Wheeljack is not having a good day at all after being lectured by the one and only Ultra Magnus

Wheeljack did something foolish again and now he is being told off like he is a child

Wheeljack just didn't seem to care as he walked away from the yelling from Ultra Magnus who was trying to get Wheeljack back

But he didn't seem to listen as he went to his berthroom to let off some cool as he locked himself in there to not get another lecture from Optimus's second commander

With you, you just came back from school with the others as you were picked up from Bumblebee with Raf

You were 18 years old about to graduate from school and that you were glad since you were such a introvert but you seemed to be comfortable around the others especially Wheeljack

Speaking of Wheeljack, you didn't seem to find him anywhere in the base

The base was huge but you couldn't see him, so you asked the only bot who was here before you arrived

Ultra Magnus groaned as he said that Wheeljack caused another ruckus and that he went to lecture him but he seemed to wonder off which appears to be his berthroom

So that's where you headed off too, wanting to see if Wheeljack was okay

So you knocked in a pattern to let him know it was you

The door quickly opened to reveal your guardian and lover

He slouched down to place his hand in front of you

You accepted his invitation as you gently stepped into his hand and he went to his berth

He placed you down on his chest as he laid down

"You okay Jacky?"

"What makes that guy think he can boss me around, it's like he's acting like a god damn parent to a child"

You wanted to make him feel better so you started to sit up

It seemed that Wheeljack was too busy complaining as you move closer to him

Your heart started to beat faster as you neared closer and then..

You kissed him for only a few seconds

Then backed away to meet his face that read shock

You then sat on his chassis as you started to blush, Wheeljack then came back to reality

He then sat up, now you were in his hand as you couldn't go anywhere as he lifted you up to his face as he smirked

This grumpy robot can't even get a break seeming that he is a medic that can only help heal the others

He also didn't like the noise the children love to make especially Miko who keeps playing her guitar

He seemed like he was about to break

Until there was a honking noise coming into the base, Bumblebee seemed to have picked you up from the hospital

You stepped out as everyone greeted you except Ratchet

Ratchet was so concentrated with his studies that laid before his optics

Seeming he was too busy to greet you, so you let it slide for a bit

But it went for a while until the end of the day where everyone was resting even the kids who wanted to have a little sleepover

They were sleeping on the couch while the other robots were the rest

But Ratchet was still up since he doesn't really get any rest

You also, you had insomnia and that you were introvert that didn't like anything but to be alone

But everyone seemed to turn that around but right now you wanted to see if Ratchet was okay

You went up the stairs and then went where Ratchet was standing

"Ratchet?"

No response

"Ratchet? Are you okay, you haven't spoke in a while to me"

"I'm fine"

"You don't seem fine.."

You heard a sigh as he was now looking at you

He didn't want to take his anger out on you so he placed a hand out for you to stand on

Okay so I feel like he wouldn't have a good day because he's always treated like a little kids towards the others

And he didn't like how he's always treated like that

He loved how you didn't titled him as childish on how he acts towards the others

But he can be a little bit too much but he was still your lover

Even though you were quite the quiet type but he found you interesting to him as he tried everything to get you to talk to him now you were comfortable talking a lot to him

But today was the day to help him instead

Currently you were with the others on the couch while Jack and Miko were playing racing games on the small TV

Raf was doing some computing stuff

And you were quite bored out of you mind, checking your phone was an option but it didn't seem to interest you as much

He then took you to his berthroom then set you down on his chassis as he started to rant about his problems

Smokescreen seemed pretty upset so you wanted to try and help him the best way possible

So you thought of one thing that you sometimes rejected Smokescreen from since you were the nervous type to stuff it up but this time

You were sure going to do it this time

So you did it

You kissed him

He went silent as if you broke him

"Um.. Smokescreen? You okay bud-"

You knew Knockout wanted to leave by the face he was making so you swallowed a bit as you felt nervous so you told Starscream that Lord Megatron needs him

Starscream growled as he stomped his way out of the room, leaving you and Knockout alone

"What's wrong with him? He's more grumpy than usual"

Knockout took out a hand for you as you accepted

He lifted you up on the desk

"Nothing special, Just the original rants that want me to end my spark"

You slightly chuckled

"We perhaps should go to the laboratory before Screamer comes back"

You nodded as you crawled back into his hand, he started to walk to his Laboratory where all his gears and tools were as well as a desk and a table for experiments

He then set you on the desk gently

He still looked annoyed so you wanted to change that

Annoyed face didn't look good on him

So you asked if he could lift you up to his face

"Hey Knockout, Can I do something but I would have to be close to you"

He didn't say anything of it as he lifted you up to his face

"What do you need sweetspark?"

