sometimes you wish you were dead. it sounds blunt and quite, dramatic, yes. but not really when you remember that reincarnation may or may not be a real thing.

we have all heard of the word "soulmates". the idea of soulmates has been present in various traditions for centuries. the "concept" suggests that there is a special connection between two individuals that goes beyond physical attraction and emotional compatibility.

it is believed that these two people are connected by an invisible thread or string that can never be broken, no matter the distance or time. this thread binds them together, and their souls recognize each other even before they meet.

it is said that when soulmates find each other, they experience a sense of completion and fulfillment that they cannot find elsewhere. love itself is a powerful force that can bring people together, even when they are from different worlds. when two individuals are soulmates, their love transcends time and space.

now, death is a natural part of life, and it is something that everyone will experience at some point. while death is often associated with sadness and loss, while some people believe that it can also be a time of reunion with loved ones or, finally being with someone they have loved for so long in another world.

for those who believe in reincarnation, death is not the end, but rather a new beginning. it is an opportunity for the soul to move on to a new life and continue its journey. for some, the idea of being reunited with their soulmate after death brings comfort and solace.

they believe that when they die, they will be able to join their lover/comfort character from another world and be much happier than they ever were in this world. this gives them hope and a reason to keep going, even when times are tough.

for some, some may think it is absurd to even think about death in this way. you really want to die/are waiting for your death just because you want to be happier with your comfort character? how.. weird.

the heart is a mysterious thing, and sometimes it leads us down paths that we never thought possible. loving someone from another world can be a lonely road to travel, but it can also be one filled with wonder and amazement. our hearts may ache for this person that we cannot touch or hold, but the love we feel for them can give us a sense of purpose.

the pain of loving someone who is not real can be overwhelming, it really can. the thought of never being able to hold them or feel their warmth can be unbearable.

but in times of sorrow, the comfort and solace you find in loving them can be the only thing that gets you through. it's easy to dismiss this kind of love as make-believe, but it's not.

the heart doesn't discriminate and doesn't see boundaries at all. even though they are not real, the love you feel for them is. it's a feeling that is deep and real and can bring joy to your life.

just how long have you been yearning to feel their touch, to know what their kisses feel like, to see them face to face? a long, long time. and you know that. how many times have you cried into your pillow, just because you love them so much and that they aren't real?

sometimes the pain in your heart can become unbearable. The emptiness and the loneliness can consume you entirely, leaving you with nothing but despair. it's in those moments that you start to wonder if death would be a better alternative.

you imagine that if you passed away, you could be reunited with your lover from another world, a place where love is eternal and pure. you know that in that world, you would find comfort and solace, and your heart would finally be at peace.

because even though you two are two worlds apart, the love you hold for each other goes beyond measure.

Summary: Gale is having a very good dream and takes it out on Tav.

Tav isn’t sure how it came to this.

Well, they know the steps that lead up to this, but Gale curled around their side, clutching onto them like his life depended on it, was not on their plans for the night.

The group was on their way to Baldur’s Gate, stopping by a small town on the way to eat and rest for a bit. They made it about ten steps before there was a sudden downpour, soaking the party as they dashed to the nearest inn.

There were just enough rooms for everybody as long as there were two people in a room, which nobody made a fuss about. Even though they would lose a day of travel, most were grateful for an extra day of rest.

After a few drinks and a warm meal, the party decides to retire for the night. Tav doesn’t care to stick around for the arguments on room arrangements, deciding instead to walk into a room and drop their armor and belongings. They’re far too tired to care who ends up in the room and simply wait for their temporary bedmate to arrive.

Not long later, Gale strolls into the room. “Ah, I thought I saw you in here.”

“Hm. You sure you didn’t beg the others to be the one in the bed with me?” Tav smirks, sitting down on the bed. Playful banter was common with them and their companions, even more so with Gale. The clever wizard always had some way to retort.

“Please. The others begged me to be the one with you tonight. Lae’zel claimed she could hear you snoring from across the camp.” Gale chuckles, pulling his armor off near the bed.

“Yeah, right,” Tav scoffs. “I’m pretty sure I heard some scuffling out there, I think you and Wyll were fighting each other to reach the door first.”

“No need to flatter yourself so much.” Gale teases, stretching. His shirt rides up just enough to show a bit of his stomach, and Tav is suddenly very overwhelmed with the thought of sleeping next to Gale.

“I mean, I have to. You don’t do it enough.” Resting their hand on their racing heart in a playful manner, Tav smirks.

The wizard chuckles, rolling his eyes. “I’m not sure you’re entirely deserving.”

Tav gasps, feigning offense. “You’re cruel. Perhaps you’ll spare me the cruelty when I ask you to allow me on the bed for the night?”

The bed creaks as Gale sits on it, sighing as his back hits the mattress. “I suppose. Wouldn’t do you good to sleep on the hard floor.”

The aches in Tav’s back flare up, seemingly agreeing with Gale’s statement. “Yeah. And I wouldn’t dare think of banishing you to the floor, with your creaky joints.”

