Goofy little head cannons I came up with for the gang ( the entire gang)

• Whenever Jim is cooking or working on his Vespa or something, he’ll hum some kind of out-of-tune song

• Toby and Aaaarrrgh will build blanket and pillow forts and they’ll just chill up there

• Claire and NotEnrique probably make…Guacamole? It’s probably like a bonding exercise for them or something I don’t know

• Aja and Steve probably move to Akaridian 5 after ROTT and when they move there, Steve starts a fight club for those weird bugs (comment if you know what they are called 🤣)

• Krel visits the local library and rewire’s the computers and turns them into fucking FBI or Janus Order radios

• Douxie and Nemura will spend hours talking about music and other kinds of things like that I know they weren’t the best of friends but I feel like they would converse over this

• This was the one that inspired this post. Toby and Aaarrrgghh would do magic tricks for legally blind senior citizens 🤣

Ok so I watched rise of the titans and it was... An experience...

The things I loved/liked:

Children of the sun summoning the amulet sequence. It was pretty cool. But it's funny this is one of the things in this category since it was basically ripped straight out of the scene in 1x12. But I don't mind a little self plagiarism if it's satisfying

Toby actually being smart and having a part in the defeat of bellroc

Toby's last moments with Jim. Not to say I liked Toby dying that was fucking horrible but seeing Toby and Jim be close again was something that had been desperately absent for a few seasons. And the idea that Jim even after winning would sacrifice the entire world and take on the burden of going back into the past himself, just to save Toby is kinda sweet even if this movie didn't go in that direction. Cuz it just proves this boy would give up anything for his friends and that's one of his core qualities and why we all love him

The opening sequence on the subway. That was pretty excellent and raised the hype and allowed everyone an equal chance to shine

Aarrrgghh going batshit when Toby dies cuz mood

The taco truck with the little tune entering arcadia and all the government are like 'remove the barricades, let them through!!'

Jlaire was pretty cute in this movie, not the best it's ever been but y'know.

Douxie was pretty good throughout

The things I was ok/unsure about:

Ajas characterisation. I know a lot of people hated it in this movie but it wasn't the worst. She acted like a leader trying to protect two worlds of people, and that's entirely fair tbh. I didn't like how she doubted Jim but as she didn't know him that well especially as neither of them remember the events of d'aja vu it was kinda understandable. And I agreed that they did need a contingency evacuation plan

Krel. He was consistently good in this movie as usual but didn't get enough time to shine individually, same goes for blinky and aarrrgghh

Stricklake getting married was cute, however I didn't like how Barbara was used as a mouthpiece to mediate all of Jim's relationships with the older men in his life, i.e. when her and Jim talked it was either about strickler or James SR. and honestly that's just a disservice to Barbara's own character (and makes me realize that I doubt this movie passes the bechdel test)

The things I disliked:

Eli basically doing nothing all movie and being useless

Having Eli come back after a glow up for the sole purpose of having a moment where Steve is jealous and distrusting of his girlfriend. Actually no this can go in the hate category too ❤️

Jim saying 'i always wondered about dad' to his mom. The only reason this isn't in the hate category is bc it meant we actually spent time on the relationship between Jim and Barbara which is something that was sorely lacking in wizards tbh, and something that really made trollhunters shine. But what happened to 1x17's 'you know I don't care about my father'? Like what is this bfr

Toby being used as comic relief didn't bother me in this as much as in wizards cuz at least he got that important moment at the end but him saying 'moral support is the lamest superpower' what happened to the Toby that cherished supporting his friends and knew that his support was the greatest gift he could give to Jim and Claire just as their support was his greatest gift. Cuz that seemed like a key factor in earlier seasons imo. Also what happened to the Toby that started becoming confident in his abilities in earlier seasons of trollhunters?

