So why don’t we talk about the aftermath of Nya’s merging with the ocean in the prospect of being clean?

How afraid was she when a single drop of water touched her skin, leaving her trembling in anticipation for when the water melded into her skin, or her skin melded into the water?

How terrified was she of showers?

How frightened was she of baths?

How long did she sit in a bath, rocking back and forth unable to stand up and leave because she can feel herself forgetting. Can feel herself merging again.

How often did Jay have to sit in the bath with her, or next to her, to keep her conscious and aware so she won’t drown? How often did Kai watch Nya flinch back from water, the same way he did as if it would swallow him whole? How often did Cole see Nya fear water the same way he did long ago, in fear that it would send them to a state and a place they would never wish to enter? How often did Zane watch Nya try to suppress her fear of her own element the same way he did, in fear of it taking over?

How much grief was Nya in when she realised that if her will was not as strong as it is, she would’ve ended up like how Nyad did?

there is something to be said about the fact that sten invites the warden with him to par vollen when the warden leaving right after the blight would be a neglection of their duties– and duty is something sten holds very sacred. the warden's job is not done at the end of the blight, especially if alistair was killed or made king. someone has to rebuild the wardens and deal with the lingering darkspawn. and still, sten offers the warden a way out. a way to relieve themself of that duty and choose a new path, which is something he previously was pretty adamantly against.
