Israeli forces on Tuesday expanded their ground offensive into urban refugee camps in central Gaza after bombarding the crowded Palestinian communities and ordering residents to evacuate.[...]
Israel’s offensive is one of the most devastating military campaigns in recent history. [...]
Residents of central Gaza described shelling and airstrikes shaking the Nuseirat, Maghazi and Bureij camps. The built-up towns hold Palestinians driven from their homes in what is now Israel during the 1948 war, along with their descendants. “The bombing was very intense,” Radwan Abu Sheitta said by phone from Bureij. The Israeli military ordered residents to evacuate a belt of territory the width of central Gaza, urging them to move to nearby Deir al-Balah. The U.N. humanitarian office said the area ordered evacuated was home to nearly 90,000 people before the war and now shelters more than 61,000 displaced people, mostly from the north.
The military later said it was operating in Bureij and asserted that it had located a Hamas training camp.[...]
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Israel faces a “multi-arena war” on seven fronts — Gaza and the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Iran. “We have responded and acted already on six of these,” he told the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.[...]
More than 85% of Gaza’s 2.3 million people have been driven from their homes. U.N. officials say a quarter of the territory’s population is starving under Israel’s siege[...]
In an area Israel had declared a safe zone, a strike hit a home in Mawasi, a rural area in the southern province of Khan Younis. One woman was killed and at least eight were wounded, according to a cameraman working for The Associated Press at the nearby hospital. In response, Israel’s military said that it wouldn’t refrain from operating in safe zones, “if it identifies terrorist organization activity threatening the security of Israel.”

Art raffle for Hanaa's fundraiser
Hello everyone! I am holding a raffle for art commissions slots!
Tumblr media
The raffle is to raise money for @enghanalulu's fundraiser, linked below. It has stalled and is very low on funds - currently only 290€ have been raised.
Her fundraiser has been verified by 90-ghost here, and again here. She also has an instagram account where you can see her old posts from way before october 2023. It is so surreal and awful to see her normal ig stories laughing with friends and going to cafés, etc...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can of course also speak directly to her on here! Every little bit of help means a lot, I'm sure!
Here is a little bit of Hanaa's story. "Hello, I am Hanaa, a graphic designer from the southern Gaza Strip, Al-Bureij refugee camp. I work as a freelancer with agents from the Gulf and Europe to generate a simple source of income that helps and assists my working father who owns a small car workshop." Both Hanaa's office and her family's house have been destroyed in the bombings.
Here's how the raffle works: donate a minimum of 20€ to Hanaa's fundraiser and send me proof of the donation (a screenshot, which must be taken today or after today, until the raffle ends) on here, and I will enter you in the raffle for a halfbody commission (usually 35€). Every 20€ is one "ticket", so 40€ would be two entries so double chance to win, etc. You can also choose to donate 10€ if you want, and win a bust commission (usually 25€). So, if you do donate 20€ and win, you could choose between one half-body commission, or two busts. (I hope this makes sense... I tried working it out in my head but I'm sure when the winners are drawn we will be able to work it out!) The raffle will be going for two weeks, so until October 22nd, and I will randomize 3 winners.
Please share this post, so more people see it! <3 (and also please be a bit patient with me as in the past seven days i've moved to a new house and started a new job so it's quite a Lot but I want to help in any small way i can...)

This is extremely horrific…
A massacre took place in the Al Bureij refugee camp (17 September, 2024). Dozens of Palestinians lost their lives in Israeli airstrikes this morning.
Gaza’s civil defense stated that the bodies of most of the victims are still beneath the rubble of the bombed houses.
Israel must be abolished.

Byzantine Mosaic, Bureij refugee camp, Gaza Strip, Palestine,
5th to 7th centuries AD,
Salman al-Nabahin, a Palestinian farmer, unearthed the mosaic pavement, thought to date from the fifth to the seventh century AD, while working in his olive orchard in Bureij refugee camp, about half a mile from the border with Israel.
Trying to understand why some trees had not properly taken root, Nabahin said he and his son began digging. Then the son’s axe hit something hard and unfamiliar in appearance.
The Palestinian ministry of tourism and antiquities said the mosaic included several panels depicting animals and other features of social life during the Byzantine era, the continuation of the Roman empire in eastern provinces from the fifth century.
Gaza is rich in antiquities, having been an important trading spot for civilisations dating as far back as the ancient Egyptians and the Philistines depicted in the Bible, to the Roman empire and the Crusades from the 11th to the 13th centuries.
Several discoveries have been made in recent years. Due to a lack of funds and expertise, Gaza has usually invited international groups to help with the process of excavation and preservation.