The blatant Hollywood stereotyping. The kids kicking the football in Brazil and the fishermen in the South China sea, and then the bright neon lights of anywhere in east Asia at nighttime visual. It's not the worst but I'm tired tbh

The things that I absolutely fucking hated:

This shouldn't matter to me so much, but why when Jim went back into the past, did he wake up at 8.00 instead of 6.00? You could claim it was because it was cuz he was disoriented, but the time of his alarm should never have changed. If I remember that it said 6.00 on the alarm, and I haven't watched the first episode since probably 2018, the screenwriters should've too. It's just lazy. Or maybe it's symbolic of the fact that Jim only used to wake up at 6.00 to make his mom breakfast and all of them lunch, something which was a key part of his characterisation and clearly showed how much he cared for and loved the people around him - something which is very obviously no longer a part of his character since he allowed Steve to bully Eli and manipulated Toby into becoming the trollhunter. But idk. You choose

Nomura's characterisation?? First of all she just seemed ooc, like a stereotype version of herself for some reason. Secondly, her death. She died. In the sun. She's a changeling. The sloppiness of the writing team in keeping their facts straight is fucking astounding.

Stricklers death. Just for shock value and a play on emotions cuz it contributed nothing to the story. Same with nomuras. All it showed me is that the writing team were sitting around a table and someone goes 'you know we should kill off a few characters early on in the movie just to show this is a serious level threat'.

Pregnancy being used as a fucking joke. I wouldn't have necessarily minded the mpreg concept happening but the execution was just. Ugh. Steve being pregnant was treated as a joke and gross and just something to fill in time as comic relief, rather than what pregnancy actually is which is fucking hard work. It just seems like another extended misogyny-as-comic-relief trope again and Steve's character and everything was thrown down the drain

Toby Jim and Claire not having a group moment together. There was a scene somewhere in the movie where Claire was comforting Jim and I was wishing Toby was there too. If they're going to play the moral support joke with him at least have him be there when morals are at the lowest

Toby being stuck to the van. The treatment of his character in general throughout the last half of the franchise, he should've been given proper development as a character since trollhunters ended but fuck that I guess

Getting human Jim back was WASTED. Utterly wasted on this poor excuse for a movie. The peak of Jim's character arc was accepting himself in every form even when his humanity was stolen from him. The 'am I a hero without the amulet' in this and even the corruption storyline in wizards were both forced, particularly the former, as we'd already gone through that part of his arc in s2 (and it was one of the best arcs this franchise has produced frankly). It was really really apparent they couldn't think of anywhere to go with his character but still wanted to use him bc he remained the most popular. Fanfiction writers can and have done better. Fuck this movie

The lack of emotional maturity and depth between a lot of the characters honestly?? I really don't know how to explain this other than anytime this movie paused to have an emotional conversation or moment between two characters it seemed hollow and worthless because none of them were going through true important character arcs

I'm sure I have more things in this category but for now this is all I can think of. Might rb later with more if I can think of more things that really annoyed me :)) time to rewatch trollhunters s1 and remember how good this franchise used to be :))

So i rewatched the whole Tales of Arcadia

-Season 1, 2 and 3 are freaking perfect.

-Jim is a little gem <3 One of the best main characters ever. This boy deserves love and happinness.

-The characters' design are TOP TIER.

-Nomura is the best girl.

Adora notices a huge time magic signature in this far out galaxy

Because Jim only resets most of his galaxy cluster when he restarts time (this includes akaridion 5 and all other planets that they have contacted)

Adora, catra, entrapta, Bo and glimmer land on earth

They put on disguises and head into town where they ask around for where they can find space ship parts where they bump into krel asking about the exact same thing

Long story short they start bonding.

With both their ships repaired they decide to stay a little while longer because there is something about this little town draws them in, it gives glimmer a good feeling and where else are aja and krel supposed to go?

why i did not enjoy rise of the titans, personally

In writing, there's this idea that in order for a story to be meaningful, sacrifice needs to carry weight with it. This can be because of the lead-up making it hit harder. This can be because of the irreversability. But losses of any kind should be treated with dignity, with consideration, with pause where it can be afforded- and if not, pause should be taken later.