“A- I do not have creaky joints!” Gale gasps, causing laughter to erupt from Tav.

“I can hear them from across the battlefield!”

“You’ll regret saying that the next time you need healing,” Gale huffs playfully, turning to face the wall. “See how your joints feel then.”

“I do kick in my sleep, by the way,” Tav adds, lying back on the bed.

A smile spreads across Gale’s face as he looks up at them. “And I talk in my sleep. We make a good pair, hmm?”

“We do. Goodnight, Gale.” Tav chuckles, settling under the sheets.

“Goodnight.”

So warm.

Tav sighs as they tighten their arms around him—half his weight presses on their body, a sense of calmness and safety growing inside Tav.

Wait, what?

As Tav starts to rouse, they realize what’s happening.

Gale is currently wrapped around their side, one leg slung over theirs. His face is pressed into their neck, his warm breath fanning their skin as he sleeps.

Oh Gods. What should I do?

Tav tries to shift out from under Gale, but he simply pulls them closer.

It’s just some cuddling. Maybe…

Battling any conflicting thoughts, Tav resigns themselves to stay under Gale. He probably needed this, he just wanted some comfort. Tav is happy to give that to him. They close their eyes, slipping back into the contentment of half-sleep.

What if this was normal?

The thought passes Tav’s mind, and they don’t have the energy to fight it. Fantasies of them with Gale in his tower fill their mind, filling them with a sense of ease.

During a particularly pleasant image of cooking dinner with Gale, Tav feels Gale shift against them. They stir from their sleepy state, making sure Gale hasn’t woken. There’s no telling how Gale might react to this situation, so it’s better if they’re not awake for it.

Gale seems to still be asleep, mumbling incoherently. Tav starts to close their eyes when Gale shifts again, his hard cock pressing against their leg.

Oh.

A small whimper escapes Gale as he grinds against their leg again.

Oh Gods.

Tav can’t let this keep happening. Gale would be so ashamed if he knew, they had to stop it.

“Gale.” They hiss into his ear. The wizard stays asleep, panting as he continues to press his length against their leg.

“Gale!” Tav shakes his shoulder, not caring to be gentle. Gale is dead asleep, simply gripping onto Tav’s shirt harder.

Gale is a deep sleeper, and Tav isn’t sure what to do. He continues to grind against their leg, whimpering and gasping into their ear.

Maybe… maybe Gale just needs some encouragement. They could help him get off and pretend they didn’t know this happened.

Tav’s heart hammers in their chest as they slowly run their nails down Gale’s back. “There you go.”

Gale whines, pressing his cock harder against their leg. An unmistakable need grows between Tav’s legs, and they try to ignore it. Shame courses through them at the thought of the whole situation.

They’re just helping him out, right? He’ll never know if he stays asleep.

Tav brings their hand up to gently scratch Gale’s scalp. He lets out a louder moan at that, moving faster against their leg.

“Tav- please-” Gale gasps and Tav freezes.

Is he awake?

Craning their neck to look at his face, they see his eyes are still closed. His eyes are flicking back and forth underneath his eyelids– he’s dreaming.

Tav’s breath slows as they realize Gale is just dreaming. They feel a strange sense of pride being the one Gale is dreaming about, the one Gale is getting so turned on by.

Gale gasps again, moving faster against Tav’s leg. They continue to scratch his scalp, murmuring into his ear.

“That’s it. Does that feel good?”

A whimper comes from Gale as his hips start to stutter.

“Come for me, Gale,” Tav whispers, growing more and more aroused by the second.

With that, Gale clutches onto Tav’s shirt, gasping against their neck as he comes. A warmth spreads on Tav’s leg, and they realize at some point his trousers slid down just enough for him to come on their pants.

Gale’s breathing calms and he slumps against Tav, clearly satisfied by his dream. Tav stays still for a moment, a bit shocked about what happened. Gale just humped their leg until he came– and he was unaware of it all.

After a bit, Tav shifts out from under Gale. He seemed to not care as much this time, nuzzling his face into the pillow where their head was as they walked to the washroom.

Tav glances down at their now-stained pants, stomach swirling with need. It takes mere moments for their fingers to bring them to climax, shuddering against the wall as the night replays in their head.

By the time Tav returns and changes into clean trousers, Gale has returned to his side of the bed and is mumbling incoherently. Tav slides in next to him, letting the sound of his rhythmic breaths lull them to sleep.

"One more, Papa?" Shoyo asked Usagi, pleading.

"I've told you two tonight, that's enough," Usagi murmured, patting the blankets over Shoyo's chest. "You must rest well if you are to be energetic tomorrow."

"Hiwako's already asleep," Leo said from where he sat on the edge of their daughter's bed, rubbing her back in slow circles. Hiwako was curled up under the blankets, her nose and ears poking out.

"Hiwako's still a baby," Shoyo complained. "I'm 8, I can stay up later. I want to hear another story, please?"