You took a deep breath as you leaned close to give him a kiss that lasted a few seconds then you backed away

You felt flustered at the action you just did and hope Knockout won't be mad

Okay this big guys can't even get a break from this civil war that has been going on between Autobots and Decepticons

So he's always the busy autobot leader that has to take care of business in his own hands, fighting his enemy Megatron

So right now Optimus and the other Autobots except Ratchet went on a mission

You were stuck in the base with Ratchet and the kids

You were sitting on the couch while Miko and Jack were playing video games

Raf was sitting near Ratchet, helping him with some stuff

You were bored, very bored

You could ask Jack or Miko if you could play but you didn't have the courage to ask them so you stood up and walked around

It wasn't anything too special until a voice came through

"Ratchet, we going to need a ground bridge" It sounded like Bulkhead

"It seems that an Autobot is down"

Ratchet said as he walked over to the lever to pull it down to activate the ground bridge

You hoped that it wasn't Optimus

Even though he's a big bot, he can still get hurt badly

You saw them walking through and you could see Bulkhead and Bumblebee helping Optimus

Looks like it was Optimus after all, this made you worried as you walked up

"What happened to Optimus?"

You asked worriedly hoping it was nothing too bad

"I'm fine, Little one"

Optimus tried to reassure you but you felt worried

"Optimus, Let me check you and then you should get some rest. It's quite late in the night" Ratchet spoke

You stayed by Optimus's side to make sure he was okay

Now you two were in his berthroom, you were quite the worried type

Always making sure if he was okay

"Little one I reassure you I'm okay, As Ratchet said I just need rest"

"Yeah, but you scared me"

"I'm sorry Sweetspark, I hope to make it up to you"

"There might be something but I have to get close to you though"

He raised an eyebrow, confused but obeyed

You were close enough so you went ahead and gave him a little kiss

Hello! I am SOO sorry that I have been cramping you with asks, so feel as free as you can be to push this one alll the way back, or deny it, I am not desperate at all. I just want to type this before I forget this. So after the Megatron with a daughter who was his opposite post, I, too, am in love with this opposite personality daughter series. Like just all of our favourite men as fathers of daughters with individual personalities of themselves but also more or less all resonated their fathers one way or another, or someone they knew! I LOVE IT! And I realized how this formed a perfect trilogy now.

So I am real curious. What if the three daughters exist in the same universe? And, may or may not interact? (would we need individual names for them all? Or Buddy 1 and 2 and 3 like Spider-Man: No Way Home and no one questions it?)

I've actually been thinking about continuing the 'daughter with different personality' thing. Maybe in the future you'll see more!

Originally the plan was to have all the Buddy's to be in the same universe, but I ended up scrapping the idea and decided to create separate universes for each one (unless the plot tells me otherwise :))

When I saw the Spiderman part my mind went to this.

In TFP Rats universe.

Buddy was just minding her own business cleaning and wiping down her father’s tools.

It’s a nice day on base.

There was low Decepticon activity for the past few days, the children were playing their games, Bulkhead and Smokescreen were trying to get Bumblebee and Arcee to play Lob with them, Ultra Magnus and Optimus were reviewing plans for something, and her father, Ratchet, was with Wheeljack looking at a new relic they found in the Artic.

“It’s not another scraplet trap, right?”--Raf

“Nope! Completely checked it with the scanner. We should be good now.”--Buddy

“We ‘should’ be good?”--Bulkhead

“There is always a percentage of things blowing up, I’m not counting that out.”--Buddy

Without warning, the relic whirled to life jumping and shaking onto the floor.

Everyone jumped and backed away from the whirling sound it made. Bright light came out of it as the shaking intensified. The noise was loud enough to get everyone to come to the main room.

The machine scanned the closest bot, Buddy, and opened a portal, shooting out tons of air.

The children nearly flew back, but thanks to Ultra Magnus and Optimus, they were caught before they flew off the ledge.