Tales of Arcadia traditionally does this either Really Well or just Well.

In Trollhunters:

-Draal sacrifices himself as a culmination of his arc of becoming Jim's friend, equal, protector, and confidante. It's incredibly well planned out. You can feel Gunmar's control looming over Draal's head when they're in Merlin's tomb, can feel the uncertainty of the moment, and Draal's death is simultaneously heart-wrenching and, for him, a release- a parallel to his father's death, accepting his fate and plunging in almost the exact same way.

-Vendel's death is shortly preceded by his clear acceptance of Jim as the Trollhunter and his determination to fight for him. It's a moment that makes it immensely obvious how much Vendel has been changed by Jim's genuinely good nature. And in death, he warns them and stands up for them one last time, making the moment even more bittersweet, as tinged as it is by the horror of Usurna.

-Angor Rot has the classic death-redemption, but he's not treated as weak. It's a genuine, earned, heroic moment. And the bitter sting of Morgana not going down with him turns the audience on her even more.

In 3Below:

-Krel connecting with Buster in Season 2 only for Buster to be ruthlessly felled by Morando adds a depth of hatred for him immensely effectively. It's a Kill the Dog moment done horribly, painfully right.

-The second loss of the parents cements Aja and Krel's sacrifice. The parents surviving would be a death for the sake of family, for the sake of Aja and Krel being able to cling to their childhoods another moment, even as they lay down their lives for everyone else. The parents dying is the more intelligent move monarchy-wise- preserving the heirs, and story-wise it forces both Aja and Krel to face the reality that they were never kids, but royals. That is the sacrifice they make- not dying, but living the way their planet needs them to.

In Wizards:

-They had us connecting to Douxie so hard in the span of like 9 episodes that all of us cried over Merlin for a second just because of how it affected Douxie. This is probably the best written death in the series, just because of the fact that the mourning is the most indirect and just as effective.

-Morgana sacrificing herself to stop the Green Knight after realizing she's irreparably damaged her own cause just. yeah

But in Rise of the Titans, the deaths feel rushed. Obligatory. Instead of cutting your soul they're just sucker-punching you. They're trying to force the stakes up, but they do so very poorly.

And worst of all, the ending takes away the significance of every sacrifice in the entire series. The writers threw in so many unnecessary stakes-raiser deaths that they couldn't fix their own timeline and had to go and try to ruin the weight of the trilogy.

And that's just not okay. That's mocking the emotional investment the audience put into the trilogy.

So anyway. What movie? There's not a Tales of Arcadia movie. It doesn't exist thanks.

So one of my moots dropped a general question about voice claims for OCs, and it got me thinking - who would voice all the characters I’ve created/designed this year for a hypothetical animated adaptation of Helena (main OC)’s, story? Here are my thoughts so far (in order):

-Lzzy Hale as Helena Gorton (main character - runs her own dental practice and plays in a metallic hardcore band in San Francisco)

-Cree Summer as Aja Harrison (Helena’s best friend, who is also a jazz trumpeter, dental assistant at a rival dental practice, and makes jewelry as a side hustle)

-Steven Yeun as Herman Liong (Helena’s dental assistant)

- Paul F. Tompkins as John Gorton (Helena’s fiancée and captain of a commercial fishing boat)

-Idris Elba as [krɔːliːʃ reʒiaɹ] (Helena’s dad and king of the isolated kingdom of bipedal merpeople from which Helena escaped)

-Tilda Swinton as [krɔːliːʃə ru:ʒɑɪə] (Helena’s mom and queen of the isolated kingdom of bipedal merpeople from which Helena escaped)

-Kaley Cuoco as Lina Gibson (Berkeley, CA-based fashion journalist and Aja’s friend)

-Elliot Page as Jim Dimbeaux (Aja’s coworker and friend who is an enby goth)

There are other characters in the story (and who have yet to be featured) who will eventually have designs, and I will make further voice claims as I design/introduce them. Out of context angst things... 👀

"We have to stop them," Aja breathed, her voice riddled with fear. "They're going to kill eachother."