Leo stood, chuckling and leaning over Usagi's shoulder to press a kiss to his son's forehead. "What will we tell you tomorrow night, then?"

"Another story about your world," Shoyo said shyly. "When do we get to go back and see everybody again?"

"Soon," Usagi promised. "But first you need to sleep. It's late."

"Okay..." Shoyo sighed and turned onto his side, curling up more. "Night Papa, night Daddy."

"Goodnight, Shoyo," Usagi kissed his head and patted him gently, standing to head for the door.

"Night," Leo hummed, following after Usagi. He blew out the candle before shutting the door.

Usagi took his hand and pulled him across the main room of the house over to the hearth, settling beside it. Leo sat with him, resting his head on his shoulder and sighing.

"Are you tired?" Usagi murmured, looping an arm around his shoulders and tracing a finger along his cheek.

"Mmhm," Leo nodded. "Every day I feel more and more for Master Splinter."

Usagi chuckled and pressed a kiss to his head, making Leo lift his face to return it, nuzzling their noses together.

"You aren't tired?" Leo asked skeptically, cocking a brow ridge.

"I am," Usagi conceded, cupping his cheek. "But we hardly get to spend time alone together anymore."

Leo smiled slyly and wrapped his arms around Usagi's waist, pulling him down as he collapsed onto his side. Usagi grunted in disapproval but snuggled closer, resting his head on the arm Leo offered.

"Next time we visit my family, we can leave the kids with them for a day and do something together, just the two of us," Leo murmured, his thumb rubbing against the small of Usagi's back.

"That would be nice," Usagi sighed, nuzzling his head under Leo's chin. "We should go to bed as well."

"I could make some tea," Leo spoke in a whisper, touching kisses to Usagi's head, over his ears. "And we could lay in bed instead of on the floor."

"This is comfortable enough," Usagi smiled.

"Oh, is it now?" Leo chuckled, flexing the muscles in the arm Usagi laid on to jostle him. Usagi swatted at him playfully and Leo deflected the hit, catching his wrist and pulling him close into another kiss.

Usagi hummed pleasantly into it and gazed at Leo when they parted.

"Tea," He agreed. "Then we shall rest."

"I'll have to sit up."

"Ah. No tea, then."

"Usagi," Leo laughed softly, giving him another deep kiss. "Come on, Tsukki."

"Very well," Usagi said begrudgingly, sitting up.

Leo followed after him and began making tea while Usagi leaned against his shoulder, watching and occasionally reaching out to adjust or hold something for Leo.

Once the tea was made, they shuffled off to their room and settled in their bed, enjoying the guilty pleasure of it. It wasn't proper to drink tea in bed, but they certainly weren't trying to be.

"The kids are still asleep," Leo noted after they'd finished their tea and lay snuggled up beside each other. He lay on his plastron with his head resting on Usagi's chest. Usagi's arms were around him, one hand lazily tracing the scutes on his shell and the other stroking his head slowly.

"That's a good sign," Usagi sighed contentedly. "Maybe Hiwako will sleep through the whole night tonight."

"We can only hope," Leo chuckled, leaning into his touch, eyes drifting closed.

"Are you falling asleep, my dragon?" Usagi whispered teasingly as Leo's breathing began to soften.

"Mmnh," Leo attempted an answer, but an incoherent mumble was all that came out.

Usagi smiled lovingly and pressed a kiss to his head. He snuggled closer to Leo, knowing the turtle would eventually work his way to being curled around Usagi by morning.

Leo gave a sleepy sigh and nuzzled deeper into his chest. Usagi let his eyes drift closed as he continued tracing shapes in his scutes, and they both fell asleep, content in each other's arms.

🕷️ He was raised to be a Lolth-sworn Szarkai in Menzoberranzan for House Baenre. Once he matured, he was sent to the surface as a spy, but did a runner when he realised how much nicer it was on the surface (no female drow ordering him around), and became a gloomstalker ranger. His familiar is a spider named Janet. Personality-wise, he’s a bit like if you crossed Aragorn with Geralt of Rivia.

🕷️ He has a little bit of beef with Shadowheart when she makes the comment about Lae’zel’s people when they first meet (“more like the Gith have a problem with everybody else”), at which point he gets quite arsey with her (“Ah, well, then I should have a major problem with both of you, because I am a drow. Yet I freed you, and I’ve made a friend of this one. Make it make sense.”)

🕷️ He has good intentions but has a habit of saying the wrong things (or saying the right things, but saying them too harshly). He gets misread a lot, a good example being when Matthis asks him whether it’s true that Drow “steal children”, to which he leans down and asks “Do I frighten you?” - it looks threatening af but he’s just trying to be nice and sympathetic

🕷️ Aradin says “Put your claws away, under-elf.” Tam’lin socks him one, right in the mouth.