Here is what one of the survivors told Al Jazeera:
“My family and I were sitting and all of a sudden we heard a huge explosive. Every thing was flying around us .We couldn’t see anything but dust and smoke. It was massive, the whole area is turned upside down.. all in a second.

[ 📹 Israeli occupation airstrikes targeted Khan Yunis, in the south of Gaza, leaving several casualties among paramedics and civil defense teams. The Palestinian Red Crescent says occupation forces continue to target ambulance and civil defense crews in the latest of Israel's crimes.]
🇮🇱⚔️🇵🇸 🚨 💥PARAMEDICS AND JOURNALISTS TARGETED ON 97TH DAY OF ISRAELI GENOCIDE💥
Israeli Occupation Forces ramped up their bombing and shelling of the Gaza Strip Thursday, killing dozens and targeting journalists and paramedics on the 97th day of the Israeli genocide of Palestinians.
In the south of the Gaza Strip, six Palestinian civilians were killed and many more wounded east of Khan Yunis, as a result of bombing raids by Israeli jets.
Also in the South of Gaza, occupation aircraft bombarded the home of the Bassam Abu Namous family on al-Samasma Street, west of Khan Yunis, killing seven civilians and wounding 25 others.
Occupation helicopters also fired sporadically into Khan Yunis, killing 19 over the previous day, due to Israeli bombardment.
IOF soldiers also continue to bomb and shell various residential homes in the Qaizan al-Najjar neighborhood in the south of Khan Yunis.
In Gaza City, IOF warplanes targeted the home of journalist Mohammed al-Thalathiini, killing the reporter and bringing the death toll among journalists in Israel's genocide to 112 since October 7th.
Israeli forces also targeted the al-Bureij, al-Maghazi, al-Nuseirat and the al-Mughraqa Camps area in central Gaza with heavy artillery fire and bombing raids.
In addition to these crimes, a Palestinian youth was seriously wounded as a result of targeting by an Israeli missile fired from a drone on al-Bahr Street in Rafah, southern Gaza.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the north of Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, the Abu Hatab family home was targeted by the Israeli occupation, killing six and wounding several others.
A multitude of wounded Palestinian civilians were also rushed to al-Shifa Medical Complex in the west of Gaza City, with three citizens killed from the Machi family, in the vicinity of the now defunct and destroyed Gaza International Airport that once existed in the enclave's capital.
In central Gaza, six Palestinians, including four from ambulance crews, were slaughtered when occupation jets targeted and bombed an ambulance on Salah al-Din Street, adjacent to the al-Maghazi Refugee Camp.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), the Israeli occupation "deliberately targets" its ambulance crews, even when coordinating with International partners, with the PRCS warning against the targeting of the few remaining medical centers in the area.
A Palestinian residential home was also targeted near the entrance to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the Deir al-Balah area, resulting in the deaths of 12 civilians including journalist Ahmed Badir.
While in central Gaza, in the al-Maghazi Refugee Camp area, at least 17 civilians were murdered in strikes by occupation munitions, while Israeli forces also heavily bombed and shelled the al-Bureij and Nuseirat Camp residential areas.
In addition, Wafaa al-Bass, a recently freed prisoner held by the occupation, was killed in her home in the north of the Gaza Strip.
Since the beginning of Israel's genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip began on October 7th, 2023, in excess of 23'357 Palestinians have been killed, with an additional 59'410 wounded in Israeli war crimes.

Slaughter of Children in Gaza on the first day of Eid
Tumblr media
Israeli forces killed at least 12 Palestinians, including children, in attacks on Rafah and Bureij refugee camp on June 16, the first day of Eid al Adha, in Palestine’s Gaza.
Many others were also injured in the attacks. Medical teams retrieved an unspecified number of dead and injured people, including an infant, as a result of an Israeli air strike on a house in Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, eyewitnesses said earlier in the day.
They added that medical and civil defence teams were working to search for more victims and injured people following the attack.
Israel's genocidal war on Gaza, now in its 253rd day, has killed at least 37,296 Palestinians, — the majority of them women, children and infants — and wounded 85,197, with more than 10,000 feared dead under debris and over 9,500 abducted by Israel.