"J-Jim!" Toby yelled, gripping Warhammer so tightly his knuckles turned white. "Jim stop!" He finally managed to move his legs and started sprinting down the hill towards them just as Douxie was thrown halfway across the field.

Jim had lost his sword, Excalibur embedded in the dirt a few yards away. He caught Douxie by the wrist as the wizard came at him with another spell and flipped him over his shoulder. He pressed his knee to Douxie’s chest, holding his wrist at a certain angle, kneeling on his other arm so he couldn't move. He had one of his glaives at Douxie’s throat.

"Jim!" Toby screamed. He was still running. "Jim stop, you're gonna kill him!"

But it was like Jim hadn't even heard him.

"You and I both know," Jim said lowly, breathing hard. "That you can't beat me. Why are you trying so hard to save her?"

Douxie glared at him, blood spilling down from the gash in his forehead, and from the corner of his mouth. "It's not about her, Jim." His eyes held a glassy look, and Jim realized with a punch of guilt to his gut that he probably gave Douxie a concussion. "It's about you."

"What- OOF!"

Toby tackled Jim off of Douxie and onto the ground, holding his best friend down by the shoulders. The others weren't far behind.

"What the hell is wrong with you!?" Claire demanded, helping Douxie sit up.

"What the fuck, Jim!" Toby screeched. "You could've killed him!"

More potential highlights of Jim using his Alien forms from the Omnitrix.

1. Claire and some of the other girls think Ditto is just the cutest .

"Aye que lindo"! says Claire😍

2. Wildmutt playing with Lug and having a doggy play date.

3. Krel excitedly examining Feedbacks charge plugs on his hands while Vex and Zadra nervously stands to the side. The only ones really aware how dangerous those digits could become.

4. Aja and Krel laughing when seeing Vex screaming and hide away from Jim's Pesky Dust form.

5. Grey Matter is used to get into the Darklands, but Blitzwolfer is used to navigate and map out the Darklands using his powerful nose.

6. Eye-Guy is pretty uncanny valley even to multi eye Trolls like Blinky.

7. "Saaaayyy Whaaaat"! exclaims Toby when he sees Way-Big.

8. Jim, as Ghostfreak, tries to possess Gunmar, but because of the Decimar blade and his overall will power.

9. The Trolls of Trollmarket love Upchuck for parties. He's a shoe in for winning eating and belching contests 😆

All of this.

It's no secret that Ditto is quite popular with his female classmates and girlfriend. Someone actually made a plushie for an online 'Cutest Toy' contest. Immediate First Place by a landslide. Congrats Jim, one of your aliens is a marketable plushie.

It ain't uncommon to see Lug get into shenanigans with Wildmutt. Aja thinks the whole thing is cute especially when she catches the two taking a nap. Lug deserves to play more.

There were a lot of precautions taken much to Aja and Vex's relief. Feedback's gauntlet has a setting that prevents the charge plugs on his hands from going off. Certain forms such as NRG have various gear or accommodations which makes interactions with other species much safer. Krel definitely got some inspiration for a few inventions thanks to Feedback.

They were laughing their asses upon the look of horror on Vex's face as Pesky Dust flew before them. Man was gone in seconds Looney Tunes style. Left behind a dust cloud shaped like him from how fast he hid behind the couch. It's gonna take awhile before Vex can even stand next to Pesky Dust for at least 10 minutes.

Yup! When it comes to the Darklands, any form that can help navigate is vital. Jim also unlocked two new aliens during his stay: Ball Weevil and Jury Rigg! The latter being used to get Enrique out of the Darklands. Ball Weevil help Jim escape from Gunmar once his cover got blown. Never underestimate the little guys.

Yup! Eye-Guy definitely got himself a mix of looks when he first appeared. Blinky definitely remembered the thousand eyes comment from Toby and might've thrown it back. It became a game in Trollmarket on who can catch this form off guard.