“Hey Ratchet! What’s it doing?!”--Bulkhead

“Oh, it’s putting on a rock concert. OBVIOUSLY, I DON’T KNOW!”--Ratchet

Machine whirls louder.

“Buddy! Hide behind the med slab!”--Wheeljack

Buddy already behind the slab, clutching onto dear life.

“With all due respect, WHAT DO YOU THINK I’M DOING?!”--Buddy

Meanwhile in megs dimension

Buddy calmly walking down the halls of the Nemesis with some data pads.

“Hmm… wonder why they need so many data pads…”--Buddy

Sudden portal pops up on the wall next to them.

“What in the—”--Buddy

Portal starts sucking her in.

“AHHH—”--Buddy

Portal sucks Buddy in leaving the discarded data pads sprawled in the middle of the hallway.

Buddy is resting her arm on the handrail while talking with Miko.

“How’s the playlist going?”--Miko

“Haven’t been working too much on it. Patrol has been up my tailpipe lately. Do you have any more recommendations?”--Buddy

A sudden portal opens.

“Umm, I don’t remember Ratchet opening up a groundbridge.”--Miko

Buddy grabbing a grenade from her subspace.

Buddy chucks a grenade at the portal.

Nothing happens to the portal.

The portal starts sucking them in.

Two figures pop out of the portal and slam into Ratchet’s daughter.

The portal closes.

The two figures groaned.

Op Buddy sits up rubbing her helm.

Meg Buddy sliding off the med slab and onto the floor on her back.

“Urgh… my aching helm…”—Megs Buddy

Rat Buddy gently massaging her helm before looking at the two strangers.

“Who are you?”—Rat Buddy

Op Buddy looks at the others.

Everyone is confused.

Come to find the relic would scan someone and find ‘alternatives’ of them. It could mean alternative of the bot or by their names.

To avoid confusion the Buddy’s are labeled.

Op’s Buddy would be known as Buddy 1.

Megs Buddy would be known as Buddy 3.

Buddy 3 shrinks back a bit at Arcee’s gaze nodding.

Buddy 1 made the Team guess who her father was, bets were on the table and ready to be thrown. Buddy 1 managed to get Buddy 3 to get in on the guessing part. Buddy 3 guaranteed that no one would guess her creator.

A part of her didn’t want them to know either.

“All right we are ready.”--Miko

“Wow so soon?”—Buddy 3

“Too soon if you asked me.”—Buddy 1

“We’ve narrowed down three bots for each. If we win, 1 needs to take me out dune bashing in her alt mode.”--Miko

“Miko!”--Bulkhead

“I can stand by that.”—Buddy 1

“And if you don’t guess right?”—Buddy 2

“You’ll have to tell us.”--Miko

“…”—Buddy 3

“Lets get started!”--Miko

After the confrontation a little more research is done on the machine.

Thanks to Buddy 3’s expert decoding skills, she was able to read the full effects of the machine as well as how to reverse it.

The good news was that the effects were reversable.

The bad news was that the machine needed time to recuperate before usage again.

The Buddy’s decided to kill time by hanging out with each other and the team in the meantime.

Aka shenanigan time.

1 tries to start a conversation with her alternate family especially with Prime.

She is curious to see if there are any differences between her father and her alternative father.

“You always did have a thing for the Halls, didn’t you?”—Buddy 1

“The Halls of Iacon was where I worked.”--Optimus

“You mean, where Orion worked.”—Buddy 1

“…Yes.”--Optimus

“Sorry, but I see Orion and Optimus as two separate bots sometimes.”—Buddy 1

3 tended to stay with 2 for the most part.

2 was a soft soul and was quiet for the most part.

2 did entertain 3 with the occasional story here and there.

Buddy 2 and 3 talking to each other near the med bay.

“What do you think they’re talking about?”--Smokescreen

“Beep boop bep bop boop. (Probably about medical stuff.)”--Bumblebee

“Yeah, probably.”--Smokescreen

“So, then Arcee raised her blasters at the wannabe Cybertronians and started blasting.”—Buddy 2

1 likes to place 2 and 3 on her shoulders.

1 being the tallest and bulkiest of the Buddy’s could support the weight, not that they did weigh anything to her.

The other two Buddy’s liked feeling tall.

3 really doesn’t want to leave her new friends behind.

