Jim being a “little” shit teasing Douxie cause he taller than him now.

He may be taller but Douxie’s still got several years on the buddy boy.

I traced the amulet for a completely separate project but then I thought it looked cool so I started messing around with it and now we’re here

Let’s generate some hype!

Coming in is another Troll Jim suggestion that I’ve chosen to break up into two parts

Suggested by @daydream358 comes an uncorrupted and younger-looking Beast Jim now aptly dubbed “Big Jim”

Here we have two outfit choices being some casual clothing for our bridge between the human and troll worlds

Some design choices I considered here:

1. Changing Jim’s shape, deciding to give him a larger upper body and longer and more slender legs to keep his lovable “skinny legs” look even as a half-troll

In terms of size comparison, he falls between the size of Blinky and Draal

2. Markings reminiscent of Blinky and Draal’s

3. Jim wearing a kilt and wraps that match Draal’s

Part two of this image is in the works depicting our large boy in a friendly spar with AAARRRGGHH!!!

Filsol the Stargazer

“The troll who stared at the Sun”

Adoptive father of Gunmar

Husband of Kára-Tak, goes by "Fil" for short.

The title "Stargazer" is from his field of profession, he is sorta like an astronomer and studies the star map.

Durable but fairly nimble build, he stands at about 8'5 ft at the highest part of his horns, shorter than his wife.

Has an armored and spiky back with a more softer and vulnerable underside. His forearms also possess the same protective armor that he uses to shield the soft underbelly if necessary.

Immersive and studious, Filsol is intelligent and calm, with a friendly demeanor. He can be sensitive and might take time to get used to things.

Some things about Filsol:

Fil has been able to see the Sun via special equipment (the same stuff Bodus' spectacles was made from).

He's about the same age as Kára, about 25 in human years.

Lives in Central Europe.

He helps groom his wife's mane, and often does so when laying in a "cuddle puddle" with her.

He's a bit jealous of Kára's fur, since he’s a troll that doesn't have hair (but he would never say or admit it out loud).

He's left handed. And like his wife, he has a small scar/dent on his side from a previous attempt to create a birthstone, but instead of having it on his left side like Kára, he has it on the right side, because it's the opposite side of his dominant hand.

His tail is quite heavy and drags on the ground most of the time.

Underside of the neck has small spikes and it can flare up a little, sorta like a bearded dragon's.

His design was inspired by many types of different reptiles, such as; bearded dragon, thorny devil, alligator snapping turtle, sulcata tortoise, crocodilia and the extinct borealopelta markmitchelli.

His skin is based off of citrine

Hey I'm a week early, yippie!

But this is just part 1 of my redesigns. I do plan on doing the other characters, but I'm going to need a break. (This is like 2-3 months of work and boy time sure flies by fast)

I'm still a bit unsure about the height chart, but this is the best I can do. Just gonna leave it like this for now until I decide to change it in the future.

Now for a closer look at the redesigns.

Here we got Jim and his mom + him in the Trollhunter armor and Troll Jim.

Claire and Toby.

Strickler and Nomura + their troll forms.

Draal. (This one is my favorite redesign because of the spikes)

Dictatious and Blinky. (What being the Darklands does to a mother ducker)

Angor Rot and Aaarrrgghhh!!! (Angor took awhile but I enjoyed redesigning him)

And finally, Bular and Gunmar. (These two took the longest and the most of my energy)

If you're paying close attention, a few of these redesigns are inspired by the concept art of the characters.

I Love ARRrGhhh Desgin tho

Following last week's post today is another of Blair Kitchen's work that were on his website that has become defunct since he passed away in January 2020.

The second winner of the poll was from the episode Claire and Present Danger, specifically the one involving Not!Enrique. There's some slight script differences in what Toby says right at the start and the confrontation with Fragwa. Interestingly in this version it's not a sock magazine! The cover he drew does in fact appear in the series elsewhere so keep an eye out for it!

Claire's parents seem to be temporary stand ins with Ophelia having pushed away from her film appearance.

There's a little bonus at the end too which is great for playing art style match. Only one more sequence left...