Toby would've fainted if they weren't in the middle of a warzone. His best friend just turned into an alien Kaiju! Toby definitely took pictures including one with the group on Jim's shoulder. (BTW, who came with Jim on the journey to find Azmuth was Toby, Blinky, Douxie, Archie, Claire and Draal.)

Jim definitely tried that mainly to keep the blade away from Draal. Harley manage to give enough willpower where Gunmar repelling his possession left the Gumm Gumm King stunned. A moment Kanijar took to get his son safely away. Pesky Dust helped Draal recover mentally from being under Gunmar's control.

You can bet Upchuck became a favorite. If a Troll can outbelch the Gourmand then it's a free meal on the house. As for eating, they definitely brought all kinds of stuff to see what Upchuck can munch.

The Ending Ruin everything About the Series,

it Seems the Writers didn't understand the Show, Characters and themes that were thought in the Show itself.

the Whole Joke with Steve and Aja is Probably because they would be if Steve got Pregnant. it was for the writers own amusement it felt like it came out for an American Pie or 18+ Adam Sendler Movie which in these Movies it would be Accepted.

The Ending Ruined everything Jim Doomed his best friend, we aren't going to get Jlaire in the Same way, and Blinky,Draal, and Strickler wouldn't have the Same Amazing Development and relationship that they have in The OG timeline.

Even Minor things Like Claire's relationship with NotErinque aren't going to happened.

Toby is a great character but the Whole thing with that he was the Sidekick turning hero, that he wasn't Special and he still a hero, his character development was thanks to Jim. he doesn't have the Same higher effect power that Jim had, so i don't think he is very much fitting the Role.

I don't know why, but you know what series I've been thinking about lately? Tales of Arcadia. Like I was never super into it, but I enjoyed Trollhunters. Yet everything that came after it dipped in quality. 3Below and Wizards both had their enjoyment but was also full of problems, especially Wizards given how rushed and cluttered the show was. It definitely needed to do what 3Below did in which we saw Douxie misadventures before/during the events of Trollhunters and 3Below.

But if that wasn't bad enough, the way this trilogy ended was not awful! Not only did Rise of the Titans have several awful moments (seriously, what the heck was with that joke of Steve becoming pregnant due to kissing Aja) but the ending completely erases everything that the trilogy has done over the last few years. And I still don't understand it why Jim would let Tobey become the Trollhunter?

Aja is Toby’s sister AU

Okay, this is something I came up with a while ago, and I wanted to share it with other people, so I created this account JUST TO DO SO.

So, the story (oh, and sorry if my english is bad, it’s not my 1st language):

- Morando managed to conquer Akiridion-5 10 years before the events of the series.

- Zadra escaped to Earth with Aja on a ship, but Krel stayed in Akiridion-5 and was "adopted" by Morando, being created by him to become his evil prince.

- The ship (so small that only Zadra and Aja fit in it) crashes in Arcadia’s Woods. Nana Domzaslki (not legally blind at the time) finds it. Zadra tells her the truth about what happened before she dies (R.I.P., Zadra).

- Nana ALREADY KNEW about extraterrestrials, because she had contact with them during World War I. She was injured on a mission and received a blood transfusion from an extraterrestrial friend of hers, and that's why she managed to live for so long (let’s all agree she’s just TOO YOUNG to have fought in WWI)

- Nana adopts Aja, who becomes Toby’s little sister. In fact, just like she called Krel "little brother", she calls Toby "big brother". Sometimes she calls herself "Toby's aunt" (since she was adopted by his grandmother) just to annoy him.

- This version of “Mother" is a portable device, instead of a house-shaped spaceship.

- Jim, Toby and Aja besties.

- Trans! Jim because why not?

- Bounty hunters tried to capture Aja when she was a young kid, but she was saved by Nana and Stuart (yes, he was already in the children’s life at the time, because he wouldn’t miss the chance to meet and protect a Tarron-on-the-run). That’s how Jim and Toby found out the truth about her.