But this pleasant experience was soon to be the spark to ignite the flame for peace between the two fractions again.

She was going to do everything she could to end this war with peace.

Maybe it was the six glasses of soju, maybe it was the atmosphere - the restaurant lit like a 90’s bar, the blue aquariums lining the walls full of colourful fish (a sight that made Alec miss his children - Max and Rafael would’ve adored them), the music playing through the speakers of the restaurant and the smell of hot sizzling meat - but Alec was feeling especially smitten today.

Or maybe it was the love of his life looking particularly sexy today, wearing a powder blue silk shirt with the top few buttons left undone, sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His hair was a little looser than usual, a few stray locks falling in front of his face. His eyeliner was sleek and sharp, and lips pursed in intense concentration as he flipped some shrimp on the grill.

Alec was just content to watch him for now, chin propped up on a palm, hearts in his eyes.

They had come out for Korean barbecue - him and Magnus, and Jace and Clary and Isabelle and Simon - because it was the weekend, and because Isabelle thought it’d be fun to go out on a ‘triple date’, and because Jace and Magnus had clashed on what kind of food they wanted and Korean barbecue ultimately met both their needs.

Alec could hear the chatter of conversation between the others, but his eyes were only on Magnus, who was now busy rolling a piece of shrimp and some pickled garlic in lettuce, which he then dipped in some chilli oil and held out to Alec.

“Say ahhh.”

Alec rolled his eyes but complied anyway, letting Magnus feed him. The taste of crisp lettuce hit him first, and then the chilli and the shrimp and everything else, the flavour while literally bursting into Alec’s mouth.

Magnus smiled, no doubt enjoying what he called Alec’s “foodgasm face”.

“Good?”

“Mmhmm,” Alec nodded, a hand coming up to cover his mouth as he chewed. Despite himself, he couldn’t help but smile a little.

Magnus feeding him had become something of a habit between them. It was a result of Alec’s long work days that blended into nights in an extra office Magnus had summoned up for him inside their apartment, plus Magnus’s persistent desire for himself and everyone around him to eat well, particularly a minimum of three meals a day minimum.

So, these days, when Alec tended to answer ‘you should eat something’ with some variation of ‘later’ more than three times in a row, Magnus would simply sigh and summon up a plate of food and a stool next to Alec’s chair. He’d feed Alec until the plate was left empty, sometimes with chopsticks, sometimes with a fork or spoon, sometimes with his fingers, carefully wiping away any excess left on Alec’s lips afterwards.

It was probably not something to get used to, and Alec might have to put a stop to it sooner or later, but screw him - he had a repressed childhood and loved being pampered.

Right now, Magnus was feeding him a second helping of a lettuce roll with shrimp, when someone cleared their throat from across the table.

“Are we going to get some, too, or are you just going to feed Alec everything?” Jace pouted.

Alec snorted, “I’m pretty sure you can assemble your own rolls, Jace.”

“Okay, one,” Jace protested, “you can assemble your own too, and two, I’d be doing it right now if Magnus hadn’t dumped all the cooked shrimp onto your plate.”

Alec looked down at his plate, and - yep, there was a heap of shrimp on there.

Magnus sighed, looking long-suffering. “I put on another batch for you guys, they’ll be cooked soon.”

“What if you’re too busy cooing over Alec and they burn?” Jace narrowed his eyes.

“I keep telling you I can grill-“ Isabelle butt in.

“Oh, it’s fine- I mean- Magnus has way more experience so-“ Clary interrupted, steering the evening clear of disaster. 

Isabelle sighed and leaned back in her chair. “When will the world appreciate my talent?”

“I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with any of this,” Simon muttered to no one in particular. The waitstaff had kindly procured pre-grilled vegetarian alternatives for him, which included grilled mushrooms, tofu and pineapple slices. 

Simon hadn’t touched the pineapples so far. Alec didn’t think he was planning on doing so either.

Magnus sighed, “I won’t let them burn. Also, you can have the first serving of brisket.”

Jace seemed satisfied with that offer, and busied himself with the glass noodles they had served as a side.

Magnus paused to flip the shrimp on the grill, and then turned his attention back to Alec, assembling another roll and holding it out for him.

Alec shook his head. “You should eat too, love.”

“You first, babygirl,” Magnus grinned.

Alec rolled his eyes again, but how could he ever refuse?