🕷️ Kagha tries to bootlick him (“A beloved child of Lolth!”) not knowing that he’s literally run away from Menzoberranzan and his duties, and he’s so offended by her brown-nosing and disgusted by her treatment of Arabella that he offers to assassinate her for Zevlor. But that’s not to say that he thinks Arabella is entirely innocent; when he meets her afterwards, he tells her off (as gently as he can)… and (purely out of distress bc Teela could have easily killed Arabella) snaps a little at her parents.

🕷️ He’d rather reason with / at least hear out a ‘monster’ than just kill them. Hence why he stands in front of the crossbow aimed at Sazza, gives Astarion the benefit of the doubt after the bite scene (even though he pitches a teeny weeny fit at first), tries to talk to the Owlbear, talks to the spiders in the goblin camp instead of instantly killing them, etc.

🕷️ Minthara scares the shit out of him, but as per the above statement, he’s willing to hear her out (he views the surface as neutral territory, where she has no power over him, and he can do what he likes), and also because he recognises her. Yes, she’s his cousin. Yes, she tries to get a bit Targaryen with it when he speaks to her. So he provokes her on purpose, and whilst holding her off, is shrieking repeatedly at Gale “MAKE HER SLEEP! MAKE HER SLEEP!”, to which Gale panics and spams the spell like “GOODNIGHT! GOODNIGHT GOODNIGHT! GOODNI-“

🕷️ Isn’t romancing anybody. But he viciously wants driderman. He sees Kar’niss for the first time and a fruity, pocket-sized party tiefling sets off fireworks in his brain. 🎉🕸️😍🕸️🎉 he’s touching his chicken about it.

🕷️ deeper than that, though, he wants to look after Kar’niss. Because Kar’niss seems like he’s suffered the fate that Tam’lin should have suffered. By all accounts, Tam’lin should be a drider, too. He’s not just attracted to Kar’niss; he has love for him.

Otto's pov

We make it back to home. The girl who I found trapped in her mind is layed down on a bed, and everybody goes to talk to her, even Eddie. I am by myself, and I decide I want to go on an adventure. In a normal day, from what Eddie tells me, it would be dark soon. But it is almost always dark here anyway, and I will be able to know my way. Especially if this really is like over there as it is over here.

I wear a white sweater, sweet Joyce gave it to me. I am still wearing Steve's pants and shirt, and my pinchy boots I remember having for forever. I have my red glasses and a lighter I found in the pants pocket, and that should be enough if anything goes poorly. I walk out the door.

I go down the same road I ran away down last time. Except instead of going to my old home, I decide to take some other looks. I go into some trees, I would like to say I recognize them but I don't ever remember exploring this part of town. Vines creep everywhere, but I just step right over them and ignore them. I look upwards, seeing the sky through the shriveling trees. In the far off, I can hear radio statics and people talking. I want to investigate that, but Eddie said to avoid anything "milytary", and this sounds like that. I keep walking forward.

"Ah!" I fall down onto the ground. I do not trip over vines, so this must be different. I turn around, and look at what is on the ground.

It is a pile of sticks, taken over by vines a long time ago. There are torn papers with color and blankets and toys all over the ground. I wrestle a wooden board from the vines, and try to read the fadey writing.

Eddie's pov

Otto pops up from behind the couch.

"Hello Pipsqueak!" I ruffle her hair.

"Ah, Otto, we meet again!" Hopper waves. Everyone else must still be in the other room.

"Say hi to Hopper," I nudge her. She waves reluctantly.

"Him and I go way back," Hopper explains. Otto nods.

"Eddie, what does the word 'biers' mean?" Otto rolls over onto the couch and fiddles with one of the pins on my (newly hand cleaned) vest.

"Byers? Well, that's Joyce, Will's, and Jonathan's last name," Hopper explains. "Why?"

"Nothing," Otto bounces up and down. "Just asking."

Robin and Steve, followed by Murray, walk out of the hall. They're all carrying armfuls of bedding and pillows.

"Everyone can grab from here, and find anywhere they want to sleep," Steve says.

"Tomorrow, we can take a trip to my warehouse, I have cots and sleeping bags there," Murray says as he drops the sheets and pillows on the floor. I sit up, and walk over to the pile. I root through it until I find some sheets I like, and drag them back over to the couch.

"If you wanna sleep there kid, I'd hang tight. I'm going to cook something up for dinner, so it might not be the quietest place to sleep," Murray walks into the kitchen.

"No worries, I go out like a rock." I turn to Otto. "I'm going to sleep, and odds are I won't wake up until tomorrow. Be good, eat some food that isn't Harrington's 15 dollar raw steak, and get good sleep. Goodnight Buggo." I ruffle Otto's hair, and turn over to fall asleep.

Otto's pov

"You want risotto?" Murray asks me. I don't have a know what reesotoh is, but I am hungry. I nod, and he plops a spoonful of something brown into my bowl. I take a handful of it, and gobble it up. It is very good.

"Uh, you want a spoon?" Hopper asks me. I shake my head, hands are better for eating. Everybody looks at me then looks at their own food as I continue eating with my hands.

"Just let her eat," Will takes a spoonful of his food. Everybody begins to gobble up their food too.