- When Jim finds the Amulet of Daylight, he asks Aja if that’s akiridion tech, which she denies, although she had a feeling she already knew what that object was. 

- When Blinky and AAARRRGGHH!!! break into Jim’s house, Aja remembers hearing the stories of the "legendary Trollhunter" and steals Blinky's glory by telling Jim almost everything Blinky originally tells him.

- Vendel acted weirdly with Aja so she wouldn't find out about Gaylen's Core, since it was supposed to be a secret. He leaves her a letter so, in case he died before he managed to tell her, she’d still find the Core.

- Staja happens normally - although Aja hated Steve at first because he was a bully and used to mess up with her brother and her best friend.

- Claire, at first, thought that Aja and Jim were dating, and this led to many confusing moments and embarrassing situations, but in the end everything was resolved, Jlaire is still the best couple ever and the two girls are great friends.

- After the Eternal Night battle, 3Below's storyline takes place with a few minor changes. But Jim, Claire and the trolls still leave Arcadia.

- Morando sends Krel to Earth, and after many and many battles and dramatic brother-sister moments, he returns to the good side.

- The Tarron siblings find out about Gaylen's Core and also discover that their parents' Cores are safe somewhere in the Galaxy. They search for them and are able to reunite with their parents, but in the end Fialkov and Coranda still sacrifice themselves to defeat the god Morando.

- Aja and Krel have plans to return to Akiridion-5, but something happens (aka Wizards) and they go to the past along with the rest of the gang.

- Merlin still dies because ✨drama✨

- Jim doesn't go back to being human (I love Troll! Jim, sorry)

- ROTT happens, but no one dies and everyone is fine and doing therapy as it should have been originally 💆‍♂️

✨Political issues✨ yep. In the very first episode, General Morando (the bad guy) overthrows the king and queen of Akiridion-5. Aja and Krel are the king- and queen-in-waiting so they flee to Earth.

They adopt the transductions shown in the photo above (human disguises) and yeah like you said they made human friends :3

Comparing Douxie to Luka… not entirely inaccurate lol. They both play the guitar and are associated with the color blue and have cool dyed blue hair. Though I get the feeling Luka isn’t an immortal wizard (or is he? We will never know /silly)

Douxie is the main character of Wizards! :D

“Probably has Seen Some Things” yeah. Lol. As previously stated, he’s an immortal wizard. He’s been alive since the 12th century (that’s the 1100’s)

Let’s see… my favorite aspects and plotlines?

Oh!!!! There’s many things I like!! I shall call this the “Random details I like about Tales of Arcadia” lol

The Akiridion’s designs. Oh my goodness I love them. I keep rewatching the episodes and getting caught up on how beautiful they are

I mean just look!!!

I!!! Ran out of image room!!!! On this post!!!!! But!!!! I am obsessed with their entire design. The blue. The glow. The arms!! They have four arms!!!! Their eyes!! I love how the black of their scleras contrasts with the light, glowing blue of their faces!!!!

Aja and Krel only have four arms because they’re royalty (a fact I. Just never picked up on my own lol. I saw it pointed out in a post somewhere and was like “Huh. Yeah”)

ALSO LOOK AT HOW SMOL KREL IS IN COMPARISON TO HIS FATHER. HE’S TINY (but Akiridions are already taller than people so my goodness his dad is tall)

Favorite plotlines… let’s see…

Maybe when Jim was trapped in the Darklands in Trollhunters. I need to write a fic about that. He spent three weeks in there

The entire Unbecoming plotline (another Trollhunters one. Trollhunters has the strongest writing in the trilogy, no wonder I love it so much)

You probably don’t remember Unbecoming, but it’s probably the best episode in Trollhunters. It’s the episode where Jim realizes that amulet or not, he’s the Trollhunter

The animation. I love the animation all throughout this franchise

(Note: I always tag Tales of Arcadia as Trollhunters, but Tales of Arcadia is a franchise consisting of three shows and a movie, Trollhunters, 3Below, Wizards, and Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans. It’s just easier personally to tag it all as Trollhunters)