Ohhh man, I got another character ask for you. It's more of a two in one, what do you think about CyGate? Er, Cyclonus and Tailgate.

A TWOFER! Well, don't mind if I do:3 (and just the be clear, cygate is amazing and wonderful and i love them so so so much)

Let's do Cyclonus first.

First impression: edgy edgy mcedgy. I'll be honestly, a friend of mine showed me a picture of him and Tailgate together and I rolled my eyes because Cyclonus looked so edgy I couldn't deal with it.

Impression now: I'm so sorry Cyclonus, I should have realized like all the mtmte cast, you have so much more nuance and motive than what you look like. I love him. I love his entire motivation. I love his growth as a character.

Favorite moment: Cyclonus singing to and with Tailgate. Its such a solid foundation of his character and his relationship with Tailgate.

Idea for a story: I have a cygate+whirl fic of Whirl constantly barging into cygate's hab and slowly cygate just adapt until Whirl is fully moved in <3 (currently labeled in my docs as Stray Cat Whirl)

Unpopular opinion: once again don't think I have any:3 oops!

Favorite relationship: Romantically, Tailgate. Their development makes me feel so so many emotions. Plantocially or some mysterious other thing: its whirl. God i love how his feelings concern Whirl shift and change. One of my favorite storylines.

Favorite headcanon: Cyclonus loves music and has a selection of old instruments. He's really shitting at playing them but he loves them so so much:3

First impression: Baby, baby boy. Sweet little baby

Impression now: ;-----; he makes me rather sad? kind of hopeful? early mtmte tailgate makes me very sad and I think a lot about how he lies. As someone who used to be quite a liar for a multitude of personal reasons, it speaks to me in a very personal way.

Favorite moment: Tailgate's unfortunate tutelage of the Autobot history from Ultra Magnus. Also the tiny panel of him wanting to be a Decepticon. Very cute.

Idea for a story: ahhh i have a prompt for this but its with all a little minicons drinking night with Swerve, Rewind and Tailgate just chilling together. Minimus joins them. Shenanigans.

Unpopular opinion: mmm I've seen some people that just don't like Tailgate?? which is fine, to each there own, but I love him and find him one of the more compelling characters, at least where i am at now.

Favorite relationship: aha Cyclonus for sure, but that's cheating for the above section soooo Swerve:3 I love their friendship and i could read pages of it <3

Favorite headcanon: idk if I have a favorite one but I do love Tailgate's curiosity so I think that lends to him being a little hoarder of random trinkets and items. He treasures them.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

Oh no do I even have three fandoms oh no. John Segundus from JS&MN! He's the cinnamon roll he's the guy who asks inconvenient questions he's so polite he's a drenched kitten. I want to feed him soup (I don't care how much he wants beefsteaks he's getting soup) and listen to him ramble about magic. I think there's a lot of potential for exploring hidden depths (Ed) and how the events of canon have shaped him.

Leliana from Dragon Age: Origins! I love how she came to her faith in a roundabout and disastrous way, and how other members of the Chantry turned against her after she talks about her visions. And even after being constantly rejected and threatened by the people she loves, despite the personal danger she's in, she still just wants to help people in a world about to be overwhelmed by darkness. Ahhh I just love her. Also she (and Zevran, from the same game!) is one of the first characters I... read? experienced? saw featured in a piece of media I enjoyed? who is canonically bisexual and actually talks about her attraction to multiple genders. Redheaded lockpicking devout spymaster queen.

Kim Secretan from Will Darling Adventures! Honestly I could say, like, all the characters from WDA (Maisie ILU) but I'm focusing on Kim here because I feel like he goes through so much growth. He's a very different person at the end of the series, which is good because hoo boy he's kind of awful in a lot of ways at the beginning. It feels very earned, though. He acknowledges the ways he hurts people and chooses to do better, even though it's hard and he isn't sure he can do it. That's great I love that.

MAG 26 - and this concludes my hell of a hair dying session from 31st of July last year. Reason for this was my cousin was having her wedding party that day and I thought it would be a good opportunity to dye my hair again. I've never listened to anything while dying my hair but somehow I remembered "hey, I haven't listened to Magnus in a while". I got through 9 episodes.

It's interesting to see, that Sasha here is referred to as assistant archivist. All three of them are archival assistants again in MAG 40.