"So, Otto is it? How did you find this lovely lot?" Murray asks. I look upwards to him, and

Robin pushes a napkin towards me.

"Things that happened," I mumble through my last mouthful of food. I don't want to explain it, when Eddie wakes up he can. I grab my bowl, and get up. Like I saw people do when I came back earlier, I set it down by the sink. Using napkins and the sink, I clean my hands off. Now what to do. I want to go to sleep near Eddie because he is really all I know here, but I am not tired. Maybe I should figure out what the Castle is. And then I will grab the fresh white blanket, and go to sleep.

As for the Castle, I will start with Joyce. She seems like someone worthy of a Castle.

"Joyce?" I ask, tugging on her coat. She turns around.

"Yes sweetheart? What's up?" Her eyes are soft.

"What is Castle Byers?"

Her face rumples into confusion, but smooths out again after a moment.

"You know what? That is a question for my boy Will. You ask him when he's done eating, okay?" Joyce answers. I nod, and skip over into the living room to wait.

Will's pov

"Otto? My mom said you had a question for me?" I sit down next to her.

"Yes. What is Castle Byers?" Her eyes cut right through my memories. I look at her, trying to figure out how she knows what that is and why she's even asking.

"Castle Byers?" Mike walks over. "We should visit it sometime! It's been a while since I've been out there!"

"Um, haha, yeah! Good idea!" Will laughs. "How about you go help El clean up dinner, yeah?"

"Um, okay?" Mike looks at me oddly, and walks towards El.

"What that all was about?" Otto asks curiously.

"Want to take this conversation into a different room?" I stand up quickly, and motion to the hallway. Mom gives me an odd looks as I usher Otto into one of the bathrooms, and I smile weakly.

"I destroyed Castle Byers a year ago!" I whisper-shout. "I got in a fight with Mike, and I... I tore it down. With a baseball bat."

She stares at me blankly, sits on the floor, then opens her mouth to speak.

"Why fight. If you like?"

"It's... it's more complicated than that." I sit down next to her, and bury my head in my knees.

"I know complicated," Otto says, grabbing the lighter again. She flicks it , illuminating the room.

"I... I wanted to play DnD. It's one of my favorite things to do-"

"Dned?"

"D - N - D. It's a game. Anyways, I wanted to play it and nobody else did. Hardly Mike or Lucas or anyone wants to play it now it seems. And I tried to get them to play, but nobody wanted to. I got upset, because it seems now all either of them think about is their girlfriends. I stormed out, and Mike followed me, and hit me with-"

"He HIT you?" Otto asks angrily, beginning to stand up.

"No, no! Not like that. I mean what he said was unexpected."

"Well, what he say?"

"He... he said that it wasn't his fault I don't like girls, and it just took me by surprise. I ran off, and got mad, and broke Castle Byers."

"Yes... but what was it? I know a castle is a big huge rock house with lots of colors and riches-"

"It wasn't that kind of castle, it was just a little fort. Something I could hang out in, color, read, be to myself."

"A fort..." Otto nods ominously. She stands, nods at me, and walks out,

Zombie Apocalypse ft. Biko Sekai

CHAPTER 1:

Characters: Rookie, Rinne, Aysh, Suro, Rev, Toko, Nora, Yuki, Koe, Kaitou

It's been months ever since this absolute chaos occurred. The once perfectly clear sky, now grey and dull. Even though the apocalypse is quite recent, the gang adapted to the environment quite fast, still being bruised after errands but it's a learning opportunity, as long as none of them got bit, they'll survive for quite some time. 

"Ah-!" Aysh flinched at the sudden pressure on her wound. "Stop moving Aysh, I'm trying to clean this cut you have.." Suro muttered while holding Aysh's wrist, keeping her arm in place. Aysh just shook her head, hissing at the stinging pain of the ointment combined with her open wound. "You two are reckless.." Suro sighed then put away the ointment and cotton back to its proper place. "We got ganged up on by a ton of zombies, what else are we supposed to do?" Someone butted into the conversation. "Maybe not be so reckless to the point where you'd get injured because of a fucking debris" Everyone sighed when Suro kept on scolding them though not paying much attention. 

"I know you and Aysh are skilled with guns, but please, once you're back to running errands I want you to be a little more careful" 

"I'll keep that in mind then, Rinne- Ah- ow-!" The gal flinched at the sudden pain, trying to pull away from Rinne but was pulled back. "Stay still, Rookie, I'm not done yet." Rookie whined but just stayed still 'patiently' waiting for Rinne to finish cleaning up the wounds she has. 