That's a good question!!! I actually have watched the first Trollhunters series (I liked it a lot!! It's been a while since I've seen it though) but I've never seen 3Below and onwards. Usually I just like seeing the pretty rendering in the art for it (lots of blue!!) but I don't know a lot about those series themselves. I think-- in 3Below at least-- there are blue alien/robot/magic guys? Who have befriended humans but need to work out some political issues with their help?? Like the trolls in Trollhunters?? And there's this kid who is your blorbo and his name is Douxie and he looks like Luka from Miraculous... I think he's politically/magically/narratively special somehow. Probably has Seen Some Things. And he has a little cat friend who you draw sometimes. Other than that I am completely out of the know but don't let that stop you I'd love to hear more about it!! What are your favorite aspects/plotlines of the series?

"The Kronisphere will make everything right," Nari had whispered gently, a soft smile on her lips.

Jim clutches the sphere tightly to his chest, neglecting the heat of the pavement scraping into his knees. Claire follows suit, dropping down to wrap an arm around him. He cries into her shoulder and she places her other hand on the ball with him. Slowly and quietly, the survivors huddle into a hug. They won, but they feel far from victorious.

"There has to be another way, there always have been," the Trollhunter chokes out. He stares at the magical object emanating a healthy green in his hands. It gleams with life, a stark contrast to the reality around him. But regardless, he's not going to give up. Not on Toby, not on the rest of his friends and family.

Suddenly a scene flashes, among the cracks that Aaarrrgghh had caused in his grief-stricken stupor. Claire brings a hand to her mouth.

"Wait a minute," Douxie starts, head tilting. A whispered "By Deya's Grace" escapes Blinky's lips. It's safe to say that the Akiridions, Stuart, Steve, and Eli are shocked as well.

It's them, with their hands on the ball, on top of each other's hands. Their eyes closed in momentary prayer.

And then, a miracle.

Several flurries of nature take place -- some circling around in columns, the others rushing to the debris around them. Edifices are rebuilt, while the trees uprooted find their footing back into the Earth. The roads are melded back to normal and Arcadia High stands tall in its glory. Jim's breath hitches when he sees a column of flowers spin around the silhouette of a familiar winged man with horns. He doesn't let the rest play out. He knows what they need to do.

"Everybody get up! If we're going to do this, we gotta do it together," he orders, disbelief and hope laced in his voice. He knows what he saw, and he's sure the others saw the same. He raises the Kronisphere in front of him and sees to it that everyone puts their best hand forward. A grin tugs at the corner of his lips as he watches the fire grow in the eyes of his friends.

The Kronisphere will make everything right.

And everything right it makes. They recreate the future in the Kronisphere with all the success one could ever hope for. The city of Arcadia is quickly restored to its homely self, as if a magma dripping titan hadn't just rampaged through. As if time had turned back before to reflect the location before disaster.

And maybe it's just a gut feeling, but Jim can tell that rest of the world has just experienced the same healing in its respective areas as Arcadia did.

It's a shame that the magical artifact shattered after usage, however. Must have been worthiness overload with all his friends involved, something along those lines. Or maybe the high demand they bargained. But honestly? He can't bring himself to care.

Instead he kicks the green, gold, and silver shards around across the road and looks back to check the earlier overturned vehicle which is now upright and... empty. Wait but-

"Hehe, that tickles!"

Jim turns around and as the white circulating flowers part, meets the eyes of his best friend, vibrant with life. With grimy hands, he rubs his own. He's alive. If this was a dream, he wouldn't mind sleeping for a bit longer. Maybe even forever.

Shaking, he glances at Claire. She gives him back a watery smile.

"Well? What are you waiting for?"

And that's enough to have him tackling the warhammer wielder to the ground.

"Jimbo! Hey, hey, it's alright I'm here. I'm alive," Toby laughs, patting the trollhunter's back. He shoots a thumbs up and a wink to a delighted Aaarrrgghh and Krel.