"Let’s just call it ‘a series of paranormal sightings’." - How anti-climactic.

"Martin is a great researcher," - Aw, thanks Sasha! "but his self-preservation instincts are not the strongest" - And yet he survived until the very end.

Ohhhh, I like the music track when Sasha describes Michael through the glass! I will never not point that out when it's played.

"I’ve never had any direct experience with the supernatural before" / "I’ve always considered myself a bit of a sceptic, and until recently I’d have said working at the Institute only made me more so" - Girl, you worked in Artifact Storage and you hated it! You said, the Institute got enough there to send any sceptic packing! WHAT?

Jon already having a conversation with Tim about Robert Smirke… We know, Sasha wasn't supposed to be replaced right there in S1… Was it Tim, who should have been victim of the Not!Them? How would that backstory have turned out… I mean, the podcast as it is now has Tim invested in Smirke because his brother got killed while urbexing in one of Smirke's old structures.

"and the way he said it made me think that it definitely was not his name" - Interesting to see that the old "You're not Michael/Helen" debate started even there with Sasha.

"it wanted to help" / "and told me that I had no idea what was really going on" - I think it's a super unsettling that the Distortion knew exactly what was going on.

"amused by my attempts to understand." - Understanding is not the job of the Eye, Sasha.

"It said it wanted to be friends." - Classic Distortion.

"what with Tim’s April Fools’ joke and everything" - I actually love, that even with the funny or fluffy bits TMA is so vague. It is perfect for the fandom to bloom! We get to make up Tim's pranks! We get to think of what could have happened in the time when Jon was in his coma. The scottish safehouse! Upton House!

When Jon says "I, uh… I don’t really know." he actually lost a bit of his fake deep poshness there and in the following conversation with Sasha. He sounds a bit more like the Jon we get to see when he's become a punching bag.

Ahhh, so much foreshadowing there at the end. Not wanting to quit, not being able to quit. Rather wanting to know, what's going on…

Back when I first listened it was a great statement to end my tiny TMA marathon on because it once again left me "Yeaaaah!!! Things are happening!!!".

Love that much more than martin, Jon interjects Sasha's statement with comments and it feels so much like a conversation, they have great chemistry

i really, really loved imbalance. i fully ran around the house when I got to the motes part, like several times. my whole family was around and i was not capable of explaining the emotions i was feeling at that moment LOVE that Taako and Davenport are just two different amazing fucking setups for fun things to explore more in fic??? Davenport's especially, because I am predictable. I have MANY THOUGHTS. 1. That being his regret HURTS SO MUCH. this crew loves each other SO MUCH and i love, love love that we get to see it. i left the end of TAZ Balance feeling a little like, after everything, they just sort of all split up, the trope where, yeah, found family is important, but really they have their own lives with their romantic partners or hobbies or whatever and that's more important. imbalance brought me a lot of closure because I feel, at the end of it, that it showed that they may have their own lives and romantic partners and hobbies, but just because the finale focused on those things doesn't mean they abandoned each other. They're still a HUGE part of each other's lives and that's... i really, really deeply appreciate that. It honestly makes me feel I can go back to the whole story with more peace; it makes the whole thing matter more to me. 2. "Back soon" OKAY COOL THANKS DAVENPORT COOL COOL COOL 3. but seriously, i have to wonder if exploring this possibility will actually bring Davenport closure, or if it will just hurt him. Because the thing is, ... i do feel like, if he listened in that moment, they could've gotten to the solution they eventually found a lot faster -- if they really prodded at Lucretia's idea, I think they would have figured it out. and they might... lose some things, in that. Would Taako meet Kravitz? Would Magnus meet Julia? would Merle ever have kids? I don't know. Maybe, maybe not? but i just feel like..... regret isn't really about a logical pros and cons list. Would his family being more grounded really measure up to the weight of ten years of suffering avoided? And if it did, is he going to return to the timeline where he, and the world, were lost for ten years, for the sake of making things a little better? It's ironic, maybe, because I adore time travel, but I usually read stories where once you go, you're stuck with the world you have. And as this has been set up, it's more like forcing Davenport to make a horrible choice between two worlds that each have their own benefits, and to be haunted by the ghost of another timeline either way. Or, if he’s trapped just viewing the alternate timeline, without being able to choose to live there, I don’t feel that is much better -- maybe it would allow him to see that there are things that would be lost in that timeline, too, and that would be enough, or maybe living it would let him put away the possibility, but I’m worried that it would just haunt him more.