It was quiet for a couple of minutes, no one daring to say anything— either felt too awkward or too tired; though the silence was cut off when they heard the door creaking open. "Are you four done bickering?" the director asks, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. She peeked her head out the door and smiled at the four of them. "Do you need something, Toko?" Rookie looked up, meeting Toko's eyes, Toko shook her head and fully opened the door. "Just wanted to let you guys know that Rev and I cooked, so you four better hurry the fuck up”

Toko then leaves the room, "Finally, food!" Aysh complains and takes Suros hand, "WAIT IM NOT DONE WITH YOUR INJU-" Suro was cut off by the door closing leaving Rinne and Rookie alone. "Well I guess we should just fix this mess.." Rinne says as she finishes with Rookie's injury, Rinne then fixes up the medkit and gives it to Rookie to put on the shelf. "Hah, Now that we've fixed up. Lets go Rinne!" Rookie takes Rinnes hand and goes to the other room. 

As Rookie opens the door, They see Toko and Rev talking about their next expedition as she also sees Suro hand feeding Aysh.

' God, how much of a baby could Aysh be.' Rookie thought while smiling awkwardly.. "Alright, so Toko, What's our plan to get materials?" Suro asks, noticing both Rookie and Rinne at the table. "Well. I've thought about it and now. I think the best decision is for you and Rinne to go. Me and Rev will defend our base. Does that sound good for tomorrow's expedition?" Toko says while making eye-contact with both Suro and Rinne, "But can't we help them?" Aysh asks "Well, it shows that YOU AND ROOKIE. Are a bit too hyper on the battlefield." Toko glared at Aysh

"Urgh.. Alright then." Aysh rolls her eyes. 

Everyone took their own plates and utensils and started to scoop up some food before sitting down on their chairs.

"Haah! I'm stuffed!" Rookie says while yawning with Rev silently giggling "Everyone had their food I assume?" He asked and everyone nodded. "Let's head to our rooms then" Rev suggested. "Alright! Goodnight everybody!" Aysh and Suro enter the room they share and go to sleep. 

Time skip .. 

"Hey Suro, you have the stuff ready?" Rinne asks while putting a bat in her backpack, "Mhm, I have" Suro assures Rinne while loading the bullets into his gun. "Alright, we're all set up. Bye Toko, Rev , and Aysh!' 'Rinne says, waving at them while heading for the door, "Alright bye Suro!" Aysh says and continues to kiss Suro ``REALLY? RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME?" Toko says disgusted, Aysh just stuck her tongue out at Toko and waved at the two heading off 

"Alright so, we have to get to the store right?" Rinne asks while walking "Mhm, Since we've already gone there, I have a map on how long and far it takes to go there." Suro says while looking for any zombies that are nearby. They both continue to walk, "Huh, is it me or I hear something loud?" Rinne asks while looking around. "But I don't see any-" A small group of zombies suddenly come forward into Rinne and Suros' view. "Or.. Yes you may be right Rinne.." 

"Alright! Time to clean you guys up" Rinne says while heading in with a bat but keeping a close distance, "I'll back you up, Rinne." 

In no time, Suro and Rinne defeated all of them. "Haah.. Finally..!" Rinne says while cooling down. "Fufu, you did excellent Ri-" 

(FUCK YOU!!)"PUTANGINA MO!!!!"

A scream was heard from the left,

"I DONT FUCKING CARE, KASALANAN MO TO KAITOU"

(THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT KAITOU)

A second person screams at the so-called 'Kaitou' person. Both Rinne and Suro come close, "Hello, Are you guys also survivors?"

"AAAAAAAAAA- '' Kaitou was cut off by the other person covering his mouth. "Uhm, Yeah! We are.." The person covering Kaitous mouth confirms the question. 

"Can't believe you two have the time to argue in such circumstances.." Rinne muttered while still keeping an eye on the surroundings. "If you don't mind me asking, '' Suro started, earning more of the two survivor's attention. "What are you two uhmm.. bickering.. about?" As soon as Suro asked, a boy scoffed, glaring at his 'friend' before answering. "We were being chased down by a few zombies so we tried to fight it, but that 'few' zombies instantly turned into dozens so I insisted that we should run and hide but this idiot-" He cut his sentence off to smack the back of his companion's head. 

("Ow- You bitch!") "Ow- Punyeta ka!" The other cussed, rubbing the back of his head, but the boy paid no attention and kept telling the story. "-wanting to be the hero, decided to run head on to the crowd of zombies, this bastard actually has a death wish." Suro and Rinne looked at each other then back at the duo then back at each other. It was silent for a couple of minutes before Rinne chimed in. "Do you two.. have anywhere to stay?" They shook their heads and Suro immediately looked at Rinne. "I- Let's talk somewhere" Rinne nervously laughed and grabbed Suro's arm. "You two stay there, run to us if you need anything" He said before dragging Suro away. 

"Is there a problem, Rinne?"

"Not really, I know you want to invite them to the shelter but.." Rinne trailed back. "I don't think Rookie and the others are going to be fond of them.." Suro cocked his head to the side. "What makes you think that?" Before Rinne can answer, Suro added. "Without sounding biased." The comment made Rinne a tad bit flustered but continues to explain anyways. "For starters, the noise or ‘bickering’, whatever you call it. It will attract a handful of zombies if not more, and if we take them to the shelter, considering it isn't all that big... knowing some of our members are a bit sensitive when it comes to loud noises" Rinne explained, his voice getting quieter and quieter the more he proceeds. 