"And so are we," another voice rings out. Jim squeezes Toby once more before raising his head, the smile on his face ever increasing in size.

There stood Strickler, Nomura, Nari, even Archie and Charlemagne.

"I can't believe it actually worked," Aja remarks, taking a weak Steve from Eli's arms. Varvatos beams, and lets out a haughty laugh.

"Varvatos is most pleased with this outcome! However it came matters not to him."

"Well, it seems that the Kronisphere has the ability to not only show our futures, but reverse certain aspects of time, according to the beholder's desires. That is, if presented like it was to us. And in our case, we desired in union to reverse the deaths and destruction of the world, not necessarily an entire timeline," Douxie explains anyways. He beckons Archie and Nari into a much needed hug. He couldn't imagine a life without his familiar even if he tried. And Nari, oh Nari, she deserved to witness the joys of life she had heroically saved with all of them.

"Oooh, similar in manner to how Jim used the Kairosect to pause time!" Blinky adds, raising a finger. Claire snorts.

"Didn't you waste a turn back then, Blinky?" she teases. Blinky scratches the back of his head with a bashful smile.

"I was merely testing it out!"

"I dunno 'bout all of you, but I've had enough time travel change whatever for a lifetime," Steve groans.

"You can say that again," Stuart answers in agreement.

It's then Strickler kneels down and pats Jim's head. The trollhunter reaches out and pulls him into a crushing hug. The changeling hugs back with just as much strength.

"Young Atlas, how does it feel to not carry the burden alone anymore?" he muses. Jim chuckles.

"Feels good."

Can you tell us more about You're in the darklands now (the stranger things au)

OH I would love to! I just have the vague idea for the au itself, not a lot is written cause I’m trying to figure out how to include everyone and spin it so the fic isn’t literally just the same as the show.

Toby is the first to be taken, snatched off the side of the road as he’s riding his bike home after being at Jim’s house, through the country roads. His Nana was still at bingo that night so practically no one has any clue what happened to him.

He’s declared missing the next morning.

Jim doesn’t know what to do, he isn’t sure how this could have happened and is terrified Toby was kidnapped. His bike is found badly broken on the side of the road a few miles from his house by police.

Aja’s just freshly escaped from a research facility that has been holding her captive. Area 51B. She runs into Claire as she bursts from the tree-line near the road. Claire was on her way home from Darci’s house. They just sort of stare at one another until whatever had Aja running emerges through the woods behind her.

It doesn’t attack her though, it goes for Claire who screams and drops her bike, trying to make a run for it. As she trips and rolls onto her back to meet her fate does she realize the monster is frozen mid air.

The monster twitches, contorting in a way that isn’t feasibly possible and it’s sent flying into a tree, dead-for now.

Aja wipes at her nose and walks over, holding her hand out for Claire. She takes it slowly.

Aja’s spent most of her childhood in the facility so it makes it very hard to explain what happened to her and what that thing was. But Claire’s willing to help the girl who just saved her life in a bloody hospital gown on the side of the road.

They ride home on Claire’s bike and she sneaks Aja into her house. Jim eventually meets up with them through searching the woods, coming across each other and they form a shaky sort of alliance.

Aja said she recognized Toby’s photo in the newspaper. Except days later all their searching is in null because Toby appears, right at the steps of the police station. Completely fine.

Jim finds it hard to talk to him though, as he sits in the hospital room with him. Toby is so calm, it’s unnerving. Like he didn’t just disappear.

Toby is all smiles and jokes, he’s great, wonderful even or so he claims. They soon realize Toby can’t remember past events, things about his own life that are ridiculously important to him.

To find the real Toby they’ve got to enter the Darklands or at least that’s what Aja calls it. They enlist the help of Eli, the local conspirator theorist, Steve, his best friend and creep slaying partner, Douxie and Zoe, a duo that seem to know a lot more than they are letting on.

The portal looms before them as they get ready to step in and they have no idea what horrors they are going to find on the other side. If all of them are going to make it back in one piece, or as themselves at all.