(I do desperately want to write that fic now, though. the fic where he listens.  Maybe it’s less that Davenport from Imbalance is living this, and more like he’s watching an alternate timeline version of himself play this out -- watching a world where things went better and worse in different ways, and where he’s better and worse, in different ways, and then returning home.) All that said, holy shit Aabria is a good DM. the questions she asked them were just... so, so so SO much. Beautiful, and made me feel like i wanted to cry, and just -- ahhh, it's just that she really gave them exactly what was the... most gift, for them? The kindest thing she could have possibly given each of them. Also, Taako the ranger. whatever his other name was. fjsdklfjdslfdsjfdskl just. God. I'm just kind of imagining like, outsider POV fic, somehow???? like this fucking NEWBIE ADVENTURING PARTY needs a ranger and fucking taako shows up. oh my god. i feel like what i would want to do is the party having this ongoing bet about whether that is actually Taako, or merely a crazy fan, or merely, like, the wildest coincidence to ever coincidence? And one of the party members is TOTALLY convinced it's DEFINITELY not Taako c'mon oh my god what if taako takes down the glamour from wonderland to really sell the bit. i don't know if he would do that because that feels like a little much for him, but maybe if he could sell it as, like, horrible disfigurement??? like, add some makeup scars? Not glamour scars the glamour's a diff thing this is totally a new whole deal! AND ALSO. it does kind of suck that Aabria wasn't able to make much of a hit on these wildly OP boys, even with Taako fucking being basically a level 1 ranger off in the corner, but i appreciate it in terms of "they have literally a hundred years of experience" -- it makes a lot of sense that not much is going to faze them and it makes it easier for me to reconcile my headcanons of sort of where they're at, given all they've experienced. and it was still really entertaining, even though Magnus just like. fucking intimidates an actual god in like the first five minutes, fjdsklfdsjkl. honestly it's kind of on-brand because Griffin's always been a pretty chill DM i feel like; i feel like the boys have rarely faced something that massively outclasses them without a pretty good escape route built in (I realize as I type this that there's the Purple Worm and the Hunger and Wonderland, but like, they had a lot of hints there, so), and that's relaxing to listen to! You mostly draw Megatron with Crusade in his Cybertronian look but in your canons it was said that while carrying the spark Megs wore his Marauder look. Did Megatron changed bodies or is the Canon changed?

yes! haha so hmm let’s see. So far up until A Little Too Familiar I have tossed Crusade into my Crackship AU—because with the Cybertron’s future AU with a whole lot of my other sparklings, ones that have considered backstories, they wouldn’t exist because of Shamus and Envoy!—and yes in the Crack AU, Megan does sport his Marauder Upgrade.

I’m still 1000% open to keeping Crusade as like,,a cameo for the Crack AU but I will say I’m getting far too attached to their character to better NOT explore them more in a more intricate backstory kind of sense! Many of the asks I’ve answered previously about Crusade’s personality and future are still canon—with the exemption that Crusade has a far more present/loving relationship with their Carrier, who as a literal helicopter parent is near suffocating in his protectiveness and efforts to keep his sparkling away from the hands and influence of the Autobots, even if that means locking them away on the Nemesis far too much to be healthy, and lying straight to their face, and others, about their origins.

Since the TFN 2021 S4 kickoff script reading I’ve been leaning towards guess what—a whole other AU that continues RIGHT after that point, much like where the CF AU would—only certain rescission within the timeline have been changed leading to, in some relationships, a vastly different setting for a next generation! (No, I don’t think I’d create a whole ton of other sparklings in place, for example a planned Strika/Lugnut kiddo wouldn’t happen for obvious reasons, nor would Shmaus or Envoy exist!! Who would remain, THAT I will figure out later down the line.) So Megatron is not in his Marauder form, Optimus is named Magnus, Jazz is with team Prime/Ninja Corps, Sentinel is still a dick figures, Prowl is still dead and so forth.

What I have planned is sort of like where the Deceptions sport a retreat after their bust on Earth when attempting to take over the central line of techno organic energon. The Cons faced losses, high command was scrambled and still very much injured from their cruel, and unusual keeping within Trypticon, heavy sacrifices turned out to NOT reap greater rewards, and the troops are still starving—and starving, scared mecha are far more dangerous than angry ones.