"You have a point on the first part" Suro taps his fingers on his chin. "But the second part.. list a few member" 

"Rev, Rookie, Yuki, sometimes Toko" 

"Aren't they all loud individuals themselves?" Suro looked at Rinne. "That doesn't mean they don't enjoy peace and quiet." Rinne sighed and looked back at the duo who was just chatting at a volume only the two can hear. "As for the size of a shelter" Suro chimed. "Yuki and I found a location just in case we find survivors, we can always go there.. Fortunately, Toko agreed we can move there" Suro smiled. 

"And you didn't even tell me?" Rinne looked offended, rolling his eyes and puffing his cheeks a bit. "It was supposed to be the topic for tomorrow's meeting," Suro chuckled and walked in the direction of the two. "I have no space to argue huh?" 

"None." 

The duo saw Suro and Rinne walking back to their direction, one of them waving at them with a smile. "I forgot to ask," One of them started. "What.. are your names?" He asked nervously. "How rude of me to not introduce ourselves. I am Suro and this is my partner, well partner for today: Rinne" Rinne waved his hand at them. "and you two are?" 

"Koe and this wanna be hero is Kaitou" Koe simply introduced. "What brings you two here?" Koe asks once again "Well, we were on an expedition, that's it. Wasn't expecting to run into some survivors" Rinne giggled when he saw Koe nudging Kaitou. "Well since we're here, why don't you come with us and help with the expedition?" Rinne offered which had Koe accepting immediately but leaving Kaitou skeptical. 

"Kaitou?" 

"I don't trust it." He crosses his arms and looks away. "How would I know you're not gonna stab me in the back or something?" Koe rolled his eyes at his friend's antics and insisted that they just leave him be. "Alright, suit yourself. Let's go" Koe started walking, having the two follow behind.

"Eh?! Oi! What the fuck?!" Kaitou began running up to them without hesitation, leading the three in a fit of laughter. 

Once the laughing had died down the four just chit chatted the whole walk to the market. 

"When you recruited people, did they immediately trust you?" Kaitou asks and Rinne shakes his head in response. "It's normal for people to distrust us, especially with what's going on" The two nodded. 

"That reminds me of the first time we recruited Rookie."

Suro chuckled at the thought. "The moment she saw us, she pointed a gun at Nora" Suro then shook his head. 

"It is quite an impression," Rinne smiled. "Anyways we're here"

Rev looked at the clock then sighed. "What's wrong?" Nora popped out of nowhere and asked. "Suro and Rinne are taking their sweet time, hm?" He chuckled and continued to clean the weapons that's laid down in front of him on a table. "Rookie is definitely gonna freak out when Rinne comes home injured" Nora teased and sat next to Rev. 

"Oh definitely" 

The two started to joke around, not noticing a person had stepped out of their room and came to check up on them. 

"Nora?" A voice called out from the kitchen and Nora immediately looked up. "Yuki?" She called back, getting up from her seat and walking to the kitchen; there, she spotted Yuki. "You wanna eat?" They offered Nora a plate and Nora, not wanting to be rude, just agreed to eat with Yuki. 

A couple minutes passed and Rookie stepped out of the room, hair drenched and a towel on top of her head. "Hm?" She looked around the room. "Are they not back yet" 

"I was surprised, myself.'' Rev chimed in as he was putting away his cleaning tools. "I see" She sighed and walked to the kitchen— grabbing an energy drink from the fridge, popping it open before drinking it.

"Rookie in distress" Nora giggled at her own comment. "A bit stressed, yeah" Rookie gave Nora and Yuki a quick smile before sipping the drink in her hand. 

Soon enough— they heard the jiggling of the door knob and revealed Suro, Rinne and two new faces. Though Rookie could care less about the two new faces as she puts down her drink and instantly approaches Rinne, wrapping her arm around Rinne's waist and pulling him into a chaste kiss. Suro cleared his throat and Rinne pulled away, panting a bit— a face red and flustered. Rookie rolled her eyes and grabbed Rinne's hand and dragged him to their shared bedroom. 

"Off they go.." Rev commented then got up to greet the two new people. "Hello, I assume Suro and Rinne recruited you. I am Rev, one of the survivors if that wasn't obvious" He held out his hand to Koe and Koe gladly shook it. "Hello! I'm Koe and this is my friend Kaitou, I'm glad there's more survivors than just the two of us" Koe smiled. Kaitou noticed the two people occupying the kitchen. "So exactly how many people are in here?" He asks, looking at Suro who just shrugged. "Honestly, I lost count" He laughed and picked up the bag filled with materials and foods. "Help me with these Rev" He instructed and Rev followed suit. 

