Okay but I'm liking the dynamic between these two. I think that ichika would be inspired by akito's passion for music (after she gets past his 'nice guy' persona) and ends up going to his shows for inspiration (and eventually, just to support him)

Akito in return respects her determination and drops his facade alot sooner than he normally would around her.

I they would end up practicing their vocals together after becoming closer and it incidentally starts to bleed into how ichika sings? like she starts belting a lot more and the others start noticing

Akito thinks her cacti are adorable and he brings them "gifts" (aka cacti care stuff)

An and toya teased akito RELENTESSLY abt ichika when he first started having Feelings (kohane just straight offered to set him up with ichika and he exploded)

do NOT ask ichika about what she likes about akito. never. she could go on for AGES about how kind he is or how amazing his voice is it will not stop and akito has to beg her to, red-faced

Akito accidentally flusters ichika by really blunt about his compliments to the point where he doesn't even necessarily view it as a compliment just an observation

Ichika makes him pancakes with cute little apples as a topping and Akito learns how to peel apples into cute little patterns for her

Emergency Commissions !

Hello everyone !

Meet Bacon! He's a maltipoo (maltese & toy poodle). Last week, he broke one of his legs because my dad accidentally dropped him. One of his legs are broken and one of the nails got stuck in his foot (I managed to get it out) but his paw is still bleeding because of it.

Vets are very expensive here and I'm doing my best providing my dog. I'm the only one in my family whose taking care of him, he's my responsibility !

So now I have to work hard to get his treatment !

Thank you for everyone for the past weeks that you've been commissioning me and giving me double the amount 😭 I'm really really greatful for all of you! With the commission money, I managed to get him groomed, but they told us to go to a doctor for his leg :(

Oh hey I bet someone here speaks Japanese. Solve a mystery for me?

A while ago I read an English translation of a short story, Morio Kita's The Empty Field. I found its Japanese title called Akichi, ISFDB gives it as "北杜夫? (trans. of 空地?)"

It had the most bonkers stylistic prose I have every read. Stuff like this:

long time youngman believes something not definite but certain things must be: -the sky

And I would LOVE to know whether and how this is reflected in the Japanese, but the story is obscure enough that I can't find any information about it.

If you can dig up the original and tell me what it's like I would be fascinated.

“Because this asshole is so much of a big schmuck that he decides to try some ancient demon spell t’ bring back a dime who doesn’t even know he exists..how are you NOT pissin’ your pants laughing.” Yusuke could have barely spoken the sentence out without eventually bursting back into laughter as tears began to fall across his cheek as his back leaned against the wall. It was just EXTREMELY funny to him.

As far as the story goes, this boy is nothing but the resident bullied kid who had a crush on the popular cheerleader. She was nice enough to have probably spoken to him so she could exploit him for his mind but unfortunately, the girl had met a tragic end and finally a demon preys on the boy’s desperate need to see this girl again that he attempted a ritual that would bring her back to life, now that very reanimated corpse was out on a rampage upon the middle school’s campus.

“OOH MAN…” Yusuke spoke drying his eyes before pounding his fist into his open palm. “I’ll do it.” Spoke the ex detective as he then steps forward. “I mean it’s not like you guys can get the ‘new’ spirit detective t’ handle my old gig. So I got no problem fillin’ in from time t’ time. Though, I wanna be done with this quick..do you have that gadget that lets me through walls?” At least that way he’d be able to spot her from afar, might save enough lives too. 

“You’re her creator..eventually she’ll come lookin’ for you.” He spoke towards the client, a 13 year student Akichi “That’s how it ALWAYS end in the movies. “Keep an eye on him will ya Botan?”