Optimus is still coming to terms that he is due to lead Cybertron, under the title of Optimus Magnus as soon as he’s back, whether he likes it or not as the front lines are still very much on edge with the evermore increasingly violent rouge Con raids.

I made some commentary on the reading as a whole which was PHENOMENAL and I’m still riding the high that is the fanTASTIC work that was put into is, like god. There was a brief but hilarious moment from Rattletrap where he attempted to sell off a crudely photoshopped Megop photograph as dirt—a part of me thought it would be even MORE hilarious if said photo was actually, used and Op was left sputtering after a double take going like how did they find that. HOW.

My poor, poor fanfic loving heart got going on of course the What if the Enemies Were Fraternizing Throughout the Whole of The Show, Morals be Damned in Those Stolen Moments Because I Like YOU For Some Reason trope. Wow is me, be still my beating HEART. It did not stop—so I made another AU :D yayyyyy

Basically the creation of Crusade follows along in this timeline in that sense. They were a product of one too many lonely nights in some far off abandoned cave that never could quite seem to end with a civil conversation, let alone spark apprehension from the other when it came to going toe to toe of the battlefield for the sake of their Causes. A Comfort without Strings relationship, even if they did come to grow fond of each other, not that they’d ever admit it—a confession, in a sense, would only hurt both parties knowing that the two would never give up their motivations in the ‘impossible ‘case that said feelings were mutual.

From the looks of it, the Autobots did not once tend to the Deceptions during their stay at Trypticon. Megs still sported bare struts and tattered armor up to his escape—it would be believable that medics never once ran scans, let alone were ordered to get anywhere near the high command. With already being in such poor shape, battered, humiliated, starved, violated (those minicons?? homage to Trepan??? yikessssss) and sedated—it would be believable that Megatron wouldn’t pay notice to a small flutter in his spark amongst all the pain and anxiety, at least until he finally could gather his bearings under the lockdown of his temporary fortress stuck on Earth.

Megatron, knowing he was alone, now extremely vulnerable, heavily outnumbered and out favored by his remaining struggling troops, called upon his definitely not most favorite sub team to cower behind—the DJD, to meet his blaring distress beacon.

Tarn and his crew, with the help of the rest of high command’s signal dampeners, are able to as covertly as possible—minus the world sweeper size of the Peaceful Tyranny and the paralyzing droning on of the Empyrean Suite that Tarn just loves so dearly—made it off planet save for a few bumps and bruises from the small force of Team Prime. The High & Mighty Megatron was no where to be seen in the action. Probably off in a hurry to lick his wounds in retreat after getting his ass handed to him, many assumed, but Nickel knew better. Tarn knew better. Something was terribly wrong in order to resort to a ‘cowardly’ extraction and evasion mission.

You can see where I’m going w this—so anyways YES that is the general gist of where this AU kicks off!!! Megs and Op, particularly Megs, got unlucky on their last night together—eventually all leading to the introduction of the previously secretive back up weapon that was the DJD. Coming to the rescue of their Fearless, All Powerful, and Resilient Leader?? A strange, but instantly understandable measure to resort to once Megatron reveals himself as a carrying mech, the beholder of a true heir and a testament to the resilience that is the Deceptions though the terrible reign the Autobots have held against them through the eons.

I’ll go into why he keeps Crusade on a tight leash and Op out of the loop entirely for as long as he possibly could—and how the rest of Megaton’s troops behaved around this clearly, half blooded Con sparkling their leader doted on— later!

Needless to say, Crusade’s reputation from the moment they were born was tottering on a fine line between that of pitiable condolences for their leader, and that of true Decepticon pride knowing that the one to lead them to glory some day is none other than one of the Autobots’ very own descendants.

Hope that kinda better explains things! I like Meg’s Cybertronian design, it’s sleek, it’s sexy, it’s easier to draw, and since S4 gave us a fresher design to admire of Optimus, why not have the same for his other half!

I havent actually listened the last episode of the Magnus Archives yet cause like,, the show really helped me during a really tough spot mentally so the idea that not only is one of my favorite characters gonna die (though i think i already know who) but the shows gonna be over aswell??
