’s not a murderer. Secondly, she’s hot.” You say, finally making the short walk to your door. You unlock it and look behind you. Kevin shakes his head in disapproval, “Just, promise to be safer next time?” He asks, pressing a button on his key that makes a loud beeping sound. The headlights of his car flickered against the side of the building.
“Yeah, yeah, promises, promises. Get home safe.” You wave him off as you walk into your stairway entry. Climbing the stairs in the dark. You reach the top to see your front door cracked open, a light coming from inside.
You’re sure you locked both doors before you left. You slowly step into the small studio, you’re facing the open bathroom door when you enter. No one was in there, unless they’re hiding behind your clear shower curtain. You step out from behind the door to see someone sitting in your chair, facing the window.
Without thinking you shout out, “What are you doing in my house?”. If you could slap yourself right now, you would. You constantly say the wrong thing, and here you were being slightly too nice to an intruder. They turn the chair around and every hair on your body stands.
“Yelena?” You say, terror showing in your eyes. She just sits there. “How do you know where I live? Why are you here? Did you break into my house?” You take a step back, not wanting to believe it.
“I had to, you gave me no other choice. Running away like that earlier.” She ignores your other questions. You scoff, “I wasn’t running away. It got late, besides I don’t really have to explain myself to you.” Your hand reaches in your pocket, grasping your phone.
You know you should’ve called the police as soon as you seen the door open. But you just can’t help yourself. Yelena noticed your hand gripping something. “I think you might have mistaken my kindness.” She says. A chill runs down the back of your spine, “What? This?” You take the golden chain from your wrist, and throw it to her lap.
She wraps it around her fingers, smiling. “You should feel lucky, I don’t take every girl to meet my mom.” She says, standing up and walking towards you. You take another step before your back hits the wall. You look to your right, the dark stairs were your only exit. Before you could react she was slamming the door on your foot.
You scream out in pain and try to pry the door off your foot. Yelena steps closer to you now that you’re trapped. “You’re a psycho!” You yell in her face. Kevin was right, the woman from the taxi is a murderer.
“Why do you make things so hard for yourself, huh?” She caresses your cheek and you push her hand away. “See?” She tuts.
She opens the door and you jerk your foot free. You lung toward your kitchenette. A knife block sat at the edge of your counter. Maybe if you had a knife she’d leave. Before you could take a step she trips you, grabbing your arm and twisting it behind your back. She leads you to your bed.
You don’t fight back in fear of her breaking your arm. You know you can’t scream. Kevin was the last one out down stairs. The carpet store next door was closed because the owners were on vacation. You’re forced to sit down on the edge of it. She doesn’t let go of your arm and stands in front of you. “What do you want?”.
Tears start to form in your eyes. Yelena juts out her bottom lip and runs her hand over your hair, “Don’t cry baby girl, I don’t want to hurt you.” She coos.
You roll your eyes “then what?” You can’t play along for much longer before you really try to escape. “Natasha says I’m not good with rejection.” She says, inspecting the threads on your shirt.
You feel something in your heart, like it broke a little bit for her, how could she possibly think you rejected her. “I would never reject you, look at you.” You say, pleading for this to end. It almost hurt your feelings being in her presence reminded you how Neanderthal you were compared to her.
“Then why did you leave?” She says, acting like she has all the answers. “You left to go sit in an empty Chinese restaurant.” She says, looking at her feet, now not feeling so confident, she thought she wasn’t as important as fortune cookies and low mein.
“Kevin closes up alone every night, what kind of friend would I be if I let him do that? There’s safety in numbers, that is all, I promise. I would’ve stayed if it wasn’t for that.” You explain yourself to her, just like you said you didn’t have to do.
You find yourself feeling guilty, like this was all a misunderstanding. “I’m sorry I made you feel like I was running away from you.” You look up into her eyes, “let’s just forget all this, okay?” You say, desperately needing her to remove the pressure from your arm.
“I don’t think I can do that. What’s stopping you from turning me in for breaking and entering? What’s stopping you from pressing charges?” She says, thinking over her options.
The words spill from your mouth before you have a chance to stop them “Why would I call the cops on my girlfriend? That’s not very nice.” You say, playing along with her psycho antics. You force a smile, even though your arm was on fire.
Yelena searches your eyes for sincerity, she must have found some, since she releases you arm and massages your shoulder. “Sorry about that.” She says, sitting beside you on the bed.
You nod, rubbing your nervous hands on your knees. “Girlfriend huh?” Yelena teases. You look over to her, wondering if she’s serious. “Break into my house and subdue me huh?”.