"I'll inform Toko that there's new people" Nora stood up and walked to where the Director's room is located. Yuki got up grabbing two cups of water and some snacks. They walked up to the two boys and led them to the couch and placed the snacks and water on the coffee table. "We're most likely going to have a meeting so we can all introduce each other," Yuki said, resting a hand on their hips. "Don't look so nervous now, we won't bite." Yuki then chuckled. "You two can relax now, we're all safe here" Yuki assured and walked to the Director's room and knocked. 

"Come in" They heard Toko yell out, opening the door which revealed Toko and Nora having a little chat in the bedroom. "I heard there's new people?" Toko asks and Yuki nodded. "Yeah, I can tell they're a bit nervous but that's no surprise" Yuki smiled softly and Toko nodded. "We might have a meeting tonight" She said while tapping a finger on the desk. 

"I thought you'd say that" Yuki then leaned against the wall and admired Nora. "Make them feel at home for the time being" Toko reminded them and the two followed.

Ah, sentimental cringey answer...It's Time by Imagine Dragons. For one, Night Visions fucks severely and I'm convinced anyone who doesn't think otherwise just likes to meme on Radioactive and never listened to the rest of the album. For two, the song came out when I was at a real low point both with my physical and mental health, and the lyrics and melody were just something I needed then.

Bonus points, it is 100% the reason I got the dragon tattoo on my leg in college once I was no longer at that rock bottom.

Unraveled by OK Goodnight. Casey Lee Williams's vocals are beloved by RWBY fans, but she and the band deserve more recognition overall. The Under the Veil EP is only four songs and takes up much of my brainspace. Great vocals, great musical composition, wild lyrics. Unraveled is my fav of the four.

23.5 Degrees Ep 1 - 8 Live Blogging

I've been wanting a MilkLove series since I watched Bad Buddy in early 2022 and now I finally get to watch it! I'm excited, I've liked the gifs and clips I've seen on social media. It's a regular high school drama but I can enjoy those when done well, so I'm hoping it's charming.

I wanted to watch more of this show while it was on air but it was exam season, so I avoided watching anything that was airing, but now I'll watch up to the first 8 episodes and watch the last few eps (9-12) as they air.

I think I wish that love was juuuust a teeny bit better of an actor? Make her lines seem slightly more natural cuz most people are doing well and she's doing well too but it sometimes feels like she's acting rather than being the character Sun. But it might also have to do with her character and the script giving her lines that make it feel like her sentences aren't genuine.

The show reminds me of My School President, which makes sense since they're high school shows, and this one reminds me of that one ep when they had to do the club fair and set up that "cafe" thing.

Sun really gave Ongsa so much opportunity to explain but like.. what even is there to explain, I guess

I think I need to gain more empathy fr because how are you as a 16 year old just... leaving without informing anybody and not picking up anybody's calls just to wallow? Tell your friends/family that you're just gonna hang out outside or pick up their calls to let them know that you're not dead even when you're going through something. This irritated me recently in I Fly Towards You the drama with the ML's younger brother as well.

ooof, I don't want Sun to be the one who acts normal and rational and kind and reaches out first and is understanding with little to no effort from Ongsa's end beyond wallowing in her self-pity

Sun literally having to beg and run after Ongsa to get her to talk to her, don't piss me offffff

I don't remember when this happened in the show but the people on BE Podcast were saying that Ongsa sent a photo of something from her room (her ceiling with lights?) to Sun and that's how she was gonna get caught. Anyway, the phone notifications were another massive way to get caught and seems that was the way they went.

I can't believe it took 20 minutes of show (no joke, like 10 mins of part 3 and 10 mins of part 4) before they made up and are now getting to know each other again agh. And we see so much of Ongsa's devastation but barely anything from Sun and she's the one who has to chase after Ongsa smhh It's as if Sun isn't a real character for real, she has no emotions or agency or function beyond being somebody pretty and nice who Ongsa likes.

I do get her fear and anxiety that she's a girl and Sun's a girl and she doesn't know how they could ever work it out but I think I'd be more receptive to her feelings in this scenario if Ongsa didn't hurt Sun repeatedly and then Sun have to take the initiative to patch it up.

Thoughts so far:

I caught up!

The show is cute but I don't know if I did a good thing by deciding to start it when there are still 4 eps left. It's a cute high school show, which might be a better binge than watching 45-55 mins a week because it may not keep my interest. I don't know, we'll see.

I find Ongsa-Sun to be cute but I don't feel like I have an emotional connection to them.

On the other hand, I'm quite invested in Aylin-Luna and love Aylin! It's especially fun because I became Obsessed with ViewJune after seeing a few edits from 10YT of them being enemies and then friends? I was shipping them and retweeting their edits and stuff and then !! the ship actually materialized in this show, that's wild (first spotted in Dangerous Romance but idk if they even really happened there lol), especially because they weren't supposed to be in this at all (instead GeminiFourth were gonna be the side ship). I guess many people other than me were also into their chemistry in 10YT. Like I didn't even watch the show, didn't know anything about them but still was hooked on twitter and tiktok edits.

We still have a third of the show left, I wonder what it'll be about. I think I saw something about a scholarship mentioned? Going abroad?
